Before I start, I must say that this is the best White Castle I have been to, next to the one on 79th & Stony Island. They would EASILY get 5 stars because their food is alway hot, fresh and delicious! But WHY 4 stars?! Because they are SLOW as you know what! My son and I went in yesterday at 9:40. I had a hair appointment at 10. I was thinking that I could quickly grab something for me and my son to eat so we won't have to wait afterwards to eat. Boy was I ever so WRONG! It was not busy. At all. It was only 2 cars in drive thru and 1 person ahead of me in the lobby. I stood there and watched them literally DRAG THEIR FEET! They were taking their sweet time. It doesn't take long to make 6 chicken rings, a chicken sandwich, a small fry and small sprite! So now it's 10:05, and I'm now late for my hair appointment, and pissed! I asked them what was taking so long, and they says they were waiting on my fries. It doesn't take 25 minutes for fries to cook. When I finally got my order, she didn't even give me my sprite! If their food wasn't so good and fresh, I wouldn't even bother to come back. If you are in a hurry, DON'T come here!

I've never really had a reason to make it to White Castle before, but stopped by after seeing their veggie burger ads. I really like how a lot of fast food restaurants have been incorporating vegetarian options into their menus (hey, veggie eaters need a break, too). I got one veggie burger and their chocolate dipped cheesecake. While very caloric, I'm sure, I enjoyed both--and hope to be back for more! Customer service was average (what you'd expect out of a place that has sliding doors INSIDE of their restaurant establishment).

Restaurant review Harold and Kumar are not going to this White Castle. I was in a rush to get dinner and run back to the hospital to work. I ordered one of the combo meals after waiting 5 minute to place my order as they were preoccupied with taking a drive thru order. I waited another 10 minutes before my sliders were ready. This is flat out crazy that fast food in a place that had no customer but me and my 2 co-workers along with maybe 2 drive thru cars would take as long. Food also is not cheap compared to what you get down the street at Poor Boys. I will not be back period. Pro: if you have munchies for sliders this is the place to go Cons: super slow service, no sit down inside, expensive Hidden gem: Check the website for coupons. Sign up for the email club

Their shrimp nibblers are the best from any other location. I gave it 3 stars for one reason and it is because of manger. She was so nice and when the teenage idiots got my order wrong, she handled it with the utmost professionalism I have ever encountered. Best employee I have met. If remember correctly her name was sarah. So to you sarah thank you for showing me so much respect as a customer

I grew up going to the "mothership" White Castle on 79th Street. So I kind of know how this goes. You walk in. There might be a line outside of the door, or no line at all. Either way, you usually have to wait. The person on the other side of the bulletproof glass grunts something at you like, "what do you want?" You tell them. Then you wait. And wait. And wait. While you're waiting, you don't look down at the dirty floors, and you push out of your mind how unsanitary the workstations are that you can see through the bulletproof glass. In the end, you are rewarded with what you hope are some decent sliders and onion rings. These are things that normally do not merit a review -- unless something horrible happens, like the time I got a rather nasty case of food poisoning at the White Castle on Wabash & Cermak in Chicago. But I happened to be out this way for work, and this White Castle was so counterintuitive, so unlike any other I've ever experienced, I would be shirking my duties as a good Yelper if I didn't shout this place out. First, I was greeted with a smile. A smile! And then I was asked "How may I help you?" (Say what?!) I gave my order -- and I even asked for a substitution that was accommodated (bottled water instead of a soft drink). About 3 minutes later, I got a fresh, delicious, piping hot order of sliders and onion rings, washed down with bottled water because, you know, I'm, er, ah, watching my figure here. I've never in my life been to a cleaner White Castle with friendlier or more attentive employees. I know I turned around a couple of times when I was smiled at and even thanked for my business. Are these aliens from V, or White Castle employees? Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Yes I had just had a filling lunch an hour earlier... but driving back to my hotel I passed White Castle like a beacon in the night.. except it was day... and I was not drunk.. While in Chicago I had to have my White Castle fix however it is never as good as it was when you had it after drinking.. nonetheless I can not fault White Castle for the lack of my inebriation, after all it was only 2 pm. Service was fast, food was hot.. This location has outside seating but none inside and no restroom so perhaps it is good I had not been drinking..
