Went in there Sunday to get my usual 2 dogs w/everything, totally on point. I brought my son to experience the wagon. He ordered the depression special 7 inch pizza n pop. Been meanin' to order the pizza, it looks great. I took a bite n thought the sauce was da bomb. Initially they burnt his pizza so they told us they were gonna make another. While my son waited, the helpful lovely young lady at the counter gave him some free soft serve. He enjoyed it immensely. We also ordered the seasoned steak fries, good stuff. Definitely recommend this institution.

For years, Used to have the best Polish around (steamed), went in today it was deep fried (yech). Prices are great and my daughter really enjoyed her house burger.Looking forward to the opening of the dining room (since March). I hope they address the drainage problem in the parking lot soon.

I got the Pioneer burger which had Bbq beef and an onion ring on it. The burger was very tasty. The fries were very good as well. Wondering what else I should get next time. I went back and got the meat ball sandwich and fries. Let me say very good. Gives Bartolinis and Rubinos a run for their money!

Definitely 5STARS*****!!!!! This is the BEST burger I have ever had!!!! My friend insisted that we drive in from the city to have a burger and he was right!!! I will be back:) Also the service was great! BRAVO!

Love their hot dogs. Always stop when in the area and never have been disappointed.

How much can you expect from a place called the weenie wagon? Well whatever you guessed you have definitely underestimated. This place serves more than dongs. And the gyro I ordered was ginormous. I am from California where Greek food is popular but Illinois knows how to do it better. Big portions, great food, reasonably priced. I would come again but I'm not ordering a dong.

Johnny's easily earns 5 stars for the amazing burgers. They are always busy around lunch, and he is always on top of it! The meat has a wonderful sear, it is very juicy, and the toppings are crisp and fresh.

I just had a hotdog with everything from Johnny's Wee Nee Wagon and it was good. A nice soft poppy sead bun with a pork dog. The dog was hot and the vegetables were all cold and its good to get the cold and the hot with every bite. Not too much mustard on the dog. I like that. Not the cleanest hot dog joint in the area but it is a wagon.

I grew up in the area, so I've had their dogs since I was a kid. This is the first time I've been back in a while, and I was pleasantly surprised by a really good dog! The nostalgia of the old place is another thing you just can't find anywhere else. A lot of these newer places pay a lot of money for a retro, rustic, or even run-down look, and few accomplish it in a way that actually brings you back in time. Nice job, John!

Excellent. Good portions... We got gyros with salad and a bunch of burgers. Was verry tasty. This my new fav place in the area. Will return.

Best Ribeye Steak sandwich around. Increadible price for a great sandwich. Great people, great place and great food. 'Cute girls behind the counter' too. Keep the good food coming Johnny.

I grew up eating polish sausage, hotdogs, and burgers from Willie's WeeNee wagon. Man, that food was good. So I was thrilled to find that the place was still in operation after all these years, although with a name change, a change in management, and a complete redecoration/overhaul of the premises. Unfortunately, the food not only wasn't anywhere near as good as it used to be, it just wasn't very good by any standard. Of course, it could have been that I just happened to visit on an off day. Maybe the cook wasn't one of their better cooks that night. Friendly staff. I'll give them another try, but my hopes aren't too high.

This place used to be named Willy's Wee Nee Wagon (it has a better ring doesn't it). But a few years back, maybe 2003, the place was renamed due to change of ownership. It's good to see they kept the last part of the name. With the change of ownership, Johnny (I'm guessing that's the name of the new owner) repaved the lot, repainted and fixed up the place. Yes, there is no seating inside, only picnic tables outside. If it is cold outside, you eat in your car, kind of reminiscent of the 50's burger joints, which this looks like (I wasn't around in those times, but I imagine that's what it was like). I think it's pretty cool. There's not a lot of places left like this, (places that are not corporations like McDonalds, Burger King, etc...which serve substandard quality food) This place is awesome! Fresh fast food with great taste? Wow! What a concept! I've been going here for years and it never dissapoints. Yes, the place looks like a truckstop burger shack, but it IS goooooood!! It looks better than it used to when it Willy's, but the quality and flavor of the original are still there. The burgers are always juicy, delicious, and great. Best burger in town, indeed!!! I'd rank their burgers in my top three for great taste, fresh condiments, and overall kick-assness (I know this is not a word, but they do kick ass) The hot dogs are also good and have a nice crisp crunch to them. No fries here, just chips. I don't have a problem with that. You tend to enjoy the food more than try to fill up with fries. Try the shakes as well, with a long range flavors of more than just vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, which are also great. Try Johnny's, and you'll keep coming back.

When I see a roadside burger shack with rope lettering, a gravel lot, neon decorations and signs that boast the best burger in town, I'm helplessly drawn in. Johnny's confused me by being a "Wee Nee Wagon" that mostly served hamburgers. I had a double burger ($2.89) and a can of pop (80 cents). The burger was deliciously fatty with very fresh condiments. But it wasn't very big. I can hardly finish a regular burger at Portillo's, and I had no problem scarfing down Johnny's double burger. I wanted some fries to fill me up, but Johnny's only has bags of chips. They do offer something called a "tamale dog," which I absolutely must try on my next visit. Is it a tamale with hot dog meat? A hot dog flavored with tamale juice? Meat encased in a corn husk inside intestine? The possibilities are endless. The guy behind the counter seemed to remember everyone's names and (even though it was my first visit) kindly called me buddy and hooked my food up fast. There's no indoor seating, other than a bench where you can wait for your order, but several outdoor picnic tables provided me with a nice place to eat on a beautiful November afternoon. Everyone else was eating in their cars. Weird.

ive eaten at johneys wee nee wagon and was surprised that it was not called willies. i met my realtor there when i was buying a house in the area and he told me the whole story about how willie started out with a wagon and worked his way up to the building. i could swear i could see a part of the wagon out in front along the north side of the building in the grass. i recently discovered willies wee nee wagon on the southest corner of oak park ave and 167th street in tinley park behind the mobil gas station but have yet to go in and look for willie himself.

I have been going to the wee nee wagon for years for lunch but never tried there newly specialty pizzas. After seeing so many posts on Facebook about this pizza I had to try it. had the chicken Philly pizza with 4 cans of pop and dessert for a price that was untouchable by any other pizza places out there. my first time ordering this pizza I didn't think it would be enough to feed my family so I ordered some extra food just incase. when I was given the pizza at the door I couldn't believe the weight of this pizza. this chicken Philly was packed with ingredients and the cheese they use really made this pizza!!! this was by far the best pizza I've ever had. we always ordered our pizzas from kenootz but we have been looking for a new pizza place in the area since kenootz has been screwing up our orders and the pizzas were coming burnt and all the cheese shifted to one side like the delivery guy was just tossing our pizza around. definitely would never order from there or any other pizza place after trying these fully loaded pizzas. we have been ordering from johnny's for the past month trying each of there specialty pizzas. there all excellent but the chicken Philly is my personal favorite. keep up the good work guys.

Good food for a good price, try the double breakfast cheeseburger ;) They also have antique carshows in the summer.

This was a diamond in the ruff! Awesome food! Service was excellent! Would recommend if you happen to be around. Enjoy!

I am happy to report that this place still uses the original grill to cook its burgers that they used in the old "wagon" that used to be outside. The "wagon is long gone and the name has changed from Willie's to Johnny's, Johnny is a great owner, he has worked hard to keep up the tradition of good food at a fair price. Johnny and Frank research all there vendors to find just the right products to offer on the menu. They are doing some expanding and hope to have a drive-thru and possibly indoor seating soon.

I used to go to Willie's WeeNee Wagon when i just a little hot pup. Back in the 80s... there is a reason for the way it is. Back when I first started goin there, ridin in the back of my dad's pickup, the weenee wagon WAS a weenee wagon. An old hot dog cart, established in 1955. Just a trailer with enough room to grill burgers and serve hot dogs. There were coolers outside where you got your cans of soda, and bags of chips hanging from a rack on the outside of the trailer, as there was no room for a deep fryer in the trailer. Being Chicago, and just a trailer it was closed during the winters, until they built the current building which houses the restaurant now. The building was originally named Willie's Winter Wagon, and you could still get food from the trailer during the summer months, and ice cream from the building. (Which I had a hell of time eating a chocolate cone while riding in the back of a pickup truck going 55 mph.... can you say brown splatter)? At some point, after I moved to Texas, the trailer was retired, and the place was sold, but I was there recently and the food hasn't changed. You still can't get fries, and the hot dogs are still damn good. Long live the Wee-Nee Wagon. I forget if they still sell the shirts that say "We Relish Your Buns" though...

There are few things as wonderful as old time charm and excellent, classic American food. Well, Johnny's Wee Nee Wagon has all of that plus impeccable customer service and the prices are unbeatable. The kind of place to take the whole family, it is just darling and very very charming. Huge selection of foods to choose from so everyone in your gang will be happy. If you haven't already gone to eat there, stop what you are doing and go now.
