Very friendly staff. The food is not bad....but nothing to write home about. I wish they had a little more variety in the menu.

If you are in this area this is a must stop. We stayed overnight nearby and came here for breakfast. The 10" pancake is enough to share for 2. The omelet was great. The bacon was cooked just perfect. Reasonable prices.

After long day/night of drinking at the Eric Church concert in Marion (June 2015), my wife and I were in need of a good recovery breakfast before our 4 hour drive home. Luckily, I had done my yelp homework before the trip and bookmarked the vault cafe. We arrived about 9:30am on Father's Day and only had a 10 minute wait, so things were off to a good start. Our waitress said the Hawaiian bread French toast was a favorite of the locals, but my heart led me to the "10 inch hotcake". Luckily my wife went with the toast so we got to see it all. The pancake was easily in my top 3 of all time, with serious contention for 1st place. Combine the food quality with the outstanding service and extremely reasonable prices...If this wasn't a 4 hour drive from home, I'd be a regular. If you are nearby and are at least a little hungry, give them a try. You'll be happy you did.

Cracker Barrel, or something new, different, a change.....wouldn't be a mistake to try this place out. Unique restaurant concept. Great food and service! Try out the omelet, french toast and pancakes....... that's what we did .. :)

Very interesting place. Cafe inside an old bank, vault and all. Went for breakfast all was good. Friendly staff, portions were nice size. Had scrambled eggs, bacon, and waffle combo. Added french toast on Hawaiian bread, greatness. They have 10in pancakes avaliable. Great place and highly recommend.

Very good for breakfast. I wasn't impressed with the one time I had lunch there, and neither was my mom. However, I've eaten breakfast here a few times and it's very good. Reasonably priced and good portions. Servers and owner are friendly. The restaurant is in an old bank building, hence the name. I believe there's actually a table in the old bank vault so you can eat in there if you choose.

Stopped here on the way home from Thanksgiving and so glad we did. Great place with the friendliest owner! The cafe is in an old bank building the you can walk into the vault which the kids love! Breakfast/lunch place with food as you'd expect but very good service. You feel like you are really helping a local business owner and encouraging an older part of town's revitalization. If you are close, you NEED to visit!

Solid, well cooked breakfast food ( they also do lunch). Maybe nothing fancy but what you do get is well prepared, solid fare. We had the two eggs with bacon and fried potatoes; I had the biscuits and my husband had french toast. All home cooked, simple and delicious. Nice staff and definitely looked like a local favorite. No espresso drinks, not that I expected it, but plenty of coffee and service with a smile.

Heading back to the Chicago area and decided to check out Marion in hopes of getting a good lunch. And we did. Cute, open restaurant that used to be a bank. I got the Rueben special with potato salad. The Reuben was great, very flavorful on marble rye. The potato salad was homemade. The portion sizes were just right. Nice server too. Get there before 2:00 though, only a breakfast and lunch restaurant.

We were traveling through and decided take a few mile detour to stop by the Vault Cafe based on other reviews. It is a great find! One of the best Rueben sandwiches we've ever had (it was a special off the day). The wrap had nice crisp lettuce. Bacon was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and prices more than fair. Would love to stop again to try the biscuits and gravy.

This place was pretty cool inside.... It used to be an actual bank. I had the cheese soup and it went well with my Cobb salad. My father in law raved about the potato salad that came with his sandwich . The man in charge was very friendly.

Better breakfast than lunch, but I am very pleased with the eggs Benedict and the French toast. The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful and architecturally stunning for this area. Worth visiting just to look in the old bank vault.
