This Starbucks is the go to after the dentist. The employees don't enjoy what they're doing. It seems like it's just a job. But they are young and don't understand that you can make a "job" what you like or not, and thus settle and do a mediocre job. No perks for being a customer like, hello when you come in, and exit greetings... Just "ho hum it's you... another customer".... The order was completed well enough, it's just the service that leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.

This Starbucks is best used as an order-and-go (or order-and-run), or with earplugs. Anti-relaxation and noise pollution is part of the culture of the staff here, and they probably don't even realize it. It's cultural inattention to the customer experience as a facet of its reputation. Corporate is due to visit, surely, and hopefully install sound-absorbing tiles on the ceilings and walls. For me, it's expected and normal to hear steaming, covered blenders and an occasional phone ringer mix with the unremarkable music choices at any Starbucks. Beeping machines will more-often-than-not triple-beep for ~30-seconds or more before nearby staff shut it off. Banging ice machine duties frequently echo loudly off the walls. Banging pitchers hit the counter with forceful substance. Banging blenders and containers will reverberate in the sink almost as if on-purpose. Incessant talking by staff in the back room flows through the open kitchen door. Backroom conversations flow directly in to the store as customers come in and duties need attending to. Inter-staff conversations--and even normal staff/customer conversations--are loud and front-and-center because the machines behind the counter make it difficult to hear themselves. Even the cash register's beep is set to the loudest setting, probably to hear it over all the other noise, above.

This Starbucks is really, really slow. Probably the slowest Starbucks I have ever been in. There are 3 separate entrances to the parking lot, two of which lead to the drive thru lane. This leads to some confusion and can really slow things down. The drinks are average for a Starbucks. Service is average. Therefore, this place is just a-ok.

The staff is prompt and the coffee is good. There are always peeps sucking up the wifi and lolly gagging about. That is good because that is what this is for. Ample parking conveniently located off Ogden.

I figured it was high time for me to update my review because I have started frequenting this location again to get work done. The baristas during the day are still pretty loud, but better than the baristas that worked there back when I wrote my review. The baristas who work during the evening are much quieter, which I always appreciate. Despite the occasional issues with noise levels on account of the baristas, the service is actually excellent. They are friendly and even gave me two free drink coupons when they had forgotten about my order for a mere five minutes. When I went to redeem one of my free drinks yesterday, she suggested I make it a large because it was free anyway. So, I've been able to get over the sometimes noisy baristas by putting in headphones and listening to music. There are still not enough outlets, but the wifi works consistently very well, which is always appreciated. I'll continue to come here while doing work with my fingers crossed that it isn't crowded like it often gets in the evenings.

Greeted when I walked in. Ok took my order. Waited for my latte and 15 minutes had passed. Not one of the 6 employees asked if I needed any thing else. Of course I asked If I can get the drink I ordered. Took three attempts before one of them acknowledged me. They were way too busy chatting on their head sets to each other. Wow horrible!!! Guess the conversation was way to good to make my latte... How can a manager allow this. Oh wait they were in the conversation as well!!! Not pleasing or acceptable.

Unbelievable slow service. Order a drink the 5 people who order behind you get there drinks before you do, than more than likely you will be walking out the door with the wrong drink. The Rush on Roosevelt

I've made this starbucks a frequent haunt of mine since moving to the west suburbs. I'm seeing a lot of criticism in these past reviews, but I've been to this location at least twice a week for the past 10 months, so probably over a hundred visits, and I've never had any issue with drinks or disgruntled employees. I love the sofa and the general layout, and the ample and accessible parking available. My only complaint is that at time the internal temperature is too cold, and every once in a while they'll closer earlier than their posted hours. But the drinks are always good and on time, you see a stready stream of regulars (myself included) and patrons are generally not too loud or inconsiderate of neighbors. It's a cafe, not a library, so some noise is expected. And yes, I'm one of those people who camps out for hours, but thats what I come to do, to work and read and get things done. Its ridiculous to expect employees to shower you with beaming smiles all the time, to pamper you with blandishments every single time you come in. They do that at other starbucks locations I've been to and I derive no extra pleasure from that mode of operating. Most employees at this location are friendly enough to say hi with a smile and thank you, and that's good enough for me. This is not a four star restaurant downtown. It's a cafe. Be real.

Not too happy about this Starbucks location. Seems like they're always busy and you are just another customer so they don't really care how they make your drink. The staff should be better trained in how to give excellent customer service.

Two starbucks in the area, this one and 1 at North Riverside mall, which i refuse to go to....plus they are only open for "mall hours". So if i want starbucks this is where i have to go. The baristas here are AWFUL!!!!!!! Have NEVER got my drink right ONE TIME! I order a grande iced whole milk chai.........4 pumps chai, fill milk to line, fill glass with ice. How hard is that??????? Yet everytime i get one from this location, it tastes watered down, or too much milk. Drink is never even the proper color brown. HORRIBLE

I frequent this Starbucks because it's convenient on the way into the city and because it's the only one around. Service is always poor but you put up with it. Today I went inside instead of driving through. Parking here is impossible. I had to park in the Walgreens lot. I ordered a regular freaking latte. There was only one person making drinks while others were working on filling supplies. The drive thru wasn't THAT busy but someone ordered a lot of blended drinks. My latte cup sat and sat. In between 2-3 blended preps the server would move my cup closer to the espresso machine. There's nobody ahead of me inside the place. 3 minutes later she filled the frother and started it. 2-3 more blended drinks. I ask for my money back. The server snaps at me and finally my cup has espresso. She snaps again and dumps the milk in my cup and slides it to me. After 10 minutes I have coffee. I'm back at the car, taking a sip. This isn't a latte. It's warm milk. It has some color but the server definitely only put 1 shot is espresso. Major disappointment. This place is lucky there's no competition. They either need to staff up or get it together.

I can't believe how many reviewers are drowning in their own tears over this Starbucks. Are you kidding me? They used too much foamed milk? They used soy milk instead of 2%? Y'all are ridiculous! I had a Vanilla Latte earlier today from this location and it was delicious. It tasted just as bad for me as any other Starbucks I have been to AND I had service with a smile! I know I'm grumpy in the morning before I have my coffee... Maybe that's why all of my fellow Yelpers have their panties in a bunch over this place.

Consistency is the key to 4 bucks. They do a good latte. I'm still looking for a busy starbucks where I can give a fake name. Until then, I'll live with their perfecto lattes.

I have to downgrade my review on this location. I continue to have issues with them messing up my order. There have been too many times where they made the wrong drink. I always go through the drive-thru, so most times I don't realize it's wrong until I drive away. A few times it was obvious because it was a cold drink that was the wrong color, so I had them fix it right there. I frequent several different Starbucks each week and I have yet to have an issue at any other location. On one recent occasion, I drove off before realizing it was the wrong drink, so I actually turned back and went thru the drive-thru. I let them know in the speaker that it was the wrong drink, so they could start making the right one (there was a line, so I treated this like a regular order). They apologized and started making the correct one. When I got back to the window, I went to hand the wrong drink back and the barista said "what do you want me to do with this?" I'm like "I don't know, I guess you can throw it out. I'm not going to drink it." She gave me a look of mild disgust and annoyance, took the drink and dumped it. I now review every drink and food item I order before driving off. I don't do this at any other location because I hate holding up the line. I swear I don't order anything complicated. The only thing different about my drink is I ask for non-fat milk. I've always thought the stands at O'Hare Airport are the worst Starbucks. I now believe these guys are right there with them. I need to find a better coffee shop in my area.

Have been going to this location for years and have never had bad customer service like I did today in the drive thru. I was Cut off by a man that wasn't paying any attention of his surroundings other than his phone and he decides to lie in order to get free coffee and when I explained what happened all the manager and employer could say was we don't have cameras and I'm sorry. I understand they probably hear everything in the drive thru but when I tried to let them know what happened and that others behind me can tell them the same thing the manager didn't care at all, completely unprofessional she was. I guess they don't care about their regulars at all and will just focus on their male customers who lie and also call females f***ing b****.

This is the worst Starbucks in the area. The customer service never fails to be horrible. I'm not kidding. There's one nice barista, a red-haired guy, who's the best at making drinks too, but other than that, nuh-uh. They've gotten drinks wrong, but what place doesn't. The main reason I'm giving this place a 1 star is a result of way too many unfriendly customer service experiences. Better off going to North Riverside Mall for some coffee; at least those baristas are pleasant.

I can't say I have ever had a bad experience here. I usually prefer to go through the drive thru but on my latest visit I did go inside. The only thing I can say about this place that bugs me (like many other places) is that people sit and lounge for hours on their computers "working" taking up seats. Go to the library already!!

The experience at this store is ALWAYS unpleasant and it just keeps getting worse. The store is always dirty--(tables, condiment area, serving area) and the display cabinet is never full--any time of day. They also seem to start to close much earlier than "closing time". I don't like conflict so I never say anything although I wouldn't be surprised if they are constantly arguing with customers. The woman who took my order this evening made a stupid comment after I asker her not too put too much ice in my hot tea. Her co-worker followed with, "that water is about 200 degrees, it's not gonna make a difference", and they continued on and on. I replied, "if you give bad attitude, expect the same or worse". I know people who work at Starbucks and they tell me how great of a place it is to work at--is it because people can get away with treating customers with total disrespect?

This Starbucks is the most convenient cafe in the area. The drive thru is speedy & the staff is AWESOME! Inside the store is real clean (even the washrooms) and theres always someone outside picking up trash and cleaning the windows. I've been coming to this location side it was built, years ago, and have had almost none of the issues others have had. The staff has always been friendly, and I've never seen it unclean on the inside. It's one of the only locations with the drive through open until 11 on weeknights (most close at 10) and even at 10:59, they are still happy to take an order. I honestly can't think of a bad thing to say about this location. I can't think I've been lucky the hundreds of times I've gone

Hm, right after I raved about it, I went and received a sub-par frappucino. It wasn't blended properly so I was left with frozen chunks. Not to mention the cashier girls were too busy talking about facebook and iPhones to hand me my drink...

I only gave it two stars because it's Starbucks and I do like their coffee. Especially a nice black-eye non-fat misto on an early Sunday morning with the kids. HOWEVER, mistos apparently aren't picked up by the baristas in the drive through line as the man told me this morning after waiting for over 5 minutes while all the other drive thru drinks continued to pile up by the window. Can you say work flow flaw? Plus the chicks here are snooty. They remind me of salon gals. What's up with that? Still go cause it's close to the house and sometimes you need a bit more than Dunkin...

This Starbucks suffers from having been the only one in this coffee desert for too long. There are finally other options, namely the one on 17th Ave. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone through the drive through only to find something wretched and wrong about my beverage, from way too much half n half to actual grounds at the bottom (the horror!) The attitude of many many of the worker bees at this location leaves much to be desired in the customer service department. The straw that broke the camel's back - I always bring my own cup and let them know at the drive through that I have my own cup. What do they do at this location? They fix the beverage in their cup, pour it into mine when I arrive at the window and then throw the original cup in the trash.
