Really enjoyed breakfast here. Everything tasted great. Good value. Reminded me of First Watch, very similar setup.

Service is top notch here. We had only been there a couple other times before and the waiter/waitress remembered us, our kids names AND what we liked to eat. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice breakfast at a great price with excellent service.

Nice atmosphere, good service, and good food. What else can you ask for in a breakfast place? The coffee was flowing and the conversation kept going. I recommend the skillets.

3 straight bad experiences but Egg Harbor saved it. Long wait, saw other people that came after us seated. Asked when we would be seated after several such occasions and were seated. Waitress came by and let us know she'd be right back after putting an order in. 2 minutes later, another waiter came by and took our order. Than we waited. And waited. 4 year old is getting impatient (and hungry!). Waiter comes by and pretty nonchalantly tells us he never put in our order and we have to order again because he never bothered to write it down and clearly doesn't remember. He needs more time on customer service and less on his hair. We were upset. This was our third bad service at 3 different restaurants in a row. Here is where Egg Harbor shined. The initial Waitress came over twice and apologized and assured us we were now a priority. The Manager also stopped by and apologized profusely. When we asked for the check, the Manager again came personally to our table and comped the meal. This turned from a I would never come back situation to a you have the benefit of the doubt situation. After 3 bad experiences in a row at 3 different restaurants, Egg Harbor cared the most and it came through in spades.

We had GREAT service today at the Yorktown location. The food was delicious and our waitress Taylor(female) was outstanding!! The food was reasonably priced and the portions were not overwhelming. We will be returning here for breakfast for the remainder of our stay. We returned to this location on Monday August 17th our waiter Taylor(male) was Awesome. The service was wonderful and we will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!!

Great place for a brunch. Plan to wait on any weekend though at least 20 mins. I had their new eggs Benedict that was amazing with fresh veggies! Friend had a lobster soufflé ( I think it was a soufflé) regardless it was amazing too. During weekends they have a balloon guys that walks around for the kids. Nice treat good family atmosphere.

I stopped here for lunch before walking around the mall, the is a good bonus for Yorktown Mall. We were seated promptly and warmly, the waitress soon arrived and took our drink order. Egg Harbor has a very large menu and includes a lot of healthy menu items. I did not choose a healthy item, I had the Egg Harbor Cafe special Santa Fe Roll ups. They were very tasty with good flavor and fresh ingredients. The service here was very good, our waitress was prompt and friendly. I would say I enjoyed their breakfast more, so will definitely go back for breakfast.

This place gets 4.5 stars, not just 4. The offering of Strawberry OJ was perfect. And is perfect. Fresh squeezed orange juice with a big taste of strawberry is so great first thing in the morning. Probably any time for that matter. I saw lobster on the menu, and that's what I ordered. While we waited for breakfast, my date was commenting on kids and how he didn't want any. But I did note to him how well behaved they all were and how quiet they all were. (And there were a lot of kids all over). Then we saw the Balloon Man. Whoever hired this guy to make balloon animals is a GENIOUS!!! (happy dinosaurs with teeth! - who does that? who CAN do that!!?) Had the smiling kids mesmerized! Breakfast came and mine was the perfect size boat of creamy scrambled eggs and nice lobster chunks (and I can be ultra picky with my lobster - these were fab. They are what I would expect at the Ritz Carlton. No joke.) and just enough cheese to comlpiment and not overwhelm. The country potatoes that came with it were really good too = pan fried cuboids that were not greasy at all! I was at the shop in Arlington Heights and I don't remember it being so good. I wil remember the breakfast here. Thank you!

Got the standard breakfast , what better way to rate a new restaraunt . Eggs were nice and fluffy. The hash browns were delicious with chives being a nice touch. Turkey bacon was pretty good and the English muffin with preserves was a welcome twist. My basic takeaway was diner breakfast taken up a notch. Which brings me to the only real negative, you're going to pay for that extra notch. Little pricey and slightly undersized portions. Great friendly server and some amazing options on the menu (cinnamon roll French toast anyone?) Will probably warrant another visit.

This place was once my favorite. However will never order from here again and I constantly tell my coworkers not to also. They always forget at least two things when you order to go. The tiny orange juice that is six dollars is not fresh squeezed. Fresh squeezed orange juice gives you energy does not taste like sugar. The manager Lauren or something similar is rude. When you tell them they are wrong they get defensive. The customer is never right in this place. They are cheap about the quantity and quality of the food. The portions are small and the food is not worth the price. And I'm not saying that from a one time experience. I'm saying that from dozens of times of being in this establishment. I'm done it's over. I'm never going back here. I'll drive to Naperville and eat at Eggsperience.

I love "cluck, cluck!" That is what me and my family call this place because there are chickens and roosters everywhere :) But seriously, this place is so good! I even had my baby shower here and everything went so smoothly. They host events after they close so you have the entire restaurant for your party. Can't get much better than that! The food is delicious. I always get the Door County Melt. The service is friendly and reliable. And the atmosphere/decor is great and feels like home. On a farm or ranch. "Cluck, cluck!"

I would prefer to give this restaurant 3.5 stars but since you can't, I'm boosting it up to 4 because my wife really likes this restaurant. I find the food good but the portions on the small size. The potatoes are good and the jam is superb but the omelets could be bigger. The restaurant is located right at the entrance to the mall which I like. I would not go through the whole mall to eat here. When we arrived last Saturday there was a large group of people waiting for a table. I was doubtful when they said it would be 10 minutes and sure enough, it was. I would like this place better if they had a hungry man option for their portions. I would be willing to pay more and not leave wishing I had eaten more. On the other hand, we left to watch a movie across the parking lot and I still had room for popcorn so overall, a win.

Really great service and good food. The location is just inside the Yorktown shopping center. They seem to keep things moving and turn tables pretty efficiently. Also a good selection of 'specials'.

Love this place! The staff is friendly and the food is awesome. They are always very accommodating for my family. The cassie's crepes and the door county chicken salad are both favorites. They also offer special touches like homemade preserves and flavored oj. We try to go for weekend breakfast every weekend.

Too crammed and too loud to actually enjoy a conversation. I should have known this when I got a weird look for wanting to bring my stroller inside. I don't know if they were having an off day but all around me I kept hearing food complaints and service complaints. I saw the woman next to us send her food back and the table behind us keep asking where their food was (in a reasonable time frame). I got added to that crappy service list when my cold sandwich was served on a hot plate with a wilted salad. Thank goodness the soup was good otherwise I would have nothing in my stomach. I will add that my mom had the Swedish pancakes and she enjoyed them.

Love the Hinsdale location but this location served me undercooked bacon. When I asked for it to be cooked more, they brought it back greasy, sizzlin bacon in greasy plate... lol - no wipe down before bringing to me. I ordered medium over easy eggs, but eggs were over runny. The muffins looked like they had been brushed with yellow stuff. Too much melted butter, dripping out from the muffin crevices...tasted nasty. The server was nice and attentive..too bad my breakfast was soo under par.

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant ever! It's located in Yorktown mall, but is right by the entrance, so it is super convenient! The skillet is my go to item and it never disappoints. The potatoes come diced with it. Yum!

all the pictures look good~ surprised that it wasn't crowded on a Sunday morning(after we ate i see why) ---got a meat skillet had about 2 tbs of meat and 1 TBS of cheese ~~~ cheapskates the bacon in it was TOTALLY burnt to a CRISP ~about 3/4 of my way thru i spit out a bite -something taste BAD had to be a piece of meat (hoping i don't get sick later) i usually am not able to finish a Skillet~~ this one was so sparse i finished the whole {3/4 cup } of food on the plate then they seated a screaming baby in the middle of the restaurant so everyone could ENJOY the screaming WILL NOT RETURN !!

My sister and I went this morning for breakfast and it was delicious. Every Egg Harbor Cafe is always great, and I'm never disappointed. I don't remember our waitress's name, but she was genuinely nice and talked with us at length instead of a "I'm talking to you cause I'm paid to" kind of attitude. The other employees we talked with were all very friendly as well.

Having been to 3 locations I can say that consistency and soul warming brunches are why I come here. If you love anything egg related, Egg Harbor Café is the place to come. Everything tastes very homemade and hearty. I don't recommend it for the calorie conscious, unless its a cheat day! In fact, this is a great way to start your cheat day! I had the Caprese Frittata and loved it, potatoes were nicely seasoned. The best part is, its in the mall, so you can walk around a bit to cure your food coma!

  • Elizabeth H.

This Egg Harbor is sadly not as good as the one in Hinsdale. I can't really explain why, but it...just isn't. However, it IS good. The prices are a little on the high side for a breakfast place, but you're paying for where you're choosing to eat (Hinsdale or OakBrook areas). The menu is decent, the service is consistently good... and we'll be back because we love breakfast, and they really always have good food. I've never had a bad meal here, breakfast or lunch.

This is my first review but I had to write it because the food was so bad. I can't believe the reviews are so good. We ordered a traditional breakfast, eggs, potatoes, pancakes and turkey sausage. The portions were small (kids meal size) and the pancakes were so mushy, no fluff at all! The turkey sausage was the worst I have ever eaten. I asked if they could take It back and make them well done because they looked raw, but they still tasted awful. The worst part is that after 2 eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes and pancakes- I am still not satisfied and will probably have to eat in an hour or so. Needless to say, I won't ever be back! I rather spend my money at the Baked Apple Company!

Solid breakfast, lots and lots of options (it's frankly a bit overwhelming in a good way), affordable. Coffee used to be a bit weak but they started using Intelligentsia!! Not what you would expect at a suburban chain, made me happy. Nothing too fancy on the menu, but many savory and sweet combos including things like banana bread French toast with eggs and bacon. And usually still around $10 even for the combos. Service is always friendly, the place is full of kitschy country decor and table settings. Definitely worth checking out!

  • Johnny A.

This is more of a 2.5 star review which I will round up to 3. Short and sweet - average food, but prices are on the high side. You'll get much more bang for your buck (and a bit better food) at say Denny's. Not bad by any means, but not anything over 3 stars for economical reasons alone. The food is nowhere near being out of this world... To all the reviewers below who rave about this place as if its the holy grail.. they are WAY OVER-RATING this establishment.

  • Dhruv P.

Decent food, huge portions, friendly service. I usually come here every few months when I'm at a client and the good thing about this place is they serve breakfast late into the day (they close around 3pm) and that I know what I'm getting myself into. The food is mostly standard fare, nothing experimental at all. But that's fine, because sometimes, I just want the basics.

    (3)
  • Patrick B.

Decent food but a notch below Juicy O's. I'd say it's better than Denny's but I thought it was just OK. Good, fast service. Friendly wait staff.

  • Jessie W.

I went there with a friend of mine for breakfast on Friday May 9th and it was just okay. I had the lobster and cream cheese scrambler. I was really heavy on the cream cheese and I didn't see how it was a 3 egg scramble, the potatoes were just okay but I think I had 10 on my plate. The portions were very small for the price and I left out of there still hungry. When I go out to breakfast I normally am stuffed and get a doggie bag for later but not at this place. There are so many options for breakfast I wouldn't go back. I know this place has gotten great reviews but it just isn't for me. The one thing I do want to say is that we had a wonderful waiter and the coffee was very good.

Lets' see. I've been to four different Egg Harbor locations and I find them very similar. I know this particular location has a huge wait on Sundays. Arrive early. An Egg Harbor Cafe is not the place to relax and have a quiet chat when it's busy. (Aren't they always busy?) The tables are pretty close together, there are large groups, families with small children, and staff with carpet sweepers right at your feet. The tables are small for the number of people at them and amount of food crammed onto them. I wouldn't call the seating comfortable. So why go here? Well sometimes you want a breakfast that really should be classified as dessert. Or sometimes you want a breakfast made up of the five major food groups: meat, meat, meat, eggs, and cheese. Or sometimes you're like me and you want Cassie's Crepes; a strange but delicious dish of crepes filled with scrambled eggs, avocado, mushrooms, cheese & topped with poppyseed dressing. Most people seem to find something here they like. Most of my friends and family can agree on Egg Harbor when they can't agree on other places to eat. And, this is big, the coffee is decent ... and it keeps coming. Despite the clatter, chatter, and crowding this place works for me for breakfast out. It's a solid choice.

  • LOIS B.

Egg Harbor is consistent with their food, no matter which Egg Harbor you visit. This is convenient to have a great breakfast before you start your day of shopping. I have found that week-ends and lunch time are usually the most crowded, but the wait is pretty manageable. The menu has something for everyone and there are daily specials. I can't imagine that there is NOT something for everyone. Service is quick, food served hot or cold as indicated not because it has been sitting, waiting to be delivered to its table. Go, enjoy. None of the pretentiousness of other Egg Harbors.

Waiter Spencer is awesome! Food is delicious; we had the Bacado (bacon avocado omelette) and the San Antonio Skillet (chorizo) -- yum all the way! The prices are very affordable and the atmosphere warm, perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast. Only drawback was the wait but once we got inside it was a very efficient operations (food three minutes after ordering, quick checkout taking bill to the front register). Definitely worth a visit.

Wow, the regular pancakes and, moreover, the BANANA BREAD FRENCH TOAST were amazing! $10/plate for the combo breakfast also gets you a couple eggs and sausage links or patties. All of it was cooked very well and extremely speedily with pleasant service. Would love to eat here again.

My friends and I go every quarter after finals because we enjoy breakfast/brunch food. It's intimate and the service is pretty great. Everyone that works there is really nice. The menu is extensive, and there is a lot to choose from. Skillets, benedicts and omelets are all good! It's only open until 2pm everyday though, so plan accordingly!

I love Egg Harbor, even though I know it is a chain. However, there isn't one really close to my house because I live in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. I can hear you gasping, south and west of the city? Here there be dragons, yes? Why yes, it's where Yelp check ins fall into a black hole, they don't count on any leaderboard that is how much of a bald headed step child we are. But I digress. To get my Egg Harbor fix I have to drive north and this is one which I like to frequent. It's sortof in the mall but not really. It's not typical mall food and I like the cutesy ambiance inside. I love their eggs, their English muffins, their juices and their coffee. Now I just wish Egg Harbor and Yelp would realize there is life south of Rte. 80. For real, I sh*t you not.

I look forward to coming back here next time I'm in town. This was our first visit, and we are definitely returning! I had some of THE BEST pancakes I have ever had here. And I'm glad I ordered them the first time around, or it may have been several viists over several years before I ever tried them. Everyone is super-nice here. Kids even get their choice of a little rubber ducky on the way out. So cute. There is an entrance from the mall or from the parking lot.

I much prefer the Downer's Grove location. I also much prefer eating crepes and drinking excellent coffee if I'm going to a restaurant for breakfast, but I haven't quite made my life perfect yet. C'est la vie. A breakfast restaurant absolutely needs exceptional coffee or else it leaves a huge void in the experience and a great argument to anyone that wants to drag me here. It surprises me just how bad coffee can be, and at times how awful the service can be. I understand mistakes and always keep a level head when it comes to any wait staff, but shaking her head and sighing after I tell the waitress I asked for French toast, not Texas toast and then picking up the toast with napkins like I might have peed on it before I brought it to her attention did it for me. Why would I request something Texan when French is available? Common sense, lady.

  • Michele S.

Love me some Egg Harbor! This is our regular breakfast spot. I've never had a bad meal here, and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. What I love about the food here is that it's not swimming in grease. If I get a skillet, I don't see that rim of grease around the edge like you do at some places. Also, the food is always fresh, and the serving sizes are not obnoxiously huge (which I like). Love the coffee because it's flavorful and strong. They'll also put a carafe on the table, so go ahead and drink up to your hearts content. They'll also give you a cup to take some coffee with you when you leave if you like. Sundays can be really busy if you come in after 9am. I've never had to wait very long because they seem to keep things moving quickly. They do have a little coffee stand for those who are in the hall waiting.

Wow!!! EHC what happen? I have always enjoyed coming to this spot for breakfast spot but they disappointed me this trip. I have been here at least over ten times and this is the first time that the food looked so great but it was bland and dry! I always always get the chicken and wild rice soup but this time it was watered down and void of ALL flavor. Coffee was watered down! WTH is going on? I understand its a recession and people are trying to save on everything but what I loved most about Egg Harbor was they always offered the BEST of everything. I definitely will second guess myself the next time I am in Lombard and want to head over to EHC. :(

This is a very popular place for breakfast and lunch and often you'll need to wait to get a table, but not too long. I think the prices are on the high side but I love the food. I enjoy the iced water with lemon on the table- you don't have to wait for refills and it tastes great and refreshing. My standby order is their Cinnamon Roll French Toast combo- I think this is the best cinnamon roll french toast anywhere! It is probably one of the worst things health-wise you can order, but it is so delicious that I don't care. The last few times I've had it, though, it seemed just a little under-cooked. I order the combo which comes with eggs (I think their scrambled eggs always come out perfect) and I choose the bacon- I agree with another reviewer- I don't know how they do it but it is crispy and uniquely perfect. I also recommend you try their freshly squeezed strawberry orange juice! Again on the pricey-side but so great.

  • Viola P.

In my opinion, the food is only average and would rate just three stars but I'm adding a star because of how awesome this place is for kids! I don't have any and generally prefer the sort of restaurants that kids hate but when with my niece and nephew, I go their way. There's a huge kid's menu printed on a sheet they can color on, crayons are handed out freely, the waitstaff must be hired based on sheer patience and kindness alone and for the grownups? Virtually unlimited coffee! There's free coffee while you wait, a carafe is served with your actual coffee order, and they offer you a to-go cup upon departure. This is so awesome! I love that they prefer happy customers to making extra profit on something that costs so little to make. It's a little thing like that that makes me happy to return and, in turn, makes them more money in the long run. Win win! Long story short, go here with your kids. You'll all be pleased.

My wife and I recently spent a couple of nights at the Westin in Lombard and had two great breakfasts at the nearby Egg Harbor Cafe. While the food is nothing fancy or spectacular, it is very good considering the inexpensive pricing and they have a nice menu - lots of options but you do not get the feel that they are trying to do too much. Both of our servers were extremely friendly as was the host and cashier. They were very accommodating the second morning when we were in a hurry and mentioned that we needed to be in and out quickly; the host sent our server to us immediately and she made sure our food came out fast and that are bill arrived the moment we finished our food. The coffee is fairly good and as a nice touch they offered us complimentary to go coffees at the end of the meal (much appreciated by us as my wife and I are both coffee addicts).

I love Egg Harbor for breakfast on a weekend. Healthier breakfast and lunch options without all the high fat greasy options that are available out there. Free coffee while you wait...great selection of fresh juice. Everything served is hot and fresh. Service is with a smile even on the busiest mornings. I recommend checking it out.

Had breakfast here a while back with a friend. We both thought it was excellent. If one were close to me, I'd visit every once in a while (Blueberry Hill in La Grange is really close to me - that's pretty tough competition - I eat there often).

Love this place - I come to a convention held at the hotel across the parking lot every Thanksgiving weekend and make it a point to have breakfast here every day I can. I've had everything from omelets to scrambles to French toast to pancakes, and I've never been the least bit disappointed. And on top of the food, their waitress Phyllis is one of the best I've ever dealt with: always pleasant, never rushed, makes sure everything is just right.

Egg Harbor in Yorktown is a branch of the Egg Harbor chain. This store is an average, unremarkable breakfast restaurant, although it has a convenient location, in Yorktown Mall. Egg Harbor is unexceptional. It is an average quality restaurant that serves an average quality breakfast up until early afternoon. Service is adequate and unremarkable one way or the other. In decor and ambience, the restaurant is clean, cheery and lively. This might be the main appeal of Egg Harbor, since food and service definitely are not. On the other hand, the restaurant dining space is quite noisy. Curiously, the other customers in Egg Harbor quickly become annoying, whereas at some other restaurant one would hardly notice others while enjoying one's own meal. Egg Harbor is a good place to meet friends for breakfast, but not so good to go with a friend to enjoy a leisurely Sunday breakfast and share the newspaper. Prices are not exactly out of line, but Egg Harbor is a bit on the steep side for what you get, namely mediocre coffee, eggs, juice, pancakes, and the like. Partial compensation is provided by the clean and modern decor. Parking is decent since the store is right in the mall. Unfortunately, it faces the lots which fill up the most, the lots in front of Carson's and Von Maur. Expect to park some distance and to walk a bit from your parking space. Also, there is often a short wait to be seated. Egg Harbor is an ok place to meet for breakfast, or to grab a bite before or during shopping in Yorktown or that area. Otherwise, it is not worth the trip.

I was craving an egg salad sandwich, and this place did the trick. Chicken and rice soup was great as well. I would pass on the salad next time, as it was soggy and warm. BTW, the coffee mugs are cool!

Just a terrible experience. My wife and I went to the Egg Harbor in the Yorktown Shopping Center. Never Again. Her Banana Bread French Toast was cold we reordered it and it still was not right but my wife is not a complainer she just did not eat it. I ordered a cheddar and jack cheese omelette with bacon. When the waitress came back with our order I was shocked it took less then ten minutes. There was no bacon or jack cheese in the "three" egg omelette and it had a few sprinkles of cheddar cheese on the top When I pointed out first that there was no bacon she brought me two of the greasiest strips of bacon. I had to wipe the dry with my napkin. The main thing is an omelette should be fluffy and have some height. This omelette was as flat as a pancake. Today's breakfast was a waste of $25.00. If your in a hurry and don't care what your food tastes or looks like go to Egg Harbor in Lombard.(Yorktown SC)

The menu is huge! There are so many items to choose from. I had the Georgia Cheese grits with eggs. Everything tasted great and it came out quickly. Our server was very friendly and she was attentive. The decor is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. The interior could use a little modernization. There is also plenty of parking.

THE BEST OF ALL THE EGG HARBOR LOCATIONS!!!! We go to this Egg Harbor for breakfast on Sundays. Everyone is friendly and the service is excellent. The food is always delicious, and every meal has a unique touch. When I discovered that they have a catering menu, I quickly took advantage of ordering some dishes for my Easter brunch. Every dish we ordered was superb!!! The quiche, salad, the cinnamon french toast, (THE BEST)....etc. , Everything was packed with perfect care, and all the extra touches were included , from the sides, to the condiments, making sure that not one item was left out. I was very impressed as was my family and friends who attended on Easter. We have been to other Egg Harbor locations, and this Yorktown location is by far the best of all. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any future catering needs.

Love, love LOVE Egg Harbor Cafe. I've been a fan for years. I was so sad that the one in Danada moved but remembered that the one in Yorktown was just around the corner. Phew! I've always loved EH but have come to appreciate it even more because of the healthier breakfast & lunch options. On my last visit I had the mini wrap and soup combo which also came with mixed greens. It was the perfect portion and I was pleasantly, but not uncomfortably full. The juice is always so fresh and the strawberry oj is delish. Yum! My favs are the cassie crepes, sir dugan frittata and the door county chicken salad. They close at 2:30PM and it tends to get crazy at breakfast time. So, you might want to try to do a call ahead or get there 20 minutes early and cruise the mall while you wait. I've never had a problem with service and the servers are friendly & accomodating. If you're looking for a fresh breakfast spot with plenty of tasty options for everyone, give Egg Harbor Cafe a try. You won't be disappointed.

Egg Harbor was my fav breakfast when I worked at Yorktown. You can call ahead and order takeout, which is what I would do before opening my store (an especially good option on Sunday mornings when the place is packed with a line down the hall). It's also a decent place to have a work breakfast meeting during the week. My fav item here? Hash browns covered in cheese with a side of ranch.

My boyfriend ran the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Yorktown this past weekend, and afterwards we decided to eat at Egg Harbor Cafe. Luckily we arrived before the Sunday morning rush, so our party was seated promptly. Our waiter introduced himself and quickly took our order, and our food arrived in a very timely manner. The food itself was good. I ordered one of the skillets, and although it was small, it was filling. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, but more on the expensive side. What really sets Egg Harbor Cafe apart from the competitors was the excellent service. I went to use the ladies' room and there was an "out of order" sign on the door, so I asked one of the waitresses if this was correct. She went inside the bathroom to see if everything was okay and after she stepped out, she offered to wait for me and my boyfriend's cousin outside the mens' room while we went inside. I would definitely return to Egg Harbor Cafe. There are a couple things on the menu that I really want to try on my next visit =]

Very very good food here, breakfast all day long plus special lunch dishes and combos. Really great seasonal soups. Very nice iced teas, green tea, and herbal hot teas in addition to the typical juice and coffee and sodas. Just beware of Fridays and summer days when most moms bring ther broods and it's loud (at least for me) and the waiting line gets a little nutty. They even have a little room you can use for an event or group breakfast. My favorite is Cassie's Crepes and their fresh squeezed OJ or green tea.

I LOVE Egg Harbor and have been to a number of locations. This is my least favorite. It takes a while to be seated even if there is no line. Multiple times I've had to wait while the greeter/seater person is having a personal conversation with someone else. They have recently changed their turkey burger and it is sub-par. I asked and they said there was no change-but the burger I was served was not what I was used to receiving there or any other location. They are flexible with larger groups and kid friendly which I appreciate.

Well, I decided to try this because of the good reviews it has gotten, and while it was decent, I wasn't blown away. My kids had the rainbow pancake, which was a giant pancake with MnM's in it--they loved it, of course. My husband got eggs, bacon, harbor potatoes and english muffin. He said it was good--not spectacular or anything, just your average breakfast. My order was a turkey club with harbor potatoes, and some cream of chicken and wild rice soup. The potatoes were meh--kind of dried out, kind of flavorless. The soup was not good. It didn't taste homemade at all, just like a crappy can soup you can find at the grocery store. No yumminess. My club sandwich was good--not too much mayo, good bread, lots of turkey. No complaints on the sandwich. I might come here again and try something different......possibly.

This is one of my favorite breakfast locations. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. I especially like their summer menu with lemon options - lemon french toast, lemon crepes, etc. They also have great skillets with fresh veggies and yummy homestyle potatoes. Because of its great food and service, EH can be quite busy on the weekends, and you may need to wait. However, they always have fresh coffee for waiting guests!

All of the food at this local chain is delicious, both breakfast and lunch. You can't go wrong. My favorite items here involve bacon. I don't know what they do to it, but they can somehow make bacon even better than it usually is. That said, do NOT come here on a day when school is out - the place is overrun with with moms not looking after their toddlers and teenyboppers looking to fill up before a day of cruising the mall. You will have a very long wait amongst a bunch of overbearing, whiny diners. It gets really bad on Saturday and Sunday mornings too. I guess I'm suggesting you go here for lunch or a weekday breakfast.

Eggceptional food and service. Ok stupid joke, but really this place knows how to do breakfast. My wife and I came on a Sunday morning, usually the worst time to go to a good breakfast spot because the wait will be forever. There was a good sized crowd gathering out front when we arrived. The wait was less than 10 mins. And the free coffee out front was great. Even though the place was packed our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Our food arrived freaky fast and everything was delicious. These guys do a damn good benedict. My only complaint is that they need a location in the milwaukee area. They'll have two regular customers if they do.

I haven't eaten at an Egg Harbor Cafe in years...and I know they're a chain, but I always seem to LOVE my food at EH. I had brunch here with one of my dearest friends, and it was very delightful. I had the French Country Fritatta...eggs, scallions, bacon, spinach, goat cheese, topped with jack cheese and a dollop of sour cream and slice of tomato...it was heaven. Served with an English muffin and delicious little potatoes, it was a fantabulous meal that both of us raved about! She had french toast with some special kind of bread (can't remember which)...which was also very good. And of course, this is one of those lovely establishments that leave your own carafe of coffee on the table! The service was quick, friendly, and not intrusive... If I lived in the burbs, I'd definitely frequent this place!

Terrible! Pancakes, bacon, potatoes all were undercooked. One star because the waffle was ok and the server did a good job.

I've been here a couple afternoons with my moms for some lunchy. I really like their food. The omelets are good and I like that you can get breakfast or lunch. It does make actually deciding on a meal a lil tough though. My fav is the veggie sandwich.I like how it comes with the breakfast potatoes that way I get a little breakfast,a lil lunch both sides of me are happy. It also comes with a salad with a great zesty dressing! The service is usually pretty friendly.I think the only reason I just cant give more then 3 stars is the decor. It like some old ladies barn, theres roosters, chickens and barns all over the place.Needs a lil updating thats all.

I love eating lunch here. The service is great and the food is awesome! The price is a bit high but you get large portions of food (depending on what you order). Wish they were open for dinner.

This place was the biggest disappointment ever. The portions are small, its fairly expensive and it has a chain-rest. feeling to it. The worst was the brown and serve style sausages. I would say this place, and their sausage is similar to Denny's.

i love egg harbor cafe. i've been here a few times, and i think the one in wheaton (before it closed down) was better, but this is still the same great quality breakfast food and friendly service. cons: they do not serve pickles if you eat lunch there. =)

Egg Harbor is great! I've eaten here numerous times, and have never been disappointed. I'm not a huge breakfast person, however, this place is great! Their breakfast potatoes and poppyseed dressing (ok, I don't eat them together, but you get the idea!) are scrumptious! If you're in the burbs, it's worth a try. Also, they accommodate larger parties if you call ahead.

OK ladies I can see you are all familiar with Egg Harbor, however I just got back from my first dining experience ever so I feel I am obliged to review it. I had the Chicken Cesar salad (I know real adventurous) but it was AWESOME......but WAAAAAAY too big!! It had eggs in it as well which I love in a good Cesar salad. My friend that I was dining with had the chix salad sandwich and she swears it was the best lunch ever. The service was good and although the line was out the door they sat and served us rather quickly and he stayed on top of my diet coke (which is hard with me!!). The only downside is that I feel it is a bit pricey I had the salad and a diet coke and my bill was $15 after tip, but well worth it. I just couldn't afford $15 a day for lunch.
