'Home Style Meals' does not mean home cooking anymore than wearing roach killer boots indicates the wearer is a cowboy. There ain't no old-school, scratch-cookin' grannies snapping fresh beans, shuckin' corn, or manning the kitchen of your nearest Boston Market. Still, there aren't many places with a drive-thru window where you can get your veggies (or fruit) or a full meal (without getting coleslaw or instant mashed potatoes). It's nice to have more choices like green beans, salad, garlic dill new potatoes, creamed spinach, squash casserole, steamed mixed vegetables, cinnamon apples, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, or corn. There's rice, stuffing, and mac 'n cheese too. But be warned ... many of the savory sides are a little too salty and the casseroles and fruits are sweet enough to make your teeth hurt. There's an abundance of corn syrup and polysyllabic fillers in most of this stuff too. Nutrition here: bostonmarket.com/ourFood… There's also the "cornbread". I use quotes because I am from The South and I would never call those tiny, loaf-shaped, sweet-ish, dry accompaniments to every Boston Market meal cornbread. They are an abomination. The rotisserie chicken tastes fine. I'd say no better or worse than the rotisserie chicken from a chain grocery store. It's always moist. Maybe a bit too salty. I hate to admit it, but I've tried the meatloaf. Also fine. Don't tell me what's in it, I don't want to know. The turkey is pretty decent! It tastes closer to home cooking to me than anything else at Boston Market. It's also convenient to be able to get (or have someone else get) drive-thru chicken noodle soup when you are under the weather. The quality and consistency of the food at this location has declined in the last few years and we've all but stopped coming here. The garlic dill new potatoes are sometimes hard & undercooked and have little or no "butter" sauce. The stuffing is sometimes mushy & bland and sometimes hard & dry, as if no one bothers to measure the amount of liquid required. At the same time prices have increased a great deal. I don't feel the convenience offsets quality and price any longer.

Speedy polite service. Even walked my plate to the table for me. Big portion sizes for small prices. Very clean and friendly.

Hmmm Boston market what can I say about Boston market, I will start of by saying that my mom and I get there and the line is packed but we decided to wait in it after all, we were hungry. A half hour later we finally made it to where we order our food ( I can't call them out much for the wait, after all it was a Saturday night). So we get are food we sit down I go to dig in...... And half of the portion of my chicken is pink. So I just ate the remainder of my chicken and my sides (which by the way were awesome!!). So my advice don't go on busy days because you just might find yourself with some pretty average food.

Picked up some catering for a family meal this past Sunday. The food was very good and everyone was happy. I was a little disappointed at the amount of mashed potatoes given for 7 people but it worked out. Staff was very nice. They even helped me bring everything out to my car. I will go back.

If it's "fast food" on the menu and roasting a chicken, making a pot pie from scratch, mashing sweet potatoes just right, ready to create creamed spinach & having brown sugar/marshmallows/walnuts in the pantry w/o having to run to the store, THIS Boston Market is the place to go. Whether I want a side sampler or rotisserie chicken or a decadent chicken pot pie, this place has it ready and it's fresh and wholesome and tasty. It's so much easier than cooking at home when comfort food calls me and my families name and there's a survey to answer for 20% off and various coupons in the newspaper. It has easily become a staple when I'm in Lombard and want either a small meal or a full meal. Boston Market's leftovers heat up well, too! As for service, it's phenomenal, (like that of an upscale eatery) and seems so unique, especially for a takeout joint. There's a welcome when you enter, they'll up you decide what to order, if the item is either near empty or appears to have been sitting for longer than a few previous diners, out pops a new, steaming hot one to replace the other. It's these small niceties that make a positive difference overall!

updating my review - We took a break from Boston Market for a little while. No real reason for doing that. It just happened. We've returned a couple of times in the past few months and are really liking it. As mentioned by others, the service is top notch.; They ask whether you'd like a table or booth and then they carry your plates for you. Last night the manager checked in on us a couple of times during our meal to make sure we had everything we wanted. I tried their limited time pulled pork sandwich and it too was very good. The bun was soft and fresh. I always feel like we get a good, healthy meal at Boston Market.

So they made a mistake on my order one time & it was to go. The guy took it back & I thought he was gonna change it... Came home to realize he didn't do anything at all with it. Some of the workers here are pricks... Especially the men working behind...

We wanted to try their ribs which they ran out of and it would be another 20 minutes before more would be ready. We ordered something else. The manager voluntarily comp'd us one of the meals. Now that is excellent customer service which you don't see often anymore. Kudos to the manager at this location!

I read on CNN that some businesses would be giving Tax Day Specials. Boston Market happened to be the one with a deal closest to my work, so it won by default. I decided to head over here super early in fear of crowds. I made it in at exactly 11 AM and I was one of the only people here. The deal was 2 half-pound rotisserie chickens with two sides each and cornbread. It's been at least 10 years since I've had Boston Market so I wasn't really sure which sides to order. I went for the mashed potatoes and steamed veggies as they seemed like safe choices. The mashed potatoes were really good and I loved the gravy that came with it. The steamed veggies were as I expected, bland and undersalted, but still edible. The chicken was the true star because it was not only a huge portion, but really moist and seasoned well. I wasn't expecting much for my $5 lunch, but I actually have enough left over to eat it for lunch again tomorrow. I also received a couple coupons on the bottom of my receipt so I can come back again. I thought that this was a really good value and the taste was surprisingly good as well. The two people that waited on us at the counter were friendly and helpful. I don't remember Boston Market being that great in the past, but they exceeded my expectations. I'll add them back on my dinner radar.

Service was great. Food was TERRIBLE! meatloaf was awful! Very old and dry, the loaded mash followed suit, the macaroni however, was delicious. I wont be back.

This particular Boston Market has good...no, strike that...GREAT food and the service is great as well. Every time I've come in I was greeted with a smile, taken care of quickly, received hot (and delicious) food and had that "I-wanna-go-back-for-more" feeling. The coupons they offer during the week for their Saturday buy-one-get-one-free meals are a great incentive to go back as well.

The service, cleanliness, and quality of food at the Lombard location is excellent. That is why I will go back to this Boston Market. However, the value of the overall food and pricing is way too low. It is very expensive for a tweener (fast food/fast casual) restaurant and I could really only justify going there if I was alone and close. I couldn't imagine feeding a family there when there are so many full casual restaurants in the general area. BM...I like ya but your priced a little bit out of my range for what you offer!

I haven't had Boston market in about a decade. I hated the last time I had it. Things tasted digesting. I'm pleasantly surprised that this particular location was not horrible at all. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Nothing tasted horrible at all. In fact, I would say it truly hit the spot. The staff was well-mannered. No issues with our order. Thumbs up!

Needed a quick dinner tonight ordered the zesty Bbq not so zesty. Missing something. The sides cream spinach, corn, potatoes and corn bread as usual were tasty. Should've gone with the chicken pot pie.
