I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately the people didn't seem interested in the consumer experience. They seemed as they wanted to get you in and out quick, with very little communication. The place wasn't busy, so I know it wasn't due to that. Also, they were not using gloves. They touched everything with their bare hands while handing the ice cream and the cone. Will not be going back.

What a great place to take a family or winning sports team! The owner is helpful and always smiling. My friend Kevin makes it a weekly stop because he enjoys the delicious ice cream cakes. There are always 20% off coupons so be sure to use one! They don't work for buying any memorabilia tho like the twisted cow hats which are a must have!

This place is a great Lindenhurst local spot. Im all about supporting local business and family owned spots. The decor and atmosphere is great. The employees are always nice, its tasty and affordable. Dipped waffle cones with sprinkles are the shiznit!

I think I got off on the wrong foot with The Twisted Cow when I first moved to Lake County. I asked for a black and white shake. And I have never been forgiven. What am I? Google? Look it up yourself. Turns out, "black and whites" are an east coast thing. Not the shakes (I don't think), but the name. I nicely explained (much more nicely than I did for you) what a black and white was. It completely freaked out the clerk. I changed my order as quickly as possible. But they've never forgiven me. Very, very yummy. I think the chocolate is a little to chocolatey for me, but really good soft serve. The fact that it is within walking distance helps. The only drawback is the younger clerks. They just stand around when they aren't serving a customer. Guys, wipe the tables, sweep the floor. Look busy. I'm old fashioned, I guess. I like black and whites and work ethics.

Pros: The ice cream is smooth, fresh ingredients, friendly place. Cons: Shakes are a bit too thick for my liking and there's not much variety. Overall: This is a nice neighborhood ice cream place that's definitely a step above DQ.

My family has been going to the "Cow" since it opened. It is the only place we will go for icecream. DQ does not even compare. We love it. The Twisters which is my favorite has true Oreos in it (unllike the blizzards) and it has tons more in it (again, unlike the blizzards) I have had the Cow pies which are awesome and my huband said he can't find a better place to get a hot fudge sundae. My son loves sitting at the "cow" table too.

I don't understand some of the other reviews here. The twister which is supposed to be like a blizzard from DQ, but not even close, was half melted by the time i received it and they made a mess by letting it drip all down the side of the cup. For their sake I hope it was an off night for this place.

This ice cream parlor is decorated in the 1800's style with a pressed tin ceiling and more. A great place to take the family & kids and if you have never had a rich vanilla soft serve from a real (notdqtype) soft serve place, this one is for you. Try it! I am a foodie and when I tasted the rich vanilla difference in the soft serve, I was a fan. They can make any kids party into a memorable event too. Check out the website: thetwistedcow.net

So good! I always get their frozen yogurt and it is the best frozen yogurt I've ever had. Great place and the waffle cones smell amazing.

Great ice cream. Rich and creamy. Shakes are really thick (get a spoon). The décor is fun, too - all cow themed. Highly recommend.
