Came here with 2 friends tonight. I usually don't care for corporate restaurants and I never liked Red Lobster until tonight. Adrian is a great server. Really sweet, attentive, and friendly. Great service. Host was friendly and the manager checked on us twice. Great touch. 5 stars for service. The prices seemed a little steep but its corporate. Liquor and beer was reasonably priced there. And I'm SUPER picky with margaritas and ours was perfect. My only complaint would be food pricing, but they did have a great deal on the 4 course feast (17.99). And I wish my meal were popping hot, but my spouses was. Just a personal preference. I'll be back and I'll be asking for Adrian too.

Came here with the boyfriend decided to go with the pizza and scallop shrimp linguini. Got seated quickly. Waiter was cool and always asked us if we needed anything. Food was really good. We were both satisfied and rubbed our bellies. The boyfriend took off his belt. Really good service food and atmosphere. Floors are kinda dirty and parking is horrendous (we witnessed people fighting over parking from our window while waiting for our food, pretty entertaining) but will give it the 4 stars.

I don't want to believe the service is because Golden Gate acquired Red Lobster from the Darden Restaurants Family (and I really like certain Darden Restaurants- like Longhorn and Bahama Breeze when I'm in the mood to go a Chain) but the service was outstanding and top notch. 1) Greeted instantly by the manager and was provided a clean booth to sit in. 2) Waitress- Blonde girl- I believe her name was Erica- was the ideal waitress because we were checked on constantly and she was friendly and professional without being hovering and too personable/chatty. 3) She was quick and made sure that our drinks were constantly full. 4) The food came quickly and the portions were huge (definitely not the best seafood in the area but for a chain it's okay). 5) Got a free bag of those amazing Red Lobster garlic biscuits mmmmm that were pipping hot from the oven! I will definitely be returning because the management and staff provided such a fantastic dining experience- on a Saturday night! Five stars even though there were sad lobsters in the tank :( -Review is solely based upon the service and cleanliness of the restaurant- not on the treatment of crusteaceans which is another topic in itself.

Not a nice experience at all. I never got attracted to dine at this kind of place. We decided to try it out as a whole family. Food was BAD!!! Saturated of flavor, they over seasoned every single item I tried. The medium rare steak was way over well done. When this was brought to the servers attention he apologized and offered a new steak but as it was way to late they packed it to go...."medium rare steak to go" It was just a huge disappointment and they killed my will to go back

I'm usually not a fan of chain restaurant establishments, especially for sea food, but I was out shopping at the mall and my family and I were hungry and this seemed the most appealing option for us. Well I can say that I was sorry for being such a snob. I actually enjoyed my experience quite a lot. We walked in and the place was enormous. My toddler was instantly attracted to the lobster tank. The lobsters looked huge and happy and completely ignorant of their looming fate. We were seated right away in a huge booth seat. The booths are gigantic. You could easily sit 10 people in one. The ambience was cheerful and it was filled with a lot of families, older people and date nights. The lighting was dim and intimate. The walls were covered in nautical decor. All tasteful. Those biscuits are gods gift to earth. And the fact they are unlimited made me want to cry. I literally had 7 or 8. I'm probably lying. I'm sure I ate more. I ordered the crab legs and of course delicious. Good amount of meaty crabs, some potatoes and corn on cob( those weren't too tasty, lacked a lot of flavor) my husband ordered some fish and it came with a skewer of shrimp, veggies, soup, salad. He liked it. It was a sh*t load of food. I definitely had to unbutton my jeans after. The check came and it wasn't cheap. We spent about $150. Would I pay that much again for red lobster, no. I would definitely go to half shell or king crab or something. Those places are much better and the same prices as this place. I'd stop in for lunch just for the biscuits and get a salad or something. So my overall feeling is that I was happy we stopped in and gave it a try. We had fun. I won't be returning anytime soon. I feel for the prices there are better options in the city. Biscuits are the best though. Anywhere.

I came here last week for a late lunch. Since I was by myself, I sat in the bar (slightly less awkward). Andy the bartender was my server, and he was great. I was in a bit of a hurry between errands and meetings, and he was really accommodating - he brought my check right away along with a to-go box I requested since I knew I wouldn't have time to finish everything while I was there. Thumbs up for Andy. The $7.99 lunch menu is a beautiful thing. The shrimp tacos were every bit as delicious as I remember them being when they debuted them during shrimp fest years ago. I'm so glad it's a menu staple now. And, they were even still pretty tasty reheated a few hours later for a midnight snack.

So, yes, it has been almost 4 years since my last visit to Red Lobster! Not quite sure why it has taken me almost 4 years to come back, but tonight's dinner/experience made me glad I did finally come back. Sure, granted, we all know and love those delectable cheddar bay biscuits, but, lets move on to a few other things definitely worth a mention. Delicious grilled Salmon and grilled garlic shrimp, my choice for this evening, flavor and presentation definitely made it stand out.. A winner for sure! A small caesar salad on the side with great tasting croutons.. And for dessert, the coup de resistance.. A most phenominal find called an Apple Crostada, a warm, flaky, pastry shell filled with warm apples and a scoop of ice cream with caramel sauce... This was beyond anything great I expected, if you haven't tried this yet, you must... I had a very handsome server person named Ivan, and Ivan was not terrible by any means, very charismatic and.. okay, yes, I'll stop lusting now... And Ivan was very efficient, and boy, did I tip him well! So, to Red Lobster I say Thanks for a great meal and thanks for hiding the lobster tank so I don't have to see those guys during their impending doom.. That always made me sad.. but tonight your Apple Crostada made me oh so happy.. You Rock Red Lobster, Now and Always...

Went with a party of six friends on a Saturday and the waiter was overwhelmed. We waited 25 minutes to order and another 25 minutes to receive our appetizers. He then vented to us about how the hostess should have never sat a party of our size in his section because he knew he could not serve us in a timely manner. Clearly management here needs improvement. We spoke with two managers and they are not doing anything about this. Worst experience ever. We also noticed that the smaller sized parties were served well before us even after they were seated well after us. Moreover, he avoided our table so we couldn't ask for service hence the reason we talked to the managers. I am here right now and I can only pray that the food is good at least.

I haven't been to Red Lobster in 8 years! I know its been that long because I remember that I was very pregnant with my 1st son at the time. Being pregnant, my taste buds must of been off because I remember being less than impressed with the food thus causing me not turn for so long. Recently my hubby and I were passing by when I was hit with a sudden craving for crab and this time I wasn't pregnant! I told my hubby lets stop and he agreed so parked and went inside. Long story short it was midday midweek so we were seated and greeted by a server immediately. I ordered the cosmo and he had the patron margarita, both of which were very good. I had the crab legs, which were filling and very reasonably priced. My hubby has the coconut shrimp with the pina colada dipping sauce. DELICIOUS. We left full happy and buzzed. Now we make Red Lobster a art of date night at least twice a month. I cant believe I let 8 years go by without coming back but I definitely intend on making up for lost time.

I enjoyed my experience at Red Lobster. It's not somewhere I think I'd eat at all the time, but I'll probably go back eventually. In all seriousness, you'll probably catch me at the Olive Garden next door first... I don't know why people hate on this chain so much. Granted, it was a first time for me so I think that alone always warrants a review. The service was really great; my waitress was extremely attentive and really sweet. Anyway, the biscuits were pretty good but I don't know what all the rage is about. I saw on the news some guy ate like 200 of them somewhere - WHOA - a little excessive. I had like two and that was buttery enough. I ordered a trio dish of seafood with tilapia, shrimp, and lobster mashed potatoes. Those cheesy mashed potatoes were freakin' awesome. I think they were my favorite part. The tilapia was a tad overcooked and under seasoned, but it wasn't terrible. The shrimp scampi was really good! I was actually surprised at the amount, size, and quality of shrimp! My meal also came with stuffed shrimp which I can't compliment enough. I've been craving good stuffed shrimp for a while, but I'm not a serious seafood person so I've never thought to order it. All in all, this Red Lobster is cool with me. Especially for a chain. Not too shabby.

While I generally like Red Lobster, I have to say that when I recently went to this location, the service was very poor. I was there with a colleague and when we were seated, she ordered a raspberry lemonade...which didn't arrive for about twenty minutes. It took about the same amount of time to receive our biscuits and when we finally received our salads/soup, probably an hour and 15 minutes into our visit (and the restaurant wasn't crowded) - our main entrée arrived at the same time! Our waitress admitted she was new, so we tried to be understanding...but ultimately we had to speak with a manager. To his credit, the manager was very accommodating apologetic. He returned our main entrées to ensure our food was fresh and of a higher level quality than what we originally received, provided us free desserts, and gave us a 50% discount on the bill. So, ultimately I'd return in the future given their sincere efforts to repair the situation.

Good place for dinner. If you want to go there, try to go earlier then 6p.m. because you will have to wait for free table. The area is enjoyable. The black and white pictures on the walls, which make the environment mix in modern and old times. The waitresses and waters are well trained, attentive and nice. Food is on time and so delicious. I love the "Rolls". I doubt if you can find anyone who is not crazy about their "Rolls". I highly recommend to everybody.

Very slow sluggish service. Corn on cob dry and cold. Had to ask for refill of drinks and biscuits. Stack of dirty dishes left with no pickup. Food portions and quality marginal. Prices too high for what you get. Mgr visited table. When told of problems just shook it off. Small stub of cheesecake finished off a nightmate dinner. Ugh!

Fantastic service. The food is standard across the chain; if you're a seafood person, it's average. If you're not, it's pretty good. But this location has a manager who was very involved in our meal. The waiter took one plate out to us before it was finished, and the manager swiftly handled it by covering part of the bill and being profusely apologetic. I will return just for the service.

Honestly, I don't understand why this restaurant is rated 3.5star. The food is great, especially compared to the price it charges.

Red lobster and fine seafood those two did not seem to go together. Every time I either I'm sorry I came. The service of this particular's restaurant is terrible. Always the way, the staff is not friendly, and the managers are never around. The restaurant deafly needs a good cleaning. Even though was bought by another Group it's still retains its old ways. I do not think that the seafood is fresh motor they think they have chefs, they just have cooks. When you complain that seems to be your fault don't go here

I normally don't go to chain restaurants but it was my nieces birthday and this was her request. We did not order appetizers as the cheesy garlic biscuits (I had 3) were wonderful, warm and tasty. I ordered Boston Raspberry Ice Tea. Quite sweet and it was basic tea with some carton concoction poured in. Dad ordered the Admirals Feast consisting of deep fried, clam strips, bay scallops (dime size), breaded flounder and breaded shrimp. He said is all tasted the same. Niece had the Crab Boil and loved it. Her boyfriend being a vegetarian was limited in what he could order and got a plate of pasta with marinara All in all it was a good experience. Will most likely return for other family events. The wait staff was wonderful. Not pushy. Attentive and friendly. BIG PEOPLE: The chairs are sturdy wooden and pretty comfortable. Booths are stationary.

I love the cheddar bay biscuits and will go back forever to eat them. Here's what I didn't love. My partner and I went in to this chain a few weeks ago and had awful service from the waiter, Christopher B. From not paying attention while we were ordering to not refilling my drink for almost ten minutes, he continuously left us wanting better service. We both ordered the current Endless shrimp option. We both received numerous shrimp options we did not order which inevitably went to waste. When we received the bill, my partner paid with his credit card. We had a conversation regarding how much to tip due to his poor performance. We ended up tipping 15% because we understand waiters and waitresses work mainly off of tips and sometimes they are just having a rough day. My partner is in the accounting/finance profession and is very concerned with keeping track of his finances. I personally don't even keep a copy of the customer receipt. He always writes in the tip amount on the customer copy of the receipt and keeps that receipt until the payment has cleared his account, as he did this time. Cut to a few days later when the purchase cleared his account and what did we find? The waiter's tip had been increased 5 something to $10. My partner was having none of this. He emailed the corporate address listed Red Lobster's account who then responded that they were forwarding his (my partner's) email to the manager of the specific restaurant. My partner received a call from the manager, Michael. Michael apologized profusely. He stated that once they receive the signed copy of the receipt from the company that holds them, if it shows any discrepancy Christopher B would be fired immediately as they have a strict policy. In the meantime Michael refunded the entire tip amount and sent my partner a $30 gift card for our next visit. It was very appreciated. We never heard any thing back from Michael regarding whether regarding the tip amount error. We went back this past weekend and used the gift card. Christopher B still works there. I'm hoping that there was just some type of error when the tip was entered and not that they were just lying when they said they had a strict rule. Oh damn I never checked my account after we went there the second time.

It's Red Lobster, so you know the food is good. BUT it is always so freaking packed here! Any time of the day, any season of the year. I was here for the endless shrimp promo, which was good, but I do not recommend getting so many fried dishes. So... come hungry and eat fried shrimp in moderation.

  • David L.

I ate there with family last night and had a very pleasant experience. The server was very prompt and polite, and we had a nice seat at a booth. No wait involved. My fried shrimp was so hit that I couldn't eat it at first; just how I like it. The rolls were piping hot, too. The server did forget to bring a cup of bisque, but he took it off the bill and gave us a cup to go. Overall, the best I could ask fr with a chain restaurant.

I mean, it's Red Lobster, not Shaw's. But that doesn't mean you can't get a good meal there. And you can still pay your rent. I love to settle into one of their booths, kick back with a glass of wine and some cheddar biscuits, and order a plate piled with crab alfredo. Upgrade your salad to some clam chowder for a slight upcharge and relax in creamy seafood goodness all night.

Oh Red Lobster, you're vintage in my family. I've come here soo many times I can't count them on my hands and toes probably since I was like 12, so that's many years of seafood eating in the making. We've always come with large groups and the service has always been excellent, I don't think I've ever had fair or a bad experience here. Food has always been fresh, not a place for foodies, but it's comfort food at it's finest. Here is what we always seem to get for the table and my opinions of each. -Cheddar biscuit buns-I love these, eating one is never enough. They are super soft and super yummy. I crave these all the time. -Caesar Salad-this comes with most entrees and it's probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had, watch out David Burke's, this one just might rival you. A must get. -Clam Chowder soup-Super tasty, not as good as I've had in Boston but very yummy. Once again, always consistently fresh, full of clams and comes with saltines. -Creamy spinach/seafood dip with chips-a must get for an appetizer, skip the calamari as this is the winner here! -The seafood, where to start with this one, from the crab legs, to the lobster tails (just okay) to the fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, everything is fresh and tasty. Plus, they have great lunch specials if you want to save a buck or two. Most entrees come with your choice of potato, I always get the fries for this one. Not a place to count those calories. -Chocolate cake-served with vanilla ice cream is amazing, very moist, full of dark chocolate and a huge portion enough to share with 4 people. We like to share in my family. Definitely worth trying at least once. Oh and if it's your birthday, they will come out and sing to you. My grandpa's must get here. Overall, Red Lobster is just a family classic when all else fails, it's really close to my grandpa's home and he just loves it, and because he loves it, we all love it too.

I always love visiting Red Lobster during its Lobsterfest ... actually, any other time, too. I downloaded a $10 off coupon on dinner for two so I was jazzed to go with my sister. We went on a Monday evening - so I wasn't expecting to really have to wait, but it wasn't long. We got a nice table near the window without even having to ask (I often find that I have to ask for that unless I'm with a man; for some reason - two women get put near the noisy areas like the kitchen door or high traffic areas). The waitstaff was very helpful. They knew their menu well and were very patient as we decided upon our meal. We both got the Ultimate Feast and it sure was a feast! I could have split it with someone, but seeing as how we had a coupon for $5 off each dinner, I decided I'd pack up 1/2 my meal as usual and enjoy it later. So I basically got 2 meals out of one! The whole experience was just great. The food was high quality, prepared well and presented deliciously. It's located in or near the Lincolnwood Center -- so there's shopping there, too. Macy's, Carson's -- and right next to an Olive Garden. This was my first visit to this location and I can't wait to go again!

Another chain restaurant at Lincolnwood Town Center. I've been to this location a long time ago. Red Lobster is not one of my favorites. Growing up I had some bad experiences at this location, like agonizingly slow service. That being said they have remodeled a few years back now along with Olive Garden, their neighbor next door. The parking lot however is still tight and always seems to be busy. Only thing I look forward to is the cheddar biscuits. Those are still as good as ever. My entree was just ok. I had a flounder topped with a seafood mix. It was alright... Maybe a little bland. I was glad I upgraded to the creamy Langostino lobster mashed potatoes as a side. Besides the biscuits had to be the best part of my meal. Will have to say that despite how busy it was they have stepped up their game in service. Food didn't take too long and our waiter was attentive. So I give them props for that.

Waited forever on our server. The manager actually noticed us waiting and got our drinks and biscuits and our waiter still never came around, and the manager didn't return. We flagged down a random waiter and he found ours. He was nice enough after that, but that set the tone. Then all of our very expensive food was mushy and gross. I had a lobster pot of some sort. It was really nasty. The lobster and the sausage and the potatoes were pretty much inedible. Date had steak and lobster tail and pretty much only ate the mashed potatoes.... Then I was sick with a stomach ache all night.... so there's that too. Some Red Lobsters are good, but this was is a no go.

I've been to this Red Lobster a few times with my family and it's usually pretty "meh"; it is what it is. However, last night was one of the strangest I've experienced there. First of all, I walked in with my dining companion and the hostess greeted us with a "What?" I should have known from that point on that this was going to be an interesting night. I should note that I've worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress before so I'm usually very polite and respectful to wait staff and my dinner companion is currently a chef in the industry. Now, I will point out that our particular waitress was awesome; she was professional and friendly. The other waiters, however, were a bit unprofessional. We were sat at a booth next to a wait station, where waiters go to put in their orders into the computer. A few choice comments we heard throughout our dining experience included "Hell yea, bitch! I'm outta here!" and "Well someone's having a cheat day.." Yowzas. I understand that the restaurant industry can sometimes be "not as 'professional'" as other industries, but please keep it away from the customers. It just kept going downhill. We would've stayed and spent more money on dessert and drinks, but I just wanted to get out of there immediately. In case you're wondering, the food was fine, nothing to complain about. Everyone who's eaten here knows that the biscuits are fire, which they were; amazing as usual. Just please train your staff better in professionalism!!

Red Lobster! What else is there to say? This place is the go-to place in my family for birthdays and special events. Their food is great tasting and who can forget their delicious biscuits? Sometimes I wish it was possible to walk in and just order a bunch of those biscuits to take home. Well, I'm sure it is possible, but I haven't tried that...yet. This location was pretty far from where we live but I like the area. There is the Lincolnwood Town Center for all your shopping needs and then there are a couple other restaurants in the area. This is a clean location and their service is good as well. Our server was so enthusiastic that at times it seemed like he was in a play acting scenes. Good food, good service...Red Lobster biscuits!!

It was a Friday night, and we went out for dinner which we picked red lobster as they are kids friendly. We came as a party of 4 with my son, wife, mom. We ordered 2 appetizers and they came quick. My mom and I ordered the same pick 2 entree which were fine, but my wife ordered the four course meal which didn't come out as she wanted with the marinara sauce instead of alfredo sauce for her linguine. The server did apologize and tried to make it right; however, the manager came and said cajun chicken is spicy or if you want just the regular chicken. He did not apologize or whatsoever and walked by more than 3 times and looked at us like it was our fault. He saw my wife was still waiting for her main course, and he didn't even offer something that she could have while she was waiting for her noodle dish. my wife waited another at least 15 minutes, and my mom and I already finished our meals. Her noodle finally came and she only had a few bites and wrapped it to go. The manager walked by again, and I felt he was more exercising than working.

I have had a great time at this location twice now, and figured they deserved a positive review. Great service (better than any other RL location I've ever been to). Other than that, it's a Red Lobster like any other... I come for the biscuits, don't judge me.

My mom and I came in for lunch and were in and out in an hour. Great. Biscuits were crispy, warm and fresh. I had cole slaw to start and my mom a Caesar salad. Cole slaw as usual is my favorite out there!!!! We shared both. The Caesar was great and was dressed to perfection. On to the main course. My mom and I shared a surf and turf (it was LOBSTERFEST) Woooo hoooo!!!!!!! The steak was slightly over cooked. They lose a star for that, and their blah waitress. She just didn't do it for me. Lobster was absolutely delicious. Broccoli was good and fresh and potatoes were great also. Her and I sharing we were more than full so glad we opted to do that. With tip the meal was less than $40 for good food so can't complain. Manager came around to ask how our food was so that was nice. I'll def be going back for some LOBSTERRRR :)

I always succumb to the $4 off 2 entrees coupon, then say we're going to keep it friendly here by getting the $12.99 meals... But when the check comes, it's always $45 to $55! A few drinks and dessert will do it. The biscuits are good but not as great as everyone says they are.

I had fun here, but it was due to the people I was with & mayyyybe the drinks ;) I went with 4 other people around 2pm on a weekday. Everyone ordered endless shrimp. SALTY, SALTY, SALTY!! I asked to have less salt on the shrimp or if possible, no salt at all, & the waitress said they are all pre-made so that is impossible. That just sounds gross to me. Ew. Maybe she should have worded it differently or something... No, it sounds gross no matter what. My caesar salad was DRENCHED in dressing and the lettuce was limp and soggy. Not fresh at all. After I got it, I wished I asked for dressing on the side. Of course, the cheddar biscuits were awesome, hot, & fresh, as always. I never saw the appeal in them, but they are starting to grow on me these days. We also ordered drinks. I always get the lobsterita. It was good. The waitress was alright. She is the only reason I didn't give 1 star, actually. I don't think she liked us much in the beginning, but she eventually cracked a smile & got friendlier as time went by. Needless to say, by the time I left, I never, ever, ever wanted to see or smell shrimp ever again. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. If only they reduced the amount of sodium in the shrimp.. or the sauces... or the sides, I would have left a better rating. Meh.

My office picks up lunch from this red lobster a couple times a month. The servers are all very nice and the food is always good. Once my order was a mess, the fish was soggy and they forgot my broccoli. I called and the manager sent me a gift card AND my next meal was free. He met with me personally and apologized. You just don't see that kind of dedication to service everywhere. On another occasion, myself and around 15 friends attended an annual "shrimp off" during endless shrimp. This eating competition went for 3 hours and they served us over 1000 shrimp that evening. The servers were fun and obliging and really made the night a success. I highly recommend this location and its staff.

I go to Red Lobster for one thing every year.... Endless Shrimp. It's great. Many ways to try the shrimp, and nothing goes better with anything then their Cheddar Garlic biscuits. They keep the shrimp coming, the biscuits never ending and our drinks full.

As much as I've come to enjoy dining at RL, it'd come to a 'know-what-to-expect' experience. Nice to know one can still be surprised... pleasantly. I noted on the daily specials menu, they were serving a salmon dish; jerked salmon, with a papaya glaze covered with pineapple slasa. That almost sounded too good to be true; happily, it was exactly that good. Combined with perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes and broccoli, and an awesome raspberry smoothie, the meal culminated in one of those extremely rare ocassions where the diner is supremely satisfied. No more food was needed, or wanted. The big 'Thank You!' and smiley-face on the check somehow added to the positive ambience of the whole lunch, and I gladly paid up, and tipped excessively... so sue me!

We went to this Red Lobster a few weekends back. I am only giving it 2 stars, because of how the manager handled our complaints that evening. It was a party of two at 9pm on a Friday. At this point, it was slowing down and tables were leaving. We had a short 5 minute wait, but then it took 14 minutes to be greeted. After this, another 10 to place a drink order, and then 10 more to get the actual drinks. At this point, we almost left, but the meal took a turn when almost immediately after placing our meal order (when she brought our drinks) the waitress was out with the salad and soups. However, it took nearly 30 minutes in between getting those to get our entrees. The waitress popped out only to smile and giggle as she told us 'our food walked out' of the kitchen and to another table. Her compensation? Free dessert. We questioned this as dessert was included with our meal, but she just assured we would have plenty to take home. After finally receiving our food, desserts to go, and the check we quickly left. Within a day, after submitting an online review form to Red Lobster, we received a call about our experience. He assured us he would address all of those issues, and that he wanted us to give them another chance. He sent us a gift card, which never showed after 2 weeks, and that was the end of it. We will not be returning to this Red Lobster again. The management reconciled the situation, and we are giving this RL another opportunity to earn our business.

Red Lobster is the Denny's of seafood. The commercials rave about the fresh fish preparations, but I don't believe it because I don't taste it. Ordered the combination of grilled salmon and seafood-stuffed flounder with mashed potatoes, which was drably plated on an over-sized dish, making my order look as though it was missing something. The salmon was dry and didn't flake the way it's supposed to; the seafood-stuffed flounder tasted extremely bland, feeling like a microwavable meal you could purchase at a grocery store, and was hardly "stuffed" with seafood; and the instant mashed potatoes were so perfectly round you could tell it was ice-cream scooped out. My partner ordered the combo as well - salmon and shrimp linguini alfredo with red potatoes. Salmon was the same way, dry and tough, but the pasta was pretty good and red potatoes are hard to screw up. But even the caesar salad felt flavorless, and I really don't understand the obsession people have with the biscuits. I hardly tasted cheese or garlic or anything in them except flour. The Ruby Tuesday biscuits put these puffs of dough to shame. We had a Darden gift card, so I wasn't going to nit-pick over things, but next time, I'm using it at the Olive Garden across the parking lot.

The food is just average for a chain restaurant. I found the crab legs to be skinny and no meat to them Another quirky item. I ordered a beer and a Makers Mark and was told that I could not order both at one time. So I told the waitress that my girl friend will have a beer and will have a Makers Mark. What BS. It amazes me how many people patronize this average restaurant. Parking is plenty, though shared with Olive Garden.

I personally love the food at Red Lobsters. Its always fresh and well-prepared. Its one of my favorite places to get a good shrimp pasta and some hot cheese biscuits! This location has been newly remodled and it is great.

I went to Red Lobster with my husband and brother a week ago with a gift certificate, and, I must say, the experience was less than stellar. First of all, they were out of salmon, which was the main reason we chose this particular Darden restaurant anyway. The caesar salad was too iceburg-y and overdrenched with dressing. The worst part was my entree: A recommended tilapia and vegetable with rice, cooked-in-a-bag, "deliciously seared in its own juices" type of dish. Well, the tilapia was small and unimpressive, the vegetables were boring (onions, yellow squash, and zuchini, I think--but I'm not positive of my recall here), and a little watery rice. My brother ordered a mixed array of deep-fried items, including fried shrimp, fried flounder, and fried chopped potatoes. The potatoes were amazing, the shrimp was good too, but he questioned whether the flounder was in fact flounder. "Oh, I think it's probably flounder" our waiter said when queried about the mystery fish's identity--a response that displayed dubious training in food knowledge and customer service. Still, having been a server myself for many years, I must say he was very friendly and competent prior to this verbal misstep on his part. To be fair, because I hate to be unkind, this was a bad experience, but about a year ago, also with a gift card, the three of us had a terrific meal at Red Lobster. Plus, the biscuits are terrific.

All you can eat Shrimp is crazy good. But this Red Lobster is a 'special one' since its where my family will go to when my brother wanted Red Lobster when we were younger. When he graduated law school this past May we went here because he loves Red Lobster soo much. He ate 12 chedder biscuits before his meal. On a side note I has 2 and felt like I had enough grease for the day.

Crab! Came on a date with my girlfriend on 10-13.... I love this location... There is no words to describe the bread they serve you when you walk in! H e a v e n! I originally came for the endless shrimp but could not resist getting my all time fave.....crab legs! Not salty just right and the mash was delicioso! I am a huge salad person and caesar is my guilty little pleasure...I just love how the dressing is already mixed into the salad evenly! I also ordered a cup of the potato bacon which was creamy, well flavored, not salty... My girlfriend as well passed on the shrimp and got her fave..although served as an appetizer she likes it as her main entree, the lobster pizza...it's a lot so she always ends up bringing some home! No room for dessert ;)

I don't believe I finally went to a Red Lobster. And gave it four stars. I'm a semi-foodie, and what even partial foodie goes to a Red Lobster? My excuse: friends without a car who were down south and kept seeing the "adverts" on the "tellie." It pays to advertise. Friends from London were visiting, and while watching TV were totally mesmerized and sucked in by Red Lobster commercials. We live downtown, surrounded by delicious and unique eateries, but finally succumbed to their pleas and drove all the way to Lincolnwood during rush hour--and were very pleasantly surprised. I got the parmesan-crusted tilapia and still am experiencing afterglow. It was fantastic, delicious, wonderful! Hubby got the barbeque shrimp & bacon wrapped scallops, which were good. The Brits got the $15 meal with soup salad and shrimp and were quite happy. I love the biscuits! Oh boy they are good! If it weren't for having to drive through the worst of the Kennedy during rush hour, I'd come here regularly. I want parmesan crusted tilapia. I want it now.

    1. Meal begins with waiter coughing and saying he has a cold 2. Ask for olive oil and lime for salad. Get lemons. Oil arrives layer and it's not olive. FYI: No olive oil exists at Red Lobster. 3. Food arrives after a very long wait and the order is wrong 4. One bright spot, the manager comes over asks about our meal, fixes the incorrect order and genuinely tries to make it right. Despite the low rating, I will probably give them another chance since they did try to resolve the issues.

Red Lobster is a chain, yes. So going here and expecting gourmet fish is ridiculous. You go for the biscuits and the Caesar salad and the crazy good piña coladas. RL delivers a consistent product which is pretty much the pinnacle of success for chains. We had a great dinner (broiled platter for me, fried shrimp for the boyfriend) which was enhanced greatly by our server, Ivy. I just adored her. So go and enjoy the food and don't get hung up on your sodium intake.

I hadn't been to Red Lobster in years & the last time was the on Cumberland & wasn't impressed....I was soooo impressed tonite! The food was awesome & our waitress Sarah was the best! She was a bit busy, but, took time to converse a bit & even put a candle in the dessert for our anniversary! The manager even stopped by in passing to ask how things were! We'll definitely be back!

Yes this is a Red Lobster. So when you go, your expectations should be for a Red Lobster. Everything will be awful for your health, so run that extra mile or two during your morning work out. However, it's my guilty pleasure and it's the closest one to the North Side of Chicago. I love their biscuits and we only go once a year for lobster fest. I wouldn't even try to compare it to any seafood restaurant in Chicago (apples to oranges) but it's delicious and has it's place in my heart. This one always has friendly waitstaff and the wait generally goes pretty quickly even on the weekends.

I like the coconut shrimp and cheesy biscuits. The biscuits are what keep you coming back. But, it's pretty pricey for what you get. Advice: Avoid this place like the plague if it's Lent or Father's Day. The servers will be overwhelmed.

My partner and I went to this Red Lobster location last night for dinner and I have to say, this was a great evening. Thanks to the great server (Adrien) that we had. We didn't have a long wait to be seated and as soon as we sat down there was someone ready to take our drink order and welcome us to the restaurant. Adrien was very polite and was spot on with her recommendations. The food was fantastic and everything came out in perfect timing. I highly recommend the mussels and main lobster tail. Even the dessert was great. (pineapple unsidedown cake a must!). The restaurant was very clean and the food came out hot and fresh. Everything combined just made it a perfect night and a great a memorable dining experience. Will for sure go back to that location!

I mean... it's a Red Lobster. I give it 4 stars because the food was hot and well seasoned. The wait staff was very attentive and polite. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it's a Red Lobster.

Ok so my last Red Lobster experience at the one on the southside was ha ha I shall say funny (it was horrible lol!). This one is great! The service was super great, the food was really good as always....no complaints here! No more going to the Red Lobster on the southside for me lol!

Yet another person who shamefully got really excited when I saw the words "Endless SHrimp" flash across the TV screen. And then I took the whole family. Service was great and it's always fun. My 5 year old loved the lobsters in the tank he can stare at.

Lobster was cooked either in a weird way or done wrong since it was hard and crusty on top. Waiter was alright nothing to brag about I would finish my drink and still have to ask for a refill.

Good food but awful service. We sat for 20 minutes before ever being seen, and an extra 15 just for the salad. By the time we got our crab there was no cracker, fork, bowl, or potato. Very frustrating.

All you can eat shrimp at Red Lobster! There are biscuits, sweet lemonade, plenty of water and attentive service. When you shuffle through the chain restaurant drink, dessert, appetizer and main menu it is great to see the gazillion ways you can stop your heart or work your way towards poor health. No, seriously! It is great to see all of the random stuff that I want to make but won't make because it would likely mean one more step closer to the grave. Most dishes are fried or come laced with butter but Red Lobster is definitely a notch or three above Long John Silver's. To top it off it is time for ALL YOU CAN EAT SHRIMP! For a nominal fee, it is possible to chow down on Red Lobster's selections of shrimp which will leave you breaking out in serious hives if you are allergic to shrimp. Luckily, all my days of dim sum and shrimp chip eating has left me immune to any ill effects of shrimp. While eating here we inquired if 7 plates of shrimp was anywhere near the record for the most the server had ever seen. The server informed us the record number of plates he had seen eaten was 17! Damn, better luck next year....

It's been like 10 years since I went to a Red Lobster. I was really impressed. It was the first Friday during Lent, but somehow we managed to squeeze in just before the dinner rush arrived. The customers are creepy, but the staff is really great. Our waitress was very sweet. Huge shout out to the guy that clears tables and then tells the hostess stand in a little microphone that they're ready. I've never seen someone work so efficiently before. He must have been done with each table in like, 20 seconds. My peach margarita was on point, husband's beer was ice cold. Whatever you do, get the coconut shrimp. I was looking to try something different and I'm glad I did. Soooooo good. There's a special on the menu for a 4 course meal for $16. Soup, salad, entree, dessert. Seriously, what a steal. Key lime pie was delish. The only complaint I have is that the cheddar bay biscuits were really just cheddar, but so damn good it really doesn't matter.

I am very very disappointed with this visit to my favorite Red Lobster chain restaurants. I always order main 1 1/4 pound live main lobster, stuffed. But, this time they said they were out of small one and they had only the big 3 pounders. So my sweet daughter- in- law ordered two 3 pounders for us. What a disappointment !!!!! The lobsters were over cooked, and salty , salty .... The lobster must had been starved in the tank for months. There were no meat inside the claws but had white soft boiled egg white liquid inside. Even the tails of the 3 pounder lobsters were full of over cooked meat bathed in soft boiled egg white liquid. That is the reason why the manager had never come to our table to ask how was the food!!!!!!!!! Even the famous cheesy biscuits were Salty, Salty , Salty.......and cold and chewy........... The worse part is I don't know how long it will take me to get rid of the awful taste of this meal.

Red Lobster is 'supposed' to give you the feeling like you're eating gourmet seafood, or at least that is how I thought it was when I was younger. After eating here on a few occasions, I've seemed to be less entertained and more tired of Red Lobster. It may just be this particular one, but I think I've outgrown the chain. I personally don't feel like the portions are big enough for their prices and I don't understand why lobster here is treated like its the best meat in the world. 32.99 for one lobster tail, puffed? I'm sorry but I've seen the tank in front and NONE of the lobsters look large enough to be worth so much. And the endless shrimp used to be much better. I used to be able to choose 3 different preparations of shrimp, now the choices have been narrowed to just two. And of course, while it is 'endless' I still feel like the shrimp were a little puny. And I LOVE seafood and can eat shrimp for days. And with the portion size I get for a plate, I think they'd be pretty surprised at how many I'd be putting away in one setting. All in all, food is food, and if you're craving seafood from a mediocre place who pays more attention to the marketing of it rather than the actual preparation and presentation, then Red Lobster would be great. Otherwise, do it yourself or do more research on better restaurants.

I have grown slightly tired of Red Lobster. They've taken some of my go to options off the menu and it is making my life a little harder. I usually start with mozzarella sticks. They are some of the best you'll find anywhere. My wife loves the calamari, but I don't mix well with seafood. The cheddar biscuits are delicious. I'm not a biscuit guy at all, but these just work. These are the only ones I'll eat besides my wife's. Another thing I love to start off with is the Caesar Salad. I definitely recommend trying that. As for my meal, I used to create my own with sirloin and the chicken. They now removed the option of chicken in the create your own meal. That has left me scrambling. The cajun chicken alfredo has grown on me. It is a great deal for the price. I've tried the some fish dishes to try a healthier option, but I just can't enjoy them. Don't get me wrong, they taste good...by my brain just says, "Ewww...seafood!"

WE have eaten at Red Lobsters in different parts of the country, and the food is unfailingly delicious! Some people don't like chain restaurants in principle, but you get great value at them. I much prefer Red Lobster to other "fish specialty" restaurants which charge twice as much and the fish isn't as tasty.

I'm a big nerd and one of my little guilty pleasures is having a ladies night at Red Lobster. Part joke, part love for cheesy biscuits. This one is always pretty packed for some reason but we didn't have to wait too long last night. Our waitress was slow, but she got all our substitutions and special requests right. Plus it was like a dinner theatre as she stepped on my friend's foot and told us she was a little drunk. Then she regaled us with stories of how she was 39 and had never had a credit card and how her boss told her she should be a "Big Sister". Good times. Even if everything else had sucked, at least nobody got fingered by a lobster claw or pooped on the floor like at the one on Cumberland. See mine and Jewlia K's reviews on those subjects here yelp.com/biz/CiUmxke0XA-… P.S. The parking lot is a death trap

I normally don't waste my time reviewing big franchise places such as Red Lobster, but I felt like I had a need to share my experience with you. I came here for a Valentine's Day dinner, I know, not romantic at all, but my bf and I were craving here, so we thought it was a good idea to come. Ugh, were we wrong. We got here at 6:50 and did not get to our seat until 8:15. Granted, it was Valentine's Day, so I knew we had to wait, by then I was starving and excited to eat. One of the things I always look forward to eating are their delicious, buttery, cheesy biscuits. They usually give you double the amount, but they kept giving us only two at once, which annoyed me, and I am sure we made our waitress annoyed because we kept asking for more, and especially on a day so busy as Valentine's Day, I felt like she could have saved herself the extra three trips by just giving us more biscuits. On top of the fact that we only received two biscuits at once, we also had to wait a long time for our waitress to order, to receive our food, and to give us our check. It was probably an average of 15 minutes of waiting time in between each course AFTER we finished our food, which totally could have been avoided if she was more attentive. I understand it was a busy day, but I have been to restaurants waaaay busier and had a more attentive waitress that did not take forever. Many times, she would walk past our table and completely ignore the fact we needed something, which started to make me think she was doing it on purpose. We got the seafood stuffed mushroom appetizer, a butter-herb linguine pasta with shrimp, and a fried coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce. The seafood stuffed mushroom looked nothing like it did in the picture. There was oil oozing out from the sides and no stuffing to it except for a lot of mozzarella cheese. Thank god it was pretty flavorful, otherwise I would have been really pissed. The butter-herb pasta with shrimp was pretty good, except for the fact that the shrimp looked completely not fresh, kind of like the shrimp you buy frozen. My bf and I did not enjoy our fried jumbo shrimp because it was way too sweet. We had to substitute the pina colada sauce for cocktail sauce, and the fried coconut on the shrimp was just not for us. I have definitely experienced better at a Red Lobster, but this particular Red Lobster just really pissed me off due to its extremely slow service and food quality. My craving for Red Lobster definitely died after today.

Ate here wth a senior friend who loves your coconut shrimp. She insisted I try it too on this occasion. It came dry and over cooked. Ice tea went unrefilled until food came. Pine apple not fresh. Called in spoke to manager, he said he would send a gift card which never came. Called back, spoke to manager again, gave him our names mentioned gift card that never came, he remembered and appologized took our address again. It never came again. After eating at olive garden across the parking lot, we walked over to Red Lobster and spoke to manager and relayed the situation one last time. He apologized saying he was brand new, a replacement for the last manager (apparently the one we spoke to on the phone). He told us to wait there, he ran to the back and came out with a gift card in hand. I thanked him and walked out. The gift card was for $20 I am pretty sure we spent more than that on our two meals.

My husband and I went in last night...(after having the worst tasting dinner here last week for girls night) I promised my husband I would go back becuase he loves RED LOBSTER....The service was horrible and slow....The food was even worst....The biscuits were cold...it took about a half hour to get our salad and about in hour to get our food (AFTER WE WERE SEATED) The waitress was nice but kept disappearing...it was so odd!!!!! When the food finally came out it was hot but the lobster/steak had NO taste at all ....it almost taste as if the food got cold and they threw it in the microwave to re-heat it. The texture of the lobster was weird...However the best thing about this $110.00 dinner...... is HE FINALLY DOES NOT WANT TO RETURN!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!

Seafood is a wonderful food. When eating a fresh great quality seafood, it is one of the most flavorful, delicious foods in the world that need no sauce or seasoning. I love seafood.. I love it steamed, raw, sauteed, you name it. I usually do not prefer it deep fried unless it's the rare craving for a fish and chips dish. What I do not love is seafood that has been frozen for days that is served to me over salted, over fried, over buttered, and absolutely overrated. Red lobster is atrocious. What is the point of eating seafood if you are gonna salt it up so much and over prepare it with butter and sauce such that it doesn't even taste like seafood anymore? Just go have yourself a burger and get it over with. If you want seafood, spend the extra money to get yourself some good fresh seafood. I admit that their bisquits are pretty awesome, but as for any of their seafood entrees, it makes me sad that some people consider this seafood at all.

Much to my horror I am reviewing a Red Lobster... not my choice for dining out but sometimes you have to go with the flow. Initially I was anticipating a good stiff drink and that's it. However I was somewhat pleasantly surprised when I decided to order. I had a hurricane drink (which was served in a beer glass) that was ok but overly sweet. However I found that if you ask for the margarita up without the powder mix (basically tequila, grand mainer and some lime juice) its delicious. I did try some talapia with soy/miso which was supposed to be an award winning recipe- it was bland and flavorless. After some less than satisfying experiences with the fish and seafood here I ordered the buffalo wings 9an appetizer) for my meal. They were actually some of the best buffalo wings I have had. I needed extra hot sauce though and the blue cheese dressing was so-so. The wings were hot, crisp and spicy mmmm. The chocolate cake was very good.. the key lime pie was mediocre. Summary- buffalo wings, margarita without the mix and chocolate. As long as you don't eat the seafood at red lobster you are fine.. oh and don't forget to ask for extra biscuits- they are probably the best thing there.....

Red Lobster has the best seafood ever and this location is always good. It is right next to an Olive Garden and by the Lincolnwood mall. I love when they have Lobsterfest because then I get the Lobster Lover's Dream which has a Rock Lobster tail, Maine Lobster tail, and shrimp and lobster linguini alfredo. I also like getting their stuffed flounder, maple glazed salmon and shrimp, wood grilled lobster, shrimp, and scallops, and seaside shrimp trio but everything there is good as far as I know. Everyone I know loves their cheddar biscuits too. Sometimes it may be busy there on weekends but I don't mind waiting a little extra for some salad, biscuits, and fresh seafood. Their drinks are pretty expensive but worth it. I love to get the hurricane or sangria. Try a Lobsterita if you like margaritas. They have some pretty good desserts too but I usually get the New York style cheesecake with strawberries. Very fast and friendly so try it out.

Just because it is next to a shopping mall and is part of a national chain doesn't mean is isn't good -- it is good and moderately priced. Inside decor is nice. Wait staff is nice. I have been here a number of times and always find it to be worth the money.

Shrimp batter undercooked, steak overcooked and reheated, the biscuits were Bisquick (per waitress). The mash was subpar. Only thing worth eating was the chowder. Never again.

I don't get to red Lobster all that much. I mainly go there when they offer their unlimited shrimp specials. Since they are having this special until 11/10 I figured that there is no better time than the present to get my shrimpin' fix. We came here on a Sunday around 12:30 and we were expecting a little bit of a wait. We were pleasantly suprised that there was none. As we were seated, the place wasn't even half full - an extra bonus. Debbie, pur server, was great. She was very nice and took very good care of us. We started out with the seafood artichoke dip appetizer which was amazing to say the least. We both ordered the endless shrimp. Everything was very good. I especially liked the coconut shrimp which they served with a side of pineapple/tropical dipping sauce.

We usually come here like once a year,so this recent visit is such a contrast to the one the year before.basically, one word..."service",we felt the service was lacking, frankly downright unfriendly, and while the food was great, the service aspect dominated and took away from the enjoyment of our meal.the first word out of the greeter's mouth was "it's an hour wait",which we were ok with, but not even a welcoming greeting,I mean, that's what greeters do,right? Anyway,we had a waiter, that looked stressed out,and in turn made us feel uncomfortable.we felt rushed into ordering our entrees, and when we requested another few minutes,I caught his eyes rolling up,and a visible attitude.the manager asked the surrounding few tables how they were doing, buy bypassed us.....why? Anyway,we wanted dessert, but our waiter brought out the check without asking us if wanted anything else,so we cancelled dessert, and ended our dinner promptly......oh,remember our greeter?,well not so much as a thank you or good bye when we left the restaurant.

I went here for a friend's birthday and even though I was excited to feast on one of their specials it took forever to get to our table-almost an hour - and it tasted like fast food seafood. You can get the same kind of grease at Long John Silvers.
