Love it. The steak with parmesan crust is outstanding. Crab stuffed shrimp is awesome. I even love the bread. A little pricey but good.

My absolute fav place to go. Check out the happy hour throughout the week. Totally worth it. Best drink at bar? Stormy night, yummy!!!

This review is for the bar area at happy hour time...only goes until 5:30, so you need to get there early! I had the meatballs, pretzels and bacon-wrapped scallops and all were very tasty. The service was alright, though I don't think that the server was too excited to have a table of 1 when it started getting more and more crowded. My husband was jealous that I hit this spot on a night when he couldn't make it and I'm sure I'll take him back.

I've been to Wildfire countless times and always love it. It never disappoints and though I usually get chcken (I know - horrors at a steak place!), I always love it. The chopped salad is delicious, as are the cocktails, sandwiches, burgers, and steaks. I also love the berries crisp dessert (that isn't always listed...you must ask!). Service is usually very good. They are always busy, yet somehow manage to not seem overly stressed when visiting your table. I will say that I don't often visit without a reservation as I hate waiting, but the bar area is nice if you have to wait somewhere. It's not the best restaurant in the city or burbs, but it is comfort for me since I love it and have been going here for about 14 years. Definitely worth a trip for lunch or dinner (I highly reccomend the grilled chicken club...).

I love the food. But the ambiance, depending on where you are sitting, needs some help. First, the good part. Any time I am hankering for a good filet, we go here. Granted, this place is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant franchise. But they do a great product! Steaks are what they do (although they offer other things as well) and I recommend ordering nothing else! My personal favorite is the blue cheese filet. Oh goodness! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!! The bread they serve before dinner is fresh out of the oven but I don't particularly care for it. (Is it a light pumpernickel?) My hubby will eat it right up though. When ordering, there are tons of choices. But skip right to the filets. They have quality meat and it's always been cooked to my request and liking. The sides are pretty good. If you like mushrooms, get the side! The broccoli, however.... Well, they literally steam an entire crown of broccoli and plop it on a plate. No presentation what so ever. Very strange! Once dinner is over, they whack you with the dessert tray which makes it very hard to resist. Yes, they literally whack you upside the head. Its a marketing tactic ;) But resistance is futile so don't even bother! I wouldn't say they are the most amazing sweets I've ever had but they sure do offer some delicious desserts that would make most people happy. Ok. Here's why this place gets three stars rather than four. The main dining area is wonderful. Nicely lit, vibrant and active. It has a great vibe. But then there are two additional rings of rooms surrounding the main area that are closed off to the main dining area. The outer ring is actually for private parties that they open up when not being used. I HATE being stuck back there. And it's happened the last two times we've gone. It feels dark and removed and ...wait for it ... Depressing. Really, if it wasn't for the food I would have left. Hey management!!! It's time to update those other rooms. No one wants to feel like they're eating dinner in their old boyfriend's basement decorated with a bar. (Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.) Even though I've been in the mood for steak, I have avoided your place because of this. Maybe other people don't mind. But enough people will start tiring of your out of date decor in these other rooms. Tip: If you don't make a reservation, be prepare to wait... And wait... And wait. This place is always crowded! You may be able to snag a table in the bar if you're lucky. Otherwise the bar area gets cramped with that many people waiting to get seated.

This used to be a family favorite. Something has changed. In the Bears room tonight. Couldn't get service. Carlos did not seen to be in tune to his guest. Drinks were slow. We cleared our own table to the railing. Sad to see. One plate was subpar.

My colleague and I came here based on the yelp reviews. They were right in the money. We ordered the calamari for appetizer. Both the calamari and the sauces were excellent. We then ordered the the New York strip and the mignon. Both steaks were just cooked to perfection with condiments that were just the right complement. The baked potatoes were huge! But well cooked. The service the ambience and the food made for a great experience. I'm definitely coming back

I have been going here for eve dinner/drinks with coworkers for quite some time , and it is consistently great!! The food here is top notch quality with slightly higher pricing than average. Once you have an entree here, you will realize why the prices are a little high, but worth it. The menu consists of many steaks, chops, fish, and lobster dishes. Sides are ala carte, but large enough for a few people to share. The service here is Excellent!!! Waiters are usually in charge of only a few tables at a time, and can devote more time to your table's needs, and are on top of things!! Very friendly staff. If you are looking for a traditional steak place with an old fashioned dining room and wait staff, look no further.

I've dined here multiple times for various company functions. The food here is very delicious though pricey. I typically order the steak medallions. The meat is so tender. Definitely has a nice atmosphere and service is good. Wait times are a bit long but I guess is expected. This applies to all their locations.

Went here for valentines day. This was my second time here. I love their bread. I got the filet mignon and it was delicious. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. Definitely a good place to go to for a special occasion !

Service is very slow. On a Sat night, not busy at all, severs are just standing around, or walking around with nothing to do while we are sitting without bread on the table, ready to order, 30 min after we were seated. Not coming back here!

When we first sat down in the bar area, I was pretty impressed. It has an awesome 40's era feel to it. The food and service were first rate. I had the filet mignon wrapped in a pastry puff. Holy shit that thing was amazing!

Went there for breakfast and not as great as I had expected it to be. We had the chilaquiles (chips were way too soggy) and it wasn't spicy. The eggs benedict trio (crab cake, short ribs) were just okay...nothing special at all. We also ordered the mimosa sampler...there were 4 and none of them were great. Don't bother for breakfast....it's definitely nothing special!

As always place is packed regardless of night you visit. Tuesday night little damp and cold outside ordered bisque and Tuscan kale and spinach salad to go. Absolutely yummy, soup was hot and salad was tasty. Service always good, but definitely higher priced so stay away if you are on a budget.

I have been to wildfire many times and the food had always been good.; however, I wouldn't compare it to the major steak houses (ie Morton's, Gibson's, Eddie Merlot, Mastro's or Chicago Cut). For the first time there, I did not have fish or steak. Instead I had a burger the other night and was not impressed at all. Completely tasteless and greasy. I will go back but skip the burger!!!

Went here for lunch to meet a customer. Decent crowd for lunch hour but no problem getting seated. Service was right on as we were greeted right away and order our beverages. I went for the Chicken Club Salad, it was very good. Huge serving with crispy chicken, bacon, swiss, tomato, avocado and scallions. I do recommend if you are not a fan of scallions ask for none. They put a lot on, benefit for me as when i got back to the office no one came near me. Very good and large. Others had the halibut special and they ate like they never seen food before. No complaints just sparks from the forks hitting the plate. It looked and smelled good. Nice place good service and food.

Lovely ambiance, great service, beware the desserts rotate each season, so don't get too attached to anything, okay? Vegetarian options need improving. Basically salad and bread and dessert. (You might wonder why a vegetarian would go to a steakhouse... it's a popular place for professional meetings, that's why. If you've lived on the West Coast (like Seattle and California), all steakhouses and seafood places have terrific vegetarian menus). I'd recommend this place, but vegetarians and vegans beware, you WILL go home hungry.

I was very pleased with my meal at Wildfire, everything tasted fresh and was prepared well. I had the wood-roasted seafood trio (salmon, scallops, and crab cake) with the mushroom side and had the calamari appetizer. Although I didn't partake, everything on the dessert tray looked great too (my colleague did, he enjoyed his sundae) . I also had a Tommy's Up Margarita which was not the best martini (nor margarita) that I'd ever had, I regret not trying some craft beer instead.

Bella Nails 2403 N. Algonquin Road Algonquin, IL If you want rude, indifferent and obnoxious attitudes, visit this nail shop. The arrogant older woman and young new employee spoke in a foreign language while I asked to have a nail that was previously manicured repaired better. The young girl argued with me that it was the other side of the nail that she repaired and I know it was not. The "supposed" repair did not work. The two spoke together in angry tones and looked at me with discust and said I would have to pay to have the nail repaired. I said no problem I would be happy to do that. She said "get a color" I did and I asked nicely if she thought that was the correct color and nastily said How do I know? I had had it by then and said they were the worst shop and were rude and MEAN! If you want BAD treatment, get your nails done here! I have been coming to this shop for 15+ years and they are currently NEVER busy and only one or two techs on hand. Terrible customer relations!!!!

Stopped in for a business lunch. The sweet cornbread is AMAZING! Salads are huge. I had the coconut shrimp and the shrimp was huge and flavorful. The fries werent anything to brag about. But the shrimp and cornbreads are winners!

This place has one of the best happy hours in Lincolnshire! The only problem is that all orders have to be in by 5:30pm. We started with a few martinis, all of them are quite delicious but not very strong. The first appetizer we got was the Shrimp Cocktail. The presentation is really nice, they are served in a bath of ice with horseradish, cocktail sauce, and lemon. These tasted fresh and for the price, you really can't expect anything better. Then we had the Chicken Portabello Skewers, which were our faves. The chicken is tender, the mushroom is cooked to perfection. It comes with two skewers, so it's the perfect size for sharing. Finally, we had the crabcakes, which I thought were average. I am used to Hugo's crabcakes, which is 97% crab, but these were 40% crab, and 60% filler, such as corn, carrots, and peas. They were a little dense, so next time I come back I will make sure to order something else! But all in all, I would definitely come back here for happy hour with my coworkers and friends in the nearby area.

This is primarily a steak place but the seafood is really nice. The scallops had a very nicely wilted chard and were very tender. The dining area was super packed and the bar area was too

Average. I am speaking to the service and the food. I think the prices are a little high for what they are serving. I am not saying it is bad, I just think if you are going out for a nice dinner, there are much better options in the area, such as Flemings and Pete Millers.

I can't believe I forgot to write a review. We had dinner here on Christmas Day and it was such a nice experience that we may just make it a tradition. Here's the deal: Although I am half-Jewish, my family celebrates Christmas (long story) but every year we alternate getting together between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This past year, we had our holiday on Christmas Eve, so that meant on Christmas Day, my bf and I had nothing planned and nowhere to go (his family lives out of state and we'd be seeing them the following weekend, if you must know). Now, being half-Jewish, my first inclination is to go to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas Day. It's practically written in the Torah that we Jews eat Chinese at some point during the Christmas holiday. My bf, however, wasn't too down with that. He is not Jewish and he wanted to go somewhere more "special" than a Chinese restaurant on the Big Guy's birthday. Obviously not much is open on Christmas and we weren't looking to go to a hotel and drop $200 on dinner that would likely be mediocre anyway. Wildfire fit the bill perfectly. Only problem was we'd have to drive to Lincolnshire as none of the other Wildfires were open. It made sense; Lincolnshire has a large Jewish population so it stands to reason that they'd be open, and boy we were grateful. We arrived and I was aghast at how crowded it was. We ended up having to sit at a table in in the bar area, and often we prefer that anyway. Even the bar area was packed. We were waited on by one of the bartenders and from start to finish, she made the evening great. We started with a couple martinis. I think my bf had a classic one and I had a cucumber one which was so good, I had a hard time not slurping it down in a few gulps. We both ordered prime rib (if memory serves, they had some kind of holiday prix-fixe special) and we both really enjoyed it. More drinks were ordered, as was dessert. We had key lime pie and a some kind of fruit cobbler, both of which were a great finish. The bartender was really personable with all the tables and she didn't seem bitter at all about working on a holiday. When it came time to close out our check, I inadvertently handed her my Mariano's card instead of my LEYE Frequent Diner card and she came back and jokingly asked what was she supposed to do with my Mariano's card? In my defense, they're both almost the same color, but I blame my mistake on her for making the cucumber martinis so drinkable. Wildfire is generally a crowd pleaser, and it sure came through for us. It definitely saved our holiday, and we'll no doubt return in the future.

How is it that I have never written a review for Wildfire? Yes, this is part of the Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and no, they are not the evil empire. What I've come to appreciate from both Wildfire and LEYE for that matter is their relentless commitment to customer service. We have dined at Wildfire more than I can count and we've been so happy with them that we've chosen them for private parties; it is truly our go-to spot for brunch, lunch, dinner, date-nights, birthday celebrations, etc. From the servers to the managers and the private party folks, everybody in this particular location makes it their mission to serve their customers well. Although I don't like to limit myself by saying we have a "favorite" restaurant, Wildfire has been with us through many occasions that it's hard not to consider it as an essential piece of fond family memories.

Never a let down at Wildfire. The food is always excellent, and the service never leaves you wanting. I almost always have their chopped salad and their steak sandwich. They also have excellent pairing events. I love the beer pairing dinners. Tonight I will be going to a Great Lakes Brewery pairing dinner.

We have always been fans of Wildfire, but last night was little disappointing.. Service was a pretty good despite be really busy but the 4 NY Strips that our table ordered were less than spectacular.. It was one of things were I didn't want to say anything to rest of the group but near the end of dinner someone else just came out it with it.. (a sigh of relief that it was just not me..) Honestly they were the toughest steaks we have ever tried to eat. I have had sirloins at Golden Coral that were more tender.. The favor was good, the sauce and rub for the coffee encrusted NY was awesome just that my jaw was sore at the end of dinner trying to chew it.. Just did not seem like restaurant quality prime / choice beef. Chances are we will be back again, hoping last night was an one-off..

Updated Review My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner. We started off with a ceasar salad. My wife ordered the filet trio and I ordered the New York strip with a glass of red wine. Our server was great and the food was excellent. Keep it up

Dining at Wildfire is very much like dining at a well seasoned Steak House. It is owned by the Lettuce Entertain You Group. The quality and consistency of the food remains the same, which is refreshing when you are paying $$$. So many restaurants lose their energy and are soon closing their doors but, not Wildfire. Many family are filet mignon and steak addicts and we stuck to these entrees. A bonus to Wildfire is they include a side, many other steak houses do not. I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Bisque and savored every last spoonful. Lots of shrimp and crab in the Bisque! I was intrigued by the Trio of Filet Mignon which you can choose your own crusts. What a great way to enjoy trying these different toppings. As always, the desserts look amazing but, we never seem to have room.

I confess. I am just a big LEYE fan, and have been since I first set foot in R.J. Grunts about 25 years ago. And on my first visit to Wildfire, I am impressed by the same things I've always been: a beautiful room, professional staff and great prices. Having frequented a number of places out here in Lincolnshire, I would have expected much higher prices for such a big classy place. But that was not the case. Our bill here for a lunch with a shared appetizer, dinner type entrees and a dessert was less than Buca di Beppo. Of course, this is rather an apples vs. oranges comparison. But it does demonstrate that one can get more for their dining dollar at at Lettuce Entertain You. I had lunch here with a "special needs" client and we were waited on by a very polished professional named Kathy. Attentive, detail-minded, always anticipating needs, patient with those special ones, she really enhanced the dining experience. And it was just refreshing to have a seasoned, and poised, over-the-age-of 30 server. The menu is primarily steaks, chops and seafood, and there were more seafood choices than anything on both the regular and the special lunch menus. We both ended up with fish, plank salmon with a honey/sesame sauce, and a macadamia-encrusted halibut, after an appetizer of goat cheese in marinara with focaccio. The fish was not as moist or as perfectly done as Pappadeaux, but it was good. There are many good dinner salad choices and we were advised that the chopped salad is a big favorite. Some interesting sandwiches, burgers and even pizzas round out the menu. Can't have a wood fire oven without pizza. I definitely want to return to try the steaks. I'd walk a few miles for horseradish-encrusted anything! I really love the architecture, decor and feng shui. The central great room is classy and boisterous with clients, and sunken like the old Pump Room. Yet it has a Sonoran desert or Arizona feel with the high ceilings and the huge rustic brick wall which frames one entire side of the dining room. A good place for a first date, a business lunch, or a family outing (maybe when you are leaving the munchkins at home.)

We went on a Tuesday during Restaurant Week (we didn't know it was Restaurant Week so figured Tuesday night would be a short wait, we were wrong). Due to the crowd the wait was around 35 minutes, but well worth the wait. The service and food are amazing. I had the broiled prime sirloin steak with a balsamic reduction and shallot sauce that was simply wonderful. While my friends took some of their food home I ate it all. The redskin mashed potatos were plentiful and I also managed to finish those. Wait staff was very attentive, offered us more bread during our wait for our food and explained all the specials quite well . Delightful dining experience.

Great Service! A little chilly in the side room, far right side from facing the hostess stand! It was requested for my Mother Inlaw's bday, she had never been. 3 of has had the medallion trio and 1 had the wellington, all were outstanding!

I've dined at this location quite a few times before and it's your typical Wildfire experience. This review alone will be based on my recent end of year work luncheon. This was the 2nd year we've held this luncheon at this location. 25 people year 1 and 27 for the most recent party. The special event planners (Allie & Stephanie) are both very good at what they do. The process is simple but for anyone that plans a work event, you know that it can be high stress as you hope that it all goes smoothly. With Allie and Steph, you have nothing to worry about. Both years we opted for the Club Supper Menu. 2 starters, 2 salads, 2 main courses, 2 sides, and 2 desserts. Not much changed from last year to this year except 1 veggie and 1 dessert. For starters I selected Fried Calamari ($2 extra per person for this selection) and the Oven Baked Goat Cheese. Both are delicious and crowd favorites. Also allowed for the vegetarians to have an option so they were well received. For salads, you can not skip the Wildfire Chopped Salad (contains chicken). It's heaven! We also opted for the Standard House Salad (Meatless). Both are very good and fresh. For our sides we decided on the Cheddar Double Stuffed Potato and the Roasted Veggies. The Potato's are always good and the Roasted veggies were excellent. I'm a brussel sprout fan and to see that in the mix with the other veggies, I was a happy girl! For main courses we choose the Spit Roasted Herb Chicken which is always a safe bet but I think I'll change it up next year and the Roumanian Skirt Steak which is TO DIE FOR. Everyone always sings its praises as it is THAT GOOD!!!!! Dessert we choose the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake and the Baked Apple Skillet Pie. Personally I'm not a chocolate fan so the apple was my fav and I think the fav of the majority. Who doesn't love warm apple pie and ice cream? Yum! As far as the accommodations, this locations like all Wildfire's has multiple party room options. Space is perfect for our group and crowding wasn't an issue. The room is always set up well to include clean dishes and glasses which is a big deal to me. THE SERVICE: Can I just say that I'm sure last year the service was great, but this year it was EXCELLENT! The waitstaff was very attentive and there was never a need to ask for anything. Food and drinks were always refilled before anyone had to ask. Dishes were cleared quickly and that's hard to do with a room full of chatty people not paying attention to a hand trying to grab a plate in front of them. The staff was extremely friendly and I have nothing bad to say about the service at all. Great job and see you all again next year!

For the type of restaurant Wildfire is, I like it. I've been to several locations and it's always been consistent. Also, I don't know which genius decided to serve this new "cornbread" with their bread service, but bravo Wildfire, it's delicious. It's more like a corn pudding than a cornbread -- it has more of a custardy, bread pudding texture with bits of corn in it, but i LOVE IT. I prefer dinner over their lunch selection.

I've dined at other Wildfire locations for dinner before but attended a bridal shower one Sunday afternoon and the food was top-notch. They did it family style which was great! Flank steak, salmon (it was delish - and I am picky about salmon), salad, vegetables, etc. The room was nice, too. They did a great job and even gave us a cookie on our way out.

If you walk in with low expectations, you probably won't leave disappointed. I've been here for lunch numerous times (my old company was located near by and this was everyone's favorite place to celebrate....not sure why.) I have also come out for dinner twice. The only reason we came for dinner twice was because I was hoping that our first experience was a fluke. SPOILER ALERT!! It wasn't. Count on the place being loud. Don't worry about dressing up if you come here. I saw some dude with faded jeans and an AFFLICTION t-shirt on. Classy. Our first trip was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The service was unforgivably bad. First it took forever to get a menu and a drink ordered. Then our food came out all at once. The 'surprise' birthday cake I ordered for my wife was revealed when our serve assured us that it was coming while we placed our dinner order. Thanks for revealing the secret to my wife at the onset of our meal. And after our first drink we did not get a chance to get a refill until the end of our meal. This was compounded since our entrees came out about 2 minutes behind our salads. The food is about what you'd expect for an Applebee's or a TGI Friday. For these prices, I expect more. Our salads were more like a soup of dressing (after we asked for dressing on the side) and our steaks were bland and over cooked. The desserts taste like they forgot to include sugar in their cakes. I would have sent to food back except that our serve was nowhere to be seen. My experiences with lunch have been the same. Bad service and OK food. At least lunch was paid for my company. My recommendation if you'd like a good steak; try a Morton's, Ruth's Chris, or Gibsons. Stay away from here.

Not what it used to be. Either my taste buds have improved or the quality of food and service has gone way down...I think the latter. Pizza wasn't think, crispy crust as I remember it, side dishes were loaded with butter and service was what I'd expect from a Chiles or Apple B's. Young, very inexperience, not well trained waitress. I'll skip this place next time unless someone convinces me they are improving their quality of food and customer service.

To be honest, the heavy dose of 4 and 5 star ratings surprises me. Based on the quality of the food and price - Wildfire constantly disappoints me. The go-to entree here is the Chopped Salad. Woo...chopped lettuce, chicken, other stuff and some dressing -- inventive. Oh look, onion loaves and soggy cornbread - I'm amazed! Perhaps I expect more for the $10-25 per person (before drinks) you end up paying. I continually leave feeling greasy and unsatisfied. Today was a fancified turkey sandwich that was fairly tasty but 3 ft high. The height of a sandwich doesn't represent its quality or value. "My sandwich is 8 feet high...it deserves to cost $12." No. I should be able to put my mouth around a sandwich without getting lockjaw - but that's just me. Even for dinner - for the portions and quality of food - I don't find it to be worth the money or the incredibly long waits. Will I go here again? I know I will because work people love to go here. --Sigh-- On the plus side - service is always good. Sometimes creepy but more of than not - really good. Long and short - there are plenty of other restaurants to try and go to so you don't have to make this your staple.

I had a work assignment to travel to the North Chicago area from California and spent the entire day on a plane without much of a meal. By the time I checked into my hotel in Lincolnshire, I was starving and craving only one thing: steak. I knew there was a Fleming's in the area, but based on the reviews I wasn't too impressed. Also, I had just come off the plane and dressed way too casual. I saw reviews for Wildfire and saw that the atmosphere was indicated casual and made a reservation for 9pm. I arrived at the restaurant around 8:35pm and was pleased that the hostess was kind enough to seat me ahead of my reservation since I was solo. It had taken awhile for the waitress to come and take my order, but the restaurant seemed pretty busy for a late Monday night. Finally, the waitress arrived and took my order, and I expressed my interest in the rib eye, but she said they did not have it. She recommended the Tenderloin Tips so I took her word for it and ordered that with some mashed potatoes and a house salad. After, she had gone away, the hostess came back to check on me and asked if I had been served yet. She was genuinely concerned that I'd been waiting too long, so I have to add points for the attentiveness. Afterwards, the order of my meal came through with perfect timing. The entire meal was delicious, and my steak was cooked with perfection. The waitress' recommendation of the tenderloin was just as she described and though it was no rib-eye, it was one of the best prepared steaks I've had. I'll definitely recommend Wildfire to anyone visiting the Chicago area.

Went here with my cousin's and the hubby. I highly recommend reservations. I really loved it here. The food was awesome. THe company was awesome. The wait staff was attentive. I had the shrimp cocktail, stuffed hamburger and some apple pie thing for dessert(shared). Everything was yummy. Then again everything would have been delicious to me after having the Martini Flight that they offer with 4 samplings of different martinis...All foour were yummy I definitely suggest trying them. I will be going back as soon I hit the ground in IL..

This review is based on never having eaten here, why is that you ask, well they "lost" our reservation. My brother got there first, put his name down on the list, and proceeded to wait for the rest of us. Well we got there 15 minutes later and he said there was still a 15 minute wait. So we go to the bar and wait about 30 minutes. I go up to the podium and ask the girls when will our table be ready and get a blank look from the 2 girls standing there until they finally look and say sorry no-one by that name. I call my brother over, we go over the same thing again, and get the same dumb look. They then said we could put our name down now but it would be an hour wait. I said we had already waited that long and if we did not get a table immediately that I wold send a company wide e-mail at the large corporation I worked for and tell everyone never to come to Wildfire. They gave me their same stupid look so we left and I wrote that e-mail. My brother met someone who worked at a Wildfire and they admitted that it happens alot. I have made it a point to avoid all Lettuce Entertain You establishments as I will only give my money to someone who cares. I refuse to waste my time and money on stupid people.

Yes, Wildfire is a chain, but I have never had a bad experience here. My 2 best friends from high school and I come here on a 3-4 times a year basis, mostly for our birthdays and other celebrations. I'm not sure how or why, but Wildfire has become our place, which may be why I'm giving it 4 instead of 3 stars. We always have martinis, which are always perfect and strong. Evidence of this is one of my friends karate chopping her martini glass while animatedly talking with her hands. We promptly booked it out of there (luckily we had already paid). Anyway, the twice baked potatoes are my hands down favorite. I love them. The food is consistently good, the service is great, and the company is even better. :-) It's probably a good idea to make a reservation. Oh, and my eyebrow waxer loves the duck.

The decor of Wildfire is nice and its a cozy restaurant, when your not fighting for the other half of your table due to the standing room only bar patrons leaning on it.... We have been here a couple times and we were not too impressed each time. So many people rave about Wildfire, but we found it to be very blah. Our meat was very boring and unseasoned, steak was fairly average quality. Its just not a very memorable place

I love this place. The steak is top notch, the service is fantastic, and it is actually much cheaper than it's competitors. You must get the twice baked potato, and I recommend the filet medallions with the different toppings.

Nothing wrong with this place. Warm, yet busy ambiance. The salads are very well done. The steaks are terrific. Very good cuts of meat with excellent flavor. The creamed spinach is perfect. The deserts are heavenly. It's a little spendy yet well worth the visit.

WIldfire is awesome. Everything is really good. Their chopped salad is outta this world, and their steaks are good too. I love their french onion soup. Its one of the only french onions ill eat.

  • Thomas C.

This place is a great place to go for consistently good food. Things to try. Their french onion soup is great. chopped salad is great. steaks are great. Prime rib is wonderful here. I think I had a burger once, and thought it was good too. Price are a little above average, but for a nice steak dinner, the north burbs don't leave you with many choices. For a good dinner out, without having to travel to the city. This is it. Parking can be a PITA though... as the rest of the north loves to come here on Friday and Saturday evenings. Be sure to make reservations well in advance if coming on either of those nights. Also be prepared to smell like wood after leaving this place. Great lunch or dinner spot.

This was my first visit to a Wildfire, although I've been to many other Lettuce Entertain you restaurants. The food was good (except for the sad looking dried out cornbread squares they placed on our table), but the service was terrible. And I don't just say that lightly. I've been working in the service industry for years and years and I've worked as a waitress and a host in everything from high volume low brow to extremely upscale places. The service we experienced was on par with Denny's. No one smiled or greeted us with any other emotion than exhaustion and disinterest. Our waiter never told us his name, it wasn't until the end of the meal I knew his name was Jerry from the check. After getting our drinks he left for maybe 15 minutes without taking a food order. He never checked back on our appetizers, and didn't smile or engage us in any way at all. He did check back in a timely manner once our entrees arrived, so I'll give him that. The bussers, the waitstaff, the host staff all could not have cared less to smile and be polite. I couldn't believe it. I'd say the restaurant was busy, it was mid afternoon on a Sunday, but there wasn't a wait so the lack of attention can only be chalked up to bad service plain and simple. I would tell anyone I know to avoid this particular Wildfire. Like I said, the food was good, but not worth enduring the less than adequate service.

I've been here many times, most recently on a weekend evening. This place is almost always crowded and reservations are essential unless you really like to wait (for a long time) in the usually crowded (probably too small) bar area. Valet parking is available. There is a private parking lot, but, often the lot is really full and you'll need to walk (unless you get lucky) a distance from your parked car to the restaurant. The restaurant, like its Glenview and City siblings, strives for a supper-club like feel. The place is enormous with one very large central dining room (looking onto an open kitchen) with a few more intimate dining rooms. There is a smallish 2-page wine list with by-the-glass choices falling mostly in the $8-$12 per glass range. The menu is reasonably broad and includes sandwiches, steaks and other items. Food servings are land-of-the-giants sized and can be shared. The skirt-steak is recommended as are almost any dessert (the desserts are good, large-sized and once viewed will make you forsake any diet you might have thought you were on or wanted to be on). The chopped salad is also good (can be shared by 2-3 people). Entrees fall in the $18-$30 range, but, as noted above, portions are large. The food quality is very good and you will likely want to return. Service is efficient and the kitchen can really pump out the food when it gets busy.

A good place if you are in the area, not worth a special trip, I would not go out of my way to return. Entrees of prime rib and thick tuna teriyaki were solid; the included mashed potatoes and broccoli, only adequate. A dessert of three small cake portions was good, the coffee cup with a bottom and the obviously dirty tea mug were not. It was difficult to find service team member when you needed one, so I flagged down a host/supervisor to deal with our dishwashing issue and just gave up on a coffee refill. We dined early and midweek so crowding was not an issue. They could certainly do a better job for my money.

The food is always good, love the Wildfire franchise. This rating is specifically about this location because twice now the service has been lousy. Way too long wait for food, no refills on water or drinks or bread while you wait. Watier spent the very least amount of time humanly possible at our table and still consider it "waited upon". I'll be going to Schaumburg in the future.

Do not go here! Besides the hour and a half wait for two people. They refused to sell us an alcoholic beverage because we have a out of state I.D's. We are both over 30 years old. We got up and left right away. Good way to ruin a good night. This restaurant doesn't like anyone who travels!!

This was my favorite restaurant when I was in IL for work on temporary assignment. The Macadamian-Crusted Halibut is amazing!!!! I also love the old speakeasy decor and 1920s atmosphere. My only complaint is that there are so few locations :(

I Come here a lot, and always am impressed with the overall quality of Wildfire. Most recently I tried the Sea Scallops with the butter sauce on the side, which ended up being a great idea considering how heavy and thick the it was. I was with 3 other people, and we all ordered seafood. The others had Cedar Salmon, Swordfish, and the special of Macadamia Halibut. Wildfire has the best sweet potato in the world and it was cooked better than I have ever had, and I usually eat sweet potatoes three times a week. I was stuffed after eating my entire entree and the remaining part of one of my friends sweet potatoes, but somehow we ordered two desserts. The special of the night was Cherry Pie served a la mode, and we also ordered this Apple Tart that also came a la mode. Both desserts were wonderful, and I found myself eating more when I wasn't even hungry! The night was perfect there, except for my decision to touch the desserts, so be careful when they bring that gigantic tray over, and ask yourself if it's truly worth it. The service was phenomenal and our server knew the menu like the back of his hand. Here are my favorites from the menu: Appetizers: Spinach and Artichoke Fondue Roasted Sea Scallop Skewers Entrees: Fillet Medallions with three different toppings Cedar Planked Salmon East Coast Sea Scallops Lemon Pepper Chicken Sides: BBQ Rubbed Sweet Potato Desserts: Seasonal Berries Crisp Homemade Key Lime Pie Coconut Banana Cream Pie Apple Streussel Pie *Any Special Dessert of the Month*

I have eaten at Wildfire many many times, and all of my experiences have been good, except for last night, which was also a celebratory dinner, and it was ruined. After placing our order, we received the salad quickly. However, it took another 45 minutes for our entrees to come out after the salad was served. Then, someone at our table found a hair in her side. Gross! The manager came up with a variety of excuses for the tardiness and the hair, but needless to say, we will not be dining here again. The manager was, however, very apologetic for everything, even if it did ruin the dinner.

Over the years, my fiancé and I have accumulated several Lettuce Entertain You (LEY) giftcards during the holidays from work and family. Wildfire is one of the LEY restaurants located in Lake County, and we've visited a few times to use our giftcards. Prior to these trips, Wildfire was always regarded as one of the better quality restaurants I'd dine at with my family or fiancé to celebrate a special occasion (birthday, graduation, anniversary, etc.). I still remember the first time I visited, which was back in high school. Wildfire was definitely the classiest (and most expensive) restaurant I'd ever been too. I felt so underdressed in my jeans and tee-shirt. Full disclosure: we were originally going to go to Big Bowl, which is next door, but they had a long wait so we went to Wildfire instead. I've also visited Wildfire a few times in the past to have lunch with a girlfriend. We both enjoyed our lunch dates very much. So, needless to say, I'm quite familiar with the restaurant. Their food's pretty darn good, and the menu boosts plenty of options for the meat eaters and non-meat eaters. I'd definitely rank them as one of the better steakhouses in Lake County. My personal favorites are the classic mushroom pizza ($10.95 at lunch and served with a side salad and $9.95 at dinner served without a side salad) and the cedar-planked salmon ($15.95 at lunch and $25.95 at dinner). My fiancé has ordered the barbecued baby back ribs ($26.95 for the full slab and $16.95 for the half slab) and has enjoyed it on both occasions. Definitely try their chopped salad! It's delicious! I'm also a big fan of their desserts - the homemade key lime pie and the seasonal berries crisp (oatmeal cookie crumble, berry sauce and vanilla ice cream). Their desserts come in half portions, in case you're too full, but still want a sweet bite at the end of your meal. Lately, we've been placing carry out orders as opposed to dining in, since I prefer to dine at the comfort of my own home and not deal with the hassle of eating at a restaurant. Picking up our order is so quick and easy! There's a separate entrance at the side of the restaurant. The employees are also great at going through your order with you before you leave, so you make sure you got exactly what you ordered. They also offer complimentary bread with it as well as a separate bag for any dessert you order so it doesn't melt sitting on top of your hot food. And, last time, we only spent $8 something since we used a $50 giftcard. With regard to dining in, I've never had a problem with service. The waiters seem friendly and knowledgeable. I also love how they serve bread on a little cutting board at the start of your meal. And of course, they bring out a big tray with all the tasty desserts after your meal to tempt you into ordering one. My fiancé and I will be back to use up the rest of our LEY giftcards. We'll definitely stick to picking up carry out orders as opposed to dining in. Overall, Wildfire's a great restaurant, and one of the best in the 'burbs. The food may be a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and amount you get (I've always had to take home leftovers). Next time you're looking for a fancier dinner in the 'burbs, give Wildfire a try.

So I've heard amazing things about this place from multiple people; friends, teachers, my mother. Finally got an opportunity to try it when my dad's friends visited from out of town. Needless to say, steak is quite popular here, as it's a steakhouse. I ordered the bacon-wrapped Filet Mignon, while my dad and his friends all opted for the regular Filet mignon. My mom, with her dislike of beef, understandably ordered seafood. My filet mignon was actually disappointing. It wasn't medium rare as I had ordered but medium. However, I assume that my steak was just an outlier, rather than the standard, as my dad, and his friends, all had their steak cooked perfectly medium rare. My mom's seafood also turned out quite well, so feel safe knowing that you can order great dishes that aren't beef. The price is also a bonus, as it is much cheaper to get a steak here than it would be at a steakhouse in Chicago. Don't know how far apart the quality would be, but probably not by much if any!

We had a business dinner here for 20 people, and the waitstaff were awesome about taking care of our large group. Big thumbs up for service. There were a few small snafus, but with a group this size, that's to be expected, and everything was quickly fixed as soon as the waitstaff were made aware. The food was pretty good. I had the scallops (even though this is known as a steakhouse, because I was trying to be healthy) and the mashed potatoes (not that healthy) for my main and was pleased. The scallops were perfectly cooked, which you don't always see away from the coasts. Colleagues who had steaks seemed pleased and everyone also seemed happy with how their meat was cooked. We also shared a blueberry crumble dessert that was quite delicious and big enough that, no kidding, six of us shared it. I'd recommend Wildfire for a business dinner for sure.

Yes, we are a fan. One of our "go to" places in the burbs. A star of the Lettuce Entertainment restaurants. The seafood is very good, as are the steaks. It might have the best chopped salad around. It is expensive, but a whole lot less than the other traditional steak houses. Do not go without a reservation unless you are OK with a wait, It is busy every night. We usually find a table in the bar to eat, it is a much clubbier feel.

Great atmosphere, delicious craft beer brewed in-house, and one of the best cuts of prime rib I have ever had. I ordered the queen cut, and it was more than enough. Compared to other steakhouses in the Chicago area, I thought the prices were very reasonable. I will absolutely be back on my next trip through town.

Came here for the very first time with a friend. Very amazing dining experience, may have found my new favorite restaurant. Service is remarkably fast. Our appetizer came literally two minutes after we ordered. And our entrees came not too long after. If you have trouble deciding between the steaks they have a special that comes with three small portions of filet mignon with crusts of your choosing as well as a side. Everything was cooked perfectly. Very delicious meal. Just make sure you make a reservation. If you come for dinner on a Saturday you will be waiting 2 hours, no joke. Just be wary of the prices. I paid what I would normally consider dinner for two.

This is your grandfather's steak house: classic and safe menu. Even though it's a chain restaurant, the food has some finesse and care. I recommend the corn bread and chop salad for sure. Steaks are solid. The tenderloin steak sandwich for lunch is good too.

There is never (really NEVER) a night that this place isn't busy. And we've been here a gazillion times but I have yet to Yelp! Bustling steakhouse ambiance. Fabulous service. On the pricey side but excellent quality. Among my favorites - the macadamia crusted halibut. I almost always get this. But last night my appetite was on the lighter side and I decided to try (for the first time) the wood roasted mussels. Came with some melted garlic butter and I'm glad I got them. Delicious. Good size. Just perfect. Other times I've had shrimp cocktail, french onion soup, chopped salad, shrimp scampi, prime rib, burgers. Garlic mashed potatoes always perfect. Grilled asparagus always perfect. Of course it's Lettuce Entertain You and it's consistent and dependable. Great wait staff too.

Had my parents ruby wedding anniversary party here. There were 65 of us total but the whole staff was able to take care of us wonderfully. I had such a good time here. Flash forward 6 weeks and my foreign relatives from Italy are visiting U.S. And we took them back and had yet another wonderful time. My dad and cousin loved the petite steaks while I enjoyed cedar planked salmon. Wonderful!!!!!!

How can you not love this place? If you go, you MUST get the chopped salad. It's pretty much the only thing I will get here now. It's huge and great for 2 meals. It is pricey but that's a steakhouse for you. They do have "happy hour" specials so you can go there right after work to grab a quick bite. The service is always great and they are quick so you can go here on your lunch break (if your lunch break is an hour).

Reservations must be a week in advance to get lucky with the time you want. That's a plus for the restaurant but not many last minute choosers. We sit in the bar which is first come first serve (if we are lucky). One suggestion is that they finally get a first come first serve WAITING LIST . That will slow down all the Vultures that hover around your tables when they see you are getting your check. It is a very uncomfortable feeling knowing people are about to race to you as soon as you get up! The food is great and the service is as well, but if you are looking to relax and spend time not feeling rushed sit in the restaurant and not the bar.

Wildfire takes me back to the 50's with the awesome atmosphere. Have been there for lunch and dinner and the experience is always great. Service is always on point and very friendly. The bar area is fun because the bartender is very funny and entertaining. The trio medallions are my personal favorite for dinner alomg with a stormy night martini :) The french onion soup is also delicious and one of my favorites from all the restaurants that I've tried it at. Their salads are awesome and the portions are pretty generous. Ask for their specials and try some of their limited time options! During lunch time the corn bread is superb... dont be shy to ask for more!

I have been dining with wildfire for many years now, it has been a staple in my families celebrations. This was our first time at this particular location. We have dinned at oakbrook, glenview and Schaumburg locations before so we had similar expectations for this one. Unfortunately it was bellow average. They have to "check with the manager" if you are making reservations for 9 or more, FYI. We dined in the "bears room" which is a cozy, quite and perfect spot for the group of 9 that we had. The food was great, we did the club lunch special and it didn't disappoint. The service though... Ugh. First there are 9 of us and they bring out 8 chicken skewers! Then it took 45 minutes before we even got our drinks! No dude we don't want another round because it will take 45 minutes... We also felt rushed. I'm sorry but we came at noon... Got our drinks at 1245 and didn't even order until 1... And by 3 you want our large party to leave? The server seemed new, he seemed unsure of himself, he didn't check up on us enough to see if our glasses were emptied. My sister had to track him down to get another order of salmon. And in the end they didn't wrap up all our left overs! I think next time we will be heading back to glenview even though it's a longer drive. They are much more friendlier and accommodating there.

I ate here and at the nearby Fleming's. Short version: Go to Flemings. Had to wait a bit for my table, which I'm OK with. Just led to more disappointment that the place was crowded, yet mediocre. The steak was...OK. I was not terribly impressed with the cut of meat, to be honest. I've had much better. It wasn't even so much the quality of the meat, but the preparation. I believe a steak should be enjoyed on its own merits for the most part, based on the beef. My steak was ordered medium-rare. It arrived more medium than rare. But the real travesty of the dinner was that the outside was char cooked. It's their thing, I understand when I ordered the Char Crusted Rib Eye. I suppose, but between that and the seasonings, the actual steak was overpowered by salt and pepper and char. It's like they're marketing spin for chefs that can't properly braise/grill meats. That's OK. It wasn't a bad steak. Just not a great one. Where they really messed up, was my cocktail. I ordered the Wildfire Manhattan, having become a fan of this classic cocktail. Basil Hayden bourbon and sweet vermouth. She delivered a glass that was a frothy, cloudy mess, with some ice shards slushing up the drink. I could tell it had been violently abused in the making. Took a couple sips anyway. The booze was so damaged, I sent it back, with clear instructions on how a cocktail is made: gently stirred with ice, then poured straight up into a glass, with no shaking whatsover. The cherries they used for a garnish were top notch, and the main redeeming feature of the drink. I seriously wish bartenders would better learn their craft.

We have been to Wildfire in the past and this time it was extremely disappointing. The service was good, not exceptional, but the food was really lacking. Three out of four meals arrived lukewarm. My coconut shrimp was tasteless and rubbery. The ribs my husband ordered were mediocre. He stated that the ribs from the local grocery store were better. The dessert saved the day! Otherwise it was a lack luster anniversary dinner. Wildfire has lost its glow.

Wildfire has been my favorite steakhouse for the past 10 years at least. The service is always impeccable and the food outstanding. If there's any problems they always make it right. The French onion soup is amazing. The cheese oozes over the top and it has the perfect cheese to soup to onion ratio. Their beet and goat cheese salad is pretty much the reason I started eating beets. And their filet mignon and other steak options are always cooked to perfection. My favorite part about this place, however, is the onion bread they give you when you sit down. To this day, my sister and I fight over the last piece, even though they'll bring you a whole other loaf without even asking. We save that one to take home for the next day. If you can, partake in their martini flight. This represents all the delicious flavors available. The appletini with the brown sugar around the rim is my favorite. Closely followed by the dark and stormy. Their desserts are just as awesome however many of them have nuts or peanut butter so those with allergies are at a loss.

Good food, great staff. Go during happy hour for 1/2 off their appetizer menu...the scallops and chicken skewers are fantastic! So are the martini flights. Love their chopped salad! It's a gem in the village of Lincolnshire. :)

Came here for the first night of restaurant week. We don't come here often but when we do, we can always count on a good meal. I don't know of place that is as consistent as Wildfire! Parking is a nightmare but once you are parked you can relax and get ready for some really full flavored food. For restaurant week 2015 they are offering a choice of a $33 menu or a $44 menu. Both are three courses but have different options. We went with the $44 menu and were more than pleased. For our first course we both had the shrimp and crab bisque. It was amazing. Full of chunks of seafood and veggies. Every flavor note just right! My husband had the New York strip with Parmesan crust for his main course and I had the Petite Filet Mignon with a horseradish crust (you can choose your crust) for my main. Both steaks were done to perfection. It is amazing with the volume of people and food served that they are able to do each steak and food item justice. I loved the horseradish crust, not too spicy but just tangy in all the right ways. We got to choose a side, so the husband ordered the broccoli and I the mashed potatoes. Then we split so we could each have that fifties style well balanced meal. The mashed potatoes are outstanding! For dessert we both chose the key lime pie. The husband thought the graham cracker crust a bit thick but I loved it! The pies are huge so if two of you order them, I would suggest splitting one and taking the other home. Our waitress was really friendly and service overall efficient! I had forgotten how much I like this place so I hope we will go back soon!

This place has really went downhill. They refused to honor an eGift card from my phone, claiming It wasn't valid unless I brought the card in. These guys obviously don't understand the concept of an eCertificate... The manager Greg was extremely rude and condescending. Save your money, don't let these guys overcharge you for mediocre food and bad service. A true disappointment.

Wildfire is a great option in the suburbs for fine dining. The food is great, portions are huge, and the atmosphere is similar to a steakhouse. I love it because of the gluten free options. There is seafood, pizza, steaks, chicken, pasta...you name it, they have it. And it is always consistently good. My families personal favorites are the chopped salad, filet medallions, and cedar planked salmon. The dessert is to die for...even if you are gluten free. The flourless chocolate cake is like melt in your mouth molten lava cake. Delicious!

This restaurant is never a miss. Excellent food and service, and a LARGE gluten free menu. Generous portion sizes, so I would share plates!! I would eat here all the time if I lived in the area.

Mondays = wines are half off! (Caution: don't get carried away tho! Haha.) I went with the trio of medallion fillets with Wildfire special crusts (I had horseradish, parmesan, and bearnaise). Great service. We also got a small room for our party of 8. It was a blast! Our server was fantastic.

I am giving them 5 stars because they have this 1 star review on their page and it is not fair that Yelp will not remove even though I flagged it. I guess yelp can not read. What are you blind this is a steakhouse the review is about Nails. 1.0 star rating 3/6/2015 Bella Nails 2403 N.

I LOVE Wildfire. Have eaten here dozens of times over the years, and I've never had an off-night. The trio of steak medallions is my go-to order, but the macadamia-encrusted halibut is a close second. I also love their French onion soup, chopped salad (a must order!!), and they used to have the most amazing banana/coconut cream pie on the menu, although I haven't seen it recently.

Perhaps I'm unused to Midwestern portion sizes, but these portions were insane. I had the chopped salad which was very good, but after eating for 20 minutes, it didn't even look like I'd made a dent. My mom loved her meatloaf, which she called "very light," but I'm not exactly sure how that could be. Wine list is nice and well-priced.

I have been going to the Wildfire for about 10 years now and have seen a steady decline. Out of the last three times once my steak had a lot of fat on it the next time there was a thick piece of sinew running through it. The amazing thing is that as overpriced as the food is the place is packed. Really strange. The last time I had a burger it tasted like rubber and for $14 I expected better. Salad and starters mediocre. The fish a small portion and the fries were cold. If you want a great steak at a decent price try a Longhorn ---- Rib eye or T-Bone..

The filet medallions are amazing. Service is always outstanding, except for a rude bartender one night. Crab cakes are excellent. One of my favorite places. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Wildfire restaurants have been around for many years, and I have been a frequent dinner at various Wildfire restaurants over time. Tonight my family and I decided to dine at Wildfire Lincolnshire. On Saturday evening at 8:00pm, there was no wait to be seated at a table. Service was prompt, waitresses quickly took our order and brought tray with 2 loafs of bread. Even though Wildfire bakes its own bread, a bread served to our table was hard enough to put nails in a wall. We actually laughed that if dinner will be as fresh as bread, then I better order dinner delivery at home. Appetizer included onion soup. Soup was good, but it was nothing special, I make better soup at home. I would rate it at 2 out of 5. Main course contained one order of scallops and one order of Romanian skirt steak. Scallops were served breaded, which absolutely destroyed a taste of fresh scallops. I would rate scallops at negative or 0 of 5. Skirt steak was well prepared at mid-rare, I rate it 3 of 5 but it was nothing for chef to be proud of. Side dish contained a steamed broccoli which was uneatable, as broccoli tasted like it was boiled for hours in a morning, then was placed in a hot water to warm up in the evening. Another side dish creamed spinach, tasted like a chef put a 2 pounds of salt in it. We declined desert based on discouraging experience with appetizers and main course. Overall, a dinning experience at Wildfire tonight was a disappointment. On a positive side, we enjoyed no wait time to be seated, and service was prompt by the staff. Unfortunately, I felt that quality of food was marginal for a price. We left Wildfire absolutely dissatisfied with a quality of food. Fortunately there is a large selection of restaurants in the area, so went to Kona grill next door for desert to "sweet up" out evening. Needless to say, I will not come back to Wildfire Lincolnshire, and will not recommend it to friends / colleagues.

You know a place is good when it is packed every single night of the week. This is my wife's favorite place and we end up going probably 2 to 3 times a month. Even on on Monday at 5:30 it's crowded, but for good reason... great food at great prices. I had their chopped salad tonight and it was really tasty. No need to get the large though (unless your sharing) the small is gigantic. My wife is gluten-free and has had GF pizza everywhere you can think of, and she says Wildfire's is the best. Ask to sit in Judy's section if you want excellent service from a funny and friendly lady.

cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! We are from Dallas, and our family was passing through the area after we left the airport. I am allergic to gluten and they were FANTASTIC. huge menu with tons of great options - they even brought out g free bread to start - which was great! Everything ordered off of the gluten free menu comes out with a little wooden marker that says "allergy" on it - they are very cautious and careful with food allergies, which I really appreciate! Very friendly staff as well.

Came here for Mother's Day dinner and the food was quite good all around. I had the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection. This place would be rated 5 stars but I spent my entire meal being ran into by waiters and waitresses as they tried to get passed my table. The other side of our table had more room, but they obviously couldn't be bothered to take the extra 3 steps. I would recommend sitting in a booth if given the option.

Visited today for lunch with a 12 PM reservation with my coworkers. It was a table of 10 for a farewell lunch for one of our teammates. I ordered the NY Strip Steak, medium rare. When the steak arrived, I was first surprised at how small it was. For $23, I expected something more substantial. When I cut into it, it was immediately obvious that it was over-cooked. It wasn't a uniform thickness, and it was medium well on one end and well on the other. I debated a bit, and then decided to send it back. Fairly quickly they came back with a replacement. This replacement was at least 50% bigger than the first steak. The waitress asked me to cut into it to make sure it was correct. It was very rare. The dark pink in the middle still had the same texture as an uncooked steak. I said that was definitely not done enough and sent it back. They put it back on the grill, finished cooking it, and then sent it back to my table. WTF? So now, the outside of the steak was crusty, and it really was not very good at all. They did not charge us for this steak, and I ate whatever I could and we left. The manager came over with the final product and apologized to me, but I have to wonder how common this is. The guy next to me ordered the filet mignon medallions medium rare, and his were also overdone and looked really mealy. I could speculate if they froze them, or didn't store them at the right temperature, or had them to long, but I don't really know what happened. All I know is that I know good steak - and I've had good steak at other Wildfire locations. This was not good steak. They could not give me a medium rare steak on two attempts. I think that's pretty bad.

Wildfire is one of my favorites for dinner. The busboys are super kind and the waiters are pretty attentive. I've been to all sorts of steak houses, some of the best in Chicago, and let me tell you.. Wildfire is one of my top choices. The steaks are very good and at a very fair price. Of course there are better steaks out there, but wildfire is hands down the best place to go for a very good steak with out breaking the bank. Also try the brunch, it's open every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am til 3. My favorite is the crab Benedict, it's amazing and try the bacon! It's the best bacon I've ever had in my whole life, you'll understand once you try it!

First time visit with my wife. We both had the bone in ribeye which was perfect! Cooked perfect, seasoned perfect! We shared the ceasar salad for 2 which was good, not the best I've ever had, but good. We each had a potato side, mine the double stuffed baked potato, her the au gratin potatoes. I would order both again! Whenever we go to a steakhouse, we get a side of creamed spinach to share. No one needs more than a couple bites of something as rich as creamed spinach. The creamed spinach was the worst I have ever had. It tasted as if someone read the recipe and instead of a pinch of nutmeg, there was a cup added. It tasted like spinach and eggnog mixed together. Needless to say, I was very disappointed, however it would not stop me from visiting Wildfire again. I just wont order the spinach. The service was top notch and the décor was very nice and comfortable.

Update. The gm contacted me immediately after my bad experience and resulting review. He invited me back for a second visit. The bartender was excellent. Attentive and professional. She offered suggestions and even made me aware of specials. I had the Greek salad... Excellent. The buffalo filet was amazing and perfectly cooked. He came back to make sure all was good with service and food. Kudos to the staff for making a bad situation good. Tip to the gm... Hire more like the Tuesday staff! Traveling on business I was excited to see that there was a restaurant in the area that was a part of the lettuce entertain you group. Place was packed.. A good sign. I had the barbecue chicken. It was excellent... Spit roasted. BBQ sauce with great.. I very much liked the house vinegar and oil dressing. The guy sitting next to me had beef fillet steak. He said they were average. Tips for the bartenders: 1. remove the old drinks and tip money before you serve me my drink... Don't wait til you bring my salad. 2. When you bring a second dressing, remove the empty container from the first dressing. 3. Ask me if I would like water if my glass is empty instead of me trying to wave you down 4. Ask me if I would like another beer without having to wave. 5.. When I tell you that people at the bar are complaining that its freezing, DO NOT put your sweaty hot hand on me and tell me how hot the air from the beer cooler exhaust fan is. 6. When you ask me if I am finished don't just pick up my dinner plate and leave the bar area.... Take my silverware and napkins. 7. Take care of your customers before your friends. 8. Wipe the bar down once in awhile. It's filthy.

How can you go wrong? Affordable pricing for a great steakhouse. I mean - when was the last time you went to a steakhouse that included a side with your steak? The only disadvantage of this place is that you have to make reservations like 5 days in advance to even stand a chance at getting a time you want.

We dined here 8/16 and while the food was good the service was not. Our waitress could not have been more disinterested in serving us. In addition, the reason we came to dine was to take advantage of our summer scratch off card, but unfortunately we forgot it. So I called today (Sun.) to see if they would scratch off the card for us. The manager I spoke to was very rude and told me because we dined on Saturday that we could not use the card. I didn't recall seeing this on anything so I thought I would double check and sure enough there was no such rule. So since we were going to be near there later we decided to stop in and have it scratched off. Again we received the same rude service and were told of the same incorrect rule. You would think you would want to keep your customers happy and it would be no big deal to accommodate us, but it was amazing how incredibly rude they were. The manager did end up giving us the points after much debate. When he came to tell me of the adjustment he gave me a piece of paper and walked away with no explanation. When I asked for an explanation (the manager was on the phone at this point) another gentlemen told me it looks like he gave us points, but they could take them back if I like. No, all I wanted was a friendly face to kindly help me out. Unfortunately, that was not available.

I've been to many of the Wildfire locations in the Chicagoland area (Oakbrook, downtown, Schaumburg, Glenview) but this is the one most frequented so I landed here. What's not to like? It's not gourmet food but as restaurants go, this place is very good. Fresh, warm bread to start which is great to start. When in groups - the chopped salad is a must, I don't particularly like salads (A la Simpsons - "You don't make friends with salad!") but this is one I happily wolf down. Steak, fish, prime rib, potatoes, burgers, sandwiches - all good. I've not had a bad experience dining here so I can't complain on that front. I dock a star because the thing I remember most about one visit (when we had a private room) was how the wait staff kept staring at us and giving us a bit of an evil eye as we continued to chat boisterously and laugh heartily! Oh well!

Beautiful interior & I dug the 1940's esque ambience. My co-worker/friend extroadinaire brought me here for my visit to Chicagoland & I really liked this place. So much so I forgot to take pics of our plates :( Service was good, we were immediately seated with our reservation. Place really picked up around 6-630ish so I really recommend the reservation. Nice place for a special occasion or date. Both of our entree's & martini's were excellent, everything looked great going by our booth also so I'm sure you can't go wrong. Spinach side salad was really good with tons of bacon, mushrooms, egg & julienned radish. I had the broccoli side and my friend the wild rice which looked really good and unique. Here were our entree's both of which were deee-light-fulll! TUNA STEAK TERIYAKI - ponzu sauce and wasabi cream HIGH PLAINSâ„¢ BISON FILET- recommended medium rare with coffee rub Can't wait to return!

Wildfire really stepped it up. I came here on a date and walked away half-impressed, not really expecting to return. I wrote a better Yelp review than he did...he was pretty displeased. After reading his review, the managers sent us a gift card asking us to try it again. We both agreed that the second time around was better. We ordered some different items and through they were much better. The lobster bisque is fantastic! I wasn't impressed with the "crusts" that came with the fillets, but my steak I ordered the second time around was awesome. Not many restaurants really care about what their customers think, but Wildfire really does! In my book, that deserves some brownie points and major respect!

Went early so we could make 7pm movie. Place was already packed. Bread tastes so good there. They bring out two types piping hot. It did take a while to get our order taken, but I guess you don't go to wildfire if you are in a hurry. Wife loved the coconut shrimp. Big pieces. Plenty of food. I had the petite filet, medium. With mushrooms, the filet lived up to the lofty expectations this location is asked to meet. No wonder the wait time for a table after 6 is long every weekend.

This place is ALWAYS good :) We have been here a myriad of times and it's always been delicous. The atmosphere is romantic, with dim lights, and a 20s feel or whatever decade it was. I semi dress up everytime I go here because it is a little more fancy than casual. The service is usually pretty good here, I can't complain. Let's start with the bread, omg goodness with both the onion bread and the pumperknickle raison, sooo good :) I can come here and just eat their bread, no joke. My fiance likes soups and he says all of them are good. I am in LOVE with their chopped salad, the hype is all true, it is the best salad I ever had, and I'm not a salad lover, but I can come here and order salad which is made for at least 2 people, so i always have leftovers, sooo healthy and delcious. We also love the fried calamari appetizer here, which is consistently fresh and really good for calamari. The red skinned mashed potatos are a must on a cold winter day, definitely get a side of those. I'm not a steak person, surprisingly enough, but this place has so much other good and delcious food that it doesn't even matter. However, those around me that have gotten their steaks or fish or burgers always say that they are cooked perfectly. So in terms of variety, they have it all. Now onto my most favorite dessert ever, even better than cheesecake, yes! They have this peanut butter dark chocolate pie dessert which is orgasmic, I mean it is soo good that even when we're super full from the entire meal, we always have to get it! In fact I want a birthday cake made out of that pie next year as the graham cracker crust on it is just to die for. LOVE Wildfire, always will, and for a chain restaurant the Lincolnshire locations seems to be my favorite. But they are always busy, so make reservations!

The last time I went to a Wildfire restaurant, I was disappointed by their lack of gluten-free options. They have definitely made amendments to their menu, and I am happy about the selections. There is a lot more food to choose from now. What really excites me is that I get to eat bread with the other diners while waiting for my food to arrive. That hasn't happened for me in a long, long time. The one mistake I made eating here was ordering the lamb chops. I had the best lamb chops at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in South Barrington. Here, I didn't get my mint jelly, and the lamb was too dry. I did get to enjoy the potatoes au gratin though. I haven't had that in awhile too. All in all, it was a great place to rediscover food I had to stop eating since I was diagnosed with my gluten intolerance. I'll stick to steak next time I go there too!

  • Christopher S.

Wildfire saw my original review about the dry steak. They sent me a gift card and asked me to come back for round 2 and honestly, this time around the food was MUCH better. I decided to try the lamb chop and my wife got the steak and we were both pleased beyond belief. Wildfire, I still find you overrated but Round 2 goes to you. Delicious food, more bread than we should have eaten and very delicious crisp water. If you've ever had a bad dining experience in the last 2 months, I advise returning, they might win you over this time.

Wildfire is showing signs of age in our opinion. My husband and I have dined at the Lincolnshire location many times over the years. While we've never had a "bad" meal, there has been a definite dip in quality. Steaks are a little fattier; desserts taste more generic and store-bought; appetizers come out a little under- or overcooked. Then you look around the restaurant and start seeing things that were never there before--a torn seat cushion, a dirty glass, a scratched and faded table finish. And then you start looking at your fellow restaurant patrons. We are not prudes by any means, but when did it become acceptable to come to Wildfire wearing shorts, flip flops, and a backwards baseball hat? We always thought Wildfire occupied the middle ground between the really expensive steakhouses (Morton's, Gibson's) and the national chains (Outback, Longhorn) but they seem to be creeping towards the latter. Our recent dinner on a blistering hot Tuesday evening contained the highs and lows that we now expect from Wildfire. On the positive side, service has almost always been excellent and this night was no exception. We enjoyed our appetizers--the chopped salad was surprisingly good and shared by my mother-in-law and I. (The leftovers we ate at home the next day were a little soggy as one would expect, but still tasty.) My husband opted for the shrimp and crab bisque and pronounced it excellent. The warm bread brought to our table was so good I had to force myself to stop tearing off pieces. It was when our entrees arrived that our dinner went downhill. My halibut was undercooked so I sent it back. Thankfully, our server said they would cook me another piece. Unfortunately, the second piece was also not completely cooked through. Not wanting to press my luck, I just ate around the undercooked portion. (Full disclosure: my mother-in-law ordered the same thing and had no complaints.) My husband's steak was cooked to his liking. He said it was good but there was little to distinguish it from the national chains. We shared a piece of blueberry pie for dessert. Curiously, the pie was room temperature and had a strange lemon flavor. We left full but disappointed. We don't intend to return to Wildfire any time soon as there are many, many alternatives out there. We give our last visit 2 1/2 stars but will round up to 3 in honor of the good times and great meals we've had in the past.

Sometimes you have to go to the suburbs because your family won't travel to the city for dinner. So it goes. So if I'm coming to the burbs for dinner, it's damn sure going to be at Wildfire or some place equally excellent. I've never, ever had a bad experience (it's ridiculously consistent) at Wildfire and highly recommend it to anyone. Yeah, I'm saying it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wildfire. First, the salads are awesome. My family always says we're only going to get one salad for the table, but then no one can agree on just one, so we end up with a chopped salad and a Caesar salad. Both fabulous choices. The chopped salad is full of yummy salad fixins like grilled chicken, feta cheese, corn, tortilla strips; pretty much a garbage salad. And the Caesar is equally delicious. Time to give it up for the steaks! I always go with the trio of medallion fillets with one of Wildfire's famous crusts. Yep, that's right. You can get your steak crusted with horseradish, blue cheese, mushroom, Parmesan, etc. It's awesome. Oh, you're not a beef kind of person? Wildfire always has excellent fish specials. I sampled the almond crusted sea bass last night. It's wonderful! I think Wildfire is a big city steakhouse feel... only in the burbs. Just because people live in Lincolnshire doesn't mean they can't enjoy good food, right? :)

This location serves consistently better food and offers better service than other Wildfire locations. I used to love their Wildfire burger (with mushrooms) but they took that off the menu a while back. They have absolutely fantastic redskin mashed potatoes. I've tried their BBQ ribs, roasted herb chicken (which is flavorful and juicy), and the pretzel crusted fish sandwich, which is surprisingly good. The grilled steak and blue cheese salad is my absolute favorite! Spinach and artichoke fondue is not the greatest, I would skip that. Save room for dessert because when they bring out the dessert tray you will definitely be tempted to get something and I would suggest the triple layer chocolate cake. This restaurant has a warm and cozy ambiance, good service, and is a great place to take the whole family out for dinner.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I'll say the one star is for the atmosphere...it looked nice in the lounge. After appearances though our experience was downright frustrating and disappointing. It's one thing to sit for a few minutes feeling ignored but it's another beast all together when after about 10 minutes, and staff continually walking around our table (AND making eye contact), we have to walk over to the bar to ask if anyone could please serve us. The bar staff abruptly told us "someone will be right with you....where are you sitting?" after we have sat in full view in front of them for ten minutes. After another few minutes a server finally made it over (I guess the three staff people behind the bar were too busy holding the bar down and looking bored to help) and said the person who had our table hadn't gotten to work yet. After telling him we don't shoot the messenger and would just like something to drink we arrived at ordering the 1/2 price wine special, which, was limited since they "were out" of many selections. We received two glasses of water and eventually a loaf of bread was delivered to the table. We sat some more and waited for our wine. After wasting 10 more minutes of our lives that we can never get back we decided to leave after still not receiving our wine. We realized after our beleaguered waiter kept zipping past us and looking at our table like he remembered (and forgot) our wine again that it would be better to not wind up frustrated and to walk somewhere else to try again. Thank you Champs Sports bar for a nice greeting, friendly service, and timely attention to our needs. We are only traveling through but even if I lived here I would encourage anybody to never waste their money on Wildfire. Their food may get rave reviews but their service is HORRIBLE.

Fun old school steakhouse ambiance. The place was packed. Unfortunately the special halibut, au gratin potatoes and asparagus were under seasoned. I had to request the potatoes to come back warmer. I feel for these prices everything should be well seasoned when they come out. I was disappointed.

F-ing delish. Parmesan crusted rib-eye, do i need to say anything else? my bf and his bestie love this place. we tried to go to the one downtown like a month or two ago and my open table reservation i had made was somehow "lost" even though i had the confirmation pulled up on my phone, and i wasn't about to wait 2 hours to be seated, so i refused to go back there. not to mention the host/Maitre'D was seriously rude about it. we had a reservation, that we had the confirmation email for, through opentable, and had no trouble at this location. we were a few minutes early and were seated right away. our waitress knew her stuff and was friendly and attentive. the boys had the petite filets with parmesan crust and red skin mashed potatoes. I had the rib-eye, crusted, and it was cooked a perfect medium-rare with a nice char on it. i also had a side salad, and it was really good, it had celery, carrots, artichoke hearts, croutons and onions. and it wasn't just a chunk of old iceberg lettuce. yummers. we also had the martini flight, our favorite was the stormy night, the others were too sweet for us, i would def order a stormy night on a return trip. the mashed potatoes were good and fresh but nothing special, i'll try a different side next time and go for dessert too.

Went to Wildfire for Mother's Day. I have never been so appalled in my entire life. The food was terrible! First everything was cold as ice. One of my kids dinners was way overlooked and the other one had a basically raw pizza. The twice baked potatoes were undercooked as well. The worst though was that I had ordered my steak medium rare. The first time it came out it was bloody rare. They tried to fix it by the next time bringing it out well done. Wish I could say the third or fourth times were better but BOTH times it came out bloody rare again. The manager was useless and a complete jerk about it too, like it was my fault they couldn't cook a steak. Trust me, there are FAR better places in Lincolnshire. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Every time I come home from IL, I go on a week-long fast. And I blame the steakhouses in Chicago. Soooo good. Wildfire is a terrific restaurant with unique preparations that adds to the experience of eating a well prepared steak. Take for example, their parmesan crusted petite filet mignons with bearnaise sauces. Also try the crab cake crusted trout. The food is outstanding however, be prepared for a long dining experience. The wait for me is excruciating.

Good service, good steak. Roasted vegetables were a bit bland. Restaurant was full on Saturday, even at 4:45, so make a reservation. Drinks are expensive. We were in a small room so it wasn't noisy (which was great).

I've been to Wildfire a few times at least now, and it's pricey but it's good! Good service, pretty good food, and convenient location if you're looking to go to City Park stuff or even meet up with people in between places. The highlights for me are the salads which come out in a larger wooden bowl that you can share with your table, and the bacon wrapped scallops with apricot sauce (brought my new love of scallops to a higher level) which are a delicious appetizer, and maybe the horseradish crusted filet - a bit too much horseradish, but the filet was cooked perfectly.. yes, I love things wrapped in bacon, but that's completely normal I think. A well-executed restaurant!

Great atmosphere and very good food is pretty standard at the Wildfire. Steaks are great and so is the service. Enjoy!

Wildfire is a consistent chain steakhouse in the area. You know what you will get when you walk in - dark wood, comfy booths and pretty good food with good service. The steak here is king and is well done with several options available on the menu. They typically offer a choice of 3 filet mignon medallions that can come topped with different sauces for those that like a little variety while still enjoying steak. The flank steak here is also very good. The sauce that it is marinated in is excellent - a little peppery but delicious. Wildfire also boasts a sneaky good beer list with some of the local microbrews included as well as your typical staples. A good beer compliments the steak here just as well as a glass of red wine. So go to Wildfire to enjoy a good steak and to catch up on all of those Sinatra songs you've forgotten about... Yes, they take the steakhouse theme that far...

4.5 STARS. Allow me to elaborate: If you go into Wildfire with the reasonable understanding that they do not serve top notch "prime" beef, this establishment is a strong 4-5 stars. Wifey and I went in here at about 9P on a Saturday night, and the place was still buzzing. Fortunately, we were seated immediately, and our server was prompt in getting me a cocktail, and wifey an iced tea (wifey is pregnant, so no booze for her). My Chopin martini was excellent, and I'm sure the iced tea was good too... Prices. Very reasonable. Once again, this is because they do not serve "prime" beef, like places such as: Ruths, Mortons, Keefers, etc. Being the extreme steak snob (well, just a snob in general), I am abnormally picky, and was definitely not disappointed. For our entrees, wifey opted for the petite filet, and I, being ravenous, went with the large, horseradish crust, filet. Both wifey and I were impressed that the filets were prepared to perfection. For USDA, choice quality ( I assume), the steaks were really good, and generous cuts. For our sides, wifey kind of complained about her veggies being a tad burnt, but my garlic mashed potatoes, were excellent. Good service, reasonable prices, and very good food. Semi-fine dining, without the attitude. I'll return, and most likely, soon!

This review is for all of the vegetarians with meat tearing family/friends out there. As a vegetarian at a steakhouse, you admittedly do not have many options, but the few options you have here are pretty good. Salads, pizza, and a very delicious veggie burger (my personal staple food). The baked goat cheese and spinach and artichoke fondue are also nice options. The spinach DIP (fondue should always be reserved for chocolate in my mind) is fantasticimo. The cheese is sharp and rich, and the spinach and artichoke are perfectly brought to the surface. The downside is that there are not enough garlic crackers included; the chef obviously wants you to burn your fingers by frantically dipping your hands into the dip to finish it off. I imagine him back in the kitchen, clothed in slabs of red meat and cackling at my veggie brethren as he pours steak rub into the eyes of vegetarian orphans. Give me more crackers you diabolical mastermind! On to the veggie burger, perhaps the best deal in the whole place at $10 (50% to 100% less than most other menu items). Top notch. I do not have any idea what lemon garlic aioli is, but it was a strong and flavorful topping to a good sized and well textured burger. And what came with this burger? The largest baked potato (twice-baked actually) that I have ever been served and/or eaten. It was close to the size of a Chipotle burrito. Now here is the embarrassing part. I have not had left-overs in 2 or 3 years, but this stupid potato forced me to break my streak and crushed my main claim to gluttonous American masculinity. Oh the tears that flowed. I would give this place 5 stars, but I do not want to mislead people who come to a steak house for ... steak. My family loved everything they ordered, but I personally found the prices a little high and the portions a little small. Thrifty vegetarianism strikes again!

I usually expect some high quality steak for around $30 but Wildfire did not deliver. I had the medallion trio with horseradish, mushroom, and double baked potato. I usually love horseradish, but I did not enjoy the horseradish crust. I felt it was too strong and took away the flavor of the steak. I scraped off a lot of it. I am not quite sure which of the other two was which, because I was too busy chewing through the overcooked meat to notice the flavor. I ordered medium rare and it was more like medium well, chewy and dry. The side of roasted vegetables were rubbery and tasteless. I enjoyed the Berry Crisp as dessert, though! Fresh berries, oatmeal cookie, and vanilla ice cream. YUM! The service was good, and our water glasses got refilled regularly. I think it's a good restaurant for a date or a business dinner, but not for really good food.

my husband and i love going to this location because of their fast service and great food. we love pretty much everything on the menu! a word to the wise though, order a half portion desert! when you order the chocolate covered pretzel sunday its almost as big as your head! took off one star because the most recent time we were there, our tip was somehow moved up a dollar. everyone makes mistakes though so we will go back and re-review if it doesnt happen next time.

Great for a date or family dinner. Everyone loves the steaks, they're good. But I really like the salmon, potatoes, and the awesome salad. The service seems on the ball in general and there's some ok wine choices. Check it out!

My girlfriend and I were very dissatisfied with Wildfire. The only thing that was nice about the restaurant was the decor, I give them that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service was very poor and the food was terrible for what we payed for. One star for Wildfire.

After hearing much praise about Wildfire amongst my friends and colleagues, I went to this Wildfire location while visiting some friends. With a beautiful stacked stone exterior and a sweeping walkway, Wildfire features a dining room and bar that exudes warmth, masculinity, and modernity. The stacked stone motif continues in the main dining room where the exposed wall features black-and-white photographs, a glass divider allows patrons to view into the kitchen, which has spotlights that highlight the gleaming stainless steel appliances. If you love booths, this place has an abundance of them and their bathrooms are impeccably clean and well-designed. The bar area is a lively area to meet up over cocktails - the locals (who dress like locals) are often loud and raucous, as to be expected as the flat screen tv's are usually tuned in to the latest sports game. Service can be spotty - the servers can be awesome but there were a couple of bartenders who were extremely hesitant to allow us seating at the tables in the bar - despite the fact the room was virtually empty (we were there late afternoon well over an hour before the dinner crowd arrived). When we heard no and saw the look of disdain - we approached the host / general manager instead. Big props to him - otherwise we would have taken our wallets elsewhere (we already spent a large sum on a private party and were continuing the festivities with more cocktails and desserts). Most dishes you cannot miss - their wildfire chopped salad, though, needs special mention...it is unbelievably good. I normally like the meats but this was fantastic that it even overshadowed the salmon that we ordered. Desserts are a MUST - sinfully sweet and presented beautifully, you will be in a euphoric mood afterwards. Definitely recommend coming here for a good meal, happy hour, or a special occasion (just avoid the moody bartender lady).

Excellent and tasty! Every single bite of food we have had there has been fantastic. Steak, soup, bread whatever. The drinks from the bar are inventive and delicious. We love going for late night suppers and the wait staff have been so kind. We always look forward to going.

My husband was a bartender at this Wildfire for almost 8 years so I have only but good things to say about this restaurant. We have dined at this restaurant over a dozen times and have always received great service, fantastic food and an overall great dining experience. Try the chopped salad, its huge and they toss the dressing at the table for you. It has avocado, corn, tortilla chips, and a nice dressing. Its definitely one of my favorites. The filet mignon is very tender and I always order the filet trio which consist of three mini filet each with a different crust (wildfire has great crust that you can top your filet's with from blue cheese, parmesan, mushroom, horseradish, and peppercorn) all of them are excellent and if you cant decide on just one I would recommend the trio. Always a great choice. My husband loves to get the porterhouse or the macademia crusted halibut which are both delicious. Sides are always delicious as well and I have tried many from mashed potatoes, grilled veggies and even their baked butternut squash with brown sugar OMG!! Desserts are ok and they offer drink and wine flights as well which is a small mini drink and you get 4 of different kinds of drinks or wines in a flight. Overall one of my favorites restaurants.

My last experience here was not a good one. I came here with my family and my husband...they messed up most of our order...and none of our steaks were cooked right. It was a huge let down. Wildfire has never ever let me down - I'm still in shock.... They tried to give us free dessert to make up for it - but we weren't really in the mood at that point. I'm a little hesitant to go back anytime soon - very sad considering it was one of my favorite restaurants. I'm hoping it was a once in a lifetime experience... bummer.

We went here for lunch prior to getting our putt-putt on on at Par-King. It was tasty. We started off with the cornbread, and hmmm... that was good. Then we had toasted bread you dipped in tomato sauce and goat cheese. Finally, for my entree, I had pretzel crusted fish sandwich. This was the first part of my meal that had something a bit different than your standard fare. I think there may have been some anise in the breading? It was a really unique taste, that I'm sure not everyone would have enjoyed, but I loved. Okay, so the weird thing: everyone around us was above 50 years old, most were in their 70's. Definitely felt a bit out of place.

I have been to Wildfire 3 or 4 times over the years (in Linclonshire and Glenview). Another Lettuce Entertainment concept, it evokes an old-school steak house but with a modern fresh feel. A great place for a special occasion meal. The food service, and ambiance are all great, although it is on the expensive side (like most good steak houses). The Chopped salad, cedar plank salmon, soups (crab shrimp bisque, chicken and of course the steaks are all good. My favorite is the three filet medallions and you can get each with a different encrusted topping. It might not look that big when it comes to your table, but I can barely finish the whole thing.

I'm Irish, which means I sure know my potatoes. Yesterday, I ordered a cedar-planked salmon with a side of red-skinned mashed potatoes for lunch here. First thing I noticed, the mashed potatoes had brown skins. Now I swear I'm not the pickiest eater, but red and brown potatoes taste different! These mashed potatoes were not so great. Secondly, my salmon came out pretty burned on the cedar plank.... and by pretty burned, I mean that even the edges of the cedar plank looked as though they had been on fire and had been put out. It was black and ashy. The salmon glaze was good, but the salmon piece was pretty burnt around all the edges and was mostly inedible except for the center area. I gave 3 stars because I had an amazing Arnold Palmer and my boyfriend had a delicious Red Passion martini. Overall, I just think that this is probably not one of the greatest steakhouses around Chicago.

We made reservations through Yelp which was so easy to do. Although we made the reservations, we still had to wait 15 mins to be seated. I ordered the filet and it was delicious. My wife has the swordfish that was so tender you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The waitress was very attentive. A little on the pricey side but food was really good.

A very decent restaurant. Sort of a nouveaux-alpha supper club with a twinge of fine dining. Steaks aren't prime but are also a bit less expensive than average ($25-35). The char-crusted ribeye is a grizzly and fatty disappointment, but their tenderloin is fork-cuttingly soft. The red meat standout is actually prime rib: a giant, not overly fatty, and usually cooked-to-desired-doneness cut. Fish dishes are enormous but usually overcooked with bland preparations. A recent cod special exhibited a pound of very fresh tasty fish, zapped to oblivion with a too-mild lemon sauce that accentuated nothing. Salmon on a wood plank sounds intriguing, but I couldn't note any smoke or wood flavors; a strange outcome, but again for a fresh cut of fish. Coconut fried shrimp are large, greasy, and too small a serving for the cost but still managed to satisfy our craving. Appetizers are huge and decadent but also, again, usually overcooked. I was really looking forward to the garlic crab stuffed shrimp--it's become nearly impossible to find a good shrimp de jonge anymore and I love crab--but it was bland and rubbery. Sauteed mushrooms were fine but tasted like oil and not much else. French onion soup was a decent rendition though the stock was to thin. Quality here is generally good, food items are more than OK, and service is excellent. But I tend to think that they're so busy and so intent on serving fast and large portions that they constantly miss a little bit on execution. Doesn't matter, we'll be back,. my grandma loves Wildfire. Without drinks, expect to pay $30-50 per person.

Overall, Wildfire seems to be an interesting place. Another part of the group owned by Lettuce Entertain You ( leye.com ), they are known for the high quality in their food. The restaurant is filled with 50's celeb photos and an oldstyle decor with nice wood burning ovens/stoves (whatever) visible from wherever you sit, and a clean bar. The waitstaff were polite, the place was clean (at least where we sat), and they had no problems seating us immediately even though we were 30mins late after the time we had reserved. I ordered a Tuna Steak (medium well), and it arrived marginally overcooked. It was excellent overall, and the horseradish to go with it was a nice touch. Also noted that their portions are enormous and they have some sort of baked potato/potato w/cheese thing you can order which is like 1.5-2lbs of potato (big potato is an understatement). Overall, food was good, but there was no variety in the menu whatsoever. Pretty much all there was is steak ribs and fish.

One of the best and a good value. Great food and energenic ambience. Still quiet enough for a conversation. Busy, so you will want a reservation regardless of the day. Service is good and not designed to have you stay all night. If you want a long romantic meal, go elsewhere. Hard to beat all in all.

This place is typical Lettuce Entertain You (or LEYE). Which means it is a "manufactured resturant" . Basically there is no great chef responsible, just a management team of the faceless corporation. They do all they can here to put a good meal on the table, and lets face it that's all it is and thats all its really gonna be, just good enough to be passable that I won't find an excuse when the over 40 crowd asks me if i can meet them there. However I will never suggest this to anyone for anyreason. If you send a real foodie here either you are a fucking moron and they just wont take your suggestions seriously again or they are a complete impostaorie! YOURS WITH LOVE, SOMEONE WHO GIVES 2 LEFT TESTICLES ABOUT FOOD! P.S. if you gave any place like this 5 stars you are not reading the part where it says WooHoo! As good as it gets! either you are barely breathing, or just havent been outside Chicago in your whole life. Seriously if you give 5 stars to a place like this your tounge now hates you like Stewie does Lois. Go find a really great restaurant like L20 MOTO or MK TRU and enjoy food. If you are a penny pincher and cannot justify the expense then stop posting! For the love of other people's food lives', just crawl in a hole and stop brodcasting your awful and uneducated palates' blathering! Seriously stop! You are embarrasing yourself; just go to facebook if you crave attention. You could also email me and ill take you to a real restaurant.

It looks way cooler in here than it is in actuality. And the posh digs, kind of befitting that of old establishments in the nation's capital where power brokers have made and reshaped fortunes, is completely not in tune with the mediocre food. Well, actually... now that I think about it... there are a lot of these swanky but uninteresting joints in DC, too. Regardless, of the various Lettuce Entertain You restaurants that I've been to (Aside: Really? Wow Bao? I had no clue), this one has fallen as short of the mark as I can recall. First, let's start with the weird service-less situation we faced upon being seated. Either the server who was supposed to be handling our section decided to abscond, or the hostess who sat us had fallen off the ball (if she was ever on it to begin with) and sat us in a section sans server. Either way, we were provided menus... and were then left to our own devices until we managed to flag down a barely-English speaking busboy to inquire about when someone would come take our order. It was easily ten or fifteen minutes. Utter SNAFU that seems like it could have been easily avoided via some nominal level of communication on the part of the staff. Once we actually got a server (who was profusely apologetic... and who was apparently working a different section clear on the other side of the house), things went quite swimmingly. In fact, our server then became one of the bright points of the meal - aside from the grandiose space itself, like I mentioned. Anyone who can address my dad as "young man" in a British accent with all seriousness wins awesome points with me. The bread board here is absolutely superb. Crusty bread... I think we had a pumpernickel roll with golden raisins baked into it. The other grain roll was enjoyable, just not as fascinating. I had a cup of their baked French onion soup, which was actually pretty decent... but excessively priced for the serving. That led into a completely boring Greek chicken salad. How does one make a Greek chicken salad look quite impressive (and huge)... yet taste so amazingly flat? I'm almost somewhat impressed. Here are a select few basic ingredients: chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta, onions, balsamic vinegar. Sounds like it should be exploding with flavors, right? Yeah - that's what I thought, too. Oops, my mistake. Plus, those kalamata olives? Total tease. They were nowhere to be found in the giant mound of chopped salad before me. Le sigh. You will get your money's worth here in the form of ambiance, service (presuming you're seated where there -is- service), and quantity of food. If you're expecting haute cuisine, you will be sorely disappointed. Perhaps this is one restaurant better left to those with palates of concrete.

Loved it! Reminded me of Maggiano's ala steakhouse. The food was very good. I enjoyed my steak and salad. Our server let us have peas as our veggie and they were great. Steak was perfectly cooked and was tender and tasty. I also loved the chocolate cake. I will be back when I am in the area.

I really like Wildfire. They are definitely one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to, and having worked at a Steakhouse for a few years, I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable on the subject. For starters, they have a pretty tasty calamari. Their filet mignon and NY strip, when ordered properly (i.e. medium rare) are both really, really tasty. The crusts you can get on the steaks are really good, too. They also have some good sides, such as mashed potatoes and a really good sweet potato. My only minor gripe is that they are a bit pricey (~$30 for a filet). 4 1/2 stars, rounded down to 4 for bell curve reasons.

    (4)
  • Kathleen T.

What a delicious experience this was. For starters we had the calamari and it was the BEST that I have ever had. I chose the scallops which were served on a bed of garlic spinich with a delightful lemon sauce. My side was the mashed red potatoes. My husband had the petite filet and he said it was a little dry. Looked a little on the dry side so maybe a little sauce would have helped. He did say it was tasty:) Loved it!

As a temporary resident this was my first time experiencing Wildfire. One word, GREAT!! I was joined by coworkers and we had a blast. The service was great. The environment was cozy. The brown sugar encrusted salmon was F A B!!! Next time I will experience the wine or martini flights.

Nice place. It missed 4 stars because the steak was a bit firm and a 5 th star because my $12 glass of wine was 3 oz max. I thoroughly enjoyed the place and plan on returning soon and see if warrants a better review. I think it might.

I have to admit that I try to find fault with Lettuce Entertain You restaurants (call me a 'chain' snob), but this is the second Wildfire location I've visited and enjoyed another wonderful experience every bit as good as at any standalone non-chain restaurant. My wife and I found ourselves near the Lincolnshire location at 5pm on a weeknight and I knew about the Martini Lounge specials (half-price apps and $5 cocktail menu). We enjoyed three appetizers (calamari, a flatbread pizza and bacon-wrapped scallops with fig jelly) and four very generous and strong cocktails for under $40 out the door. The lounge and dining room had a great vibe just like the other Wildfire location we've visited (Glenview). The service was near-perfect even at a high-top in the lounge. We left full and happy and likely spent less that we would have at a TGIFriday's. Nicely done once again, Wildfire!

Wildfire is a sure thing with no surprise. The place is decorated like an old fashioned French brasserie with a rather dark room and roomy booths. The service is professional and the food is good. The portions are rather on the large side. The only downside, always busy so you do have to make reservations and open table is the easiest way to do so, and the food comes out of the kitchen a bit slowly which could be a plus if you want a nice relaxing evening. The steaks here are outstanding so are the salads. The seafood is so so and not worth the detour with maybe the exception of the sea scallops although they are not consistently good (sometimes great and melting in the mouth and sometimes tough and dry). Overall a good place with good service, good food, full bar and a decent wine list. Note, half price bottle of wines (some bottles only) on Monday.

I have been to this place a million times - each time was great. However, today was especially great. I took a friend out for her b-day - it's one of her favorite restaurants - and planned to have a nice lunch. We ordered a small Wildfire Chopped Salad and split it, as an appetizer. For entrees, she had a stuffed cheddar burger and I had a chicken club sandwich. Drinks and apps were brought quickly. However, we waited about 25 mins before our server came back and apologized for things taking so long. She said her manager would be over soon... No sooner did she say that, and the manger was serving us our food himself. He apologized for the wait and comped us the ENTIRE MEAL. Of course I gave the server a more than ample tip and we were on our way. Great service, and great comps for minimal trouble. Wonderful overall.

I've been to 5 beer dinners here, and all have been an exceptional value with excellent service. The menus are designed to pair various styles of beer with companion foods- from appetizers through dessert. Brad does an excellent job of organizing these events. I'll try to NEVER miss one!

Wildfire is a SAFE choice. I mean, if you're going with a group and you're not sure what everyone likes to eat, then come here if you're in the area. There are healthy options, fish options, chicken and beef. Also a great chopped salad. I've never had a bad meal here but I've never been floored by an amazing meal either. Typically, I order their filet trio. It's always been pretty good but their filets are no where near the quality of the higher end steak houses. If you want to ruin a piece of filet mignon, then get some of their famous steak toppings. The service is consistenly great. Three stars because I would never insist on coming here but will come if I am invited.

Yum! This place rocked my socks! The cornbread they give you is super moist and delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail app which was good big shrimp. The lobster crab bisque is outstanding! The chopped salad tastes fresh and delish! My hubby got a burger which was average but the fry tasted really good definitely coming back. Oh ya did I mention we had wine and beer flights! Yum! We went fir lunch so it didn't seem to outrageous as far as prices.

Another very nice meal tonight at Wildfire, this time at the Lincolnshire restaurant just nearby the Regal IMAX theaters. It was for this reason we booked the restaurant, as we were seeing Carmen 3D. Tonight they were offering a dinner special of encrusted Alaskan cod baked in their wood fired oven. I had this dish and it was one of the best pieces of fish I have had. As always, the chopped salad (a small bowl more than fed our table of four guests) was very good as was the house-made key lime pie which we all enjoyed. As is true of their other outlets, even on a Sunday night the restaurant was packed, so a reservation is always highly recommended. Despite this, service was still very prompt and friendly.

Eh. Nothing too exciting to be seen here folks. Overpriced suburban food with decent service. If you feel like dropping $12-$15 on a salad or sandwich, fine but really....if you are going to order a nice prime rib or steak---hit up one of Chicago's solid steakhouses and save yourself the $50 for a truly gratifying meal elsewhere.

My husband and I love this place and luckily we live right down the road. Steak is great and we both usually order the medallian trio. Calamari and chopped salad are decent as well for appetizers! It can be a little pricey (depending on how much wine we drink!) but overrall we enjoying dining here once every few months in order to enjoy some well cooked steak!

I have dinned at the Wildfire in Chicago and this one in Lincolnshire 2x. Food was good on previous occasions but on this day it was very disappointing. Our waiter was very prompt and courteous, however it took a little over 30 minutes for our order to arrive which was a bowl of soup, shrimp cocktail, and a salad. I thought that was too long of a wait for a salad and some shrimp, especially during the lunch hour. I noticed our waiter sitting and chatting with a table of people next to us for about 10 minutes while we waited for our food. That seemed a little unprofessional and just didn't look good while we sat there waiting for that long. I ordered the wildorf salad which was described as romaine lettuce, apples, cranberries, walnuts, sunflower seeds and grilled chicken. What I got was a mound of shredded romaine with a few scattered cranberries and whisper of a few shaved apple strips and maybe 3 walnuts, with a few strips of grilled chicken on the side. You would think they had to ration the other ingredients due to a major shortage they way they barely added them in. I know this is a steak house but putting together a decent chicken salad shouldn't be beyond their capability. No one should pay $15 for a plate of shredded lettuce in a restaurant of this caliber.

I have been frequenting this restaurant since 2001, absolutely an awesome restaurant. I have tried almost everything on their menu. You just can't go worng with the Prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes. Burgers very delicious as is their seafood. Their cheesecake is just stupendous. Outstanding selection of Cocktails. The only reason I gave it a 4 star: Service used to be very good, the last time I was there the wait staff were chit chatting in the corridor, I found that very annoying. But then again this happened just once.

Arrived for a work function, and it was packed to the brim with the holiday restaurant traffic. Inside was a warm atmosphere that fits the holiday season well. This, however, led to overfill of capacity and waiting beyond our reservation time. The bar was packed and standing around in lanes and getting runover by the waitstaff in the bar table area was irksome. Once seated the appetizers were already on the way for the group which was nice, but it still took some time. It took them awhile to take orders and deliver. The wait staff was not up to par with what a restaurant like this should be, especially a chain one that has processes and training in place. The appetizers weren't great; they need work. I ordered the Mahi Mahi though and it was nicely prepared (not overly buttery) with a big honking portobello on top. The side dish of wild rice was absolutely excellent and well prepared with bits of of other vegetables mixed in. The house Cabernet was just ok. A for atmosphere, B+ food, C service.

Took my daughter to Wildfire for birthday dinner...she ordered a steak medium. When she cut into the steak, it was clearly rare. We did not see our sever for 30 minutes and only after we asked for her. We were all done with our dinner. The manager came over and offered to buy us desert which we refused. Too busy and they don't care about their guest. We will never return!

I love Wildfire. The chopped salad is absolutely phenomenal. Yesterday I was out early and I tried their happy hour menu. The food is delicious especially the crab crusted stuffed shrimp and each plate is under 6 bucks!

They think and act very special. The food is okay. The menu is not that large. Special selections are always the same. Staff is okay, not great. Restaurant is beautiful and comfortable if you get a booth. Suggest you order the wildfire chopped salad for two and split a burger if you are eating at lunch. You'll be full and happy.

wildfire is always a sure thing; food's always good, service always pleasant. i tend to order the french onion soup (yum!) and the filet. I have heard rave reviews on the lamb chops as well. It's not cheap but reasonably priced for a steakhouse, and they always get it right... wildfire tends to be extremely crowded, so keep that in mind. reservations are available, and a must.

Top notch place - nice atmosphere in the bar area. Without reservations count on an hour wait. All the steaks are great tasting and the wine list is very good. Service efficient but still friendly and personal (most the time). The prices for a steak are getting close to the prime houses (like Morton's).

Very busy place. Plan to drive around for a while before finding a parking space. Decent wine selection. Ordered a filet medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The side of broccoli was also perfectly done - crisp tender. The sauce was on the side, also good. Compared to other amazing steak places I have been to I can only give this 3 stars. But there is tough competition with Del Friscos in NY and Boston. Very good service at the bar. Give this place a try.

Went with the inlaws and we were all very pleased. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the porterhouse which he said was very flavorful and huge! My inlaws had prime rib that they said was delicious. We shared the Caesar salad and all agreed it was one of the best wèd ever had. When considering cost, wildfire is a value because sides are included vs alacarte and their prices are very competitive compared to others around town. Another nice thing is that it is always consistent and there are a lot of other choices on the menu besides steak.

I made a reservation on OpenTable.com for dinner at Wildfire Lincolnshire for our wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Marriott Resort and had gift cards for a Lettuce restaurant so Wildfire worked perfectly. The food was very good. We started with the Oven Roasted Crab Cakes and we both had Filet Mignon. What really impressed me was on the Open Table reservation I noted that it was our anniversary. My husband actually were joking about how some restaurants we had visited ask if you are celebrating something and don't do anything about it. After dinner we were preparing to order dessert when our server, Jamie F, came out with a complementary Gluten Free chocolate cake (which is amazing btw). We were so surprised, what a very nice touch. We proceeded to order Chocolate Martinis after dessert as recommended by Jamie. Jamie F, was very attentive and super sweet. The food was very good, but the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our evening at Wildfire Lincolnshire.

I think the menu is a pretty overpriced. I had the filet mignon with scallops. The filet mignon was decent, but they had very, very small portion of scallops, which was delicious.

I know Wildfire is a chain... and I usually don't like going to chains... but there is something about the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants that keep me coming back time and time again. Wildfire is one of the LEY restaurants that I frequent. I think what keeps me coming back is the Stormy Night martini. It is like liquid candy kids... I can throw 'em back all night! Since I have been here a myriad of times, I have tried a multitude of dishes and martinis (but I always end up wishing I got the Stormy Night). My favorite items on the menu are the Chopped Salad and the Filet Mignon. Service is always fantastic. Even though Wildfire is usually super crowded, I never have to wait that long for a table and never feel rushed to finish my meal. I have also dined in the bar area. Sometimes I go here with girlfriends during the week for Happy Hour, where we order martinis and can enjoy some half price appetizers. I am now a huge fan of the fried calamari. I am very picky about my calamari, but now Wildfire is using FRESH calamari... so it is no longer tough and chewy. I think I am going to have to take advantage of the Happy Hour menu more often now!

Staying in town and looking for some decent seafood. Yelp lead me here and it was a great choice. The cedar plank salmon was amazing. It was actually fired on a cedar plank that was still on the plate when they served it. Great bar selection as well. Very worth the trip and $$

Today we celebrated my Mother's 70th Birthday by having a private event at Wildfire Lincolnshire. My experience began about two months ago when I contacted WF to inquire about hosting a private party to celebrate my Mother's birthday lunch. I met with Tina, one of the ladies that runs the parties and special events. After figuring out my intended guest count we decided on booking The Hillside room. We decided on a special table configuration to highlight the guests and also allow for a projection presentation (pictures of my Mother from baby to current age), with a gift table and a sweet table. When we arrived the room was set perfectly and looked amazing. Our servers got there early to set up for the party and were very helpful and professional. The servers and restaurant were very mindful and accommodating of our itinerary. First we had pizza appetizers----both the Mozzarella pizza and Mushroom pizza. They were delicious. Then we had an interruption planned in service to do speeches and some table topics my Mom wanted to do. When we were ready, the servers brought out our chopped salads on que. The Wildfire Chopped salad is often imitated, but never have I had a better, or tastier salad. Salads were followed with the Tenderloin Tips and Salmon, with side dishes of mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. We chose to provide our own desserts as we had a huge full sheet cake made from a local bakery. The servers expertly had the cake cut up and set up on plates and distributed to the guests. The lunch package also includes coffee and tea service, which a lot of my guests really appreciated. When you plan a party for a special occasion there are a million and one things that you need to do. Having Tina and the staff at Wildfire Lincolnshire assist me with my party really took a lot of the pressure off of me and helped me just to enjoy myself in the celebration of my mother's birthday. Thanks Wildfire!

I love wildfire! I think the food is great, the service is wonderful, and the selection is top notch! I am giving them 3 stars because there is ALWAYS a wait. Whenever I make a reservation, I am a,ways stuck waiting for an additional 15-30mins to be seated. I understand, they can't control the amount of time it may take one to eat, but after years of being in the same location, I would think they would figure something out by now. Nevertheless, what frustrates me the most is the carry out. EVERYTIME I place an order for carry out, they give me a pick up time and EVERYTIME I wait for an additional 30minutes. Prior to even taking the order, they assign you a time. I would ink a time would be given based on the order. Fr example, if one orders a cup of soup, they shouldn't have to wait the same amount of time as an individual that orders 3 entrees. Being such a large chain, I would think they would have these things fixed.

We're big fans of Wildfire (we've been to all of them) and the Lettuce Entertain you restaurants. This Wildfire in Lincolnshire is our favorite, and has not let us down. Service is top-notch and the food is excellent/ We love the Wildfire chopped salad, the daily fish special is always good, and I love the steak medallion trio (baked potato crust is incredible!). The dessert tray is very hard to resist -- the fruit crisp with ice cream is amazing, and the chocolate cake is incredible as well.

Did not know what to expect on my first visit. I did not know this was such a popular steak house and we waited 40 minutes on a Wednesday night for a seat. Well worth it. Meal was fantastic (ribeye medallions with mushrooms)! And they have flights of martinis! A first for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire food experience! Service and attention from the staff was really very good as well...

I am lucky we have such a nice place so close to home. I come here every once in a while, on business or with the wife with and without kids. Everything is good here ... Caesar salad is delicious, the beef - anyone - are always juicy and cooked to perfection, warm red inside as I like it. Portions are large which allows you to go family style unless you want to take something home. Service is not superb but is decent and we never leave disappointed. Affiliation to Lettuce Entertain You just makes everything even better.

I'm going to write this review solely on the great job this place did on my Christmas Day carry out. Called up and ordered and was told my pickup time would be about an hour later. This was honkey-dorey with me; gave me time to whirl my locks into something befitting the day. Pickup could not have been easier; my order was there and ready and I was in and out in a jiffy. Food was packaged wonderfully and rode home safely. Couldn't have been more pleased.

The food was great, the drinks were excellent and the service was timely. The only thing I would have liked to seen different was the creamed spinach should have had a little more spinach and a little less cream. They have a nice drink menu with interesting drinks that are quite tasty, plenty of wine choices and my seafood dish was excellent.

Had one of the best steaks I've ever had. Cooked exactly to order the temperature was perfect, and served within minutes off of the grill. The potatoes au gratin, and mushrooms were great compliments to the steak. The Caesar salad was acceptable, but not extraordinary. For dessert my fellow diners had the pumpkin pie which they enjoyed. I had the sampler (peanut butter pie, key lime pie, ice cream sandwich). The peanut butter pie was good, but the award winning item was the ice cream sandwich. The key lime pie was flavorless. Service was good, and the atmosphere (Mad Men chic) was excellent.

We had a party of four for an early dinner Memorial Day Weekend. This popular restaurant was very crowded even at 5:30 pm. Service felt rushed. For the price of a meal, you might expect a salad or soup before dinner. However, you are only offered one side dish with your entree unless you pay extra. The food was good except for onions that tasted like they were marinated in vinegar. . Waitstaff didn't come around with more beverages or other items without being asked. The table was totally cleared right after the main meal without asking if we wanted dessert. The server saw us opening some cards. He brought a small volcano cake unasked. I think he may have hoped we'd share the tiny cake and then vacate the table. We had to ask for a dessert menu, small plates and forks and knives. For a meal for four over $200, we should not have been this rushed. I think management should reconsider the rush job and make the customers feel more appreciated.

Good news; bad news -- for me anyway. I'm a semi-frequent visitor. When I come here a lot, it's because they have their magnificent cherry stone clams. I hear today is the last day for them. Bad move Wildfire. I'll be more distant now.

  • Jim S.

I understand that Wildfire is not a real steakhouse, but they should be able to prepare a bone in rib eye to medium rare. They should also check on your table after you get your steak to make sure its prepared properly. What they did to my steak was a crime. White is not medium rare. When you have to wave your waitress down to come to your table over 10 min after your food has arrived, its hard to want to wait another 10 min for another steak while everyone else at your table is done eating. The manager did take the steak off the bill, but that doesn't make the dinner better. I think a place that specializes in steak should be able to cook at med rare. Also, had the server checked on us before our food came, we would have bought another bottle of wine, but by the time we saw her again, we were done.

  • Mike S.

On a tip from some in my training class when I was back in the area we decided to make a reservation. We were told to order the bone in rib eye steak. I always research a place before I go and found out they age there steaks up to 30 days. SOLD! We were very pleased with what we got. A beautifully cooked steak just as we ordered it. Probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. We went back the next night. A little loud because of the tons of people they serve so not a good romantic place but other than that I couldn't say anything negative at all. We will go back on every training mission.

For the 'burbs this is a fantastic steak. I like the crust options and peppercorn dipping sauce. Super nice servers and clean atmosphere. I've had better steaks before, but it's perfect at what it strives to be.

Note: This is a happy hour/bar review only! Wildfire is definitely going to be my new happy hour haunt when I'm back in the Chi-town 'burbs. I went with my parents for the half-priced appetizers and $5 cocktails. While the cocktails we tried (blackberry mojito, strawberry lemonade) were just ok, the appetizers were AWESOME. We split the wild mushroom pizza, spinach-artichoke fondue, calamari, mussels, and bacon-wrapped scallops. The only thing I wouldn't order again would be the fondue, not because it was bad, but because I think I make something similar that's just as delicious in my slow cooker. If ordering the pizza, be warned - it's big enough to split between three people if you're all just a little bit hungry! We had trouble getting through it but didn't want to waste it. The real standouts here, however, are the mussels and the scallops. We opted for the mussels cooked in beer, as recommended by the bartender. They were huge and tender and delicious, and came with a really interesting sort of tomato salad that paired really nicely. I would definitely get these again! And the scallops - OH the scallops - so tender and big and juicy, with well-cooked bacon.... if we hadn't been so full we probably would have gotten two more orders. Skip the dinner menu and just go for the half-priced apps. Our whole bill was 70 bucks for five large dishes, three cocktails, two beers, and a glass of wine between three people. Can't go wrong there!

What can I say... I worked here a long time ago, I've been here countless times, and had ordered carryout just as much. The food is delicious, drinks are amazing, service is awesome! This has got to be my favorite restaurant and it is always our default choice of where to go when we can't make a decision. I've been to plenty of other steakhouses - much more expensive than this, and so far the steaks here have been the best. My favorite items are the chopped salad and the trio fillet special that they always have available. I've tried most of the items here an can't point out ANYTHING bad. Oh, and don't get me started on the desserts... I recommend this restaurant to anyone: romantic dinner for 2 or for a large group of 15+ people. They offer the best club menu I have seen for a very reasonable price and with many choices. I believe you have to have at least 6 people in the party to be able to do the club menu. Oh, and they just started serving brunch until 2pm... how cool :)

Great food is served at Wildfire - - whether it is steaks, seafood or ribs. My favorite is their filet medallion trio, and I love that redskin mash potatoes. We always get their Caesar Salad to share and maybe an appetizer. I love their Chocolate Chip cookie in a skillet for dessert. Service does vary and it depends upon the server (so that is why I gave it a 4 star and not 5 star).

  • Kristi D.

We had Christmas Eve dinner here for the 2nd year in a row and the service was terrific, handling a group of 11 people can be a challenge but she kept our drinks filled and the meal going. The food is always great, I usually have a filet with horseradish crust or the filet trio, the filet is always prepared correctly and comes with a side unlike most Chicago steakhouses. The dessert, a chocolate chip cookie skillet, was delicious. And even though we dawdled a bit they never hurried us out, I guess they must plan for that with large groups around the holidays.

I've been here a couple of times for happy hours and dinner events with coworkers. While I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Wildfire (scallops are to die for, as is the penne and roasted veggies lunch pasta dish), the management of this location will be another reason that I continue to give this restaurant my business! I planned a dinner party for our work group of about 18 people, complete with a prix fixe menu and all. However, my big mistake was confusing the Lincolnshire location with the Schaumburg location. This was horribly embarassing since a majority of our group was showing up hungry and ready to eat. The manager, Matt Bena, came to my rescue and called the Schaumburg location to get our prix fixe menu set up in their kitchens. He transitioned our dinner party plans from Schaumburg to Lincolnshire seamlessly and did a fantastic job covering up my large mistake. He was so accommodating and patient with me and I can't say enough awesome things about what he did for our group. I will certainly be back to this place, not just for the good food and great ambience, but because I have been so pleased with the service here and prefer to give business to people that are there to serve you, not just there because they have a job to do.

First time there for a combination First Communion and Confirmation dinner. .it was fabulous. Had the beef medallion trio and it knocked my socks off. We got full slab is bbq ribs double baked potato and French deep. Calamary add appetizer. The bbq ribs were overcooked and burned.Too chewy. Too dry. The French deep was overcooked as well. Not enough meet between the buns. Calamary were too grease. Double baked Pototoe. It was dried also. We did not like the whole experience with wildfire. I am just curious what is so special about this place that they are still in business... Won't go there again...... If u like good French deep, go to Jay Alexander's in Northbrook. Outstanding....

Ate here for the first time today to celebrate the graduation of my brother from recruit training at Great Lakes. The staff were very kind, offering congratulations of all sorts. My filet mignon was on the rare side of medium rare, but I like it that way. Desserts were tasty, but I think I expected decadence beyond what they offered. Not quite up to par with, say, Cheesecake Factory DESSERTS. Ambiance was awesome, and I wish there was a Wildfire in California for me to visit over and over.

I was here during lunch with a Senior Executive of a company. The New York strip steak here was decent. For $25, it's comparable with national chain steakhouses for $25 except you get half the portion here for that price. The service on the other hand was something totally different. The experience with the waitress was horrible. She was rude, mean, and nasty. I'm not sure what kind of training they go through here but it seems she had none. I was joking with her with a big smile when she said things incorrectly. She immediately did an about face and scolded me, giving me a lecture, saying that I wasn't paying attention, which was a lie. She looked like she couldn't focus at all on what they was saying or dong or had any knowledge of what she was saying for that matter. She also got the Sr. Exec's order wrong who was an older, respectful gentlemen and she never apologized for it. Instead she tried to make him look wrong. She never apologized for making a mistake or anything like that. Instead she tried to making her customers look wrong in front of everyone. She tried to make a scene. She just acted so arrogant like all her customers were below her. Last time I had service like that was at a ghetto diner some years ago. Brings back memories. :)

Went for our 4th anniversary and everything was great. We both had the medallions and they were cooked to perfection. The waitress was very understanding about our lingering over a couple of rounds of drinks and was nice enough to warn us that the medallions run out quickly. So we ordered & she reserved them until we were ready. Never felt rushed & had excellent service. Another Lettuce triumph.

I went here for lunch the other day & was very pleased. I haven't been to Wildfire in a while & it was just as delicious as the last time I had it. This restaurant is also in a great location. The bread they bring you for your table is amazing & me & my friend ate about 3 of them. Before I talk about how delicious my main course was the ambience in this restaurant was tremendous. It was lively & the restaurant was packed. Even with how packed the restaurant was me & my friend were seated with in a minute of walking in. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast & it was phenomenal. I wanted something besides a steak because I order it so often & I wasn't disappointed. Overall the service was good & our waiter was friendly. The establishment was clean & I can't wait to eat here again.

I am a Frequent Diner Club member and we tried Wildfire after a movie a few weeks ago and had a great meal. Different story tonight....first of all, they sat us in a small room where they kept bringing tables in and out...off the main floor. Apparently this is where they store things. The silver was dirty, the glasses were dirty and the gin and tonic I ordered was flat without lime. I ordered the potato crusted scallops for $26. What a travesty. 6 or 7 sad little fried scallops rolling around the plate with some soggy runny spinach on the side. The waitress was one of the worst I have ever had. Not one smile or friendly comment. She just lurked in the corner of the small room we were in and glared. My friends meals weren't as bad as mine but they were very underwhelmed. We all decided that this was one restaurant to take off our list....badly done, Wildfire, badly done.

The service, management, and food at this restaurant deserve zero stars but unfortunately that option is not available. Ordered crab cakes--which you would *think* would have crab but you'd be wrong! I have a serious shrimp allergy and I specifically asked if the crab cakes had only crab. "Oh yes", said the waiter. When the cakes arrived, I ate a bite and quickly realized it was 90% bay shrimp (nice cheap filler). When I told the waiter, he (1) argued with me and told me they were not shrimp even though you could see the shrimp and (2) when I finally MADE him check with the kitchen so I could take something for the allergy, I was told that "yes, shrimp is cheaper than crab so that's what we put in it. If you were allergic to shrimp you shouldn't have ordered the crab cake". Wow. They never apologized, never offered to take it off the bill, never offered to bring me something I could eat. My previous experience at this restaurant (not with crab cakes) was mediocre service and very blahh food. I will never ever go back to this place. If you have ANY allergies do NOT go here, they will lie to you about the contents of the food.

go big or go home...final lincolnshire dinner...wildfire steaks, chops and seafood restaurant...grand and large establishment...rustic theme...reservations made for large group business dinner...small party early and sipping cocktails in the martini lounge...private room set and ready...round of wine and cocktail orders first...great bread basket complimentary...taking time to browse the menu...chopped salad to share a delicious fresh choice...great chopped salad here...for main, going big with the savory mixed grill...filet mignon, lamb chop and pork chop trio on a platter...three small cuts to savor...each unique and cooked to request...difficulty in cooking smaller pieces and all cooked slightly more than liking, but acceptable...not dead...most enormous side of twice baked potato...big as a newborn...massive swirl of mashed potato stuffed back in to a potato half...browned crisp top delicious...only making a small dent to newborn...good meal for about $sixty total estimating per person with just a single drink...

Made a reservation for party of 7 in the morning for a busy Friday night and much to my surprise, we got a coveted private dining room! Overall food quality was above average as expected but the mussels w/butter was out of this world. When they get a fresh batch, it is to die for. Fried calamari was notable as well. The birthday girl was treated to a comp chocolate something with a candle and made her feel like a queen. Only dissapointment was when I got home, my doggie bag 1/2 slab of king cut prime rib was shortchanged of horseradish sauce and roasted veggies still on my plate, after asking the bus boy twice to include and he nodded. How can I relive this great dinner the next day with just a slab of rare naked meat? Just give me a box and I'll do it myself next time. Service by the hostess, host, and server was great.

**UPDATE** So I was contacted by someone who works at either Wildfire or the corporate HQ. Anyways, he said that he was extremely sorry for the couple of experiences I have had and gave me the number of someone to contact at the wildfire I went to. Not a couple min later, I called and talked to the GM who knew about my experience (they probably had some conversation beforehand) and was apologetic for my experience. This in itself has restored my faith in not only this restaurant but of social media as well. This is how it's supposed to work. Owners listen to the customers and try to make it right as opposed to some just discounting the feedback given as "extraneous" or "outliers". Anyways, I appreciate the gesture and am happy to have at least been heard. So Wildfire is a steakhouse is it not??!! Then why, when I order a steak medium rare, does it come out well done? This is the second time this has happened to me at this "steakhouse". Your number one priority is to ensure that the meat is cooked to the customer's desire. It's not like I ordered something that was different or extraordinary. It was a medium rare steak that came out well done. In fairness I was offered a new steak, but last time I was there and sent back a steak, it came back too rare..then had to send back again and they missed it again. So rather than play that game, I just gave up at the start. No sense at putting myself at risk.

Please makes sure to get reservations because this is a very busy location. I have a citrus allergy and the waiter was very helpful. He asked the chef what was marinated in citrus so I could chose the best option for me. Wild fire offers white and red wine flights along with a full bar. Calamari appetizer was breaded perfectly and not chewy at all. I had a teriyaki ginger salmon entree on a bed of rice. The fish was cooked medium exactly as I requested. I would return here.

Great food. Best filet mignon I've ever had... and that's not necessarily my favorite cut. It wasn't crusted or anything... just a nice sear. It was flavorful and tender. The chicken was a little dry but probably better if I ate that first. The mushroom caps were amazing too! Great wine flavor. The twice baked potato was creamy. The triple layer chocolate was moist and delicious! Went back another time and ordered the tasting of 3 petite filets with 3 different crusts... the bearnaise, horseradish, and parmesan. They were all good, but I think my favorite was the horseradish and bearnaise. The bacon wrapped scallops were good too. The scallop was cooked nicely, not over done and the bacon was still crispy. This was a bit pricey, for 3 scallops, but they were a decent size. The roasted beet and goat cheese salad was amazing too. The roasted beets were different and flavorful. The dish was fresh and it all went well together.

Decor: D- Food: C Service: C+ Another tired lunch at a tired restaurant and the waitstaff and cooks must be tired as well. The feel of the place is rundown, especially during the day. A major renovation is needed, new flooring, tables, and the like would help immensely. It also did not feel clean. A lack of basic hygiene really turns me off--by that I mean, clean bathrooms, tables, etc. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about. The salmon filet was undersized, but cooked well enough. I had creamed spinach which definitely came out of a can or jug--definitely was not freshly made. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Six orders, nothing fancy, off-menu or special--took way too long for the food to get to the table. The waitstaff did refill drinks with regularity. Honestly, I read the reviews of this place and have to wonder what is going on? Take a pass is my advice.

Went for an early New Year's Eve dinner - as always the steak was excellent. Has an amazing Martini and the service was as good as ever

the food was just okay for the price - I had the garlic shrimp and NY strip - wife had the rib eye and scallops. Not a lot of flavor and the steaks were a little over-seared (we both like medium-rare). They are priced at elite steak house level and this was a bit short of that. That being said - the service was very attentive and pleasant if a little too corporate (pushing the specials, etc). They did bring us a complimentary desert for our anniversary. I'd give them another chance - definitely good for groups as there is a ton of room.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with my experience at Wildfire. I have heard so many great things from people. My steak was kind of bland. The mashed potatos were good, but I hope I didn't go to Wildfire for those. My friend got the mushroom pork chop, that was pretty tasty. Our service was decent. I will probably try it again and hopefully I can raise my rating. But for now.....3 stars is all you are going to get!

Another Xmas Eve mishap at WildFire.. Fool me once shame on me fool me twice. We won't be back. We have been going for apx 15 years but the last 2 well lets say there won't be a next year. Last year at Schaumburg we waited well over an hour past our reservation time in a fire hazzard filled foyer/bar area with 2 young kids since we ususally go to Lincolnshire we thought ok. This year they ran out of med rare Prime Rib by 6 but instead of telling us brought out well done and THEN informed us so 1/2 our table ate and the other had to reordered and let's just say they weren't quick to get the food out. We requested that ALL the food be redone so we could eat together and though they were willing we thought that wasteful. Water Glasses we slow to refill, a request for mayo had to be asked 3x and finally I had to go to the kitchen to get. I except a resturant that has been around this long to get it right regardless of xmas eve etc.. this is what they do.. so we ate in shifts then they offered to buy us dessert and we ordered 2 ice cream sunades to share for 4 people.. They brought out 1 and the final blow was when the bill was figured wrong to the tune of $14 in their favor(and this has happened before).. From start to finish it was sloppy, and when the next batch of reordered food came out (Steaks) they were just ok not great for the prices they charge but by then 1/2 of us were done eating and the other 1/2 starving so they ate them. Wildfire you have lost a long time customer not sure what is going on but you not the Wildfire we use to love....

On this occasion, it was a business dinner. We made reservations for 6:30 and arrived about 35 minutes early. My associate and I waited in the bar until our customer arrived. The bar was very busy. Every seat at the bar was taken with people having dinner. There were also tables and booths in the bar where it was first come, first serve. Drinks were very pricey. Customer arrived on time and we were seated immediately, but were put in a booth right next to the lobby. The restaurant was crazy busy for a Monday night! We were in no hurry and decided to order an appetizer to start off dinner. Customer suggested we order the fried calimari. It was some of the best I have ever had. Calimari was tender and breading was very crisp. Soups & salads followed. We all ordered the petite filet. My fellow diners ordered the special.......petite filet and roasted scallops. Also ordered following sides...macaroni & cheese, creamed spinach and roasted butternut squash. It took much longer than expected for our entrees to arrive. Server came over an apologized twice. She even said that our meals were being plated "right now" and then another ten minutes went by. I suspect the unanticipated crowd on a Monday night caught them by surprise. Steaks were very good and cooked according to how we ordered them. Cream spinach was good. Macaroni & cheese was dry, not a cheesy saucy consistency I expected. The big disappointment was the roasted butternut squash. It was a entire half of a medium-sized squash, roasted with butter, nuts (walnuts I think) and maple glaze. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately it was undercooked. We also ordered a wonderful seasonal dessert....warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Next time I will order a steak and then skip right to dessert. I would go back, but not if I'm paying.

I recently visited Wildfire with my fiance for a nice dinner out. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was that despite our having a reservation for 2, we were seated in a corner table in a more secluded dining room the back of the restaurant with a view of the bus station. I had been here once before with a friend and with a reservation had been given a large booth in the cocktail lounge. I had hoped for at least that or a table in the main dining room with a reservation, and that such a table would be more for those who showed up without a reservation. Speaking of, I would recommend making a reservation, even on a weeknight, as this is a very popular spot in the area. As for our food, it was fantastic. We started with drinks. He had the Wildfire Manhattan and was very pleased with his choice. I had the Margarita, and it was well made, not the best I have had but then again the best I have had was at a Mexican place. For the appetizer we tried the bacon wrapped scallops. I am not normally one to eat seafood, but it was quite good, especially with the sweet and sour type of sauce it was served with. I had the petite filet mignon medium and it had a flavorful crust, plenty juicy, and very tender. He had the largest portion of the surf and turf. The steak i believe was 16 oz and the lobster tail was a generous size as well. Again, I don't generally like seafood, but the lobster was so sweet and delicious. He had the mac and cheese side (an upgraded side) and I thought it was good, but it was not very creamy, more dry. He quite liked it, so it is really a matter of preference. We ended with the desert sampler that consisted of a peanut butter chocolate pie, key lime pie, and a snickers brownie ice cream sandwich. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. He was very willing to make suggestions and knew the menu well. He was knowledgeable about spirits and everything we asked him about. We had no issues, but the table next to us that he was also serving said that their baked potato was cold. He was very polite to them, apologized, and promptly exchanged their potato for a visibly piping hot one before they had time to have more than a bite of their entrees. So we were very pleased with the quality of the service. Overall this is a place suited well for an adult evening out. Perfect for date night. There were a few parties there with young children, not exactly a place we had expected to see children at, but considering the environment their parents kept them well behaved. This is also probably not the best place to go if you are vegetarian, I mean it is a steakhouse after all, but I am sure there will be someone complaining about there not being vegetarian options other than pizza and salad. In any case, this is one of the best restaurants that we have tried in the area and will be sure to return.

Someone is going to hunt me down and demand my first born, but Wildfire doesn't get my vote. I went for a late lunch around the holidays and despite how nice the server was, they just weren't around enough to handle our table. We waited too long for refills, too long to place our order, and wayyyyy too long to pay. I had to get back to work! Other times I've been there I went for work (who paid) and I wasn't all too impressed.

I love the food and menu at Wildfire, and obviously so do many others, as it is always packed. This review is about everything except the food, however. Our party of nine arrived last night and our table was ready when we arrived. We ordered drinks and their salad to start. Shortly after the drinks arrived, one of our party became very ill. I jumped up and went to the hostess desk which was very close by, and told them we needed medical help and asked them to call 911. They were very calm and organized. While one manager (?) called 911 and stayed on the line while awaiting the ambulance, another directed a clean-up of out table. My wife and I left to follow our friend's wife to the hospital, while the rest of our party stayed for dinner. I left money with one to pay for my wife's and my drinks. He emailed me this morning that Wildfire did not charge for our drinks. Kudo's to a place that always has great food for handling this stressful situation in such a caring and competent manner. Our friend is doing fine.

Ordered the filet medallions--got two Parmesan and 1 loaded baked potato. Both were outstanding! The steak itself melted in my mouth and the flavors were phenomenal. Side was roasted red mashed potatoes, which were very delicious; buttery and not dry. Dessert was also outstanding. Get the Key Lime Pie or the cheesecake! Highly recommend everything on the menu.

Dreams of apple martinis float in my head when I know I am going to eat dinner here. I am normally not a fan of chain restaurants, but this is one I am more than happy to make an exception for. I have eaten in both the bar and the restaurant and there is zero difference in the quality of food and service. One of the favorites amongst the groups I've gone to dinner with is the filet trio with differnt "crusts". They know how to cook a steak here, for sure. One of my personal favorites (other than the martini, wink) is the beet salad with chevre...my, oh my, is it delish! I've also had some of their specials, which rotate regularly and can include beef or seafood, and they have all been spot on. They also have this ice cream cookie dessert that is to die for. Don't mistake this for those frozen concoctions in the store - I don't even like ice cream and this is like a little slice of heaven...rich and easily shared. They also accomodated a gluten free request in our party and trust me, they take that request seriously. All GF orders are approved by the manager. HIghly recommend!!

3 stars for what should be a 4-to-5-star lunch experience. A group of us do a monthly lunch here, and I've been consistently underwhelmed the last few visits, specifically: slow service and sub-par salad ingredients. Today's server did better than our last visit, when our lunch took 2.5 hour with multiple apologies, and eventually free dessert (which helped lessen the sour experience). But I remain unimpressed with the wilted lettuce and overripe tomatoes. I'd be fine with them if they were in a dollar side salad at Wendy's; I expect better from a restaurant of this reputation. Still, I'll be back for a martini flight sometime in the near future, and probably for lunch again next month. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE: I was phoned by the owner of Wild Fire and we talked. I thanked him for his attention to this matter. I could tell by his tone that he was truly sincere and sorry for our bad experience. In my experience there are poor owners and very good owners. This man is the "real deal". It is very difficult to find help that will treat your business like their own. Risking millions in investment and then having managers treating the customer in a 2nd rate manner. On 4/17 or 4/18 We made reservations and had dinner here. The calamari was ok but was a little clumpy and soggy. Either the oil wasn't hot enough or it needed to fry longer, and the calamari needed separation while it was cooking. To eat our appetizers I took 2 plates from the stack of 4 on the table. A few bites into it I noticed the remaining plate had some green, slimy sticky stuff on it. YUCK!! It was also under my plate since it was on top of the funky plate. I called our waitress (who was wonderful) and showed her. You could tell she was very embarrassed and said she would inform her manager. To say the least, I couldn't enjoy the rest of the meal. Even after the manager came to the table and apologized for their oversight. He explained the dishwasher procedures and sanitary precautions etc and said he knows what that stuff was. He said it was from a party earlier and it was cake frosting. I'm thinking they took a stack of plates they "thought" was clean and recycled them. hmmmm. He said the appetizer were on the house. Thanks??? If I found a roach I would know what I'm dealing with. This green stuff, I had to take the word of the manager. Now you can see why my stomach didn't feel well for the rest of the evening and as I write this story I still feel weird. When we got check, our waitress said the small dessert was also "on the house". ok?? I was still thinking if it was a roach the dinner would have been free?? But then con artists use roaches to get free dinner so there could be doubt if it was the restaurants fault. But this is something he knew about and couldn't be a con. Ok, now we gave them a $50 gift card and another card. The waitress came back with a charge slip for .02 cents. Simple math said it should have been over $6 so I brought this to the attention of the "same" manager and he corrected it. He knew I wasn't happy and I brought this error to his attention and I guess Their error and my honesty still had to pay the extra $6. Didn't know you could charge a card .02 cents. Of course we tipped the waitress 18% of the prediscounted amount and left. We don't go out to wild fire often but when we do it's usually for a special occasion. Not anymore. Even if we get a gift card. I will re-gift the gift card instead.

Awesome steakhouse! Our prime rib was perfectly cooked and the seafood bisque was awesome. I will admit there were only tiny bits of seafood in it, but that was ok with me since I don't like huge chunks of it anyways. I tasted the Wildfire chopped salad and it was great- had a slightly Mexican feel to it. And I love that the desserts are all reasonable portions- not huge platters of sweets after an already heavy meal.

Excellent meal. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Halibut melted in your mouth. We were in North Chicago for our son's Navy graduation. Highly recommend. The staff went out of its way to congratulate our son.

I like this neighborhood vibe - sat at the bar and could really tell there were regulars around here, mixed in with a sprinkling of IT professionals, consultants, and developers. The bartender is really nice, with a very mid-west attitude. On a regular Tuesday at 7pm, this place was BUSY. There was actually a line! Odd to find a restaurant, next to a movie theater and Big Bowl to have a wait on a weekday. To make things more strange, they have a shared valet between them and Big Bowl even though they have a parking lot that is right around back. So the food....It's like Outback but with slightly better quality meat! I felt my rib eye was overcooked but the chipotle side was interesting, and the corn was fresh (none of that frozen stuff). The au gratin potatoes were deliciously unhealthy and creamy. Just the way I like em. I had the Goose Island beer marinated mussel appetizer also, and they were very very tasty. The only downfall was that I felt the mussels, while generously portioned, were a bit unfresh. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the cherry pie and the fillet mignon!

I have been working in the area for 6 years and this was my first time in. I wish I had gone in sooner. Awesome food and super friendly service. A bit on the pricey side but it is worth it. Lunch comes with endless home made cornbread. Great food. They have wi-fi but you have to ask for the security key to access it.

This place is a top-notch, classy joint that I like going to with my parents since they pay and it is no cheap meal! I like meat, but the highlights at Wildfire that stick out in my mind are the chopped salad and the wine flight. The chopped salad is enormous, and great to share as a starter. We went there recently and just carried out salads! Yum! Also, I love the wine flights here. They are priced VERY reasonably, and you feel like you are getting a LOT to drink :) That makes me happy. The service there is excellent, and it is a great place to bring a business colleague, your family, or a date!

Okay, so I wanted to write a positive reviews for Wildfire, but after 3 visits and 3 issues, it's averaging to a 3 star review. The first time, I called to ask about gluten-free options for my son because I had just received an email about their U of Chicago collaboration. The girl that answered the phone told me I can order a steak. I told her my son was 6, and he will not be eating a steak. She told me that they don't really do kids gluten-free meals. I emailed them to complain about the lack of gluten-free options for kids, despite them advertising that they had a wide variety of gluten-free options. The manager called me back promptly and said they had gluten-free options for kids, but the receptionist was not well-versed in them. Ok, hopefully they train their staff better. I ordered without any further issues. Gluten-free cheese pizza for my son was well-received. My steak salad was tasty. Small hiccup, but resolved. The second time, I called on a random non-Saturday night for carryout. I was told that the earliest time slot available was HOURS after my initial call. I believe I had called around 5 pm and was told nothing was open until after 7:30 pm. Seems a bit absurd that the kitchen could take that long to prepare a simple gluten-free pizza and steak salad. I had them ask a manager for an earlier time slot since my son's bedtime was 8 pm, but was turned down. And while I was waiting, the 7:30 pm slot was taken by someone else and was offered 8:00 pm. What??? So the manager did me a "favor" by giving me 7:30 pm back. Um. Great. Then my son kept asking me where's dinner, so I got there at 7:00 pm hoping that the food could come out a little earlier. The parking lot was half empty, there was no one else waiting for take out, but somehow they were too swamped to handle takeout orders in a timely fashion? Well, as I was waiting there, it turns out that they don't even submit the order until 15 minutes before your scheduled time! Mine was submitted at 7:15 pm because I saw them type my order in! So the kitchen obviously can handle the volume if they can make it in 15 minutes! So I waited there for the full time, while they were half dead in the restaurant. Nice "customer service". The manager was unapologetic and said "We are the busiest restaurant in the country." Basically telling me it was a privilege to hand them my money. I got my food and left. Again, I emailed them about the problem. The general manager apologized and said he would be sending me a gift certificate for my troubles. It never showed up. I had to call months later to corporate to get it re-issued. (Apparently this was a post-office issue though...) Then the third time, we went in to dine in the restaurant to use the gift card. Made reservations for 7:15 pm, but didn't get seated until 7:30. The waitress dropped off a basket of bread (which my son and fiance can't eat since they are gluten-free) and said "I'll be right with you." HALF AN HOUR LATER she comes by to take our drink orders. I told her that we needed gluten-free bread. It doesn't come out until I asked for it again 15 minutes later. When we ordered our food, one of the items didn't come out and she said it would be coming shortly. We are halfway done with our food, and we asked about the missing item. She said she'd check on it, and it still never came out. We ended up finishing our meal and asked for the item to be packed to go. I cannot understand why everyone that works at this restaurant are so incompetent and completely clueless about good and proper customer service. With the service being so bad, I don't even remember if the food was any good. And the fact that we didn't even get to eat one of the items was completely ridiculous. So all in all I'd give Wildfire 1 star for customer service (and that's only because their general manager is the only one that cares about its customers), and 5 stars for food and selection of gluten-free options, which averages out to the 3 stars. I'd probably end up going there more often for take-out or dining in if they replaced all their staff with robots. Or at least allow people to order online and prepay so you can avoid their staff altogether. Until something happens to improve the issues, I rather make the drive up to Biaggi's in Deer Park or even Pinstripes in Northbrook to get decent gluten-free meals without the attitude from the staff at Wildfire.

I love this place! Would have given it 5 stars if there was not always such a wait to get a table, but not much they can do about that. Best prime rib in the area!

I recently celebrated my birthday at your Wildfire restaurant in Lincolnshire, IL. I typically dine here at least 4 times a year as my family lives close by. The most recent experience would really change my mind about coming back. I made a reservation on Open Table for 7pm for 6 people. This was fine- but then I called to let the hostess know that my grandfather is handicapped with crutches and if it was possible to please put us in an easily accessible location. The woman I spoke to seemed not to get what I was saying at first. I repeated myself and she finally said she understood. My boyfriend and I arrived 20 minutes early and decided to have a drink. The interaction with the bartender set the whole tone of the night. We ordered a drink each (both beers), the bartender poured the beers, and then slammed them down in front of us with no regard to the sopping wet glasses. I was wearing white shorts to dinner and the second I picked up my beverage to take a sip I was covered in beer. I had to wipe down everything before I could drink any more. While we were sitting at the bar a man who must be a regular walked in and sat down. Once this man sat down I felt absolutely neglected. We would have ordered another round but could not due to the fact that we were being ignored. The rest of our party arrived and we were led to our table. I was extremely unhappy with the ease of location for my handicapped Grandfather. We were seated down the ramp, and in the middle of 6 tables. It was very narrow and difficult to get to. Our table was clearly not set up for 6, only 4. We were missing chairs as well as place settings and the hostess seemed to run away before we could point out that we did not have sufficient seating. Finally we flagged down a busboy and he was very helpful and brought the additional chairs right away. Fortunately our waitress was a breath of fresh air. She was wonderful, full of energy and patient. I wish I remembered her name, but she was a brunette woman probably in her 30s. Kudos to her and her service. All in all this was probably the worst service I have ever received at a Wildfire minus our server. The bartender was awful, hurried and short in his tone and the hostesses were more interested in themselves then helping the guests. It will be a long time before I return to this location- and I will not be recommending it to anyone anytime soon.

I don't see where all the negative reviews come from. We came here on Valentine's weekend and ordered the couples special. The food - from appetizers to dessert - is fantastic. Yes, there was a minor hiccup when we first arrived, but manager Anthony and our server made it right many times over. Speaking of our server, she was attentive without being intrusive, and I really love that!

Took my wife and daughter here last night and we had a great time. I really liked the ambiance and decor -- especially the music they played in the background. One big plus: I like my steak rare. This was one of the first restaurants I've been to that actually knows how to properly prepare a steak "rare". Although I did not have any, I did notice that Wildfire has a great wine selection.
