Naf Naf is not for me. Let me preface this by saying that in general, Mediterranean food is not usually my first pick. However, I'm a BIG fan of Firewood Kabob and I won't usually turn down Roti. I visited Naf Naf for lunch with coworkers. Following their lead, I got a rice bowl with chicken schwarma and picked all the "usual" ingredients I get from other Mediterranean restaurants. It was a safe order for me - something that sounded and looked familiar. I'm not a very picky eater, but I didn't want to finish my lunch. There was nothing great about it, and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. However, I will say that the pita was outstanding. If I go there again with coworkers, I might get like five pitas and maybe a little hummus. Now that I think about it, I might have to try that and update my review after doing so...

The only thing I can do fairly here in my opinion is to compare Naf Naf to Roti. Honestly, I love them both but each does certain things better than the other. Since I am reviewing Naf Naf, I will say outright that I like their hot sauce a lot better. It's green and hot and flavorful And, if I wasn't trying to cut down on carbs I would probably like their pita better. But I am and their enormous pita, while tempting, is too much. I like that Roti differentiates the size of the pita depending on whether you order a sandwich or a rice plate or salad. Plus I enjoy the Israeli salad here better, but both are good. The reason Roti wins overall is that they offer more than shawarma and falafel as entree proteins. Plus they offer more variety in sides. Regardless, this is a very decent place to have a meal.

The place was so so. Nothing terrible, but nothing was outstanding. Like a Lebanese chipotle. Was not a huge fan of the naf naf fries. A bit over priced for the quality.

The pillow pita bread was pretty good, as I've read on most of the reviews. And, I've only tried the one in Lincolnshire commons...so, maybe it's just this location. But the Steak Shwarma was awefull. Shwarma should be a little dry and the flavor should stand up on it's own. The texture of the meat within the pita is as important as the flavor. Naf Naf doesn't get this, or prepares their shwarma properly at this location. The hummus was way too creamy and fell flat on flavor. Sabra lovers? Come hither! Real hummus fans...pita inn is still the place my friends. Didn't try the falafel. The sandwich combo was too expensive on it's own. Plus, it features basically only falafel and shwarma...so, it all should rock right? Not here at Naf naf. I say avoid it, and go to Pita Inn for your quick Mediterranean fix.

Pita was super fresh. Plenty of vegetarian options. I ordered on line. I walked in three minutes before order was ready. I was immediately greeted by two friendly and enthusiastic employees. First time patron. Food was fast, healthy and delicious. Nice clean crisp atmosphere. I have added naf naf to my favorite restaurant list.

I wanted to love it, but it was nothing to write home about. I had a pita, with hummus, tahini, chicken, salad, and pickles. When i got my pita pocket it looked fairly empty and okay fine I know I cant eat a huge filled pita so I'm okay with half filled, but I know many guys would complain that it's not enough food. When I looked into the pita I couldn't find the chicken or the pickles, all I saw was salad.... I actually had to look for both ingredients inside. I found a little bit of chicken, but still no pickles.... hmmmmm The flavors were good, fresh, but I can't say that I was oooing and aaaing when I was eating it. Maybe I'm just biased because I've had authentic shawarma in Israel and other places in Chicago. So for an average joe I think this place may be delicious, but if you want the real thing, go to Mizrahi Grill in Highland Park.

This is good, the food is pretty clean and i usually get the chicken shwarma de-constructed. But their chips is soggy at times, or not fully cooked. The only thing i dont like about this location is that there is no parking space if you go there for lunch on a Friday, since there is a Starbucks and Chipotle and a LA fitness in the same parking lot.

I love Naf Nafs! At first you think a chipotle version of a mediterranean restaurant would not have much potential. WRONG! Some of The best pitas I've had were at naf naf. The israeli salad here is to die for, I love the sauce in the salad, it is so refreshing and light. I can eat that all day. $6.50 for a falafal sandwich, and it is enough for a whole meal. The servers here are nice. Clean interior. Not an extensive menu, but it is not necessary to have a million items, when all the items are equally satisfying and good. It's about food made with thoughts, not quantity of options.

I didn't think I'd like this place ('make it a meal' with chips just doesn't sound very Mediterranean to me), but I love it. Even the things that go into the shawarma pita were odd (hummus or baba ghanoush - not both; cabbage; onions...), but both the chicken and steak shawarma's were great with just hummus, chopped salad and tahini sauce. Super fresh pitas and the spices they use make it great. A few falafel on the side round it off - best falafel I've found in the several Mediterranean places I frequent.

Naf Naf is No No for me I was not that impressed with this place. The food was underwhelming and it didn't really fill my craving for something Mediterranean. In my opinion I will stick with my favorite, Firewood Kabob yelp.com/biz/firewood-ka… . My wife and I were going to go out for a Friday night dinner and I suggested Pit Inn because it's one of her favorites. She even received ROTD for her review of them yelp.com/biz/pita-inn-mu… . She was able to talk me into going to Naf Naf Grill which I agreed and wanted to try. I should have gotten the hint when I couldn't check in here because the location on yelp is off 1.7 miles which I corrected on yelp. As we ordered our food, I followed my wife's lead as she has been to another Naf Naf before. We both ordered a bowl of beef with rice and a chopped salad. I just felt that the food was just okay at best. The only shining star being the pita bread. Naf Naf is just not for me.
(3)Carrie Z.
I love the chicken shwarma rice bowl with hummus, pickles, chopped salad and tahini sauce. Enjoy it guilt free!

Really didn't expect much from what I assumed was a simple fast food Mediterranean place. Both my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised. I had the best falafel sandwich I ever had. Everything tasted fresh, crisp and delicious. I had it with humus, tahini sauce, lettuce, onion and pickle. Yum. Really a great pita too. My wife had the beef shawarma salad bowl. She loved it. The lentil soup was also very good. The earlier reviews set my expectations low, but I really liked it. Overall a big yum. We'll be back.

So I have been anticipating Naf Naf grill. Tried the falafel sandwich. The pita bread is made there and was warm and great to bite into. Falafel was good a little on the small side. Wasn't crazy for the sides they fill it with. Left still feeling hungry. Left feeling unsatisfied. Added salt but flavor was flat they put hot sauce on the top. Would prefer to distribute sauce my self. To be fair I may come back and give it a try, especially since it's close to work.

My very first impression of this place is that it reminds me of a Mediterranean version of chipotle. Instead of tacos and burritos, you can choose between pitas filled with chicken or steak shawarma or falafel. Or you can choose a rice bowl or salad bowl. Overall, the food was good. It tasted fresh and the pitas are made fresh daily. I would come back again for the lentil soup. My husband also really enjoyed his pita. If you want to know about the hummus, it's good, but not nearly as good as pita inn. Overall, a nice place, but it wasn't anything special to rave about.

We were looking for an alternative to Pita Inn and thought we'd give Naf Naf a try last night. So glad we did! The pita was outstanding- fresh, warm, and delicious! The felafel balls were a little on the mushy side, but tasty. I also had the Israeli salad inside the pita, with hummus, and tahini. VERY good! When I asked for the chips in the sandwich, the employee looked at me and said he'd have to ask the manager. So I told him to forget it. My hubby got the chips on the side (which were hot and greasy and GOOD!) and I stuffed some into my sandwich. Outstanding! The manager came over to our table after the meal to ask how it was, and we said "GREAT!" But then I said, "If I could make just one suggestion... offer the chips as a choice for felafel sandwich toppings, PLEASE!!" He said, "Oh yah, I heard that's how the Israelis do it." Yes sir, that is correct. All in all, I thought it was better than Pita Inn... and we'll be back for sure! I would have given the full 5 stars if we could have had the chips as a topping IN the sandwich rather than having to get them on the side and put them in ourselves. ;)

I'm on the fence between a 3 and a 4 here. My issue is I don't like this Naf Naf location as well as others. Has anyone else noticed the menu and the toppings are slightly different depending on which one you go to? I don't like that! But, for the good, the pita here are AMAZING. So good. And overall, the chicken shwarma sandwich is really delicious. But, I like the salad toppings at the other locations better. There was just something off here. The atmosphere is a little overly sleek/stark for me. Not very welcoming.

I absolutely love this place it's become my favorite place to have lunch. I always get the hummus bowl with falafel and the garlic sauce and its divine. Also shoutout to the one employee who always has a smile on his face and is very polite and nice with the customers definitely sets a happy environment while eating.
(5)Justin R.
This place is a must visit whenever we visit Chicago area. Delicious! I look forward to this place expanding nation wide and I can Naf Naf whenever I want. Go with baba or hummus in the pita and don't skip the fries.
(5)Natalie C.
So I finally tried this place and I was super excited to try it it wasnt great but it wasnt bad. I got the rice bowl with the beef and topped it with green cabage salad and onions finished it off with some tahini sauce and requested a side of it as well. The staff was super nice but the food was bland ... maybe I caught them on a bad day. I will try them again and hopefully it will be better.

Okay, so my friends have been telling me about Naf Naf for quite some time so I was really happy that they finally came to Lincolnshire since I'm always in that area. I came for the grand opening day and even had a free chicken schwarma sandwich which was a nice way of getting people in the place. This place does not sell the kabobs which I know some other Naf Naf's do have. Not a deal breaker for me. When coming here, I usually order the rice bowl with chicken schwarma because although everyone loves the pita here, it's a little too soft for me as I prefer my pita to be on the crispier side. So I get my bowl either salad or rice and top it with the tender chicken meat, the israeli like salad, the cabbage salad and a bunch of pickles for extra flavor. Oh yes, I always get the tahini sauce or the hummus as well for extra flavor. It's not the best chicken schwarma I've ever had but it does satisfy those cravings sometimes. What I do absolutely love here are their falafel balls and for .50 cents a piece, how can you not. I usually get about 4 extras in my salad bowl since they are super yummy and closest to the ones we have at Rezas in Chicago. Getting those balls here and not having to drive to Chicago makes it nice. I also absolutely love their Naf Naf fries, they are crispy and also a must here, now those I dip into ketchup since I'm old school like that and I think a serving is like $2.50 for those and you get a decent amount. Forget McDonalds fries, once you have these, you will never go back to anything else. So overall, they have a nice casual atmosphere, I try to avoid the lunch hours here because all the businesses around here come in and the line can be out the door but if you come in later in the afternoon or for an early dinner expect to order your food and be out quickly. If you want to sit in, you can also do that but their chairs are a little hard and I wish they had booths, but also not a deal breaker. I'm glad they are here to spice up my normal Chipotle and Pot Belly routine with some yummy Mediterranean food. I haven't had their desserts but my friends tell me they are also tasty. Oh and the steak schwarma is a little on the chewy side so if meat is your thing, I would definitely stay with chicken.

My wife and I had lunch at Naf Naf, we both had falafel on pita. I had their lentil soup as part of the combo. I found the soup to be lacking in flavor and somewhat thin. My only complaint about the pita is that it tasted as if it were not fully baked. Pita bread is usually crisp, their's was soft. I believe Pita Inn makes a better falafel, I will try Naf Naf again.

Im always looking for a good place to grab a quick meal, and this place definitely fit the bill! Naf Naf Grill in Lincolnshire opened less than a week ago, and I have already been a couple times. The restaurant is very fast casual similar to Chipotle. Location & Ambiance: Its located in a very busy and popular food area, and once again has a very fast causal ambiance. Food: The food is great! I really liked the Chicken Shwarma rice bowl! The nice thing about the Chipotle style business model is you should be able to find a meal you like. Staff: The staff was very nice, and knowledgeable which was good to see especially due to the restaurant being so new. Overall, I highly recommend you grab some food from Naf Naf Grill in lincolnshire. The price is good, the food is full of flavor, and overall its delicious!

This is the arabic Chipotle. Humus is yummy, even after weeks in the fridge. Bread is fresh and warm. My favorite is the chicken wrap.
(5)Steven M.
This place looks just like a Chipitle, down to the tables, layout, and physical menu design. The food here is just great. Be mindful that their main items are schwarama - not a full restaurant menu. Nevertheless, their food is delicious, especially the Hummos Bowl. They are always packed!
(5)Dave S.
Naf naf does everything right with a simple straight forward menu. The pitas are so fresh and really make this one of my favorite quick bites in the area.
(5)Will R.
Steak pita was really good. Nice portions. Moving through the line is slow. Price is in the standard range for lunch in the area. Décor is basic. Nothing special. Meant for people to get in and out during lunch time.
(3)Jenny Z.
This place was underwhelming. Designed like a Mediterranean chipotle and slightly more expensive than chipotle but nowhere near as filling. there aren't too many choices on the menu. I'm gonna have to stick to pita inn which is tastier and cheaper and offers more variety! Stars given is for the friendly welcoming staff. I hope they improve their menu!
(2)mike s.
@drew w. Lets see you have not been there? But you make a comparison? How? I've been to both and hands down Naf Naf is better! Quality, taste and value Its review's like yours that have no value!
(4)Todd S.
The food tastes good (think of a fast-food version of Pita Inn, but with some different spins on flavoring). But WOW are the portion sizes too small! You will leave still feeling hungry (and you will have paid for a full dinner). As such it is not worth coming in unless you need a snack. Given that the costs are about the same as the Mount Prospect restaurant, it will be an expensive snack. Make the trek out to Mount Prospect if you need Naf Naf food ... it will be worth it over the Lincolnshire restaurant.
(2)Igor C.
Had the chicken shawarma in a pita with hot sauce and an order of fries. The fries are not my thing, sort of like waffle fries. The chicken in a pita was very good. I'll try it again.
(4)Dan W.
Friendly service, delicious food. The Chipotle of Mediterranean food, they do one thing and they do it really really well.
(5)Melissa L.
Everything is amazing especially their hummas!!!! I am a hummas snob and I must say that they have the best hummas. It is very fresh and delicious. The best part is you can buy the hummas to take home! :) Can't wait to go back!!
(5)Shaun H.
This place is sooooo good. I especially love the bowls with rice, your choice of shwarma, and toppings. I recommend going crazy and getting all 3 sauces (with the hot on the side since it is crazy spicy). Plus, the bowl comes with a fresh pita if you still want to make some of it into a sandwich. For fast mediterranean food, I thought were were lucky enough to have Roti in the area. Now we have 2 great options!
(5)Lo C.
This place is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. It was fast, pretty reasonable for lunch in the areas, and clean. The pita was definitely the highlight, but the lentil soup was a little bit too salty. The portion sizes are average, if a little small.
(4)Mark M.
For fast food this place is fantastic. Everything was fresh and I didn't have a heavy grease stomach like other fast food restaurants can give you. I had a rice bowl with chicken, hummus and tahini. The flavors combined perfectly. Definitely going back here!
(4)AJ H.
I'm a big fan of Naf Naf and think their pita and hot sauce are sensational. I also like that they indicate which items are vegetarian on their menu--this makes it so easy to order. I've had the falafel pita and rice at this location, and both were great. My only issue was that both times I had the falafel pita, it fell apart because of the way the employee cut it/filled it. I also got flack for asking for extra hot sauce. Service is also a bit slow in this location, but hopefully that will improve.
