Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was at this location only once, but like many other locations, they offered the same menu, which I do like. Grilled meats, veggies, and brown rice for the health conscious make this brand one I frequent. Service at this location was friendly and helpful when, after eating, I wanted my order wrapped up to take home. This location's back faces Milwaukee, so you have to enter this strip from a driveway on Milwaukee avenue. While I'm no vegetarian, their spicy shredded tofu is a delicious meat alternative. I'll be back!

I work nearby so I come here every so often and leave with a great experience and a happy belly! :) They are always generous with filling up my bowl! They once gave me a coupon for a buy one get one. Sweet deal! I took the advantage to sit outside today. During lunch time, their outside is under a shade, which is perfect! They are also a floor up so all the cars are not passing by next to you.

Ugh- employees only enjoy each other, they act as if it is a bother to make your bowl.....and don't expect to be full, maybe you get a half a bowl- stingiest Chipolte I have been to, I at least, expect rice to cover the bottom of the bowl- it took 2 asks to get the bottom covered in rice. Chipolte rice is your cheapest ingredient- why do I have to beg for it. No lemons ever at the silverware bar, and they had enough nerve to tell my son he took too many napkins. It was like 6 napkins and he was sneezing. Do you want a 5 year old sneezing all over your restaurant? I don't know if the employees get to keep leftovers or something- but the food is so sparse I can only assume there is some re-distribution happening. We now drive to Vernon Hills to get our Chipolte from happy employees, and get the food we have come to expect from Chipolte.

No smiling faces here ... Don't expect to be greeted either. Placed my order witch was a burrito. Asked them to please cut it in half and you think I asked them to preform a miracle. They then grab a plastic knife and try to cut it in half. Really I could of done that ... Then they gave it to me. I asked for Ice Tea and they told me it will take 10 minutes ... Come On People. Could not find a clean table. After cleaning my own table I told my son to tell one of the works they may want to clean some tables. He then swear ... Oh that was nice. This is the worst experience I have had.

Had to laugh when the guy in front of me did exactly what I was thinking of doing...asking for a little more meat... Chipolte has gotten pretty darn stingy with the meat... And when I order a $7 burrito, I expect a little shredded pork doggonit! So, naturally, the employee said 'Nope, I'd have to charge you more'. This is kinda lame because there aren't proportions or scoops, it's totally subjective to the person you get. I'm thinking I need to quit this joint...

I'm always disappointed with this location. Between work and school, ordering online for pickup is a great option, but it's only been ready once at the promised time. And that one time it was ready, my food was so soggy that the bag ripped through in the car. When I opened the foil, my tacos were swimming and cold. Nothing is worse than paying for soggy cold tacos that you can't even pick up. When it isn't ready, I've tried to talk to the staff that this is a very common and frustrating problem. They make it even more frustrating when they just giggle, whisper and avoid eye contact. Maybe it's ok if you're dining in, but the more I read about this company, I realize it's just another typical fast food chain to avoid.

Like most Chipotle locations you end up having some language barrier issues at the counter. Not sure why every fast food chain has a standard for fluency in English, except for this one. Anyway, this location has a posted children's menu, which makes it easy to order for kids. They also have a 4square check in special for a free order of chips/salsa. Overall another std Chipotle experience, which is pretty darn good.

I love Chipotle and was so excited when one came to my town of Libertyville. However, they really skimp on the ingredients going into the burrito bowl. I also agree with a recent review that the Vernon hills location is so much better. The burrito bowl does not seem as flavorful regardless that they skimp on portions.

Low ratings...Chipotle is the best thing to happen to Libertyville since Firkin! Fresh, fast, fresh and fast. Quick place to get high quality Mexican fix at a solid price. Love it!

Online orders are broken. BROKEN.

I only go here because it's a little closer from where I live. Anyways, after 4 times and receiving awful service...I'm done and I'll drive that extra 2 miles to the other Vernon hills location. First off, no matter when I go..my burrito is..wet! Weird right? When they place the chicken in..it's still soaking wet with water. The employees do not know how to work quicker. It isn't hard to scoop and drop things onto a tortilla. Even when there's no line it takes like 5 minutes to check out. Then, to make matters worse...the employees don't know how to wrap the burritos, which in my opinion is important. I've had to turn my burrito into a borrito bowl everytime I go. Also, twice I received not only a WET burrito, but a cold one too... Gross.

Tonight was my first visit to the Libertyville Chipotle and everything was great! Their staff was super friendly, everything was very clean and my burrito was amazing! It was STUFFED o the brim, in fact I was incredibly impressed that they were able to roll it closed at all (and it was vegetarian too!)! Their manager was right there checking on my experience. I will definitely be back!

This place is terrible. I've ordered online (for 'speedy pickup') 3 times. Every time it has been wrong. This is the story of the latest (and greatest!) mega fail from your neighborhood Chipotle. I got off of work at 615 PM, and called my wife to ask if she would like for me to pick up dinner. She had the idea of getting Chipotle. I was hesitant at first, (mostly because of past fails at this Libertyville Location) but I thought 'Sure! Let's have a burrito.' I placed my order on the Chipotle App for iPhone at 620 PM. My order was finished, and I was given the time to pick up my order was 640 PM. Perfect timing, because I work 30 minutes away from my humble abode, and I can get to Chipotle in 20 minutes. I arrive at Chipotle at 640 exactly. I walk in and tell the teenager I'm here to pick up an online order. He asks my name and I tell him, 'It's Derek'. He tells the 4 employees that are working 'Online Order Pickup for Derek'. He tells me to go to the end of the counter and pay. I paid with my debit card and the girl behind the counter gave me (what I thought was) my bag. I return to my car and finish my trip home. Upon arriving home I pull the burritos out of the bag, and to my surprise the burrito has the words 'DINGLE BERRY' scrawled on it in Sharpie. Way to keep classy Chipotle. I call the restaurant, and have the pleasure of dealing with who I can only assume is 'The Manager'. His voice is reminiscent of the grownups on the Charlie Brown Holiday Specials. I tell him that I've received the wrong order. He tells me, 'WAH-WHA, WHAH WHA WHA. Bring it back.' He then hangs up on me mid response. Again - Chipotle keeps it classy. Just what I want to do. Get back in my car, drive back to Chipotle and receive my correct burritos (without the words describing a delinquent partial turn which grasps anal shrubery caushing brownish crust to accumulate in ones boxers written on it). Alas, I start the journey back. Once I arrive I take out the Dingle Berry Burrito and place it on the counter. I tell the gentleman working there that I'm pretty sure this isn't how you spell my name. He laughs and says "Yeah...." The Charlie Brown Teacher Manager then comes out and says "WHA WAH SORRY". They then hand me another bag, and I ask them what it contained. They told me (1) chicken burrito and (1) barbacoa burrito. Fasten your seat belts - this is incorrect AGAIN. I ask the idiot behind the counter "Would this be easier if I start at the beginning of the line and walk you through my burrito orders?" THEY TELL ME YES. Oh how over joyed I am. I start at the top of the line (now wasted well over a half hour of my time ORDERING TWO BURRITOS), and make sure that my burritos are correct. My burritos are bagged for me and the manager says, "Can I make you another burrito on the house?" Are you on drugs? I can barely finish one of your behemoth burritos. What am I going to do with another one? A doorstop? A tool for bludgeoning? This Chipotle is run by numbskulls. The people there don't care about anything. I mean I just spent 20 dollars on (2) burritos - the least you could do is get my order correct. WOW DREAM BIG. Thank you Chipotle of Libertyville - what's that sound? Oh it's you being destroyed on Yelp.

Awesome food and awesome service. Food always tastes good. Burritos are always made right. The staff is awesome. This is my favorite Chipotle!

Great food, great service, I've never had a problem here and go once a week. The young girl with the piercings is always incredibly friendly, she is also now the manager there.

My first visit to Chipotle in 10 years was the Libertyville location a couple of weeks ago. The food was as good as I remember, but better yet was the consideration from the staff. First, it had been so long since I'd been to a Chipotle I was bit of a bumbling idiot, not sure which side to start ordering from, what was on the menu and etc. Second, ordering the salad bowl to go, I was a typical difficult customer asking for a number of items be put on the side since I didn't want them to get soggy (e.g., lettuce) on the drive home. The staff was extremely patient and when I got to the cash register I was told that dinner was on Chipotle since it had been so long since I last visited the chain. Did they feel sorry for the confused middle-aged woman? Probably. But they didn't have to be so patient and kind. Nowadays, there isn't much kindness and empathy. This one act of kindness has endeared this location to me. I will be back.

I LOVE, LOVE Chipotle!!! Except for their Libertyville location, it's a joke how little food they give you in a bowl compare to other locations. I was thrilled when I learned Libertyville was getting a Chipotle, and the first couple of times I went there was just like all the other locations, but now it's pretty pathetic the amount of ingredients they give you. I walked-in this past Sunday and order 2 bowls, one with just white rice and the other with both rice, the girl literally pour 1 scoop of rice in the middle of the bowl, I gave her my "really" face, then asked her to just charge me extra for a double portion cause the 1 scoop was not even enough to cover the bottom of the bowl. I didn't bother asking for double meat since I was already pissed off at the lack of ingredients I was getting. I should have listen to my brother and just have just driven to the Vernon Hills location, the amount of stuff I got at Libertyville is half of the stuff I get at the VH location.

I love Chipotle, but not this location. The staff do not understand or speak English well. The staff does not like serving. The manager needs to replace the personnel with individuals who enjoy their work and enjoy interacting with the customers.
