Forget J's Peapod or any other Chinese place within ten miles of here, this is the best place to go for any Chinese dish you could ask for. It is carry out only but other than that I've had no complaints about the place for the ten-plus years I've been going there.

The best Chinese food in the area...makes j's peapod seem like a panda express...beef chop suey impressive as well as other dishes... Only 4 stars bc of cash only!

This is the best chinese carryout anywhere - even beats NYC chinese carryout. My family has been ordering from here since the 1980s, and their food is always consistently great. The House Special is probably my favorite, but you can't really go wrong with anything. You can still see the cooks busy in the back while you wait which is always nice. I have tried many other places, but there is no better place or price for chinese carryout.

YUM YUM oh, and did I forget YUM! Hong Kong House is a REAL treasure in Lansing. They have a good variety of your traditional Chinese fare. There isn't anything new and different, but who needs to mess with classics? They have some of the best sweet and sour around the south suburbs. The prices are great, the food is ready very quickly, and they even remember your name. The only thing to remember is that they only take cash. There's an ATM within walking distance if you do forget though. Hong Kong House is the best Chinese in Lansing, and tied for the best in the suburbs. J's Peapod can suck it. :)
