This place had been here forever I think and it looks like it too. I had a soda and 2 pancakes and my friend had the same with a coffee. It was 12.00 for that which to me was a little pricy compared to some of the other places I get pancakes from but not too bad. The pancakes were a good size and I was able to get sugar free syrup. We were here for a good amount of time and people seemed friendly. I didn't check the menu but I guess they don't give refills for soda. My complaint is that even if you charge per glass if you see that a patron has an empty glass ask them if they want another soda. "Our refills are X amt of dollars, would you like one?" Yes I would!! The waitress only came by 2 times and then a last time to take my payment because I wasn't moving fast enough. I usually (if I order a little but stay long) leave a good tip but I only did the 20% today as it seemed she wanted us to hurry up and leave. Everyone has their bad days and this is my first time here. I will update when I go back.

Talk about a diamond in the rough, the neighborhood isn't the cleanest, most maintained or prettiest but, this place kinda shines. Granted it needs some polishing. Here's the skinny: The Parking lot was recently re-surfaced Food is good and Cheap Breakfast all day long Waitress' are quick 'n friendly Get the breakfasts! Here's the fat: This is a great little local diner that has been around for a LONG time. The food is pretty darn good and the only complaint I have is that some of the breakfast items like the potatoes or bacon is a weee bit greasy. I've had the french toast, pancakes, pig's in a blanket and a couple of the skillets. All of it was pretty good and the portions are huge too. The lunch and dinner items are A-OK but I've only had the spaghetti and their tuna salad on a croissant. Soups... meh... I've had some of the noodle soups and the noodles got pretty soggy. Other soups are good to go though! The staff is super friendly and they love talking to you while you're waiting on food to come out. They're also pretty quick on the coffee and water refills too. There are some regulars in there that I see almost every time I stop in. Like I said in the tip I put up: It's got a "homey" feel to it. I'd recommend checking this place out, not like for a date or anything but, definitely for a lunch break or for an after work meal. #SYOY

Great food and reasonably priced. Get the early bird special. It's quick and the best for dine in or carryout. Great wait staff.

This restaurant serves the best Belgian waffle around. We visit Chicago twice yearly and make sure to stop by Golden Crown at least twice to enjoy the perfect, light, crispy goodness that is their waffle.

What a magnificent journey into yesteryear. The décor has likely remained the same since the place was built in the 60s (Formica Countertops, vinyl stools and booths, little in the way of decorations), but it's bright and clean and very pleasant. And here is my yardstick as it relates to restaurant cleanliness: The bathroom was spotless! We stopped on the way to an afternoon of pistol shooting at Pelcher's Shooters Supply (another 5 star Lansing establishment) and didn't know what to expect. I'm here to report that this place fires on all cylinders. The food was tasty, plentiful, and piping hot. I went with a Rueben sandwich, which was comprised of genuine slow roasted corned beef, tasty kraut, and nice rye bread. And although I'm not much of a soup guy, I have to say that the chicken noodle that came with the meal was outstanding-I especially liked the use of rotini noodles. Additionally, the fries are very good-crisp exterior, fluffy interior, nice saltiness, good flavor. My pal went with breakfast and was very pleased-great mushroom omelet, excellent pancakes, etc, etc. And the service is fast and very friendly!!

Had sirloin steak eggs biscuit gravy and potatoes. Hand cut potato not frozen crap. Homemade gravy. Easy on wallet and worth alot more. This from a 20 yr truckdriver.

They have the best coffee ever!!! I love their bacon omlette. The country fried steak and eggs are good too. Servings are just right. Favorite breakfast place.
