Ive been going here off and on for over ten years and have never been really that impressed. The "air cooked" fries have a lot to do with it. To me, it doesn't really have that "hot dog stand" feel and is a shade on the pricy side for what you get.

I really hate writing bad reviews ! I would love for this place to have been good and someplace close to the house I could got to when I was in a hurry or wanted a dog ! And I was only there once so maybe another try would help but I ma probably not going to do it. I went with a friend we wanted to grab something quick neither of us had been there befor. we both ordered two dogs and sodas . He got his befor me and steeped outside when I got out there is said that was awful ! I thought how bad could it be and took one bite out of one of mine. That was it we both threw are food in the trash can at the convenience store down the street ! Hot dogs aren't that hard to make if you cant get it right you don't get a second chance ! Sorry Boz but it is what it is you get a eat at your own risk don't say you were not warned lable!

Bozo's - it's a very nondescript building that you wouldn't think twice about passing by - but do yourself a favor and stop here to grab a bite. The dogs are delicious! I had a plain dog with ketchup & mustard, and my husband had one too. However he was really there to get his favorite - a chili cheese dog - the stuff of legend! We also had fries, which had lots of flavor but were a little too soft for my liking - but still pretty tasty. The interiors are much like the exterior of the building - pretty nondescript, but the tables and chairs are comfortable and the service is very friendly and fast. You have to have a pretty awesome hot dog to please me, and Bozo's did that in spades. Next time, don't drive by, stop in! You won't regret it.

The one in Cal City got robbed too many times and ended up shutting down, so I'll review this one instead. Boz Hot Dogs is a fantastic place to get a simple Chicago street food. And cheap, too. I recall going to the one on River Oaks in Cal City a lot when I was younger--always got the same thing: 2 hot dogs with mustard, relish, onions, cucumber, sport peppers and celery salt. Add a bag of Vitner's and you got out of there for less than $4. Sadly, those days are long gone... I live up in the northwest suburbs now and although you can get a good hot dog, it's not the same for me. The nostalgia is gone. Oh, simpler times...

This place is a Lansing staple. I am a vegetarian for the most part, so I may not be the best person to review a hot dog joint.... but hot dogs are one of my weaknesses, especially Chicago Style, and a friend of mine from L.A came to visit so I had to take her for some real Chicago food. The Food: The hot dogs all seem to be steamed. The hot dog I had was fresh with really incredible toppings. Fresh sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and sport peppers. If you want condiments, you can add them yourself. The fresh toppings are really what make these dogs so good. Downside of their food is that regardless of which type of hot dog, sausage, etc, you order, they all basically taste the same. Ambiance: This place could seriously use a face lift. All Boz Hot Dog places have that same midwestern, by-gone 80's, feel to them. You kind of expect a baseball team to be in there eating lunch, and a group of giggling teenage girls wearing Z-Cavaricci pants to be munching on fries. The company's color scheme is extremely bright (Orange and White), the menu is that behind-lit magnetic lettering menu, and a lot of other signs in the restaurant are hand written. The other thing that is really funny about this place; in the winter time, the steamers fog up the windows so it is really hard to tell that there is actually a restaurant inside this building. They should figure out a way to manage that so people actually know they are open. High point; this place is always clean! Every time I have been here, the tables are free of trays, old food, or spilled ketchup. This is a huge plus. Hot Dog places tend to look pretty nasty. This business really does a good job of keeping the place clean. Criticism: They really need to serve coffee in this place. If I eat a large meat filled meal, I really need to have a coffee to wash all of that down. They sell coffee, but it is drip coffee that sits on the machine. What happens is that it sits there for too long and then they throw it out and don't make fresh. They just wait for someone to order and then make it, so you will have to wait if you want coffee. And they serve it in styrofoam cups. Get rid of the styrofoam and buy some of those Bun Coffee Canisters. Those things keep coffee hot for days, then you don't have to keep throwing burnt coffee away. Conclusion: Great hot dogs with REALLY great toppings. As my friend said, "So a Chicago Style hot dog is, like, a hot dog with a salad on it?": A very clean restaurant, but needs some updating: And finally, buy some coffee thermos canisters so you can sell more coffee.

TO EXPENSIVE FOR A HOT DOG!! 1 chili dog $2.98..and the chili needed salt, but im sure it's canned so no surprise...grew up on and worked at a BOZOS when I was much younger, and what you pay for what u get isn't worth it

Stay away! If anyone who lives in Lansing is ever asked where they live, they should respond: I live in Lansing, don't eat at Boz Hot Dogs. I have friends that live in Lansing and I'm pissed none of them ever told me not to eat here. All my Lansing friends suck. You'll notice there are no signs in the joint that say 100% pure beef or all beef hot dogs. That's because I have no idea what these things are made of. It might be chicken fat mixed with chicken skin. I'm not sure what the name of the color of the hot dog is either. The color is similar to what your skin looks like when you've been in the pool for too long. I had the chili dog and the chili wasn't good either. The prices are higher than some good hot dog joints in Chicago. Everyone who gave this place 5 stars should not be trusted.
