A place just to get some fish and hushpuppies. I always go when they are slow. Which is ok because I know my order will be fresh.

OMG, if i could give it zero I would. What a joke of a Long John Silvers. They should just close this place up because they don't care here if they even should be open. First off, I love Long John's and the fish. No other fast food has anything like here in Chicago area. Grew up eating it and every time I get the chance I get it. There are not many around Chicago area, I live in Orland, so closest one is about 30 mins away. So when I was in Joliet in the morning to get something, I saw them so decided to stop early and get some fish. I arrived at 10:15 about 15 mins early but waited because it had been about a year since I had some fish. I pulled into the DT at 10:33 3 mins after opening to give them time to get things on. I sat there 3 mins longer then someone sticks out their head and says we are having trouble with the head sets pull up. I did and proceeded to order a 2 piece fish and fries with an extra piece of fish, knowing they were going to be fresh. First the girl I swear had no clue looking at me if I was ordering hamburgers, and had to ask inside if they had it. Was told it would be 4 mins to cook, I said fine i wanted it fresh. I waited about 6 mins when she stuck her head out again and said about a min more, would I like anything else? I said yes, put some vinegar packets and salt in the bag for the fish. She said we do not have any vinegar. packets. No problem, I will just use the bottle. No bottle either. I asked you have no vinegar in the store? Long Johns is noted for the vinegar on all the tables and its a staple item for them to have. Like having ketchup in a Burger King or McDonald's. "Someone went to get some" she said. I wanted to ask when did they figure out they were completely out of vinegar but knew it was a waste of time. So I said no thank you for the food, that's one of the reasons I go there is for the vinegar for the fish, and left. This is why Long Johns has little exposure in the region anymore, do to poor operations and not caring about what they do. And you see the fast food workers on strike or protesting for higher wages, when most of the workers are not worth more than the minimum wage and most of the managers and shift managers are paid a little more than that, so I guess you get what you pay for. Long John Silvers, do not bother to stay open anymore. Your managers don't care if they open on time or even if they have the proper tools to operate correctly. Looking at the type of managers and crew that was there, they really did not care about anything at that location. They still had the high chairs on top of the garbage cans and chairs on tables as i pulled away from the DT window at 10:45

Horrible Greasy breaded mess of food. Will never be back. They obviously aren't frying the food at the right temperature if its drinking in all the grease. Just nasty!

Havent been to Long John's in a minute, but this is the one I used to go to. Honestly, i like this fast food chain. Both they're chicken and fish meals are good. A lil too greasy for me at times, but definetly not bad.

The food is eh, but the staff is extremely cordial. Trust me, I'm a part of it. Just please be ordered and out of the drive-thru window in under 60 seconds. We have deadlines to make, people.
