We call it the Golden Piggie. The staff behind the grill need an attitude change. Plus, they need to know the difference between rare and medium. Or, pay attention to what they are doing.

Very disgusting. Everything is sloppy and greasy. Kids run around everywhere and very unclean. The staff tries hard but disgusting.

I am a former fatty who ate at this place religiously, until I lost my waist! Now that I'm trim n lean I can't even imagine what the heck I was thinking! The place is dirty, they do not keep the food stations clean, and the kids, lord where do I begin! Parents just let their little germ infested brats go up and grab food like they don't got no home training. I saw on a few occasions children grabbing fried chicken with their bare hands, infront of staff who say nothing! Don't get me wrong, I ate here too like it was my "last supper", but I would never go back. I had lower food standards back then what can I say.

I was very disgusted with my visit here. Upon walking in I noticed there were flies everywhere! All over the tables, and the fruit area was disgusting. Flies all around the food! Idk what happened to that place because I never seen it like this before! Hopefully they get it together!

This place has definitely given Old Country Buffet a run for its money. The selection is so much bigger and I would stick with their steaks if you really want to get your moneys worth. With that said, the parking lot seems to be jam packed every time I pass by it on Jefferson, even on unassuming times like a Monday afternoon and there's always a shitload of kids unsupervised running around your table. God bless the waitstaff as they try their best to keep the place despite the sheer amount of people that they wait on. Atmosphere is a tad bit ghetto, but not to the degree that OCB is. I remember when an abandoned gas station previously sat at this location for a very long time.

I came here for the all you can eat wings and I was just wondering how is this place still in business? The food is so poor quality the wings seemed like they were reheated super dry and tough. The boneless wings were the worst they were like eating rubber! Everything except the steak and maybe the fried chicken was very poor quality. I couldnt even hardly eat anything! The waitress took forever to refill my drink. I would have to say $32.00 for 2 people to eat poor food like this is a total rip off. STAY AWAY! I will never go to A Golden Corral again!

I love Golden Corral. I have only been to the joliet location for breakfast, but breakfast is amazing, and can have me set for the entire day. There is enough variety of foods at this buffet to choose from. I have been to the golden corrals at this location, Bolingbrook, and in Tennessee and they all have been consistent.

Had the dinner buffet very good salad bar, lots of choices to choose from. Main dinner buffet had loads of great food to choose from, desert bar was great also. Good value and great food

Weird clientele at times. Food is fairly neutral. Not bad. Not great. Would be better than old country buffet IF it were cleaner

This place is great, the variety of food is outstanding, and the taste, it's like an expensive restaurant, So many deserts, I always get a piece of carrot cake with ice cream over it, All this for about $15.00 a person, you just can't beat this deal, unless your on a diet, which they have a fantastic salad bar.

If you are looking to stuff your belly with good food, look no further than the Golden Corral. My 2nd expirience at the GC was Oct. 2007. I was very impressed on the food....quality and taste. The seating (tables and chairs) was a little close for my comfort and it was very crowded. If you are not into crowds (like me) I suggest going during a weekday. Thumbs up from me!

Old Country Buffet, step aside. I first stepped into one of these restaurants out on vacation in Colorado. I fell in love then, and I am still in love with it now. This restaurant is buffet times ten. Not only do they have a large selection of salads, soups, and sides, but the entree choices are beyond belief. At least three different chicken, fish, and vegetarian entrees each, and more than six different kinds of vegetables. But the highlight of this buffet is the steak. Strip steak cooked to your liking, all-you can eat. And all of this for under $13 per per person.

Pot roast is my favorite. Mashed potatoes are really good. I wish they had a better soup selection. The taco bar needs to come back! They also need to learn how to make better cotton candy. The service could be a little bit better. But for the price it's cheap and you get what you pay for.

This place reminds me of Old Country Buffet that I used to live by. Service: Self Service! The Wait: No wait, first person in line. We got our drinks fast and food fast! Food: It is a lower quality buffet but there is tons of selections. Favorites are the pizza, mac and cheese, and don't forget the tacos! Overall: I will be coming back from time to time as it is close and a very reasonably priced buffet.

Explain to me how a bargin buffet does not put any new food out 40 minutes prior to closing on a Saturday night. When we come in we are not met to a WELCOME or HODY but more or less the buffet is what the buffet is. Nothing new is going to come out and you can take it or leave it. The price is the same regardless so take a look and see what you want to. No concern for customer service and basically apathetic when we were like "no we are good". Find another place to eat if you want a place that appears to care about you.

If you want a lot of food on the cheap, the Corral is for you. It's not fine dining. Don't expect high quality grub. Its marginal at best. Some things are better than others. The Steak and Chicken are just OK but acceptable.I do like the Omelette station at breakfast, and the variety of foods.

If I ever told someone that I went to Joliet to go to a buffet, I'd lose my Yelp credibility. Oh wait. I said it. Let me preface that by saying, it wasn't my idea. I was off work and bored at home alone. My mom called and said she was going to Golden Corral so I figured I'd tag along -- not necessarily for the food but for the shopping. I went in with a lot of previous opinions from others about how bad it sucks, so I had low expectations. Maybe that was why I liked it? I'm not your typical buffet eater. There were a lot of those around me though--you know the type. Gorging on as much food as possible as to only have to eat once that day. Me however, I usually go just to eat bread, soup, salad and dessert and rarely do I ever make it over to the 'hot' food. This was no exception. Bread - Their 'yeast rolls' were so fresh and delicious and one of the highlights. They also had some garlic cheese bread that was supposed to be like the Red Lobster biscuits but they weren't as good. Soup - It was Friday so they had clam chowder and it was delicious. Very creamy and had lots of clams and potatoes. I was also surprised at how warm it was. Buffets aren't known for having warm food so that was good. Salad Bar - Huge selection. There were pasta salads, seafood salad, potato salad, cottage cheese, caesar/garden and every topping you can imagine. Larger than most salad bars I've seen and everything I tried tasted good. Dessert - I had a lemon tart. It was okay but obviously not made by a fancy pastry chef. I only ate half of it. There was also a Mexican bar, Chinese food, burgers, pizza, etc. I didn't get to eat any of that so I won't comment on it, but there was a big selection. Overall, I thought the price was a little high for someone like myself that only goes for the soup and salad. $9.10 for lunch without a drink and around $11 with a drink, but I think it was a great value for the guy at the table next to me who had at least 6-7 plates.

This place is what it is, a cheap buffet option. If you're completely drunk and don't care what you eat then consider this place. Personally, I'm more into Denny's or IHOP. I went to GC recently and the "clean" plates were noticeably dirty. I took a peek into the back room and the kitchen looked totally filthy and the food was disgusting. I'm not expecting a chef to be in the back cooking up the latest and greatest delights but I'd like to not see rotting nastiness. Please, don't go here if you have even an ounce of dignity left to you.

same as all other Golden Corrals . The food was good that I ate. I avoided the Taco Meat with three inches of grease on top lol. Atmosphere was the same as all the others. Its a buffet.

Eh. Just ok. The best thing about this place is the hot rolls and honey butter. Not worth the price to me. Maybe if I were more of a steak and seafood person though. The bathrooms are ALWAYS disgusting.

They have a variety of food...won't argue with that. However, prices are high if you are not into carbs or starchy foods. Fruits were ok and salads not appetizing. Not my kind of place to go. Kids are running around and it's super crowded.
