Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Sicilian deep dish is untouchable. I have eaten a lot of pizza but I DREAM about Leo's! Haha I'm driving 7 hours from michigan and I will be ordering my first in 4 years. Can't wait!

Incredible pizza (one of my favorite in the world - we even had it for our wedding reception!!!)! Great family running it, everyone is so nice and considerate. My personal favorite is the original crust with either plain cheese or ham. Highly recommend :)

We found out about Leo's from the hotel we were staying at, while passing through town. Pizza sounded great, so we placed an order for carryout. We thought it was pretty good! They had a wide variety of pizza, sandwiches, pasta, and appetizers. We just went with thin crust cheese, Sicilian pan with sausage and black olives, & some cheese, spinach, artichoke toasted ravioli. I really enjoyed the taste of the pizza, in particular the sausage. It was a little overly saucy for my taste, but the sauce was great, so I didn't mind too much. The toasted ravioli were fine. Nothing miraculous, but we didn't expect that! It was a satisfying meal overall.

Been to Leo's before and the pizza was good. This time I went with a group of 9. My mom had a house salad and neither of us liked the dressing. I think it was meant to be a vinaigrette but it tasted like oil and A LOT of herbs. Took forever to get our food and the large group that came in after us got there food about ten minutes before we did. I ordered the tortellini with pink sauce instead of meat sauce. I don't think it tasted any better than chef boyardee but the bread that our meals came with was very good and they gave us a lot of it. For desert, I ordered the cheesecake with strawberry and my mom ordered the tirimisu. Both were partially frozen and my strawberry topping was basically strawberry syrup and one canned strawberry. Overall the dinner wasn't great but I will most likely come to Leo's again and hope for a better experience.

Apparently this is THE place in jville and I can see why. We had just gotten back to the hotel after spending all day at the baseball tournament and asked the concierge where is a good place to eat and they told us about this pizza joint. Bonus, they delivered. Because if you took 10 12 year old boys in the store, they might just eat you out of house and home (which they do anyway). Apparently they have a daily special, which is buy one extra large pizza, get a small free! Talk about pizza. So many choices, so little time. I was impressed with the sauce and cheese. It kind of reminded me of square pizza from my grade school days, but it was still good. The winner, has to be the wings. You look at and them and think 'breaded wings, with no sauce, I can handle this' but then you take a bite, and there is an explosion of flavor. Yes kids, they don't call these 'atomic wings' for nothing! They will clean your sinuses and wanting you to come back for more. My mouth waters as I write this.....

Love the Pizza , Taco is my favorite but they are all good . Sam and his Family are great people and are great for the community. Stacy always takes great care of our family and always makes us feel welcome

This is my favorite place to eat in Jacksonville. The thin-crust pizza is excellent - a true thin & crispy crust, more cracker-like than chewy. It's not fine dining, but an excellent mom & pop restaurant, where they greet us by name and take good care of us every time we are there. At times the service is a little slow, but never bad. My only complaint is the pineapple is crushed, rather than chunks. So I just don't order that any more! All in all, a wonderful piece of Jacksonville local flavor!

This pizza is as good as it gets. The best pizza they have is the stuffed pizza. The stuffed pizza has the sauce on the top and the toppings and cheese in the middle of the pizza. I have had many stuffed pizzas from other pizza places but this one can not be beat. The sauce, crust, and toppings are awesome. They also have the best bosco sticks I have ever had. Bread sticks with cheese in the middle with marinara dipping sauce. Amazing! The service is great. I have never had a problem with bad service and have been to Leo's several times. All in all you can't go wrong with a trip to Leo's pizza.

I give five stars for service, food & caring about their customers & community. Had a fund raiser pack the house here at Leo's. Numerous friends, family & community members ordered take out or dine in & I have not heard one complaint. I've been eating Leo's my entire life & it's always good. Personal favorite is sausage & mushroom thin crust which is light & yummy. Tonight went with the lasagna which was also delicious as well as the spinach & artichoke toasted ravioli. A friend sent me this picture of their Fillies Favorite stuffed pizza, Alfredo, sausage & bacon & said it was delicious. All around a wonderful evening of great food.

Best Italian around. Owners are from Sicily. If it's not right, they will make it right.

Great local pizza! Vibrant place to sit down, relax and enjoy a great meal. Pizza is handmade thin crust that isn't drenched in grease like other places.

Nice and homey lil pizza joint. The Bosco Sticks were on point, much better than the ones you remember from high school. Pizza was average at best. The Veggie lacked fresh ingredients and the All Meat had the right amount of meat but lacked flavor. If you go with the tortellini it's essentially what you could buy at the grocery store down the road. I'd recommend Leo's to anyone who's looking to have someone else prepare them some store bought Italian food.

Ew. It may have just been since I got thin crust, but it was just hard and tough. That is the problem with Midwest pizza, the crust. I thought the sauce was just okay, and the toppings and cheese were just greasy. There was no wow factor. Maybe it just wasn't for me since it looks like it is extremely popular. Ive had better, but everyone's pizza preference is different.

More than adequate food quality. Ordered a large sausage pizza and bosco sticks, had it delivered and arrived within 30 minutes of ordering. Prices very reasonable, and will certainly be ordering again.

I don't know what has happened to this place. When visiting family, we would always get the brushetta pizza. The topping is still great -- that keeps it from being 1 star. But the quality has plummeted -- I swear that the crusts were frozen. I was seriously disappointed. Our other pizza was worse sausage and onion on that cardboard.

The crust is the only thing they should work on. The rest is good and they have a great small town community that keep coming there to keep it going. The crust is dry and lacking flavor. So far bar pizza around have been better and I don't drink.

Was up visiting family and we decided to try something new on pizza night. There were 20 of us so we ordered five various large pies, which was the perfect amount. My personal favorite the chicken haven Alfredo deep dish pizza was delicious. Only complaint was that some of the pizzas were a little cold by the time we for them home while others were fine.

Leo's has the best pizza in Jacksonville. Nay, in the entire central IL area! The atmosphere is great. Homey, old-school Italian. Reminds me of the joints I grew up in back in Chicago. The pizza is decent. The thin crust could probably compete in a thin-crust competition. It might not win, but it's a contender. The bruschetta is so good. Really, it's SO good. I always order it and it's never enough. Their delivery service is fast and cheap. Can't compete, man. Drinks are okay. You have to order, and your waitress is more than likely underage, so someone else will bring it out for you when they've got time. They "roll their own" dough, and it's clearly evident. It's some damn fine pizza. Leo's is not to be missed.

We are from Chicago and enjoyed the food. Nice atmosphere. The pizza was good. We had the all meat. Our dog loved the leftovers. We also had the bosco sticks which were good. I wanted to try the ravioli with artichoke and spinach but that would have been too much to eat. They had a wide selection of items to choose from.

The pizza: well... ok, but I was a little disappointed with the crust (a little dry i.e. opposite of greasy), but overall it was fine. The sauce was tangy and the toppings were good though. There were good deals, including a free small pizza with an extra-large. I really liked the chicken alfredo one... and the special pan one. The atmosphere was really nice. Old-fashioned italian family-style.

The place to go for a deicious pizza and soft gar-licky cheese rolls. Best in the area.
