Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

The crust has gotten butterier, I think, on the thin. It's pretty much perfect now. And while my dear husband would never join me in eating it, their roasted veggie pizza (tomato, onion, eggplant, red pepper) is one of my favorite-est pizzas ever now. Plus, I think the guy there is starting to recognize me. He called me "hon." What a hoot. The only downside is their itty-bitty parking lot that has oddly situated spots. (You can park on the street nearby, in the 7-11 lot or in the Metra lot after hours if needed.) Yay Casale!

Great take out. Pizza is delicious. Cheesy beef and fries are the best. Always a nice quick food pickup.

Good pizza, especially for the price. Pizza has gotten really expensive over the last few years. Casale is prices a notch below the other locals but the quality is equal.

I don't even know where to begin. I called casale at 9pm on a Saturday night. I asked to place an order for delivery and was very surprised when the girl on the phone told me they were done delivering for the night. She seemed surprised when I inquired about that. She told me a typical delivery takes an hour, and they had to close down the kitchen and start cleaning. I then said " are you not open until 11pm like your menu says" and she tells me yes they are. So again I inquire as to why at 9pm they wont take an order for delivery. She seemed a bit puzzled and placed me on hold. When she came back she giggled and said "oops we are delivering" Trying to not be annoyed I said I only live down the street anyway so it would be a quick delivery. So i placed an order for a small cheese pizza, very well done, borderline burnt (those were my exact words) and cheesy garlic bread. 25 minutes later i get a phone call back from ms phone girl just confirming that my house is in elk grove ( the next town over) and again I said "no, I literally live 2 minutes down the street from you guys and had to give her directions. A few minutes later my dinner was being delivered. I opened up the cheesy garlic bread and took a bite. It was so spicy I couldn't even bring myself to swallow it. I love garlic and I love spice but this was just ridiculous. I then moved onto my pizza and was even more disappointed upon opening the box. The well done pizza in had asked for had cheese that was just barely melted and no where near well done (especially when I specified almost burnt). I was excited to try out a new place but with the issue with the phone girl and then the issue with the food, this will be the first and last time I ever order from there. Very disappointing.

Casale Pizza is little more than a counter behind the door adjacent to the Cucina Casale restaurant. Despite this unremarkable appearance it has what is easily the best independent thin crust out of the two dozen or so pizza places within a few mile radius of our apartment. Once you factor in the local chains like Aurelio's or Home Run Inn, it's still one of the best, just "arguably" rather than "easily." The difference at Casale is the fact that a majority of the ingredients are homemade. The sauce, the dough, and many of the toppings are made right there. I'm sure if it was feasible in northeastern DuPage County they'd make the cheese too. There's no stock pizza supply company stuff here. The sauce is savory with just the right amount of tang and bite to it. The cheese is browned to perfection and nicely dusted with Italian herbs. Only slightly disappointing is the dough which is a bit on the dry side and could use some garlic butter or something to moisten it up. Nonetheless, you can taste the freshness and it still has a nice flavor. It's just a little more moisture could really open it up into absolute perfection. The real life changer is the sausage. I'm not typically a huge fan of sausage pizza. I'll eat it, if it's what's available, but it's not my first choice. Well, in the future with Casale, it will be my first choice. Once again, it's a homemade ingredient and it's some of the best Italian sausage I've ever eaten. Just a perfect compliment to all the other wonderful parts of this pizza. Downtown Itasca is a pain to get to. Basically, your choice is Irving Park Rd. and it narrows down to two lanes there and during rush hour it can get pretty bad. Throw in the Metra stopping downtown and traffic gets insane. With all that said, Casale is more than worth the hassle. By this point we've just about tried every carry-out place within a reasonable distance of us. Now we can start getting the most out of the places we've decided are our favorites and Casale is definitely at the top of that list.
