I had previously had problems with lukewarm food during non-peak times at this Panda Express before, and thus hadn't been here for more than a year. Today, I had a craving for orange chicken and decided to chance it. Luckily, things seem to have improved pretty dramatically. The employee who greeted and served us, Farah, was extremely friendly and helpful. I ended up getting chow mein with orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken. Although the chow mein is a bit bland, that's more of a general Panda Express issue rather than a specific reflection on this particular location. The orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken were both piping hot and fresh, despite the fact that we arrived during a lull. They were very tasty and filling enough that I barely touched my noodles. My wife had honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken, and was equally pleased with her entrees. I tried a bit of the honey walnut shrimp and quite liked it as well. The restaurant was very clean and everything but the chow mein was definitely very good, and the mein was at least edible. Good to see this location has gotten better over the years.

Hadn't stopped at this Panda Express for over 2 years, and I was happily surprised by the changes. The employee who took our order, Farah, was helpful and friendly. Our food was hot - which is a big deal considering the reason I stopped eating here was the previous, distinct lack of hot food. The counter/food display area seems to have had an upgrade. The generic bain-maries have been replaced with wok-shaped ones - a cute touch. Tables have little vases on them with a stalk of bamboo or some cut flowers. The store, overall, seems better organized and better staffed than previous visits. The friendly staff, hot food and minor upgrades have transformed this Panda Express into a solid place to grab some grub. I'll be back.

Me rikey this Panda Express!!! Me and my old lady eat Panda at least once a month and this location is by far the best in the Mid-West. Their chicken is always lean, fresh and cooked to perfection. Their facilities are always spotless and well kept. I would highly recommend almost anything on the menu to anyone who hasn't tried Panda Express yet. Dericious!!!

I went to Panda Express in Homewood on 7-21-14 in the early afternoon. The drive thru was completely backed up so waited 10-15 minutes. I ordered Angus Steak and String Bean Chicken with white rice. There is a $1.25 up-charge for the steak. When I got home I had String bean chicken and KALE chicken--I really hate kale so I was not happy at all. The chicken on both sides was an ugly brown color. I thought maybe this was from the Kale, so I tried it. It was completely disgusting. I could literally cut the rice with a knife it was so coagulated. The chicken was completely devoid of flavor--did I mention the brown color??? I was so angry. If one item on a plate is sub-par you kinda figure "oops." Three items on a plate is total "I don't care" especially when one is the wrong item. I tried calling the store and got....an answering machine...really??? an answering machine? OK, so we have a TOTAL customer service break down here. I wonder what happens if you are on a 30 minute lunch. How do you get your food replaced and still have time to eat? I went to the store and FINALLY got it through to the lady, after explaining 3 times that I got the wrong order. They replaced it, no apology, and I went home still angry, but hopeful. Well, Panda was not to be for me that day. The chicken was still brown and ugly and tasteless. I picked up the whole pile of rice in one piece on my fork. Thank God I had some Minute RIce in the cabinet. I waited a couple of hours to calm down and tried...yes tried...to call the corporate number. Guess what...wait for it....yep, an answering machine!!!!!

ok so I use to love this place until i had PF Changs, hands down the best place to get beef and broccoli. So I was super hungry today and I wanted some beef and broocolli but I didn't want to drive all the way to Orland Park to get any, but I regret that I didn't. Today is the last day I will ever go to Panda Express again, and I do mean EVER. I just got home 15 minutes ago, I opened my box to find nothing but brocolli, a shit load of rice and more vegitables, WTF!!!! Where the hell is the meat, I litterally could not find any but a few pieces here and there, my money is totally wasted.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
