THE GOOD: Impeccable Service Perfect Outdoor summer ambiance Food and ingredients are Fresh! Drinks were made strong enough Clean restaurant and restrooms Play dough is given to kids at table to keep them entertained, Awesome idea!! THE BAD: We were a bigger group, but Food and Drinks took too long to get to table. Chicken soup that is so simple to make tasted out of the can. Menu was on the smaller side. Overall we had a very positive experience and will be back.

Male server was great, food was mediocre at best. Ordered the Asian tacos, nothing Asian about them. Cold flour tortilla, shrimp, and tasted like tostidos salsa was poured on top. Worst I've ever had. Kids cheese flatbread was good. I would go back and try something else because customer server was great and kids loved the play doh... Maybe I'll have better luck IF there's a next time.

Never a disappointment! My buddy had the Talapia and I had the corned beef sandwich this time around. Actually they don't offer a corned beef sandwich, it was a Reuben sandwich minus the sauerkraut (Yuk! not a fan!). Needless to say our server Carly was most attentive and exceptional, as was the food! The south suburbs has been in need of a great restaurant with an extensive menu and reasonable prices for quite some time now and it looks like the ghost of Grady Wilson from 'Sanford & Son' (who shares the same namesake) has smiled down on us with 'Grady's Grille'! Peace

Went for the 1st time. called ahead for a pick up order. I orders the Shrimp salad which was delicious. I wish they didn't use iceberg lettuce..it cheapened it. Spinach or Mixed Greens would've been more worth me paying $15. The 6 shrimp was a good size so no complaint there. they gave a good menu so will try something else oh my next visit.

Very nice patio space. Miranda was out server and she was good. The food portions are hearty so you won't leave hungry. I had the Margherita flatbread and wasn't disappointed. Fried cheesecake was delish as well (all the desserts looked good)!! French martini was good just need the glass full. I would definitely go back. It's a hidden gem in Homewood (but not for Homewood residents).

Only been there one time, but was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The restaurant has a lot of old photos of Homewood that was very interesting to look at. Even though it was chilly we went, the restaurant has has a great patio to eat outside when warmer weather arrives. Looking forward to enjoying it when the weather breaks. It wasn't crowded when we ate their, so the customer service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu for the evening. He answered all of our questions with no problems. To top it off the food was delicious. I ordered some Greek Chicken and my wife ordered the shrimp tacos. Both were outstanding. If you're in the Homewood area searching for a fresh meal, give it a try.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious. A definite repeat visit is in order. I had the fish tacos and the are slamming. The bar area is not large and only one tv to view at the bar, but there is 2 more located in the restaurant.

The menu is impressive. I found several items that I would like to try and that's not easy for me. We will return to try them. Today I had the Mexican chicken salad and loved it. The combination of flavors worked well. My husband had the blackened tilapia tacos. He found them to lack a little flavor, so he added a bit of ranch dressing to the sandwiches and found them tastier.

Inconsistent at best The service is lack luster at times...as is the food. The Asian tacos were pretty good; the turkey burger was awful. I tried to speak with the staff and all they wanted to do was argue that people liked their food. There was no concern or offer to fix it. I will not waste my time or money going here again.

Grady's has wonderful burgers, however they lack in other aspects from their menu. I had the BBQ salad the other night and it was not as good as I anticipated it to be. I did have their tortilla soup which was delicious. Service was great.

Where to begin? Last year I had my wedding reception here. We rented the room off to the side when you first come in the restaurant. The staff was phenomenal, very attentive, helped with decorations. I loved it. Now to the food filet medallions with potatoes was so good,my mouth is salivating just thinking about it, the lemon pepper chicken was tasty. The bar was excellent. All the drinks were made to perfection! I'm fast forwarding, this has become one of our local restaurant to frequent on date nights or an occasional just because! It's kid friendly. The patio is beautiful. Try their specials, I haven't had any bad ones.

This place is nice. Great outdoor patio. But something HAS to be done about the lighting inside! It's ridiculously bright. Detracts from the ambiance. Makes it feel cold and unwelcoming inside. My husband and I sat at a booth and we had to cover the industrial bright booth light with a menu to eat in peace. The waitress never asked why we did that. Must happen a lot. I asked around to a few other people who had been there afterwards and they all said the same thing- "fine for lunch but dinner is way to bright in a there", "only will sit on patio if nice because the inside is too bright". Seems to be a common issue of the patrons. The food was good, but it doesn't compensate for the surgical lighting. To the restaurant owners- invest in some dimmer switches and it will make your restaurant so much better! Then I'll be back again!

If you're looking for a City style dining experience in the south suburbs, Grady's Grill should be your next destination! Great atmosphere, and courteous servers. My wife ordered the Chicken Spinach Alfredo Panini sandwich, and I had the shrimp tacos. They have a nice American dare style menu with some cool options for a variety of palates. They also have a nice eclectic patio for nice weather days. We'll be back for sure!

Weird place. Decor is mismatched and odd. Both times I have been here the service is slow as molasses. Strawberry lemonade and Korean tacos are good but not worth the trouble of the atmosphere and poor service.

Sigh. What a disappointment from our other visits. First of all, a male server took our drink orders & our soup orders.. He said Brittany would be our actual server. . Ok.. She brought over our drinks... He brought the soups.. She took our food order. She never told us the daily special (I saw another server bring a tray of 3 choices to a table).. Our food was brought out by the same guy who brought the soups. I saw Brittany walking around & clearing off a table. Now, if you are designated as my server, then ..be my server!! I mean... why didn't she bring our food out? ! The table could have been cleaned up after she brought us our food...I just don't understand that. Brittany never came back to check on us during our meal...and it was just OK. We had the chicken tortilla soup, which had a great flavor, but it could have been hotter. I ordered the Tuscan filet pasta in a spinach cream sauce. ..very flavorful, but I ordered the filet Medium rare & I got medium well. My husband got the blackened salmon which was dried out. Brittany finally came around & asked if we wanted dessert? ! Um ok. How about a manager while you're at it? ?! MY husband told him that this was the worst meal we've ever had..But the service was even worse. He offered to give us a dessert. Whatever. I SAVED THE BEST PART FOR LAST: my husband paid the bill , & I barely put the tip in the money holder, when Brittany came to the table saying, "ok I'm leaving now.. is that ready?" I barely picked it up before she grabbed it from me!! I reeeeally didn't want to leave her a tip at all...Let alone $8 bucks. I mean...She sure as hell didn't earn any of it. ******************************************* Jan.12, 2015 Sigh. I feel like I'm experiencing Ground Hog Day... My husband tried the salmon again, and AGAIN...it was dried out !!! UGH ironically, I had the toscana filet pasta again & it's still wonderful.. So is the chicken tortilla soup! Though it could have been hotter... And the salted Carmel ice cream is heavenly. .

Go for the atmosphere but somewhere else if you want a simple lunch. I had the southwestern chicken wrap with fries. Nothing special and the chicken was a bit dry. If I hadn't used a Restaurant.com certificate, I would have felt gipped.

My sweetie and I have eaten here three times and we absolutely love the place. The restaurant is appealing, the staff is friendly and well-informed and the food is really good. Last night I had one of the specials, eggplant baked with ricotta cheese and served with spaghetti. The eggplant was delicious, nicely seasoned and served. My friend had his second burger there. His take is that the quality of the meat is top drawer, and we both love the French fries. I've also had the Southwest salad and they had no problem accommodating my request for the lime vinaigrette dressing instead of the ranch. Desserts are delicious and cocktails are good here, too. All in all, a great place for a casual dinner.

First time visit and I enjoyed my meal. I usually don't venture outside of my restaurant world comfort zone BUT I was treated to lunch for Administrative Professionals Day. I had the cream of turkey soup, which was the best soup I have taste to-date. I also had the blackened salmon with citrus rice and broccoli, when I tell you that it was delicious, TRUST me it was DELICIOUS. I am already putting Grady's Grille on my places to go list.

I'm sad to be giving this restaurant a two-star rating, especially given my first visit was so great. However, in the subsequent two visits to Grady's, both the food and service have gone from bad to worse. My first visit was at the end of April. I had the grilled salmon with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and our server was fantastic. Came away from that meal very enthused about Grady's. (The only thing I didn't like is the trays of food they bring around the tables to show diners the specials. I'd suggest giving the servers iPads that showed photographs/details of the specials. This would be a lot more effective than the unwieldy trays of gelatinized, cold food they have to cart to every table. It's unappetizing and not something you want to see when visiting what is supposed to be a more upscale restaurant.) My second visit was last Saturday (May 31st). I had a chicken, spinach and artichoke panini. I was expecting panini-type bread, but I was given white sliced sandwich bread instead. It was just okay. The fries that came with my order were cold and hadn't been drained properly, so they were oily. Our server was very hyper and spazzy, forgetting our drink orders twice. She also forgot to put in our appetizer order. Our entrees arrived and there was no sign of our appetizer. We're guessing she completely forgot, because when our check came, it didn't list the appetizer. My third visit was this afternoon. They weren't busy when my husband and I were seated. I had the grilled salmon again. Unfortunately it wasn't anywhere near as good as the first time. It was practically swimming in oil and overcooked to nearly dry. (Seriously, if your kitchen staff can't cook salmon correctly, there's something very wrong. It's a very basic dish). The broccoli was overcooked, mushy and cold. It, too, had been doused in oil (?), which made it even colder. The garlic mashed potatoes had obviously been plated first, and were starting to dry out around the edges. There's something about the garlic mashed potatoes that's a little off - it has an odd, sour flavor. It's not sour cream, it's not garlic. It's just some element that doesn't totally work. I don't know what it is. Sadly, the service matched the food. Our server wasn't rude, but she wasn't attentive, either. She never acknowledged me, looked at me or acted like she heard me when I placed my order, but interacted with my husband just fine. It was really weird. Once we had our meals, she disappeared. She didn't bring any drink refills for my husband until after I'd already asked for the check. Our check came to over $40 with tip. That's just too much money for the mediocre food and service we experienced at Grady's. We may try it again in the future if we hear it has improved, but based on our last two experiences there we won't be returning anytime soon.

I had the Korean tacos that were very good but it was more of an appetizer for someone with a hearty appetite. I ended up getting the blu cheese burger with fries. Both were very good. My girlfriend got the chicken salad and the portion was huge and very good according to her. A descent beer selection as well.

Grady's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Homewood- flossmoor area. I've literally tried just about everything on their menu and I have few complaints. They have really good burgers and sandwiches, although I miss their old school croissant turkey avocado sandwich. My least favorite dish was the lobster mac n cheese. Although the lobster was good, the cheese had a watered down consistency that I was not expecting. The flatbreads are one of the best! I've tried every single one and although some of toppings might be bland, the crust is wonderfully crispy. Shrimp tacos are pretty good as well but I'm pretty picky about my tacos and wish they were more creative. Finally, this isn't on their menu normally but I am a huge fan of their sangria. I just wish they had sangria pitcher specials!

Grady's has really great flatbreads/pizzas. Their salads are also great. One time I was there, I had the steak sandwich and it wasn't very good. They have a decent drink menu, and service is always friendly and attentive. They have a really nice outdoor patio area. I would definitely recommend Grady's as a fantastic place to take a date.

Service was great. Food was great. Food didn't take too long to come out for a Friday evening. I was a happy camper after a long work week. You get 5 stars from me.

Cute trendy place across from the original Aurillio's. Comfortable patio for dinner. We enjoyed the margarita flat Brest as an app with the lemon chicken pasta and Korean tacos for the mains; all were very good. I found their legendary fries ok. Service was attentive and prices were about what you'd expect. Will be back.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I went here yesterday for some dinner. It took 10 minutes just for someone to seat me. Finally walked outside to dine and I waited for my server for about 30 minutes to take my order. My family decided they wanted to join me too so they met me here. Now mind you, I already put my order in before they showed up. 2 dishes were pretty solid: totally loved the buffalo shrimp and shrimp salad. My dish, shrimp tacos, never came out until an hour later! Once they came out, I had to send it back because my shrimp were over cooked and they didn't add everything that was suppose to be in the taco! I ended up ordering tilapia tacos, they were cold and flavorless as well. Took one bite and couldn't handle it. My dish and wing appetizer should came before anyone else! Not only did we have to wait an hour for my food we had to wait about an hour for teriyaki wings. The manager said she had no idea that kitchen never prepared my order. Service was awful, food was awful---the only positive thing was the manager and my server. I won't come back.

Grady's has quickly become my go-to place for exceptional dining in the suburbs. One of the Chicago food TV shows named another local place for "best burger", but I've tried both and the Grady's Burger is by far the superior sandwich. I highly recommend pairing it with Grady's Lemonade and save some room for their perfect Caramel Cake for dessert. The service is well above average, outstanding for a south suburban establishment. The food and drink menus are perfect sized, just enough options without being overwhelming, and nearly everything on both menus is delicious. From the quality of fresh ingredients and precision of preparation to the plating and service, you can count on a terrific experience when dining at Grady's Grille. Find a nice evening to supplement your enjoyment on their lovely patio.

Grady's Grille is a really nice space. The food is decent and consistent in what's offered. I actually had a party at the venue and it was outstanding for a location to hold a moderate sized event int he South Suburbs. The staff is A-Mazingly helpful and wonderful during the event. Planning the event was also very easy and the staff was willing to help in any way to make the party a success. My guest enjoyed the venue and the food. I only gave three stars since I haven't had their entire menu and the fish that was served was a bit undercooked. For the area, it's a great spot to dine. I definitely suggest looking at their space for a party.

Gradys was an excellent diamond in the rough. The ambience was great and swanky, the food was delicious, the service wasn't slow. What more could you ask for. I would have given 5 stars, but I felt one of the waiters was a little impatient. My personal waiter was awesome!! Ian or Eathan, was his name. The hostess were on point and very helpful. I will definitely go back again! Go to Grady's Grille and try the buffalo shrimp!

To celebrate being together for a year, my boyfriend and I went to Grady's Grille. I had never heard anything about it, but was incredibly pleased when we arrived. The restaurant is spacious and very welcoming. Our server was polite and attentive. I especially like how Grady's gives you a visual display of the specials and desserts. For my meal I chose the tomato mozzarella penni with home made chips, and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered shrimp tacos which were also very good. To end our meal we decided on desert where we ordered the chocolate molten lava cake, which was warm an yummy as well. I strongly recommend this restaurant to others and can guarantee that I will be back soon.

I have changed my mind over the last few years. Grady's has become a very solid addition to Homewood dining options. The menu is fresh and varied and the space itself is super cute and bright. I still like the fish tacos and their version of a white sangria is very solid.

I had my first experience here today and it was phenomenal! My mom and I had lunch here and sat outside. We ordered a white and red sangria. White was the best. I had the Korean barbecue tacos and my mom had a chicken salad. For an appetizer we had the artichoke and spinach dip. It was very greasy but it was nice to indulge since we opt out of eating out often. Overall the service, food and drinks were spectacular. We will definitely be back in the future.

How can you mess up sandwiches? How can you be out of an item on a regular menu during an early lunch and not inform your customers, until 15 minutes after you've entered the appetizers? Seasoned fries, were cold and greasy. They were just fries, sprinkled with seasoning salt?!?! We are in the area all the time, but will definitely not return.

This place was a pleasant find! I met a friend who lives in Homewood there for dinner after attending a workshop in the area. It was a beautiful day and we sat on the patio--soooo relaxing. It was late afternoon, so it was not at all busy and we definitely did not feel rushed. Their chips and guacamole was very good--chips were nice and crispy and the guacamole was really good and fresh tasting. I had the BBQ chicken flatbread and was pleased. Good balance of flavors and just the right size. I do have to comment on one humorous occurance. I ordered a Kaluha and cream once we were seated. The hostess actually took our drink order and asked if I wanted it on the rocks. Hmmm, no one has ever asked me that before for that drink. I replied yes and off she went. When she returned with the drinks, I was given a highball glass with ice and filled to the rim with Kaluha! Then she sat down a mini pitcher of cream! Have to say, I would have complained, but I was just given probably 3-times the amount of Kaluha than am normally provided--ha! I think the bartender needs to brush up on some fairly basic drinks.

Grady's Grille is a great place for lunch. I went here with my wife but I plan on returning with people for business lunches, the ambiance lends itself to both working and pleasure lunches. What set an impressive tone for my first visit here was our server, Lance. He was a consummate professional who balanced personality with competence. It was a pleasure to have someone wait on us who does his job so well. We started with the Lettuce wrap your own shrimp appetizer which was extremely fresh and tasty. I followed that with the shrimp tacos and they were perfect. We ended the meal by splitting the Red Velvet Cake, it was good but obviously not in house. It would be a welcome addition if the desserts were a bit fresher and original. Coffee topped off a great meal with a top notch server. We will be back.

I have been to Grady's several times with my family and the service is always excellent. In addition to to their regular menu items they also have specials every night. I love the BBQ quesadillas, the burgers and the fried cheesecake is the best. The atmosphere is very nice and everyone is always friendly.

Last time we went to eat here with a restaurant.com gift certificate, they would not accept it. The manager pointed to a small sign on the door stating that it had been there for over a month, but we had NOT been there for over a month so there was no way for us to see this sign. Apparently, their wait staff was too lazy to validate the certificates before cashing out the checks and therefore they had lost money when some customers used duplicate certificates. Their fault, not the customers. Now they do business with the website, once again. I wouldn't buy a certificate though. Who knows when they will decide to stop honoring them. Anyhow, the food is pretty gross anyway. Everytime I have gotten a "crusted" fish dish, it has been soggy and fishy tasting. Their au gratin potatoes are the dried kind from the box with a little extra cheese sprinkled on top. I think their burgers are ok and their appetizers are alright too, but their prices are outrageous. Sorry Grady's, you need to get your stuff together...

Review #2 for me: Don't get me wrong, I love this place. Everything about it is great for Homewood: It has service you would normally find in the city which is refreshing -- just because we're in the suburbs doesn't mean we don't deserve city service. The food is always good, too. The menu usually stays fresh. My only qualm is the salsa; It's a little too marinara-ish. The guacamole is so good, I wish the salsa matched it.

Grady's Grille was a nice surprise. A co-worker invite me to lunch here and I was impress to see this kind of bar is in Homewood. As one reviewer described Grady's Grille's look as "Californication" :-) or maybe more Californian style. The patio is simple and nice for the summer months. I am glad to see more options in the downtown Homewood Area for lunch. The salads looked great (try the salmon....yummy) and the Pineapple-Mango Turkey Burger gets a Green Light from me. I look forward to trying more dishes at this neighborhood bar and grill. Give it a try if you are in the area.

  • Consumer Review ..

I really need to completely avoid their specials! But they always sound so appealing. The special was a Polish Hamburger - now that stirred my interest. Food creativity at its best. They asked me how I wanted it and I mentioned "medium". What was brought out was beyond well done - not a hint of moisture in the meat. The waitress even mentioned I should try it first, as she realized it did not look right. A second attempt and it was well done rather than medium. Oh well, don't ask if you can't deliver. After observing their cooking staff, which all appear to be from the same part of the world (no diversity), I realized there may be a language barrier with the English speaking waiting staff. Perhaps "medium" was misunderstood as size by the cooking staff??? PARODY Good evening, I would like my burger cooked "small" - you know, I want it extra shrunken in size to ensure all that bad stuff inside the meat is killed off. Disappointed with the special - again. But I do like the creativity found on many of their plates. That is the magic of this restaurant. All said, we still will be returning periodically, but not as often as we did in the past.

Atmosphere was wonderful but food was mediocre. Honestly, Olive Garden's and Red Lobster's food is better. For the prices, it just was not worth it in my eyes. I recently went to Cracker Barrel, and for goodness sakes, i recommend that place over this. ( I ordered a pasta dish, my sister ordered shrimp tacos, and the tacos just had rice shrimp peas filling with no garnishes!)

My sister, daughter and I like to have "Adventure Fridays" where we generally head downtown to try a new lunch spot. Due to work schedules, we haven't been able to go every week (pesky jobs!) but finally we had another one. This time, we wanted to include our 89 year old Father/Grandfather so we stayed local and went to Grady's. Early on a Friday afternoon, he fit right in with the average age and they were extremely accommodating to him - first he wanted to eat outside, then inside and they acted like this was just fine! Their patio is very pleasant and I love eating there but inside we went. We got a table with only one table next to us, another great concession for my Dad as background noise is difficult for him. Service was a 5+ I had perused the menu online and thought there was a great variety of choices; my Dad and sister had the soup/sandwich combo and both loved it. I had a flatbread pizza which was GIANT and delicious. I also had a cup of Tortilla soup which had just a gentle kick, perfect. My daughter had the fish tacos which were as generous as they were tasty. The restaurant put my Dad in a frisky mood as he ordered fries for the table. You cannot imagine my surprise - my Father is Mr. Healthy eating but loves to bum fries and sneak ice cream. When he realized no one had ordered fries and therefore he couldn't "taste" a few (or most) of someone else's he solved the problem. This is a first, Grady's Grille was the sight of a once in 89 year event. Food was a 5. When the check came when we added 20% for tip, it was only 13.00 a person. We sometimes tell my Dad a different amount when he wants to pay his share or pad the tip when he picks up the tab - this meal was in everyone's budget. Price was a 5+ Grady's also appealed to my love of alliteration - the front desk has Greetings on it, the restrooms are labeled Girls and Guys. Grady's - our experience was good, no it was great, no it was Grand!

My husband and I took my 2 girls here two Saturdays ago. The staff is very patient and accommodating. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation but they still seated us with no problem. Its a VERY family friendly restaurant which is a plus for us since our girls are 4 and 5. They even give the kids play dough to keep them busy at the table. (That was a BIG hit with my girls) They also have a nice selection on the kids menu. The ambiance of the place is cool--not quite Downtownish but South Loopish so its close enough.) We had a great bottle of wine on special ($16) because they were switching vendors. It was really good but I don't remember the name of it. My shrimp tacos was scrumptious and get this--they were actually full of shrimp!!! Most times when I order that dish from other places they skimp on the shrimp. My husband had the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was ginormous! He had to take half home which isn't a usual occurrence. We all shared the chocolate layer cake for dessert. It was tasty as well but I think they should replace the dollop of whipped cream on the side with a scoop of ice cream. I know its costs a few extra pennies, but it would make it soooo much better. We will definitely be returning, especially since its right down the street from our house :-) BTW, we used a Groupon with no hassle. Score in that department! Some of these businesses act like they don't want to honor your paper goods!

Grady's is a local favorite, you can always expect great service and the menu provides a nice selection, without being over bearing. I typically get the bacon, egg, N', cheeseburger and it's great! I've had the nachos, flatbread pizza, several salads, and the Summertime sandwich-I have not had a bad meal, in addition to the various specials everything is always hot and tasty. Great place for a small group meal and an okay place to take the kids (before 6pm), the bar is small, but during warm weather the patio is a great place to enjoy appetizers and cocktails with friends!

I purchased a Groupon for Grady's Grille and my husand and I finally were able to visit the restaurant. We went on a Saturday and it was awesome, the service was great and the atomsphere was unexpected. It's a hidden gem! I had the bar b que chick flatbread and my husband had the burger with egg (the name escapes me) but the portions were well above expected. I am glad I purchased the Groupon and will most defintely visit them again.

Food was decent, trying to be a hip, trendy place to suit the homewood crowd. Unfortunately the service was unbelievably slow 20min just for a cocktail 45 min to actually order food.

The service was fine. The waitress did a good job with her timing and was quite pleasant. The food however was a bit pricey and that made me fairly critical of my entree since it cost so much. The chicken while moist was bland. The fries were nothing special. Basically for a lesser price I would have been satisfied.

Nice decor. Good food and good drinks. The staff very friendly. My wife had the shrimp tacos. I had the salmon salad. Both very good. I will definately return.

Been here a number of times since this place opened and have never been impressed. The menu is small and simple. The lunch fare is "ok" but the dinner options are way overpriced for the quality and portion. Nothing I've ordered was ever spectacular. That said, my most recent visit was by far the most disappointing. Came in with my boyfriend on a Friday night and were seated right away. Neither of us could decide what to get because nothing looked that great to be honest. My boyfriend ordered a patty melt and I ordered Mediterranean pasta with chicken and asked them to add broccoli and zucchini to my dish. When our food arrived, my boyfriend's patty melt was BURNED on one side! (The cooks faced the burnt side down on the plate) My pasta didn't have chicken on it. My pasta was overdone and the vegetables were alright but almost overdone. Chose not to say anything about the chicken because I didn't want to wait for them to cook the chicken. I figured I'd just have the waitress take the charge off the bill....no big deal right? Wrong! When the bill finally came, I looked to see if our waitress had in fact, charged me for the chicken (I thought maybe she didn't hear me when I ordered) To add insult to injury, I was charged TWO DOLLARS EACH to add broccoli and zucchini to my meal. Neither my boyfriend nor I are into complaining so we let everything go and simply asked the waitress to take the chicken off our bill. She seemed quite put out in fact...."I can't find my manager" "you guys should have told me earlier". After a few minutes of our waitress at her computer with her manager, she finally came back to our table and threw me a dollar back. Unacceptable in my book. Mediocre service and mediocre food. I want Bamboo Blue back.

I had no idea a great bar and grill like this was here! We sat outside and had a great meal with my in-laws who recommended the place. The inside looked very trendy and would love to come back and eat inside when the weather takes a turn for the worse. The flatbreads are huge and my husband inhaled his lobster tacos.

My place is not a secret anymore. Now it get's crowded and loud. Im happy their business has grown, but I like going to a quiet, little quaint place sometimes. The last time I was there they had a band, for some that might have been the icing on the cake, for me, it was annoying. I understand you can't please everybody so I'll still give them five stars. It's clean, friendly staff, good quality and good tasting food, and that's what matters the most. Thank you Grady's Grille for being consistent.

So this was the second time that my wife and I have eaten here. We ate here a few months ago and were unimpressed. We thought maybe it was just a poor choice of entrees but the second time around was not any better. To look are the menu everything sounds delicious, but of the 6-8 items we had none were anything but mediocre. The staff is very nice and accommodating, the restaurant appears clean but service is a tad slow. If you don't mind mediocre food this place is a good place to go.

FANTASTIC! Went there this Saturday to celebrate my new job, and the dinner was great. Went with a total of 6 and will tell each meal. I got the Bacon Cheese with bacon and there BBQ sauce. Perfect! handmade patty and the sauce is addicting. 5 Stars Wife got the special, 2 huge cowboy style pork chops in a garlic rosemary sauce on top of garlic mashed potato's. 5 Stars Daughter got the bacon flat bread pizza, 4.5 stars Son got the shrimp tacos and said the best he ever has had. 5 stars Son number two, sliced prime rib in a Panini with great au juice like steak sauce 4.5 and steak Au poir not sure to spell that, but sliced strip steak with wine sauce and rosemary potato's 5 stars Appetizer was the BBQ beef with jalapeno's quesadilla style, great appetizer and the special of mixed wings, buffalo, asian, bbq. Cooked perfect. 5 stars Desert was to die for; you have got to try their hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. It comes out in its own little cast iron skillet, piping hot, wow everyone was fighting over that. 5 Stars and would give more if I could. I got the apple crisp with ice cream and caramel sauce, 4.5 stars on that, just wish the apples were a little hotter, but the apples were perfect, not hard or too mushy. Not cheap 150 with dripks for six and two appitizers, but worth it for a well made meal, and relaxing kinda hip place that EVERYONE said they can't wait to get back too and would tell anyone how good it was. The server was very efficient, but not too interactive, which some like, seen but not heard, but not very interactive on the table, But every time a glass needed refill it was there before you had to ask, just placed as needed.4.5 Sorry so long but it was great, BTW we made reservations on line which was nice and convenient which so many chain restaurants do not do. Friends, you must give this pace a try in Homewood, nice place to go on a Saturday night, in the summer the patio will be open and I am sure it would be nice there too.

This place is yummy! I always get the salmon salad whenever I go, it's a decent price ($9) for the size. Every night they have drink specials, and I think on Tuesdays it's half of bottles of wine.

Pretty legit. That's good praise. My mother and I went to Grady's this past evening and were both quite satisfied with the food. There are, however, a few caveats. First, the good things. Food was of good quality and plentiful. We both had burgers, her the Grady burger with blue cheese and onion strings; me a burger with barbecue sauce, sauteed onions and cheddar. Both were cooked on the medium side of medium rare, but we were both satisfied with the quality and flavor of meat. These are half-pound burgers, and they're certainly as advertised. Both were on pretzel buns and were served with green leaf lettuce and tomato slices that were of good quality and proper proportions. As far as proportions go, they're important. A too-thick tomato slice on a too-small burger isn't right. The proportion of elements on a burger is more sensitive than something that is multi-ingredient, because as an element it plays a more distinct role than when fully integrated. Think of blue cheese. It's a strong, powerful flavor. It can easily overwhelm the whole if applied heavy-handed. Here, on the Grady Burger, it is in good harmony with the half-pound patty; if the meat was a third- or -quarter pound patty, the beef could easily have been overwhelmed. Here...harmony. Not an easy feat. Respect. That being said, the onion strings were fairly unnoticeable on thins burger. Otherwise, solid. Please note: I only had 1/4 of this burger. However, it was good. My burger had barbecue sauce, cheddar and sauteed onions. The meat itself was cooked as above and was good; juicy, thick and messy. It was may have been a tad under-seasoned -- which wouldn't have been noticeable on a burger with bacon or blue-cheese, both of which are salty. I wouldn't fault them for it as it makes perfect sense; I simply note it so you're aware. The sauteed onions were perfect in doneness and amount. The amount of barbecue sauce differed from bite to bite, and I have no complaint as it allowed different flavors to burst through depending on what bite you took. The sauce itself was tasty and not overpowering. Again, balance was good. Fries were solid, cooked perfectly and sprinkled with season salt. They were great! Our waiter advised them over the chips, and it was good advice. We had a caramel-apple something or other for dessert, and it was good. The puff pastry was great, the apple-caramel balance was spot on and the ice cream decent. The whipped cream on the side tasted as if out of a can. Very disappointing. Otherwise, I would recommend it without reservation. My compainion, a better baker than I , found it adequate. Your mileage may vary. Service was great and attentive. Brecken was a great and attentive waiter. His advice was good. Now, the bad things. The bartender was poor. My Manhattan had no discernable vermouth and was served on the rocks. I walked over to have it corrected. My mother's Cosmopolitan had way too much cranberry. That being said, this is a common problem. It's supposed to be pink, not red. Regardless, my drink required correction and I had it fixed. They are using Martini & Rossi vermouth, which is a good step up from the usual well brands such as Stock or Gallo. Good on them for that. Regardless, I wouldn't expect a great cocktail. Details need to be touched up. As an example, a halogen overhead light was angled directly toward a chair at our table. This would have been uncomfortable for whomever was sitting there and even with no one there was a little distracting. Parking was annoying; the setup was confusing and poorly lit. Decor was good if bright. We were seated next to the waitress station -- they were quite busy -- and I did not find it at all intrusive. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. Once they get in the swing of things, I'm certain this place could be a 4-star caliber Yelp place, given the location. The value is good and I was pleased with most aspects. Be sure to check out their rewards program, which seemed quite generous. Recommended, with caveats.

I have dined at Grady's Grille twice now. Both times the service was great, the food was excellent, and the environment was welcoming. The restaurant was clean, which is so important to me! I even enjoy the outside seating, which I will definitely have to request some time. I would definitely recommend Grady's Grille to others and would return for another night out.

Formerly Bamboo Blue, Grady's is a nice place for lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are always good. Parking can sometimes be a little dicey, but we've always been able to find a spot. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather permits.

Oy! Oy! Oy! Ok. I hate to be in the minority here BUT... This place does awesome bar type food, ya know wings etc. But the main dishes are kinda....well gross. My husband and I have been here 3 times now. The first time we dined we ordered the special of the night which was ribs. To their credit they were very upfront about the fact that these were baked ribs with sauce as opposed to smoked or grilled. However, the ribs wers suuuuuuper bland and mushy and tasted rewarmed. Like they baked them the day before. We opted for soup and fries as the side orders. The soup was pretty good and the fries were good also. But....a restaurant should be able.to .execute good food. Not just good appetizers and fries. The second visit we had just two orders of wings and salad and fries. Ah-mazing! The third and final time i ordered blackened salmon. It was incredibly dry. I mashed it with my fork and not a drop.of juice or liquid could be found. It came with broccoli.seasoned with basil. The broccoli was the frozen kind and the basil.was dried. Made for a bizarre combo. It also came with rosemary potatoes. These too.were formerly frozen. They tasted nothing of rosemary and were more like broasted potatoes or potato wedges. Greasy yet dry and seemingly overfried. My husband had a steak sandwich and fries which he was relatively pleased with. Other yelpers are correct though when they say the staff is awesome! We had a different server each visit and recieved excellent servicr each time. The staff and appetizers were the saving grace.

OMG! The hubby and I went to Grady's last night(awwww) and had dinner. It was fantastic ! I tried the shrimp tacos(based on Kristen H. review) and they were flavorful, fresh, and a great portion size, but (drum roll...) the BBQ quesidellias(I may have spelled this wrong) were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo GWOOD! I said GWOOOD not Goood, but there is no word to explain these juicy, tender, straight from God's recipe book creations. They have BBQ beef, cheese, red onions, jalepenos, and some other things in them, but they are soooooo good my husband and I were in love with this item.A must have for anyone who is going to Grady's.It's on their appetizer menu.Well yelpers that's my yelp. My only complaint is Grady's has been crowded on the nights the hubby and I went in. They are in need of a bigger place with better parking.

I want to like this place, but it just never seems to happen. The atmosphere is nice, and the place is always busy. The staff is overall pleasant, although our server last time we went seemed almost too busy to do her job. Other staff appeared to notice as well as other servers and a manager checked in with us to apologize, inform us about our server or help take our order. I realize people have off days, but if everyone is noticing, there is a problem. The description of the food on the menu and the specials always sound delicious, but once they come, they are sub par at best. Specific items included: the grilled cheese with tomato soup special, chips and guac (I am convinced they used bag guacamole; not fresh, flavorless and flat), mac n' cheese special, green chile cheeseburger (no flavor or bite). I will say that the artichoke dip was okay and the BBQ chicken flat bread was yummy. After a couple of chances, we have decided that we will not be going here again.

While visiting family back home, we met my step-sister here for a weekday lunch. We both just had babies within a month of each other, and she did some research on where we could meet that was baby-friendly and equal distance from the both of us. Grady's won over Chili's- go figure. I have to give Grady's mad props for pulling off the impossible. Being loud enough to completely mask the fussing and crying of two 3 month old babies while still being quiet enough to allow the flow of conversation, all while looking damn good in the process. Yes, mad props. I'm sure this isn't the intention, but from a new mom stand point I was in heaven. I still haven't overcome the insane fear and anxiety that takes over my body when I see that my son is going to start crying in public. I haven't adopted the "I don't give a shit what ya'll think its my kid" attitude all mother's tell me I will. Instead, I fear what they are all calling me under their breath. Can you tell this was a pet peeve of mine before child? Anyway, I felt like I was enjoying a classy lunch with my sister and husband AND our children. I didn't feel we imposed on anyone- and I'm still hyper aware of this I promise! The food? It was good. Nothing to really get excited about, but good. I had a salmon salad with lots of candied walnuts, tomatoes and blue cheese over greens. The salmon was a little overcooked, but the delicious simplicity of the salad made up for that. My sister's Caesar salad looked standard, and my husband's spiced shrimp was just okay. The shrimp was good, we just weren't huge fans of the spice on them. The stand out was the dessert. Perhaps it is the fact that we haven't been eating a lot of sweets, but the apple- puffed pastry- crumble-esque concoction my husband and I split was stupid good. My sister's deep fried cheesecake looked pretty stellar also. I would totally frequent this place if I lived in town. Any place allows a mom to combine her two worlds gets an A+ in my book. Plus their patio looks fab. I will have to jump on the bad parking bandwagon, though. It kind of sucks.

Went here a few weeks ago with a Groupon. Our waitress Teresa I think, tall red head, was really not all that great and added 18% tip on which was not stated on the Groupon and is against Groupon policy. I was kind of disappointed by this since she really did a lackluster job. The food however was good, except for the hard as a rock grilled cheese I ordered for my daughter. They did give me a gift card to use on our next visit to counter act this error. All and all we will be back but will hopefully have a new waitress!

I went to Grady's Grille this past Saturday for an early dinner. I tried to make reservations, but since my party was less than 6 I wasn't able to do so. But the person on the phone assured me that it shouldn't be too busy on a Saturday at 5p. Boy was she WRONG! Being that it was such a gorgeous day outside, the place was packed. Me and my 4 girls arrived hungry and ready to eat. The hostess told us it would be about a 20 minute wait...cool. Not too bad. Well after 30 minutes we were still waiting. I then headed back to the hostess where he explained that there were 3 tables with their checks but they were still talking and he told me it would just be a few more minutes. About 5 minutes later he asked if we wanted to eat outside, in which we all quickly replied "no." It was nice outside, but unless I'm at a picnic, I hate eating outside! So, we waited another 10-15 minutes and our table was finally ready. (I will say despite the wait, the hostess was very nice and apologetic). Once we sat down everything was all good. Instead of individual meals we got a bunch of appetizers to split among the five is. It was so much food on that table you would have thought it was 5 men instead of women. LOL! But everything was good. Here are my reviews for the food: Buffalo shrimp-AWESOME Spinach artichoke dip-even more AWESOME Nachos-OK. Too many beans not enough cheese. Garlic bread with cheese any marinara-GREAT Wings-I don't eat meat, so IDK how those were. But my friends said they were seasoned well. Also, our waiter Pablo was very nice. I will definitely be going back to Grady's...for those shrimp and that dip! And I'll try to get a larger party so that I can make reservations and not have to wait so long.

Grady's Grille accommodated a last minute reservation for a group of 13 for my friends' birthdays and we sat smack dab center of the restaurant. We came around 8pm and the place was busy. And now we know why. Our waiter was patient with us as we waited for a few stragglers and didn't push us to order. It was a Friday night and there was a live band who did covers from the classics to today's alternative, and they were great. It was loud, but it was dinner and I enjoyed it. As we were waiting my friend ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Fondue and Salsa and Guacamole, both served with tortilla chips. Both were very good, especially the Spinach and Artichoke Fondue. I ended up ordering the Bacon, Egg, and Cheeseburger with fries and it was served on a pretzel bread bun. Dare I compare it to the Kuma Burger, and yea it was good and it was a huge portion as I only ate half. The desserts are all displayed on one huge tray so you know what it looks like (but it's just for display), and when the real thing comes out, it's even more yummy looking. I tried the fried cheesecake and it was delicious. Our waiter checked on us and we were probably there for 2.5 hours, mostly because we were waiting for others to come, and he didn't seem to mind. Oh and even did separate checks. Wow. I'm coming back for sure.

I've been to Grady's a few times since it has opened, and haven't been entirely impressed with the food. The waitstaff are very professional and helpful and the atmosphere is great - very sophisticated without being stuffy. However, the reason I go to restaurants is for the food, and both times it has been lacking. The first time I got a wrap and while the flavors were okay, the filling was so overly dressed that the wrap itself was starting to disintegrate and get mushy. The most recent time I've gone I got the new fish tacos that were on the menu and I couldn't even finish them. I added salt, pepper, and the pico de gallo that came on the side, but they were so flavorless it wasn't worth finishing. And there was no texture - it was all a jumbled filling that lacked variety, flavor, and brightness. I hoped that the pico would at least add heat if nothing else, but even that was quite bland. Other people in my group said their food was alright, but the cole slaw that came with sandwiches was completely dry and again, even with salt, lacked any flavor. I'm still holding out hope that if it stays around, they will have the opportunity to improve their food - the offerings look great on the menu, but they don't pack a punch.

Returned to the Grille, in celebration of my best friend's birthday... and all my gripes from last time were sqwelched. The soup was piping hot, the potato chips were amazing... and then they unleashed dessert on the table. What else is there to say? I'm most certainly placing Grady's in my rotation of south surburban eateries. Goodbye (cr)Applebees!

Thank God we finally got a good restaurant in that spot. So happy when Bamboo Blue closed. Grady's has never disappointed. Sandwiches are great; burgers are great; recently a friend had one of the lunch specials-a huge salad with perfectly cooked pieces of lobster-DELICIOUS! Prices are reasonabl though sometime the service is sketchy but always very friendly.

I was sad to see Bamboo Blue go, but Grady's Grille is a nice place to eat. It's not the eclectic menu or ambience of the former place, but kind of like Sweetwaters downtown. We went on a Friday night during Homewood fest so maybe it was more crowded than normal. The place was hopping and loud. I noted that over half of the tables had kids under 12. That seemed to be dwindling as it approached 9PM, but still this isn't a nice quiet romantic dining experience. The menu was not huge, but it did have quite a variety from salads to burgers, wraps, shrimp tacos, plus a few pretty decent looking specials. Prices were moderate ranging from about $8 - $18 for entrees. I had the cheeseburger with egg and it qwas a mouthful. I had it done medium well which probably took something away from the taste, but it was still a better than average burger. Desserts consisted of cake only, I think. I tried the red velvet cake that looked awesome. It didn't taste quite as good as it looked, but it was decent. They also kept the bar area in and make some specialty cocktails that looked real good, but I stuck to Blue Moon. Everyone in my party seemed to like the food. They have a nice $5 kid menu which could explain the abundance of kids in the place. They also give out home-made flour based playdoh which is kind of a neat gimmick. All in all I would prefer something a bit more creative from this space, but they've seemed to hit the market flying, so more power to them.

Great for the whole family. Husband and I shared a bottle of wine (1/2 price bottles on Tuesday), son played with the homemade play-doh, as did his parents. Food was reasonably priced and tasted good, especially the chicken tortilla soup and garlic mashed potatoes. Only thing lacking was the dessert. Cake options only, and our slice was dry and not very flavorful. Waitress was very attentive and had a permanent smile and friendly demeanor. Place was very busy (hard to find parking) but still we were served quickly. Will be back. . .many more times!

Someone recommended this place to me and if you are a salad person you have to get the "gradys greens" salad replacing the feta cheese with avacado, It is by far the best salad I have ever had!!!! Their house vinegarette dressing is so amazing that I wish they would sell it by the bottle. I travel an hour to get this salad. It's just that good. I highly recommend it.
