Asiasn Harbor is a nice, multi-ethnic Asian restaurant. I usually opt for the Thai part of the menu, while my wife and kids usually stick to Chinese or Japanese items. I am truly a fan of Thai curries food, and have eaten it in many places. Asian Harbor has good Thai food, but it's really not worth going out of your way for. However it's one of the better Thai restaurants I have found in the area. The Japanese food is good. The last time we went, Jane had an excellent shrimp tempura. My son (age 5) likes the sushi--I think as much because of the pictures as because of the food. Service is prompt and friendly. While I rarely see children there, I am comfortable bringing my kids.

Was in the area buying some stuff for my house renovation. My realtor recommend this place.so stopped in for lunch. Was still skeptical about eating at an Asian place in Homewood but was pleasantly surprised with this place. Very solid food but did not try the sushi (so can't comment on it). I read other reviews and I do have to agree that even their "spicy" dishes are not really spicy. Staff was very friendly. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back

Very fancy dining atmospher for an Asian restuarant, but over-priced mediocre food.

At last! A sophisticated, cosmopolitan Asian restaurant in Homewood! I can't say enough about this place. The menu is expansive and fresh, the service is friendly, the bar is well-stocked and the prices are reasonable. The best part? Asian Harbor actually stays open late! 10:30 on weekends! Hallelujah! Civilization has arrived!

Nice ambiance and great food for a great price!

I'm giving Asian Harbor four stars for the sushi. The rest of the food is decent and can depend on your particular preference. I think they are qite a bit too heavy on teh Coconut milk in the curries and in the Tom Yum. I also think some of their portions (not all) are a bit small for the price tag. However, if you are here for sushi, Asian Harbor is as good as anywhere. They may have some minor limitations on variety but they make up for it in freshness and in the Maki. The sushi chefs here make awesome Maki and do a very nice sashmi presentation. Overall - well worth the visit.

The concept here seems to be 1/2 sushi, 1/2 thai, which is a little odd in my book but that is not to say that it does not work here. I tried their tempura, which was standard and then had a spicy tuna roll and their special fireworks roll. I have found this is a common sushi experience for me although I will complain every time - the roll I ordered did not come as indicated on the menu. I noticed at least 2 items - the egg and the asparagus left out. Since this roll was their heftiest priced roll, I thought they should have been either more careful or told me what they were out of. We also tried the mochi green tea ice cream, which was good. Deserts seem to be purchased and not made there, since their claimed special is tiramisu. I can't really say I would go back. If I lived very very close maybe but it really is not worth more than a 10 minute drive. **Update - I did go back to try the thai. I thought the thai egg rolls were very good. We also tried the potstickers, which were very gingery and the sauce was too sweet but dipped in soy sauce they were more on the money. I had the pad thai, which I thought was pretty standard and my husband had the red curry, which was very good. We also had the tom yam soup which was very spicy, could have used a little more sour, but it was very good as well. I have decided after my second attempt to add a star

I've been coming to Asian Harbor since day one. The decor is chic and a far cry from the usual downtown Homewood fare. They feature a sushi bar and a small drinks bar. The sushi is very good and much better than what is offered by other (ie. Little Tokyo). I usually get the fried dumplings and the Chicken Penang curry. Don't expect the curry to be spicy unless you ask for it, to which they are willing to oblige. I've never been disappointed when coming here. There is always a diverse crowd in here. Good place for a dinner date or to go with friends and family. Service has always been perfect. Easy to park at with the side lot.

Decent sushi in a random location in the South suburbs. Unexpectedly good. Maybe that is why I rate so highly. An Asian fusion restaurant, for one...not the highest promise for a specialty cuisine. We usually carry out when we are in town and the sushi is fresh, varied, and good. The Vietnamese spring rolls are also very fresh and good!

Love it, Love it, Love it. The atmosphere is nice. The menu is more then accomodating and the food is fresh and well prepared. The drinks are good and have a kick...this is my spot. I have been here several time...dates, with family etc....I have never been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and delish (they have a sushi bar...but no one ever sits over there.) This is a great place to go if you are in the mood for asian inspired food and wouldn't mind mixing Japanese, Thai and Chinese. They do a mix of the three extremely well. thumbs up for Asian Harbor...welcome to the neighborhood!

They opened in the last month, and I've gone twice... and, sorry, as much as I want to like it, I just didn't. All expected kinks aside... Both times my "spicy" dish was so bland and not spicy that I regretted ordering it and really wanted to request a do-over. Also, both times, my dish wasn't really as described... or a large portion of the ingredients just wasn't listed. One dish had potatoes in it and they were rock hard and raw. The other dish had a broccoli side dish (no mention of that on the menu... or the pea pods, onions, or bell peppers [I HATE bell peppers] . I digress...) -- the broccoli was frozen. We got a sushi roll as well both times, and the first time it was good, the second time it was pretty sloppy and small. The Vietnamese Spring Roll appetizer and curry iced tea were really good though. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. Just wasn't very good, even if it had been cooked all the way.

We went on the second day of operation -- They opened Nov 26, 2007. The serving staff was having an animated discussion of food-service protocol when we arrived. They are still working out a few kinks. But nothing important marred our enjoyment of the very well prepared food which arrived at our table. We aimed for a Thai taste night but started by ordering the Miso soup (which, although somewhat luke-warm in the best Japanese cafeteria tradition, was flavorful and full of fresh tofu and seaweed). We then enjoyed a slivered papaya salad; mild yet satisfying. For our main course we chose the Glass Noodles with Tofu, seasoned in a light shoyu sauce with rice vinegar; a Basil with Eggplant dish; and a wonderfully-light tempura-style Tilapia in Ginger sauce, which we plan to have again in future visits. The one criticism involved the listing for the Basil Eggplant: It was listed under vegetarian dishes, implying status as an entree. No rice or tofu was offered with this dish. If we had ordered it as a main dish, the eggplant alone would have been insufficient. (Despite its delectability!) We are very excited to have this quality of Asian cooking within easy walking-distance of our home. We only hope the quality continues to impress us, and that Asian Harbor prospers. The Sushi rolls presented at nearby tables made our mouths water. We are also interested in trying the Bento Lunchboxes. Children are welcome, though there is no children's menu -- or highchairs that we could see. It is set up for wine-and-dine clientele rather than as a family restaurant, though the kibitzers at the Sushi bar might have been brothers.

I go to Asian Harbor for lunch once per week. The staff know me on sight, and they know that I don't need a menu anymore because I have the lunch menu memorized. The lunch prices are very reasonable, and they have a variety of foods based on how you're feeling. You can get something light like sushi or a maki roll. Alternately, you can get something a bit heavier like Pad Thai or a curry. I'm always happy when I walk out. When a friend from the city comes into the suburbs for the weekend, I usually take them here because the food is so good and the service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and polite. :-)

I am thankful this place exist near my home. Service: seated promptly every chance I've been. Wait staff courteous and prompt. Ambiance: sort of dark almost romantic. Relaxing. Decor is nice. Food: I order the same thing most visits. Always very good. Will venture out and try new dishes since they have never failed me

Tonight was my first time trying Asian Harbor. I'm not typically a fan of Japanese food and pretty particular about the Thai dishes I eat, but I had a taste for sushi and something with a great flavor and veggies!. I'm a foodie so who didn't eat a thing all day so I ordered a few things I'd consider to be good and reliable like Tom Yum Soup and Tiger Cry ( they call theirs Tiger Tear). I was in the mood for something I've never tried before, so I also tried the Steamed Pork Dumpling, Blanket Shrimp, and Crazy Rolls ( tempura shrimp, with crab meat, cucumber, and spicy sauce}. I started with the dumplings and each dish I tasted was delicious and got better and better until I got to the Tiger Tear....WOW what a disappointment!!!! I didn't taste like the Tiger Cry I've had... Opart Thai near downtown has the best Tiger Cry I've had to date. But A.H didn't put any seasoning on the beef at all and it was tender but still a bit over cooked and rubbery. I liked that it came with a salad but the sauce smelled horrible and salty but not at all spicy as advertised. All in all I will go back and they still get 4 star since everything else was good, and my dog loved the left over Tiger Tear I didn't want. We were both happy foodies!

Sushi is gross!!!!!!!!! Crab ragoon was good. Nice people, nice ambiance but definitely won't be back
(2)Jose G.
Very nice little place with great service. It looks like just another Asian restaurant from the outside but it steps it up once you walk in. It definitely looks classy and has a sushi bar for those of you who like sushi. By the atmosphere and customers there it is certainly geared towards a bit older crowd. I found it a bit odd that there was no music of any kind playing and generally it seemed eerily quiet. The food was delicious and service was polite and quick. I'm not the best judge in Asian cuisine but overall I liked it.
(4)Nuala M.
Bland, bland, bland and SUPER oily. Not just "greasy", but oily. Nothing we ordered arrived any hotter than "lukewarm". Yuck! You'd get a better dining experience at a Panda Express.
(1)Joseph P.
Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful place. Delicious food as well. I ordered the tofu pad see ew and it did not disappoint. My friend ordered a few sushi rolls and enjoyed them. All in all a nice Thai restaurant in the area that I wasn't aware existed until I used Yelp.
(4)Rose K.
Delicious food, friendly employees, appealing decor, prompt service, consistently a very positive dining experience. Highly recommended.

When we first enter there were no one at Host station. then as we stood there and a few waitress walked by and no one seem to notice us. we almost walked out but then a waitress took notice and seated us but, I'm happy that we didn't leave. The food was delicious I had fried calamari, yellowtail maki, and the seafood deluxe the presentation was nice and good was fresh. I will return hopefully they take notice when customer enter food to good to miss out on

The worst sushi and service ever, there is no other way to explain it. Go there at your own risk.
(1)Lori V.
Great local Asian place. They have a well balanced menu offering something across the spectrum of Asian cuisines. Sushi is especially good. I usually get their specials and have never been disappointed. Favorites are the White Sox roll, Thai appetizer rolls, and Tom Kha soup. Service is always good if dining in and I have ordered carry out several times. Food is always very fresh and piping hot. One of my favorite Asian places in South Suburbs.
(4)David N.
The is the best restaurant overall in Homewood (atmosphere, food, and service). Highly recommended is the Wonton Soup and the Rainbow roll. If you read the negative reviews I wonder IF they let the server know about their dissatisfaction. We have had some minor issues over the 5+ years we have dined here and they have been immediately addressed.
(5)Charity L.
Chow mien fun is always delicious. It is à bit pricey at $12.95 but I am always satisfied! Relaxing and zen dining experience. It would be great for a romantic date without breaking the bank.
(4)Chantal W.
I had the crab rangoon and shrimp tempura as appetizers. Teriyaki chicken as my entree and the spicy salmon maki sushi. Everything was delicious and they make sure your food is HOT when it gets to you. Fast service yet they don't make you feel rushed. Good drinks and a nice intimate dim atmosphere at night. I will return!

Run away! This place has been going down hill ever since I first went over a year ago. Their food is way too over priced and automatically includes items that you can't exchange for other things. So you either like it or you don't. You also can't opt out of them because you have to pay for them whether you want it or not. That's not even the worst part- after spilling food all over my friend the waitress had the nerve to chase us out the restaurant and demand a larger tip! Who does that? Tipping is optional! Very unprofessional. Because of that I can 100% say I am NEVER going back. After this beyond terrible experience giving them one star is very generous of me. Go to Panda Express.
(1)Alzetta H.
Have only ever had the sushi here and have enjoyed it each time. Tried the dynamite roll on my last visit. Although it was tasty, it was kind of mushy for my taste. Great place for sushi in the south suburbs!!!
(4)Angelina G.
I had went out for lunch with my two brothers and their friend and was seated in a booth. I have come multiple times throughout this year and ordered sushi, which i recommend, and other dishes. I had ordered the shrimp tempera and was disappointed. The vegetables were odd, I had a hard time figuring out one that had the texture of a potato and red lines in it.. It was a mush and i spit it out.. the sauce served with it was soy sauce that didnt match well with the fried veggies for me. I should have ordered the sushi or something else i was familiar with. One time i ordered the yellow curry to go and upon trying it at home they put cinnamon in it.. Why in the word would u put cinnamon in it!? I dont know if they put the wrong spice in, but when you have a coconut milk base, and creamy texture, the last thing you want to taste is the cinnamon.. It did was awful and i was upset. They have some good dishes, just avoid these, its hard to get good asian food. This is one of my brothers favorite places, so i will be back but just watch what you order, next time I will ask what the dishes includes..

Will absolutely come back! This is a Japanese/Thai restaurant. Went tonight with a party of 12. Reservation at 7, but got there at 6 and had a few cocktails at the bar. The martinis are really well made, and strong! I had the house martini that had some hennessey, grand marnier, and chambord - rocked my world after 3! The decor of the place is upscale, but the vibe is casual. Everyone that worked there was friendly and outgoing. Though, they were probably understaffed, as the waitresses were busting their ass. At 7:30 pm, the place was packed and there wasn't an open table. At 6pm, the place was empty. 10 of the 12 of us ordered varoius sushi. The other two ordered a chicken teryaki and a mongolian beef. They said the dishes were good. The chicken Teryaki was a little bland, but the plate presentation of it looked amazing. The sushi was GREAT. Seriously, so fresh and tasty. I ordered 3 rolls for my meal. Two of the rolls were on the special menu tonight (don't ask me the names, because the martinis clouded my memory). There were 12-14 pieces in the special rolls at $14.95/each. Totally worth the price. I could not eat all 3 of the rolls, and I love sushi. I can chow down some sushi. However, I probably only at 1/2 of what was on the platter. So-so-so good! Other things were had such as Tom Kha and Tom Yam soups, shrimp appetizers, goyzas, egg rolls. All were better than your average. Dragon Martinis, Mai Tais, and the special house martini were had by all. A great night and I will come back and try more of their sushi and thai dishes. Service was probably a bit slow, but I think they were just understaffed.
(4)Rachel N.
I absolutely love the sushi here! I can't say anything about the hot food but I heard it was good. It is so nice to have quality sushi on the south side and not have to go to a Japanese steakhouse. What keeps this spot from 5 stars would be the service. It is either terrible or good, it's hardly spectacular. I almost stopped going because I had the same girl 3x and once she almost ruined my husband's birthday with her horrible service. I sat at the sushi bar once she poured my water once, and took my payment and asked if I gave her tip to the sushi chef. No, I gave the sushi chef who poured my water, took my order, made my order, served it to me and cleared my plate his tip and gave you $2 to pour my water and cash me out! The nerve! I haven't seen her lately so that is a immediate improvement. I am a patient person being in the industry, she was out of hand. Anyway if you don't want to travel to the city this place is a hit!
(4)Kayla H.
I cannot go a week without visiting this restaurant! The staff is the greatest and always there to help with suggestions if I'm unsure of what sushi I want to try. I like to try something new each time I go. Best crag Rangoon I can get my hands on. The sushi rolls, no description will do them justice, GO EAT THEM! Go eat at this restaurant. Don't skip out.
(5)Susan H.
The restaurant is on a flower-lined street with charming lamp posts. So lovely! Upon entry, I was taken aback by the relaxing atmosphere and how surprisingly soothing (that's code for HELLA flattering) the lighting was. Seated immediately to find a blooming, red rose in every booth. Nice mix of people; Young couples on dates, older folks lingering in conversation, businessmen enthusiastically engaged in decompressing and scattered tables of friends sharing entrees and a laugh. The service was excellent. Friendly and ever so courteous. In addition to Sushi there are many hot dishes to select from, which are largely Thai. Full bar with cocktails that aren't greedy with the liquor while still tantalizing the tongue. My martini was $7.50 and was so satisfying that I slowly sipped just the one. Yes, yes... I'm shocked as well. Sushi was fresh and they are a bit more creative/adventurous with their selections than many other sushi joints in the south burbs. I felt the salad, with it's orgasm-inducing sesame-ginger dressing, deserved more than just a single, simple bowl of greens. Mango roll needs more mango! "And I miss you....like the deserts miss the rain." The Rangoon could stand the addition of hearty chunks of crab....but ahhhh, the pillowy, flaky pastry seems to make up for that. It's a diversion!! A sneaky, oh-so savory diversion. I had such a nice evening that there is no doubt I shall return. Perfect for any special occasion --Diverse enough for a casual lunch. To sum it up: This is a mellow, chic spot to chill and enjoy conversation over a drink while sharing a slow-paced meal with a good friend....which I did...and so I left pleased as punch.

This place is great. The food was good, the place was clean and the help was nice. It was a great experience I didn't expect. Great job Asian Harbor!
(4)Steven K.
My wife and I are addicted to sushi here. When you walk in to this restaurant, you will be in awe of the decor. You escape the suburbs, if only for an hour or so. The VIP roll and the Liz Roll are exceptional. Fantastic!
(4)Marcus A.
You don't find too many Thai food restaurants in South Chicago area, which makes this one to check out. One thing that I like is the decor. It is up to date and modern. But what really won me over is the food. I dined here with a co-worker and we were both very impressed with the food. Anything on the menu is worth your time.
(5)Justin S.
It's refreshing to find top notch sushi in south burbs! I had the Spicy Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and California Rolls, and they didn't disappoint. Even the starter salad was made with fresh ingredients and handled with care. Will be back for sure!
(5)Melissa B.
This is right by my office and I am lucky to have a nice boss that loves to take me out to eat. I think we have only gone somewhere other than Asian Harbor once. The staff is nice and the interior is beautiful. I can't come up with a reason I'm not crazy about this place. I just never have been. It's always just been OK to me. The mixed drinks are always good. There are times that the wait for a drink is really long though. I enjoy the vegetable spring rolls, many of the sushi rolls, crab rangoon, vegetable tempura and fried rice. The mango sticky rice for dessert is a must as well, and I don't even like mango. This is a restaurant that is a must if in the area, but not worth traveling a long distance for. It's really more of a 3.5 star, but I'm rounding up because nothing has ever really been wrong.
(4)Ryan M.
The restaurant was very nice. The sushi was terrible. I have never has sushi before when you order it and it comes out in less than one minute. My wife and I think it's premade and cut to order. Therefore it has been sitting there for a number of hours. It was very fishy. As soon as they put down the plate you can smell the fish smell. We love sushi and have gone to many wonderful sushi places downtown and suburbs of Chicago. We recently moved to Indiana and have been on the hunt for good local sushi. So far no luck.
(1)Jessica N.
Came here to do a carry out sushi order. As soon as we got there we were acknowledged and given our order. The sushi was delicious and had fresh fish. Best sushi place in the area. Aside from Woow in Frankfort.
(4)Izzy R.
A little treasure in South Chicago area. Had dinner with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Atmosphere is modern and very chill. Allowing for great convo a must for first dates. Food hands down amazing will be coming back soon!
(5)Brittany H.
Definitely the best sushi place in the area, although there aren't a ton to choose from. I've tried a decent amount of their special sushi rolls and never had one I really didn't like, but a lot of them are heavy on the sauce, which in my opinion takes away from the sushi. They also have tons of chinese and japanese food options, but they're a little more than I would like to pay. I'd call the place casual, but it definitely tries to be formal, with things like cloth napkins and vases on every table. However, its def not a place that I'd get out of my way dressed up for. Overall, it's not bad, but not great either. I'd be more of a fan if they added some food and drink specials to bring down the prices.
(3)Kathleen M.
Eating is one of my favorite experiences, cooking that food not so much. Last week I was particularly clever about coming up with various reasons for eating out. I had run out of strategies when I read something on Facebook about this restaurant. I decided to go with the truth, "Hey honey, want to check out this restaurant in Homewood or just skip having dinner tonight?" About 20 minutes later we pulled up in their parking lot ready to try a spot that was new to us. I really liked the vibe when we walked in, it has a very traditional Asian decor which is well maintained and high gloss. Their menu is full of all kinds of options for sushi, Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. I had Thai iced tea and Pad Thai in the comfort of a spacious booth in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed both very much and the salad that my husband got with his meal and did not want. I think next time I go I will be a bit more adventurous and try a dish I haven't had before. This is a very nice traditional Asian restaurant and it beats the heck out of having to cook dinner yourself!
(4)Michal F.
Hands down the best asian restaurant in Homewood. It gets five for a delicious food and chic/modern ambiance. I had a red curry with basil, bamboo shoots, onion, peppers, coconut milk and chicken. I loved it, the curry had a creamy texture and slightly spicy, very sweet taste. The presentation here is nice too as it came in a raised pod-like bowl. I also had the chocolate caramel pyramid that's been raved about in other reviews. The caramel is at the center of the pyramid. It melts in your mouth with a choclaty creamy feel. I'll be back again.
(4)Colleen B.
I've been here a few times... getting lunch for takeout.... having dinner with a friend. So, when I saw a groupon, I snatched it up asap. For $20, we got to spend $40 there. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday and here's what we got. Fried Dumplings Appetizer - AMAZING Garlic Sauce with Beef - Dan's Entree Sesame Chicken - My Entree Vegetable Maki - my Sushi Spicy Salmon Maki - Dan's Sushi The only surprise... we finished all this food. The service here has been consistently great. The dining room is beautiful and relaxing. I'm not a huge sushi eater but the vegetable maki was good (though I can't compare it with other sushi places). Overall a great place to get food!
(5)Landa D.
I have driven past this restaurant several times over the years, and never thought about giving it a try until now. I'm so glad I did. I loved it. My friend and I stopped here for sushi; She had the calamari appetizer and the crunchy spicy tuna roll. I had the crazy roll. It was delicious. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, the staff is courteous and efficient, the prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. A winning combination.
(5)E J H.
My daughter brought home an item from here one evening for her dinner, but I tasted it and it was so good, she felt sorry for me and offered the rest for my indulgence. I have since ordered carry-out and was delighted to the max. The food is seasoned just right; not overly oily and fresh ingredients, especially for folks on a low-sodium diet. I didn't even have to add soy sauce! The price is a tad bit higher than the local Chinese style carry-outs, but well within my budget and well worth it. I had almost given up eating Chinese food, but glad to find this gem. Don't waste time on Chi Tung. You will be disappointed.
(4)Stina N.
I've been to Asian Harbour a few times now, and it's a total win in my book. First of all the food here is prety fantastic - especially when you compare it to the other south suburban options. All lot of restaurants that offer more than one "genre" of Asian food tend to excel in one while being mediocre at best at the others. (Example: I love the Chinese food at Chi Tung, but they're sushi really isn't great.) I don't find that to be the case with Asian Harbor. I've had sushi, curry, and sesame chicken at Asian Harbor, and all of the dishes I've had have been equally great. The service is great too. It's never been terribly crowded when I've been here so I can't speak for service during really busy periods, but the staff is friendly and the food comes quickly. Even my...pickier...dining companions found little to complain about in terms of service. Finally I really just love the decor and ambiance of this place. It's got a nice, classy vibe without being pretentious. Honestly, the biggest downside to this place is that it's not closer to my house! If it were I'd be eating here, or ordering out, weekly!
(5)Eddie F.
Very descent Thai and Sushi Restaurant! I call it Asian Bistro!!!! Sushi always fresh and yummy! I highly recommend it... I have dined in about 6 times and every time I leave very happy....
(4)Joey T.
I've had friends try to convince me to eat sushi for years and I just wouldn't because the thought of it kind of grossed me out (ew, raw fish, gag me with a spoon). You would think, having grown up on the West Coast, I would have tried it at least once. Then one day I wandered into Asian Harbor and thought, what the heck? I tried it and it was AWESOME. I was a little worried about trying sushi in the Midwest (thousands of miles from the nearest ocean), but everything here tastes super fresh. I've been back probably 5 times now and I basically get the same dishes over and over. I love the salmon and avocado maki roll, smoked salmon sushi, Vietnamese spring roll (I absolutely love these, so fresh, so delicious!), the glass noodles with chicken, and the spicy basil chicken.
(4)Kelsey H.
Husband and I shared a few sushi rolls and veggie tempura here last night. Service and food were both good, but didn't blow me away. I can't say this would be my first choice if I was having a sushi craving...
(3)Chelsea A.
Asian Harbor is a great spot to go to for a date night or simple girl's night. The decor is dim and it could even be romantic. The sushi is great and the service is usually pretty fast.
(4)Jen A.
Terrible. I have no idea why people rate this so high. First off they are way under staffed. Took probably 15 min to get our first round of drinks. Then the phone would not stop ringing, and no one would answer it. I honestly almost got up to turn it off. Secondly I love calamari, there's is like a thick rubber band. Visually disgusting. Third: had the combination fried rice. Not Thai style at all. No spice. Bland. Shrimp had tails left on, chicken looked like it came from a can. Same with beef. Will never go back and I do not recommend it at all.
(1)Tiffany S.
Slow service and heavy food! I came here based on the awesome yelp reviews. I was pretty disappointed. The restaurant itself is very clean and inviting but my experience was not. Mango Smoothie: Small portion for a large price, the tapioca was super chewy as well. Tom Yum Soup with Chicken: Lacking tons of flavor, very bland. Pad kee mao: The worst pad kee mao I have EVER had. I wouldn't call my self a thai master by any means but I do eat it twice a week. I go to different locations as I travel for work non stop. This dish was very heavy and was drenched in a thick unappealing sauce. Five leaf duck: The duck was way overcooked and way overpriced. After letting my food settle for 5 minutes I started feeling very queazy. I went to the bathroom and vomited my entire meal!!! That has never happened to me before. Lesson learned! I will not return to this establishment.

Love Asian Harbor. I initially thought that as I tried more and more sushi places I would eventually look back at Asian Harbor and think "Blech, I thought THAT was good sushi?!" but alas, I have tried many more places (urban, suburban, Midwest, West coast), and I still go back to Asian Harbor. A great spot in Homewood. Love the Liz Roll, their maki is super fresh, and their weekday lunch special is a steal. (As a caveat, I should note I only order sushi and never their other, cooked, items. Can't speak for those, but my fellow diners usually enjoy them.)

A great restaurant in the past, but having poor table service as of late. Examples include allowing your drinks to run dry, shouting by the waiting staff sufficient enough to interrupt business discussions at our table, mid-way in taking your order to simply walk away to speak for a minute to other waiting staff, etc. These poor social skills is especially apparent with the male waiter, who should not be working directly with customers. The perception is one of a poor mannered waiting staff, not training in the minimum requirements of proper and acceptable conduct.

Recently, my very favorite Thai place in the area closed it's doors, which necessitated seeking out new sources of pad thai and panang curry yumminess. After placing a takeout order for these two standby dishes at Asian Harbor, I can say, I still haven't found what I'm looking for. The chicken pad thai at $9.95 made me shake my head more than one time as I hunted for a piece of chicken larger than a bean sprout, of which this dish was also devoid, as well as any other vegetable, sauce or topping one might normally expect in pad thai. It tasted "okay", but there was not really enough of anything except noodles, here. The chicken panang curry, although spiced up a notch as requested, was also missing something, with tiny pieces of chicken and pepper slices and a really loose coconut milk base that seemed more like a soup than a hearty curry. This was paired with steamed rice that also seemed off, too sticky, overcooked. Also at $9.95, couldn't help but feel we had been taken as we hunted for a meaningful bite of chicken. I've eaten the sushi here many times and enjoyed that immensely, however, don't be fooled, this place is not doing great Thai.

Went here on a early Saturday evening, place got pretty crowded soon after we arrived. The decor is very nice and noticed how clean this restaurant was. The service was a tad slow but the food was pretty good. I ordered the hunan shrimp. I would come back again.

Service - Excellent, Quality - Excellent, Ambiance - Excellent, VALUE - Impressive! I went to give this place a shot for lunch. Always go for the tell tale basics on first visit. Tom Kha soup to measure the Thai Cuisine, and 3 basic Maki Rolls: Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Philadelphia to check out their Sushi Bar. The soup was rock solid and had some very fresh baby corn which was nice with the creaminess of the coconut milk in the broth. The fish in the Maki was very fresh, the rice was nice, the soy sauce was actually soy sauce and the Philadelphia roll (my go to Maki) as a whole was one of the best I've had.The smoked salmon in it was very flavorful. My server kept my water full, the place was a good size, open and very nicely decorated with a mix of natural light and a clean, modern, Sushi Bar swankiness that was very comfortable. Looked like a full bar and great Sake menu as well. It's too bad there weren't more than 5 or 6 tables seated for lunch, but I would imagine they do very well come dinner time. Go there, for the price you won't find better and they deserve to stay in business!!

Love this place! Cute atmosphere and great food. My husband and I came here for our first date and still frequent this restaurant. Great sushi and Thai food. All of their rolls are very good, but my favorite dishes are the Chicken Spicy Basil and the Panang Curry.

I am giving two stars because the food here is great , but there is one server in particular who legitimately will chase you out of the restaurant and complain if you do not tip her well. My table tipped her and she came outside and demanded a larger tip. Absolutely horrible waitress.

I waited 15 minutes and was totally ignored. There were five diners in the restaurant, who had all been served, there were four waitresses a bartender and a sushi chef and no one took my order. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are tired or in a hurry because the service was atrocious. I was able to read the entire menu in 15 minutes so I am sure that if I ever got served the food may have been okay. But we will never know.

I love this place. As a resident of the neighborhood, I've become somewhat of a regular. Although I've been here more times than I can count, I usually get the SAME THING EVERY TIME......My Best Friend's Roll. ($13.95) It is the best--- well in my opinion, all of their rolls are great, and large, they aren't stingy on the portioning of ingredients and sauces (I usually don't even use all of the sauce provided) like other sushi restaurants I have been to. Also, the rice to fish ratio is even, not 36:1 like some of the other places I've been to. I live downtown Chicago most of the year for school, and after all the downtown sushi I've tried, I can honestly say that this is still one of the best. The decor in the restaurant is clean and modern. Now for the Thai portion of the restaurant, I've only had the Tom Kha soup, which is delicious, and the crab rangoons. I'm sorry I haven't tried more; I just cant get past that Best Friend Roll for the life of me! DELICIOUS! Very affordable, and tasty! P.S the bottle of Plum Wine they have is delicious too....and goes a loooong way if you catch my drift.

This is out go-to place for sushi and Asian food. Reasonable pricing and great food. We have always had great service and excellent food. The staff is great at making recommendations on portion size and sushi, especially if you've never had it and are looking to give it a try.

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. So I'll break it down: The decor is fantastic, and everything is beautiful and clean. (Bathrooms are clean, which is always a plus). Staff is friendly, and accommodating. Full sushi menu, as well as a full Thai menu. Lunch specials (M-F 11am-3pm) I cannot say enough about how AWESOME their lunch specials are: Choose from a selection of rolls (2 for 8.95, 3 for $12.95) plus you get a salad. Or you can choose from a variety of their entrees (ranging from$ 6.95-$12.95) and you'll get a large portion and a Thai Roll, plus either soup or salad. They also have to-go lunch box specials, but I didn't really take a close look. I'll definitely consider to-go in the future though. I had the orange chicken ($8.95) and it was great, had enough leftovers for another full meal. The rest of my table had: The Pad Thai (with Tofu $8.95), two roll combo (California Roll and Spicy Tuna $8.95) and another two roll combo (Spicy Salmon and Shrimp Tempura $8.95). Everyone was full and happy, everything came out great, and nicely presented. The dressing on the salad (homemade) was unique and I wish they sold it by the bottle! I think it's definitely a good value for the price. I will be back for lunch again soon. Looking at the menu dinner would be a little bit pricer, probably around $11-$20 (not including drinks or tip). They also have a full bar. (Always bonus points in my book!)

I came here on a Wednesday night and got seated promptly with my boyfriend (There was only 2-3 other people eating when we arrived). Parking was easy to find on the street and apparently there's a private lot in the back we didn't know about. The decor is chic and actually made me feel almost underdressed, but whatever, it's beautifully decorated. Our server was very attentive. We ordered fried calamari, which was lightly breaded and not all battered up like those at other restaurants. We also ordered sushi which was very fresh and beautifully presented. I love unagi, but for some reason it tasted like banana (which is my least favorite flavor of anything) ? No idea why but that was disappointing. Overall, I would come back again and definitely try the other dishes. I'm glad there's another sushi place in the south suburbs that I can hail to.

Have to update. Went last night and had a FANTASTIC meal. All of the sushi was great! I am so glad they changed because I so missed coming here!

We came here for a date night. I liked the decor a lot, and had really high hopes for this place, but I was disappointed. We waited forever to even be asked what we wanted to drink, even though there were many servers talking and eating around us - I cannot express how annoying that was. We finally were able to order drinks and food after at least 15 - 20 minutes of waiting. The food was okay. Really not worth it for the price - Sakebob's is much better. Basically the whole visit was disappointing, and the whole time we were surrounded by employees eating and being loud - I understand they get breaks, but it shouldn't be around the customers. It was totally distracting and annoying when we had long wait times. Maybe if we had tried an earlier time, it would have been better, but for the price, one bad experience was enough. Sticking to Sakebob's from now on.

I am moving to the south suburbs from Lincoln Park and I was worried I'd miss my beloved little sushi place just steps from my door. Turns out it has a counterpart right here in the neighborhood. Asian Harbor has great sushi. We ordered for carry out but the decor in the restaurant is really fantastic. Next time I hope to dine in. They have great lunch specials and really interesting sushi creations too. This isn't your standard California roll type of place (although they do have delicious California rolls too). I was really pleasantly surprised.

When my wife told me to find a sushi place to have lunch, I was exited for the challenge. I jumped on Yelp and was steered in the right direction. Living in Northwest Indiana, there aren't too many sushi options to choose from. Well the reviews I read sounded pretty good so away we went. We were lucky enough to find street parking directly in front which was good because apparently the business next door frowns upon anyone parking there. My first impression was how clean and modern the place looked. That was nice to see. The menu was arranged nicely to separate the Japanese, Thai, and Chinese dishes. We were there in time to take advantage of the lunch specials so we ordered a sushi special, a Maki special, and a Thai dish... they were served with soup and salad. My wife had egg drop soup which was ok, I had Miso soup which was great. The salad was very fresh and had a house vinaigrette on it they we both thought was excellent. We were both happy with our meals. The service was good, not bad, not great, but it was a Monday at 2:00 so there were only 2 other tables in the whole place. All said and done, we had a really nice experience. We do plan on returning with friends for dinner. My only "complaints" would be the neon glow coming off the bar was a little too much. Neon over kill.... The 3 tables were all seated right there close together to make it easy on the sever I'm sure. Also, the restroom needed a little better cleaning job.

I LOVE Asian Harbor. I no longer live in Homewood, but it's the first place I have to go when I'm back! I have only had their sushi, so I can't really say anything about their other dishes (although people I'm dining with have had them and always like them - I've heard the tilapia is really good). I have lived I Los Angeles and New York and Asian Harbor still has my favorite sushi! The spicy soft shell crab roll and dynamite roll are sooo good!

Rolling through the burbs with my cousins trying to figure out where we want to go for some much needed day drinking. Pull out the trusty Yelp app and survey the area. Asian Harbor pops up on my list and I, being the 'food snood' I sometimes can be, was pretty skeptical about the quality of the offerings. But, they had a website and a link to their menu - something more places in the burbs should have - and I was convinced things would at least be decent after viewing their site. Decent was an underthought. You know, because I didn't state it, it was a thought? C'mon! That can be a word, right??? That's alright. I'll just add it to the special Aise dictionary. You don't have to use it, but you know it makes sense! I digress. Walking in was grand. It really doesn't look like much from the outside. I actually expected it to be quite small, but looks were definitely deceiving. It's quite spacious inside. They used their space well. There's a cozy bar you can sit at for drinks and a even cozier sushi bar. A good amount of comfortable booths that can accommodate 4 people, and a nice variety of sizes when it comes to tabletops. So, if it's just a few people, you don't feel like you may be taking up space from a larger party. And likewise, you can feel like if you bring a larger party, it won't be like you're commandeering the restaurant. I shared Pad Sie Ew and Shrip Fried Rice. I know some places make their Pad Sie Ew too sweet for my liking. I let the waitress know this and she said she would make sure to tell the cook to dial down the sweetness of the sauce. No place in the city has ever offered to do this for me. None! It was always like, "Oh, well... I don't know. Maybe you'll like how we do it?" Then it's like playing a game of chance with me often losing. The Pad Sie Ew was great and almost just to my liking with the sauce. The Shrimp Fried Rice was light and it was the first time I had it was such a short grain rice. I think they used sushi rice for it. It made a difference in I didn't feel so full after eating it. It added texture as well. They also used regular sized shrimp. Whaaaaaaaa? Yes. Such a marked difference all the way 'round. Now, if you remember, our initial quest was day drinking. And, day drinking we did. I got a large hot sake. My two cousins kept getting Lychee Martini after Lychee Martini, so after I had finished my hot sake, I got one too. Mmmmmm..... it has a delicate sweetness that you can't get from a syrup. The flavors and alcohol content were well-balanced. The skewer of actual hollowed lychee fruit made for a simple, but appetizing presentation. At no more than $8 for the martinis, you can happily drink to your heart's content. Or, to your liver's discontent. Our waitress was great. She laughed with us, joked with us, and was attentive enough without being overbearing. She was funny and added to our great time. I'd want her again if I were to go back. So, don't poo-poo drinkerys and eateries in the S. burbs like I was doing. Yes, there are lots of great places in the city, but some great places make their mark outside of the city as well.
(5)Kristin C.
I have only had their sushi, but I am addicted to it. Place is clean and decorated nicely. Their Green River Roll, Indy Roll, and Tropical Mango Rolls..are in my oppinion..THE BEST! I AM GOING BROKE because of this place... :)
(5)Sarah Z.
This place is so good! I love the mussamun curry with the pineapple, very sweet and tasty! The other Thai dishes are absolutely delicious. I have not tried the sushi here or many of the other Japanese dishes.
(5)Jonathan K.
You don't have many ethnic options in the south suburbs. Has a bit of an identity crisis between Thai, Chinese, Japanese. I won't say the food was great, but it was decent. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked. The sauces weren't too salty or sweet. It succeeds more by not making any crucial mistakes. Nice staff too!
(3)Chris H.
The sushi is decent for a place in the burbs. Everything else is pretty good too. Never have had a problem with the service.
(4)Shawne B.
This place was fantastic. We went here with another couple for a simple sushi date night - all four of us left full and satisfied. We will definitely be returning soon!

The hubby and I pre-gamed our Anniversary weekend at this place. The food was OK, we had a good mix of sushi and hot food. Nothing wowed, but there was also nothing that was disappointing. It was perfectly mid-range. I judge every sushi restaurant based upon their Spicy Tuna and here it tastes more like Tuna with jalapeno, no spicy mayo mix. The fish tasted fresh though so that's why I would give this place three stars. The service left something to be desired, our waitress seemed like she was in a rush to get our table out of the door. We are pretty notorious for taking the dinner 'upgrades' if the server offers, like dessert, or after dinner coffee. In this case there was no offer, she just dropped the check off and kept walking. Sucks for her because we are also usually very good tippers but in this case she gave bare minimum and we reciprocated. They do have a nicely priced wine flight though. You can even mix reds, whites, and blushes. Dinner for two (Woohoo for Grandparents and sitters) was 70 including wine and tip.
(3)Jen E.
One of the best sushi places in the area. The restaurant seemed really clean and the service was good. The sushi I had tasted fresh. Will definitely come back!
(5)Kristi D.
Dined here with my husband and two children. Fast service, beautiful restaurant. Friendly, quick service. Most of the food was very good - a few items were just ok (my husbands soup; the fried tofu). Above average sushi - the best we have found near our home so far! The waitress was especially nice to our kids.
(4)Kevin M.
I love this place...I'm also addicted to sushi and this place helps my addiction.
(3)A F.
What a surprise! The sushi here was to die for, and the rolls looked just as appetizing. I visited another sushi restaurant two days later, and I couldn't help but think about the "VIP" that I ate at Asian Harbor. Delish!!!
(5)Jan E.
Lovely Thai restaurant with pretty good fare. Service can be slow. Really slow. But it's nice having a Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.

We tried this place out for the first time on a leisurely afternoon walking along Ridge Road, and we keep returning here when in the mood for tasty Asian. I hate lumping everything together, but this is one of those "Asian Fusion" places, and they have a little bit of everything. Not that we were expecting anything in particular, but the decor kind of took us by surprise a bit, in a good way. The service is also very pleasant. I'm pretty stingy with the 5 stars, but between the relative uniqueness for the location, the friendly service, good-sized menu, and an acceptable price, I feel it is deserved. Appetizer-wise, we always switch off between the crab rangoon and the steamed dumplings. The crab rangoon is usually fried to a nice golden color; sometimes a bit crispy for my taste, but everyone has their own level I guess. I don't know if you could tell if the steamed dumplings were ever off (can you mess up steaming?) but all the same, I have never been disappointed with those. As far as the rolls, my personal favorites are the "Godzilla", "Fireworks", and "Volcano". I can't remember what all is in each one... I usually forget 5 minutes after ordering; each kind has like 5 things in it. But I can tell you that you will not be disappointed by the presentation! Lastly, I always have the biggest sweet tooth, and they have a decent drink menu in the $6-$10 range. This is definitely a place to try if you are in the neighborhood, and even worth it to go out of your way a bit for.

I went to Asian Harbor for the first time last month. I was very impressed! It is a somewhat small, but very cute restaurant in downtown Homewood. The decor was elegant, white linen table clothes, hardwood floors and black seats. The servers were pleasant and very familiar with the menu. I tried sushi there for the 1st time & fell in LOVE! I tried their mango sushi rolls as well as their spicy salmon sushi rolls (there was a specific name for them but i cannot remember.) I also had their lychee martini. It was AWESOME! I would recommend this place for a date or a fun time with some close friends.
(5)Nessie V.
Surprisingly decent for the burbs. I had the Penang curry because they don't have yellow curry. I was a bad vegan and didn't ask about nam pla fish sauce. It was good though, and cheap.
(4)Crystal K.
I've been to Asian Harbor a couple of times, and honestly this place is a goldmine for the suburbs! It's amazing to find such a high-quality sushi restaurant outside of the city. Their menu is complete with a great variety of delicious and well-prepared sushi, as well as hot dishes, their service is excellent, and the atmosphere is even better. I've been there for a girl's night, a business dinner, and an anniversary dinner, and it works for all three occasions. This restaurant is definitely a favorite.
(5)S W.
You can't go wrong with Asian Harbor! The decor is beautiful and atmosphere very peaceful. All of the sushi rolls are awesome, but our favorite is Spicy Girl. Also LOVE their pad thai!
(5)Beth R.
Great environment and great sushi! We've been here a couple times and actually took my parents out for their first sushi experience here. Always good food and service and its a really a clean and fresh looking place.
(5)Kym T.
Mmmm, so good. We ordered 4 entrees for 2 people...obviously planning to take some home. The waitress said to my male friend, "that's alot of food" in her heavy accent. It was so funny!! If you coulda seen my friend's shameful look. I love this place.
(5)Alexis M.
This place is slightly pricier than the other sushi places near by but worth it.. you can taste the extra money you're paying. The atmosphere is nice too.. welcoming. Sometimes it can take a while to receive a simple order like tea but that doesn't happen too often. Great stuff.
(4)Joanna T.
The first time I ate there soon after it opened, the food was outstanding. As the years go by this place is losing its tasty food and great service. Last time I dropped by for lunch was just a month ago. July 2012. Service was mediocre, place was empty. The Spicy beef was only ok, the soup was bland, and we took nearly 2 hours between being seated and leaving.
(2)D. T.
Beautiful place in downtown Homewood! Very Clean and Chic! Excellent Food at reasonable prices! Very nice non-smoking atmosphere! Very friendly staff!
(5)aj b.
Everything is near perfection at Asian Harbor, especially their rolls: fresh, delicious and big :) Lunch specials rock, not just with tasty food, but with prices as well. Everything I had there was always top notch! Service always outstanding plus walking distance from my house also not too shabby :) Love this place and highly recommend!

With having 80 degree, a good time at the park with the kids, and this being right next door to my mom. Why not go to Asian Harbor? The hubby, my two girls(8 and 10 months),and I came here on a Thursday night for dinner. We stumbled in here around 6 pm. They were not busy at all and we were seated fast. We started off with crab Rangoon and Thai chicken egg rolls. Both were delish, but not a WOWZER. For our entrees we had orange chicken and pad Thai fried rice with chicken. It was very fresh. I have to say, that the ambiance is beautiful. I will be attempting to replicate some things in my new home. Lastly, one of WGN'S anchors from I think windy city Chicago was there and you would've thought that Michele O. walked in. My waitress left our table ,went to her car ,and got a camera to get a picture with her. I thought it was cute. Other than that, I will be back maybe for a girls night out, and I will try sushi for my first time.

Does a fine job with 3 different cuisines (Thai, Japanese, and Chinese). Great when you want a little of everything. Good cocktails, great lunch deals and excellent service.
(4)Anthony A.
7.0/10 As a rule, Pan-Asian places tend to bomb in my book. My rationale? I'd prefer to see a restaurant focus on one cuisine and really excel in that direction than to wage a multi-front battle whilst juggling a concept that transcends such concentration. That said, I was thrilled to see that dive dress shop with the gimpy mannequins across the street from the post office turn into the Great Hope of Homewood. This place is beautiful inside - downright elegant. The bar is attractively lit and chic, and the sushi bar is at once warm and modern, with clean Asian lines mingling with organic branches inlaid into the structure itself. Even the bathrooms are stylish. The menu is ambitious and certainly has more breadth and depth than any other restaurant (regardless of cuisine) in the area. Take your choice between Thai or Japanese. In my first trip, I had to try the Thai. My wife and I have threefold benchmark measure of a Thai restaurant: Tom Yum with shrimp, Pad Thai with tofu and red curry with chicken. You know what? They were all pretty plain, lacking spice or a citrus kick, and skimpy on vegetables. I'm bummed to read that others have had the same issues with the potatoes being undercooked. On my second trip, my massaman curry was watery and impenetrable with those brick-like potatoes. My third and fourth visits focused on the Japanese side of the menu. I love miso soup - nothing like a hearty cup of tofu on a chilly day. Well, this is better than another nearby option, and certainly better than those awful packets you make at home... but not that much better. The salads feature less-than-surprising iceberg lettuce, but I'm here to tell you that the sesame dressing is perfect (on the side). The lunch specials are a good deal. I've tried various maki rolls, nigiri and sashimi. The fish is fresh, but it's kinda dull in flavor. I don't do mayo in my rolls and don't care for spicy oil to mask the flavor of the fish - so, I have to make alterations with some of their special rolls. I'm sure the tempura is what one would expect, but it's not for me. Above all, it's nice to have a local place like this for a business lunch or date option. If I hadn't ventured to the city and tried hundreds of other Thai and Japanese places, I'd think that I had died and gone to heaven, right here in Homewood. I can't possibly hold that against the owners. For Southland palates, this is exotic and otherworldly - and a much more exciting option than the disappointing Bamboo Blue (except for drinks maybe), and the friendly, but sadly deficient Little Tokyo. It may be mediocre, but I doubt that will keep me away when its this convenient. I just wish the price point were maybe a dollar less on each entree.
(3)Doug H.
This place has been getting better every time since it opened last winter. The staff last night was the best yet and I'm working my way around the menu to see what I like the best. I thought the shrimp tempura was really good. It included a nice variety of vegetables along with the shrimp and it was pretty light. The Spicy Girl roll was really tasty too. I'm especially impressed by the fact that when the menu says spicy they mean it. It hasn't been all watered down. Good sauces and of course ginger and wasabi come with almost everything.
(4)Daniel B.
Very good sushi! The VIP rolls are a great option. It's unusual to find a place like this on the southside...hope it stays around for a good long while. I'd highly recommend this to folks who like Thai or Japanese food...especially sushi.
(4)Erin T.
I'm a regular here (so much so, the staff know me) and love everything! Whether Thai or sushi, it's a win!

NOTE: update on 2008.03.08, scroll to bottom . . . We went last night, first week of operation. Just as with Pat R., they apologized almost immediately for "working out the kinks." Summary: Siam-Thai in Flossmoor is still much better southland Thai, though Asian Harbor gets bonus points for having great sushi. We had a spider maki, and it was fantastic. I am much less enthusiastic about the Thai component of our dinner. My supposedly spicy entree, red curry, was so mild I could barely tell it was Thai. I understand, from speaking later to a maitre d', that if you ask them up front to make it "Thai spicy" they will power it up, but they definitely seem to be chickening out on the spices to keep the Thai-clueless newbies coming in. They don't tell you about that at the beginning of your meal. My curry was a bit watery. I asked for the shrimp red curry and they inexplicably brought chicken instead. The waitress visited our table infrequently, and I was hungry so I went ahead and ate it, and complained afterwards. I was waiting for rice to come, but it never arrived. I asked the waitress about it, and she said rice was a separate item. I had never ordered Thai curry at a restaurant and not gotten rice with the curry. How am I supposed to eat it, like soup? So she brought rice compliments of the house. It was still a bit light on vegetables, so I count five strikes against it: too mild; not very flavorful; wrong meat; light on vegetables; no rice. Debbie got the spicy basil noodles and really enjoyed them. The Tam Kha soup that I ordered was not as flavorful as I would have liked. Debbie liked her Tom Yum soup, but she generally is not as big a fan of spice / hot / michi as I am. The booth table where they seated us was a bit cold so I had to wear my coat. Also, many of the booth tables are a bit dark, they need candles or additional lighting on those tables. Asian Harbor I hope you get better! Your location is great, the restaurant looks nice and upscale, but you are no competition for the other local Asian bistros. 2008.03.08 UPDATE: I have upgraded the restaurant to 4 stars. Service is much better, and the sushi's still great. I had the chili catfish last night, it was really good and something I haven't had before at a Thai restaurant. Good job Asian Harbor!
(4)nan B.
I really like this restaurant! The decor is very hip. From from the Jasmine tea to the delightful meal everything was fragrant and tasty. We had the steamed dumplings for an appetizer. They were sooo flavorful and fresh; I could have made a meal of them! The Penang Duck was awesome. The Mussuman Curry was very good as well. I will go back again!
