Please. Will management fix the obnoxious squeak in the inner vestibule, right entry door. They know what causes this condition. Once I complained and the answer was, "that's how we know someone is walking in". I was not amused. In fact, multiple doors squeak badly. The men's' room door is equally bad. The building is a little over a decade old. Why does it have tendencies of Bates Motel or Boo Radley's Place. One word for you: WD-40.

I don't eat in, as this place is constantly overrun with kids that their parents seem to just let take over the place. But the food is consistently good, the service friendly , and they make a mean cup of tortilla soup! And while parking can sometimes be an issue in downtown Hinsdale, know that there are some short term parking spots along Garfield that open up pretty regularly. Now if only those parents could get their kids under control so I could enjoy my meal in peace . . . . .

Oh vey!! First it took forever to order! Then they too FOR. EVER. to make our very simple to-go order. Then they gave me all gluten free when I had asked for one of the items to be gf. Then they forgot two items, only one of which did I realize on time. Honestly, it was a nightmare. Never again.

CHECK YOUR ORDER! I don't know why we keep getting take-out from here, they always mess up the order. My son is eating reheated pizza leftover rather than the grilled cheese we ordered for him and paid for. I'm done, I'll drive the extra distance if necessary to avoid these problems. And here is the Chicken Pomodoro panini, I received, note the complete absence of namesake tomatoes and the three tiny pieces of Chicken. Mostly, a Basil-and-cheese sandwich. Terrible management here?

I DO NOT think this place even deserves 1 star. I'd give it 0 if that was an option! The wait here is RIDICULOUS! The staff does not show any sign of urgency in getting your order or food out to you in a timely fashion. Yesterday during the beginning of the lunch rush, the pop machine ran out of ice! Shouldn't they fill that BEFORE lunch begins? And then since they move so slowly, it took 10 minutes to get someone to FILL IT! There was actually a line at the pop machine of people waiting to get ice! Then it took over 15 minutes to get our lunches, which were soup (which are already prepared) and salads. REALLY!? I went to a cashier to ask her about the ice and she ignored me! Then I went back to ask about my lunch and they told me that it was coming... more than 15 minutes later. You can order the lunch combos that include a cookie and should be offered immediately. However, you basically have to beg to get your cookie... I will not be eating here again nor do I recommend it to anyone! I do not know how is managing this place, but it's horrible and the only reason it doesn't close down is because it's food is the only decent food in the downtown Hinsdale area that isn't a sit down full-service restaurant.

Not worth putting up with the kids running around unsupervised. It's like eating at a McDonald's playground. Don't even bother complaining...it's Hinsdale after all.

A reliable stop for salads, baked goods, lunches. Also, family dinners - along with other young parents. A good chance you'll see other too-busy-to-cook-tonight parents getting out without having to worry about quality or freshness.

For whatever reason, this Corner Bakery has been managed poorly for years. They'll leave one sluggish person at the register while lines form out the door. That person will have to pour drinks, wrap desserts, sell baked goods, and take money. Five others within sight will be busy doing something other than taking care of the customers in line. The other Chicago CB stores I've been in don't have these problems. What's up with the management in Hinsdale?

**This review is solely for the catering** On Tuesday, I ordered catering for a meeting on Friday. Ten minutes after calling, I realised this was the first Friday of lent. 16 half sandwiches containing meats would not work! What if there were Catholics among us?!?! I called back. "She stepped out but she can call you back, Elizabeth." (Of course, this was after I spelled my name three times for her - is Elizabeth that strange of a name?) Two hours go by - no call, no voice mail, but I did receive the email confirmation of my Christian unfriendly order. I call back. They change the order. I get another email confirmation. Score! I ordered it to be delivered at 11 am. The catering guru at Corner Bakery said it would be between 10:45-11:15. The office is in Woodridge so this seemed acceptable. Food arrived around 11:10. I was able to set it up and people were noshing down by 11:20. They include everything one could need - even plastic tongs for the salad! The client was pleased with the lunch so win-win for us. I would definitely order catering for a small group from them again; however, I would likely use their online ordering system rather than call and be forced to speak with the employees. They seemed rather slow in the head.

Yesterday, I went to the downtown Hinsdale Corner Bakery with two co-workers. Two of us ordered some sort of Panini, which was supposed to consist of turkey, bacon, tomatoes & swiss cheese. Although I have eaten here many times before, they apparently are on some sort of conservation program when it comes to providing meat on a sandwich. I received exactly one thin slice of turkey on my sandwich. It was basically a $7.95 grilled cheese sandwich with a touch of bacon that also was sliced so thin that although you could see it, there really was nothing to taste. To top it off, the sliced tomatoes were rather dry and tough. My co-worker was served his sandwich in the same manner. On my way out, I mentioned my displeasure to the cashier. This place is off my list and I will never go back here for lunch again.

I love corner bakery, this one is awful. I waited 20 minutes for my salad to go. I included the new shrimp option. Thank god Ij didn't eat it in the place cuz I would have made a scene. They told me it took so long cuz of cooking the shrimp but jeez, I couldn't even chew those shrimp, They were hard as a rock. And they want an extra $2 for that?? Man.....gross

I don't know, but this location needs to change their name to "Corner Bakery and Day Care." The three times I have been in here in the morning, the same gaggle of mothers are clustered in a group of corner tables, while their unattended hellions run wild. Not the fault of the place itself. But I have to give credit to the amazing staff that can put up with it. I have seen many a near mishaps, with the food runners precariously balancing trays of food, while practicing contortions in order to avoid the children running amok. It is graceful, almost choreographed. And all the staff I've encountered remain friendly and helpful through it all. The food is the standard Corner Bakery stuff. Slightly overpriced bagels, breakfast sandwiches, limited brownies and other treats oatmeal, deli sandwiches, and salads. But the coffee has always been fresh.

I am giving the 5 stars because the have free wi-fi, this is not a great plus for us used to the silicon valley but it is such a luxury in Hinsdale. I spent many times here "working" while on a family visit to Hinsdale, it is not too loud, the food is also good. Coffee cake is very tasty, chicken pomodoro sandwich and the pasta's are tasty as well. Granola and oatmeal, always a good choice. Ordered some platter for a recent wake and they were absolutely prompt and very nice. They delivered too, even though they don't have delivery that day

This cute little cafe is located right in downtown Hinsdale, and it's the perfect place to pick up a bite for lunch while shopping at the cute stores. I love the variety of food that they carry; from salads to paninis to sandwiches to pasta, there is plenty to satisfy both veggies and meater eaters alike. One thing, though - be careful of some of the salads - I typically love a good salad, but upon doing an article on healthy eating, I discovered that some of their salads can top out at over 900 calories - half a daily allotment! Doesn't leave much room for wine or dessert, does it? I do like that they publish their nutritional information on their website, as it makes choices much easier. This location is clean and quaint.
