Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Love it! Love it! They make the freshest guacamole and chips! The salsa - yummy! Love their burritos and tacos. They always serve you with a smile. They always have the freshest ingredients and we don't mind waiting if they have to make something from scratch. They offer specials on Wednesdays and they cater!

...being mexican I'm very picky with my tacos...was looking for authentic mexican taco place, was glad came across this one. Love their steak tacos with onion and cilantro. Side of rice, beans, carrots, everything was delicious. Will go back again.

Good Stuff Indeed! This place is within walking distance from me and I have yet to try it out until now. They were doing a brisk lunch business and the place was pretty busy but they got to me and got me my order quickly. This is a small place with a few tables but it more of a take out place. Although I hae had better steak on my tacos before, these were not shabby at all. Everything was fresh the way it should be. This place was a very good value as they stuffed my tacos to overflowing and the prices are very reasonable. I'll be back!

As much as I would love to give everything in my hometown a good review, some things just don't make the grade. And this is one of the places that don't. Housed in a strip mall storefront that within the past four years has also been home to a pizza place, a Harold's Chicken, a small deli, and a few other attempts. I stopped in here for a quick lunch. First off, there is no menu, just a few signs on the walls, so you place your order by guessing what they have. I got a couple of steak tacos, which were a little dry, but helped out by the hot sauce that accompanied them. I also had guac and chips ( I am a guacamole addict). The guac was obviously fresh and homemade, thick and chunky. But I really would have liked to eat it. The chips were stale, and probably were fresh about the time that God drove Satan out of heaven. So I attempted to bite down on one, and ended up chipping my damned tooth on the petrified corn chip. That pretty much ended the meal. One star for the effort of opening in a location that only has had meager luck with food places.

If you can find this place then consider yourself lucky. It's diamond in the rough and you must be Aladin. And by rough I mean rough. The strip mall that Don Tono is in the corner of looks like it was staged for demolition a couple years ago and then everyone forgot. It's a desolate parking lot that has a slight "I'm going to get mugged" feeling to it. It seriously looks like they intentionally were trying to hid the strip mall behind the gas station and whatever the other store is on the front lot. Enough of the building, in this cave of wonders that is Don Tono you will find some seriously good mexican food. They put up a solid burrito here. Size is ample, distribution of meat/lettuce/tomatoes/other crap was excellent and the inevitable burrito shell fold of sadness was the thinnest I have ever encountered and made my day. The tacos were good as well, the steak was a lot better than the chicken, but the pork was pretty kick ass. We didn't try anything else this trip, but if back out in this area again I will definitely be stopping here.

Our favorite Mexican hole in the wall. The food is delicious; the service is quick; the price is reasonable. We go usually a couple times per month. The place is run by a guy and his daughters. Don't be fooled by the location in the deep corner of a semi-deserted strip mall. They're doing it right because the rent is probably cheap but the food is good. Hopefully this means they'll be around for a while.

Best guac ever. Great chicken tacos. Burritos not up to par though. Place is kind of like a hole in the wall and a bit dirty.

This is our go to taco place for where we live. They're quick, and everything we have ever tried is delicious. The girls who work the register are always nice. I'll be sad when we move away to lose out on such a delicious place. They have a good family meal deal for take out only, but you're not allowed to get the carne asada for the tacos. Bummer - but the al pastor is delicious too.

This place is awesome and local. Good fresh stuff awesome guacamole, and I'm addicted to their steak tacos... I'm glad I found this place

The food was all very tasty. The tacos are very small however, seems like portions are a bit small for the price. Also seems like the kind of place that nickels and dimes you to death. Besides that food was all good.

Incredibly authentic, top quality ingredients and great prices. The staff is always extremely friendly when we dine in and the have TV while you wait. GREAT FOOD FOR THE VALUE!

Not impressed with their food. Very bland taste and they mess up my stuff a lot. Over priced for the lack of taste and lack of quality.

This is our go to taco place ! Everything is always so fresh and the workers are awesome. My family wouldn't go anywhere else for Mexican food .

Their steak tacos are good but small. I also hate how they nickel and dime you if you want flour tortillas and cheese added. I'll be sticking with jaliscos in Burbank, which isn't to far away. Their tacos are bigger and full of more meat and toppings and they don't nickel and dime you for everything.

I'm a huge fan of family owned businesses, very sweet people. The food is good (we love the steak 7 cilantro tacos) and their guac is VERY good. The only complaint I have is they are frequently out of rice and my 7 yr old can't get enough of it!

We came in after a recommendation from my fiancé's cousin. It's a small little place that is very easy to miss if you don't know about it. The food is awesome. We got a taco special: two steak tacos, rice, beans, and a drink for $6.50. We added on chips and pico de gallo. Everything was delicious. Very authentic and so good. The food came out pretty fast too. We will be returning. Great food for a great price. :)
