WE ALL SCREAM I actually read the other bad Yelp reviews, after I ate and left this location, so I was really surprised my experience was really good . First I must say...why do people order food here? I've never in my long life ever considered eating anything other then ice cream at a DQ. The dairy part is the dead give away to me. So I have no sympathy for people with bad hot food reviews at DQ. Honestly this place isn't called Chili Dog Queen. Secondly I did not see any of the bad attitudes mentioned in the other posted reviews. We walked in here, after a long day of fun roller coasters at Six Flags. We had tried to find this DQ two years ago but it is hidden from Grand Avenue. It is actually on old Grand Avenue. You kind of have to come in the back way to get to this location. If I was going to complain about anything I would complain about how hidden this place is. The staff seemed pleasant and we ordered our ice cream. My wife and I chose to share a peanut Buster parfait, which is my favorite. The little one had a small sundae with strawberries and whipped cream. Our orders were completed very quickly. I was actually surprised at how fast they were. The location inside is kind of like a long banquet room with no windows. The only windows are at the front of the store. I kind of wished they had some tables outside. Ice cream is kind of meant to be eaten outdoors on a summer night. Adding tables could be easily done considering how large the parking lot is. My peanut Buster parfait tasted exactly how I remembered it. It has probably been over 4 years since I had one. I know it's my favorite but it's not the healthiest option in the world. It is nice every once in a while to treat yourself to something bad. So to recap. Never get food at a place called Dairy Queen and if you do you can't complain about it. DQ was meant for ice cream and ice cream only. If you're going to scream about anything you scream for ice cream.

Every time I try this place I'm thoroughly disappointed. From their sundaes to their blizzards, the desert items ALWAYS let me down and ALWAYS have very little toppings. This includes anything with brownies, cookies, candies, etc. Who wants to eat a blizzard with a crumb of Butterfinger every three bites? Not me! The management seems to be very cheap and doesn't care about making customers happy or making their desserts live up to standard. If I want Dairy Queen, I'll drive the extra 15 minutes and go to the one in Round Lake just to avoid this place.

So my husband was hell bent on getting a chili dog. I wasn't in favor of stopping here based on bad reviews and location. Our selections were fine but the service SUCKED!!! I didn't feel welcome and the staff didn't appear to be interested in working. Never again. I refuse to be tolerated where I spend money. Ugh..

Horrible service!!! The manager Sonja made my 5 year old cry!! He had a valid coupon for a $1 cone that came in the mail she would accept it because our neighbor used a coupon and it's one per customer, she didn't value him as a customer. He gets a quarter everytime he picks up his toys and saved to get it. She wanted to be rude and didn't care about customer service. Never again! Go to oberweiss that is only 1 mile away.

Dairy Queen. A place of delicious frosty concoctions for a hot summer day and sometimes a bite to eat. I accidentally went to this location instead of my usual and decided to try it. The blizzard was good but that's hard to mess up. The service however was dreadful. A twenty minute wait for a chili cheese dogs! Preposterous! The buns had to be unfrozen, the chili microwaved, and no compensation beyond a simple sorry. Skip out and go to a different location as this one is sorely lacking, with poor service and no french fries or burgers to be accounted for. I've had better service at a street corner hot dog stand.

I went there 3 months ago and I got a double cherry sundae and I found a piece of plastic in my sundae and I told the girl that works that oh I'm so sorry and she was not sorry and if she was and she would not do it in the first place and that's a safety hazard and when they put a piece of plastic in my sundae and I was so mad and I walked out and I took my business somewhere else.
