Great little spot for breakfast! Just like a diner! We got there @ noon on a saturday and there was a wait but the line moved quickly. We were able to be sat in 5-10 min. The food was great! I had eggs with sausage, pancakes and hash browns! They have their own fresh squeezed oj! However they gave us the wrong omelet, so make sure what's inside it is what you ordered!

Food was ok. Homage corned beef hash was odd. The consistency of the meat was similar to that of Underwood Corned beef Spread from a can...and not much of it. Service was ok. Server smiled but it was canned as well. Atmosphere was loud, not as clean as it should be and the booth I was sat at was exceedingly tight. Funny smell like dirty dish rags. Value is subpar. Expensive for what you get.

NO Changing table for kids in the men's bathroom! This place has pretty good food, in fact the service I experience was excellent *or Eggcellence but they need to get modern and add a changing table for kids in the men's room. I happen to be there without my wife and had my 1 year old. If they had a changing table I'd give them 4 stars.

I have experienced the eggsperience many times. Usually the eggsperience starts when other nearby breakfast places had a frickin long wait, lo and behold, we found ourselves parked right in front on the prime spot facing the front door of Eggsperience. That's when expletives started going off in my head. I usually come here with friends and they have a little one so they always go the easy route. Dutch baby pancakes, baked apple pancakes, and homemade corned beef hash you say??? Oh those sounded so good but we couldn't wait half hour at the Original Pancake House or Egg Harbor Cafe. Let's just get eggsperienced. No offense, but there's just nothing special about this place. Everything just tasted and looked a bit less of everything compared to other places. Granted their menu is pretty extensive complete with healthier choices and seemingly higher quality stuff, but the taste has always been just ok. Everything is just mediocre at best. Just not what I wanted to fill my tummy when I'm in town from far away. I had better breakfast at a Cracker Barrel. The service is always pleasant and I was surprised that they actually served my Earl Grey tea in a pot with freshly brewed loose leafs. That was a nice touch. However, we always end up just ordering two eggs with a choice of meat with hash brown with toast or pancake. You can't really f that up but even so the hash brown was just a pile of limp shreds of potatoes with no taste. I wish I had an eggcelent eggsperience here. However my eggsperience has been eggsplosively eggspletive in content usually starts with the letter f and ends with the letter k.

Zero complaints. I come here often and have yet to have a bad "eggsperience." I normally choose between a Benedict or an Omelet. Come hungry! The food portions are enormous.

I'm not exactly a breakfast person, but the menu at eggsperience has a meal for everyone. You can get all different types of eggs, toast, coffee, orange juice. It's a cute place, it can get crowded and loud. The service is good. The portions are just right. The prices are competitive.

We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed! We only had to wait a few short minutes! We got a booth and a menu that just wouldn't quit. We ordered a fresh mango juice...but what we got was what tasted like Frooti, an indian mango drink with high fructose. I would hardly call that a fresh mango juice. The skillet was good and the hash browns were well done, just like we asked! It came with a side of pancakes. We upgraded to have the strawberry cheesecake pancakes! We liked our meal and our server was friendly...it's a great brunch spot!

The menu is pretty large with your usual breakfast affair. Got the Irish Bennie (Corn Beef Hash Benedict) it was pretty good. Pancakes are standardly average, got charged $3.50 for a side of strawberries for those plain cakes. Not bad food, just expected more for a brunch spot thats in the Glen.

Great service, but the food is Meh. I ordered the corn beef hash and the corn beef tasted and looked like it came from a can. It was actually kind of gross. The eggs and hash browns were decent. But not enough to save the meal.

This is a great breakfast place. Even on a Sunday morning, the wait isn't too long. Te staff is quick and very friendly. Also, their food is good and their selection is good. For some reason, whenever I go there, I try to be healthy as possible. It could be the colors of the place. It makes me want to eat light food. I think it's a good place to go to every Sunday. There is a parking garage nearby so you shouldn't have the problem of driving around in circles when you're starving.

Eggsperience in the Glen has the right combination of food, service and setting. Very nice service every time, for dine in or carry out. Favorites include their French toast and waffles, but everything is good. Their lunch is very good as well. Always busy, but efficient. Highly recommend

For the Glen I had high hopes for a bomb brunch spot that I could go to easily. I LOVE breakfast food and you really can't go wrong with it whether it's just eating eggs and sausage to a skillet or french toast. Compared to other brunch spots the menu is very limited and nothing really unique. Corn beef skillet is good no complaints. I LOVE French Toast and LOVE Nutella so I figured you can't go wrong because I LOVE anything sweet. I got the Nutella French Toast with strawberries and there was too much Nutella on it I had to scrape it off which was not easy to do because they make their french toast more toasty than soft so it was like I was just spreading it deeper into toast. It was soo much I just stopped eating it. The wait is always long here and the waiting seating area is small along with the restaurant so you usually have to stand around crowding the narrow front entrance and when it's cold it's definitely not worth the wait. It's also pricey for nothing

Not too bad. The best part of the meal was the strawberry milkshake I borrowed some sips of that my boyfriend ordered. My frittata was more like an omelette. Although the portion was large, it wasn't anything special. The service was good since i asked for my hash browns to be crispy and the gal made sure she didn't bring them out till they were just so.

First impression : pleasant, bright and airy An upscale, trendy breakfast place - but still a breakfast place. :-) The place is clean and definitely family friendly, but would "feel" more like a nice place to return if it didn't seem to put on airs - we are just talking breakfast - not Breakfast at Tiffany's. Still, the food is good - not great - just good. The atmosphere is new and updated - a little futurist, and very clean. The service was expedient - nothing overly friendly - guarded I might say. Trendy also means a bit overpriced for what you get, without much explanation for why, other than they can charge as much as the public will allow.

They really do pack us in here. That is the biggest negative about this place. So many times I was worried the server would drop food or worse, spill coffee, on me while she was maneuvering tight spaces. The next time I dine here I'm sticking with the booths because the tables are just too crowded. The food? The food was OK. The menu is pretty big, standard breakfast fare--pancakes, eggs, egg dishes, waffles, etc. I opted for the eggs benedict and it was ok. Pretty hard to mess that up. I also asked for my hasbrowns to be crispy--well don't ever ask for that because they came out totally burnt and black. I can't believe they let that come out of the kitchen. Oh well, live and learn. My son's pancakes and sausage looked good, although his pancakes were crumbly and fell apart--I don't know why that would happen (no syrup mushing them up), but he ate them so I guess he didn't mind. My cousin's Picante scrambler was delicious. I'm glad she shared it with me. Flavorful and spicy--this was the best one at the table. Coffee (strong and flavorful coffee) and water carafe placed on the table. Many check ins from our server. Sunny space. Clean bathrooms.

Two kids meals $17. Added a sprinkle of cheese to eggs and choc. chips to pancakes on kids meals and paid nearly double the cost of the original meal. $3.27 for choc. chips and cheese. I brought this to managers attention and she shrugged it off. If I had it to do over I would order kids meal w eggs and a choc. Chip pancake meal and split them for less money. Would have appreciated the server suggesting this. Over priced mediocre food.

I've gone to a lot of breakfast places in the area and Eggsperience has some positives and negatives. The menu is very big and there's a lot of options. I feel like the service is okay but the waiters and waitresses are not as friendly as some other breakfast places. They are also located at the end of the Glen away from most of the more busier parts of the mall. Parking can be an issue if the mall is really busy. Overall, I feel the food is good but I haven't had anything to die for yet.

Maybe it is because I didn't want to go to this place but was open to try something new since we've recently moved to the area. The place was empty but we were early. I was immediately turned off by the condition of the table where we were seated, it was falling apart and there were 2 oddball chairs that were stained (gross). We got situated so that we weren't going to ruin our clothes or get splinters from the table and looked at the menu. There was a special Mother's Day menu which had decent selections however I found that $9.95 for a waffle with no sides and an orange slice was a little much. Our total bill was $52 for 2 adults and 2 kids ordering off the kid's menu, for breakfast! That's a bit steep when most everything was a la carte. I think I'll skip this place for a few months and try out some other places.

OMG this was a 2pm lunch with the family of 4 when we got there we were seated right away in a front booth when all of a sudden an older man starts screeming like a mad man in the restaurant in 25 years of dining out we have NEVER seen such low class less act by anyone let alone an owner and then to have the wait staff apologize fot the owner shows us that these people do not deserve any business To any managers o of this place show some class to your staff and most of all your customers that was a typical Greek act . Tastless & Rude after all your place is not all that its just another egg place be real.

The restaurant is located In the Glen which is a very nice location, great to walk around and hang out/shop, many many great restaurants here. 3.99 for a cup of OJ was a little unexpected, but it was very pulpy so therefore maybe it was worth it. My friend and I shared the spicy chicken wrap and buffalo chicken wrap. The spicy chicken wrap wasn't spicy at all, but the buffalo chicken wrap was what I expected. However, the wraps weren't really packed very well; it was very oversized and loose so my wrap kept on exploding. I wasn't very impressed by the wrap, although they came in really big portions so I was very filled. Sweet potato fries were just mediocre. According to other reviews, I'd have to go with pancakes or eggs. many voices, babies crying, adults chatting. It was a bit noisy. I liked the egg-filled design of the restaurant though. Our waiters were so friendly and eager to do their best. I really appreciated their effort. However, the cash register lady was very harsh and stern. She wasn't willing to listen to my confusion and got very annoyed with our non-split check issue. We ended up paying for each other's food items even though we made it very clear which food items were ours. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it definitely ruined my experience here.

There's always a wait when I come but the line moves fairly quickly. Service is friendly and very quick, food always comes out fast. Strawberry banana smoothies are very good, wide variety of options. I'm not a sweet breakfast person but if you are there are plenty of fun crepes, French toasts, and pancakes with fruits and chocolates and nutellas. I love their omlettes, hash browns, and frittatas. They give u a lot of food for your money.

I love this place! Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, my order is always ready quickly, and the food is great--I've never had something I didn't like. Highly recommended--I love the huevos rancheros and the mushroom skillet. My boyfriend loves the benedicts and the make-your-own scramblers.

Getting two stars only for the food because it is great! The place is nice however, the service is very disheartening to the point last time I went there I got up and left and walked to yard house! Do yourself a favor and do not seat customers at a make shift table near the bathroom/kitchen.

  • Heather M.

The food was decent. Very small portions. But the service was awful. My waitress was impolite to say the least. She acted as if every request was difficult for her. I had to ask for the same thing three times in a row. I would not go back again.

My friend and I came to Eggsperience early Friday morning after a failed attempt at IHOP (their chef wasn't there when they opened and we wanted to eat somewhere quick due to work!). We were seated immediately at Eggsperience since we were their only customers..it might be because we were there 5 minutes after they opened hah. Service was very quick here and I was pleased with that! We were able to order and eat our food within 45 minutes. The reason I only gave 3 stars was for the food. I ordered the Tommy Boy's skillet with a side of pancakes and my friend had the Cook's Calling Omelette. My skillet was basically a heart attack in a pan but how can you say no to bacon, sausage and ham in addition to eggs and diced potatoes?! However, my skillet wasn't anything special. The diced potatoes were slightly soggy and I prefer mine crisp on the outside and soft on the inside (like Egg Harbors house potatoes). The meats were warm but not hot and the side of pancakes weren't impressive. The pancakes were too heavy and doughy for my taste; I like mine light and airy. Overall I had an ok experience but if I had to choose a favorite breakfast place in the area, it's still Egg Harbor hands down. Sorry eggsperience but my experience here wasn't that great.

I've never been here later than 10 am so I'm guessing the best thing to do is wake up early and get there before it gets busy. I've never felt crowded there, as I read other reviews say. As a matter of fact the place has these high ceilings that give you the impression that you're eating in a Chicago loft or something trendy. My daughter loves the Mickey Mouse pancakes. We always have fun with the kids' menu, especially playing a logic game about chickens. All the plates here are HUGE. And I say this being a BIG eater. My favorite is the sausage links and a simple two egg scrambled omelette. My husband always orders the more filling omelets, which he always says are good and very filling. They serve fresh juice here. We tried a pitcher of pomegranate juice and it was Delicious! They have papaya and I love that as well. The strawberry cheesecake waffles are AMAZING. The servers have always been courteous to us but many of them are Spanish speaking so if you're gonna say something specific, say it clearly and maybe double check they understood. Or, say it in Spanish. Welcome to the Chicago suburbs, baby.

Horrible experience. Our first and last time at this place. The food was disgusting. Runny eggs.. raw hash browns.. the place is not clean. Silverware had food crust and the glasses had spots all over. The waiter was not attentive at all. We ate just a bit of our food because we were starving and ran out. Please skip this restaurant.

Excellent restaurant for breakfast and large families. Always enjoy wide assortment of dishes and excellent service. Kelly is the best server ever and was especially nice to our three infants

On my last visit to Eggsperience, I had a really enjoyable experience, minus the tight booths (I'm barely 5'2", and I felt cramped). My iced caramel macchiato was delicious. The ham and cheese quesadilla hit the spot (and was atleast 2 more meals' worth, after I finished my brunch), and the best part of all was the service! Rarely am I impressed by the service when I'm at a restaurant that's bustling for Sunday brunch, but Sarah was stellar! I made it a point to mention this to the manager (or someone who looked like a manager...) before we left too. Though she didn't spend an abundance of time with us (busy busy busy!), she was attentive. When K asked if the only whipped butter they had was the single serve, cold ones they put on the table, she didn't just give a disgruntled one-word answer. Rather, she explained that the health department didn't approve of them heating and leaving butter out; she went a step farther by offering to heat up some butter for him. It doesn't sound like much, but it's the little things, people! On the way out, I hardly had to ask for a to-go cup for the remainder of my giant macchiato. Sarah was on top of it. And she complimented me on my eye makeup (K said she is one smart woman) to boot.

Breakfast food is my ultimate favorite. I was super excited to see what eggsperience was all about so I went in on a Saturday morning. The place was packed but thankfully there was no wait. Fun and family friendly environment! The servers were very nice and would check in often. Their omelets however could be better. It tasted exactly like something I that I could get from a local IHOP. The chocolate chip pancakes that my friend ordered however were delicious!

I tried this spot out over Labor Day weekend, and they were very accommodating to our party with two babies and the high chairs and space we needed. The food came out quickly, which was greatly appreciated. However, my scramble came out with bacon (even though I asked for turkey sausage twice when ordering). If the food runner had not mentioned it was bacon, I may have eaten it, which is a problem given I eat no pork products. I did appreciate, however, that they quickly remade my food. The main reason I felt compelled to write this review is the staggering charge of $4.49 for a banana on the side for one of the babies. After we received the bill, we inquired to see if an error had been made because who would charge nearly $5 for a banana that cost less than a quarter, right? Well, you found the place that will do that, my friends. That's right, $4.49 for a banana on the side and no mention at the time of ordering or on the menu that the cost for a banana on the side is $4.49. I live in Chicago and no one has had the gall to even charge that much in the city. It's really unbelievable and a reason I will never return.

Ate here for brunch yesterday and it's as good as it gets for a laid back brunch. I don't understand why people are rating it 1-2 stars. You're paying about $10 for breakfast food, If you're looking for an experience of being blown away for $10 for waffles and coffee, then you might be looking for something else. Great tasting brunch, fast service, friendly service, attentive service, nice relaxing atmosphere and good for children (crayons and drawing with good kids menu). This is as good as it gets for the price.

Nice and Clean place to eat breakfast. A bit crowded in weekends because tables are so close to each other. Their egg white delite is excellent and love their espresso drinks.

A convenient location for Northbrook/Glenview residents. Friendly and kind staff and their beverages are always fresh and delicious. Although their food is not my favorite, they have a good selection and food is very flavorful. The only downside I have experienced thus far is when they changed their menu on father's day, which had a limited selection with higher prices.

This place is an Eggsperience, with great food, coffee, juice fresh squeezed and more. Many of the dishes are very flavorful and cooked just right, from the Tommy Boy's Skillet with bacon, sausage and ham for the meat lovers, to the Mmm-Mushroom Spinach Skillet with.. fresh spinach, lots of mushrooms and onions. Even the wraps are pretty darn good like the The Caliente...with scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, onions, pepper-jack cheese and hash browns with a hint of jalapeno peppers. This place is fun, loud and great for breakfast or brunch or lunch. Watch out on Sunday's it gets real busy till about 12;30pm.

As far as diner style breakfast goes since I've been in Chicago this is some of the best I've had. The portions are HUGE and the food fresh tasting and free of too much grease. I had an omelet and pancakes. The pancakes were very fluffy and light (as opposed to rich and buttery), and the omelet, again, was huge and fluffy as well. Prices however are too high to be cheap but too low to be pricey. The decor is bright and warm, but somewhat sterile and reminds me of breakfast restaurants found inside hotels and casinos (though without all the heavy foot traffic). I'm very glad that Chicago always seems to always have real maple syrup, and this place was no exception.

Located in the Glen, Eggsperience is a solid three stars and worth a visit for breakfast or lunch (I don't think it's opened in the evening anyhow). The ambiance is a little kitschy and seems like it could use an update. It's a little bit like walking around in a very flowery egg yolk. Also, it's a bit dilapidated so it could probably use a good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint as well as some new upholstery on the booths. The staff is good and they do a good job of explaining everything on the menu as well as making sure that your coffee/soda/water is filled throughout the meal. One more thing about the booths, they are very tight. I'm six feet four inches and felt very uncomfortable in the booths. I think they were trying to increase the number of people that they can fit into the restaurant as it's always pretty popular but they sacrificed comfort. Also, because this is popular with younger families the noise can be atrocious. On to the food. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and it is uniformly good. They are very generous with their portions so either bring a big appetite or take a doggie bag home. I'm a particular fan of their pancakes and omelets for breakfast. For lunch, I enjoy their wraps and there is almost always enough left over for another meal. The flavors aren't bold but their good. However, the food is a little overpriced even if you get a generous portion.

num num num...I love brunch! I've been to the Eggsperience in the city and it was such a different experience compared to Glenview. The menu is extensive and it took me forever to choose. I decided on the Pilgrim's Panini, turkey, bacon and pepper jack cheese. Sandwich was decent, only could eat half of it. Ambiance was meh, seemed a bit dated and needed a good deep cleaning. We were there on a Monday so it wasn't lively. You could really see how yellow the restaurant is. It's convenient and a crowd pleaser but nothing special.

  • Julia P.

I've been to other Eggsperience locations and was happy with the food and service, but I wasn't satisfied with Glenview's. When I went I ordered the egg white omelet, hash browns and fruit and it was presented very lousy...way too much melted butter? It was noisy too and our waitress was a bit off and forgot my toast..(no big deal obv). ...just didn't have the best experience and what I ended up paying didn't add up to the quality IMO. I would recommend a different bfast spot.

Terrible eggsperience. I came with wife an 2 kids. Asked for 2 high chairs. Host brought us to the table and walked away. No high chairs. The tables are on top of each other. Every time someone went past they hit my chair. We poured our own waters. Waitstaff is clueless. Food is ok at best. If any restaurant gets 1 and 2 star ratings Do Not Go.

  • Nancy H.

Came here on Fathers Day, and it was packed (expectantly so). I think they possibly raised prices. The two egg breakfasts start at $9, and the rest of the breakfasts are adjusted upwards accordingly. I got the chef's scrambler, and my mozzarella cheese looked like it was thrown on just before they brought it out. It wasn't melted into the eggs. The presentation was lousy! One star for the food & service (waiter was disgruntled and impatient) and unkempt restaurant (sticky tables and tight booths), one extra star for the location and bright, airy feel because of the high ceilings and lots of windows.

    (2)
  • Dominick M.

Just your average breakfast cafe. Nothing special. I have been here numerous times, most recently I had the mile high omelet (which I found disappointing and somewhat bland), whole wheat blueberry pancakes (which were good but could have had more blueberries) and a side of corn beef hash (which was dry). Although I did try one of their frittatas which was great and crispy on the edges. Overall, you are better off going to jaspers on waukegan for much better food and experience.

Came here with family for memorial day wknd. Although, it was busy, we received poor service and mediocre food. Wait staff was not responsive to customer requests and the side of bacon looked and tasted horrible! Eggs and pancakes were mediocre. One positive is that the belgian waffles with sweet cream cheese was very good. Overall: would not come here again and would only recommend coming to try the belgian waffles. Sincerely, Disgruntled customer

I really enjoyed my meal here. Food was good, service was quick, prices were reasonable, and portions were large. I had the eggs and sausage which came with hash browns and pancakes (or toast). The scrambled eggs were fluffy and not dried out. And if you love hash browns, you've got to try these. They were huge, thick shreds. I hate the finely shredded version. All of this was about $8. Will definitely be going back!

    (4)
  • Angie K.

Gave it another try.. I don't know why. They're always pretty busy but I correlate that to their location. Their food is mediocre at best but what's really bothersome is their service. The servers act as if you're bothering them by being there.

  • Rosanna L.

Definitely an Eggsperience! Fresh squeeze orange juice - whoever created the juice squeezer is a genius! Delicious! (but pricy!) Mile high omelette - holy cow how many eggs were use to make it? Delicious, huge, and lots of ingredients (sausage, green peppers, onions) The bennie (eggs benedict) - poach eggs, over sausage, on an english muffin with hollandaise suace, great size and the sauce was delicious and not over bearing, just the right touch. GET THE HASH BROWNS! Crispy and cooked perfectly! About $15/person for a breakfast meal, but you definitely get your moneys worth!

My mother and I were the Glenview area on a random summer morning when we decided we needed to eat. We had no idea what to try, so I whipped up the Yelp app, searched for nearby restaurants, and found this place. We had never heard of it before and it sounded like exactly what we needed -- a good place for brunch that didn't feel like Denny's. We were pleasantly surprised with the inviting, cozy atmosphere when we walked in. There weren't too many people dining there, but the staff had smiles on their faces. We sat at a nice booth (I also need to mention the windows allowed plenty of sunshine to come through the restaurant) and each ordered a drink -- coffee for her and a chai tea for me. The chai tea was great! Just the way I like it -- warm, with a hint of spice. I actually forget what we had to eat (I'm writing this review months later.... I probably had a veggie scramble of some sort with hash browns) but we both really enjoyed it and want to come back!

Having read some of the bad reviews, I was hesitant to try this place, but I was pleasantly surprised. Here's how I would rate the place by category: Food: 3 stars Service: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Eggsperience is a diner-style restaurant that serves up a decent brunch. I had the chorizo omelette which was good, but I wasn't wowed by it. It lacked the flavor that I'm used to with other chorizo omelettes. It came with your choice of hash browns or fruit and toast or pancakes. I ordered the hash browns and pancakes--both were decent. My friend had the egg white omelette which she was happy with. I absolutely LOVE that they bring you a carafe of coffee and leave it on your table so that you can refill your coffee whenever you need to and do not have to wait for someone to come around and refill it for you--what a great idea, wish more places would do this. Our server was so on the ball, brought us everything (like milk, cream, syrup, etc) before we even asked for it! Note that you pay upfront at the register when you get your bill. Definitely a solid brunch place--friendly service, affordable, and decent food.

  • Scott W.

The portions are gluttonously huge. So much so, that this is the kind of place you'd be embarrassed to take your non-American friends--unless you like the "this is why Americans are so fat" lecture. The prices are very reasonable. Especially if you split meals in two (or three). The food is better than the average diner. The place is loud. It looks like a cheap version of California Pizza Kitchen. Its a little tight. They hustle you in and out. But we'll be back. Sometimes you just want a belly busting, kitchen-sink omelet with great hashbrowns (ask for them crispy) and a stack of pancakes. Because this is America.

Every time is a great time! Anytime I can get up to Glenview and take my little bro to brunch, this is the place! No matter what the dish, it always turns out beautiful and delicious. Large portions, but we always finish! Yikes! Everything from the egg white delight, to the hash browns with cheese and green peppers, to the sweet sweet strawberry cheesecake french toast, and then the burgers are always big juicy! Now they even have smoothies and fresh juices like mango juice which really hit the spot.

I like the Park Ridge location better. This location seems more cramped compared to the other one. Anyway standard breakfast fare and some lunch items here. Coffee is not as good here as the other aforementioned location. Omelets are fluffy and loaded with ingredients, bacon is soggy, regular scrambled eggs are cooked like they tried to kill the poor thing. Frittatas are good, mushroom and spinach skillet was ok. Service the first time was standard, the second time was a bit creepy as the waiter dude kept hanging by our table.

I had my first "egg-sperience" a few weeks ago, and I really really enjoyed it! My boyfriend swore it would be the best breakfast I've had in awhile. Our waitress was aware it was my first time at the restaurant, and she was very patient but also gave me some recommendations. First, I loooved that each table received it's own water pitcher and coffee carafe. I had the apple pecan french toast, with turkey sausage on the side. Delicious!! I ate every bite. The coffee was also very delicious! It reminded me of Starbucks, yet I was assured it was their own ground coffee. We actually purchased a bag of their coffee on our way out, but it does run $12.99/bag. Aside from the delicious food and excellent service- I love that their food is healthy and organic. Best Egg-eperience Ever!! =)

My friend flew in from California early the morning so we decided to have brunch. I wanted to bring her here because the decor is just so pretty and got that "sunny" vibe like Cali. Plus the staff was nice so why not. My friend ordered the Strawberries & Cream Belgium waffles with orange juice and I had the Mushroom Spinach Skillet with grapefruit juice. She shared a her waffles and I shared my skillet. We both enjoyed the waffles, it is so sweet and yummy with super fresh strawberries. But the skillet, meh, not so much. I've had other skillets before but this one wasn't as good and my mushrooms were under-cooked. As for the juices, I love how its made on the spot, well in the juice bar, it's so delicious! I will definitely try their other juices next time. Overall, other than the skillet (which I'm basing my review on) we had a great meal. :)

This is a good brunch place, it serves your typical breakfast dishes like eggs, pancakes and sausage. They make their own corn-beef-hash it seems because you can really taste the corn beef in the hash. I felt they were bit on the pricey side, however we are in Glenview IL eating so that is to be expected, I suppose. I would try it again with the kids and friends, because it is a kid friendly place. However, I wish the kid's meal came with a drink, they charge extra $1.50 for milk and $1.95 for chocoalte milk, that is a small carton of milk too. They are not a cheap place to get food, but you can get a decent meal for about $9.00.

Coming to this place I did not have too much expectation. Although, the restaurant front led me to anticipate that their eggs are better than decent. Of course, I wanted something good after my attempt on going to my favorite Walker's Brother for brunch, only to find out that their line was ginormous. Perhaps, it would've been worth the wait after my eggsperience. After waited for 20-25 minutes, I've ordered a Butcher's Benni and a coffee. Coffee was surprisingly not too fresh with a hint of sourness. As for the benni, supposedly a meaty benedict, with diced ham and bacon, had less than enough meat for my appetite. The eggs were nicely cooked, runny on the inside with a film of egg white protecting it and topped of with subtle spice, similar to those on deviled eggs at any grocery store. The english muffin and the rest, including meat and hash were luke warm, close to room temperature. It would've been much better with a tad more meat and if it was served at a higher temperature. I was somewhat disappointed. My friend ordered a chocolate french toast with bananas. I'm picky but judging by my eggsperience, the food quality and taste is no where nearly as delicious as Walker's Brother. Specifically, I would give them 1.65 stars, but that isn't an option. I really wanted good eggs, but it was somewhat of a disappointment.

I have eaten many meals at Eggsperience, but one incident made me stop for awhile. I ordered an egg scrambler and the waiter brought me an omelette by mistake. Within a minute he returned with my "egg scrambler" which was the same omelette only he chopped it up in pieces to look like a scrambler and tried to give it back to me. I am not an idiot...I could tell it was the same dish he brought out originally. I sent it back and went to Walker Bros.

I liked this place. Had the egg scrambler. You choose 3 ingredients and it comes with hash browns and your choice of toast or 2 pancakes for nine dollars. I always judge a breakfast place for its hash browns and these were excellent. Pancakes were good and the portions were enough for two.

Wow! My wife and I went in for breakfast and I went with the egg white omelette. I could not believe how much food they give you! For a guy like me with an appetite like woo, I was stuffed to the brim. In fact, it's almost embarrassing to say that I ate it all. Also, they squeeze their juice on the spot, so I recommend trying some orange or pineapple!

My co-worker suggested this place for a breakfast meeting. They are able to handle a good group of 20 people pretty well. The service was quick. I like the healthy option you can get like egg-white only. The hash brown is nice and crispy. It was a good place for a diverse group since they had a lot of options for everyone.

I like to go to the Eggsperience at the Glen after my Saturday morning workout..Try to get there by around 8:00 a.m. if you don't like to wait-- It's often very busy by the time I leave. I like the Chorizo and the Mediterranean omelettes the best. The Bannockburn is good as well. I often ask for a bowl of pineapple slices and they usually comply. The coffee is very good. There is adequate on-street parking if you get there early-- otherwise you may have to walk a block or two.

Avocado chicken breast sandwich was awesome, very filling, and had yummy sweet potato fries w/mayo-ey dip. High chairs and kiddie cups avail for the kids. *only a few places away from main aisles next to your booth to park your baby stroller if you bring one because the aisles are quite narrow so either don't go when it's busy or don't bring a stroller. They do get quite a bit of families with kids there as does the rest of the glen. Great friendly, quick, helpful service and decent food each time I go. Each time we went was pretty late like 2pm on a saturday and they weren't busy. First time I went was a bad experience overall. I did have a dirty glass cup and the omelette was mediocre. I like my omelette in scrambled form but most restaurants including this one make it too runny when done this way. Only a few do it right. Somehow I still kept going there though due my friends' request but the next few times I had much better experiences like my most recent that I said above.

Before our 5k walk for breast cancer, my son and I got to the race area an hour early and opted to do a mommy/son brunch. Our waitress was really fabulous and not only immediately brought over a kid's menu with crayons but brought out his water in a sippy cup. He devoured his pancake, eggs, hash browns and sausage links immediately (I think that he's going through another growth spurt) but wasn't so interested in the treat I got him (hot chocolate for a chilly morning). I enjoyed my custom skillet (mushrooms, sausage, and green bell peppers) and once again, our waitress was a true delight. I would definitely be back as long as we had the same waitress with the great service!

Met Marcie F. for lunch here last week, and I was excited to try a new restaurant! We sat right down and were helped promptly. The only thing was that it wasn't very busy and our waitress got kind of fussy that we took about 10 minutes to chat and decide what we wanted. Had the potato pancakes, which were delicious! Food came out fast, and was reasonably priced. Again with the service, they kind of swarmed around us like vultures to clear our plates/get us to pay our bill. I'd go here again!

I had gone here with a bunch of friends for a pre-school breakfast, as this was a day when we had an abnormally short school day. It was also for one of our friend's birthday and we were treating her. I haven't gone to a lot of breakfast places. I'm fine with toast and eggs--pancakes if it gets to be fancy. Everyone I was with opted for waffles while I decided to go with eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and pancakes. My plate looked very sad in comparison to their overflowing waffles, with their nutella fountain and strawberries and whip cream and ice cream. I believe the place is better known for the waffles than anything else, and it showed. My plate seemed to empty. Each item was very separated from each other. The eggs reminded me of eating McDonalds breakfasts when I was a little kid, or when I went on road trips with my family. The sausages reminded me of this gas station diner me and my family went to once for breakfast--each stab brought about a gush of grease (and I could feel the effects on my face as well). The hash browns were...crunchy? My mind is fuzzy on this details. I liked the pancakes. They were fluffy and combined with everything I had, more than enough. The rating is based on my food order. The waffles look really good, really big. It's sad that I had regret choosing what I did. I don't exactly remember the price, so I can't comment on that. Over all, I wasn't really satisfied. One day, I might try the waffles, and see if they're worth my palette and wallet.

Not worth the hype nor the price of this breakfast spot, everything is $9-12 and not worth it! I tried it twice as it is not far from my home and easier to get a table at than Walker Bros. Obviously there is a reason tables are always available! Bland dry tasting hashbrowns and potatoes, cheap tasting bacon, blah waffles & pancakes, tastes like frozen food thrown in a microwave. And the skillets taste like they sat in a pan at a buffet under a heat lamp before being served.

Very bad food! I ordered eggs with mushroom, ham and cheese, gosh the food is not warm at all and that morning it wasn't busy at all!Eggs were under cooked, coffee taste very bad, toast was cold, and they overpriced their food, better just go Egg harbor! I couldn't even finish my breakfast! very bad! never go again~ I think even Dannys still a lot better than them!

Eggsperience is a nice breakfast place. Its not your usual boring old-diner establishment... The decor is happy, bright and uplifting... lots of sunshine too! Even if you're not a morning person, it will make you feel awake once you get your butt in there. And you have the option of sitting outside too... Once you're there (and if you're like me... and need to feed your caffeine addiction).... get their coffee.. It is a perfect blend, it's very smooth and not watered down. I also like the fact that they leave the coffee pot at the table so you don't have to wait for the waiter to refill your cup. (Don't you hate it when you get your coffee just right, you drink half of it. . . .and then they fill it up, and you have to re-make it all over again and again?) They also give you the option of cream or milk.. Which is nice... When you open up the menu, there are a lot of choices... omelets, skillets, waffles, crepes, pancakes, scramblers, benedicts, frittatas, french toast, etc... While skimming the menu... I noticed 'Yummy in Your Tummy'... which is: French Toast... topped with fresh strawberries... and drizzled with chocolate sauce.... Could this really be? As excited as I was, I was also a little scared that this may be a little too sugary.. I have a sweet tooth or else I'd worry that it would be a LOT too sweet... I felt more confident when the waiter agreed that it was a good choice.... So I wasn't wrong... when this delicious french toast with a mountain of strawberries which were topped with this PERFECT chocolate sauce came out... wow... I know I made the right choice... The chocolate sauce was made to the right amount of sweetness, so it was still possible to add syrup to it! On a side note... no matter what you order, get their hash browns with onions and cheese, probably some of the best I've ever had.

If you're in Glenview, go to Walker Brothers. I made the mistake of trying out this place over WB. I wanted to see if there was an equivalent or better breakfast place. What a mistake. My server was nice. I order corned beef hash, eggs, and pancakes. Corned beef hash had large potatoes in it. It was not good. Hash browns were the best part, but seemed they had skimped out on the portion. (All these reviews say a ton of food, but this was not the case for me.) Coffee tasted burned. Pancakes were thick, but not "fluffy" tasting - very "doughy" tasting. I'm shocked that the people in The Glen actually like this place. It's awful. Another franchise opened up in Mount Prospect., at Randhurst Mall. I'm not too sure I would try it.

Meh, nothing special. Very crowded on weekends. U can get cheaper, equally good food (and fast seating/service) at Ihop. I think people go here because of the "northshore" experience and that it's an uppity place.

We have only eggsperienced breakfast here and decided to try out lunch for a change. We were quickly set up at our table & our waitress promptly took our drink orders. We were split at the table with half ordering breakfast items & the other half ordering paninis. Our order was quickly brought out to us and the breakfast diners loved what they had(scramblers) while things were split on the sandwiches. One was a bit soggy on one side with not much flavor. The other(turkey) was more to the diners liking. We would probably return but focus on the early morning dining items.

I came here on a Saturday at noon, and it wasn't too crowded. We were able to get seated right away, even though everyone in our group hadn't arrived. The menu has a good variety of items, and several of them caught my eye. I ordered the Chorizo Frittata, which came with a side of hash browns. the Frittata was alright, but seemed to be missing some flavor- even after adding sour cream and salsa to it. Our waiter was friendly, but also kinda of hard to understand at times. The woman who brought our food out was extremely nice and helpful, she made room on the table before putting the plates down and the filled everyone's glasses w/ water. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because I liked the atmosphere and the menu selection, but I don't think I would come here again even though it's pretty close to my house.

We LOVE this place. It's fun and has a great atmosphere. If the weather is nice, all the windows let the sunlight in and the yellow walls make it an upbeat place to be. The food is great especially the omelletes which are as fluffly as they can be. The Eggs Benedicts are awesome and they don't mind replacing the Canadian Bacon with a slice of tomato if you're looking for a healthier version of the traditional dish. Buttermilk Pancakes are to die for as well. It's totally worth going. If you get there before 10 on a Sunday, you won't have to wait.

Maybe it was the wait and how busy the place was on a rainy Sunday morning, I was anticipating an above average meal experience... only to be left with a very disappointed impression of the place. I guess I will start with the real fruit smoothies. My husband ordered a raspberry smoothie and I ordered a mango. Immediately after my first sip of the smoothie, I had an inkling that this is going to be the beginning of a somewhat below average meal. Initially, I thought the problem was the mango--not sweet enough. But after I tried my husband's smoothie, we both decided it was the yogurt base they used. It tasted funky and left us with a very strange after taste in the mouth. I would not recommend it. Now, onto the main meals. I ordered a corned beef hash. My husband ordered The Caliente (basically a breakfast burrito). My mom ordered their egg white omelet with assorted veggies. We all shared a strawberry crepe. My corned beef hash came with corned beef on one side of the plate and hash browns on the other. I thought they were supposed to be together, no? It tasted ok, a bit dry, but not overly salty like some corned beef hash. The eggs (over medium) were good. My mom's egg white omelet (Eleni's Egg White Delight) was a very huge fluffy brown thing. At first look, it looked burnt on the top. Nevertheless, I can understand how difficult it can be to make egg white omelet. It tasted decent, but again, nothing to rave about and I certainly wouldn't call it "delightful". My husband's breakfast burrito was the best of the three meal choices. It was, indeed, very spicy. The chorizo was delicious. When I asked him if he come back for just that... his answer was a "probably not". Now, onto the strawberry crepes. I must say, this is the dish I had the MOST problem with. When a menu says "crepe", I am expecting something like a crepe I would get in Paris: thin, not fluffy, and very light in texture. This crepe was more like a Swedish Pancake. Too much butter and sugar in the batter. On top of that, it was slightly fluffy, not very crepe like at all. The strawberries were good (it was fresh) but I still couldn't get over the disappointment of not actually being served a crepe. It's not a bad dish if you were expecting Swedish Pancakes served with strawberry but when you were expecting crepe, that's a whole different story. The entire meal cost us $60 (we also ordered three coffees). For that amount of money, I find the quality of the meal VERY disappointing despite the good service throughout the meal. So, would we go back again? Probably not.

As I navigate through the world of Yelp, I am finding that when I deem a place mediocre, or even down right horrible, I don't have that much to say about it other than it didn't wow me. My desire to type full out rants has lessened over the months . . . Eggsperience is one of these places I have little, if anything to write about other than was recommended to me for brunch and it was just ok. Maybe I'll try it again in the future some time and I'll gain more inspiration for my review . . . until then three stars is all I can give this "eggsperience."

1/3/09: Hands down for the excellent service and experience in handing groups and kids! We arrived as a party of 12 with four kids and the staff and waiter accommodated us with no problems! I like a place that welcomes kids without any qualms. We were there for two hours (talking well after our meal was completed) and was not rushed by the staff at all. Parking outside can be tough, especially if its f**ing cold outside and you're circling around and around for a nearby space.

I was in the Glenview area a few days ago & grabbed a late breakfast at The Glen location. Ordered the Chorizo omlette for a change & IT WAS EXCELLENT! The only other memorable chorizo omlette experience was in a place in Dallas, TX (see my review on Cafe Brazil.) Pleasant wait staff, great place for people watching and all for a fair price. OPEN ONE CLOSER TO THE CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went here for breakfast last Sunday morning around 9:00 am and I was expecting a line - when there wasn't one, I should have realized that is not a good sign in Glenview. The space is industrial and cold, the food was mediocre at best and the waitress seemed annoyed by our very existence. I had the cheese omelet which was okay, they bake their omelets (who started this terrible trend, if you bake eggs they are no longer an omelet! But I digress) my hash browns were so old they were just hard dried sticks. I very politely informed the waitress that the hash browns were old and she said, "oh they are too crispy for you?" I said no they are too old for me. She was annoyed, but I was more annoyed because, really how much can an order of hash browns cost a restaurant? ¢.25 maybe .50¢ make fresh ones! You are a breakfast joint for pete's sake! Disclaimer: I am an Irish woman so please do not mess with my spuds.

I love coming here for breakfast! Amazing skillets that are full of meat and cheese. Great to see 3 eggs over easy right on top. Their omelets are huge! Love how they have the sugar free syrup and I could/ Never will pass up on those great whole wheat pancakes! O boy they taste like cinnamon! Nice and open. Gentleman at the door is always nice and Mary is the best waitress. Wish their bacon was a little cheaper... If it was, I probably would run them dry of it... Love it! Oh, I forgot to mention, the place is kept super clean.

This place was ok. I had the bananas for bananas waffle. Somehow, by the description, I thought there would actually be bananas in the waffle. I was disappointed to find that this was just a plain waffle with bananas on top. It was fine, I just expected something different/more for the price. They did put a lot of bananas on top, though. I had decided on wild blueberry pancakes, but before I ordered them, I saw that the gentleman at the next table had gotten them (not that I ogle people's food, but sometimes you can't help but notice). The blueberries were definitely NOT wild. They were far too large to be wild blueberries. Of course, everyone knows that they smaller, wild blueberries are far sweeter and taste more like the classic blueberry flavor than the farm-raised ones, which are big and not as sweet or flavorful. So, since I could see the huge blueberries on his plate, I decided not to get that. My bf had an egg scrambler, which I tried a bit of. It was good. I think he enjoyed his meal much more than I enjoyed mine. The service was just ok. They were very busy. There was a short wait, and when we were called, our hostess could not seem to find an empty table. So, then she saw one that was being bussed and had us wait by that one until it was ready. When our server took our drink order, my bf had orange juice and I had milk. She came back several minutes later to tell my bf that they were just waiting for a glass for his juice, but that she would take our order. A few minutes after taking our order, she came back with his juice. After it was apparent that she was not going to bring my milk, we asked for it and of course she apologized. Our food arrived quickly, though, considering how busy they were. I like the decor. It's very sunny and new looking. However, the restaurant is very large and has high, metal ceilings which means it's very loud in there when it's busy. All in all, we may go back when we want something different and we are in the area. It probably won't be a place we go to often, though.

Very disappointed the morning started out with some bitter coffee I couldn't drink it. I ordered an orange juice and a scrambler plate the menu is a little over priced. About 5 min later or less our food comes i thought that was quick. After eating into the breakfast I discover the eggs were undercooked and the meal was cold. I don't know what is going on in that kitchen but I want no part of it. This was a complete waste of time very much below standards for the Glen. Management needs to improve the quality control and hire a professional wait staff.

For how busy this place gets on a Sunday morning, I had much higher eggspectations (sorry, i had to do it). Let's start with aesthetics. The place is big with the industrial style ceilings; however, the overcrowded seating arrangements makes the ambiance slightly overwhelming. The booths are incredibly tight so I highly recommend sitting at a table (but it's still crammed). Service was not eggsceptional (ok, I can't stop). With the overcrowding, the abundance of waitstaff, and bussers more attentive than the actual wait staff, it's easy to forget you're in a restaurant where you're actually paying for this kind of eggsperience (ok, i'll stop). I ordered a continental breakfast with eggs overeasy. My friend ordered a skillet with eggs scrambled. They mixed our two egg orders so we had to swap our eggs off our plates. Let me tell you, it's not fun trying to scoop overeasy eggs when it's already sitting on a bed of potatoes smothered in cheddar. Needless to say, my eggs were ruined. On to the store bought potatoes. Actually, that's all there is to say, store bought. Sausage links weren't bad though, slightly oversalty, but it's sausage so I'll cry about it later. All in all, the food was subpar and the service was even worse. The worst part about this entire meal was the price. Not to say it's expensive, but given the regrettable experience, I wasn't happy to pay more than $15. It's overpriced and when I got the bill I swear my jaw dropped. But, it's The Glen- where people just don't know any better, or better yet, they just don't care. If you want my advice, drive the hour into the city to eat at Bongo Room, Orange, or Lou Mitchells.

Less than impressive, excepting that they managed to put such an eyesore on the Glen. They have a nice large menu, and plenty for those who don't enjoy eggs. If you have any kind of food intolerance, don't even bother eating here. They have nothing to offer nor are they interested in that market. Even the drinks I tried were pretty awful, and I think it hard to mess up smoothies and shakes. Not worth it.

I love Eggsperience which is in the Glen. They not only have a great breakfast but they also have great lunch options as well. I love their salads! The atmosphere is very nice as well. It is very modern and fresh looking. This is a common lunch choice for me and my co-workers from Allstate.

I have been here twice and boith times I found it to be pleseant. On the weekends, they are very crowded, but the wait moves quickly. The booths (especially the U shaped ones) are a bit tight, so I would ask for a table. The food is good, especially the banana chocolate crepes and the wheat panckaes which have cinnamon in them and just are heavenly. They make great mochas as well! Service has always been great as well. If I am in the area, I will return.

the waffles were awesome. i rarely eat waffles, and when i got one here, i thoroughly enjoyed it. it was a good portion, didn't leave me hungry, but it was soo good, i probably could have had another one. although- how hard is it to mess up a waffle? might come back down the road; there are other brunch options i do enjoy just as much. i guess i'd give them an extra star if i like their denver, which is what i'll probably try next visit, whenver that is.

I don't get the whole high ceiling infatuation, it just makes everything echo and keeps you from hearing your dining partners. That said, this was the worst part of the experience. This location isn't as charming and cozy as The Breakfast Nook, but the food is just as good. I deviated from my usual veggie omelet and tried the heart clogging corned beef hash. Although the plate presentation wasn't very appealing (my hash was formed into a squarish patty) it was soooo good! This is real hash, not the canned dog food you picked up from Jewel. No slick of grease on the tongue, no tell-tale ground up parts, just real meat with shredded potato. Over easy eggs were perfect as well as the crispy hash browns. My daughter's veggie omelet was also perfection. I hate dry eggs and omelets, not that I like 'em runny either but this was perfect. Even as leftovers, the omelet was still soft and tender, the vegetables on the crisp side but not raw, the cheese not a congealed lump, just delicious and tender. A friend's daughter had the chocolate chip waffle which looked very good, loaded with semi-sweet and white chocolate chips. When the server brought a cereal bowl full of whipped cream, it was over the top. The coffee is what did it for me. Rich, strong & smooth, I drank a pot by myself and even took a decaf to go. I'm puzzled by the reviewer who said the coffee was bitter, I didn't find it bitter at all. I suppose it's bitter compared to the weak industrial brew served by most coffee shops. Freshly ground beans should be the law. Our server reminded me of Barney Fife's girlfriend, Thelma Lou. She was on top of everything, very attentive. As we were getting ready to leave, she brought me a go-cup to take home more coffee. I didn't get a chance to check out the bathrooms but I've been to the location in Mundelein and the old Northbrook location and they were spotless so I have no doubt this was clean as well. I can't wait to go back for more of that coffee...wish I made it as good!

Having been to the one in Bannockburn, I thought why not try the one that opened around the corner from my house. With Passover still days from being over, I couldn't get a waffle, french toast or eggs Benedict. The chorizo omelet was good, but not earth shattering. Definitely get a smoothie. I love almost anything Pina Colada flavored and their PC Smoothie was sooooooo good! We met my cousin and her fiance for breakfast. She ordered the banana raisin oatmeal that looked amazing. I might go back, but Glenview/Northbrook has many good options for breakfast.

Came here with high expectations and left hungry, something I NEVER should do. The menu is big and has lots of sweet breakfast selections. I was torn between Chocolate Filled French Toast and the Bananas for Bananas Waffle. I ended up choosing the waffle and when it came out, I knew I had made a mistake. The menu claims this waffle is loaded with tons of bananas. However, I guess when they say loaded, they mean a small banana cut in half and then placing its slices on top of a plain waffle. Wow, this thing sucked. It had no flavor at all and without syrup there is no way anyone would even touch this thing. I was hungry so I finished it within five minutes, and was still hungry afterward. My other person had crepes with mushrooms, scrambled eggs, and spinach, and those looked ten times better than my dumb waffle. The service was fine, and the coffee (Cappuccino and Caramel Macchiato) was good, but the food was too plain for the price. Based on my favorite breakfast place of all time (Wildberry Pancake and Cafe), Eggsperience was an experience I soon hope to forget.
