Wow, this Starbucks has gotten bigger and better since I was a 9 year-old slowly weaning myself off the hot chocolate and lemon knots and transitioning into mochas. Memories...By the way, does anyone remember when Starbucks sold those lemon knot cookies? I really loved studying here and all the stuffed chairs, tables, and outlets are a dream. It's still my favorite Starbucks since the one on Wells is no longer a 24 hour joint. Regardless of how busy it constantly is, the flow is always moving, the floors are clean, and the clutter is minimal. It's exactly what you want a Starbucks to be. The staff here is so friendly and efficient. No matter how busy they get, they keep a smile on their faces and a cheerful conversation in your mind. I was absolutely thrilled to find the bakery case jam packed with goodies at 3 o' clock in the afternoon. It's like they combined the homey welcoming feeling of the Caribou that used to be across the street with the sleek sophisticated style of Starbucks to appease all the demographics of the neighborhood. It's always nice to come back here after a tennis game at the park or a walk through The Botanical Gardens.

Currently sitting here writing this review about the place I am sitting at. Its relaxing...I like it and the staff is nice. This place bustles with activity pretty much throughout the whole day, and its spacious inside with alot of comfortable seating. The Iced chai was ok....I kinda have had better, but the Iced Americano was good to go. Like with my Foodstuffs review....parking can get pretty sparse, with the PD sending out its CSO to look for parking violations so you really have to be aware of the 2 hour mark for parking....unless you go 2-3 blocks west to park at the park. Pics posted.

This place is a true gem. Stopped by for a quick white chocolate mocha and Billy the barista made it expertly. He also gave directions to the theatre.

I love this place. Not only is the menu in its entirety amazing, but also the employees gave me service with a smile, to say the least, billy in particular. Not only did he accommodate the many alterations that I made to my order, but he threw in a double cup for extra convenience! Afterward I sat in the Starbucks and watched billy happily joke and interact with fellow baristas. He deserves a promotion! Because of this I've become a huge fan of starbucks!

I like this Starbucks, it has a nice layout and even has a fireplace which I'm sure is a plus during the winter. The coffee is great just as it is at most stores. The issue that I have is the service. The staff seems to lack the customer service focus that other stores have. The new store on 41 near Park in Highland Park really gets it right! They don't ignore customers when they walk in and they don't participate in their private discussions when there a lot of people waiting in line. The store on Skokie HWY and Dundee has the same problem. Not sure what had happened since Starbucks has been a cited standard to how customer service should be. Maybe a lack of supervision and continued training. With that said... It would be nice to see the good service return.
