Generally very good, especially the bread and the pizza crust, though sometimes a little heavy handed w/ the cheese. Toppings are generally all excellent in quantity and quality.

Picked up lunch today. A slice a pizza, side of pesto and bread. total of $9! I wouldn't mind paying that much if the food was excellent, but unfortunately it wasn't. I have to say first, that the service was excellent. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The Pizza, had no flavor, soggy, and tasteless. I had two bites and had to throw it away. (waste of 4 bucks) I asked for a side of Parmesan cheese and got a container of semolina. lol The rolls and pesto. The rolls were dry, doughy, and a waste of calories but on the flip side the pesto was great! So ended up chipping off tiny pieces of the bread until my pesto was done. It was $3 for a super small side order plus another $2 for the bread. There are better places to grab an affordable delicious slice of pizza in the area, not worth getting it from here!

Great place for dinner when you want something a little nicer but still casual. My wife, daughter and I came here for dinner - they both had the gourmet pizzas which I tasted, excellent. I had my standby Shrimp Scampi which is always great. When you start with the potato soup and end with chocolate mousse, you know you have eaten too much. My only problem with this place is ordering too much food. Try it, you'll like it, just order less than I do.

Have you ever had a Pizza Pop? Pizza what??? Pizza POP, it's delicious and this is the only place I know where you can get them. It's because of the dough that everything here is so great. When you first sit down, you will get rolls and pesto. Eat them. You can thank me later. Most restaurant bread just fills you up so you can't eat the main course, this bread could BE the main course. The pizzas are made with the same great dough. That's amore! We come here fairly often, it's a nice step up from a normal pizza place. The entrees are really good and the antipasto salad is wonderful. I also adore their patio. If you can get your umbrella and the sun to work in harmony, it's a great place to enjoy your food outside. What keeps this from being a five, in my opinion, is the inexperienced wait staff. There are lots of them and they mean really well but they just can't anticipate your needs or quite get the whole meal delivered efficiently. However, on our last visit our waitress made home made iced tea for me as the iced tea they have is from a, horrors, a spigot. That was a bit of youthful ingenuity that really pleased me. Come for the food, linger and enjoy it and be a bit patient with the staff. Oh, and try a Pizza pop!

Wow, thought I had reviewed Parmesans Wood Stone last year, I guess not. Visited the Frankfort Farmers Market again today while riding the Plank Road Trail (bike path). The very first place I looked for was 'that pizza place with the awesome garlic/butter chicken pizza'. Was not disappointed, except to find out that can't open one in Plainfield/Naperville until a family member decides to open a new location. Hey, I'll do it.............I know it will be a success. Anyway, one of the best mom and pop pizza places we have experienced, if only at the Farmers Market. Great garlic/butter/alfredo chicken pizza, sausage calzones, cheesy bread......the dough/crust is SOO good. in the area, try it. We'll be going to the Market at Promenade for more on Thursday.

I've bought many groupons and I must say that they are a great value when going to parmesans. Start with the bread and pesto which is awesome so try not to fill up. I've tried a different pizza every time I go and have not been disappointed. My wife sticks with the pizza margherita which must be good because she keeps getting it. The desserts are also great but really rich so be prepared to share. Servers are very friendly and I recommend going.

This is really solid italian I Frankfort. Incredible pesto and homemade bread is served at the beginning of the meal. They have a brick oven for delicious pizza. I cute le selection of homemade deserts, too.

The Dude and I swung by Parmersans early on a Friday night on our way to the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. We had snagged a great $10-for-$20 Groupon and were looking for a nice dinner (read: nicer than the $20 hot dogs we could get at the concert venue). We loved the garlic rolls with pesto that came out to us right away. I adored the soft inside of the rolls - I'm a soft bread person, and The Dude is a crusty bread person. We picked our rolls apart and swapped the parts that each of us like. That's love, people. We split a White Pizza with Spinach and it was delicious! There was tons of melty cheese on top, which made The Dude very happy. The spinach was just wilted enough without being soggy. The sauce was delicious and decadent. We were thrilled with our selection! We were also thrilled with our Miller Lites, simply because they were $3 and we knew we would be paying $12 for them later at the show. So why only four stars? While we were there, an employee was pounding dough in the front of the restaurant, right by the bakery. At least, I think that's what he was doing. It sounded like he was pounding nails into tin. The noise made my head ring. Seriously, he couldn't do that in the back room? I realize we were the only customers in there when we arrived, but COME ON. I don't need a headache heading into a rock show!

We saw the groupon deal and read the reviews here on Yelp! Had high hopes for this place and was actually excited there was another great restaurant on the Southside. Figured, let's give it a shot. Arrived on a Saturday late afternoon and had to wait 45min for a table of 4 -- thinking this place must be really good. Right? Anyhow, we got seated and was served fresh hot bread with amazing pesto sause. Pretty good. Also, service was good for how busy it was. Ordered a pizza and, at this point, mouth drooling because we were so hungry; took a bite of the pizza and what a 'tease'. It wasn't all what we had expected. The pizza dough is the same bread they serve when you get seated. The pizza didn't taste as good when comparing to eating the bread with the pesto sauce. Bummer. Well, our hunger hasn't been satsified so we ordered pastry. Our server comes to your table with a huge plate of pastry selections to choose from -- it looked awesome. We ordered the tiramisu and it was another hyped anticipation that went nowhere. I really wanted to like this place....so bad. Hell, gave it another try and we ordered take-out the following week (we still had another groupon to redeem). Ordered a sandwich and went through the same experience....it was just ok. If it wasn't for the groupon deal, I think we would had rated this place lower. Overall, this place was just okay. I rate it 3 stars (being very generous) because of the groupon deal, the service and the bread/pesto sause.

My pizza was folded to fit in the box, I took a picture I couldn't believe it. The homemade desserts that people rave about are just OK, and EXPENSIVE for what you get. I may go back, maybe.. Edited to add: A man was nice enough to give me a comment about replacing my folded pizza. That was a nice display of customer service and I felt that I should have added to my original review stating that the Pizza 'was' good, it really was. It had a nice crust and good flavor. It was unfortunate that it was folded, I am sure it was an accident, probably just a busy night and the kids were in a hurry. In case you are wondering, thanks for the offer, but I must decline.

**Please Note: This review was originally posted on Yahoo but was copied here when I opened a Yelp account.** Really good food. Pastas and baked goods are excellent and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. My entire family enjoyed the food and for all of them to like it that says something. Second experience: Went again and was very pleased with the food. Our server was young and a little inexperienced and the wait for the food was a little long but we didn't mind. The restaurant has nice atmosphere and the staff is great. We actually moved tables when it got crowded so that a family could sit down and the owner sent over some chocolate covered strawberries and thanked me personally. If you go during peak times expect to wait but the food is worth it and if you have room try dessert. Been back since (Good news & Bad news): Well the good news is that the food is still very good. The bad news is that the staff is too young/inexperienced to really take care of a busy room. The wait was long which would be okay if the server was experienced. She was nice enough but ultimately just a kid. Our appetizer came out and was inedible. We then waited another 20 minutes for our entrees. The food makes a wait worthwhile but if the owner can figure out that paying more for an experienced wait staff of fewer people rather than less for a lot of inexperienced people will benefit in the long run. I ran out of patience this time around and not sure if we'll come back any time soon. Last time: Probably won't ever go back. The service is way too slow and inattentive. It's time to hire real servers with some experience and stay away from the high school girls who have no idea. Good food only takes you so far, you have to have competent servers and an efficient kitchen so your customers aren't left waiting and wanting

The 2 stars are just for the pizza and the pesto sauce, which was the only good thing about this place. When I first came in I wasn't greeted, and it was only one other couple that was already in there. The pesto sauce is super delicious. You can also pay to take the pesto home which I like. Olive garden should do this for their Alfredo sauce. Anyhoo,The waitresses are nice, and bring out everything out at a reasonable time. Minestrone soup is really watery and you can barely taste the tomato sauce, it's like they added a half a cup of tomato sauce and the rest is water. No amount of salt or pepper helped with the taste. I really didn't have a taste for pizza so I orderd the Chicken Alfredo. OMG!!!! I've never had such bland and tasteless Alfredo, it was horrible, the chicken was even worst, the breading was soggy and tasteless and the chicken was dry. Thankfully the waiter let me order the pizza which I wish I would have just gone and ordered first. This place reminds me of the resturaunts on Resturant Impossible. The only reason why I would come back is to get the pesto sauce to go. Good luck trying to get your Internet or apps to work, I got really bad reception in there.

The bread and pesto is about the only thing we enjoyed here.... My husband and I went to dinner here the other week and I must say we were very unimpressed. The service was slow, however they were friendly. My husband ordered a pizza which came out extremely burnt and after sending it back it came out worse the second time. I ordered a pasta dish that was served to me cold... We will not be returning.

We went to dinner here last night to use our Groupon before it expired. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try and chances are good that we will return because the pizza and bread are really good. BUT other reviewers are not lying when they say the service is s.l.o.w. It was nearly 20 minutes after we sat down that our drinks (including water!) were delivered to our table and our order was taken. Ridiculous! I was parched! I would've cried but for the fact that my body was so dehydrated it couldn't produce tears. Around the time our drinks came out, our server brought some amazingly delicious bread and pesto. My husband said he didn't want to fill up on bread before dinner. I told him of all the rave reviews I read about the bread, he tried some and immediately decided bringing leftovers home wouldn't be the end of the world and we proceeded to gobble up the entire plate. We ordered the calamari for an app. I think this is a dish you can definitely skip. It was a huge portion of heavily fried (I'm a fan of lightly fried calamari), bland and flavorless. The marinara it was served with was decent. We ordered two different gourmet pizzas to split - the BBQ roast pork melt and the Pizza Antipasti. The Antipasti had more tomatoes than I was expecting (I hate tomatoes), but they were easy enough to pick off. It was very salty, but that's to be expected. Very good! I didn't know what to think of the pork pizza upon first bite, but after a few more bites, I was sold. The sauce is very familiar to me, but I can't place it. Tasty! Another slow service moment - my husband ordered another beer about halfway through the dinner, but the server didn't bring it out for almost another 15-20 minutes and we were almost done with dinner. SO annoying! So, we boxed up the leftovers, paid the bill and then had to sit there so my husband could finish his nearly full beer. There was a bunch of people standing around the front door (they don't really have a waiting area) waiting for tables to open up (no one wanted to eat outside in the 90 degree weather) and we were definitely getting some looks as people could clearly see that we were done eating (the table was cleared). It's just extra annoying that we felt rushed because the server didn't bring the beer out until the meal was over. Ugh. Oh, and people have mentioned this place is good for kids. Well, I hope your kids are patient. My son is pretty well behaved when we're out and about, but he definitely would've been antsy sitting through a nearly two hour meal. Note: With your first check-in on Foursquare, you get one free dessert. Can't be used in combination with the Groupon though, and there was no way we had room for dessert anyway. Another note: The Groupon is expiring in a couple of days, but take note that the gratuity is included when you use a Groupon. I can't decide whether I'm annoyed about this or not. I mean, I've heard that there's issues where people don't tip on the full amount and that's not really fair to the server. But, on the other hand, why should I be forced to give this girl 18% or 20% or whatever it was when she sucked? The reason I can' t decide whether or not to be annoyed is because we would've ended up tipping the same amount or more anyway...I just don't like having the choice taken away from me.

Italian food with a great array of desserts! Bread was served upon sitting at the table. Deep dish sausage, mushroom and pepperoni. It was fairly good. Upon paying the bill, the waitress brought us over free family size cheesy bread to take home. Nice touch. Not my first choice, but not a bad choice either.

We've been ordering pizza from Parmesan's on a fairly regular basis since we moved to the area in early 2009. We really enjoy their pizza! It's different than the (MANY) other pizza joints around the area. I have to mention that the sourdough bread and garlic pesto they serve when you dine-in is out of this world! I could make my entire meal out of it. If it wasn't for the experience we just had, I would be rating it higher. That being said, we ordered a pizza recently and we got about half way through it before I said, "Um, something's not right here." The piece I took a bite of smelled "funky" and tasted even worse. I gagged. I even had my husband try a small bite and he agreed. We stopped eating the pizza right then and my husband went back to the restaurant to speak with the manager (bringing the rest of the pizza with as proof). Did anything LOOK wrong? No. Did anything smell wrong? Yes. Did anything taste bad? Yes. It was weird b/c it wasn't the entire pizza; just that area. It was either the cheese or the pepperoni, I'm sure of it. When my husband first spoke with the manager he was in disbelief and almost appeared to be accusing us of trying to get a free pizza. Something about serving hundreds of pizzas and never hearing anything like this. He wasn't acting very professional. I'm sure it's hard to hear bad things about your business but we're not lying, we've been to your restaurant many times and we've always had a good experience! The manager then took the pizza into the back and my husband said when he returned his attitude was very different. He was friendly and apologized and said that he hopes we return. Will we return? Yes. Will it be soon? No. Not until I get over the taste aversion I now have for their pizza.

We ate here the other night after seeing them at the little farmer's market in Bolingbrook. The pizza is delicious. Get the thick crust, which comes in slices. The bread they serve is awesome too and as you leave I think you get breadsticks for free, which we did, and they were amazing too. Good place for kids. Nice outside dining area. Little small but the food more than makes up for that.

Let me start by saying I really enjoy the food at this restaurant. I recently discovered a tomato sensitivity. This place offers a divine pesto so I've replaced tomato sauce with pesto. Perfecto! Tonight I ordered per usual and was given a pizza that included tomato. Oh no! No worries I'll call and they will happily apologize and make this right. Not so much. Michael, told me, "you really need to order more carefully." Really??? I'm being reprimanded? I am essentially allergic to tomatoes. I know this, but he thinks I need to order more carefully?? I've been off the phone for ten minutes and I still cannot believe I was treated this way. He NEVER apologized. I asked him how he would make it right and he said, "Well, I don't know." And then stopped talking. So, I repeated the suggestion I first presented, but he resisted, which was for them to provide me a credit. He reluctantly agreed. I am super disappointed right now. ***The two stars represented how I was treated tonight by Michael***

As a whole, Parmesan's Wood Stone Pizza puts out a far better product than many of its local competitors. While a long time neighbor down the street tends to get a fair number of accolades, I'd much prefer to sit down and enjoy the fresh, hand-crafted breads and sauces from Chef Michael's kitchen. First and foremost, I'll agree that the service aspect of Parmesan's is its weakest link. While I give the staff that I've encountered kudos for its effort, their inexperience tends to show through. On our last visit, my wife and I were seated quickly, but afterwords things tended to move at a slow pace. Although our server did her best to take care of our needs, it was the lack of upkeep in the dining area that really surprised me. In the hour or so that we spent here for dinner, at least two tables sat dirtied with food and such for a good 40 minutes of our visit. Not overly appealing... However, where Parmesan's lacks in its service aspect, the restaurant makes up for it in ambiance and quality. The casual bistro style setting is nice and the scent of fresh baking breads permeates the air when walking in. The pastry case is a decadent bouquet of fresh, Italian-American flare and all items seem to be made with some passion. (Try the Chocolate Pizza, seriously...) For the most part, we enjoyed the sounds of Frank Sinatra and other vocalists while we dined - a nice touch to the experience. The real jewel here are the breads and pizzas. Something as simple as a warm Artisan-baked roll and fresh basil pesto are the stuff that dreams are made of. (I love pesto and Chef Michael has got the ratios of garlic and parmesan down pat. Yum.) As a vegetarian, I can't say much for the meat-based dishes on the menu, but the items that my wife and I have tried have been top notch. (We'll keep coming back for the White Pizza alone, if nothing else.) All in all, Parmesan's has some great potential. With increasing its local presence in the summer Farmer's markets, I can only see them growing in their clientele. However, the owners should give some consideration to providing some service training for staff and driving home the importance of first impressions. While the food hits on all of the right notes, it takes all of the staff to make an "experience" for the guest.

You know those times when you go out to dinner and everything just flows? The drinks, the food, the service and then you look at your watch and wow where did the time go?? This is not that place. Everything about it is. . .well. . .awkward. The seating is terrible. The service staff is all high schoolers and they are so disorganized and inefficient. After being there an hour it felt like an eternity. We just wanted out of there. Bottom line, really great food but only for take out.

What I love most about this place is their involvement in the community. You can always find a booth at the farmer's market or other events around town. Their wilingness to help out at school functions etc. is commendable. Their pizza pop is an easy grab and go food, especially at the Fall Fest! Pizza cooked over an open flame is delicious and their pastas are great too. It's nice to be able to sit outside in the summer. Every meal starts with the bread and awesome pesto!

Ok lets get the bad out of the way- It IS run by a staff of highschool-ers, it takes time to get a table, and service is a bit slow. Seating is a little awkward- a bunch of little square tables in a tiny room. It's also full of kids. If you have kids, this should be a plus. Reason for the 5 stars? The pizza and bread is just delicious. Absolutely delicious. Seriously, the white pizza, best pizza in the suburbs. And the deserts! Get one! Even if your not hungry. I recommend the truffels- get both white and regular chocolate. And TRY to contain yourself from chowing down on the bread and petso they bring to the table before your meal, even though it is heavenly (but more like chimichurri, imo). No wait, go ahead, chow down, it's too good not to. Don't make the mistake of ordering the pork or anything, just stick with the pizza. I say go, deal with the long wait, highschoolers and small kids, and eat delicious, amazing pizza. What's the rush anyways? Look at it as time to chat and drink with your loved ones.

Haven't checked in here about our visits to Parmesans, as you can see by the number of check-ins, we are here a LOT. There are a few new gourmet pizzas on the menu that need to be mentioned, the first is the buffalo chicken pizza. It is simply AWESOME! Can even get it with some celery and blue cheese on the side. It's just the right amount of heat and the sauce makes it slightly sweet, you won't be disappointed. This month there's a Chicken Ceasar Salad pizza on the menu, and while I'm not a big Ceasar Salad guy, the pizza is actually very tasty and I'd recommend it. The chef gave us a preview of next months special which is a Penne Ala Vodka pizza. I have had the Penna Ala Vodka numerous times and wasn't sure how you could make a pasta dish into a pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised on how good it is. My wife and I both agreed that it's right up there with our favorite gourmet pizzas. It's not only the taste, but a perfect texture that makes the pizza work so well. If it's not on the menu when you go, ask to see if you can get one, you won't regret it! Everything else pretty much stands from my last review. The service is always good and the staff friendly. The reviews that complain about slow service must not go out much, as ANY restaurant slows down a bit when it's packed to capacity and Parmesans is often just that on weekend nights. Parmesans still reigns as our favorite pizza place / Italian restaurant in the area and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I love the stuffed pizza sandwich! The bread is to die for and the pesto sauce that they serve when you come in is so YUMMY! We first came across Parmesans at the Frankort market and have been hooked ever since!

I really wanted a place called Parmesan's to have freshly grated parmesan available for my entree, but alas, all they had was the powdery stuff... I had a pizza there that had very little flavor (and some sort of white sauce that wasn't seasoned properly). I asked for a side of red sauce, and that helped it along a little bit. I also had their lemon chicken another time, which is my mom and sister's favorite, but I was there during the week and I heard that the regular chef doesn't always work during the week, and the sauce on the lemon chicken was sort of watery. One thing I do love is their warm bread and bright green yummy, garlicky pesto! Sooo good!

My family and I like to patronize our local establishments. Parmesans is definitely one that we like to frequent. Chef Michael always takes the time to say hello and wave, no matter how busy the restaurant is. For starters, you receive the homemade dinner rolls and divine pesto sauce to go with them. My kids love them! I like to order the eggplant parmesan and my husband LOVES their Italian hero sandwich (w/ fries of course). My kids enjoy their brick-oven pizzas. At times, the waiter/waitress have given them pizza dough to play w/ at the table to pass the time while waiting for our food :) Also, if you're looking for a yummy appetizer than try their calamari. It's not oily nor rubbery. Don't forget to save room for dessert. I'm a big fan of their carrot cake. My kids like any dessert w/ chocolate ganache in it esp. their chocolate mousse and chocolate pizza. I have used them for catering several times as well. I have gotten many nice compliments from my guests. Frankfort is lucky to have Parmesans! Their involvement in the community is overwhelming. It's a must try!!!

I ate at Parmesans for lunch with a couple of friends. Parmesans was almost empty and we were allowed to seat ourselves. The restaurant had a very rustic feel, with the decorations, smell, and music. To start the bread was given with a very delicious side. I'm not sure what it was, but it looked like a combination of oil and some sort of herb. We ordered calamari and a gourmet pizza for each of us (meat lovers, white, and chicken something). A generous serving of calamari was given. It was a little unevenly seasoned though. Portions of the calamari tasted very salty where others tasted a little bland. The meat lovers pizza was exactly as described a pizza for those who love meat. There was only a little bit of cheese but a lot of meat. Each bite of the pizza tasted just a little different from the last, predominately tasting like the meat that topped it rather than a pizza. After receiving our leftovers, we waited for the change of our bill and the receipt. It wasn't until ten or fifteen minutes later, we had to go to the register to ask for the two. Apparently our waitress ended her shift without giving our receipt and change back. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The food was decent and the service was mediocre. I would be interested in seeing the dining experience at night.

I have eaten here for years and I only come back for the food. As usual the service was terrible. We were there over 2 hours. Our waitress said it was something about the kitchen. Guests who came in after us were served and left before we received our food. Our food was not up to par they forget to include something in my husband's meal and my food was only warm at best. I will continue to go, but it will be awhile again.

This place is great! Great chef who owns the joint. I cannot say enough about their sandwiches. The pork, the muffaletta, etc are phenomenal. Service is the weak spot here, but tolerable. Just don't expect veteran waitstaff, and you'll be thrilled. And the desserts are magnifico. Great date night place for us when we can get away from the kids. If you live near the Lincolnway area, it's a must try! I don't mean to dismiss their pizza and Italian dishes, all top notch. I love their bracciole, woodstone roast pork (sauce is amazing), and their half chicken in forestiere is awesome.

My mom and I stopped by for lunch with the groupon they offered and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a Saturday afternoon and they were busier than I assumed they would be. The teenagers working the counter and serving everyone were really hustling and kept up a good attitude despite being swamped with tables. We sat down and they brought us pesto with garlic and olive oil to spread on some bread. I don't normally like pesto but I thought I would try it and I was pleasantly surprised. I think because there was a ton of garlic in there it was stronger to the taste than the pesto. We then ordered a bunch of stuff figuring we could take some home for later. The fried calamari appetizer was a HUGE portion and definitely served more than two people. The marinara sauce that was served with it was also really good. We also split the caesar salad which again was a huge portion. The dressing was mixed in really well and I love anything flavored with garlic. Finally we ordered the bruschetta pizza and this was the only normal sized portion we had! It was big enough to serve 1-2 people without being grossly over-sized. We only had one slice before we asked if we could take the rest to go. It was also nice because it had tomatoes, olives, and cheese, but not tomato sauce. Considering we just ate a ton of sauce with the calamari I liked having actual pieces of tomato on the pizza. Overall it was a good experience. The seating area is smaller than I imagined and it seems they do a lot of carryout business. I would love to try more of the specialty pizzas and sit outside in the summer.

YUM!!!! Love this place. The pizza is so good. The portions of anything are big enough to have a second meal. The place is cute inside and has an outside patio. The desserts are delicious and huge. The complimentary rolls and pesto are addicting. The service is spectacular!

I don't live in the area but come out to visit friends a couple of times a year. The first place that's always on my list is a visit to Parmesans and I'm never disappointed. In fact, it's so good we go back at least a few additional times during my trip. I have never had pizza so good and I've ate pizza at a lot of different places. I highly recommend giving the Pizza Cindy a shot but all of the gourmet pizzas that I've tried are excellent. The standard thin crust pizza with sausage is also killer. I have always felt the crust is one of the most important parts of a pizza and the Parmesans crust is simply out of this world. The thing that people might not know, is this place also has excellent Italian food. The combo dinner with the roasted pork and Penne Carbonara is a real winner. So if you're not looking for pizza but have a craving for excellent Italian style food, Parmesans has you covered there too. The service is excellent and their dessert tray is lethal (in a very good way). I can honestly say that Parmesans is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I actually fly thousands of miles for it!

Tried Parmesans for the first time yesterday. Started with the Pesto Garlic Bread, then had a small sausage thin crust pizza. Everything tasted great, have to go back and try the desserts. Everything appears to be handmade and fresh. Will go back anytime I'm in the area.

This was by far the worst food I have ever paid for. Seriously. My husband and I ordered from here sometime in late January. Not sure of the date, but we had gotten like 6 inches of snow on a Friday evening. Yeah, that day. So I told my husband to grab whatever was on his way home. So he mentioned this place. I pulled up their website and was quite thrilled to see that I could place the order online. I hate calling suburban pizza joints on a Friday night. It just irritates me. I start to use this ordering system and sure enough TEN minutes later I managed to coplete and order only to learn the online ordering section of their website doesn't function. Not inoperable at that moment. It DOESN'T FUNCTION. I call to place the order and wasn't offered a total. True enough, I didn't as. After all how much could a large pizza and large salad be? 25-30 bucks tops? Wrong, oh so oh so wrong. The total was 39.00!!! Seriously? My husband called me from the place and asked me what on earth did I order. I wondered myself, but wasn't about to call back to see. My husband arrived home and we opened the box and the pizza looked absolutely disgusting. We ordered their super thick crust and the pizza was rectangular and looked like someone made pizza on top of a pan of dinner rolls. The crust was literally falling apart in chunks and the sauce had dripped down the side during cooking leaving a burnt rubbery black substance all along the side of the pizza. The pizza itself was super super doughy, again, crust was listerally as thick as a dinner roll (2-3 inches or so) and had a very stale, gamey OLD taste. The sausage was sliced lengthwise and left in the casing and numbered exactly 5 small slices in total. I checked the reciept to see why exactly the bill was so high and discovered I was charged 2.75 for that burnt sauce that was dripping all over the pizza. 2.75 for extra sauce??? WOW. I also discovered that the menu prices online are off by a few dollars for the pizza and I believe .75 for the toppings. So my order was about 8.00 more than I was led to believe by their menu. I had my fill after about two bites and was considering it an expensive lesson learned. My husband who consumes some of the worst food ever produced complained and that was my que that the food was subpar. I contacted them and they offered a credit for the order. Make no mistake, I was grateful and super appreciative that we didn't have to trek back out in the blizzard to return that mess. Fast forward to now. We decided to cash in our credit. I learned to stay far far away from their pizza. Instead we ordered two pasta dishes. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and he ordered a Shrimp Dish. The description read like scampi or perhaps a garlic and oil type sauce. We got the food home and holy moly it was worse than the pizza. SHEESH. Anyone who cooks knows that heavy cream and even whole milk have a somewhat sweet taste. The alfredo sauce was oddly sweet and milky tasting with a slight hint of garlic. Basically it tastes like pasta in milk. I couldn't stomach more than the first bite. My husbands dish that should have been oil or butter based had a similar milky sweet sauce, only not as thick. The chicken atop my dish was unbelievably undersalted with the primary spice being oregano or italian seasoning. And my husbands shrimp HAD to have been the pre cooked frozen deals you get at the market. Bright pink, supery rubber and no real flavor. I left it at that, the mean was sorta free, kinda. Honestly, it was just plain bad cooking. Gummy pasta and dough, rolls that were doughy on the inside and one shade from being burned on the bottom. it really is horrible. I notice a lotta reviewers had groupons and dined in. Maybe thats a magic combo for this place. because we tried pizza, salad, rolls and pasta and it was all the worst food Ive ever paid for.

This is a very nice restaurant. Based on other reviews, I was expecting slow service. However, service was actually pretty good Ate outside on the back patio, which was nice and clean. Although the restaurant is more casual in nature, some of the eating experience feels more like fine dining. For example, instead of bringing you a desert menu, they actually bring you a tray with all their deserts on them

Pizza is sometimes undercooked if the place is busy, best to go at lunchtime rather then dinner.

I came here with my parents who have been here a few times before. We each ordered our own 10 inch pizza, but me and my dad could have easily shared one. My mom ordered hers with sausage and mushroom and really liked it (and she is a pizza snob). My dad stepped out of the box a little with a ricotta, pesto, and sun-dried tomato pizza. We both thought it was just "okay." Everyone loved the white pizza I ordered with broccoli. The crust was really good and the wood oven cooking method really sets the place apart from other Italian restaurants. I wouldn't trek all the way out here for Parmesans, but when I'm visiting my parents it's a good spot.

Great casual restaurant with outdoor seating. Super friendly and helpful waitress who knew about the menu and could describe everything on it in detail. My family and I all tried different gourmet pizzas. Each one was delicious. We were expecting them to be much smaller and took home about half. They have beautiful desserts. We couldn't eat any more so we took home a slice of chocolate mousse cake and a slice of decadent chocolate pizza. The mousse cake was very light and tastey. The chocolate pizza was very rich and the portion was enough for 3 people.

My wife, 5 year old son and I sampled some pizza from Parmesans Wood Stone Pizza at the Kankakee Farmers Market today (6/25/2011) and was blown away. Of course the pizza was not fresh but the taste and quality was awesome. The crust was thick and soft with the outside having a slight crispiness as you first bight into it.. The sauce was tangy but with enough sweetness to satisfy us. We are planning a trip to the Frankfort location for a full dinner experience. By the way, the man and the girl serving at the tent we very nice and polite. Their stand was organized and attention was given to cleanliness. Great job!

Great fresh baked bread with pesto. We tried penne and chicken francaise entrees they were tasty. The desserts all looked great...tried the cannoli but thought it was average at best. Otherwise, ambiance and cost was good. I would return and try some pizza.

Good food. I've tried their pasta, sandwiches, pizza, soups - everything has been yummy. I've even had their chocolates - delicious. I love sitting on their patio in the summer. Even though it faces Route 30, it's set back enough (with a wall) that you don't notice.

Today was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The rolls and pesto dip were delicious and fragrant with herbs . We had the deep-dish pizza and it was fresh and flavorful with an excellent crust. We were delighted with everything and can't recommend this enough.

Great patio, great music, fresh bread - need I say more? Parmesan's bakes their own bread and pizzas in a giant wood stove, and the wood flavor really comes through. Bread is served with a delicious pesto. I have never had a bad meal here, and would highly recommend the super meat pizza. They also have a full bar and some amazing desserts. Service is always right on, attentive without being obtrusive.

Only one thing to say. CRUST. We ordered sausage pizza. Large. The crust that was around the pizza had to be, and I'm not making this up, at least 2 inches wide. NOT thick, but WIDE. That left about nothing for the rest of the pizza, which was soggy? Doughy in the middle, and the sauce, and sausage were questionable. We took maybe 2, 3 bites, and left everything. The waitress asked how everything is, and Me being me, I told her with no reservations what I thought. She asked, well, would you like to take the rest home? I just said this was one of the worst pizzas I ever had? WHAT makes you think I wanna take it home? Sorry to say THIS will never happen again.

Always a fan here. A wonderful gem in Frankfort, IL. I have yet to be disappointed, the portions are generous, the food piping hot and always fresh. A casual Friday evening dinner is always a wonderful ending to a hectic week at work. Last visit I had the 4 course Valentine meal which consisted of salad, pasta, entree and dessert for $25. Portions were generous, the food was wonderful. Family friendly!

I didn't even know what pesto was until my husband and I came here for the first time for some pizza. They give you free bread and pesto sauce when you sit down. I took one look at it and said "ew." My husband assured me I would like it, and forced me to dip the bread in it and try it. My life has forever changed. That pesto is amazing and I will continue coming here specifically for that. The pizza was good too. We've come a few times since the first visit and have gotten a few different appetizers and different styles of pizza. All very good. I also recommend the pesto cheesy bread for an app. The one time we came, our pizza took over an hour to come out. They must have either forgotten about us or burnt the first and had to remake. To make up for it, they sent us home with a bunch of free desserts. The location itself is rather small with not a whole lot of tables. It gets pretty busy on weekend evenings. I also see that they always have deals on Groupon. Overall, good family owned place.

Parmesans has become our go to place for pizza. From the bread rolls and pesto to the pizza everything is top-notch/first-rate. The atmosphere is excellent and the service is great. Their pasta dishes are outstanding. This place is a keeper.

Absolutely awesome. The service was attentive, pretty, and friendly. The food was awesome. The pizza was crispy on the bottom and you could literally taste the freshness. The carbonara had a strong onion flavor, so beware of that if you're not a fan. I, however, love onion, so I was a happy camper. The calamari was great! Nice portions and super fresh stuff. I cannot wait to go back again. By the way, if you don't get dessert, you're dumb.

I am known for having mediocre taste in pizza but Parmesan's is pizza for the picky pizza people! The crust is perfect every time, the sauce is savory and just right, the cheese is magic... Never a bad pie here. They also give the table these rolls that are (I assume) pizza dough but they give this AMAZING pesto with it! I want to put the pesto on everything!! I usually ask for more for my pizza. They have many pizza topping options but I am more than ok with the classic cheese -this pizza needs no frills to blow your mind. Like I said, I simply love pizza and I can dig into sabaros like its 5 star pizza.... Parmesans IS the real deal though. It's usually packed but it's worth the short wait for a table. Kids are everywhere bc I mean pizza is the official food of the youthful. The staff is excellent-it's like all your friends' little sisters work there or something... They feel like family friends.

I was just installed as the president of the Frankfort Lions Club and had Parmesans cater the night. Michael, the owner was very helpful with suggestions and the food was excellent. The Chicken Francaise was excellent and the Pork entree was a great hit. We had the pizza for dessert. Yum. They delivered it and set it up on time and everything was there for us to jump right in and devour the delicious food. I would certainly have him cater my events again and look forward to dining in very soon. Thank you Parmesans Wood Stone Pizza!!!!

Generally I don't review a place that I've only gone too once but I don't see this place messing anything up in the future. I came here while visiting family for lunch. We were the first ones there, so we had the inside to ourselves. This was nice because we were with some rug rats that never sit still. Props to the waitress for never faulting or showing frustration. She did a wonderful job during our entire dining experience. We ordered drinks which were served with this pesto sauce and homemade bread. Honestly, I could have just had my beer and the bread and dip. It was so so tasty and the bread was soft and chewy. Yum! I ended up ordering a large thin crust with sausage, onions, mushrooms, and black olives. My brother and his wife ordered the white sauce pizza with spinach. Both pizza's were fabulous! They use such fresh cheese and ingredients. I love this pizza. We also orders a single slice of cheese for the 3 kids to split. 1 slice was $4.00 and was so big, I don't think I would have even finished it by myself. We asked the waitress to cut it in 3 pieces. Cheapest lunch for 3 kids and they absolutely loved it! I wish I didn't eat so much pizza during my visit because their deserts look ridiculously amazing! I'll definitely be back!

I have no idea why this place only had three and a half stars! The bake their own bread which is brought to the table with fresh made pesto. The bread is wonderful! The meats are high quality and the service is great. And did I mention cheap?!?? Seriously, worth every star.

Delicious food, just like the Tinley park location. (But better than Tinley parks location because there's more parking & no commuters opening doors all the time, causing drafts in the winter!!) The waiters are not as attentive or quick as the Tinley park location though!

They won't get a 2nd chance at a 1st impression. It took several minutes for a server to acknowledge us. They were out of our favorite beverage and kids' cups. The pizza was awful! My sodium count is off the charts after one piece! It was either the pepperoni or they smothered the top in salt. My son's chicken tenders arrived 10 mins after the rest of the table and my soup at the same time as the main course. We were really looking forward to trying this place, but we won't be back.

This is the second time we've eaten at Parmesans, and sometimes when you revisit a place, it's never quite as good the first time. But we loved it as much this time as the first. My husband had the Shrimp Scampi and the scampi sauce was light and tasty, cooked perfectly (so the cream does not separate from the oil) and the shrimp was excellent (not overcooked or chewy). I had the Pesto Ricotta Cheese (gluten free) pizza with sun-dried tomatoes. The crust was a little thin as is typical for GF pizza crust, but what it lacked in chewy consistency it totally made up for in flavor. It was like eating a zesty, Jersey style thin crust. My husband insists that I mention the complimentary bread served with fresh pesto. The small baguettes (not GF) are served warm from the oven with a pesto sauce that taste like the basil came straight from an Italian garden. It must be made with a good quality olive oil, because I swear, it's so good, you could drink it (but I had a glass of Merlot instead). We finished with a monstrous GF chocolate brownie desert topped with pastry cream and dark chocolate curls. It was so rich; we only made it through half (the other half awaits in the fridge for whoever claims it first). It's definite we will return here again and considered that it would be a great place for a double date. Can't wait!

This is a great dining option in Frankfort. I recommend sticking with the pizzas, but from what I know the pasta is good as well. The rolls with pesto everyone talks about really are to die for! The service is a bit inexperienced (young) but always friendly and eager to please. The staff seem very genuine in caring about customer service, always a big plus in my book!

Stumbled upon the most amazing bread I have ever had while shopping at the Downtown Joliet farmers market. My husband and myself bought the three cheese and pesto bread and we both agree it is unbelievably delicious. Can't wait to visit the Frankfurt location ASAP!

This place is such a cute spot for great food in the burbs, perfect for a date or a family night out. The pizza at parmesan's is amazing, and they have a ton of specialty pizzas to choose from. When you sit down, they give you warm rolls and pesto, which is also amaze. Mike, the owner and chef, seems like a great guy. We went in a large group & he came over to introduce himself, & then invited the kiddos back behind the counter to make their own pizzas & watch them cook in the wood oven. They absolutely loved it & they came running back with chef's hats. too cute. The prices are reasonable for an italian restaurant, and the menu has something for everyone. Most of the ingredients are purchased from local famers markets, and you can really tell the difference in quality. Parmesan's is definitely a must-try for pizza in the burbs.

I've been here maybe three or four times and each time, barring the first, was mediocre. Decor: Cheesy, wannabe Italian bistro look. With a weird mix of Frank Sinatra and top 40/country music playing in the background. Atmosphere: Weird. Just weird. All of the servers are blonde teenaged girls, and they're uniform in the summertime is short shorts and v neck tees. Barely legal hooters does pizza or something? Weird. A testament to the creep of an owner, Michael. The pizza cook was also a teenager. Does this guy have something against hiring experienced staff? The mainly awesome thing here is the bread and pesto they serve you when you first come in. Everything else is hit or miss, or just plain "meh" The last time I went, I had a half sausage, have mushroom, onion, green pepper pizza. It was soggy in the middle. Seriously. Soggy. There were puddles of either water or grease on the pizza. (maybe they use frozen cheese, sometimes that'll cause excess moisture, but this was insane, i put napkins on top of my pizza to sop up some of the water.) Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get one of the older and more experienced waitresses. She informed the cook of the issues, gave me five bucks off, and a free dessert. She's why the place get's two stars instead of one. And the desserts- do NOT waste your money. I have seen first hand one of the girls scraping old frosting off a cake and putting on fresh frosting. (maybe they shouldn't have a window into the kitchen if they're gonna do stuff like that) disgusting, and shameful. Way overpriced for old desserts.

We ate here on Valentines Day and had a great experience. I was worried about the bad service reviews but we gave it a shot. The service we experienced was Great so I am guessing they read the bad reviews. We were greeted immediately after walking in. We got a table immediately and was told our server would be right with us. Our server arrived quickly and constantly checked in with us. They gave us fresh bread and pesto prior to even ordering. This my first time having pesto because I am used to getting butter or oil. The Pesto was out of this world. We ordered the thin crust crispy pizza. The pizza was good but the farthest thing from crispy. They used shavings for the sausage and big chunks of tomatoes. It looks like a pizza they would serve in Italy. The pizza is obviously made in a Wood Burning Oven which you can see when you first walk in. After dinner they gave us 2 complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. Then when we got up to leave they gave us 2 complimentary cinnamon rolls to go. I have never been to a restaurant that gave away free food without having to ask for it. Overall a great experience but the pizza could have been crispier. I will definitely come back.

We live down the street from Parmesans and walk there in the summer. Its nice to sit outside on the patio. It gets very crowded especially inside, so get there early if you plan to try it. Also the odor of creosote inside can be rather strong and bothersome if you have allergies. They do have a wood stove for cooking the pizzas and rolls which smells as though it has not been cleaned in quite awhile. Food is good and you can order to go if you choose. There are a large variety of pastries but they are quite costly.

After much time at Sweet Dreams Bakery in Tinley Park ordering cupcakes for my son's 3rd birthday party, I decided to give this place a try. The decor is lovely, I felt as I was transported to a far off city. Unfortunately, I can not enjoy the flavors of decor and am stuck with what is on the plate. This place is more of a bakery then somewhere to dine, except that garlic pesto. I thought it extremely lovely that they offer pesto and garlic rolls. The pesto is delish! Maybe I should have ordered some to take home. Enjoyed some soup, but having my 3 year old as a dinner companion makes it difficult to jump ship. NevertheIess, I knew better then to eat there. This is how I knew: Me: Oh wow the menu looks great! Waitress: Yeah everything is good here Me: Do you make your own pasta? Waitress: No, we don't, (look of unease) we bake the bread, but mostly everything else comes in frozen. Me: What about the sauces? Are they made in house? Waitress: Oh, most of them. Me: What about the soup? Waitress: It is made daily. Me: Okay, we know what we want. What we ordered: Potato soup sans the bacon ~ it, besides the pesto was the star of the meal. Son and I shared the baked cheese ravioli - I know, I know, but we had to do something. ~ I thought at least the sauce would be decent and there would be fresh parmesan. And really I've purchased frozen ravioli it can be okay. Not really, the cheese was not parmesan, it was thick mozzarella. The sauce was okay, but the ravioli was terrible, it was chalky. Literally my son ate half of one and I ate the other half of a/singular ravioli. The waitress looked at the dish and asked me if everything was okay. I told the truth and she asked if I would like to wrap the rest. At that I chuckled, asked to take the pesto and rolls, paid the bill and son and I went home to a delish peanut butter and apple butter sandwich on potato bread. This place kicks butt with the garlic pesto and bread, maybe even their other baked goods. They fall terribly short with pasta. If in the area, I would definitely stop in for some of that green, garlicky, deliciousness. But I would stop right there. Happy Eats!

We've eaten in and attempted delivery twice. While I love this style of pizza (thin with fluffy, chewy, doughy crust), the expensive price plus horrible delivery experiences are keeping us away (completely burnt pizza, pizza stacked so that the cheese is all attached to the top of the box and not the pizza). There are just too many other pizza options- Nancy consistently delivers a cheaper, superior product.

I buy bread and bagels from their stand at my local farmer's market and really loved what we've bought from there. I've been seeing groupons for this place like every week. It's near my boyfriends house and we are at the library all day studying. When we finally couldn't take being hungry much longer, I popped onto groupon's site and bought it up. Then we drove there. First off, the construction of Route 30 must be hurting their business. I hate dealing with construction. Luckily there wasn't much traffic and we only passed it once and had to turn around and go back (oh well). Inside, the place is pretty small and feels like a little italian cafe. I can see desserts from our table which is a horrible thing for my self-control. I didn't end up getting a dessert after our meal, we had so much leftovers as it was. The bread n pesto they bring out is delicious... probably the cause of the large amount of leftovers when we left. My bf got the italian beef specialty pizza with giardiniera. I got the bbq chicken pizza and added pinneapple. The pizza is definitely too big for one person to eat. I'm not a huge fan of the crust or the thinness of the crust in the middle. You can't really pick up the slice of pizza and eat. But the bbq sauce they used was super sweet and I really liked it. The pineapple almost made it too sweet. Dan loved his pizza and he's picky about Italian Beef. I tried it and thought it tasted good, but mine had more toppings... the chicken were large chunks of meat.... not chopped up at all. Overall we both liked our food. Didn't wait a while, but it wasn't crowded (we were there at like 4pm on a Saturday). Next time, we'll split a specialty pizza and get desert. They don't get any big title like "favorite place to get pizza" but with the groupon deal, def worth visiting and will def go back.

Fairly decent find - wife and I we out on a sojourn and enjoyed a lunch sitting out on their patio - service was friendly, attentive and what was appropriate. We both had a soup, hers Minestrone and mine Potato purée, a bit to much like mashed potatoes with extra milk, her soup a dash above average. Both not from the can. My wife enjoyed a 12 inch White Pizza with Spinach - we both thought the taste of the sauce and the spinach were good but the crust and dough were too thick, (as has been mentioned in other Yelp reviews.) I enjoyed a healthy Chicken salad - tasty moist meat, fresh lettuces with mushrooms, and a good dressing - not drenched, just right. Price was fair and a general rating of OK - Say no more.

This place was recommended by my boyfriend's parents. Although they had the seating a little awkward to accommodate two large groups it wasn't uncomfortable. The food came in humongous portions and it was delicious! Their fries are some of the best I've ever tasted. Our server was incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick.

The pesto here is amazing and the pizza isn't bad if you like wood burning ovens but I don't recommend the desserts or the service. The service is slow and the desserts are not edible. I would recommend just trying the pizza and the bread with pesto.

Braciole is one of those dishes I've drooled over on the internet but had never been anywhere that had it on the menu until now, and I can tell you, the way Parmesans makes it, it was even better than I imagined! Big generous bundles of beef wrapped around Italian sausage resting in a big pile of perfectly cooked penne and smothered it a really tasty marinara. Every once in a while I'll have one of those dishes that haunts my dreams, smacking me in the chops with an irresistible craving out of the blue, and I have a feeling this will be one of those dishes. Beyond that, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his barbeque pork pizza, we both enjoyed the bread and pesto, I really enjoyed my iced tea that had a hint of raspberry flavor without beating you over the head with it or being excessively sweet, and we loved sitting on the outdoor patio on a pleasant summer evening. I'm mad at myself for waiting this long to give Parmesans a try and I know I'll be back soon. There are plenty of other things on the menu I'm eager to try, but I know that when I open the menu and see "beef and sausage braciole" again, it's gonna be really hard not to go for it again.

My boyfriend and I were hungry and wanted a good place to eat close to home. After trying a couple of places that weren't open for dinner yet in the area we stumbled upon this place to which neither of us has ever been. Not only was everything we had (especially the pizza) great but the staff was extremely fun, friendly, and attentive. And very hard working!!! We definitely plan to return!! Yumm!!!

I am absolutely thrilled by this place!! We recently booked a party for 20 people and they accommodated all of us and made it extremely easy!! The food was outstanding the service was amazing and everyone enjoyed themselves. Michael the chef was super nice and easy to work with!!! We have dined here before and loved it and recommended it. Now I can say book a party!! U won't be disappointed:)

First off... Awesome pesto! The rolls they give was good too, but that pesto was really, really delicious! That being said, it's a nice suburban Italian restaurant, but it didn't blow me away for the pizza. We had two of the gourmet videos because the waitress told us that each pizza is like a personal pizza. Actually, one pizza is enough for two people. The pizzas were not really crispy and kind of too doughy. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either. Service was okay as well. Table was dirty... We actually had a plastic tablecloth for some reason that had tomato sauce caked on. Overall though, it wasn't a disaster... It was really just ok.

I stopped in here due to a rapidly expiring groupon, and I must tell you that I am glad I did! This location has an amazing selection of options for the Gluten Free Girl! I took my order to go, and let me tell you that it was worth the trip. The GF pizza, if you've ever had GF pizza, was the most delicious that I have ever tasted! Most of the time, gluten free means cardboard-esque, but at Parmesans, the pizza crust was delightful. After hearing all the hubbub about the pesto, I ordered the Pesto Ricotta and Sundried tomato combo. The ricotta was fresh and the pesto was to DIE FOR. I could have done with a more thinly sliced sun dried tomato, though. I also ate a cannoli (not gluten free, but I was feeling gluttonous), and that was totally sub-par in comparison with the pizza. It actually seemed like a mass produced dessert. It was crazy busy (I'm not sure if that was from the groupon or what) but the parking in the area is really crappy. So, be prepared to walk a while, but it is worth the effort for SURE.

Hard to write a review when you're drunk on pesto ...bought a GF pizza at the Palos farmers market this morning, baked it up for lunch and played the "one more piece" game. OH, I shouldn't, but then again l haven't had a pizza this good, let alone a Gluten Free pizza, in a long time...OH, I shouldn't, but the slice on the right is a little messy and lopsided, I'll just cut some off of it to neaten it up...Oops, now the one on the left looks disproportionate... Loved how the crust was über crispy after baking 20 minutes and the cheese got browned and bubbly, as well as the sun-dried tomatoes. Personally, I would like more garlic, but my family and I need garlic rehab, so most diners will not agree with my viewpoint. Look forward to trying the GF garlic/butter/chicken one next, with extra garlic added of course... Wanna Kiss????

One of the better places in the south suburbs for Italian food. A little on the pricey side for pasta - but given the other choices in the burbs (chains or other independent restaurants) it is one of the best. The only negative about the restaurant is that it is very small so if you come during the weekend dinning hours - you might have to wait for some time without anywhere to sit. You will also be fight for space with other waiting or carry out customers coming in. Go early and enjoy your dinner.

I have been to Parmesans previously and had their pizza at the Farmers Market, etc. I always thought their crust had too much bread. I previously wrote it off. I tried again as their menu offers a thin and crispy style pizza. I even ordered it extra thin and crispy, as advised by the person who was taking phone orders. I still thought it was rather thick crusted. Pro's: * Non-Chainy * Friendly staff * Menu items and ingredients appear to be fresh Con's: * Way too much bread in their pizza.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
