Very good food. Even better service. I enjoy the fact they make sure to say hello the instant you walk in the door and goodbye right before you leave. The scent as soon as the door opens is addicting and keeps me coming back for more.

I don't drink soda at all but I must say, they have a pretty cool soda machine! anyways, i love firehouse chicken salad sandwich! it's one of the better fast food chicken salad sandwiches. Also with the 20+ bottles of hot sauce they have? Super yum!

Excellent tasting sandwiches. Good quality. Love the huge selection of different hot sauces. Much better than most sandwich places in my opinion.

Love.the bread, love the subs, love the service. What else is there to say? Try one of the Heart and Flavorful under 500 calories sandwiches. Deeelish!

This place has great food and is a good place to hit up if you like sandwiches and want a change from the usual subway selection. It has a fairly friendly staff. However, I recently realized how unhealthy their food really is, and that was a bit disappointing. Somehow they have packed a days worth of calories in most of their subs. Won't be back anytime soon.

Everytime I've eaten here it's been delicious. Saw this little sign on the table so I thought I'd leave a comment!!!

I ordered the Italian Sub and it was delicious. Their BBQ hot sauce has great flavor and just enough spice. Fun place for kids because their decor is all firefighter related. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and patient with me when I was a little indecisive. I love that they offer lower calorie items as well. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely love this place! We ordered 2 subs. The Hook and Ladder (Monterrey Jack with Ham and Turkey) and the Beef and Cheddar Brisket. OH MY!! That Brisket sandwich was not only different than any other Metro-East sub place, but it made me drool. Seriously spilled hot sauce on my shirt. I'm looking forward to the Hawaiian pulled pork sandwich for next time. The service was quick, especially for being super busy. The manager was cashering and was really friendly. My favorite thing about this place is not only do they have a bar of hot sauces (like about 30-40 hot sauces) but they have their own on the side. This is a MUST TRY!!!

While I didn't try a sub while i was here, i did have a bite of one! The bread is fresh and delicious :) I tried the chili, while it wasn't in my top favs for restaurants it was in the middle, it was just okay. I will come back here to try out a sub, but i wasn't wowed like alot of people, i am a fan of jimmy johns. Keep in mind i'm not a huge fan of spicey so that may be why im not a huge fan of this place. I will update my review when i try out a sub. Oh parking during lunch is HORRIBLE. Be prepared to walk from the strip mall behind it. No handicap available. There may be 1-2 spots in the small strip mall but they def weren't available.

Darling honey LOVES this place--- and before they brought FireHouse to this region he would always eat at the one in Richmond--and he RAVED about them. So coming home a couple weekends ago, I mentioned going to FH for lunch and of course he was down. My dad is a volunteer firefighter, and I immediately already loved the place. I decided to order the Turkey Bacon Ranch, but with chicken---(i know, i know) It took a little while for our sammys to come out, but it was WAY worth the wait.. THAT sandwich---- was DELICIOUS-------!!! I know- i am a lover of deli sandwiches--but this one--- was so good!!! And honestly, I cant wait to go back--- Not to mention---- get this--- when you walk in-- look in the corner-- It looks some drink machine from outter space--for riz.! They have something like over 220 different kinds of drinks you can make.. CRAZY-NESS..! but oh so cool ! THey also have a ton of different hot sauces and stuff you can choose from- my sandwich was perfect, so i didnt need to add anything. I can now see why my honey loves this place so much. Beware- its a little hard to find, but its RIGHT next to Bread Co. there in the strip mall... so after a long hard day of shopping, or just out and about- stop in! you wont be sorry! oh..and they even have little firehats, for little firemen...;)

Nothing bad but nothing special. The decor was nice and I like the idea it was founded by firemen, but the food was just average. I had the turkey and my husband has the corned beef, both had nothing out of the ordinary. The cookie tasted like the plastic it was wrapped in and the sweet tea wasn't that sweet. The hot sauce bar was cool. Penn sub station is way better.

Yum! Had the meatball sub from here and it was delicious! Good quality meatballs, good sauce, tons of cheese and toasted bread. This sounds silly, but they have THE coolest soda machine! It has a digital front and you can pick any soda and mix any syrup with it. Grape Sprite? Strawberry Coke? You got it! It's just so neat. Anyways, decor is cute and the place is very clean. So many hot sauces to choose from too. All in all good place.

IN SHORT: One of the better chain sub shops in the area, and absolutely a great choice if you like hot sauces. Not the strongest choice for herbivores, but there is a decent meatless sub on the menu that's good if you need something quick and easy. THE WHOLE STORY: I rarely review chains, but since Firehouse Subs is a recent addition to the Metro East and isn't in the most obvious place, I thought it was worthy of a review. My wife and I had dinner there along with our toddler, and we really enjoyed what we got. Firehouse Subs is a quick-service restaurant with an emphasis on subs supposedly developed by firemen. They have some signage up that says that some of their proceeds benefit local fire departments, though I didn't see a lot of clear explanations about how this works. (For example, they sell pickle buckets for $2 apiece to benefit charity, but I didn't see which charity or how the money is actually used printed anywhere.) So, there's a socially-conscious element to eating at Firehouse Subs, but the real question most people will want to know is whether the food is any good. To which I'd respond, "absolutely!" provided that you're looking for a sandwich, chips and soda. The pricing's on par with chains like Quizno's, Jersey Mike's and Penn Station, and the quality of the food is better than any quick-service sub place I've been to. I got the veggie sub, which is basically a melange of all of their non-meat options. The bread was good and the veggies went together well, so I have no complaints. My wife got the meatball sub and said that the meatballs were far and above better than anything she's had at other quick-service sub shops. Our daughter got a grilled cheese and was very happy with it, though she was much more interested in her chips and cookies than her sandwich. She also enjoyed her free fireman's hat, which comes with every kid's meal. If you like soda choices, Firehouse Subs has one of those new touch-screen Coca-Cola dispensers, which means you get to pick out one of dozens of soda choices (including less popular choices like Mello Yellow Zero, which made me quite happy!). Unfortunately, the machine broke down while we were there, and there didn't seem to be much of a backup plan. Let's hope that's not a regular occurrence. Also, Firehouse Subs has a large array of hot sauces available, some of which are quite hot indeed. If you like spicy, you should check this place out -- they have some seriously hot choices available. They also serve chili (which isn't meatless, but which smelled quite good!) and specialty sandwiches like a pulled pork and coleslaw mixture served on a Hawaiian roll. All in all, I'm impressed. I wish more chains were willing to focus on quality instead of broad appeal (I'm looking at you, Subway!). Oh, and since it's not particularly easy to see from the road, Firehouse Subs is in a small strip mall in front of Office Depot, HH Gregg and Five Below, right across from Motherhood Maternity and GameStop and in the same building as Pizza Hut and St. Louis Bread Co. The seating inside is crowded and limited, but they do have takeout, and there's a lovely park around the corner if it's a nice day.

We came here for dinner for the first time the other night. The staff were very friendly and greeted us as we walked in the door. My husband ordered the Steak & Cheese, I had the Engineer, and our two boys ordered a Turkey and Cheese Kids Meal and a Grilled Cheese Kids Meal. I liked that the kid's meals came with a choice of either a bag of chips or a dessert, a drink, and a fireman's hat. Our boys really loved the Coke machine, which was one of the newer ones with over 100 variations of Coke products. Our food was ready quickly, and both sandwiches were delicious. I tried a couple bites of my husband's, and his was delicious, as was my Engineer. The restaurant itself was very clean, and we both loved the hot sauce bar, which had probably 40 different hot sauces. These were rated on a 1-10 scale based on hotness, which was very helpful. Overall, this was one of the best sub places in our area, and we will definitely be back!
