Friendly service, always helpful and with a smile. Good is great, quick, and fresh. Great place all around.

I'm giving the Noodles and Co in Evanston specifically a 1 star because of the service. I have been there multiple times and their food is fine. I wouldn't say it was lower quality than anywhere else. However, this time I called ahead of time to place my order as I was in a bit of a rush. When I went to pick up my order, I noticed there was a sign at the far left register specially for order pick ups that had already been placed over the phone or online. I went over to that register and was waiting when one of the employees told me in a less than pleasant tone that I had to stand in line even though I could see my order on the back counter. I understand that they were short staffed and only one register was open at the time. However, the way it was explained to me was rude. That's not all. After I got to the front of the line and finally got my order, another customer who I assume had also placed an order for pick up walks up the left hand register and says she's there to pick up an order. No one tells her to wait in line. Instead, they stop serving customers in the line, find her order and hand her the bag. She proceeds to pay and leave. She was in the exact same situation as I was. However we were treated in very different ways. This is absolutely unacceptable and extremely uncalled for. I have zero respect for a company that finds this sort of behavior acceptable among their employees.

Rude service and my chicken soup was the smallest amount of chicken soup I've ever seen. 1.5 pieces of chicken and 7 noodles. If it was not so in my face I would never have even thought to count but it was just stupid how little there was. This soup did not even fill half of the cup it was served to me in. For $5? Give me a break.. I am a dumb freak for not getting the extremely huge chicken soup from Gigio's for the same price - that one is loaded with chicken, veggies galore and more noodles than I've ever felt the need to count. Noodles and Co sucks.

The food is homey and tastes healthy, in comparison to other Noodle chains. It's not too expensive, but the "small" is pretty small. I like the mood of Noodles and Company as well. It's relaxing and chill- a perfect place for a simple lunch. I recommend adding a protein to make your meal a bit more filling. It's just okay~nothing too fancy.

Place used to be good. Was a quick reliable stop after health club or movie. Today slow dirty and crew looked bothered by being busy. What a disappointment.

I used to come here a lot and really liked the food. I still like it but I don't plan on coming as often. I'm tired of the restaurant skimping on added chicken. And no, mixing the chicken into my pasta for me doesn't fool me as to how little chicken you added to my meal

Never again. I don't know if it was because it was lunch hour or what but I waited 30minutes for our food which I have never done. Almost every table was dirty with dishes, which gave no option of where to sit. Even the outside was filthy with trash flying off the table onto the sidewalk. When our food came out I was missing my side Cesar salad. That never made it so I requested a refund was offered a cookie or treat. I wanted a refund but the guy was having difficulty working the cash register so I took the treat. This experience showed a lack of organization. I would try again but I don't have the patience to endure anything like that again. Poor guy beside us got his food and by the time he was complete they then brought out his son food.

Noodles & Co is one of my favorite chain restaurants. It's got partial waiter service, where you order at the counter, and then someone brings your food out to you, and you don't need to clear your table, but it's still super casual. As the name implies, the entrees are almost all noodle-based, although there are a couple salads, sandwiches, and soups on the menu as well. Most of their menu is static, but some of the noodle and salad dishes rotate out seasonally. I'm a big fan of the truffle mac (seasonal), which is mac and cheese with truffle salt, and the Wisconsin mac and cheese (static), which has three different cheeses. The staff here are polite and friendly, and the dining area is clean. Best of all, they always have Sriracha sauce to cover your food with! If you sign up for their mailing list or like them on Facebook, they'll periodically send you coupons for free food (usually when they're coming out with new seasonal dishes).

Really great experience. Fast service, delicious food, and overall a clean place. The Bangkok curry has a minor spicy flavor, fair warning. Definitely will be back again.

I'm not sure which was saltier, the beef stroganoff or the rude woman with the poor attitude that failed to greet me with a smile. They both were hard to chew.

I've been coming to this location for years, like 10 years. Had a different experience than I've ever had today. Usually it's the exact same. Order food, drink and a rice Krispy (always fine). We sneak the rice Krispy into the theater (shhhhhhh). So it's always the same. Today like I said was different. They were very busy, with some kind of party in the back. No big deal. Ordered food, got a glass of wine, sat outside. My cousin and sister ordered pad Thai. They both said it was horribly (yep, that word) bland and the chicken was rubbery. Well, being an adult I went up to the counter and asked if we could get more sauce and perhaps some siracha. The guy working there took the food back to the kitchen and said he'd bring it back out. They did, the food was untouched but they gave us some sauce on the side, which worked out better. It instantly made the food better, however the chicken was still rubbery. An employee who was sitting by us having a break walked in and walked back out to us with extra shrimp (she thought she overheard we were having bad shrimp) and free noodle bowl coupons. She wasn't even on the clock! So- pros- Good customer service Rice Krispy treats There was a problem- the wine glasses were filthy. Not dirty, they had been through the wash, but they were really spotty. Sorry it's a pet peeve of mine- especially since I paid $6 for a small glass. The customer service is great though!!!!

I was here on Sunday night with a BOGO coupon (from Big Bite Night!). I ordered the Japanese pan fried noodles with steak, and my friend had the Thai hot pot. Honestly, her food looked significantly better than mine - I would definitely order that next time. I don't think I'd order my noodles again, because they were a little too dry and were covered in raw bean sprouts. I like bean sprouts cooked, but I never eat the raw ones, so it was a little off-putting. Service was friendly and they were very good about clearing our items away as we finished them, and they didn't seem to mind that we sat around for about an hour after we finished. Overall, I really only go to Noodles & Co. when I have a BOGO coupon, because I just don't think that the noodles are worth the price otherwise.

Good quick place to eat. However my ONLY problem is I think the menu is too small! Other than that I cannot complain about anything else. They are not expensive and have a very convenient location. Definitely work checking out.

I want exactly expecting authentic pad thai, but the portion was very small and the carrot sticks (which comprised about 20% of the volume of the dish) were HUGE. too big to eat.and I was left with a bowl full of carrots... very disappointing. chef's tip: shred the carrots and use about 75% fewer.

This was absolutely terrible. I use to work at this place a long time ago and it was perfect. Ya we worked hard, but the place was clean, food was brought out timely and hot, and we gave great customer service. I just went here the other day with my gf and the entire experience was atrocious. We ordered a simple Penne Rosa with Parm Chicken and a Japanese Pan Noodle with Parm Chicken. I choose a booth to sit at. It looks clean to the naked eye except for a sprout, but I think "whatever." We sit down and put our hands on the table and there is just a ton of crumbs and crap we can feel. I clean the table myself off and after wards look around and notice the floor and every other table is dirty. A couple next to us leaves and a guy comes to clean the table. He picks up their dishes and a little bit of the trash, but I didn't see him wipe it down and there was still a bunch of crap left on it, and what stunned me is that people sat down at this table 2 minutes later. How can you ignore all the dirt and crap on it? Besides the fact it was super dirty I can swear that people that were after me got their food first, and finally after 15 minutes we got our food. I am thinking "if it took this long it better be amazing," but no! My Penne rosa was overcooked and somehow also some of it was cold! How can it be overcooked and partially cold?! My gf said her dish was fine, but it was also her first time here so I don't know if she knew her dish was actually bad or not, but she definitely didn't like the cleanliness of the place. I hated the entire experience so much I didn't even feel obligated to complain. I just decided let's walk out and just end my relationship without saying goodbye.

Chain as a whole - meh. Okay concept for quick lunch but for the price to portion/quality ratio, I'd probably just go to Panera for a bit more consistency and better value. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat it but would out of convenience. I usually go for the penne rosa or japanese pan noodles with chicken, haven't come here enough to bother being adventurous. This particular location is probably a tad better than the other ones I've eaten at. Sometimes there's no other quick meal near by and I'd go eat at a Noodle's & Co, and I've noticed a lot of inconsistencies at other locations nationwide, but this one is pretty dependable.

It's funny.. I had been to Noodles and Company before and.. honestly I never thought it was anything that special. I was wrong.. and when I'm wrongI say I'm wrong.. Because today my Noodles and Company dining experience could not have been any better! On this cold winters day this girl was thinking about Noodles.. Was'nt sure if I wanted soup or something else but I definitely was craving noodles! So I took the plunge and ordered this wonderful dish by the name of Penne Rosa, Penne in a spicy tomato cream sauce with mushrooms and some sort of wine.. I asked them to hold the spinach cause I hate spinach..:( I had a piece of warm crusty, ciabatta bread And.. the coke freestyle machine was there but I was really disappointed that they were out of alot of my favorite flavors.. like coke zero vanilla, and coke zero cherry! I did try diet coke with orange.. and that was pretty nasty..:( This Noodles and Company gets really busy at lunchtime but folks seem to move out pretty quickly. And.. the staff here are very courteous and they deliver your food to you at your table and then take it away when you are done. So.. for about $11.00 I had a very nice meal, everyhing was so very good! And..Noodles and Company may be a chain but.. today I paid alot of attention and I am really impressed. Noodles and Company.. I'm sorry I underestimated you.. And.. when I'm wrong I say I'm wrong.. Cant wait to come see you again..:)

Wasn't introduced to noodles and co until I came to college (don't think these exist on the West Coast), and my experience has been okay. I've ordered the Bangkok curry noodles twice, and both times, I literally had like a small handful of noodles and an overload of dry cabbage. Really? I paid good money for old vegetables? Disappointing. However, a few of their other dishes I've tried have been better, but still not amazing. I've also had a time when they brought out the wrong order. I think the one thing that makes up for the cons listed above are their cookies/rice krispies. Really good and not overly sweet!

I typically like Noodles and Co. The concept is great, but it isn't great on the wallet consider the amount of food you get. The square bowls, their catering option, is not a bad deal though. This particular Noodles and Co. is by far the worst I've been too. I've never had an Asian option prepared properly. The Japanese Pan Noodles have been overly salty both times I've had it. The Pad Thai is bearable one day, inedible the next. American noodles, especially the Buttered Noodles and Mac & Cheese, are the only dishes I've had with any consistency, though I am most partial to Pesto Cavatappi. The noodles are ok at best. The good: cookies and Rice Krispies, the Drink Machine because I love options, and decent service.

This location has been in decline for at least the last year. If you walk in after 8:30 at night, the kitchen and dining room are generally filthy. Tonight, I went in to grab some carry out for my daughter at about 8:45, and the place was such a dump that I almost walked right back out. There was food on the floor in both the kitchen and the dining room. Many of the tables were dirty with messy dishes still covering them. The kitchen was in disarray, with dirty wet cleaning cloths laying around in various locations. It was clear that the staff was more interested in closing down the restaurant than they were in making sure that the late evening guests had a clean, pleasant dining room.

I don't know why I keep coming back here. Probably because it's one of the closest restaurants that's within walking distance of where I live. It's quick and convenient. The taste however is a different story. I have tried a few of their dishes and think I've truly had enough. The penne rosa, their SORRY excuse for mac and cheese and their pad thai. Their mac and cheese consists of overcooked elbows tossed in watery sauce topped with dollar store cheese. The penne rosa is okay. I couldn't finish the pad thai. But hey, this place is always packed so maybe you'll enjoy this place more than I will.

Noodles is the place that I always take for granted. I think it's because they don't have anything 'out of this world' unique, but everytime I do end up going, I always wonder why I don't come here more often. Lots of choices, but I generally go for the pesto cavatappi with chicken, japanese pan noodles with beef, or buttered noodles with shrimp. Don't forget to save room for their rice krispies! They're quite addicting.

Yummy! I come to Noodles lot after getting off the Metra after a long day in the city or out of town. They also have lots of BOGO deals here, which is always good because sometimes one bowl just isn't enough. My favorite is probably the penne rosa - slightly spicy and oh so tasty. The Japanese Udon is also great - just the perfect blend of chewy noodles and crunchy vegetables. The Indonesian peanut saute was just okay. The truffle mac n cheese, however, was a bore. Not tasty at all. Guess it all depends on what you get.

Ah noodles. I love you, you are the best backup option ever. So I eat the Mediterranean noodles here mostly, but this time I went with my mum and we had the Thai peanut spicy noodles, with chicken. It was amazing, especially cos I love sprouts. The pot stickers were amazing too, always get the larger portion! This place looks out onto a relatively busy street, of course there was no people watching for that day since it was winter. But its fun in the summer. Place looks like all other Noodles and Co, diner-y and clean.

This is a solid little place that I will return to. Popped in here last week before I schlepped up to the Great White North (a.k.a. my dentist in the northern suburbs) on Metra (the way to really fly). I had a bowl of tomato basil soup, the small bowl, and it was giant! The soup itself was really delicious. Really delicious. In fact, I want to go get a gallon to be snowbound with in the upcoming Arctic storm. Sit in a giant tub of that tomato basil soup, nom nom nom. Wait, that's gross 'cos my butt would be in the soup. But wow, it was really, really good soup. Pair it with a glass of water, there's your delicious budget lunch. Yum. Yes, this place is a chain, but it's really well done, clean and efficient. And there was an adorable little boy at the table next to me enjoying the hell out of his broccoli and buttered noodles. That was really sweet and amusing. So, good for kids, yes.

I got the bangkok curry and it was pretty good. Wasn't the greatest thing ever but it was decent. As a sawce boss, I feel like it coulda had a littttttle bit more sawce on it to make it a bit more rich and flavorful. Also, I totally wanted to get the bbq pork mac n cheese but I ate ice cream for lunch so that woulda been the worst idea.. But yeah I'd come back someday to try some of the other dishes on the menu cuz my friends' noodles all looked good too.

Do you need carbohydrates in a sort of non-specific way? Do you want your carbonated sugar water in a variety of flavors? Are you worried that America's trendy new food concept franchises aren't getting enough support? If so, this is the place for you. For everyone else, just about any actual Italian or Thai place -- including some just blocks from this place, serve up better food cheaper and fresher than this place. The curry I had was blah bland, and served over chopped cabbage heart chunks to make it look like there was more food than there really was. Unless you like eating raw cabbage. Like, if you hate the person or people who share a bed with you. The digital soda machine was pretty neat, though.

I used to come here all the time for the chicken and pesto cavatappi, until they discontinued their student discount. The service is pretty solid, and I've had few to no issues with their consistency. Just don't come here during movie nights, it's insanely busy.

First time I been. Indonesian noodle caught my eye because it carrots and broccoli. I had this vision of veggies all over the plate but they were sparse. There was however a ton of bean sprouts. Noodles were a little rubbery. Price was right, 5.25 for a large bowl I'll be back to try something else

5 stars. *singing* Don't you wanna go...where everybody knows your name... and they're always glad you came? Emphatically, "YES"! I went to Noodles & Company for the first time the other day. I couldn't decide between the Truffle Mac and the Stroganoff. So, I asked the cashier (Joe) to choose for me. He did - and the Truffle Mac was delicious. But, when Joe brought me my food, he also brought me a little gift card for a comp Stroganoff! How sweet is that? Well, a couple of days later... I decide that I'm gonna try out the Stroganoff. I waltz up to the counter and Joe says, "Welcome back, Plenty!" Who does that anymore? I'll tell you who - NOBODY! By the grace of God, I was able to dig up his name, too! Miracle at 930 Church Street... Went back again just a few days ago, and Joe was there - still happy - still helpful. Everyone who works there seems to really enjoy the job AND each other. While I was ordering, one of the employees came in for his shift after being on vacay for a week... I've never seen a group of folks so happy to see each other! It's amazing. Someone is really working hard at creating a magnificent culture over there. I enjoyed my wheat Tuscan noodles and Parmesean-crusted chicken from this visit, too. Actually - this one was the best so far!!! Incredible flavor! And, the rice krispy treat was amazingly soft - such a great late afternoon snack. Even though I'm a simple-carb-a-phob... I'm gonna be a customer for life! See ya next time, Joe!

I pretty much love this place. A chain of eateries devoted to my favorite food? Being able to customize said noodles to my liking? Quick service regardless of dine in or take out combined with a 1 minute walk from my house? Love love love! Basically I usually end up here when I am too lazy to cook at home or venture too far to eat out and want to avoid a 60 dollar dinner check. Usually order 2 smalls, pot stickers, and sometimes soup or salad. Recently I have been loving the Whole Grain Tuscan Linguine (with tofu, extra broccoli, extra mushrooms - I love how I can do this, you can also swap around the type of noodle too), but I sometimes throw the Buttered Noodles, Pad Thai, Indonesian Peanut Saute, and Pesto Cavatappi in the mix. I've tried everything on the menu and the only thing I'm not a fan of is the Mushroom Stroganoff (not because it doesn't taste good, but it pales in comparison to the Beef Stroganoff from Lucky Platter). Soups, salad, and delicious chicken pot stickers then if you have room, an enormous sweet and sticky rice crispy treat. Friendly staff, all the fountain drinks/China Mist tea (mmm!) in big plastic cups you can handle. Definitely one of my favorite quick-serve places in town. I probably wouldn't like eating here on a weekend evening, when it turns into a zoo filled with Evanston high school kids and NU eggheads (don't hate, I used to be one too), in which case I just call for pick up.

This place is awesome! Great selection and great prices. This place features different noodle dishes from various parts of the world- Asian, Mediterranean, and American. Asian dishes include curry noodles, japanese noodles, and pad thai. Mediterranean dishes are mostly pasta. American dishes include mac and cheese, spaghetti, and chicken noodle soup. Salads are also available. This is a great place to go to eat when you have a group of people with different tastes. My bf and I frequently eat here because he likes american food whereas I like asian food. It is hard for us to find a place to eat that we both like. I love to order the Japanese Pan Noodle and he likes to order the Mac and Cheese. They are both very delicious. Nice staff and lots of nice seating. Highly recommend :)

I eat here a lot because its quick and close to my job. The service is always great, I've never had a rude cashier or server before. The staff changes pretty frequently because it is a training location for all of their Chicagoland locations so don't get too attached to anyone :) I like that you can customize the dishes to your liking and if you try something new and don't like it, they will make you something else. If you are worried about things like eating vegan, low fat, low calorie, etc. look at their nutrition guide on their website. They have suggestions for almost every dietary restriction or diet. Personally, I get the Penne Rosa with no cream or cheese. Vegan and DELICIOUS.

Sloooooooooow. I had 10 minutes to get a soup to go before the bus came. I ordered, sat down, and waited. And waited. Totally missed my bus for the soup that was sort of like a decent can of chicken noodle soup that I could have bought for less in the store and had faster. Oh well.

5 stars for convenience (it's downstairs from where I work.) 4 stars for taste 3 stars for price For me, you can't beat the easiness of this place. We have a drawer full of menus so I pick up the Noodles & Co one, pick out what I want, and phone it in. By the time I grab my credit card, clock out, and go downstairs to pick it up, the food is ready. As far as taste goes, it's pretty darn good. Usually I get the pad thai at the location in Geneva, which I have always enjoyed. For the first time this past week, I decided to branch out and try the pasta fresca (or whatever it's called). It was really good. Penne pasta, olive oil, white wine (I think), garlic, spinach, onions, your choice of feta or parmesan, and tomatoes...well, two halves of a tomato. My only complaint (besides the lack of tomatoes) is that there was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the container. It didn't taste too oily, but it was pooling at the bottom. Granted, it's an olive oil based dish, but still...a teaspoon or two less would have been perfect. Price: decent. The meals come in two sizes, and I wasn't starving so I opted for a small for $3.95...two dollars less than the regular (I think). If you want meat, it's an additional 2 dollars. The best deal is their trio option, which is a small entree, a side salad or soup, and your choice of protein for $7.95 (I think). Pretty comparable to the prices of other places in the area. For the amount of food you get in a small, it's not the best deal, but the food tastes good so every once in awhile I don't feel bad paying for it. As I was eating it, I realized for $4 I could make the same thing but enough food to feed me for a 4 meals, but I chose to look past that.

I know I'm a sell-out for liking this place, but man, I love the Penne Rosa with the chicken. When you get it with a tomato soup, wow. It's just enough to fill you up but not too much to make you feel like you've eaten a whole cow. . .or a green alien (sorry, been watching a lot of X-Files). I'm a professional violinist and remember going there after a particularly bad performance on a really cold day in February. It was just what the doctor ordered. Just grabbed a seat facing the window, watched to world go by with a bowl of pasta, a small tomato soup and a piece of bread. A perfect way to end a crappy evening. The food does seem a bit engineered, but man, good stuff.

It's like Chipotle, only you're customizing soups, salads and noodles. You first select the type and size of your order, then the actual entree, then the protein (chicken, beef, tofu or shrimp), plus optional cheese and/or veggies for extra $. It comes with a side salad, too. I'm not a fan of this place, but the food isn't terribly bad. The Japanese pan noodles (yaki udon) wasn't the best choice, though...mine was clearly overcooked. The mushroom stroganoff was nice and creamy. I see many people ordering mac & cheese, so perhaps that will be my next order. Convenient, clean and orderly. Not bad!

If your looking for something in your price range Noodles and Co. should be one of your options. It's not a five star restuarants and some locations are better than others but I love Evanston and this location for this resturant could not be better. I love several different items: pesto cavatapi w/ tofu- yes it sounds WEIRD but you MUST try it because I got people hooked on it , penne rosa with parmesan chicken, potstickers, and their tomatot basil soup is pretty good if your not too hungry. I felt that the food was always quickly brought out and I was for the most part always satified with the preparation or my meal. I wuv you noodles & company!

Pretty good noodles and co location. The menu here is great with so many options. I love how you can choose your own protein to add on. They have American, mediterranean, or asian options. I love the med salad, pesto cavatappi, and pasta fresca. The japanese pan noodles are also good. I have had some issues recently. Last time I got a to go order, my salad did not have chicken on it. When I got home I called them because I was kind of upset. The salad is pretty light with no meat, so I ended up having to get something else to have for dinner. THe guy on the phone was pretty nice and said he would write my info down in a book for free pasta next time. I had another incident when they didn't put the olives on my salad also. Always a great option though for a quick meal.

Ooo cheesy sauce. I get the Wisconsin Macaroni and Cheese whenever I go to Noodles and Company. The cheese sauce at the Evanston location is much thicker than the Skokie location. I don't know if the reason behind it is the time of day or the location. I just know that the kitchen staff could have fixed it before it was delivered to me. I think the staff is friendly and puts up with a lot of college students and roudy kids at this location. I have tried the other items and they are all reliable. However, for those who want butter noodles, go home.

3.5 Stars When Noodles & Co. opened in my town of Vienna, VA I avoided it like the plague. I'm anti-chain food plus my sister loves it. She's not bright at all, and her palate isn't refined ("OMG. Ruby Tuesday's!"). I'll give her some credit on Noodles & Co. though. It's a good alternative to fast food. The prices are moderate and there's plenty of vegetarian items. In fact, all of their noodle dishes are meat-free. Organic tofu is available for an extra cost. Their "Get in Touch With Your Moodle" .. um, Moodle Meter is such a gimmick. If you're indecisive, put your hand on the Meter and the color will change according to your mood. Each color suggests a type of noodle dish. A waste of money for the props if you ask me! However, their Moodle Rings are available for purchase and 50 cents of the proceeds goes to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Neat. The food isn't spectacular, but you seriously can not go wrong here. It's healthier than a burger joint, and not as time-consuming or expensive as a traditional sit-down restaurant. Noodles & Co. is great for kids... not that I'm fond of kids in public though.

I enjoy Noodles & Co. from time to time. I especially enjoy when they send me Noodlegrams! You have to sign up on their website and give a bit of personal information (the usual price for free stuff), but then they'll send you occasional couples for free bowls of noodles. You can use them for the combination, which is my fave (mac and cheese for a comfort feel or pasta fresca if I want vegetables, chicken or shrimp depending on my mood, and tossed green salad). This particular location is similar to any chain I've been to, with the casual, clean, and warm atmosphere. *edit: If you are an NU student, you NO LONGER get a wildcard discount off of your bill.

I really miss their old menu! I used to like this place a lot and introduced some of my friends to it. But then they changed their menu and their taste went down and I don't like going here anymore. Like yeah variety is good, but sometimes I wish places would stick to doing what they do best. Their pastas are under-cooked and have very little sauce, and their Asian dishes (I've lived in Singapore so trust me) are bad! The Japanese noodles are sweet, the Bangkok curry isn't even spicey and their Pad Thai gave me a stomach ache!! The Med Salad hardly has any dressing on it and is one of the worst salads I've ever ever eaten!! And it's usually filled with loud high school kids!! The only cool thing about Noodles & Co -- their website -- check it out for fun! If you're not convinced and are checking this place out for yourself, and if you're at Northwestern, don't forget your Wildcard discount/free ricecake.

I'm currently sitting in this Noodles and Co, and while I'm more than a little disappointed they dont have any sort of wifi (I'm using my cell phone as a modem) I've found it quite relaxing and a comfortable place to study away from the masses. Also, they again screwed up my order, by completely forgetting it even existed. Despite it just being a bowl of pre-warmed soup. They comped me a roll, but seriously, I've been here 3 or 4 times and have had to be comped twice. What gives? It's a little disappointing that I'm starting to get a bit of a stinkeye from the employees for being the last customer from the late-lunch run (a little over 2 hours now) but at least they've been accommodating of letting me stay.

First of all, not to sound like a total culinary bitch, but this place is listed as fusion. Really? Really? No, but...really? Anyway, the food is pretty decent. The pesto cavatappi is delicious (but barely fills the plate for $7...), and so is the penne rosa (I think that's the name). Also, their Chinese chopped salad was way better than I thought it'd be. Same with the curry soup, but it's reaaaally messy. The service could be better. The people at the counter always want to hurry you and are fairly curt. Even though the customer is always right supposedly, I asked for chicken in one dish but the dish was brought without it. The busboy/intermediary server brought out the dish without chicken. I said I ordered it with chicken and he said he'd check with the cashier. Um, okay... I didn't want to fight it even though she said I didn't...Weird. Not the best place, pretty average, but some of the dishes are good. PS...I have no idea why I was so intent on adding chicken. It is kind of gross and looks like what you'd get in a cafeteria.

This place used to be great when it opened a few years ago. The service has become lax. They are slow with clearing the dishes, and the food just isn't as good. Portions have gotten smaller and is inconsistent. Sometimes it's great...sometimes, not so great. Very hit or miss.

Pretty good food, but the prices are a 'lil high, its on the Open fountain drink is hard to find in this area (Downtown Evanston). For your money, you'll leave full. Though, it's not the place to come if you've got an empty stomach and a big appetite because you'll bust your wallet wide open. Clean, well lit, nice atmosphere, definitely on my list of stops for food.

When I'm in the mood for a fast meal, without the grease of your standard fast food places, I hit up Noodles & Company. The Indonesian Peanut Sautee is my favorite. Add some grilled chicken and even the "small" portion is very filling. I especially like that they give out very large cups for water when you ask.

yes Noodles and CO is a great place for a lunch before a movie at the Century Theaters !

This place used to be one of my favorites. Then they started changing the menus and the quality of their ingredients. It used to be a great value, awesome food for a very small price. Now you get what you pay for. I suppose this happens to all restaurants as they begin to franchise... this sacrifice of quality for repeatable and cheap dining experiences. I only wish I had stumbled upon it after the shift, so I'd never know how great it could have been. The mac & cheese is pretty good.

Whenever I make my way to Evanston (or any of the suburbs) it's an event. And I typically hit up a movie at the theater and then get me some glorious food at Noodles & Company after some shopping. I love the vegetarian options Noodles & Co offers and all of the Mediterranean dishes. It's cheap, it's good, and the portions are perfect (so that I have neither a food baby or am still hungry). Always satisfied with the food and the service. Highly recommended.

I used to work here a long time ago but I always enjoyed the food. I recommend the pesto capatavi, pad Thai and mushroom strogonoff. However beware that none of these entrees come with meat and you have to add it in. They have come a long way since 2002 when they 1st opened at this location thou.

Simple, no frills noodles. My co-worker brought me back a sample of their Penne Rosa & it was delicious. I normally am not a fan of cooked tomatoes, but these were so flavorful, they ended up being the best part of the dish. Also, she brought me a giant Rice Krispie treat that looked like a foot. I've already eaten half of it. ::guilty as charged::

We went because they were giving a portion of what we spent to the local animal shelter, so they get points for being willing to help out a local cause. It was more okay than A-OK. Maybe two and three-quarters stars if I could give such a ranking. I had the Bangkok curry with shrimp. For my $8.25 (including tax) could I have had more, and more authentic Thai food, at several other places in Evanston? Yes. But it was okay. Even tasty, in a sweetish, oily, not-spicy kind of way, with a good amount of color and vegetable matter. What I very much liked is that they post their nutritional info online. So while I noticed I wasn't getting a heaping helping of noodles or tons of big, plump juicy shrimp, I also knew I was only into it for 500 calories or so (plus protein). It's not a bad place to meet for a super-casual lunch. Fountain drinks are self-serve and they have two kinds of iced tea: one vaguely fruity one with passionfruit flavor, one black. Plus they have bottled selections that include beer and wine. I'm not dying to return, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

Food and service were great. Large portions and very affordable. I wouldn't recommend this place to any loud talkers or to those who like their space. The tables are very close together, and you will hear one another's conversations...so put on your PG hat when you walk in.

Noodles & Co. is my go to quick meal. It beats fast food any day of the week and there is enough on the menu to keep me coming back (although I must admit, the Macaroni and Cheese and Buttered Noodles are staples in my diet) The prices are reasonable and it provides a great option for keeping the "dinner and movie" date (right around the corner from the Century theaters) relatively inexpensive since movies will cost you $10/person!

I guess I'm heartened by the other poster who said they are now offering smaller plates. Dang the portions are just huge here, but I imagine the profit margin is even larger. Pasta is one of the cheapest foods on the face of the planet. That aside, they do a good pasta here. I get a little hinky on these chain pasta joints because sometimes everything tastes alike. So choose wisely. Also, don't add meat. I don't like the quality of meat they use here, and the vegetarian versions of all the dishes are always acceptable. For a quick and filling lunch, you won't go wrong here, just don't expect to be amazed.

The place is a chain and nothing too special, but I still enjoy it from time to time. Usually we'll end up here if I'm meeting my suburb dweller sister for a movie and we want something quick beforehand. They have a new (or new to me) thing called the trio where you can get a small noodle item or soup, meat or tofu, and a side salad. I got the pasta marinara which was good, but like I said before nothing too out of the ordinary. I also wish they had a bigger selection of food.

Okay, 3 and 1/2. Though using words like "pond scum" to describe anything one is considering eating, will probably kill more appetites than it will stimulate... I do understand where J.B. is coming from. As midwesterner transplanted to NYU in NYC - I cut my pesto teeth on the fabulous stuff they sold at the now defunct Balducci's - and in my book, there was no such thing as too much pesto sauce on your pasta. I thought the ratio SHOULD be 3 to 1 - sauce to noodle... I used to try to bring a couple of POUNDS of the stuff home with me on breaks - but no amount of wrapping would keep the luscious and precious oily green mess (liquid emeralds?) from leaking all over my carry-on luggage (and my homework - well - it was original compared to the old spilled coffee excuse...)

Good place for a quick bite. Always go for the Penne Rosa with parm. Two stars because the manager and people behind the register are rude as all heck. Everyone else seemed humble. I tried to make the order easy for her when I was ordering," One Penne Rosa With Parmesean crusted Chicken and one without the chicken". Hard? she made me repat the order 3 times and for some reason it only came out to ONE Penne Rosa order. She then gave me attitude, rolled her eyes and said " well you should've said you wanted two". I kept my cool, how much more simple can I get? I waited as I watched that night as I came in for a pickup order as the manager was "cleaning " up the beverage center. She drops the towel on the floor, this is winter time might I add with slush dried up salt patches everywhere on the rugs and floor, and picks it back and resumes her "cleaning" process. I was in awe. Really? Manager? In front of customers? GROSS. I'll travel the distance and go to another Noodles & Co.

I like this place because it's close to where I work, it's cheap, and it's reliable. I pretty much order the same thing every time I go in: macaroni and cheese and a cucumber tomato side salad. i've never been disappointed. the pad thai and tomato bisque are also good. get a piece of the flatbread on the side if you'd like some more carbs to go with your carbs. finish it off with a snickerdoodle cookie or jumbo sized "crisped rice" (hint: snap, crackle, pop) treat.

when i want to 'feel' like i have gone OUT to eat this is where i go and i like the trip ! i hop the red El line and then the purple line up to evanston and there they are just a short walk from the Davis El stop ! love the food here and even if they are crowded i always get a good seat service is fast and that's good too ! so close to the shopping and movie theaters there i can make an afternoon and evening of the trip just for fun ! and a nice get away

The definition of a Yelp 3-star establishment. Good but not great in every way. Feels chainy, (which it is) - portions are decent, you leave full but not stuffed. Good variety for vegetarians and meat eaters but beware, the "small" portion is indeed SMALL.

I went here for lunch today and thought that it was pretty tasty, for fast food noodles. I got the pad Thai and it was comparable to other cheap pad Thai that I've had. I would go back again and try another dish (or get the pad Thai again if I'm not feeling adventurous). I did like the fact that it was so close to the movie theater...and it was fast.

Hmmm...I really wouldn't call this Asian fusion, so much as using different types of noodles in a variety of dishes. Don't go here expecting authentic Asian food. On the plus side, it's fast and cheap - I like the mushroom stroganoff, and the soups are tasty. You order and pay before you sit down at a table. A server will bring you your dishes - I think within 5-10 minutes. I won't be going back, but it's worth a try if you live nearby (definitely don't go out of your way to eat here).

The thing about Noodles & Co. is that they are apparently anti-Chicago. Which is just incredibly upsetting because their mac 'n cheese is my most favorite mac n' cheese in the world. It is one of the many reasons I wish I could back to college (Northwestern = in Evanston = easy access to Noodles & Co). So just whatever, Noodles. Be too cool for Lincoln Park. Deprive me of your cheesy goodness and your incredible rice krispie treats. It's fine. Seriously. Totalllllllllllly cool.

I've visited this location many times and the food is always good (why else would I return) and the service is always good as well. Today I went in and I ordered their new springtime pasta dish with asparagus. It has mushrooms which I don't eat so like always I asked for it without them. Today was different though. The woman that was taking my order offered me something to replace the mushrooms which no one had ever done before!. I asked for more asparagus! Then she asked me if I wanted wheat or plain noodles. I suppose if I had ever really paid attention to the menu I might already know that this is an option but I didn't and it was really nice to be offered because I prefer wheat noodles. After ordering chicken in my pasta I asked the woman how the tofu they offer is. She told me that it's seasoned and really good. As I was handing her my money, I told her that I will have to try it next time I come in because usually prefer tofu. As I was waiting for my food to be delivered to my table, the same lady stopped by and told me that she was having a side of tofu dropped off with my order so I could try it. I thanked her and asked for her name. It is Lisa. I would have already returned to this location for the food alone, but certainly not as often as I will from now on. Not because the tofu was delicious (which it was)! But because people like Lisa are hard to come by in any industry these days. So thanks again Lisa and I hope to see you next time I stop in!

It's Pan-Chain-Asian at its finest- bland, but better than fast food and the picky kids can get mac & cheese. The potstickers aren't bad, but the Indonesian peanut dish I had suffered from ill-handled ingredients and was practically snoring from lack of flavor. Heck- it's not staffed by cooks or anyone with knowledge of Asian food, so you can't expect much.

One of many noodle chains, but I do like the fare here. Apparently they have small portions for all the dishes now, and frankly I like that a lot better, as the plates they used to give you were just enormous, too big to eat in one sitting. The Evanston location has been prompt every time I've been there - including tonight when there were about 20 of us. Salads and bread are yummy too - especially the bread!

mac & cheese is really good. they put in a lot of cheese at this location then some other locations. it really yummy though. it is a bit overpriced though.

Sorry to say, I had a shrimp dish here and got food poisoning (the stomach flu doesn't come on that fast and go away just as quickly). Too bad because it was tasty, but as you can imagine, I'll never go back.

I deteste Noodle & Co's suburban-bland feel and its ability to hold such a strong customer base with such unoriginal, overpriced food like "alfredo pasta" or "macaroni." Or maybe I admire it.

I love the food here. But alas, they like to skimp on the steak and shrimp. Sometimes I'll order both steak and shrimp in my noodles, thinking that I'm going to get twice the amount of meat I'd normally get, but instead they give me four pieces of shrimp and four pieces of steak -- at twice the normal price. Hence the deduction of one star. I'd definitely recommend you go to this restaurant often alone and take a friend there occasionally too.

Adequate food. Use this place if you need to get some work done while eating; not too crowded and lots of seating with large windows. You'll feel comfortable taking up hours of table space, and they won't kick you out. Order at the cash register, and they bring the food to your table when it's ready. Oddly expensive by the time you add extra meat and vegetables. Ordered pad thai (mediocre flavor) and the noodles were on the undercooked side. Lots of chicken. Excellent braised beef. Also added broccoli and got five small pieces (cheap!). This was on the small plate. Next time I'll order a regular sized plate and maybe the add-ons will be larger too.

(1)Lois A.
(1)Grace H.
(3)Rodger A.
Place used to be good. Was a quick reliable stop after health club or movie. Today slow dirty and crew looked bothered by being busy. What a disappointment.
(2)Jim H.
I used to come here a lot and really liked the food. I still like it but I don't plan on coming as often. I'm tired of the restaurant skimping on added chicken. And no, mixing the chicken into my pasta for me doesn't fool me as to how little chicken you added to my meal
(3)Latasha G.
(1)Liza P.

(4)Sharon C.
(3)Kim A.
The workers are so nice. The staff and location are excellent. No one rolled eyes at me when I asked for it not spicy so that's a win for me :)
(5)Marcus T.
Good quick place to eat. However my ONLY problem is I think the menu is too small! Other than that I cannot complain about anything else. They are not expensive and have a very convenient location. Definitely work checking out.
(3)Jason G.
(2)Spencer S.

(3)Leo S.
(2)Dru H.
(1)Ashley S.
(2)Joan A.
(4)Lily Z.
Penne rosa and truffle mac are very tasty. Truffle mac has been discontinued. I am now disappoint
(4)Rowena L.
(4)Rits M.

(5)Katie T.
(4)Evelyn S.
Pretty decent fare for a chain restaurant. Had the Asian Chicken salad - pretty good. My cousin got the truffle mac and cheese. All pretty good but not spectacular.
(3)Rachel L.
Sloooooooooow. I had 10 minutes to get a soup to go before the bus came. I ordered, sat down, and waited. And waited. Totally missed my bus for the soup that was sort of like a decent can of chicken noodle soup that I could have bought for less in the store and had faster. Oh well.
(2)Kate S.
(4)Matthew C.
(4)Carlos T.
My #1 restaurant i come here so much they know my name and order before i get through the door excellent food, service, and variety
(5)Keiko S.
Not bad!
(3)Jessica V.
(3)Allison S.
(3)Kristina K.
(3)Jade T.
(4)Jackie G.
(3)Shradha A.
(3)Sandeep P.
(3)Melissa F.
(2)Jennifer P.
This place used to be great when it opened a few years ago. The service has become lax. They are slow with clearing the dishes, and the food just isn't as good. Portions have gotten smaller and is inconsistent. Sometimes it's great...sometimes, not so great. Very hit or miss.
(2)D J.
(4)Carolyn G.
(5)Tom M.
yes Noodles and CO is a great place for a lunch before a movie at the Century Theaters !
(4)Steve G.
(2)Carri A.
(5)M R.
Very nice customer service and good food. Servings are small, however.
(4)Elizabeth D.
I used to work here a long time ago but I always enjoyed the food. I recommend the pesto capatavi, pad Thai and mushroom strogonoff. However beware that none of these entrees come with meat and you have to add it in. They have come a long way since 2002 when they 1st opened at this location thou.
(3)Niki C.
(3)ann s.
(3)Matt S.
Food and service were great. Large portions and very affordable. I wouldn't recommend this place to any loud talkers or to those who like their space. The tables are very close together, and you will hear one another's conversations...so put on your PG hat when you walk in.
(4)Matt G.
(4)Kristen W.
(3)Rachel H.
(3)Jesster A.
(3)Ngoc H.
(2)Maggie R.
(4)jeverr w.
when i want to 'feel' like i have gone OUT to eat this is where i go and i like the trip ! i hop the red El line and then the purple line up to evanston and there they are just a short walk from the Davis El stop ! love the food here and even if they are crowded i always get a good seat service is fast and that's good too ! so close to the shopping and movie theaters there i can make an afternoon and evening of the trip just for fun ! and a nice get away
(5)Adam S.
The definition of a Yelp 3-star establishment. Good but not great in every way. Feels chainy, (which it is) - portions are decent, you leave full but not stuffed. Good variety for vegetarians and meat eaters but beware, the "small" portion is indeed SMALL.
(3)Mara S.
(3)Anna H.
(2)Marissa D.
(4)Adam A.
(5)Melissa M.
(2)Drennen M.
(4)Maya P.
mac & cheese is really good. they put in a lot of cheese at this location then some other locations. it really yummy though. it is a bit overpriced though.
(5)E V.
Sorry to say, I had a shrimp dish here and got food poisoning (the stomach flu doesn't come on that fast and go away just as quickly). Too bad because it was tasty, but as you can imagine, I'll never go back.
(1)Jaclyn C.
I deteste Noodle & Co's suburban-bland feel and its ability to hold such a strong customer base with such unoriginal, overpriced food like "alfredo pasta" or "macaroni." Or maybe I admire it.
(1)Ramon R.
(4)A P.
(3)
