This DD is conveniently located at the CTA Davis Purple Line station. The bus that I was waiting for wasn't coming for another twenty-five (25) minutes. Although I knew the surroundings very well, I didn't want to go far to a local coffee shop. Therefore, the existence of DD fulfilled my need for snacking. If you need a quick coffee or something to refuel your blood sugar level, this is just FYI.

There's nothing I hate more (in the world of coffee at least) than ordering iced coffee and getting a cup of ice which is subsequently filled with regular coffee. The result is a disgusting watered down excuse of a drink for which I'm angry to have shelled out $2 and can't decide whether to throw it out because it sucks or drink it so as not to waste my money. Extra star for being right in the metro station ie convenience factor, but right now I'm just a sad girl who's late for her flight and only a watery iced coffee to console her.

I've come here at least a couple different occassions to get sandwiches and the occassional donut, but their problem is that they tend to be very slow. Slow as in one person working and taking orders instead of having at least two people working. I've gone to different Dunkin Donut locations and the service was a little more efficient, but at least this location wasnt being run by Indians since they seem to be the majority of owners of a dunkin donuts franchise. The only problem is that they tend to run out of specific items that are popular like plain donuts, croussants, and other pastry items. They're also clean since they're located inside the CTA Davis Street purple line station so they're on it about cleanliness since CTA doesnt play around with concession stands being dirty. Giving its location it's accessible by foot or you can park down and across the street and walk over to Dunkin Donuts.

I get it, it's a chain DDs. But come on the people working here are the grumpiest people ever! Plus I asked for an iced coffee.. they almost handed me a hot coffee.. then put it in a iced coffee cup and poured ice that melted really quickly.. now im sitting here drinking a room temp coffee.. on a scale of a 1 to 10.. this gets a Jurassic Park 3..

Stopped by here on my way home and ordered a medium coffee with cream. What I got was a cup of hot water with cream. Gross. Unfortunately I was already on the train by the time I noticed so I just threw it away. Waste of money. This is why I never go to Dunkin Donuts.

My experience here has been completely fine. Should be a healthy 3.5 on yelp in my book. I never felt the need to get anything here before until this year, where I have been stopping by occasionally before work for a bite if I have time. Recently, I was also desperate for caffeine while waiting for my bus, so I caved and got a regular coffee. I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted SO much better than the burnt bittersour coffee served on campus. Granted, I go around 1-3pm, so I can't speak for the wait around rush hour... The service I've received in the afternoon has always been polite and quick. I am in and out in 2 minutes. There's never more than one person in front of me in line when I go though. Nothing is wrong with this location as far as I've seen. In fact, if I weren't conveniently waiting for the bus inside the station, I'd probably still be willing to stop by here when I'm nearby downtown for a donut and a coffee.

3 stars. I ended up riding the 'el' last week and ran smack-dab into this place on my way out of the station. I was starving, so I ordered the grilled cheese on texas toast. Who knew they served grilled cheese?? Not me! BEST DECISION EVER! This was probably one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever eaten. That's saying alot, because I think I was a mouse in a previous life - I LOVE CHEESE. I'm a cheese snob, and I still liked the sandwich with it fake American cheese gooeyness. Service left much to be desired. The wait was ridiculous. It was like 5 of us all standing there trying not to be in each other's way. It kinda has the New York Starbucks vibe - you had better know EXACTLY what you want and say it, succinctly; or else! Coffee was unremarkable. I came to the office and doctored on it for a bit and it was fine. Good hygiene and cleanliness was observed and greatly appreciated. Gosh, that sandwich was good!

The attendants here always seem like they DGAF. I've only come here when I'm in need of a really quick bite to eat while trying to catch the El. My transactions always last longer than expected/need be. "I want a French Cruller and small coffee" -- this should take about 1 minute total for me to order, pay, and receive my order, but somehow it lasts as long as 4-5 minutes, even when I'm the only patron in line.

I inevitably end up stopping here almost every time I use the Metra or the El, because it's located right next to the turnstyles and I can't physically resist the allure of hot pink frosted donuts. Damn. I don't typically travel during rush hour, so I'm usually the only person in line and receive my sugary goods promptly. Nothing special - just a donut and some iced coffee.
