I used to come in here all the time for lunch when I worked down the street. This is some good ol' country home cookin'!!! Mr. B's: home of the best hot ham and cheese in the USA. The homemade chili is awesome too. You'll definitely leave full. Plenty of parking for truck drivers who want to stop in for lunch. The owner Mr. B is one of the coolest guys ever. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice little place. Stopped in after work for a bowl of chili to warm up. Had such delicious chili that I decided to stay for dinner, much to the chagrin of my family. Great home cooked feel and taste.

I have been past this place sooo many times, and just never got around to stopping in. They have a pretty good sized bar area, and a big restaurant section. It looks a little awkward from the outside, but really is nice friendly service on the inside. The drink and food prices are pretty decent. I had a pork chop sandwich, which was a special that day. It was excellent! Didn't even need any condiments! This place is worth checking out, and it looks like there is plenty of room for a group of friends at the bar too.

Here is the scene I am working for a corporate sponsor at the local raceway, none of the onsite food vendors were open so I head out into the great beyond to find a fabled subway. I am pulling out of the raceway truly confused on where I am headed and like a mirage sits Mr B's, on the sign it says carryout. I immediately u-turn and call my onsite co-worker to consult her before I take us headlong into un-scouted dive bar food; she is game! I walk in the door and there is the overwhelming aroma of stale smoke and grandmas house(how long ago was it legal to smoke in bars). The decor is a cross between garage sale, basement, frat house, and dumpster with a glimpse of class, ok not really the class, still in a class of its own! To put the decor and atmosphere in perspective; I used the bathroom the urinals had "Hanoi Jane" targets inside them, clearly the owner at least during NAM was not a fan of Jane Fonda and her escapades of decades ago. Guess what? Those are some good urinals cuz they have held up all this time even with the wartime targets... I am starving! In anticipation of a carryout wait I order a cup of chili. She brings it over with a side of cheese and a side of raw onion, neither of which I asked for, both of which I wanted (I think the Bar tender was clairvoyant). This chili was at first just like moms lots of big beans and chunky tomatoes and beef oh so much beef, was mom in the kitchen was she keeping this from me? Wait this is not Mom's chili and please Mom forgive me! This chili was better-wait we will say different "wink wink" it had slices of jalapeno and a serious after-kick! Kick me some more I love it! Are you ready for this? This may be the best chili I have ever had, and I have had some serious chili! Did I mention it was a two dollar cup! Yeah that is what I am talking about! Lunch She had a grilled chicken sandwich, I had a half pound burger with swiss and grilled mushrooms. She said her grilled chicken was delicious, it looked juicy and thick, alas no sample for lil ol me! The burger was really good it was like my buddy had just made it on the grill, irregularly shaped, huge and juicy, with awkward tomatoes, lettuce and onion. Seriously was I at a friendly BBQ or a bar? The weakest point was the fries but they were still good, I am kinda a fry snob, no need to avoid-just put them on the burger, dip them in a mish-mosh of ketchup and mayo, it will all be ok, all else fails head back for more chili I know I will! Charm Class Chili AWESOME! Happiness is Mr B's Chili!

CLOSED!!! For sale!!!! Mr. B's was handy because of its proximity to the racetrack. Unfortunately, I was by Mr. B's on June 5 (2015) and the business was closed. There's a big "For Sale" sign on the property. From all appearances, the business is closed and the property is for sale. I rated them based on my past experiences, there. Unfortunately, ratings no longer matter. RIP, Mr. B's.
