Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Excellent pizza, great service. Definitely the best pizza in the area. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Haven't tried the other food they sell but I'm sure it's awesome too.

Our office probably orders from there twice a month. Pizza is great, beef is great and sandwiches are great, but we normally end up with salads. The salads are huge, and so worth the money. The chicken is always moist, and tasty. The toppings are always fresh, and the ranch is amazing. Today, i called, and the gentleman that answered the phone was so cheery, and actually made me laugh. Its a Monday, and to have a person that happy, it made me immediately get on here to post an "attaboy". Keep up the good work, great food and happy vibes.

I have always liked CPA's pizza although occasionally you get one tgat is a little under cooked. However, we just used their catering for the first time. It was great. It was delicious Italian beef and sides and it far exceeded my expectations. Seriously consider this place if you need catering.

I tried to go for lunch with co workers for the first time and forgot to put in our order so they wanted us to wait. Smh we left for to jewel I can say we are never going back

The pizza and the service here is fantastic. On both occasions we had Randy who is extremely friendly and funny. These are amazing buffalo wings with a delicious sauce with a slightly tangy. They are served piping hot at the table. The pizza is really nice and the double dough crust has a crispy outside and chewy inside. So GOOD! This has easily become a favorite for us. Keep up the great work!

Update: 3-stars for take-out of their pizzas 1-star for dining in and ordering sandwiches So we'll settle on 2-stars? My previous review of take-out for their pizza still stands. Good pizza and we've tried several of their pizza offerings since that review. But when dining in the service was incredibly slow (sandwiches should not take longer than a pizza to come out), not attentive at all (drinks never refilled & no check-ins beyond taking order & dropping off the food), and our sandwiches were incredibly greasy to the point we didn't finish our sandwiches and didn't even bother to take the leftovers home. I get it that some sandwiches are just inherently greasy but this was beyond that.

Decided to try it, my sister called in the order. We ordered a 1/2 Hamburger ( it's was barely edible, burn bun), Mixed Basket was a joke. "12 family pizza for $20?? Are you insane it was crap! The Penne Broccoli Pasta was my biggest disappointment, no flavor and what's the deal with the massive load of shrimp, disgusting! Slow service as well. For how long they took at least make the food taste good! Terrible food!

I waited awhile on this bc I really don't like leaving bad reviews. But honestly, the pizza just wasn't very good and to top it off, it's more money than the competition. It was very dry and not a lot of flavor. Also, we decided to eat in the restaurant and the service was very, very slow. We won't be eating here again.

Its personally my second to third favorite place to get pizza. ai only ordered a pizza with spinach and sausage but it was the best. Ingredients were equally proportion and the sausage they used added a great flavor to the pizza. Every time I have had a slice or two it has been satisfying. I just wish it was one actually in Chicago!

Good pizza but i just realized they charge me as a specialty pizza when i just ordered a x large with pepperoni and mushrooms AND they still charge for the extra topping so i got charged five more dollars for no reason sucks big time. Make sure you get what you pay for.

I've been ordering pizza from here for years. Still the best place in town to get pizza! Their wings are also on point. The buffet doesn't have much to offer, so I suggest you stick with carry out.

Good pizza. Average service at best. Overall a decent buffet for the cost.

Found this place quite by accident tonight. From the outside it didn't look like much, but once I stepped inside I was pleasantly surprised. somewhat quaint with a great atmosphere. Very clean. Superb service! They have a small but very complete salad/soup/ pizza buffet for under $8! The salad bar was great. Fresh, crisp greens with a lot of variety of fixings and salads. The soups were very good and the pizza was great. A good variety of pizzas too - not just the plain ones you usually see on buffets. I will have to visit this place again...and again...and again! A week later now...just to make sure the great dining experience I had last week wasn't a fluke, I decided to go back. Everything was just as great as the previous week. This is a great place.

I received a CPA menu in the mail late last week and decided to give you a try last week. I could not be more disappointed. First, your website does not take your coupons that are attached to your menu. Second, I placed my order online and did not receive the email confirmation but the website gave me a confirmation number so i just went with it. An hour later when my order has not arrived (and my children were whining that they were starving) I was not really all that alarmed being the website gave me a 40-45 minute window and it was wet and raining outside. One hour and 15 minutes later your RUDE delivery driver called stating that he was lost. I attempted to get him turned around in the right direction but he hung up on me. I proceed to call CPA and ask to speak to the manager on duty. The gentleman I spoke with apologized and offered to give me credit. Today my account has been debited- no credit posted and I had to rewarm the COLD pizza yesterday. I attempted to email via your website and guess what that does not work either!! While your pizza (even reheated) is good your customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced!

CPA is a great local eatery. The pizza special for 2 is our favorite. Yummy thin crust, If you love beef sandwiches, Theirs is a winner. I order the Beef with mozzarella cheese dry and dipping juice on the side ... you get the sandwich with the bread roll toasted to perfection. Randy is a great server !

Ordered pizza a no. of times. Never disappointed. Good crispy crust. ONLY have had pizza, would like to try some other items. Not sure if they have buffet in the rest, since we havent eaten there. Will try at some point. Not much around here, so glad they are close.
(4)Cheryl W.
The pizza is good, but since they changed locations, they no longer have the buffet. It was a great salad and pizza buffet where they asked you when you came in what kind of pizza you would like to have them put out on the buffet.
(3)Chris M.
One of the best pizza places in Elgin.
(4)Gustavo R.
This place is absolutely good, fresh salad and the pizza really good .

My wife and I love this place. It's one of our favorites to go out and eat at due to their good food and good prices. They have a pizza deal that's awesome and keeps us coming back (med 1 topping pizza, 2 salads or soup, and 2 soft drinks for 20 bucks) Can't beat that! Just make sure you ask for 'easy sauce' if you don't like sauce loaded on your pizza. The new location is very cozy and the big booths are very comfortable to relax and enjoy a great meal. Also, their home made ranch dressing is amazing. I actually look forward to eating a salad because of it. Keep up the good work guys!

Thin crust pizza is pretty awesome. I usually order Italian sausage and fresh garlic. It's so deelish! Also had the ribs, which are finger licking good. The chicken parm is excellent as well. I don't think you can miss on anything on the menu.

My favorite take out place! The food here is just delicious. I don't think I've ever had anything bad here. Their baked mostaccioli and garlic bread is amazing. Makes my mouth water just thinking about this place. The takeout staff is always very friendly.
(5)Ken K.
Stopped here for lunch and ordered a slice of pizza which took 30 minutes! The server had a hard time taking care of 3 tables. Either they need to add another server or replace the one we had otherwise we won't be back!

I do not like to write BAD reviews, but I feel the time is NOW. While the pizza might be good the delivery service STINKS - IT IS PITIFUL!! 5 times, I repeat 5 times, I have tried to set up an automatic delivery and billing system with the CPA in Elgin. Each and every time the restaurant "blows" it, forgets it, no delivery, can't find the building, etc. CPA is very apologetic. A system is set up AGAIN and AGAIN no deliveries. I have had many conversations with management and still the NO SERVICE persists. The deliveries were to be sent to my brother in a nursing home and he BLAMES ME for the lack of delivery. I AM BOTH UPSET AND THROUGH with the CPA!!

This is our go to spot for pizza! We've tried all diff specialty pizzas & they're all great. Service is great along with their wings & appetizers

Pizza is ok.. Service was absolutely awful.. The last time I Ordered pizza, it was a delivery to my work.. Gave them my cell number to call me when they arrived. They never called.. I called them back an hour and a half later and was yelled at by the goon on the other end.. They claim I gave them the wrong number, even though I have had the same cell number for over 13 years.. Maybe you made the mistake not me.. Rude service have not ordered from them since

My husband & I get the 4 piece country fried chicken. We love the crispiness and moisture of the chicken. We have ordered the deep dish pizza which I am a fan of while my husband prefers the thin crust. Want to try other items on the menu but always go back to our favorites. Glad they are close by..

Yes this pizza rocks. Really flavorful, awesome crust, good sauce and they use enough. Extensive menu with plenty of great italian food plus a killer burger too. I am a pizza expert and in fact own a pizza place and this is as good as mine, yes I eat at other pizza joints too because I love pizza. And in like to spread the love. My fave in the city is Marie's on Lawrence but that is 70's tavern style not the same quality (and quantity) as this. Get some:)

Normally we order carryout from this place but decided to eat in this time. The dining area is small with 4 booths and a handful of tables but it is clean. There was only one waitress for the dining room, but it wasn't a big deal since it wasn't busy. We decided to order pizza (one cheese and one sausage, onion, jalapeno). Pizza came out after a reasonable wait time and tasted great. The crust was crisp, the sauce flavorful, and the toppings plenty. No one left hungry and we even had leftovers which tasted even better the next day.

This review is for the lunch Buffett. They score much better for delivery We arrived, there were about 7 people in the place already. Not exactly packed. The salad bar had no green salad. The soup had no spoons available (had to drink it out of the cup). The main draw, the pizza buffett, had three small pieces of pizza on it. The service was slow. When we saw our server about 20 minutes in, she We asked about there being no pizza and she said she thinks some was in the oven. We're coming up on 30 minutes this point, and no more pizza. Meager salad, soup without a spoon and breadsticks are lunch. Unable to wait any longer and needing to return to work, we had to hunt down our server, who vanished again and eventually went to the cashier up front to pay. The whole point of the Buffett was a quick lunch, and CPA entirely, utterly failed to deliver. Order delivery from them, but don't waste your time with the Buffett

I decided to drive around Elgin to find a new place to eat... after about an hour of only seeing bars and typical fast food joints I ran into Chicago Pizza Authority. I almost missed it too. I was driving by and one of those strip mall "menus" I saw the word "Pizza" so I turned in. I drove along the strip and glanced at a store that I thought said "Chicago Sports Authority." Oops. On the way out I looked again and realized it said Pizza. I ended up going for the very inexpensive buffet. The pizza itself was alright, nothing special. It was a bit old too, but, the staff was super friendly and attentive and even asked if I had any pizza requests for the buffet. The best part of the spread was the bread sticks. They're unbelievably light, and puffy. Really cool and tasty. I'd go back here for the awesome service and the breadsticks.

I've been ordering from CPA for years! Everything I've had has been delicious. My favorite is the fetticini alfredo with chicken. I also love the potato skins.

Excellent Chicago thin-crust. No complaints; it's always good.

Placed an order online to be delivered about 40 minutes before closing time.....no way to enter a credit card online.......ok.....I call to give them my credit card and "the manager" said it was his first day and he didn't know how to enter a credit card that way......finally took the card number and placed the order.....then called back and said one of the items I ordered off their online menu, they don't carry anymore.....so i got something else, then "a driver" calls me back and tells me that the manager didn't want to call me and tell me that he "accidentally" turned off the pizza oven and it will take 45 minutes to turn them back on then cook your pizza then deliver it, so you just want to cancel?", I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So after he basically told me that they were now closed I told him to have a manager call me the next day........no call..........so I go to their website and send in an email to let the upper management know what happened and that they have incompetent people working for them in their later hours.......no response. This place clearly does not give a damn about customer service because I have never seen a place just ignore customers. They will not be getting my business anymore, not that I am too disappointed, the food is ok at best and I only order it because they are open later than everyone else. Lock it up Pizza Authority Lock it up.

This place knows what they are doing with a bargain pizza. The pizza comes hot, cheese, meat, and everything stays together on the pizza no matter how many toppings. You know how some pizza have toppings that slide off and everything but the crust is back on your plate, they have mastered this lol...hope this helps. We have the pizza delivered so I can't say what they offer in the restaurant.
(4)Katie k.
LOVE it. Best pizza you can get in elgin. and I just tried their wings today, on par with the best i've ever had. i highly recommend it here!
(5)John H.
Pizzas are pretty good, they also have dine in decorated with a funky seventies trailer park kind of look. The deal is their buffet of pizza, beef sandwiches, fried fish, salad, etc.. Its setup well and pretty well maintained. Saff has always been friendly. Worth a try
