Since its the closest RR... and the kids typically like RR, we decided to give it another try after the bad experience last summer. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to say things haven't changed. The place was maybe 1/5 full, pretty slow when we got there. We were on a tight time frame and all knew what we wanted, so sat down, ordered everything. It took awhile to get our food. The manager was barking at the employees that he needed 'runners'.. well, we could see our order sitting in the window for a good 10 minutes before it was brought to us. Why didn't the manager take it himself (like any decent manager) instead of yelling at his workers to take it to a table that wasn't theirs? The fries: Soggy, as usual. As soon as the meals arrived, the fries were cold and soggy so we asked for a basket of 'well done' fries. Guess what? They never came. We changed it up from burgers and went with chicken sandwiches. The chicken was cold and rubbery, WAY overcooked. Towards the end we asked for our check and a couple of boxes because everything had taken so long, and we had somewhere to be.. The waitress then went and took orders from two more tables, didn't come back for another 15 minutes, at that point everyone was in the car ready to go.. so I boxed up the two meals for the kids and left a decent tip for the bad service, considering.. One saving grace was the short stack of onion rings, pretty good, but I guess hard to screw up. I must have eaten at 10 different RR's around the country, I don't know why this one is consistently horrible both in service and food quality. Something needs to change.

I just read the other reviews. I'm surprised by the low stars and negative reviews. We eat here once or twice a month - always on Friday night before we catch a movie at the local AMC. The staff is always friendly. Service could be faster but I assume it's just typical because we are always here during the Friday night dinner rush. The burgers are great, fries are bottomless and the onion ring tower is a must have.

Nice restaurant with a nice outside seating area for the warmer months. The food is pretty good with the added plus of unlimited french fries which are the big steak fries which are always served really hot. Always have good service there never any complaints. They have about every combination of burgers you could probably think of and you definitely get your money's worth because they are huge. Its a good place to go for lunch,

I'm usually not a fan of those typical bar-and-grill cookie-cutter places (like Applebees, Chilis, Red Robin, etc), but since I had a gift card (worth 2 visits) I decided to come in. I've been here a few times in the past, and all times were decent. The last two times I was in there I received excellent service from bartender Brad! He's actually the first server from Red Robin to actually ask me if I wanted more fries (usually I would have to ask the server many times for a fries refill). Burgers are so-so, but there's so many I haven't tried yet. As for now this gets 3 out of 5 from me.

So we had another wonderful evening out this last Tuesday night. My wife has a habit for enrolling us in any member program that she can, it's an obsession, in this case Red Robin sent her a free burger coupon for us to us anyday with in her birth month. Pretty Good Idea because we have two kids and myself that generate revenue for them still. So overall a good night with really good burgers and a kid friendly environment.

Maybe it's this location, or maybe it's just me, but the burgers here just haven't been very good the last few times I've stopped at this particular location. I am a Red Robin nut, and will usually beg my wife to go here when we are close by. However, over the last few months I have been at this location about 2 or 3 times, and each time, I've noticed the burgers lacking flavor. Actually, I've felt like I really don't know why I like this place so much after eating here the last few times. Either I've lost my love for their food, or something has changed in the quality here. One thing is for sure, though, the onion ring tower is phenomenal! The dipping sauce is something that my wife and I have spent hours on google searching for recipes to recreate, and although we haven't actually made the attempt yet, I think we have a pretty good idea of where to start! The truth is, we live a good hour or more from this location. We get here when we cross the rivers to visit family, and that is about it. Though the onion rings are good, I just cannot keep going to a place that continues to let me down. The Red Robin locations closer to home seem to be of much better quality, or at least have been the last few times we have been there. Hopefully for the sake of everyone in Edwardsville, this location will pick it up again. For now though, I've had better, and that is speaking from within the same chain.

They do have the largest burger selection that I have seen in a very long time. However, as they say "the more it changes, the more it stays the same." The part that earned them the three star's, where their variety of appetizer's. If you want to keep on paying for your selection, long after it is been eat, I would suggest The Full Tower of Onion Rings; with extra house dipping sauce. But, if this is not your style, there are plenty of variety to choose from. Their burger's were very dry and over cooked on the flame thrower. It was only 8:00pm, so still too early to give you an adequate report of their bar activity, but judging by the heavily stocked selves (as you can see in my picture), they are ready for an entire platoon to stop by and pay them a visit.

My boyfriend and I walked in and sat at the bar on a Thursday afternoon. Although the bartender was very nice, it took her about 15 minutes to notice us. When she took our order she asked me if I wanted pink in my burger. I told her that I wanted my burger medium rare, my boyfriend proceeded with medium. After about 20 minutes I told him that I knew they were going to be overcooked, and when they arrived they were. I opted to eat my fries only, but she insisted that she could fix it. Alas, the 2nd burger came back almost as well done as the first one was. I found it sad that a place that is known for the burgers couldn't make a burger cooked to order medium rare and medium. If we want a good burger we will go to St Louis from now on.

I am not a huge fan of Red Robin. The bottomless fries are kind of a joke when your server takes years to bring them to you, that also goes for some of their drinks. The burgers really are hyped up more than they're worth. They look like that have great delicious ingredient combinations, but their flavor is lacking. Not the best burger place in town, not the absolute worst, but they're somewhere down there.
(2)
John H.
Good burgers, but "pink" is the rarest I can try to order, and I'm lucky if I get it. There's a gluten-free menu, but when you order from it, and the burger arrives with the bun "on the side" and ON TOP OF THE LETTUCE, you have to wonder about training and supervision. Bottomless fries are still very good.

Little over priced for a burger and fries, but the fries are "bottomless". They do have other selections on the menu.

Wow, they wen't from being terrible to being amazing! The food was so much better on our last three visits so I had to come tell you all. The Spinach Artichoke appetizer is back-gotta get that. I inquired as to what happened because we were so turned off from the place that we haven't gone back until recent. I was greeted by the new manager. She has really turned that place around, as evident by a now busy parking lot. If you had really bad experiences there in the past, you might want to give them a second try (try the medium rare for hamburger, tastes yummier, I think).

I'm not a big burger eater...but when I want one - I want the best! This place does everything right. Service is outstanding. Burgers are the best I've ever tasted. Salads and chicken sandwiches are very good, as is their chili. Some people complain about the price - about $10 just for the burger and fries. But - the burgers are incredible and they are big. Also, the fries come with unlimited refills so you will not leave hungry. If the price or size is daunting to you, consider splitting and order with a friend. They will gladly do this for you and still give your unlimited fries. Lastly - if you are a vegetarian, their boca burger and garden burger are incredible.

I have visited this location 3 times. The first two were good but my last visit was not. I ordered my burger medium and it was raw. I mean raw as in still cold in the middle. My other two guests ordered theirs well done and theirs weren't as raw as mine but still under cooked. The server never came back until she was ready to give us a bill. Unfortunately that was enough to turn me off of Red Robin for a while.

Red Robin is our go to restaurant when the Mrs. and I cannot decide what we want for dinner. Its not bad but nothing spectacular either. The burgers are flavorful but the fries are better. To top it off, the fries are bottomless which means they will keep bringin' as long as your eatin'. A little advise though, if you order a burger make sure to order it "pink" as they typically overcook their burgers.
(3)

Food is tasty, if pricey. We typically avoid Red Robin because of ever-present groups with screaming children, who think it's ok to let their children scream because other parents are letting their children scream.

We attempted to eat at this Red Robin location on Friday. I was looking forward to watching the Cardinal game while enjoying a burger and bottomless fries with my family. However, after being seated and waiting for over 5 minutes (yes I even used the stopwatch app on my phone) we still hadn't seen a single server. It would be understandable (though not entirely excusable) if they had been busy, but we were one of maybe 4 or 5 tables in the entire dining area. At that point, we got up and went to the St Louis Bread Co next door (which was great btw). Understanding that employees get breaks, it did not help to see a group of 5 employees hanging out on the patio as we left. After placing our order at Bread Co, I walked back over to talk to the manager of RR (Jim) to tell him of the atrocious LACK of service, and that we would not be back for quite a while (if ever). It had been some time since we had tried Red Robin, due to receiving poor service in the past. This experience only went to reassert that RR should remain OFF THE LIST.

This was my first taste of Ref Robin and I went with the Teriyaki Chicken Burger and sweet tater fries. The fries were good(wish places would bake instead of fry em) and the chicken was tasty as well! It was well after lunch so place was empty and service was ok. Waited a little to take our order. My only complaint was the bread was useless as it was soaked and fell apart so I had to knife and fork it. Still good though.

I've been on the quest for an awesome burger in St. Louis, and Red Robin is definitely not it. Burgers are greasy and slimy and just totally fall apart when you try to eat them. The patty is super thin and they load up the sauce pretty thickly, which is probably why the burgers fall apart. The fries are your regular kind of fries, and the sweet potato fries are marginally better, but not the amazing ones that I have come to crave from other places in St. Louis. Personally, I think Five Guys burgers are more "gourmet" than Red Robin's...honestly, what has the world come to where you can throw different ingredients together that you usually wouldn't think of for a burger and call it gourmet?? I order something different every time, and I still have yet to find something on the menu that I like. Our waitress was sort of absent-minded and ditzy, in a nice way. She had maybe four tables, including us. She forgot the utensils and napkins and asked us if she had brought the check to us already (she had). She didn't bother bussing the table either, and I think the manager or the assistant manager actually did that for her. I'm definitely going to have to hit the Tums before bed.

I always place a take-out order when I eat from this location. Orders placed over the telephone are easy to call in and they're done quickly. It usually only takes 15 minutes for my order to be ready. Usually it's sitting at the bar waiting for me. The bartender collects the payment, checks the bag for the correct order, and off I go. All but once has my order been perfect (one time they forgot the dipping sauces). So far, so good. I recommend ordering out from this location.

Red Robin is easy. I'm not a burger and fries kind of girl, but, it makes my kids happy and I can give them a handful of quarters to play with and grab myself a drink and maybe even a conversation. Now, if I were a french fry girl, these would be tops on my list. They are so salty and yummy. But, I try not to partake in this fried finger food, as hard as that is to do. I've heard great things about the burgers, although, I'm not sure why they can't offer anything less than "medium" (does that say something about the quality of their meat?) Happily, they do have enough healthy options that I don't find it difficult to eat here. The Chicken sandwich with pineapple is a great option. I also enjoy the chicken and rice bowl and a few of the salads. As far as the mega-American burger joints go, this is the best in the area.

I honestly have never had a fully great dining experience at Red Robin, the food (depending on what you order) is pretty good so we kept going back to try it but... it's so loud, every time we go there it's crawling (literally) with kids and every other table seemed to be having a birthday party. Maybe if you have kids this is the place to go but if you are looking for a quiet meal with your family or going on a date I would not recommend this restaurant. As for the food... the burgers, fries, and drinks are pretty great. The chicken selections (chicken tenders and chicken fillet sandwich) are nothing special and cost $10 or more, very disappointing if you are a chicken lover like me. Overall, it's not worth the price, especially with 54th Street right around the corner! Eat there instead!
