I had my wedding and reception here and my husband and I were floored with the results!!! Kruti and Sahil were exceptional to work with and made our vision come alive. Go with them if you want to be a stressfree bride!!!

I was here for a meeting of sorts. The food was terrible and available for only 45 minutes at best. We were all told there would be food so my group ate nothing all day, to walk into a complete mess of a banquet. There was only 1 bathroom for just about 100 women who all had to pee at the same time. I asked the staff if there was another place to use the facilities, and they all pretty much shrugged their shoulders, looked at each other nervously, and said that the extra bathrooms were for staff only. Really? I thank my lucky stars every single day that I don't live in this area.

We had our wedding and reception here on July 26, 2014 and it was perfect. Working with Sahil was so stress free and he goes above and beyond for customers! The food was great both American and Indian style and this venue is absolutely beautiful. The staff were professional and very attentive. All of our guests are still talking about the Amazing service. Thank you Ashyana for making my wedding day so beautiful and stress free, what a blessing!!

We had our wedding reception here and worked with Sahil. He was very professional and made sure that our wedding day was perfect and stress-free. We received many compliments on how good the food was and Ashyana Banquets made sure we were completely satisfied during the food-tasting session. I would highly recommend this banquet hall for any event. As with any vendor, you just need to make sure to remind them of things you have discussed and make sure it is in writing. Thank you, Ashyana Banquets for making our wedding day wonderful!

I wish there was an option for no stars for this place. I liked the look of this place and the food.but everything else their was ridiculous.1. Their customer service is the worst I have ever received. 2. I had a wedding planner and they were not happy to work with him. 3. They originally showed us a room and based on that we paid, then a few weeks before my reception, they told us the room would be smaller and it was a miscommunication on OUR part! 4. The staff, including the owner mr jain went back and forth the entire time with their decisions. Things were not written cut and clear in our contact, and even the things that were, they still would change them without our regards. 5. They have rules and regulations about using outside vendors. They want you to purchase everything from them for a higher price of course. 6. Everyone there is extremely rude! As a client, I feel I deserve to be treated with excellent customer service. But not here. They practically yelled at my wedding planner during these times. Overall, I had problems after problems dealing with the people at this place. I am appalled at their way of treating their customers and outright lying to their clients and promising things that they cannot deliver! They made my wedding process hell! I just wanted it to be over and never have to deal with anyone from their again. I do not recommend anyone to book this place. Very very unsatisfied!!!!!!

Ashyana rocks. The sangeet and reception I attended rocked! Very accommodating and they know how to make the place classy and fun without blowing up the budget. We had a large reception and it was no problem for them. The service was great, coordination of vendors was great, and they even let us stay a little later than we thought.

I was here for a family event with around 150 people. It was a very nice venue and the event went off very well. There was a lot of parking and I liked the entrance and the hall with the grand chandeliers. The food they catered was very good well.

I attended a wedding reception here and everything was very tastefully and beautifully done. The reception hall was elegant with gorgeous center pieces, romantic lighting, and immaculate table settings. The place can easily seat 700 people, so it's great for those who have a big guest list. Before the reception started, we enjoyed open bar and an appetizer buffet. The bartenders were knowledgeable and quick in preparing drinks and the buffet was easily accessible and provided a variety of delicious Indian appetizers. I usually can't eat food that is too spicy but almost everything was mild enough for my taste. Once the reception started, we were served more delicious Indian food family style. The servers were attentive and organized. I really like the fact that they have a huge parking lot outside so even with 700 guests, you have no trouble finding a spot. All in all, a great place for weddings and other events, I would highly recommend!

I got married there. They lost my cake topper something my husband and I had worked on together and was a keepsake for us. They should be more diligent and keep things that people accidentally leave behind ... its super hectic during the wedding to grab everything no matter how organized you are. I have no complaints about the food especially the deserts or about the staff. It was the planning process and the lack of customer service that really irked me during and after the wedding. Overall they were very slow in their customer service and response time. We always had difficulty getting people to call us back without harassing them; that is not the sort of stress you want the week of the wedding. When I went in to do the layout and they were very aggressive with telling us where to put things and trying to dictate the style when they had NEVER taken the time to understand what I was going for. I'm glad I stuck to my guns and didn't let them decide on all the design factors. Some design ideas I did let their planner Kruti take charge of and regret it. I had alot of my guests complain about the lighting and when my mother went to ask her to turn the temperature down she was super rude to her and told her (IN FRONT OF OUR GUESTS) "Okay but don't come to me in 20 minutes if it gets to cold and ask me to turn it up." Her attitude during the whole process was "I know best" and was obnoxious and rude. You have to be aggressive. We were told 4,5 days before our wedding that they could not provide us samosa with egg roll wrapping even though they had written that into our contract because it required a lot of man power and it would be "easier" for them to do it with the thicker wrap. 4 days before the wedding you do not try to change up the menu. That is super inconvenient. I would not recommend them even though they give you a good deal but there is a room for improvement with their customer service. I forgot to mention this ... but they had said they would spread roses out on the tables ... to give them a bit of jazz and they totally didn't! Only on the cake table. I HATE that you have to double check everything with them. That's what UNprofessionalism is and that cheapness and lack of attention to detail is why people choose not to get married at places like this.

I attended an Indian wedding ceremony at this banquet hall this past weekend. There are few banquet halls in Chicagoland that can fit the amount of people invited to this Indian wedding...and Ashyana Banquets is one of them. And better yet it is a beautiful banquet hall. I loved the room the ceremony was held in...simple with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. You can pretty much decorate this room anyway you want to and for others choosing to get married here there is a pretty long aisle for the bride and other members of the bridal party to walk down. The food here was also amazing! They served Indian food and I couldn't tell you what I was eating, but it sure was pretty tasty!! I figured they brought in the food from somewhere else, but I asked the bride later in the evening and apparently the banquet hall catered it themselves...very impressive! Not quite an intimate setting, but if you're looking for a space to hold a lot of people (and by a lot of people I mean over 400) this banquet hall is worth looking into...

I'm busting out the rare 5 stars for this place, because the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. I've seen this place in various iterations over a 3-day long wedding party, and am amazed by the service, the decor, and the food. Service - The staff was always polite, and were very speedy considering the wedding party list had ~800 people. I've been to a few places where the staff takes my drink order (I usually request tea), and it comes 40 minutes later. Definitely not the case at Ashyana. The bartenders were also very knowledgeable and could make up any combination of drinks I requested. My favorite? The mango martini. By far, I am most impressed with how quick the rooms were all turned over. After the wedding ceremony, my friends and I went home to change and get ready for the reception. Literally 2 hours later, we came back and entire room was completely turned over with tables set up, floor arrangements, gorgeous lighting, and completely new decor. It was hard to believe that I was in the same room! Especially when the staff had to set up accommodations for 800 people!! Decor - I'm starting to believe that this place can look any way you want it to look, especially after seeing it in so many different ways over 3 days (different furniture arrangements, lighting, sashes and other decorative elements, etc.). The staff also did a nice job of setting the tables up for the reception so that everyone had a good view of the main stage, and also so that the wedding cake was (deservedly) shown in its full glory. Food - I normally gain my obligatory yearly 10lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I gotta say, I think I gained 10lbs just from the wedding weekend alone. The cocktail hour/appetizers were diverse, and served buffet style across from the main reception hall. Everything was delicious. The dinner was served family style, and was mouthwatering. I actually wondered whether they had a restaurant that I could come back to and eat at another time. For the food alone, I would give 5 stars. Definitely better than some stand-alone restaurants I've been to. Overall - great experience and would recommend it to every friend.

I have been here for one wedding and two receptions, and a baby shower and a 1st b-day party. Its actually a really pretty banquet hall (it is pretty new, only about 2 -3years old) but the wedding which was two years ago, the food was just ok and the reception was better and the 2nd reception and b-day party, baby shower I went to the food was really good. I think you have to use their own caterers though. I want to say they cater from a restaurant. There is a restaurant attched to the side. Also its hard to tell with the food bec it kinda depends on what the hosts have picked(usually there is a food tasting), it's a buffet for events like weddings and baby showers, b-days and the menu is picked in advance.

From a customer's point of view this place seems nice with the good food, decor, hospitality, etc. But behind that facade is a very different story. From a wedding DJ, videographer, photographer, decorator, wedding cake makers point of view this place is horrible. First, the assistant manager yells and treats his workers like crap. Secondly, they take away all our business cards that we put on the tables so all the guests will not know who "we" are. The plump manager who took my DJ business cards, just gave me a stern look and put my pile of business cards on a tiny table with no explanation. It was told to me by someone close to the owner who works at a different banquet hall, that Ashyana Banquets has their own specialty people and don't want the guests to know who I am. The plump manager says that the business cards were taken off the tables because they're "tacky". The videographer was also pissed off and said that when he edits the September Albanian wedding he is going to cut out any scene that has the Ashyana Banquet name in it because "THATS TOO TACKY". And the photographer's wedding planner, who's business cards were also removed, will not recommend this place to any of her customers and will persuade them to go with someone else like Drury Lane or Chateau Del Mar. I wish this place was still a movie theater!

My brother got married here about a month ago and I was blown away by this place! Most indian banquet halls, though cheap, tend to lack in service and sophistication. Ashyana is such an asset to the Indian community as it bring BOTH, all for a very reasonable price. In planning my brother's wedding, we wanted everything to be aboslutely PERFECT. The staff at Ashyana made sure to accomodate every single one of our requests. We had all three events here (Sangeet, Ceremony & Reception) and each one was beautifully-executed. The food, service and decor were impeccable and all of our guests were very pleased. Thankfully, the place itself is huge...we had an 850+ guest list and thought that it would feel a bit crowded. But that was not tha case at all! The ballroom is quite luxurious and spacious and the lobby also served as an extra room for our guests to mingle during cocktail hour. The decor in the grand ballroom was elegant and classy and it was very easy to bring in all the colors we selected for each event given the neutral color scheme of the room. Additionally, each of our families were able to reserve the bridal and guest suits upstairs to get dressed and have a little bit of privacy before each event started. Food-wise, we could not have asked for anything better. We had a food tasting prior to the big day and the head chef made sure to prepare everything JUST the way we requested. He even came up with a few new special dishes just for our event. The food here is unique and definitely top quality compared to some of the other Indian banquet halls in the area. I also loved that they were able to prepare SO many different types of cuisine. It was very important that we provided variety for our guests since all of our events took place here. Our wedding consultant did a great job of suggesting new items from North Indian, South Indian, Indo-Chinese, American, Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines. I am amazed at the production these people run. I would LOVE to see how big the kitchen is! Overall, our family was very happy in working with the staff at Ashyana. They really understand the importance of good customer service and do a great job of taking care of each client. Also, in speaking with my parents, Ashyana charged us very reasonable rates compared to some of the other venues we were looking at in downtown. Ashyana is such a gem and we are very glad to have selected it for my brother's wedding!

we had an initiation dinner here. i think we ordered the wrong food.... well first, we had the french onion soup. that was pretty delicious, no doubt. but then....the salad had wayyyyy too much dressing and cheese. each salad was also a different size...? the chicken felt rubbery like it was fake or taken from a lean cuisine. our helping of mashed potatoes was larger than our chicken... the veggies also felt like they were frozen and not fresh. and the dessert... the lone brownie that A. was again not given in even portions and B. had that slanted top so you knew if you had an edge or a middle piece. they also cleared out plates before we had a chance to eat. it was like they were rushing us to leave or starve. we also had the small room that had hardwood floors, so it was REALLY loud. the place looked nice, and it was a nice change from our usual Carlisle in lombard. i don't think we'll be back though, unless we decide to try the indian food.
