Cool vibe on the inside. The cappuccino I ordered was a latte with no foam. So my latte was good but didn't blow my mind. I also ordered a cafe sua da "Vietnamese coffee" which was also good but not great. Lastly I had the salmon goat cheese quiche which was good but a bit lite since the portion was a little small. I think I really wanted to like this place having grown up in Decatur and being a huge fan of local business but to be honest it was just ok. I do a lot of traveling so I've had a lot of amazing food so to be fair I am very hard to please. Most people will find this place more than satisfactory. My buddy still lives here and really liked his latte. Overall I'm giving it 4 stars because nothing I had was bad just not great and anyone who can make it in Decatur a city that loves chain stores is doing something right. So if you like local businesses too then go here! It's the only cafe like it in Decatur to my knowledge and has a rad vibe!

I can't believe this place can call itself a bakery. Cafe? Maybe. But ALL of their food items come from Pekara in Champaign, the REAL bakery! This place just peddles their goods, so who knows how fresh it is. I was disappointed, having chosen this place out for lunch, then arriving to see all the Pekara labels and the fact that they don't really have a kitchen, they're basically just a storefront for Pekara items. They reheat Pekara quiche, slap egg salad on Pekara bread, and will gladly sell you a TINY sliver of Pekara cake for an exorbitant amount. Both my husband and I were struck by the feeling that the decor was designed to make it feel eclectic and unique but they'd gotten it a bit wrong and it felt a bit contrived and constructed to attract a certain clientele without really being able to pull through with the fresh-baked-on-premises, corner artisan bakery and cafe label. The inclusion of the word flour in their name is the last straw, one has to wonder if they even have any flour at this place at all! Lastly, I ordered a combo, which the menu says comes with a sample of sweet bread. Yum, a small dessert with my soup and sandwich! But it didn't come with a sample! When I asked about it, I was told they "hadn't been doing that for a while" Ok, so take it off the menu. (I LOVE Pekara, and our food tasted good so I'm not giving this place a completely negative review. I understand that people in Decatur like convenient access to Pekara product. It just irks me that they call themselves an artisan bakery and really have no claim to that title.)

So I've been in Decatur for a week on a business trip, and the Wildflour Bakery is hands-down the best place I've been!! My colleague and I could not handle another hotel/buffet breakfast, so I mapped bagels on my phone. Came up with Einsteins, but the address given was Miliken University and the phone number was a dead end. Disappointed and downtrodden, we drove up Main Street... only to come across Wildflour!! Really cute place, baked goods, friendly owner, delicious quiche... my colleague enjoyed his scone... will definitely be back in the future. AND opens at 7!

There's a lot of heart at this place. The owner is always there, working her butt off to ensure that people leave happy. Their pastries were delicious, and the coffee options were nice. If you're in to quiches, this place is great. The portion is a good size, and the prices are fairly reasonable as well. I'm also obsessed with red velvet cupcakes, and their version of them is pretty good. The cafe is located just outside of downtown. There's no parking lot, so plan on parking on the street for quick and easy access.

We just ate there for the first time. My 12 year old son ordered a cheese and egg bread thing. Cheese and egg cooked inside of a roll. He showed it to me when he was half done eating it. It had what looked like grey mold in it. We showed the cook and she turned white and ran off with it. She came back with a new one that didn't have mold. Later the same cook stopped by and said "did bob talk to you yet". The name wasn't bob, I'm making it anonymous for this review. I assume she was referring to the person that was in charge and working the register. We said "no, they have not talked with us". I assume they were going to apologize again for the mold and maybe offer something off of the tab (which you pay before eating at this place). We sat for 15 more minutes and then left. Bob was making coffee drinks, but should have stopped us if they wanted to stop our yelp review. He just let us walk out without stopping what he was doing. His loss. The place needs an intervention.

Being from Brooklyn, NY and the home of great coffee and pastries we have some might say " street cred." Wildflour has been our spot the last three days as we have been on mid-summer vacationing to see family herein Decatur. Everyday we start off here. Below is our experience around the same time every morning: Tuesday: cinnamon roll with creamcheese frosting, pesto quiche, large cold brew coffee, and hot china green tea. Cinnamon roll was an instant favorite. The sugary cream cheese warmed was amazing. They warmed pesto quiche was rich but custardy and light. The coffee was the best thing we ever had. BF recommends it black with no cream or sugar! The Green Tea was floral and perfectly steeped in the coolest over the cup contraption ever seen! Wednesday: BF got the cinnamon roll again, quiche Lorraine, large cold brew coffee, iced tea. Again cinnamon roll and coffee were just as we had enjoyed the day before. The Quiche Lorraine was made with bacon and thick egg and handmade piecrust. Went down easy! And the ice tea was good too! We also enjoyed sitting outside in front watching the clouds and the people to by while our cares melted away. Thursday: we decided to hit up the Buy-One- get-One free basket. So glad we did! They had a cinnamon roll and a huge Almond Croissant. That allowed us to get theCranberry Baklava that had been staring at me the last few days! And two cold brew coffees ( I'm learning!) They kindly heated the roll and the croissant. The Almond croissant was creamy, and rich. Nutty and light. Bliss. The cinnamon roll is best served fresh! But still delicious. The Cranberry Baklava was the best treat yet! Tangy, and refreshing. A palate cleanser for the sweets prior, acidic and crispy with the Phyllo on the top. Washed down with the ice cold virgin cold brew coffee in the cutest to-go cups with a hand-illustrated picture of downtown! Lovely attention to detail. Thanks Wildflour for the delicious food, relaxing at home atmosphere, and priceless memories of our 2013 summer trip to Decatur. See you next year!

Excellent atmosphere. Service was good, very friendly staff. Sandwich (egg salad) and soup (loaded baked potato) lunch combo was very good. Wanted to try all the baked goods in the display. Had one of the cookies and it was as good as it looked. Only disappointment was the quality of the coffee. Ordered a large Latte and the milk was overly hot, untextured and extremely weak. Was probably one of the worst coffees I've had in a while

I liked it. As noted below, it's about 3 blocks west of downtown. I stopped by for pasteries. The counter-server indicated that, as noted below, the goods are prepared in Champagne. However, they are in the process of getting the kitchen in Decatur up and running within the next few weeks. The ladies who each run the respective shops are good friends - one is from Serbia. The pasteries were great! I'll have to try more, and perhaps a lunch. Nice, eclectic space - though, a bit small.
