Fun as heck. Food is insane. But if you are there on a weekday/night, you will see the old man doing laps around the bar.

I was looking for a glass of beer for my son and I after spending some time on the golf course. We stopped here. Beer was stale, warm and flat. Had a slight metallic taste, indicating dirty tappers. My beer was served in a broken glass. We elected to play pool. At $1 per game it is average. But then they clip you for $1 per pool stick. Who does that? Somewhat unfriendly staff, I didn't feel any reason to return. Had all the indications of a failing business trying to hang on for another week.

I love this place! From the incredibly friendly staff to the great new burgers on the new menu. You can't go wrong! Great specials everyday. Not to mention free pool nights, bags, trivia, and poker. There's something for everyone. The Bartender /server Melanie is the very best! She always takes great care of me and my friends whenever we're there. But so do all the girls! The whole staff including the management are great people! Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a little fun at night!
(4)Michelle S.
Very spacious and clean place with friendly staff and great prices.

I used to come here back in the day and it was alright... It has totally changed!?! Nikki has been my bartender twice and she has the best customer service with always a smile as well‼ :) Q's is so different than it was back when I lived here 3 years ago. This is my new spot when I visit my pops

***BROKEN GLASS SHARD IN WATER GLASS***** Was here for a private event in the daytime. My sister is one of those people that likes to chew on her ice cubes, and she took out a piece of glass from her mouth. She was bleeding a little bit, the waitress/management was notified, and all they did was give her a new cup. I was so pissed! There were little kids and children also at this event, and I immediately thought that this could happen to them. Um internal bleeding, anyone??! She googled about accidentally swallowing small glass fragments and it was actually not a big thing to worry about (surprisingly) but it definitely had us freaked out initially. The worst part was the fact that the people working their didn't seem to care at all about it and just went about their regular job/server duties. They should have at least replaced EVERYONE'S glass with a new one and gotten ice out of a fresh bag or something. Will definitely NOT be back under ANY circumstance!

Came here tonight to watch the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup Championship! My friend and I were driving by and saw only about 10 cars in the parking lot after being shunned away from competitor restaurants claiming an hour and a half wait for a table. #becauseitsthecup. The nearly empty lot should have been our first clue that this establishment is crap. We got carded at the door and were told to seat ourselves and we unwisely choose a table near the restrooms. Early on this wasn't an issue but as the night progress there was this unstomachable stench permeating from the restrooms. I didn't dare step foot in there for fear of acquiring a communicable disease. Service was a joke. As far as I could tell there were only two servers covering the expanse of the place which continued to get busier and busier as the night wore on. We saw our server perhaps once per period and it took a long time for her to return with two bottles of beer each time. She also took an incredibly long time processing our bill, I'm talking more than 30 minutes and blamed it on the computer crashing, with no apology. There was some entertaining people watching going on though. There was a large, boisterous crowd standing at the bar and one patron was highly intoxicated. As he was ordering a beverage he could barely stand up, was slurring his order and the bartender had to ask him to repeat himself 3 times but she still proceeded to serve him. This same man was getting pretty flirty and touchy feely with some females and got into a shoving match and fell on his face which only then was he removed from the bar. Incorrigible behavior on both the management and this customer. I suppose "over served" is not in Q Bar's vocabulary. The bar food wings and waffle fries we shared were barely mediocre. Besides the quality entertainment of the before mentioned drunken gentleman, the only two positive attributes about this place was the cheap beer specials on domestic bottles and the fact that it was full of hardcore Blackhawks fans cheering on our Hawks to victory! I'm sorry Q Bar, but I'll never be back, even if I have to watch my playoff hockey in my grandma's basement next to her farting French bulldog. It would smell better than your establishment for sure.

Wow a first for me. went hear to meet someone. Got here early. just waited 40 minutes to get served. they have 3 bartenders , 2 barbacks, 2 servers I'm at one of 4 occupied tables. doesn't deserve stars for that kind of service. How in the hell do they stay open. just ordered cheese stix hope I dont die.
(1)Keith P.
Fun trivia with ash Wednesday nights, good specials good food. The servers are a little slow but that's okay. Good cheap beer!
(5)Michelle S.
The service is extremely slow. Mike, the bartender, was inattentive and rude. He claimed to be a manager. This guy has no business working with the public! To top it off, the ladies bathroom was dirty. My first and last time in this place.

A lame strip mall bar with loud bad music and a bunch of pool tables. The place is spacious but only because it is in a shitty out of way mall strip location and this lace offers nothing for people to make the drive. This looks like a place and town where this is a DUI magnet. THe beer is not cheap and the food is bad and the bartender messed up the burger selection totally the night I went. The place could use more waitresses and workers but owners are out likely for total greed and don't want to spend.

If I had reviewed this bar before they made all their changes this would be drastically different. We used to go here to shoot pool regularly and then they remodeled and changed everything. We can never get a pool table anymore and their service is awful. Part of this is because they put a dining area smack dab in the middle of the bar which eliminated quite a few pool tables. Not sure who decided that was a good idea but it destroyed the layout of this place. Their food is average bar food, nothing special at all about it. The bathrooms are almost never clean which leads me to believe the bar is probably just as bad. Every time we've gone while there is a band playing they seem to have some of the worst musicians. They've had a few headliners worth seeing but that would be the only thing to bring us back at this point. If you go on a weekday you may have a better experience however I'm doubting they are properly staffed then either. Sorry Q, but I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I've been going for the past couple weekends with friends and family. The spot is very spacious and never crowded. Drinks are super cheap. However, the DJ seems to play the same track-list every single visit. It's getting old. Switch it up!
(4)Ron C.
What a joke ! Saying that the service is poor would be incorrect because their is NO service. It's obvious that the workers and or managers couldn't care less about their customers . Stayed there for 3 hours at table by the bar . Never offered a menu or a drink ? Had to walk up to the bar for all our drinks. Never have seen anything as pitiful as the blatant indifference. Stay away from this disaster !!
(1)Nicholas R.
This place is desperately needing Bar Rescue!!! They serve food but no one even asked us if we wanted any!!! In fact not one waitress came to our table the whole time we were there!!!! We had to go to the bar for our drinks!!! This place is dirty from the bar to the tables to the bathrooms!!! There is no manager presence and the bartenders clearly don't care about making any money! This place could have a lot of potential if someone really gave a shit but it's obvious no one there does. There was nothing good about any part of our experience there! Chucks next door is not the most exciting bar but at least they have good food and service.

December 2013. Slow service would be an improvement. By far the worst service I have ever encountered. I ordered a wrap and a side salad and my wife ordered a burger as well as fried pickles as an appetizer. We ordered before more of our party arrived. They ordered wings about 10 min after us and they got their meal on about 15 mins, ours still came out 10 after theirs. They didn't even bring our fried pickles out and added fries to our bill and didn't even bring it out. We asked to take the fries off our bill and not even bother with the pickles. The bartender came to our table and asked if we were sure we didn't want the fries. Really? We never ordered them, but he insisted. Who is the guy walking around with the collared shirt? Is he not the manager? If it wasn't for the better choice of beer i would give this place 1 star. Come for the beer, not for the service or food, which by the way looked like it has been sitting around for awhile.
(2)Roman S.
This place gets - stars. The absolutely worst service imaginable 2 bartenders and 3 waitresses consistently ignored my friend and i After i made mention if the fact that we hadnt been serviced at the pool tables still NOTHING I would be never ever recommend this place to anyone. I had PLENTY OF money to spend and wont ever do it here

Love the space, dancing, bands, dj's, drink specials, cute staff, poker tournaments, trivia nights, tons of tvs! All under the same roof!!!
(5)Nicky W.
This place is SOO bad! What a waste of a great space... Band was terrible... Place was dead... Service was horrid
(1)Vincent R.
I've been coming here for years, and I'm finally starting to see how dirty this place is. We watched in disgust as the cooks (in an open kitchen behind the bar) prepared food all night, and didn't ever wash their hands. They also don't use gloves. They have to leave the kitchen with pizza crusts to get to the cheese/toppings bucket in another refrigerator. The same handle that everyone else is touching all night. Unacceptable, and the health department needs to look into this kitchen. One cook even picked up some plastic off the floor on his way to get the pizza toppings (before grabbing a bare-handed fistful of cheese). Also, the bathrooms are always disgusting and wet at this place. Our bartender, however, was very fast and professional. No problems there. A decent place to hang with friends for some pool and bottled beer, and maybe a sports game or two. Just don't eat here, and get there before the cover kicks in; the bands usually always suck.

The southside has Bourbon Street...we get QBar! -- A little more on the divey end, but that's usually how I like my bars. ;) -- This little mega complex has something to keep everyone happy! Good setup of pool tables, areas for dinning, free bag play, playback some serious karokee going on last night!, and the section where they feature live music is great! Great sound and lighting! Love the tall booth seating! They get some good bands in here! And the price is right! $5 cover (free if not seeing the band) - decent selection of beers. Have the 2brothers on tap ;) -- good prices on booze. Very interesting and friendly people! -- got pranked when we walked in by a regular who checked our ids and wanted to charge us cover..until the doorman seen what was going on, called him out. Definitely not the place for stiffs! Told that guy he owed us a drink btw! -- Had a great time with some off the wall people!...close to home..or close enough when you get that bourbon st itch! ;) -- Do believe we`ll be back!! --

I wouldn't recommend you going to this bar if you plan on getting a drink within the first 10 minutes of you being there. The service here is way below par. If you want to go somewhere and have a drink and hang out with people in a friendly atmosphere don't plan on coming to this bar the customers are rude the staff is rude and it takes forever to get a drink. Try a different place.

Mediocre sports bar with nice band room, lots of TV'S, good for watching games. The food is just okay. You used to be able to order Rosati's Pizza which was what I ordered 90 percent of the time, now they make their own in house pizza which is possibly the worst pizza I ever had, you've been warned. I would never go to this place if it wasn't around the corner, and that they always have cute waitresses.
(3)Liz C.
Our waitress, was slow, and didn't really check on us at all. It took 20-30 minutes to be acknowledged, and another 15 minutes for one pitcher of beer. She also overcharged us for beer, the specials board said it was 6 bucks and we were charged 8. She even confirmed that it was 6 bucks!! I don't know what happened there, it seems like it could be a fun place, and I'll come back, but I think next time, I'll pregame a bit.

Q Billiards looks like an amazing place as you walk in and see everything that is going on. There are pool tables, lots of tables to sit at and drink, a couple of separate bars, and a back room for bands. We went here to see Local H: Local H was amazing but we were really disappointed with the bar and the employees. The place was packed and there were only one or two bartenders behind each large bar. It took nearly 40 minutes to get a beer and I was standing AT the bar- not even in a line! Some areas are not well thought out in terms of space. In other words, there is a lot of bottle-necking.

If you drink Stella, demand it be served in a regular pint glass. They use the 33cl Stella glasses which do not hold 16 ounces and they call it a pint on their receipt. Fortunately, if you ask for a regular pint glass, you will get it and be charged the same. I generally refuse to drink Stella at any bar that only serves in a Stella glass and generally won't go to that bar anymore, but I love Q and they will serve it in a glass designed not to trick people. Love their wings on Sunday.

Visited for the first time about two weeks ago. Do not bother with this place if you want a bar that provides a fun environment. Creepy regulars, unsanitary methods of storing glassware when washed, from what I observed to be the 2 managers both drunk to the point of being drunk drunk (which leaves who in charge if an accident happens), they tried to charge cover at the door but when we refused they wanted to strike a deal with us and only charge some of us???? (Clearly a way of just making extra money for a failing bar), bad music in both of their music rooms or whatever they call it, and just a dirty bar. Would not feel comfortable bringing a female friend/girlfriend here and leaving her alone for a minute. BTW I check on my reviews and they took this down so I am posting it again

My husband & I went there with some friends to shoot some pool. The parkinglot is always packed on the weekend so we thought we'd see what this place is like. So, its a typical sports bar but what I enjoyed was that its very spacious. There are several TBd viewable from most areas. There was a $5 cover bit there were some live bands playing which were pretty good. The atmosphere is really laid back. A nice place to hang out once in a while. We'll definitely go back.

i just left Q and I can't think of anything more important than posting their yelp review. First.... they get 2 stars just because it looks like they are trying to improve the place. Good job with the expansion and the updated booths. Looks like it will turn out nice. Unfortunately Q books some of the worst music ever. Reckless just played there tonight and it was the worst band I've ever heard at a bar. They were out of sync, out of tune, and sometimes not even playing the same song. I've heard games of Guitar Hero that sounded better. I don't mean to dump on the bar for a crummy band but they booked them and had the nerve to charge a $6 cover. Come to think of it I take back one of those stars. For a bar with live entertainment you get 1 star. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Did a show there and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the stage/lighting/sound/space was phenomenal. Sound guy was top notch. The waffle fries are awesome, the waitstaff friendly and attentive.
(4)Josh K.
Went in during the week, not too busy. you gotta rent pool cues, but you can bring your own. pool tables are pretty nice, and the staff was pretty attentive. I can't comment on the food at all because I didn't have any, but the beer is cold, and there is usually a waitress walking by asking if you want anything. she usually returned within a few minutes of us ordering our drinks. It's nothing special, but it's a totally fine place to hang out.
(4)Joe H.
Unfriendly bar staff and warm beer but a helluva place to see and hear live music.
(2)Gary D.
They have added live music on occasion, usually Saturday nights. I have seen two bands there and both were heavy metal - made me leave and go next door to cornerstone which has much better tastes in music. Check out the Sunday Bloody Mary bar - about 30 different condiments to make bloody marys with.
(4)Mark S.
In addition to being a pool hall, foosball is played here! Serious Foosball tournaments are held here with cash prizes for the highly talented. But even if you don't know a snake shot from a pull shot, this place has a bunch of Tornado Foosball tables to learn on.
(4)Art C.
Be aware, the majority of tables here are 7' coin operated, not 9' commercial style. House cues are rented, but are in excellent shape.

Well, what can be said about this establishment? I've only been here a couple of times, but that's enough to observe that this place is pretty cool. This establishment is rather large and offers a multitude entertainment options: bean bags, darts, Foosball, arcade games, pool and watching sporting events. I've noticed that the college-age kids stick to playing bean bags, which is free to play. There are 4 stations at which to play, and I can only assume that the game becomes highly amusing after a couple of drinks to test one's dexterity. I have to admit that I played a couple of times, but stopped in germaphobe disgust when I noticed a huge plume of dust escaping a bean bag that had hit the floor beneath a lamp. I don't know how often they replace those bean bags, but judging from the dust, I'd have to say never. Just adjacent to the bean bags, they have a row of electronic dart boards. I don't think it's much fun to play darts because I didn't see anyone approach that gaming area. Perhaps it's not as fun to play if there's no danger of accidentally impaling someone. Completely across the room are the Foosball tables. They have 3 Tornadoes in really great shape. They have doubles Foosball tournaments every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Your partner is picked randomly with a deck of cards, so it's difficult to win time after time. The tournament coordinator even brings balls so the tournament isn't played with crappy ones. The game isn't only for guys as I've seen a couple of gals playing in the tournament. Next to the Foosball tables are the arcade games. They have games like golf and a punching bag and a hunting game and a couple more, but I've never paid attention to these games; however, people do play them. This place really caters to pool-playing, and it doesn't disappoint. There are about 20 pool tables in great shape. The pool tables draw in a multitude of players from Asian business men (well, I can only assume they were business men because they arrived and played in dress shirts, slacks and loafers) to skinny hipsters and their paramours--oh, did I mention this place is great for people watching? Maybe I'm just easily amused, but I digress. They have pool playing specials, but you have to inquire when they are or check their website. You can watch sporting events like baseball or mixed martial arts at the bar area or near the bean bags where it's projected on a large screen. These sporting events are not obnoxiously playing, though. Apparently, there is live entertainment here once in a while--though it's not really advertised. This place does a great job of separating the areas so people don't having bean bags flying in front of their faces as they're taking a pool shot. Also, there are many tables and ledges quite cleverly placed around the establishment where you can lay your pitcher of Bud Light or your purse. As for the food, I've only tried a couple of appetizers. They're tasty, but don't expect freakish portions. I reckon you would have to get a couple of appetizers to get full. They do have sandwiches, wraps and wings, but I haven't tried them yet. Overall, I would say this place is great. I give it 4 stars because there's lots to do, everything is adequately spaced out so there's no crowding, and it's where I discovered Bud Light (yay!). I need to taste the sandwiches, etc before I can give it 5 stars. My only beef with this joint is that the music playing overhead is either all right or boring. I'm just glad they don't play "trendy" music . . . actually, nevermind. I guess the music is pretty good. I think I would go insane if they played Katy Perry or whoever the heck is "in" right now.

On Thursdays, the place turns into "Club Q"/ Ladies night so guys have to pay a $5 cover and girls get in for free. Thursday nights also feature $1 domestic bottles and well drinks so it makes for a rather popular night for the younger crowd. However Thursday nights also features a DJ straight from a junior high dance. The place has a lot of elements that I would look for in a bar including: pool, darts, foosball, bags, lots of tvs for sports, good wait staff, and decent food and drink prices, but the bar itself just leaves something to be desired. At times it seems like the bar is trying too hard to be something that it is not, and cater to a younger crowd, particularly on Thursdays. Although it's not a bad bar it isn't one that you would go back to out of anything other than convenience. If you are looking to just go out for a casual drink during the week it would not be a bad place to go M-W, and if you are looking for a place with a decent amount of people on a Thursday there are usually a pretty decent sized crowd, despite the DJ ($1 drinks go a long way) it's not a bad choice. However I would avoid on Friday or Saturday.

I have been going to Q Billards for many years on and off. Was super shocked when I went there and saw the new addition. Looked GREAT and was super excited to see some good bands. The two big showes I saw there was 7th Heaven and the even bigger show Local H. All I have to say is get it together Q! Not enough bar tenders, Womens Bathrooms all kinds of messed up and just very unorganized. I could only buy one round of drinks when I usually would have spent a heck of alot more money there. So my advice for your next show is MORE STAFF!!!! Accomidate your guests.
