Hey...don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed is the theme here. Try the karaoke, you for sure won't be the worst singer. Occasionally the place has a nasty sewage smell, and on those occasions I pick up a sixer of PBR, grab some pickled eggs, and do my home version of the Dock. One suggestion: hire more experienced bartenders. They tend to hire hotties (who mysteriously lose their hotness after a couple weeks). We once asked if we could run a tab and were told they were a cash bar. I actually laughed and just paid drink by drink.

Friendly atmosphere cheap drinks and free popcorn what more could you ask for I definitely recommend coming here if you just want to have a drink and hang out with some close friends it's a really small bar but at least you have a good time.

Cheapest drinks of any bar in the area. Nothing is over $5. Most shots are $3 too its great. The smell of horrible sewage back up fills the bar all the time which has stemmed from the men's bathroom for about 18 years. If you complain about the smell the bartender will spray air freshener around the bar for you which is a really nice service. It has an open patio where you can bring your drinks to and smoke cigs. All the bartenders are super nice and everyone is friendly. Its certainly the greatest bar on planet earth.

Good dive bar, cheap drinks. I would have given it four stars if the place wasn't so brightly lit.

I love dive bars, however the Dry Dock Inn only qualifies as a "Black Hole Bar"! Upon entry, this joint reeks from sewer gas. I stop in every "Blue Moon" to confirm this with amazement that this actually continues. Better yet, how the hell are the locals oblivious to this? Menu Please??! "I'm sorry". By definition, a "Black Hole Bar" is incorrect. A Black Hole prevents gravity and light from escaping. You can easily prevent this by opening any Dry Dock Inn exit door...ever so slowly...and run like hell!

This place is great! It is totally a dive and I wouldn't have it any other way. The people here are chill and the prices are good. I always knew this place as the bar that looked like a tent and apparently it has been around a while. On the Friday night that we were here pints of High Life were only 1.75, though even at that low price I could only choke one down. Domestic bottles were 2.50 and there were several shots on special for 2.00. The apple pie shot is really good and is misleadingly alcoholic. This is not a classy bar, and I probably wouldn't bring a first date here, but it is a great place to hang out with friends. There is popcorn for free, darts to play and plenty of space around the bar to sit and relax. The bartender is real cool, and she might just kick your ass if you get out of line!

The Dry Dock is one of those places where you get exactly what you expect. Beer and bar food with a friendly atmosphere. It's a great hidden local dive bar. Caveat, I've only been here for lunch during the week: I have no idea what it's like on Friday/Saturday nights. The prices are amazingly good (especially if you're used to downtown pricing) and the food is good. I reasonable selection of local beers to go along with your ubiquitous macros. It's not the cleanest place, but that's what makes it good.

Smells like sewage. I wish it didn't because otherwise, I like this dive bar in the burbs. The fiance's dad lives in Downers Grove, so everyone once in a while we go out with him for drinks in the area and Dry Dock Inn would be the perfect spot if the smell inside was not nauseating. Plus, they serve food! How can you eat food in this place with this stench? If you are going to order food from here (which I've heard is really good), please get take out. I can't wait until they rid themselves of the smell so I can come back and have food and drinks.

How did I end up here last night? I'm unsure really. The name alone sounds like a sexual act involving uncircumcision. Which we enjoyed, and laughed about. I'm sure that wasn't their intention. Alas, we are immature and enjoy making sexual jokes out of thin air regarding nothing. It's small. I hear this place is hopping on Friday nights since they have cheap drink specials and $1 tacos or something. Best to arrive in some old jeans and a tee. Don't bother getting dressed up, it's completely unnecessary. They have one darts thingy, an instant lotto machine, and a few golf/bags video game sorta setups. But it gets an a-okay from me because if you're super broke but would like to drink... Head out here! Blue Moons on tap are $3. I think my Tanqueray and Tonic was also $3. All I know is that my friend bought a round of drinks for 6 people total, and it was $16. Can't beat it. Sure it's not fancy. But it does the trick. Get plastered on cheap drinks and you won't notice it's a dive bar. And like I said, I hear it's packed on Fridays.
