The few times I've been to this location, the food tastes the same as the food served at the TP location. The food is good, but nothing special to write home about.

This is BY FAR the BEST Pepe's out there. The chips are phenomenal and so are the meals. I usually get stuffed steak tacos at Pepe's but the Crestwood location blows all of the surrounding locations out of the water! Best margaritas around too!

Yikes. I know this is a chain, but the good was bad. Out quesadillas tasted only like the butter they were cooked in. Plus pretty pricey for the quality. There are much better places around. With that being said, the chips and salsa were good and the waitress was friendly. However, she did charge us $8.00 for the "kids cheese quesadilla.

Back after about 6 weeks. More crowded this time. Service was very fast and efficient, but I did have to ask for the check. Carne Asada was excellent again and the flautas, tacos, and enchiladas as well as the chicken sopes were very good. Noticed that the rice has potatoes and carrots in it. Very good. The chips were warm and fresh. No more tricolored ones.

Decent less-than-authentic sit-down Mexican restaurant. We were lucky to have a friendly server recently, definitely added to the experience. Stopped in on the right day... $5 huge margarita Monday! 21oz drafts Negra Modelo were much the same. Tried their Veggie Burrito...different than most, employing grilled onions and green peppers inside; more of a fajita burrito. A nice change from the typical lettuce, tomato, onion, beans, and rice stuffed tortilla. My co-diners enchiladas, looked a bit off, but quiet were the complaints. Enchilada suizas were topped with an orange nacho cheese rather than your more common white swiss or other variety queso. Whatever works I suppose. Beans and rice were well-seasoned and cooked properly, chips were fresh, salsa was a tad watery but quality flavor nonetheless, and guac was better than most. A very pleasant dining experience, worthy of another visit.

Hands down the best Pepe's I've ever been to & possibly one of the best Mexican restaurants....first let me say the chips & salsa alone are enough to make me go back (I couldn't stop eating them). My dinner selection came out quickly, everything was correct, & tasted great. I will definitely go back.

Their chips and salsa are really good here..chips are always warm and the salsa has just the right amount of spice. I like their guacamole but I would add more onions and cilantro for more flavor. I usually order the carne asada tacos chicos, which comes with guac. It tastes so fresh! Yum! IIt's a small place, the service is friendly, the food is good--not as greasy as the food at other Mexican restaurants. There's a nice selection of food. Horchatas are a must...they don't taste like soap here like some places! :)

Best Guac in town! I recommend the stuffed guacamole tacos with guac on the side and extra guac to take home! To drink- A peach margarita! 1/2 price Mondays. WHOO!

I love this place - it's one of two of the best Pepe's locations in the Chicagoland area. The service is great and the food is delivered immediately!! From the tacos to the burritos, all the food is great! Friendly and inviting atmosphere! Great neighborhood place to grab food before going to the AMC Loews Theater in Crestwood!

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
