Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Okay, so some of you might not know that this place seriously has one of the BEST grilled chicken sandwiches around... seriously.. i know what you're thinking.. but Im for real.. I have only ordered it once (like they say, when in Rome) but everytime I go its all i can think about.... The queso is always delicious, the food always piping hot, and sometimes the service can be spotty, but oh well... I love this place.... It suprises me they dont have a bartender (maybe on the weekends they do) bc the Tequilas in So.Co the bar is ALWAYS packed full... The food is always fresh and if we're being real here, I almost always the beef nachos (boring, i know, but so good!) with sour cream... Ive had multiple things here and will continue to be a patron :)

Great food, terrible service. The past three times we have eaten here: 1st: My meal was received about 5 minutes later than the rest of the table and was incorrect. Another 15 minutes to correct the mistake. 2nd: My meal arrived 20 minutes after the other 3 people's at the table. 3rd:My girlfriend's food arrived 30 minutes after everyone else at our table because the waitress forgot to put her order in. We will never eat here again

So I ended up on a business trip to St. Louis on Cinco de Mayo and was dropped off at the hotel with no car. Lucky me - there was a Mexican restaurant in the plaza across the street and I am assuming it is the only Mexican place within 50 miles as there were crowds of people outside, an hour minimum wait for a table and you couldn't even see the bar in the corner inside. I had wanted a margarita to enjoy while waiting for my carryout but that definitely wasn't going to happen. It is VERY loud inside - music mostly but the people played a hand in it. I ordered chicken fajitas and guacamole and wasn't dissapointed - while they weren't Uncle Julio's quality, the price was half that of Uncle J's so nothing to complain about here! Would have liked to try a margarita ...

Food was good and I would give a better rating but the service was very unattentive!!! It almost seemed that I was in a self service restaurant....I tracked down the waiter to place my order- food was good as expected and was very quick to come out of the kitchen...first thing out I got a water instead of soda... Next-the server that brought our food was not our guy and did not bring plates for the nacho platter after we requested....so I searched for our server and requested plates and napkin....next my task was to find the server for our bill....after paying the bill we realized that we had not gotten an item we were charged....so now we have to find the server to correct the charges..... Ok so now the server ask if we could give him the change back he had given us earlier so that it would be easier on him to correct the error. REALLY!!!

Most expensive margarita mix ever. Next time I should bring my own tequila. The food was good as always.

This was the first time I had been in this Tequila's. I thought they were all the same. This place was so dark and it just did not feel right being in the place. My daughter was meeting me for dinner, I arrived first. I asked for the two glasses of water, white cheese to go with our chips. It took at least 10 minutes to get that, I knew it was going to be a long night. When the waitress got back to the table I ordered a margarita, I was uncertain when I would see her again. My daughter arrived and our waitress reappeared and still no drink. My daughter ordered a margarita, she produced her ID card and once again the waitress disappeared. This really bothered me, I did not want my daughter card to disappear as well. Finally, another 10 minutes drinks and ID card made its way to the table. We were busy talking and weren't all that hungry. We wanted to split an appetizer and entrée. Well, I guess this is frowned upon, it took a good 20 minutes for the food, and of course no extra plate, and napkins don't even think about it. Sadly, this is my first and last time I will be at this Tequila's.
