They might open at 4pm, but they start serving food at 5pm. I learned this the hard way, choosing the place specifically to eat bc a fellow Yelper said it had "Great Wings". Anyways, I ended up getting a beer, downing it and waiting for 5 to roll around. When it did there was a FLOCK of people ordering food. So I ordered the wings, which were $3.50, and were available in Mild, Hot or BBQ and came with a side of Ranch and 3 toasted pieces of small French bread. While the wings were definitely small, they were delicious and with the bread and free Ranch, were definitely worth the "whopping" $3.50 I was disappointed they didn't have Budweiser on tap so I went with Miller Light for $1.00 The bartender was nice but you could tell it was a local meetup place by its inhabitants. I'll keep visiting for the wings though!

It's a great hometown bar. It's rather small and I sensed a lot of regulars were in but it was nice. Food was good and pretty cheap. The service was lacking though and there was only one waitress for the whole place. Took awhile to get our food even though it was only deep fried stuff.

Best cook on Main St. Everything he makes is wonderful. He's off on Wednesday and Sunday. So tonight it's wings very yummy

Hurricane's is your hometown bar, plain and simple. Good beer, great staff, and good food. In my opinion it does not get much better than Hurricanes, I would gladly pick an evening here over some of the other choices. The inside has limited seating, however most evenings you can still find a table. Outside there is a small patio, which is a great way to spend an evening with friends. The food is good, my favorite place for wings, they are great. Be sure to check for the specials as they change out every day!

Love the atmosphere of Canes. Well mixed drinks. Friendly, fast service. Love the outdoor patio, too. Only suggestion: start taking credit/debit. It's 2014, and a lot of people don't carry cash. It's enough for me to skip over a place for not accepting cards.

Gotta agree with Brian M., great hometown bar. Forget Ruby Tuesday's, this is where you want to eat, excellent food. I feel I can say that with some confidence, being a fellow restaurant owner. They only have 4 taps at the bar, but I've never found there to be a time where I'd rather have a bottle. Check them out, but have patience if they're busy, there's only so much you can do with a small kitchen. Nonetheless, you'll be satisfied once your food finally does arrive. In the meantime, sit back, sip on a cool drink and enjoy Tim's (owner) playlist of solid songs that clash perfectly with the atmosphere. But beware if the chicks are working the jukebox, Brittany Spears and Beyonce is inevitable. Happy Eats my friends!

Tacos are good and cheap and paired with a reasonably priced Margarita with salt on the glass - it's a good time! The place is an average size for a dive bar but their different daily specials are pretty good. Hurricane's has been around since before my time and now has outdoor seating since you cannot smoke in bars in Illinois anymore.

Love this place! Great bar food, strong drinks. What more could you ask for! Always a good time and great people watching. Try the fish sandwich (both types).
