This place is unbelievably bad. Even on the first bad delivery experience from a restaurant we always give them the benefit of the doubt and try 1 or 2 more times. Ordered from here probably 3 times and every time it was the nastiest food I ever attempted to put in my mouth. The 3rd time we ordered was actually an accident because we thought we were ordering from Siam Treasure up on Harlem/Touhy. Woops! Both my wife and I threw our food in the garbage after eating half our dishes. Every time we've eaten here we have the worst stomach aches for the rest of the night. We keep a menu binder with menus from all around our area. We kept the menu from this place and wrote in Sharpie "DO NOT ORDER" on the front to remind us how bad it is. People who think this food is good must have pretty low standards for food.

Good, affordable, authentic Thai food. There is life west of Pulaski!

Just got my food and it sucked. I ordered from them before and it was good, not sure if they changed management or cooks.

Wonderful curry! I've never been disappointed by their dishes. Great little find!

I get their food delivered all the time. I LOVE this place. They're far from cheap but I've always been delighted by the food.

We didn't like Siam Taste Noodle that much. We go to Thai Aree House all the time. Much much better service and tasty food.

If I wasn't sick I would so be here...and I'm surprised by the negative reviews. But to each his or her own. This is a nice little neighborhood Thai restaurant. Gourmet? No. Out of this world delicious Thai? No. But I give 5 stars for what it is. My favorites are the pad thai and the tom kha and tom yum soups. Great chicken noodle soup substitutes. They really clear the sinuses. The appetizers are also fab. I love the shumai. They use a thick, brown sauce in a lot of the same dishes but that doesn't bother me because I looove it. It's owned by a family and they are always very nice and courteous. You can eat in (inside is pretty austere) but I've noticed a lot of people pick up or get delivery.

One thing I miss about living in Chicago is the excellent Thai places. This is one of my favorites and I try to eat there at least once every time I come to the city. Love their Yellow Curry Chicken
(5)Lorena J.
A husband and wife run this delicious place. Very kind and friendly. The food was delicious! Lots of flavor. We had the chicken pad se ewe, crab Rangoon, chicken satay and duck with rice. We honestly loved everything! So glad I live close by because we're about to become regulars. It's also nice that they have deals on yelp. Oh, and they have parking on the side. I hate paying for parking in Chicago so whenever a place provides parking, I'm appreciative. Check this place out; family businesses deserve to stay alive-especially when they work this hard to make quality food.

Took my daughter for lunch and was surprised how empty it was. At first had second thoughts about my decision. We ordered pot stickers (which were very delicious) and combo fried rice. I was very happy to see the fried rice wasn't loaded with soy sauce. I was very pleased about how all the food wasn't heavy and very light. Definitely will try more next time.

I just picked up my order and I'm so disappointed. Specifically because I ordered Mongolian beef and it's not Mongolian beef. I called the restaurant back thinking maybe they gave me the wrong item. This dish is with mushrooms, peppers and other vegetables stir fried together with some bland sauce. I was expecting a typical flavorful Mongolian beef that's dark and marinated but the owner said this is how they make it in their restaurant. I would like to suggest that they not call this what it's not. He offered me a credit for when I order Mongolian beef next time but why in the world would I order the same thing after complaining about it? I'll take a pass.

As many before me have stated, try to get the Groupon for this place to make your meal cheaper. Come on, we all know the cheaper the food the better it makes it! The restaurant just looked like your typical hole in the wall place. Nothing to extravagant and wasn't extremely decorated. Arrived with a "bigger party". 8 of us showed up for lunch with no reservations. The restaurant was pretty empty at 12:30. Sat down and started with some fried egg rolls and crab rangoons. Up until my move to Chicago, I had no idea that crab rangoons were such a staple to Thai cuisine. It seems that now everywhere I go in Chicago for Thai food, the first thing on mind is Thai Rangoon. Why is that? I just automatically assumed that anywhere that had crab rangoon was just a thai restaurant catered toward the "american" palette. Couple of my friends order Thai iced teas and thai iced coffee. I had warned them that Thai drinks are generally over the top sweet because that is just how they like it. Nonetheless they still ordered the drinks and they ended up leaving 3/4 of their drinks unfinished. Between the 8 of us we shared these dishes: 1.Pad Thai 2.Basil Chicken 3.Pad Seew 4.Green Curry 5.Tom Kha 6.Fried Rice 7.Chicken Satay General consensus on all dishes: Mediocre, decently "authentic" tasting thai food. I think what made it actually worth coming for was the groupon. Do I think i'll come again? Maybe only if there was a blizzard out and wanted something quick. I think there are much better thai places in the vicinity that I can stand behind!

We ate at Siam Taste Noddles located @ 4323 W Addison in Chicago. We found an offer on Groupon for $20 of food for $10. The place was absolutely empty. Nothing spectacular about the ambiance or the food. It was very average We ordered the Shrimp Tom Yum soup which was pretty good. The chicken satay and the peanut sauce were probably the worst I have ever eaten, bland and tasteless. The chicken pad Thai was decent Overall I would rate the following items as follows Shrimp Tom Yum Soup - 4.0/5.0 Chicken Satay & Peanut Sauce 1.0/5.0 Chicken Pad Thai - 4.0/5.0 - The blend of Pad Thai noodles, chicken and the crunch of The green & red cabbage and the fresh bean sprouts was a good mixture of flavors with the crunch of the cabbage & bean sprouts.

I've been going here since I was a kid. The food is great and authentic. It's run by a nice Thai family who really puts time and effort into their food. I love the Thai iced coffee- but be careful, it's sweet! Just how Thai drinks are supposed to be, yum. My favorite dish is the pad see-ew and panang chicken curry.. Plus lots of vegetarian dishes when I bring my veggie mom along. The best part of this place is the bill though.. Even without a groupon, it's very affordable for good Thai food. And that's good for broke college grads like me, haha. Will definitely keep going here, as it's one of my favorite Thai joints.

Came here with a Groupon and I am so happy to have discovered it! I am a huge fan of all asian food, and thai food happens to be high up on the list. My boyfriend who likes asian but had never really had thai is now a fan as well after eating here! The place is not at all fancy, but the food is amazing! They serve authentic Thai food that is fresh and delicious. I try crab ragoons at every place that offers them and these were some of the best I have ever had! Hot and crispy with a soft inside that was so smooth and creamy. My boyfriend and I also split the egg rolls - extremely tasty. We both got panang curry for our entree (his first time) and it was so good that I was sad when I realized I had finished the whole thing. And for people who said they were hungry after? How could you be? I felt extremely satisfied - not over stuffed (like Thanksgiving) but full and happy. I have become a long time customer and will most definitely be coming back for more of those crab ragoons and curry! yummmmmmmm For more pic/details check out: stellasout.com/tasy-thai…
(4)Christopher R.
Very authentic Thai food for incredibly fair prices!!! Not to mention that the food was AMAZING!!! Crab Ragoon appetizer is a MUST!!! Basically Addison and Pulaski and they have been thete for 19 yrs?! I pass this all the time and HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE??? Definitely returning more often...oh yeah...BYOB!!!! Woooooo. Not to mention they had a $12 for $24 Coupon on Yelp.
(4)Jose C.
This is what I have to say about the majority of the negative reviews: People eat a full meal and then complain that they leave hungry. No surprise, considering how much we Americans stuff our faces with food until we can barely move. This isn't meat and potatoes, it's Thai. And for you who complained and then said you'd go back to Panda Express or whatever squeaky clean McAsian restaurant you frequent - you know nothing about real Asian food. Panda Express is made for you sterile urban transplants. When you want to man up and eat food that brings the heat, come here. Until them, shaddap!
(5)Megan H.
I was always a defender of this place. It was very close to home, reasonably priced, and the food was decent (not great, but the price was right). You could also generally get a Groupon - so all around great deal. But no more! On my last visit there, the food was not hot, and tasted just sort of meh. Worst of all though, there was a BUG IN MY SOUP! Sorry Siam, but that was the last straw.
(1)tia r.
This place is horrible. Ive been 3 times only because i wanted to give this place a fair chance (since its so close to my home) The rice is consistently overcooked, the sauces are watered down and tasteless, the skimp on the shrimp in all the shrimp dishes, and the soups taste like something made from powder mixed with hot water. DO NOT WASTE IT TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!!!
(1)Rachael M.
I have such mixed feelings about Siam Taste Noodle! All of the food we ate was totally delicious, but it's the only time I've ever eaten a full meal at a restaurant and immediately been hungry enough to get another meal somewhere else. The ambiance is nothing to write home about. It's a straight up old-school oriental dive. When we visited, we were the only patrons in the restaurant, and service was friendly, but slow. We chose Siam Taste Noodle because they had a deal available on Yelp! and that deal made our meal affordable. I think that without the coupon, it would be a bit overpriced for what you get, especially considering that you're gonna need to eat again in a half hour.
(3)Stephen G.
I've been coming to this place for almost 20 years, and I don't understand where all the negativity comes from. Their Lord Noodles and Spicy Crazy Noodles are very good. Their lunch special is super cheap, and very filling. I also really love the chive dumplings and the potstickers. As for a majority of the haters, I don't understand why someone would order Mongolian Beef from a Thai restaurant... frankly, I don't know why it is on the menu. Stick to the classic Thai dishes, you can't go wrong.
(4)Anna R.
Easy to get to. Street and parking in the back. Very close to the Addison blue line. Friendly and attentive service. All our food came out very quickly. Siam Spring Rolls are big and plump. Fresh mint leaves and perfectly cooked shrimp. Sauce had great flavor. Tom Yum soup was very flavorful. We had the Chicken See Ew and Duck Basil. Both were really tasty; I couldn't decide which I liked best. We finished with the Taro Pearls in Coconut Cream. So good! If I wasn't so full I would have also tried the Sago and Black Bean in Coconut Cream. Priced well for the amount you get. My only suggestion is that it would have been nice to have Thai music playing in the background for ambience.
(4)Quan G.
What a gem! Love this cute little restaurant Everything is delicious ! Just warning, hot coffee is horrible tho. I ice coffee is awesome, according to a bunny next me!

Avoid this restaurant! The first and only time I went in, I purchased a groupon and then called for takeout. When I made it in, workers were very nice and the restaurant was immaculate. The man that was taking my money politely declined the groupon because it was done-in only. I happily paid full price for my two meal and one appetizer. The food was gross, the beef was grey and chewy, the sauces were bland and the only flavor that came through was from the mustard sauce I added to the meal. The next day I had the poops a few times for the first half of the day! I ate the second meal for lunch the next day, unaware that it was this specific food that made me squirt. I was in the bathroom a few times for the next morning as well. I still have my groupon and I am requesting they give me a refund because I never want to eat here again.

Holy suck, satan. I ordered from this place for the first and definitely last time ever. Crab rangoon= pretty decent Egg rolls= also, pretty decent. Tempura= I FOUND A LONG HAIR IN MY DISH. SERIOUSLY. Mongolian beef= If that's mongolian beef, I'm a chicken. Some shitty, overcooked meat in a lightly colored sauce. Tastes nothing like mongolian beef. Pad Se Ew= Essentially flavorless, and certainly lacking the sweet standard of the pad se ew I've had at every other restaurant on earth. Never ever again.

My husband and I went here after dropping off some stuff at the storage place across the street, and decided to try this place since it's just a couple of blocks from our new house. There is a funny smell when you first come in, and the decor is dated but that's what I expect from older home style ethnic restaurants, and I find it kinda charming. We were there during an off-peak time, around 3:00 on a weekend day, so it was pretty quiet. Our soup and crab rangoon came quickly, and were delicious. I had pad thai with tofu for my main dish, and I thought it delicious, better than most. The sauce was flavorful, there were ample peanuts, and fresh lime wedges were provided when I asked for them. Also, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and not overcooked like at most places. I completely disagree with the scathing review given to the pas thai by another poster. I think the owner was serving us, and he was very pleasant, and efficient. I definitely plan on eating here again.
(4)Emily H.
The food was an all-around disappointment. My party stopped in for lunch and decided to try the lunch special for $5.95. It was an entree, soup and an appetizer. - The soup tasted like hot garbage had been stewed in it. - The appetizers were hot on the outside and still ice cold on the inside. - The Pad Thai was made with thin cheap ramen noodles and had an oily, bitter flavor that no peanut crumbles or lime could stifle. The tofu was tough and fried, with strange tastes that made me think its addition was an afterthought or that it was salvaged from another meal entirely. - The curries were equally as off-putting or bland. No Kaffir lime leaves/lemon grass/sweet chilies had ever seen the inside of that kitchen. The service was swift and friendly, and the rice was ok. That's really all I can give kudos on. I really wanted to like this place. With the close proximity to the flavor juggernaut that is the Thai Aree Cafe, you'd think this corner joint would step up their food to compete. As it was, we only stopped into Siam Taste Noodle because it was a Monday and Aree was closed.

I was starving and decided to stop in and check this place out...BIG mistake !! As I walked in, I felt like i was suddenly in an old creepy Chinese restaurant, you know, the kind you see in the movies. Older gentleman with a horrible cough at the front took my order of pot stickers. Remember, I was starving and needed some sort of food in my stomach. Food came out rather quickly and went home to munch. Within an hour of stuffing my face with pot stickers, I was insanely sick. Won't be going back to try anything else, I've had my fair share.

I ordered from Siam Taste Noodle on 1/4/13 and was displeased with delivery service and food that I received. When ordering I was quoted a time frame of 45 minutes to 1 hour, and it ended up taking about an hour and a half. However, the timeliness of delivery isn't my biggest problem with my order. One of the items I ordered (Chicken Noodle Soup) was not delivered to me, and the entree that was delivered looked and tasted nothing like the Mongolian Beef that was ordered. Additionally, when asked how spicy I would like my entree, I specified "Medium," however, I could barely eat 2 bites of my food because it was so distastefully spicy. I will not be ordering from Siam Taste Noodle in the future.
(2)Nathaniel C.
Honestly tasty food but HORRIBLE service and a bit pricey. I could easily tell the waiter (and/or owner) got mad that I was using a Groupon, lol, who does that? His demeanor completely changed when I let him know I'd be paying with/redeeming a Groupon He made me order something else because it didn't add up to the full Groupon offer. He didn't come to the table after he brought our food and when my wife arrived to the restaraunt shortly after me (since she was meeting me up), He never brought her a plate or utensils, I had to get up and serve my wife with stuff from another table. Oh, and we shared a cup of water because the bogus guy didn't give a flying rat. For better service, walk next door to Thai Aree!
(1)Gerry D.
The pad Thai and panang curry were decent. I wouldn't go again
(3)Chuck W.
Just moved down the street and decided to pop in on Friday. Not sure what people's deal with the crab rangoon is... We had it, it was very good, and god forbid something be in a different shape than you're used to. I had the basil chicken and asked them to make it spicy. I'm sure they skimped on the spice a bit, since I'm a pretty average looking white dude, but the dish was still very flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the crazy noodles which she was equally pleased with. I'm not sure what the negative ratings are about. They prices were very reasonable and the food was very good.
(4)Aaron B.
Try the crispy padseeiw, you will never turn back.
(5)KT L.
This place has amazing food. Best crab rangoons and thai soup I have ever had. Don't be fooled by the hole in the wall appearance; the food is awesome, service is decent and that's all that really matters.
(4)Meghan O.
Yes I've been here. Pad Thai, awesome. Crab Rangoon, not so awesome. They have a great spread on the tables, so you never run out of peanuts, peanut sauce, & other such things you'd usually add to any thai food. Which is a huge plus for a girl like me. The place is bigger than it looks and its really quaint. I like it a lot. Go here, get the pad thai, it's good eats.
(4)Linda L.
Great food. Low key environment, decor could use an update.
(4)Michelle F.
I just didn't like the food here. Plain and simple. We ordered from Siam Taste Noodle one night for dinner and were pretty disappointed. For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Pot Stickers. The Pot Stickers were pretty good, but I really didn't care for the Crab Rangoon. Normally, Crab Rangoon is shaped into triangles, but at Siam Taste Noodle, they were shaped into little pouches. Because of this, I felt like they skimped on the filling, and there was an excess of fried dough. For an entree, I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and added shrimp. It really wasn't that good. I actually felt like it lacked flavor and was pretty bland. I really just didn't like it. We also ordered Chicken Fried Rice, and that was bland as well. To add to the situation, after our food was delivered, the delivery guy kept pocket dialing my phone, which was pretty annoying. I'm sure he didn't know he was doing it, but still! I know this place has received some pretty decent reviews on Yelp, but it's just not for me. I thought the food was bland and nothing special. I won't be eating here again.
(2)Nathan G.
While it is not the best Thai I've ever had, it is the best in the area and the prices are very competitive.
(4)Julie P.
There were two 10-inch long, skinny pieces of plastic in my food. I hate giving bad reviews, but these were serious choking hazards, in addition to being seriously gross.
(1)Scott P.
This place is creepy an smells funny. The pad thai was bland however the soup was good. Potstickers were the worst ive ever had. Small and cleary frozen.
(2)Lauren M.
THERE WERE ACTUAL DEAD BUGS FLOATING IN THE SAUCES ON THE TABLE. The owner brushed it off like no big deal. Hands down the most disgusting meal I've ever eaten.
(1)Megan M.
I went here once because Thai Aree House was closed. Eh, it wasn't very good. I ordered a Thai iced tea, and it was AWFUL! How do you mess up a Thai iced tea? I'm pretty sure they poured rotten heavy cream in it. I drank two sips and even had my friend try it - gross. The server was aleady unpleasant, so I didn't bother asking for another one or for it to be taken off the bill. The entree I had, panang noodles, was okay. Some of the noodles were way too hard and crunchy. I don't know why anyone would come here if Thai Aree House is open. Thai Aree House is a million times better in all respects.
(2)Jaime G.
Good neighborhood place. it's small and tucked in a corner but worth it. Really good prices. If you're around old Irvin park, a must try. All of their curries are good, esp their yellow curry with potatoes. Plus, it's byob which is part of the reason that they get 4 stars.
(4)Nancy S.
The shumai was tasty, especially with the homemade red sauce. Service was a bit slow but with only one person working the "front of the house" this was understandable. We each had a green curry - both chicken and beef were delicious with just the right amount of heat. Plenty of rice to soak up the soupy sauce. We ordered the Thai iced tea - just the right amount of sweetness. Couples at several tables had BYOB'd and wine glasses or water glasses were provided. Then a family was seated. The children were very well behaved; father ordered after asking who wanted what kind of meat. Their service was family style. Nice to see this example of learning about different foods with the server helping things along. No green tea ice cream but the coconut ice cream was a pleasant balm after the curry. Oh - we had a Groupon and made sure to do the 2 things I've learned - ordered so the total bill would be more than the coupon and tipped on the total bill. This is a storefront restaurant with minimal decor. We got one of the few parking spots along the other side of the sidewalk on Lowell. Entrance very hard to see from Addison. Now that we found it we will be back.
(4)Rudy M.
This is one of the best, home-style Thai restaurants in the city. Not fancy or frilly. Just good old-fashioned home-style dishes humbly served.
(5)Anton S.
The food is decent. Service is fine. But with Thai Aree House just around the corner, there really is no reason to come here unless Thai Aree is closed.
(3)Jesse M.
The food was pretty tasteless. Badly prepped and cooked too. The pot stickers were tasteless and really hard where pinched together. The crab ragoons were hard and had almost no filling. I have never seen fried rice like this. I don't even think it was fried. They put a lemon wedge in it which was a bit strange. It tasted really bad too. They were unable to make the angel wings and were also unable to refund the amount, so I got Chicken Pad Thai instead. This was the only thing that was somewhat good, but it was still lacking quite a bit compared to others in the area. There was a lemon wedge it this as well. Once again with many delivery orders, they don't understand the intercom system, so I have to come get it from them. This has come to be expected. I'm guessing not many buildings have a system like ours, but it would be nice to not have to do this. Anyway, this was mostly a waste of money and I will not be ordering from them again. I'll be looking to Hot Woks, Cool Sushi next time
(1)Xavier N.
Great food. Nothing fancy but loved that I felt at home. Great Pad Thai & Curry. I would skip the egg rolls, small and nothing special. Awesome Thai Coffe!! Would go again.
(4)Your M.
Yeah, just don't go here. I could continue writing a bad review but for the most part it would be a collaboration of all the 1 star reviews. Restaurant had a funny smell, should have just left. Food wasn't good, but it was cheap. If the other place is closed go somewhere else.
(1)Neal C.
Service was prompt, very nice, and lunch special w/ soup and appetizer was just 6.50. Unfortunately the food was just ok at best. Wontons were 95% fried dough and a smidgeon of chicken. Chicken soup was fine but pretty much broth with some veggies. Green curry was watery with little flavor and pad see ew was kinda mushy n greasy. Nothing inedible by any means, just not especially enjoyable. I feel bad writing this b/c they were really nice but I wouldn't recommend unless you've got a real need for cheap Thai.
(2)Esther L.
My coworkers and I order from this place for lunch and their noodles are ridiculously amazing. This is probably the best Lard Nar I've ever tasted. Make it spicy with shrimp, so good!
(4)N B.
The food here is very tasty. And they make it exactly the way I like it...spicy, spicy, spicy! I have their food delivered to me frequently, and the food arrives very fast. However, I had to knock off one star b/c there have been times that the food was not spicy no matter how much I emphasize it on the phone that I want it super super spicy. Plus they know me there now so they know my preferences. I had to call them up and tell them that they didn't make my food spicy. Also, there have been a few times I ordered a can of soda and they would forget to send it, although they made sure they put it on the receipt. And everytime I do get my soda, the can is very warm. And there were a couple times that by the time the food got to me, the sauce was leaking out of the box creating a huge mess. I had to call them about that, also. But I am a fan of thai food, and their food tastes authentic.
(4)Sal L.
Awesome! I must have passed this place up a thousand times. It's right off Addision & Milwaukee next to Degenberg Martial Arts place. After reading several other Yelp reviews, I decided to give this a try on a lazy Sunday. Don't expect anything fancy. Just a small little family business, but man is their pad thai great. I also had the Tom Khai soup. Reminded me of the Thai Lagoon when it first opened in West Bucktown. Just as good or even better. The prices are a little higher than I expected..ranging $7.35 and up for entrees, but the food is fresh.Definitely going back.
(4)jason e.
Oh I love this place so much. They don't mind making things fish sauce free for vegetarians, and the simplest dish is always fresh, tasty, very cheap, and presented well. My favorite of the half dozen area Thai restaurants. Extra points for the guys who deliver steaming hot food to me through 16 inches of snow!
(5)Melissa M.
But yeah, tried this place for the first time maybe a month ago (thank you Heather)....and it was clear-out-of-this-friggin-world. I love how things liiiiike....the yellow chicken curry I got actually had a LOVELY kick to it. And even if it didn't, it would still be DELICIOUS. But my friend got the....o crap crap what was it called...stupid sucky memory, but it WAS one of the specifically "spicy" ones...and I'll never forget the face their cat made when he gave her a little sniff. (takeout obviously) Poor kittie got the hint and didn't go near the bowl again. The dog got a little wee taste...and didn't beg the rest of that meal. (That would be because of the generous chili peppers that were visible across the table.) Refreshingly wuss-proof, (KIDDING, to each their own) unless it occurs to you to "just say no to spice" ..and problem solved. Tho if you don't like spice, you're prolly not going for Thai anyway...or maybe you are....whatever. But to save the best for last. The thai iced coffee. Usually I don't like those much cause they tend to be the Tooth-Rotting Sweet that will scare off even a sweet tooth like me. O but not this, mmmmm, it was heaven. If it were a person it would make me swoon. mmmmm.
(5)Erin J.
My friend has been bragging about this place for a long time. So we went. The dining room was empty and I suspect it usually is (I don't take this as a good sign). The Thai iced coffee was average - they're usually the same everywhere unless someone really screws it up. The fried rice was greasy. The noodles were greasy. Eating in a small empty dining room makes me uncomfortable - the staff either hovers or ignores you. I guess I could give it another chance but it's not likely because there are so many better Thai places out there.
(2)darrel h.
I didn't even know this place was here at first, but when the thai place around the corner was closed I just looked for the nearest restaurant. Turned out I loved it. Go with my girlfriend often now. It's our new place to go when we don't want to cook. Good lunch specials during the weekdays as well.
(4)Jennifer K.
Ate here the other night because most of the Thai places nearby were closed on a Monday or else they didn't deliver to us. Anyway, we ordered the chicken wontons which were delicious, egg rolls, and the combo fried rice and Pad Kee Mao. I thought all of the food was excellent. Portions were a tad small bu the prices were fair. And the food came in less than the time quoted-they said an hour and it must have arrived in like 20-30 minutes. Amazing. Will order from here again!
(4)Stella S.
Great little Thai place! Pretty sure it's BYOB as well. We love the shumai, the pad thai, and the coconut ice cream too! They do delivery as well, and they're pretty fast. Their lunch specials are inexpensive, and they always give you a whole bunch, so you always have leftovers.
(5)Amy J.
I love this place! It's a great restaurant in this neighborhood and the fact that they will deliver to Jefferson Park has been a lifesaver. I eat from here pretty often - the food is always really good and tasty and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lunch specials are a really good deal as well.
(5)Jennifer B.
I absolutely love Siam Taste Noodle. I stumbled upon it a few years ago while looking for a Thai place close to my neighborhood that could rival my favorite downtown Thai joint. I was completely hooked from the first time I ate there. In fact, even after I moved to the 'burbs for a short time, I'd still drive into the city to come here. The service is always great and friendly. The food is awesome. I generally get the Panang Curry or the Pad Thai, but I've tried other dishes as well and I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal there. I go to the restaurant a few times a month and I often order online for delivery, which is fast and friendly. I agree that the decor is a little much, but it's a small, intimate place and the food and staff make up for any negativity in that regard. I have turned several people onto the restaurant and I highly recommend it. Hell, it's worth the drive if you don't live nearby.

Our go-to Thai delivery joint. You know what you're getting -- solid Thai food -- and the people who run the place are wonderful. Not too many places deliver to the Portage Park 'hood, so this has been a lifesaver. Note: the panang curry noodles feature oddly crispy noodles that don't quite work; ask for soft wide noodles instead.

An unexpected gem in a city with a ton of relatively inexpensive, yummy thai food joints--Siam Taste Noodle is especially good! Their appetizers really stand out...crab rangoon, shumai, pot stickers. I eat Thai at least twice a week, and Siam stands out for quality and friendly service. Noodle dishes are the best!

When I moved to the Old Irving Park area 6 years ago, I needed to find a Thai place that will deliver to my new home. There were only a handful and I tried each and every one. I am so happy that I've found Siam Taste Noodle. They are one of my favorite Thai restaurant! I love their yummy Pad See Eiw! It is one of the best that I've ever had. I order this each and every time and it never disappoints. They have your typical selection of Thai food so You're bound to find your favorite here. They definitely don't skim on the meat and the prices are very reasonable. I've never eaten in there, so I have no comments about their dining room experience. As for the delivery, most of the time it came very quickly. On one occasion where they delivered someone else's order to us, and another time it took about an hour and a half's wait. The delivery guy was very apologetic about both incidents and the food was still hot. Bottom line: If you want delicious Thai food in the NW side, give these guy a try. You can't beat them in terms of price, selection and taste.

Good all-around family Thai restaurant. The Somtom, green papya salad is really good, everything else is good enough and the people who run it are super sweet- Sawadycrup!

I order out from here quite often and I've dine there a few time. On all occasions, great consistent and authentic Thai food with very friendly service. It's a mom-and-pop joint and definitely a diamond in a rough. You get a lot for your money and all their food is great! I recommend the thai chicken basil, tom yum, chicken satay, and their currys.

We ordered here for delivery about 2 weeks ago. Their pad thai was really good, as well as their ginger curry chicken w/ coconut sauce. The delivery time was a little slow, even with our apartment only about a mile away but still, the food was delicious. Ordering here when I get that urge to eat thai food again!

I freakin' love this place and have been going for the last.... wow, over ten years. They've remodeled, its a little classier now with the wood and they've upgraded the table cloths. My brother, sister and I would eat here a couple times a week as our mom worked a whole lot. Now I'm all grown up, moved back into the neighborhood and again eat here ALL the time. It's a cute family run place. The mom/grandma cooks. I think the son or uncle is the delivery guy. really cute. The curry is amazing. I always recommend the panang noodles. I'm a huge fan of the chive dumplings, I've only eaten better in Thailand, seriously. The noodle dishes are all amazing. I'd never eaten anything but tofu here as I'm a veggie but just was with someone that ordered a seafood/shrimp dish, which I'd ordinarily not do at a neighborhood place, but it was fantastic. I love this place for homemade straight up, good value Thai food. do it.

Pass by this little place thousands of time and always wanted to try it and yes I did! Its a little cozy, family owned restaurant...ordered the wings and shu mai appetizers. Portions are very small here btw. the shu mai was alright but my sisters wings had a piece of hair in it! Gross! It was fried into the breading of the wing. Now theres two options, leave out or examine every spoonful before eating. As hungry as we were, we decided to stay. I had the lad nar and my sister had the pad thai. Main entrees was okay, little bland and tasteless, light flavoring. Overall, wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I would go down a block on addison towards pulaski to manee thai. Prices are higher but worth the food and service!

Nothing that wow's my socks off, but good enough for 4 stars. There is nothing fancy here, just good thai that won't bust your budget.

I am so glad that I am in walking distance of this place. They have kick-ass thai food. My favorite things to order are the Siam spring rolls and the Pad sew ew (sp?). The place is small and family owned. Prices are very reasonable and when you call for delivery they're at your house within 1/2 hr.

So my boyfriend and I were on our way to the Thai Aree House, but unfortunately it was a Sunday, and when we got there, we realized that it was closed. Fortunately, we noticed a Thai place right behind it. I got the cashew chicken, and couldn't eat all of it. I felt sick about an hour later. I have a really sensitive stomach and a lot of things make me feel sick, and this was definitely one of those things that make me feel sick. I didn't really expect to see any great reviews, because we were the only people in the restaurant when we got there, and the service was okay, but it almost made me uncomfortable that we were the only people there. Anyway, now we know that if we want to try a new thai place, don't go on a Sunday.

I was reluctant to try this place out even though it it walking distance from my place. I have never seen more than a handful of tables filled here regardless of when I went by. Believe me when I say that I was really looking! It is a rather small place and somewhat run down but it was very cozy. It does have quite a bit of competition in the area as there are two other Thai restaurants within walking distance. As usual there were only about five tables filled counting us. i am thinking that it was the owner who was waiting on us or a relative of the owner. He was a very mild-mannered quiet guy but freindly. I ordered Pad Thai. It is what I always order at a Thai restaurant and it was very good. It had a nice blend of flavors and nothing was very overpowering. i liked it fine that way it was but the cool thing was that they have extra "stuff" on the tables if you wanted to add some additional "stuff" to your entree. I thought that this was a great idea. We left with happy and full bellies and with money left in our wallet. It was very satisfying. I am glad we made the decision to try this place out!

Gross and overpriced! $16 for itty bitty shumai and noodles with chicken?? I've passed by this placed many times as i have lived in the neighborhood for over 5 years and decided to give it a shot... HIGHLY disappointed. I had the Crazy Noodles with Chicken. It was slimey and just gross and had maybe 2 pieces of chicken in it.. i ordered the Shumai for my 4 yr old and she ate all 6 in maybe 6 min. thats how small they were. Oh and once i finished my meal, i went to the ladies room and whats in the garbage? 2 dead roaches. My search continues for a delicious Thai restaurant..

My family's go-to Thai place when we want delivery. The pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum, satay and fried rice are all decent. The delivery is usually pretty prompt and the minimum and charge isn't too out of this world. It helps they have a lot of specials for ordering as well. Not the greatest Thai, but it'll do if you need a fix.

Total bummer to have to write this follow-up for my previous review.... First, let me begin by saying that we are regulars at STN (take-out, dine in and delivery). Again, as I highlighted in my original review, this is no-frills dining but the food up to this point has been good and consistent. May I repeat - up to this point... So the other day we ordered a couple of our faves: tofu pad see eiw and shrimp tom kha. Delivery is usually quick and reliable so we had no reservations about ordering a little on the later side - the food (including the soup) usually comes piping hot regardless of the time of the order. Unfortunately that wasn't the case this time. The soup was lukewarm and tasted as if it had been watered down. But the worst part had to do with the pad see eiw. When my boyfriend opened up the container I thought it smelled "odd." He took a bite and then immediately spit it out. Upon examination we realized the broccoli had gone bad. It was literally rancid! We called the restaurant and let them know of our issues and the owner (I think he's the owner...the one who watches Thai movies at an uncomfortable volume in the restaurant) said he would write down our name and we would have a credit for a meal. Fast forward 2 weeks. We're finally over the broccoli incident and decide to give STN another shot (I mean, hey, we have a free meal coming, right?). Wrong. Well, at least according to the owner. We go the carry-out route and when my boyfriend goes to pick up the order he's told to pay the balance. Balance? What happened to the meal comp? The owner explained that the credit was for the noodles and not the soup. "But you gave us watered down soup and rotten broccoli and told us we had a free meal coming," my boyfriend explained. "No, just noodles," reiterated the owner. "And it's your fault the noodles taste bad, you ordered extra sauce." Um, pardon? The extra sauce from the pad see eiw was responsible for the rancid broccoli and watered down soup. Right. That makes so much sense. And here's the worst part. We get home and the pad see eiw is awful, just awful. I don't know if they're using a different grocer for produce, but it's disgusting. Needless to say, we're not going back. Ever. And I felt a moral obligation to my fellow Yelpers to follow up my previous review... *wipes tear from eye

I have driven and passed by this place for years. So I decided to finally give it a try. Good little Thai place. . Ordered the chicken pad Thai, its a favorite of mine. A great little place to enjoy a nice sit down meal. Great atmosphere and great service. I would definitely go back.

Just moved to the hood and we strolled in for some dinner. The Siam spring rolls were great as was my Pad Khee Mao and the wife's basil chicken. Solid spot for Thai.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What's wrong with you people? My roomie and I are trying to puke as I type. The food sucked. The only good part of the Siam Taste Noodle experience is that the lady taking my order over the phone was very courteous. I got Beef Lard Nar. This is supposed to be a tasty dish that's just drenched in thick gravy. What I got was pale shavings of beef in a soupy, light sauce that didn't have much taste. The noodles were overcooked and tasted burnt. My roomie got sweet and sour chicken. At first glance, it looked better than my dish. But I sampled a little of it, and the chicken tasted off. The sauce tasted something like... ohh... a sweet version of imitation Spaghetti-O's sauce. I hate puking, even when hung over, but I almost tried to puke this up. My tummy hurts. I need tums but am a bit too cold to venture out into the drizzle. *coughs* OH WAIT, I FORGOT. I'm not always negative. The Thai iced tea was awesome. It had a very strong taste and sweet base to it. I'd get that and just get something from Panda Express or something....

Love love love this place! The food is so affordable and quite delicious. The bathrooms are clean, service is nice, and they are on restaurant.com coupon! I love the pork fried rice (often substituted with tofu but tastes good either way), the pad see ew, the tom yum soup, the pad thai, and their thai ice coffee. As for low salt and low sugar on everything, that's what I do and it always tastes better. I love their tempura shrimps as well. Don't love the dumplings as much and the fried snapper entree was a pass, but everything else so far is delicious!!

My boyfriend and I like this place a lot. We have even walked the 3 miles from our house to it; versus going to Thai Spice which is much closer to our house but not quite as good. The fish with garlic was one of his favorites. And as a vegetarian, unlike another reviewer, I have never gotten meat in my dishes. I usually order pad kee mow (wide rice noodles) with tofu. I feel this place is very authentic and worth your own opinion.

Had the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Drunken Noodles. Both were good, but not great. Delivery was very quick. Portion sizes were adequate but certainly smaller than most Thai restaurants I have frequented.

I agree with Marlyn, UGH awful. I stopped here one late night a while ago with my boyfriend to catch a decent quick meal. What a disappointment, I cant even remember what we had, but it was disgusting. The meat didn't taste like it was supposed to taste, not even the same breed. Just weird. Took forever, and everything was bad from the flat soda, to the funky meat - BAD BAD BAD. Try Jasmine Rice on Narragansett or Amarinds (a little pricier and more foo~foo, but damn good) On North Ave, just west of Oak Park.

This is one of those places I keep going back to for the same thing. I love the chive dumplings and the garlic chicken! Vampires beware, this dish is a garlic lovers dream! lots of chopped garlic in a light brothy sauce which is what I like about it with a nice balance of chicken vs vegetables. This dish isn't made spicy so a bit of hot chili sauce will kick it up some. I keep wanting to try other menu items but I find it really hard to stray from thier garlic chicken. Also worth mentioning is that they are reasonably priced, and offer decent lunch specials along with coupons on thier flyers.
