Diabetics at Pizza Hut
Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.
Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:
You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.
Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I used Grubhub to order food from them and they took 1hr to call me after I placed the order letting me know that they didn't have a certain item. GrubHub then called me and informed me it would be another 20-30mins. Then 20 mins later they called me again to say they didn't have a 1L bottle of sparkling water. I asked them plain and simple why did you take this long to call me to tell me that you were out of something. Once you received the order you should've checked if you had all the items. I was thoroughly pissed and I asked the manager if they could possible do something and they said " well we don't really deliver so you should complain through GrubHub" smh. I've worked In hospitality for over 10 years and I know that is not the way to treat and angry customer. I usually never give negative reviews about restaurants but I felt that this situation definitely merited it. One a positive note the delivery guy was friendly

Had a work event here for 14 people - it was a perfect location (free street parking after 4 pm) and even though the restaurant was over half full - the overall noise volume was not an issue at all. We were able to have our business conversation with no issues. The food - I had the burrata and I would go back just for this! Milky and creamy and the perfect temperature. The pizza was delicious, too, with a nice thin crust and simple, tasty ingredients. BYOB is a huge plus!

This place is a hidden gem. Ive been here a handful of times and it never disappoints. You can watch your pizza being cooked which I love. I have tried most of the items they have and they are all tasty. The dessert comes out super fancy looking and a nice touch at the end of a meal. Its BYOB which is always a plus. They have a outdoor patio which is nice in the summer. I would only suggest they put some plants around the patio to block you from seeing the not so scenic road. I love the pictures on the walls and the music in the background. I have personally never seen this place busy so I find it nice to be one of the only ones in there with whoever I am with. It has a very warm & welcoming feeling. My fav is the "House oil" yum! We will continue to go here for dinners.

The Best Pizza! In my pursuit for the best Pizza lead me to pizzeria Del Mercato, I generally try a restaurant at least twice before writing a review., The margarita Pizza came to our table burning hot, first time I noticed, it was served on a wire mesh screen, our server Sandra, explained to us the reason not too let the pizza become soggy in the center it made sense. Most of the true Neapolitan pizza places have that issue with the pizza becoming soggy in the center. The Salad Del Mercato was crispy and the right temperature, served generously in a withe bowl The fagioli soup was excellent. Their Tiramissu was delicious, the server explained us that the desert are also made in house. Down to earth in the west loop, reasonable and BYOB, we also find out, they will start serving beer wine and liquor in January. Great restaurant

I love having another BYOB in the neighborhood. We went here pretty early on a Saturday night as we were not sure how busy they would be. It wasn't crowded but they did have a couple of large parties coming in when we were finishing up. We started with the Arugula salad. This was nice and light yet large enough for us to share. Next up we did a traditional Margherita Pizza- It was a nice thin/crispy Margherita Pizza, the ingredients were fresh and it tasted great. Thinking one pizza would not be enough we also ordered a Fuoco Pizza. While we actually didn't need the additional pizza we are glad we ordered it. It had fresh sausage and a hot pepper oil on it. It was fantastic and we will definitely be ordering this again next time. We had almost an entire pizza to take home but it was almost as good cold the next day. Even though we were not hungry, we did try the homemade Tiramisu. If we hadn't ordered the Tiramisu this would have been a 5 star review but I had to knock a star off for it. Let me start by saying that my husband still did enjoy this dessert but it is not a Tiramisu. Maybe it should be called something else. When I think of Tiramisu I think espresso and lady fingers. This looked like a parfait, the custard was very runny (maybe it just needed to set longer), I could barely taste the espresso flavor and the "cake" layer was very thin and at the bottom of the cup. Again, my husband enjoyed this dish and maybe I would have been ok with it as well if it was called another name. If you call it Tiramisu, I expect Tiramisu not some take on a pudding. Next time we will try the Nutella Pizza if we get dessert. Service was great. Very attentive and friendly. The owner was also very friendly as well. We look forward to coming back for more pizza soon and are glad to have them in the neighborhood!

I was around the neighborhood last Monday feeling hungry, saw pizzeria del mercato and decided to give it a try. Best decision !! My friend and I like to share so we ordered a mercato salad that had a really good vinaigrette dressing. Prosciutto pizza and over roasted vegetables which were AMAZING! Very clean flavors and perfectly cooked. We had a glass of wine each. And the bill came up really inexpensive! The server was really nice, and always there when we needed him. Definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Checked out this place with a meetup group, was pleasantly surprised, though it's really more of a 3.5* than 4*. Very laid back neighborhood joint, not too crowded. Love the pandora music streaming at conversation-friendly level. The pizza is thin crust but not neapolitan: none of that bubbly/charred rim or chewy rim, slightly more crispy and salty. Tried the bianca pizza and loved it: white sauce with mozzarella, mushrooms & basil. Group I went with also raved about their sandwiches, which were pockets made with the same pizza dough. Will have to try those next time. Ended with a red velvet cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. It was a bit too dense and sweet for my taste. Service was also very laid back, but the server checked in regularly to open more wine bottles. Come here if you like lingering at the table and don't like being rushed. It's also BYOB.
(4)M G.
Great service, nice ambiance and cozy. Wood oven pizza was great and generous, the margarita pizza was good, and the sausage had great flavor. Loved the chili infused olive oil, we also had a salad which was good but small and lacking for the price. We would return for pizza and will definitely watch for a groupon.
(3)Kelli K.
I had my wedding dinner here this past Saturday. They were amazing! I didn't ask them to do anything extra as they have me a really reasonable per person rate plus we had the entire restaurant. I walked in and she had setup the tables so beautifully. My new husband and I had our own beautiful table setting. She accommodated us by keeping our drinks in the cooler and on ice before the dinner. The place was Byob! So we saved thousands on a bar tab. The service was out if this world and the food was really good. My guests complimented me all night about what a great place I chose. It was perfect for 45 people and 10 kids. The lady that owns the place is so sweet and I felt like she was family after all she did for us. I recommend this place all around, for lunch, dinner, and parties it's amazing.
(5)Mare G.
It was the first 90 degree day in Chicago all summer and they didn't turn on their AC. How does one eat pizza in a restaurant with a clay oven blaring and the temp nearing triple digits? Service was poor and food was just ok. Can't believe these reviews - will not be returning.
(2)Allie G.
Wow. Amazing everything. Salads, apps, pizza, and dessert. All made with care and speciality. Excellent pricing as well. Will be going back over and over!
(5)Angelina K.
Great place . Superb pizza, I would recommend vegetarian pizza with artichoke , onion , mushrooms , basil , olives . Great food! Parking is a bit of a challenge though .
(5)Mara B.
This place is no longer BYOB. That made me a bit sad, simply because it was really nice to be able to bring a bottle that you'd know you'd like (because you had picked it) and enjoy an evening with great food. I'd be happier to continue going to this place if they charged a smaller $5 corking fee (rather than the $10 they are now charging) for each bottle (or 6-pack) and raised the price of the food $1 per item. As it stands, the food at this place is inexpensive, and it wouldn't hurt them to be a tad more costly. But, given that I was at the restaurant last night and it was absolutely quiet for a Saturday, I have a feeling that the change from BYOB may hurt them. I still love the food and the staff, but their wine list isn't great, and their beer selection isn't that great either, and if I'm going to have to pay $10 to drink a bottle of my own, I may not always think of this place as my go-spot.
(4)Jestine C.
Came here to see a small show at Revel. I ended up getting the margharita pizza and my wife got the chicken sandwhich. The portions are definitely sharing sizes! The pizza was delicious. A perfect combination of flavors. The sandwhich was huge but not messy and delicious!!! Would come here again next time I'm in the area. Also got the bruschetta. The tomatoes were perfect but the bread made it difficult to get big bites.
(5)Avi D.
Amazing wood fired pizza! Nice and quick service. Quirky decor. Great neighborhood restaurant. The pizzas and the sandwiches are both great. Very inexpensive as well. Only wish they were a Lil better located so they had more business.
(5)Mark G.
I really enjoyed this place. I stopped in based on a recommendation from a friend and to see about accommodating a lunch for my co-workers. The management and staff were very professional, friendly, and accommodating. We had about 15 people, so they set aside a corner for the restaurant for us and recommended a combination of salads and pizza for the group in advance. They set us with space for our BYOB drinks as well as glasses. They did a great job. The pizza itself is enough to come here. More Neapolitan style made in a wood fired oven. It's thin crust and chewy, with great fresh ingredients. The salads were also very fresh with flavorful dressings. Try this place. It's charming, laid back, and the service is accommodating. I'll be back, since it's right in my hood.
(5)Corey N.
I love this place. The food is fresh and tasty, the servers are nice, and it's BYOB. The pizza here is fantastic -- among the best thin crust in Chicago. The crust is nice and toothsome and the ingredients are super fresh. The tiramisu is surprisingly light and delicious (I believe that they have the same pastry chef as Carnivale), definitely save room. This may become a weekly destination for me. Yum.
(5)Lois A.
The food here is fantastic. The pizza is as good as it gets and the burrata was amazing with the lemony arugula and warm bread. I can not wait to come back and try more things on the menu. This pizza is as good as Coalfire and I love Coalfire. Service was great and parking is easy. The music playing was a little distracting and strange but I'll suffer through that for this food any day.
(5)Claire B.
Great experience both times we've gone. Just went on one of the few warm Saturday evenings we've had this spring. Parking was a non-issue and we had the patio to ourselves. Good value, Groupon or no: wonderful wood-roasted pizza, fresh ingredients, decent house wine, good service. Nice to have a quality option with so much less hassle than the nearby (great) restaurants on Randolph and Lake.
(5)Tammy L.
I was happy to finally try this place out. I went there with my husband and two friends and we enjoyed everything we tried--the burrata appetizer was good and fresh and the pizzas (quattro formaggi with added arugula and margherita) were both good. The pizza was not mind-blowing, but it was very good for a neighborhood place. We also had an order of bruschetta that tasted good, but I'd probably skip this one next time. They serve the tomato mix on the side of the pizza bread (probably to avoid sogginess, which I appreciate). But it was rather unremarkable, especially given that it's still tomato season. We tried the tiramisu, nutella pizza and warm brownie for dessert and all were good. This is not a destination restaurant, but a great BYO to have in the neighborhood when you want a relaxed dinner slightly away from the Randolph St. scene. I approve. We need more places like this in West Loop!
(4)Jason B.
This place was the best place to be on a super COLD Chicago day!! The pizza is amazing and so was the staff!! We had a great server and she made sure we were taken care of!! I have been here before and always been pleased...I will definitely recommend this place for its delicious food and dedicated staff! I can't wait to come back.
(5)Nancy K.
Great pizza. Ordered online, said that it would be done in 30 mins. 1 hr later they were just taking my pizza out. Not a big deal, but the staff wasn't too friendly except one lady who appeared to be the owner. I work near here so I might come back and give them another try.
(3)Za R.
Great service. Fresh & delicious Food. We keep coming back to dine. Tonight we had the bruschetta (we always order it) that was excellent, the Mercato salad was fresh and tasty. Their Fuoco pizza (sausage of the day) was delivered to our table hot from the oven. We ordered it without the hot pepper oil. Also they had a special of the day salad. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name but it had a ball of cheese on top of the greens and when you cut into the cheese which was firm on the outside, it oozed from the inside. Fantastic! Did I mention that our two granddaughters and their parents enjoyed it as well?
(5)Mr C.
Experience: The decor of the place is amazing. It looks newly remodeled and I have to say I'm impressed. I would like to come back for a dine in Food: I had a margerita pizza (split between two) and caprese salad. The food was good but wasnt very filling. The salad to me was pretty but had a basic taste. Nothing spectacular just 3 slices of tomatoe and some dressing. The pizza was good and tasty. They have some other special ones im going to try Price: For the amount of food you receive and money you pay, I feel this place is over priced. The food is good but I feel you should get what u pay for. The salad alone costs $7. You can tell me 3 slices of tomatoe and some toppings and dressing amount to that Overall: I like this place but I dont like think enjoy paying more money for less for. Granted the food is good. I feel like a restaurant should take pride in quantity as well as quantity
(3)Erika B.
This place is great. The first time I experienced it, we dined in. The service was good and the staff was very friendly, and it's BYOB which is nice. And the pizza - nothing short of amazing! Now ranking in my top 5 on my list of favorite city pizza. Today, we ordered from there and had it delivered to work; got 5 pizzas and a couple of different salads. Delivery was quick and everything was fantastic, again. I haven't had the sandwiches yet, or any soups, but there's no way they can miss the mark after the pizza and salads being that good. Will definitely make this a regular thing!
(5)Mike H.
Went with a group of 6 people and sat outside. We spent nearly 5 hours on their patio and the service was great! They were very patient and brought ice to help us chill our BYOB. The pizza was solid. Not the best Neapolitan pizza I've had in Chicago b/c the crust towards the middle of the pizza wasn't crisp enough. We also enjoyed the cheese appetizer and tiramisu. Some in the party really enjoyed the dessert. I thought it was above average but I wish it had more rum and less mascarpone. All around a very solid place for food and great service!
(4)Jay K.
I decided to try this place out after hearing it was BYOB and pretty close to downtown. When we walked in there on a Friday night there was surprisingly a lot of families with kids present. There was also a number of tables available which shocked me because of all the recent rave reviews and it being primetime Friday night. When we set down the menu offered many options all of which sounded delicious. We ordered a few items from the menu and the food was really good. Overall it was a great experience the food was good however it wasn't as memorable as some of its counterparts such as Spacca Napoli. I think it's a good option that is close to downtown, where parking is freely available, the prices are right, and the food is good. The BYOB is also enticing especially if you don't have last-minute plans on a Friday night and want to organize a group together.

Really liked this place. Good pizza , nice service. BYOB. Sat on the patio to enjoy the last few nice days of summer.
(5)Wendy S.
Great pizza and hot oil on the side. Soup and cheese platter was a great start! It's byob right now. Service was great also. Highly recommend a nice casual dare night place.
(5)Agnes F.
I love the pizza at Pizzeria Del Mercato and I also love the fact that they are BYO. The pizza is great and the service is friendly too; the best part is it's perfect for families with little children , a casual place but with great food. The only complaint I have is I wish they have a few more menu items.
(5)Cristina T.
I had heard several rave reviews from my family about Mercato and we decided to try it this weekend for lunch. It was surprisingly not as crowded as I thought it would be, especially since I just saw it in Chicago magazine. Service was friendly, quick, but not too rushed. We started with a delicious Caesar salad and ordered two pizzas, which was more than enough. The white pizza was great, especially the housemade sausage. We also ordered the prosciutto pizza that was topped with arugula. From the sauce to the crust, everything was fantastic. Mercato brought us back to the pizza we fell in love with in Italy. I would love to come back again for dinner, as I've heard the desserts are great as well.
(4)Danny F.
I ordered a bowl of chili and it was pretty good. Came with a fresh breadstick that complimented the chili very well. Ordered a pizza as well and that was great too.
(5)Rachael G.
Amazing place. Best "real" pizza I've had in Chicago. We went in the middle of the week, quite early for dinner, and it was very quiet. The service is excellent. Espresso to finish dinner was prepared correctly. I know everyone in Chicago loves BYOB, but I wish this place had a wine list with pairings for each of the pizzas.
(5)Josh T.
Super underrated pizza. Really great pizza and their sandwiches are awesome using the great bread made from their own dough. Prices are very reasonable and everything is very fresh. Go check this place out and avoid the hipsters :)
(4)Henry H.
This place has some of the best thin crust wood fired pizza. Good service and friendly owner. Byob too!
(5)Gerald H.
The thin crust pizza is beyond awesome. This new restaurant has an unique brick coal-fired Italian oven that creates delicious pizzas and paninos in a few minutes. I was so impressed after my first visit in returned with my family and then started taking my customers to Pizzeria del Mercato. Scrumptious. Appetizing. Tantalizing. Ambrose, the owner-chef, has a passion for his food and loves to demonstrate his culinary talents. I highly recommend Pizzeria del Mercato.
(5)JW H.
I really like this place. It's tucked away in a very industrial part of town and is a hidden gem. I've gone twice now and recommend the burrata and roasted veggies apps, the kale salad (it was a special so they might not have it every day), and the fuoco and margherita pizzas. The service has been good both times. We had our rowdy two-year-old with us both times and they were very friendly with him.
(4)Jeremy H.
This place has the best pizza in Chicago hands down. The thin crust is great and no need to bring up the deep dish discussion that most pizzerias in chicago serve. Deep dish is so not healthy and is like eating bread versus all the tasty ingredients that this pizza place offers. The prices are great and they have great healthy appetizers. It is also in a very up and coming area of fulton market area. Thus, still a secret. Also, they have a wood burning oven which makes the pizza even more delicious. The restaurant itself also has a great atmosphere and the people that work there provide great service. I go here all the time and have never been disappointed and have high expectations on what good pizza should be.
(5)A M.
Really loved this place. Went on a Saturday night with a group of 7. We sat outside and the food was PHENOM. The burrata was amazing, the chicken pizza & the nutella dessert. All slammin. Im not sure how this place stays open because it wasnt that busy, but trust me...it is worth a visit. Plus it is BYOB so our bill was so cheap for SO MUCH food. Will return for sure.
(5)Brie Z.
Delish! My new fave spot for wood oven Napolian za. Tried the Quattro Formaggi and Fuoco, both extremely tasty. Equal ratio of sauce, cheese, toppings which I prefer. The owners were also very friendly so I definitely recommend checking this spot out!
(5)Meg P.
- This place has a great (rotating) lunch special. A large sandwich on fresh baked pizza bread and a drink for less than $7. - The prosciutto sandwich is delicious. The fresh baked (in a coal fire oven) bread is the best part. It's warm and chewy and flav
(4)Russ S.
This place is amazing. Just had the best lunch sandwich ever. excellent quality everything, friendly service and good prices. Will be going here a lot in the future. Addition: They put too much butter in they sammiches

Whenever I hear of a near place with a WFO (wood fired oven) I admit I get a bit excited. Unfortunately, my excitement and decision to walk here from work to grab a quick bite with a coworker turned out to be a bust. First off, it's snugly within the West Loop neighborhood a few blocks west of all the trendy restaurants in the meat packing district. Decor is nice, but there is something weird with the booth seating. Just felt kind of weird... not comfortable, but not uncomfortable. Service was good with refilling the water... Only problem is that it took quite a while for food to come out. A good WFO should kick out a pizza in at most like 5 minutes IF there is very little heat and also depending on the type of pizza you're cooking. With Pizzeria Del Mercato the type looked to be classic Neapolitan which really should only be in the oven anywhere from 45-120 seconds. Counting all the people there before me (and didn't order) there were roughly 6 people. For a really slow lunch the pizzas should have been knocked out in at most 4 minutes per pizza. I noticed the fornino (oven person) tending the oven quite a bit (maybe it wasn't up to temp?), but not a lot of pizzas being put in. So yeah... bad going if you're trying to cater to a lunch crowd and especially if waits increase for dinner. The pizza itself is what disappoints me the most. It looked gorgeous, but the crust lacked a puffyness from good rise and fermentation. There was also quite a bit of crust.. I learned that the mozzerella is made fresh in house and I can say I enjoyed that part, but the sausage on my pizza was a bit dry. Back to the crust, it felt like either the dough was overworked or didn't have enough time to rest before use. Either way, the result is a flatter crust with more chew. The last part I would like to touch on is the charring of the pizza. It was actually a bit too blond. I didn't see any classic leoparding on the bottom of the pizza that is a good indication of a hot floor temp in a WFO and not much color on top. I saw the fornino dome my pizza where they lift the pizza up close to the dome of the oven where it's the hottest... it's essentially like putting the pizza under a broiler. I didn't think it was domed long enough though. Will I be back? Possibly... Right now they still need to work out the kinks.
(2)Tyler K.
The sandwich + soda special is a great deal and usually has good variety. I enjoy their caesar salad with chicken, though their chicken is notorious for being dry. I'm literally eating their caesar salad now, and while I want to return this I'm reluctant to walk through the -1 degree weather to do so. The chicken is so overcooked and dry it's sort of like jerky. Borderline inedible. Will never get the caesar salad again.
(2)Katherine S.
Looking for a quick, casual dinner and randomly came upon this place. What a pleasant surprise. The Caesar salad was wonderful and the Fuoco pizza was very authentic. We will definitely be back many times!
(5)Sam C.
went back and loved the pizza even more. it's never crowded enough where i need a reservation, which is nice. pizzas are still phenomenal, bianco was perfect. tried caprese salad again, this time it was good. the nutella pizza is really good, just wish they put more nutella on it. byob is great too. nice neighborhood place. just be careful sitting at some of the booths, they can be uncomfortable.
(4)Kristen S.
Delicious pizza, fast service, great prices. If you like spicy, get the hot pepper oil on the side for your pizza. I'll definitely be back!
(5)George H.
Went again last week. Can't beat the food and service.
(5)James A.
Great wood fired oven pizza with crisp crust. Excellent sandwiches served in crisp oven pockets made to order. Great find on Fulton and Racine.
(4)Lisa N.
Third time here. Really use to love this place which is why we chose it for a birthday dinner. We were here last nite for my best friends birthday. We made reservation for 14 n ended up with 18. Granted we only said 14 but to me if more people come then I figure more money for business n myself as a waitress. Well guess not.. The moment I walked in and the waitress had to add more seating to our table was the first hint of non friendliness. As the night progressed she didn't seem to get better. I thought maybe it's just me since I have worked as a waitress before and I have certain expectations. Well that was not the case. She was the talk of the table. We we're a pretty laid back group.. It wasn't like we were asking for much. I asked for glasses for water n it took her over 20 min. Then we ordered food n it was great BUT when we asked to order more she said let me check. Came back n told us the cook didn't want to make more. Never once were we asked if we wanted to order more food before kitchen closed. Which I actually told her when I placed order that I would order more once we got done with what we had already ordered. I then asked her when was last call for drinks.. Her response was I should've asked 15 mins ago. Idk it wasn't just her lack of attentiveness but her attitude n non friendliness was not what I expect when I come to a Restaurant to give them my business. She needs some major training on how to treat customers. A lot of the people here tonight were here for the first time n vowed not to return. Management should be concerned on how their customers are treated.

Holy COW! This place is amazing!!! My girlfriend and I found this little gem hidden on Fulton Market St. It is BYOB, and the food is great. The service was amazing, Joseph was fabulous and gave us great suggestions. I cant wait to take my husband back!
(5)Renee G.
Stumbled upon this place while looking for lunch in the neighborhood - like many of the reviews say, the bread is awesome and the sandwiches were memorable - we're headed there for pizza tonight because I was so impressed. The decor seems nice, too. Good find!
(5)David W.
What a fantastic spot. $5.75 for a huge roast beef sandwich and coke - the lunch special of the day. My parents got pizzas and those were outstanding also and reasonably priced. The music was spot on and the service was perfect. It's a really cool place - I'll definitely be back. Plus it's BYOB.
(5)Kristin S.
The two great pros to this pizzeria were the free street parking and the BYOB. The decor is also cute, but nothing to write home about. My boyfriend and I asked for recommendations from the waiter on his favorite pizzas and he suggested the Bianca. So we ordered that and a vegetarian pizza and popped open our bottle of wine to wait for our pizza. The Bianca came out first...and to my GREAT surprise this was a pizza with basically NO sauce. I had to drizzle olive oil that was at the table over the pizza to give it some sort of moisture so it wasn't just a baked piece of bread with mushrooms and sausage on it. It was incredibly strange and when I asked the waiter about it he indicated that yes, it was supposed to be a sauce-less pizza. I realize not all pizza's have red sauce and quite enjoy a white pizza myself, but NO sauce at all...no thanks. Oh and the "house made ricotta" on the pizza was basically nonexistent, perhaps that was the problem? The vegetarian pizza was fine, but not amazing. We checked this place out due to the review in Chicago Magazine and boy, was it a disappointment! There are PLENTY of better pizza places in Chicago, don't bother going here.
(2)Ashley C.
The staff at Pizzeria Del Mercato are always welcoming and really friendly. I love their house salad with grilled chicken; my go to for lunch!
(5)Andre M.
Easily one of the Top 5 Neapolitan pizzas in Chicago.... and this place cares. Most pizza joints send the pizza out on a pizza plate... these guys send it out on a wire screen so the crust won't become soggy when you are eating it. That's attention to detail... and the ingredients are top notch.
(5)CH R.
Amazing sandwiches, fast service, inexpensive menu, and right next to my office. The sandwiches are a must - like nothing I have had before. The wood burning brick oven is what does it I think. The bread is phenomenal, the meat is delicious and there is this mustard/mayo combo they put on each sandwich which is to die for. I call ahead and my sandwich is ready to pick up in 5-10 minutes. The sandwiches are around $8-$11 and they'll fill you up. But what you NEED to do is call ahead and ask for their lunch special. It's like $6 for a sandwich and it comes with a drink. Best deal in the West Loop. The roast beef sandwich is their sandwich special way too often though. This place is a hidden gem.
(5)Dan B.
This place has the best sandwiches. So far I have had the Italiano, Caprese and Pastrami. All were amazing. I'm excited to come back for the pizza. We carried a pizza out and ate at home. The pizza was good, but I want to try one hot out of the wood fired oven. BYOB is always nice. This is a great neighborhood place.
(5)Sybil M.
I came based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Perfect atmosphere for my family. The food was fresh and awesome. The service was great, once we got seated. We had to wait to get seated, which was mildly irritating, but the food and service after that made me forget about that part until I started writing this review! Definitely will go again!
(4)Dani R.
The space is real nice and open which I like a lot. I enjoy the windows. The pizza only comes in one size, which I am not crazy about. But we had 5 of their pizzas and they were all delicious. I went when it was BYOB and that makes it special because there is nothing better than your favorite beer with pizza.
(4)Shawna M.
An excellent addition to the neighborhood. The grilled vegetable appetizer is one of the best I've had. The pizza crust is thin but delicious. I've only had their veggie pizzas, the quatro fromaggi is consistently delicious, the bianca has been great and so-so on the two times I've had it (minus the sausage). If you want dessert skip the tiramisu and go for the Nutella pizza - I know, after having pizza you may not want something else that sounds similar but it is fantastic. I think this place can easily rival coalfire on a good day, and I always feel I've eaten a more substantive meal.
(4)Mark F.
I absolutely love this place. The hostess/owner is super nice. The servers are as low key and kind as they come. The pizza is brilliant, and the sandwiches are like something that my tastebuds have dreams about. Also - their salads are amazing, huge (i usually split one) and the greens are super fresh and tasty. What's not to love?! Incredibly reasonable too. Love love love. They also make a killer cappuccino.
(5)Maria Q.
I don't have single bad thing to say about my experiences here. The first time I came in I ordered a pizza and sandwich to go. The crust on the pizza tastes heavenly with the smoky flavor and crunchy texture from the wood oven and the sandwich bread was the freshest I've ever tasted. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The ingredients they use is the best in quality and this is a true artisan restaurant. Bravo!
(5)Aaron M.
Loved the service and the venue. Just off the beaten path, which I love. Ingredients are very fresh!
(5)Angel Q.
The service was great and the pizzas are amazing! We loved the family oriented atmosphere which is great considering that most restaurants in the Fulton Market and Randolph corridor are not family friendly. As a reminder, this place is BYOB.
(5)Doug A.
Excellent BYOB spot! Authentic Napolitano style, thin crust pizza! Had the Fuoco. Organic crust with fresh ingredients = great taste. Gelato for dessert was authentic and delicious! The owner Urbana was very nice and appreciative. Can't wait to go back!!
(5)Mo L.
I tried this place for lunch and wow! I was blown away with how fantastic the pizza crust was. They use it on their sandwiches, as well, and my sandwich was quite tasty. The service was great, the music was great and the food exceeded my expectations. I was also shocked at how reasonable the prices were - lunch for two for $20 and REAL, handmade food? Yes please! I will be going back soon.
(5)Megan M.
We stopped in for a late night dinner. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The hostess (owner?) was welcoming and clearly happy to be there. We had a tasty salad and tried two different pizzas. The four cheese was better than the sausage, but both were good. A light fluffy crust, healthy and fresh ingredients. Good flavors! Despite the uncomfortable booth and unflattering lighting, we will definitely be back.
(4)Jenny S.
Bruschetta is amazing! More like breadsticks :) A cool BYOB wood oven thin crust pizza place. Healthier pizza with fresh ingredients and local style. No deep dishes or true chicago style pizza but a good place to stop by if you're in the mood for a healthy pizza dinner.
(3)Jordan H.
Top notch pizza, friendly service. Don't let this hidden gem fall by the wayside - get in there and try something - I recommend both the prosciutto and the fuoco. BYOB, cozy interior - great for any night of the week.
(5)Courtney W.
I was at the restaurant a few weeks ago on a Thursday evening and we had excellent service. I really like a good BYOB and they didn't disappoint. Pizza had a light but crunchy thin crust with tasty toppings. we tried 3 different pizzas and had a hard time deciding which we liked best. I will go back for sure!
(4)Bob H.
Wood-fired pizzas star at this comfortable corner restaurant at the west end of the Fulton Market district. We tried two of the 12-inchers: Bianco, with sausage, mushrooms, basil, and two cheeses (no red sauce), and Proscuitto, which did have red sauce and was finished with a layer of fresh arugula. Both had chewy, slightly-charred crusts and a good balance of toppings to crust. Between two pizzas, the pair of salads we ordered, and an appetizer of roasted vegetables, it was a generous meal for three. BYO keeps the prices down. Staff friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
(4)H S.
Strange location but super friendly people here. The pizza was real good, not the best ever, but surely tasty and their arugula salad was quite good. I would give it a try
(4)Orelia L.
Wow, so excited to write about this amazing new pizzeria. Pizzas are very good, thin crust, they use their own special in-house dough. Fresh ingredients. Been there only couple of times, didn't get to try all their menu selections, but pizza, prosciutto sandwich and caprese salad were great.... fresh ingredients, perfect balance between quality and quantity. Staff was friendly, I love the ambiance and the open pizza oven. Will be back to try the rest of the menu!
(5)Andrew S.
Welcome to the neighborhood! Stopped by for lunch today with some coworkers and had a great experience. Friendly and fast service, delicious food. Glad to have another fantastic restaurant in the area.
(5)Steve C.
Finally, delivery...$2.00 delivery at that...
(4)Perry V.
Wow this is a great place! You have to experience this AMAZING thin crust pizza! It's totally gourmet! Every bite it is a variation cause its very skillfully topped and the crust is a great homemade tasting flavor slightly sour dough. To me it is now my standard for pizza! Everything I've had (been 3x now) has been wonderful! Salads are just so fresh tasting. My son (13) asked to go back again the week after we first checked it out. Check out the Tiramisu! Ambrose the head chef has it down! Everyone is super friendly. Highly recommended! WOW!!!
(5)meghan d.
It is tucked away but not to be missed. The mercato salad and arugula salads are both great. Very fresh and ample portions. We also had the fuoco pizza which is the best pizza I have had in a long time. BYOB to boot. We will definitely be back.
(5)Mary S.
Just ordered a caprese "salad" for $7 that wasn't a salad at all. It was three thin slices of tomato with three thin slices of mozzarella on top. Nothing else. How can they charge $7 for this when their lunch specials are usually $6 for a sandwich and a soda? I was expecting a salad that would at least somewhat slightly fill me up. This shouldn't even be in the "salad" menu. So now I find myself ordering another lunch from somewhere else after spending $7 already. Total crap. This place is so hit or miss with their food and this just pushed me over the edge. I'm done with this place. It takes them a half an hour to make your change for you when you pay in cash and no one ever seems to know how to run your card, so your pickup order sits there getting cold while the guy tries to track down a couple of dimes.
(1)Danielle B.
My boyfriend and I have been here twice now and it is absolutely delicious. The brick oven pizza is the best thin crust pizza I've had in town. (Originally from NY.) The sandwiches are also super delicious. It is made more like a foccacia sandwich. It is also byob, which makes for a fun date night.
(5)Kelley L.
Amazing Pizza and Sandwiches. Very nice wait staff. Reasonably priced. Fresh ingredients. BYOB - what more can you ask for! Great addition to the West Loop
(5)Laura A.
We really enjoyed the house-made sausage, mozzarella, and ricotta. The crust is hand-tossed and baked in a wood fire oven. It's clear that the owners value quality and simplicity in their ingredients; as opposed to other pizza places that try to transform a pizza into a Big Mac or a taco salad... I'm not opposed to eating a cheeseburger pizza, but pizza here is in a separate category; let's call it "rustic," "artisanal," or something along those lines. The ingredients pack a punch, so you don't need a ton of them. We tried the "Fuoco," that included their house sausage, hot chili oil, and delicious house cheeses. We also ordered the "Bianca," an olive oil based pizza featuring the house ricotta, sausage, and mushrooms, etc. For those who want more toppings, there are plenty of add-ons to choose from. We left very pleased, and, I might add, very full after ordering a second pizza that we could only begin to eat. I was impressed that the atmosphere felt relaxed but sophisticated due to decorative touches like upscale dining chairs, fresh floral arrangements in the windows, and an antique window installation. At my age I wouldn't usually consider going to a pizza place for a date, but I would definitely come back here for date night. Oh, and did I mention that the prices are totally reasonable? $11 or $12 for a 12in pizza. We will be back!
(5)jennifer f.
I pass restaurant every day and finally stopped in for dinner. The food and service was great. The fresh bread and crust was excellent. Really hope the place sticks around. The space is very nice. Don't let the location discourage you. Byob.
(4)H C.
Great food for a great buck! Simple, Fresh, & Tasty!
(5)Stefanie A.
Chicago needs more BYOBs that serve food as good as this. I've had their soups, salads, pizzas and desserts on a few different occasions. Great food, especially those pizzas. I believe there's no corkage fee, which is always a plus.
(5)Lori L.
This place has the perfect super thin pizza. And I love the hot chili oil on the table. Great salads and soups, too. It's no longer byob, but has great $5 house wines.
(5)Michael C.
This place is awesome! It's an inexpensive yet classy and comfortable italian pizza place. One thing that I enjoyed is how focused their menu is; it only takes a few minutes before you have a good idea of what you want to order. We started off with the burrata which was placed in the middle of a bed of arugula and prosciutto. The cheese was smooth and rich and the accompanying bread they use is perfect for dipping in their spicy olive oil. For pizzas, we ordered the neapoletan pizza and bianca pizza. I think it was my first time having anchovies and olives on a pizza, and it was bomb. The saltiness from the sardines and the punch from the olive make a damn good pizza. The bianca was a lot heavier and delicious as well, being extra cheesy, meaty, and filling. The dough here is crispy and at the same time chewy--I'm a fan. I can't give the service anything less than A+ because at around 9pm, my friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant. All in all, this is a really charming place that asserts itself among the other great restaurants in the west loop. It looks like they deliver too, so I know I'll be eating more of their pizza soon!
(5)Yabi C.
Great place with fresh, authentically italian ingredients. But Pizzeria Del Mercato could put a bit more into their green efforts. Positives: Their eat-in practices are really great. Everything is served on washable, reusable dish ware. They also offer recycling, but it seems to be limited to aluminum cans, last time I was there. Negatives: Their take-out orders are in no way responsible. They only have plastic to-go cups for beverages and depending on what you order, Pizzeria Del Mercato uses syrofoam or paper as the to-go container, and of course plastic utensils and a plastic bag to wrap it all up in. Please look into switching to biodegradable, plant based options for your to-go containers. Perhaps ask your customers if they need utensils at all, because most people are taking it to a loaction that has silverware anyhow, and think about switching your bag to paper instead of plastic to wrap it all in. These things would make Pizzeria Del Mercato just that much better. Because toxic styrofoam chemicals seeping into your customer's food is never very appetizing!
(2)Sylvia R.
We were looking for a good inexpensive pizza place for a quick bite on a Friday night and poof! Pizzeria Del Mercato popped up and changed our life! No reservation needed on a Friday night, cute place on Fulton Market and found parking out front! The pizza was out of this world! True Neapolitan style ready in 5 minutes. I had the Bianca & my bf had the Fuoco. The homemade sausage on the pizzas rocked, my white pizza was to die for. His was made with a great red sauce I'd gladly buy a bucket of to use on everything. The pizza crust is almost like a thin breadstick that I recommend saving and dipping in the spicy oil that is brought to your table. We want to go back and explore the salads that looked amazing and also to try the other pizzas. Our whole meal was only $30!! Talk about a bargain! They do have great wines but we passed on them.
(5)Carol K.
I was in the neighborhood and "jonesing" for some pizza so out came my Yelp app and up popped Pizzeria del Mercato. Where is this place, I thought as I started walking west on Fulton? Have I seen it before and just not noticed it? For it sits at Racine and Fulton which seems like it should be a busy corner but it really wasn't. But no problem. The lights were on and they were open so all was good. This place is cute inside- much nicer than I thought it was going to be. And while people are lamenting the lack of BYOB, I, for one, was thrilled that I could get a glass of wine to go with my pizza as we almost went someplace else cuz we wanted a drink. On this Thursday night, while they were doing a pretty good takeout business, my friend and I were the only two people in the place. Well you know we were in for excellent service as the only table, and that was the case! We ordered simply, a salad and a pizza and some red wine. The salad was basic although I did like that they put some dried cranberries on it which gave it a sweet taste. For $7 plenty to share for two. And while our pizza was simple in nature, it hit the spot and must have been delicious as there wasn't any left over to take home. Dinner for two with a couple of glasses of wine ran about $39. I'm a bit of a pizza snob so while this place was good, my favorite pizza place is still elsewhere in the city. But it'll do in a pinch when I'm in that neck of the woods!
(4)Priscilla A.
*I've only had their take out* But each time, their pizza has been perfection. I need to eat here soon. Now, I LOVE pizza. It's disgusting how many times a week I could eat pizza. But pizza don't love me back...at least not my waist. So when I crave pizza, but don't want deep dish or even thin crust from other pizza places and want a "healthier" if not "guilt free" option, Pizzeria Del Mercato is my absolute favorite. Ingredients are fresh, their balance of cheese, toppings and sauce are on fleek! At first glance, the size of the pizza doesn't look too big. But it's surprising how filling it really is. Omg, just talking about this pizza is making me hungry. Definitely put this on your must-try list!
(5)Andrew D.
Had heard nothing but good things about this place from amigos who live in the West Loop, so buying the Groupon was a no-brainer. Hell, buying a Groupon for places with 4+ Yelp stars is always a no-brainer! I was not disappointed. To begin, the service was excellent. Our server gladly split the antipasti plates with meat and cheese for a combo plate as an appetizer. The fresh Italian meats and cheeses were delicious. The homemade giardiniera was bomb! We then ordered the Pizza Bianca (server recommendation) which was incredible! Great balance of dough, cheese, and toppings. Not much else near it, but a great spot for a quiet, lazy date night! Will be back to try the other pizza offerings.
(4)Sadia H.
We had the Quattro Formaggi which wasn't that great because of the ricotta. The Neapolitan pizza was better. Two pizzas for two people is too much food. Take one pizza and share between two people.
(3)Andrew H.
Excellent Pizza! Great neighborhood spot
(5)Evan C.
Great place!!! I came here for dinner a couple days back. We basically had the entire restaurant to ourselves since it was one of the coldest days of the year so far. To start, the restaurant has a great vibe to it and smelled amazing when I walked in. This place is still BYOB, but they charge a corking fee of $10 now. I asked the reason why they changed and they said that there wasn't a place to buy wine or beer close by. (which is true) A glass of wine or a beer is only about $5, so this is still an amazing deal. We started with the burrata salad which came with prosciutto and warm bread. So delicious! Now on to the pizza... AMAZING! We got the Pizza Fuoco (spicy sausage). They make everything fresh here. Homemade sauce, dough and they buy locally for the sausage. We finished it off with a Nutella pizza that I was way too stuffed to eat, but I did anyways. Great place minus the change up in BYOB and location for people who don't live in West Loop. I will definitely be back. Once the Google. building is finished this will be a lunch spot for everyone.
(5)Meredith K.
I think this is what you'd call a hidden gem. As per the other reviews, it seems pretty empty in there. I assume that's due to the location. Although its easy parking! I had the deal where you get a starter and a pizza. We opted for the burrata salad which is served w/ warm bread. Outstanding! The dressing was not too heavy, not to tart, not to sour. Just great. And fresh cheese is always a hit. I loved the little bread that you get with it. Then we got the veggie pizza. Its very good with not too much or too little of anything. The service is very friendly and prompt. And you feel comfortable and very clean in there. I would definitely come back. We were eying the sandwiches which looked amazing. I bet their other Italian dishes are good too.
(5)Dalia M.
I like this little find a lot. We made reservations for Saturday night but upon arriving, realized it's a super casual spot. We were dressed up for the plans after dinner but whatever! Regardless, we enjoyed our meal here. PROs: Price: we ate an appetizer, split a pizza and had dessert for $30 for two. When does that happen in Chicago? Good: loved it all - bruschetta, pizza with several toppings, chocolate gelato Service: nice and quick BYOB: saves you a bunch of money! CONs: Ambience: it could use some better decor and lighting. Perhaps dimming the beverage fridge lights could help. It's a clean space but could be warmed up a bit. Location: was with my bf so I wasn't super sketched out but when we were searching for parking we definitely saw some questionable guys. Plus it's dark and not well lit. We love pizza so I'll be back. And they deliver!

YUMMY!!! I'd been meaning to come here for while and finally did. Missed out on the Groupon deal though. The only reason why this place was empty on a Saturday night is because it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere - though it isn't. It's on Fulton and Racine. But there aren't many other open businesses in the area or at least ones that are visible. Very fresh thin crust pizza I recommend all except for the nutella dessert pizza which didn't have much nutella on it so it was dry. I say stick with the pizza. The Caesar dressing on our salad was very fishy so I didn't eat it. Then the shaved Brussels sprout salad was literally that, but raw so wasn't all that tasty. FYI, they are no longer BYOB but the wine is inexpensive so I myself had a bottle which explains the major headache I woke up to in the middle of the night!

Came here with a Groupon on a random weekday after my boyfriend and I got a craving for some pizza. First bonus was free parking! The restaurant was not at all busy (there were only two other customers) so we had the place almost to ourselves. The deal was for one appetizer and one pizza for two. We ordered the burrata for our appetizer which was not on their online menu (yes I am one of those freaks who looks at the menu before I go), but it was excellent! The burrata came with arugula, tomatoes, and prosciutto and was the perfect way to start the meal. Each appetizer also comes with fresh baked pizza bread. It was still warm from the oven and a great compliment to our burrata. For our pizza we went with the Pollo, which came with tomatoes sauce, chicken, mozzarella, and bell peppers. Every pizza is topped with fresh basil. It was awesome! Their wood-burning oven gave the pizza the perfect amount of crunch and the toppings were perfect! I definitely plan on coming back for their happy hour for $6 margherita pizza! They are also BYOB. For pics and more details visit: stellasout.com/loving-wo…

Don't walk here alone at night- you'll think someone is going to stuff you into one of the open meat trucks and skewer you. But to use a groupon, I braved it, and met a friend out. I made him walk me back. We ordered the bruschetta as our shared app and it wasn't your typical presentation. Breadsticks and dipping sauce was what it looked like, and yet bruschetta isn't really dippable. It was tasty enough, but nothing special. We then shared a 4 cheese pizza, which only comes in one size, by the way, and again, tasty, but nothing special. The service was friendly and the prices are super reasonable, but I've definitely had better, more craveable pizza.

I came here last night after purchasing a Groupon. The Groupon included one app (or salad) and any pizza for $16. Pretty cheap right? Oh, HUGE PLUS - IT'S BYOB. YAY! The dinner itself was good. We went with the Burrata for starters, which was served over arugula, tomatos and prosciutto and also included warm, crispy bread from the oven. It was delish! For pizza, we ordered the Bianca, which is a FABULOUS white pizza served with sausage, 'shrooms, oil and more. It was really good and we finished every bite. Honestly, I could have eaten more... This is sad I know, but I understand this is more of a personal problem than the pizza size itself :P Ok, so you're probably wondering why I'm giving this review only 3 stars if I enjoyed the food so much. Well, that's simply because of the ambiance and the dessert. Ambiance - small, cozy, cute. BUT, both of the entrance doors were left open throughout the night so that gave way for the flies to come in! And not just the flies, there was a giant WASP that hovered over our table for a good portion of the night. SCARYTOWN! I had to keep my eye on it the entire time to make sure it didn't go after my man. Also, the music was super varied. At times, I didn't know if it was 2005 or if I was actually at Pepe's. This is a pizza joint, can we get some tunes from the old country? Dessert - yiiiikes. I'm a gelato fiend so I was happy when I saw that offered as an option. This "chocolate" flavored whatever-it-was is an insult to the beautiful name of gelato. It was more like a freezer burned fudge pop that actually resemebled pull pork upon first glance. mmhmmm true story. So, Pizzeria Del Mercato is doing it right with the food, but maybe next time we will just stay home and order it in to avoid killer death bugs and bad music.

I dined at Pizzeria Del Mercato with a group of about 10 people. They were very accomodating over the phone (for a Sat night at 830pm). Our table was ready when we got there. It's BYOB so how can you go wrong! Our waitress really wasn't the friendliest and we almost felt like we were inconveniencing her by asking for glasses, a bucket of ice to keep the beer cold, etc. Things that should have just been brought without having to ask. The pizza was good overall and for the price it can't be beat. Also their sandwiches were pretty tasty. Good points: price & BYOB. Not so good points: service isn't very fast or friendly Terrible point: They didn't have the AC on or it wasn't working. It was probably 85 degrees in there and makes for a terrible atmosphere to eat pizza. We were literally sweating while eating - GROSS! Get your AC on in the summer PDM!!!!

As a group we tried 4-5 pizzas and they were all amazing! Service was ok but we were full and satisfied at the end of the day! BYOB. That's a plus.

Pretty tasty, light pizza for fair prices, but they are no longer BYO (as of 1/2015). Lots of space and the place is empty early evenings, perfect for kids. We tried one of the base pies with arugula and proscuitto on top; great crust, fresh toppings, but the arugula was a little weak. The bruschetta was tasty but the way the tomato topping was served was a fail. Sodas are a buck, you can slide out of here for $20 pretty easily! Service was great and they didn't lurk near our table, even though my wife and daughter joined me and almost no one else for dinner last Wednesday night. I'll certainly buy the deal again when it comes around via Groupon.

Great lunch place - inexpensive, but much better food than some higher end pizza places in the city!

I really enjoyed the thin crust pizza here. We had the Fuoco and my picky daughter approved. For the price point, you can't go wrong with giving them a shot. It also happens that they are on Groupon as well. I lucked out reading a review below as I was on my way here and searched them on Groupon. $$ saved but even without, the prices are very reasonable. FYI: They still do BYOB but they charge a $10 corkage fee. The ambience wasn't the trendiest but I came for the pizza and it didn't disappoint. My daughter and I was with my bf and it was so cold that I didn't notice the sketchiness of the location. It is a bit on the other side of Carnivale and the Publican though.

Great pizza and it's byob!

The happy hour specials are the best. But even if you can't be there for them, the food and atmosphere is still great at other times. It's got a laid back vibe that borders on hipster, but not overly so. The pizzas were the great and the chili and soup were good.

So so so fresh!! The food is as if you were in Italy! !! You must order the pasta fagiole soup. It was so good I ordered some to go for lunch the next day. Oh and the brussel sprout salad. I haven't even told you about the deliciously fresh wood oven pizza yet.

The best original style pizza I've had yet in Chicago. It's brick oven fired pizza and it really hits the spot. I've been looking for a place like this since moving here and this is it. All the pizzas are personal size but you could probably share it for 2 people. The Bianca was delicious and perfectly cooked. Everyone else said they love this place and the sandwiches looked quite large for the price. The price is what really surprised me. It may be the location but the pricing is quite moderate. This is one of the best meals I've had in Chicago at this price. I wish they had a make your own pizza but I can't argue with what they offer, it all comes out really well. Your money goes far here and you won't be disappointed with the pizza.

My favorite west loop lunch spot during the week. Arugula salad with the lemon mustard dressing is the best! Add chicken and a side baguette and you'll be a very happy camper. Bonus: super fast take out delivery pick up
