This is an awesome hole in the wall kind of place to stop and get a beer and dinner. Very laid back. Awesome specials. Specials like a chicken sandwich or burger for $3.50. And get this...I did not feel like I'd swallowed a grease bomb after eating here which is often the problem at places with specials that seem too good to be true. Very friendly service. Easy parking. Very glad I found this place. I really loved all the old pictures on the walls.

Beer nuggets = still amazing. Fish fry = still the best in Lincoln Park. MAC AND CHEESE = still the closest I'll ever get to Heaven in my lifetime. Brunch skillet = where the party is at. All of this "technical" stuff aside, Sarah is a Goddess amongst mere mortals. Love her to pieces. You'll never get more "down home, neighborhoodly" service in Lincoln Park than with her. She's the reason I have to go to Patsy's for Sunday brunch EVERY Sunday, Church or not. Don't tell my Catholic Grandma, though: church always comes first -- never Patsy's and their delicious bloody marys. Still lovin' Patsy's.

Veeeeeery nice place! The barman is extremely amiable! He allowed us to come and order even before they opened a bar. Also they have a free jukebox - the fact I liked most! And the atmosphere is very cozy!

We went to patsy's on a Friday night. It wasn't too crowded. We grabbed some bar stools and hung out for a few pints. I'm giving patsy's one star because of the food. All of the food we ordered: quesadillas, fries, and them beer nuggets came out cold. I said something to the bartender, he apologized and didn't charge us for one of the plates. Three plates of cold food is absolutely unacceptable and is an automatic 1 star. It doesn't matter from what direction you travel. You are passing better bars if you are making your way out to Patsy's.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday for their mimosa brunch special. It was $22.95 for an entree and mimosa. I love the place! It had that nice local neighborhood restaurant feel to it. The employees were really nice and made sure the customers had that awesome customer service. The mimosas were filled up right away and they were generous about the alcohol content, as well. The food was decent. Honestly, I just went for the mimosas. Definitely would recommend this place to everybody for the Sunday brunch.

Great food. Impeccable service. Welcoming atmosphere! We were the first ones in for brunch on a Saturday morning. Maggie and Brian took great care of us. Best skillet's in Chicago, especially the hashbrowns. Will definitely come back!

This place is great: there is always a place to sit, consistently great food (fries and wings are some of the best ever) and super friendly bartenders. There are good specials during the week and an outdoor eating area if you feel like eating outside. I pass three other bars to eat here because it's the best in the neighborhood.

had to come back for the wing night. got 15 cajun dry run and 10 buffalo with an order of fries and split with my fiance. we were both pleased (will try something else besides buffalo with the dry rub next time - wasnt a very good combination). the wings were delicious. i wish they had a better beer special to go with their wings but i guess beggars cant be choosers?

Went here on a wing crawl with some friends so my review is limited to wings, beer, service and atmosphere. First let's start with wings. While our quest was to find the best basic buffalo wing, I have to admit hands down, the BEST wing of the 10 varieties we had throughout the day came from Patsy's. The Cajun Wings are hands down the best wing I've ever had. Period. Fried "naked" and then tossed with this Cajun dry rub and served with blue cheese? So good. So, so good. In fact they were so good, I forgot we were on a basic wing crawl so I think I had a regular buffalo wing but became obsessed with the Cajun Wings and forgot if the Buffalo ones were good. Looking back at my notes, they were. Yes we take notes. We also had some BBQ wings which were also quite tasty. Tangy BBQ sauce and a winner as well. Did I mention the Cajun Wings? No? I did? OK. Beer selection was quite varied which I appreciate. Sometime when you're having wings, you want a PBR and sometimes a local microbrew. You can get both here which should please the entire crowd. But the highlight of the place is the service. If you happen to find yourself here, hope and pray you get Tony. Great guy, super friendly, interested in the crawl, and shared with us the tastes behind each wing. You cannot underestimate great service and Tony delivered. When you're going out to have a good time and you get a wet blanket server, it kinda ruins your good time. Not with Tony. I'm betting if he didn't have to work, he would have made a great addition to our insanity. And he gave us free shots to boot. This is a guy who knows how to play to his audience. The place is small, but makes a perfect "hole in the wall" kinda place when you're out in the middle of the afternoon and looking to down a few pints with your friends. I will definitely be back for those wings!

This was a place I walked by all the time, and finally stopped in for a drink with the girl. We ended up hanging out there, ordering apps and dinner, and had some friends meet us after. Food much better than expected and the bartender/waiter/busboy/manager was very helpful and personable. Their daily food specials are great deals too. Also, I'd recommended chillin out on their patio once the weather is nice.

This place is cozy and feels like a friend's living room. Don't let the small quarters fool you. Food is awesome and great brunch deals! Devon was our server and he really knows how to make sure his customers leave full and buzzed. :-)

Awesome joint. Great music and grub. Our waiter and bartender Devan served up great recommendations. Pulled pork was smokey but also sweet and the battered fries... Break that diet, they're worth it.

The service was very friendly. The food is not the quickest to come out but it is worth the wait. Hard to find a bar that does the simple food really well. They have great weekly specials. My suggestion to them would be more of a beer selection.

I brought some dudes with me on a Friday right after work to use a groupon and get some grub before a show. We got Guinness and I was pleasantly surprised to see the bartender do a proper double pour and waiting for it to settle before serving it in clean, Guinness-printed glasses. Cheers! I ordered us the beer nuggets, based on the yelp recommendations, and they came out warm and crispy with some cheese and marinara dipping sauces. Not my super duper fave, but they were good and a great starter before feasting on our sandwiches. The dudes got burgers, I got the pork sandwich, again, based on all the great recs here on yelp. My sandwich being messy, I opted to eat it with a fork and without the top bun. Delicious. Smoky, good bbq sauce. Definitely enjoyable. And I love any place that offers a tater tot option. Mmmmm tots. The dudes seemed to enjoy their burgers as well. It still being early on a Friday, the music wasn't too loud and they had the Bulls game on. We were able to have a normal conversation and appreciated the attentive service. The three of us agreed that Patsy's was a place to come back to.

Patsy's Place gave me one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I had the pleasure of trying Patsy's for the first time only because of the Yelp reviews it had gotten. Three friends of mine joined me for brunch one Saturday a few weeks ago. $14.95 bottomless Mimosas $5.95-$8.95 brunch entrees I ordered a skillet and had more than enough food for breakfast. That day they were running a $5.95 brunch special with any drink and we all of course did "bottomless mimosas" because that's what kind of day we wanted. The mimosas start coming out and Chris, the nicest, most professionally courteous server/bartender I have ever been waited on by took great care of our group. He started bringing them by the pitcher to avoid complication and that sat very well with us. Chris was so attentive and hard-working that there wasn't one time when we needed to request waters or mimosas or ketchup or ANYTHING! The service was just outstanding. Good jukebox. Great mimosas. Excellent food. Impeccable service.
(5)
Jessica F.
The food here is great. The atmosphere was meh though, I wasn't feelin' the football game blasting in my ear or the loud cackling gaggles of bottomless mimosa drunk chicks but I think that was mostly because I was hung over. I'd definitely come here again but not on game day.
(4)
Julie R.
We came here for bottomless mimosas brunch. The food was delicious (especially the skillet). All you can drink for only $23 including an entree. The service is very slow so many sure you can spare an hour or two. Overall a great brunch!

Patsy's is great for a nice low-key brunch. Food is good, fresh, and reasonably priced. Our group took advantage of the brunch special, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would recommended coming here to beat another crowded brunch spot.

My review is 100% fact Todd. Why would I make it up? I'm a good, reasonable person. Here's how you should react to something like this: "sorry you had a bad experience, how can we make it right?" Instead, you call me a liar?!? I'll say it again, do NOT go to Patsy's. If you do, triple check your tab.

This place is a hole in the wall, tiny, bar and grill. It is severely challenged by its size and layout. Yet with those challenges it completely scores solid. The bar keeps are kind and certainly know how to chew the fat with you. Their kitchen grill produces some of the most tasty and humongous bar food. My GF had one of their salads which easily could feed four people. I settled with the over flowing buffalo chicken wrap and upgraded to the mac & cheese on the side. Boy was I glad that I did as it was a huge serving and oven baked with a parmesan crust on top (very tasty surprise). I wish that they had more taps, but then again it is a tiny bar. The weekly deals cannot be beat... $3.50 burger and fries on Tuesdays?? Unheard of!

Cozy little pub, good grub! As far as little dives go, this one received a solid fist in my book. A party of five moseyed on in to get some sustenance of both solid and liquid variety. This is truly a charming, hole in the wall bar, with a fully functioning kitchen and several beers on tap. The bartender was amazingly warm and friendly, and guided us through our vehement imbibing of tap beers and home-style pub foot. I tried both the mac and cheese bites and the Cajun rubbed hot wings..Mm-mm good, yo! I urge you to give this place a go if you're looking for low key with high quality!

There's not much to this place. It's tiny, but boasts some awesome attributes that will definitely get me in next time I'm in Lincoln Park. -Beer Nuggets (Yeah, for realz!) -Free jukebox -Really awesome bartenders that will chat you up and even buy you a drink if you're not a complete d-bag. -Cool regulars that slam 4 High Lifes in a 20 minute span. (Yep, that happened) -It's one of the only places in Lincoln Park that isn't a Michigan State bar. (Sorry Spartan fans...but you seem to be everywhere.) Overall, it's a great spot. It won't get extremely rowdy, but if you want a chill spot to kick back Patsy's is the biznass.

Just dropped in here this evening with my lady friend, because we liked how it looked from the outside - cozy. Luckily for us, the paid parking on the street was free and we found a spot right in front of the bar. The bartender was friendly and the special of the day was brunch-all-day which magically becomes 5.99 for any of the brunch options with the purchase of a beverage. I had a corona for $5 and the lady had a hot chocolate - which is not on the menu but the bartender was nice enough to make some. Also have 3-4 screens playing sports channels and they have board games. Will definitely drop by again someday!

We originally went to Toast (on webster) but the wait was 45 minutes, the place is good but not that good. So we decided to yelp something else around the area, thankfully we have a car so we just drove along Lincoln when yelp suggested this place. We saw that there was no wait so we decided to give it a try. We sat on the patio because the weather was amazing. Chris was incredible, the sweetest person ever. I order the "build your own skillet" I got scramble eggs on top of hashbrows with bacon and american cheese, it came with toast, I was very satisfied. My husband order the texas toast and they were also delicious. I will definitely go back for brunch because Chris was amazing and the food was delicious :)

Good service and easy-going crowd! The wait staff are very attentive and want to make sure you have a good experience. If you want a cheap hangover brunch, come here! I ordered an egg and sausage sandwich on Texas toast (didn't come with any sides) and a Guinness Bloody Mary. Very good and will come back again!

Some friends and I were in search of some form of all you can drink brunch this past weekend and ended up at Patsy's. Upon entering it strikes you as simple and straightforward, no frills about it. Simple wooden tables and chairs. I wouldn't call it a dive bar, more of a neighborhood spot. They have a great special on Sunday's which I what I drew us in. $5.95 breakfast entrees and $14.50 all you can drink mimosas. There were 7 of us and half ordered breakfast, half ordered lunch. The food was slow to come; however, the bartender informed is prior to ordering that there was only one cook in back and our food would come out in flights. I wasn't thrilled with this but appreciated his honesty and him being up front with us before we ordered. Everyone was very pleased with their choices (too many to get into) and enjoyed their meals. Now onto the mimosas. I have to say the mimosa deal is the best you're going to find. The mimosas were poured in front of us and each pour was extremely generous. The bartender also was never far away and kept them full. Eventually he even brought us pitchers so we wouldn't have to wait. I was thrilled!!! Also worth mentioning is that the bartender did separate checks up front for our large group - very helpful! I'm not sure how Patsy's is in the evenings but if you're looking for some good food and drinks at good prices it's worth a shot. PS: Would've been 4 stars if food had come out together.

Great neighborhood bar. I've been here many times and the food has been excellent. They also have great daily specials for both food and drinks. Brian is my favorite bartender. He's fun and makes great drinks. I always like stopping in when I see him working. Highly recommend this place!

There is only 1 server for the whole restaurant. He was really nice and hauls ass back and forth but if they had even one more server it would be a lot better. I ordered steak and eggs and all I got was a butter knife which wasn't really sufficient for cutting steak. Also, I asked for my OJ multiple times. My friends coffee wasn't even filled all the way. The food is good but they need some more help considering there is an outside, inside area and bar.

I ventured in around 9:45 on a Monday night mid-June, after having called to make sure that the kitchen was still open. The gentleman I spoke with (Brian) was warm, friendly, and talkative--over the phone, and in person. When I walked in, the bartender indicated that I should sit wherever I wanted, then brought me a menu. I'm a frou-frou drinker, so I ordered a DiSaronno Stone Sour; besides, I came here to eat! Apparently there isn't much call for "girly" drinks such as mine, because Brian came back to verify the components of said drink. Now, on to the food! Brian informed me, up front, that everything is made to order, and that there was only one cook. I appreciated that--on both counts--and had no problem with such a situation. I ordered the Mac & Cheese Bites and a couple of sliders (Angus Beef and Fish) to start. The bites didn't live up to their hype, but they weren't bad, either. The sliders, however, were great! Especially the fish (Cod?) one; the tartar sauce was some of the best I've had. They were, also, nearly the size of a regular burger/sandwich. Then I ordered the Southwest Salad, and it was huge! I ate a couple of forkfuls, and had the rest the next day. This salad was a wonderful concoction of spicy chicken breast, Romaine lettuce, corn, tomato, onion, and freshly fried tortilla strips. All of the ingredients were in proportion (VERY important!), everything was bite-sized and ready to eat, the ranch dressing was the perfect balance for the Cajun spice of the chicken, and the tortilla strips just took it over the top! All I can think of to improve the experience would be some black beans. Oh, my! I'm salivating, just remembering! Guess I need to go back to visit soon...

Solid cheap place for brunch. Don't expect a lot, but the service is fantastic. Coffee was always full and so was water. The bartender/waiter for the moment was super attentive. I wish I had this kind of service at regular restaurants! I got the regular two eggs with toast and bacon. There is a lot of bacon but it's super fatty. Their egg wrap looked awesome, with salsa too. I think there is a $6 brunch deal on the weekends for some items, but don't quote me on that--they have sidewalk chalkboards with daily deals. The bar is dim, but we just came for an early brunch. It's small but homey and we saw the mimosas being poured--shit is legit. I'd say an 80/20 ratio, heavy on the champagne! Can't say much else about it.

Some friends and I visited on a Saturday for a stop on our "wings crawl". The host/bartender Tony welcomed us in and made us feel at home. The wings were excellent! We got five each of the regular buffalo, BBQ, and the Cajun dry rub. All were good - just a hint of crispness under the sauce. The BBQ was pretty sweet, and the buffalo was tangy without being too hot, but the Cajun dry rub took the prize. Coated with Cajun spices, the wings were dry on the outside and juicy on the inside, and really spicy!! Don't know if I could get through more than 2-3, but make sure to share some with friends. We also had their version of a Rumchata which was outstanding! Best of all was Tony's service. He was tending to several different parties of people in this small bar, and made everybody feel like he was their friend. I'll definitely be back for more wings and drinks.

wow. what a pleasant surprise! my boyfriend and i came here for the first time this past Sunday to watch the blackhawks game and redeem our groupon we had recently purchased. don't let the outside fool ya folks. this place is the real deal. if you're looking for a great neighborhood bar who makes you feel at home then patsy's is the place. great entree and drink specials every day of the week! plus a scratch kitchen! yes, the food comes out FRESH. my boyfriend and i split the mac and cheese bites with ranch, and for our main course we got the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken sandwich with fries. both very delicious! okay, now lets get down to business. DRINKS DRINKS and DRINKS. great local brewed beer on draft, bottomless mimosas, and long islands that could kill a small cat after one. one man does it all...jimmy leading the way during a packed house for the blackhawks redwings game. jimmy was on top of his game... made us feel welcome even though this looks like a regulars kinda bar. we look forward to becoming regulars ourselves. :) chef also made an appearance, giving us 50% off local discount coupons and asking about the food...this was a nice touch, very genuine service. groupon or no groupon, we will be back! :)

had a great time here. atmosphere was comfortable, food was great and the service by server/bartender (tony) couldn't have been better. i'm big on getting good service. i don't expect to be served hand and foot, just to be treated in a respectful manner. tony was definitely that and more. he was friendly, attentive and very easy to get along with. that's a huge plus in my book. if you're looking for a very easy, comfortable neighborhood place to enjoy tasty eats with good service, then this is your place. thanks for the great time!

This place is your typical Chicago dive. My friends and I were out of brunch options on a Sunday morning and Yelped this place. When I first saw it I wanted to leave however for a $7 brunch that fills you up and is the regular eggs, hash, and bacon, it was worth staying. Can't say I will go back but the server was hilarious and made our brunch entertaining.

I love dive bars! This is the perfect bar to just chill out and not have annoying people around. My husband and I decided to order food cause we had heard it was actually pretty good bar food. I had the steak wrap and a bowl of chili. I enjoyed both of them very much. The steak was much more tender than I thought it would be. My husband had the tacos and a house salad and he thought both of them were really good. We definitely will be coming back to try the Mac and cheese bites!

I stumbled onto Patsy's by complete accident. And I'm so glad I did. Having just recently moved to Chicago, I headed to Lincoln Park to the Oregon Duck bar (Witt's) to catch the UO-Stanford game. Unfortunately, it was standing room only and I wasn't having that--moving exhausted me and I needed to sit, eat and drink. With kickoff time nearing, my boyfriend and I darted into the first quiet bar I saw, which happened to be Patsy's. Granted, it's an OSU bar (boo!), but they had already played that day. I'm a big service person, and our bartender ROCKED. Not only did he find the game for us (which actually turned out to be quite a feat) right before kickoff, he even defended us later on in the evening when some Buckeyes came in and wanted to change the game to watch Notre Dame. Drinks were stiff, beer selection great, and the food was some of the best pub food I've had. We were there for probably about 4 hours, and the bartender (wish I could remember his name!) was one of the best I've ever had in terms of service and comraderie. I wish I lived in the neighborhood, because I'd probably be there every night. But with great food, great drinks, and great service, I'll probably venture north sometimes solely for Patsy's.

God I love this place. Small, super laid back, solid food and stiff drinks. I usually wander in for dinner or brunch and I like that the music is never too loud or you can chill and watch a game. I always get great, friendly service. It's also a place I end up having random conversations with perfect strangers, lol.

I've enjoyed myself two times here for a late night dinner with some great beer. Kitchen staying open to 11pm on weekdays is very much appreciated. The food was tasty and filling. The beer options were good, pleasing both IPA and cider fans. Most importantly, the bartenders have been fantastic. They have been very attentive, helpful, friendly, and even entertaining. Other bars can learn a great amount about the service that Patsy's Place offers.

A few months ago during the Stanley Cup playoffs, I was planning to go to a show at the Elbo Room with some friends and a few of us wanted to have some dinner and watch some hockey first. Someone suggested Patsy's Place and I figured how bad could it be? It was not bad at all. As a matter of fact, it was kind of nice. An intimate little Cheers type bar where the bartender is nice, they have Hoegaarden on tap, and the pub grub is really good! The mac and cheese was stellar. I haven't been back since, but only because I don't really get to that neighborhood very often. If I lived closer this would be my go-to bar, for sure!

I am a huge fan of this bar! Like others said, it's a great neighborhood bar to get great good and relax with friends. Whenever I go into place, it is nice and quiet and you can enjoy the games they always have on the T.V.'s. I usually go here on Saturdays during the afternoon to grab a bite of their delicious "made from scratch" burgers. Sooooo Good! On Tuesdays, I believe they have a special for $3.95 for a burger and fries and it is an amazing burger! Cheaper than a Value Meal at McDonalds and like 10 times better. No joke! I also like the $14.95 Saturday deal they have-----ALL YOU CAN DRINK MIMOSAS! They also have board games you can play and the staff is great. Check this place out for sure! One of my top favorite neighborhood bars in the city!

Oh Patsy, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey Patsy, hey Patsy! Yeah, Patsy's is one cool little bar. It's chill, it lacks uninspired pretenses, the bartenders give good personality, and they put out some damn tasty bar food. On the cheap! The regulars rave about the pulled pork sliders and their take on the classic Muffaletta is nothing to scoff at. But my pick? The beer nuggets! You can't go wrong with beer battered then deep fried pizza dough, served with marinara. Sounds so wrong but it's just so right! Beer selection aplenty and martinis too. Whether you're looking for the quintessential destination neighborhood bar or a spot to relax in before hitting a show at the Elbo Room, that chick Patsy has it all!

Brunch is 5.95, but not really - because you'd have to buy a drink with to get that price. I didn't want to get an alcoholic drink. Being the lightweight I am, I avoid alcohol before 9pm. Yes, lame, i know. But I got an orange juice - full of vitamin C and still give me that $5.95 brunch. Our food took a while to come, and it could have been that we got there right when they opened. We both got the skillet - very much the standard brunch mean, potatoes, with 2 ingredients (mine was bacon and cheddar cheese), and then eggs on top. I loved it though. Sure I wanted to jog as I was eating to burn off the calories, but that's my kind of brunch.

My first and only time to Patsy's was about 1 week ago with a girl friend, Friday night, a little before 9. First let's get the slightly negative out of the way, so I can end on a good note. No one greets us when we come in, even though we can see you standing around back there, so we just slowly make our way to sit down. We've been sitting there for a few minutes making ourselves comfortable when finally someone, who based on what I saw later, I can only guess was the manager, asks us to move because there's an open mic that night. He was slightly rude a bit later too, and I found it unprofessional that he's out there in the seating area throughout the remainder of the night attending to "finances" and paperwork. Also, when me and the girl friend were looking up the place online, there's no mention on the website or the brunch menu itself that it is only served on certain days or hours, so having the menu itself say at the top "Served All Day" is a bit misleading. There are numerous places that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, yet continue to serve from all three menus, ALL DAY, so I don't think we were in the wrong for thinking that this would apply here too, especially since it didn't say anything otherwise. All this is why I had to take away 1 star. Moving on to the fabulous. Our server, who we learned later was his first day, I believe his name was Ernie? SUPER nice, attentive, easy to joke around with, overall great server. I had the tangy bacon burger, asked for a fried egg. It was good, fries were good, can't complain. (Can't remember what the girl friend had, but don't remember her complaining so I'm going to safely guess, all was good.) Also, LOVE the music, especially the classic rock, and I appreciated that it wasn't super loud so that I was able to actually carry on a conversation. The open mic night started at 10. Never been to a place that hosted something like that. Not everyone is going to be the best comedian ever, but overall the comedians were pretty funny. To sum up, me and the girl friend had an enjoyable experience and we would definitely return and recommend to others. Thanks for a good time, Patsy's!

The Mission: find a spot for a couple of friends to be able to catch up before heading to Delilah's down the block (where it'd be noisier and harder to focus on a conversation). The Target: Patsy's place was determined within the "I-can-make-it-that-far-in-high-heels" requisite number of blocks (about two). Full Report: It was great! Dimly lit, total neighborhood place, walls lined with interesting old family portraits (meaning, good conversation starters... "I didn't realize they had speedos back in the 1930's...). The staff was friendly and attentive. One of my friends had an issue with her drink, which was immediately corrected pleasantly and professionally by the bartender. There were only a scattered number of us at 9pm on a Friday evening, but that was fine with us. Our mission was to be able to catch up with friends over a few beers, and that mission was accomplished.

I came here with my English friend who was visiting with the sole purpose of trying the all-you-can-eat fish and chips (on Wednesdays and Fridays). The food was A-mazing! Fish was fried to perfection and crispy, the chips were seasoned perfectly, and if case you are wondering about the validity of this dish, my English friend who grew up eating fish and chips said that it was better than most fish that you would find in England and gave it a 9 out of 10! The bartender, Tony, was a great, gregarious, smart guy who knew almost everything there was to know about alcohol (which is EXACTLY what I want in a bartender lol) and let us taste really authentic, legit whiskeys and home-brewed ales. I haven't tried to the brunch yet, but I'm told that everything is made fresh in house (including the smoking of the meats) and if the fish and chips are any indication of the rest of the menu, then I'm sure that it tastes awesome. Two thumbs way up.

First of all...THEY HAVE BEER NUGGETS?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?! Ended up at Patsy's on a Tuesday night because my friend and I saw it in the Red Eye advertising $2.50 burgers...with fries! AND! No drink purchase required. AND! It's a 1/2 pound burger. Not one of those dinky-sized flat ones. SOLD. Cute little bar with flat screens all around and old black and white portraits which gave it a very local bar feel. I definitely appreciated/respected/admired the ambiance. Very welcoming staff who went around introducing themselves. Our server/bartender Jason was so super friendly and was on top of his game all night. I felt like I was at someone's house or something...someone who was extremely hospitable. Burger was delicious. 75 cents extra if you want cheese on it just FYI. I also grabbed a Stella because I was in need of an ice cold beer. To make things even more awesome, we were able to find parking literally right in front of the bar. SCORE. High fives all around, Patsy's.

Went to this place with a large group after an art opening at Rotofugi. They accomodated all of us (almost 20). I ordered the Cobb Salad....if was not great. My boyfriend ordered the nachos...the homemade tortilla chips were well done/burnt. Maybe it was because they felt they had to serve everybody at the same time and that way all of the food sucked. Nicely done. They have a small drink menu. meh. I will not go back.

Awesome place, great food, good specials, and a spectacular brunch. Tony is a good guy and a jolly fellow too. Enjoy. MIMOSAS.

Patsy's is a great little hole in the wall. If I lived closer I would probably be there all the time. I love the photos of Patsy's (??) family in the ladies bathroom. They have Wii and boardgames and a decent jukebox. The first time I went I had some Mac-n-cheese that was pretty stellar and this past time I enjoyed some chicken fingers. Basic bar/comfort food--not bad. The first time I went I had a few beers, one of which was bought for me by the bartender--something about a "motorboat" in exchange for the beer..hmmmmm. It was a joke but the beer was still free! This past time it was a few beers on special and my friends enjoyed some of the most potent mixed drinks I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. We sat outside and the server came 'round quite often. My friends and I had a great time relaxing and Patsy's hit the spot.

My husband and I were wandering around the neighborhood looking for some place to grab some beers and dinner. We saw this place and looked it up on Yelp and saw the good reviews so we stopped in. I'm so glad we did. There were only 3 other people that cycled in when we were there and then the bartender. It was kinda nice to have to place basically to ourselves. The bartender was great. He let us order at our own pace and left us mainly alone despite the fact that the place was quiet. We started with the wings in the Teriyaki & Cajun Dry Rub. Yum! But man were they HOT. I don't think I've ever had wings with a dry rub. So GOOD! I wasn't that hungry so I just ordered a side salad for my entree. I'm glad I did, it was huge! I couldn't finish the whole thing. My husband ordered the mac and cheese, it was super cheesy and perfect. We live in the NW burbs but I have a feeling we will find a way to make it back here.

Ole Lounge across the street was closed so we stopped here for a beer. The bartender was really friendly. That goes a long way for me as I believe service has been suffering for a long time. They have some great deals so stop in.

Ignorantly thought we could walk right in to Duke of Perth for $9.95 Friday Fish Fry during Lent. at 6 p.m. Claustrophobic and starving, we bolted after it took 5 minutes for me to get out of the mess after the waitress informed us of the 45 minute wait. This is where we stumbled into Patsy's, the first alternative fish fry to Duke of Perth listed on yelp. Decent Beer Selection: Three Floyd's Pride and Joy on Tap with Alpha King as a bottled selection. Fish: Lightly beer battered and the fish was much more substantial and fresh than that of Duke of Perths. The chips were also equally satisfying. I would return to Patsy's for Fish Fry Night; however, prefer the ambience at Duke of Perth.

My friends and I were doing a "mini drinking tour" around the area and stopped here for dinner. We didn't leave for hours because the food was delicious but the bartender, Tony, was such great company. He was so welcoming, and we will definitely be back.

How can you not love this place? It's a little hole in the wall of a bar with friendly service, and good food. The omelets are solid, but the real highlight from the kitchen is the pulled pork sandwich (with some killer BBQ sauce) and the mac and cheese (served piping hot out of the broiler with toasted bread crumbs on top). Choose between pork gluttony and carbohydrate feast! This is a great neighborhoody spot.

Wonderful atmosphere, food, specials, & service. Bar tenders are really nice! The wings are awesome! Only bar in town that gets the Versus channel, so you can watch hockey!

On the first truly warm day in May, which seems like forever ago after the freezing rain, hail, and sheer meteorological misery we've had since, a friend and I wished to dine al fresco. I believe, actually, her words were, "All I want out of life is to go somewhere with beer where we can eat outside." We went to Patsy's early, just before 6 pm, and were the only folks in the joint. The bartender provided us with menus and we went outside. The "patio" is tables on the sidewalk, near the street, it being Lincoln Ave. It was trafficky, and extremely windy, so we quickly went inside to a table near the giant open front of the pub. (It's a small place... really small. But cozy with dark wood accents.) It was a tad confusing, with no waitstaff, whether we were to order food and drinks at the bar, or if the bartender (who couldn't have been nicer) was to come to the table to take our orders, but it sort of worked itself out. After reading the reviews, we had to start with the beer nuggets, which are an enormous portion of breaded chunks of pizza dough, deep fried and served with marinara and nacho cheese sauce. Aside from some of the nuggets being a little undercooked on the inside, they were pretty addictive and I feel like we may have ordered and demolished another plateful had our entrees not arrived before they were gone. We both got steak, she the steak sandwich and I the steak salad. We both concluded that the steak (skirt) was cooked and flavored well, but so poorly trimmed that it was difficult to cut or bite into. My salad was huge, with lots of nummy stuff, and we both ended taking home copious leftovers. Bonus: Good beer recommendation by the bartender (the only staff we saw) for Three Floyd's Gumballhead, which is wondrous and you should most def try it. All in all a good experience, not great, but we'll probably be back just for beer nuggets alone. We've been talking about them ever since.

I didn't even know I could have a 5-star experience at a divey-type bar until I came to Patsy's! Blink and you'll miss it...this hole-in-the-wall might not be so much to look at, but it surely makes up for it with all their food and drink specials, their large menu, and really good service. The night we were there, the bartender was brand new and the whole staff was just really friendly and helpful. Sometimes with the smaller bars everyone knows everyone and there isn't "room" for newbies. But at Patsy's, everyone is made to feel like a "regular." Which actually made me want to BE a Patsy's regular! There is outside patio seating for the summer, and it's on a quiet stretch of Lincoln Ave. Again, this place is just a great find if you are looking for a casual bar.

My friends and I stopped by Patsy's Place after having a few drinks at another bar down the street. Patsy's was great. The music was just the right volume to have a conversation. Bryan, the bartender, was very welcoming. We were able to get some nachos right before the kitchen closed (delicious). Overall, a great experience and I can't wait to come back!

Stayed here till 3am on Saturday then woke up and came back for brunch. Passed my big test on the 1st drink. Oooh look Stella. With the correct glass. Someone up there likes me. The cleanest place I've ever been, brunch was outstanding. Service super nice and professional

Finally! A great chill bar with fantastic service and good food... Food: Decently priced and super quality; I had the steak tacos (the steak was tender and flavorful) and the bartender noticed immediately that the kitchen messed up my sides and fixed it with no complaints. My friend picked up the chili nachos, smothered in all kinds of mexican goodness and not lacking in size. I am pretty sure I will be back to try the mac n cheese bites. Atmosphere: My friend and I were in the area to see some bands at Elbo Room, and found this place Freakin' awesome!! It was me, my friend, a random girl and the bartender. The girl was obviously a regular, and she and the bartender quickly made us feel at home. It was dimly lit, and had a great hometown bar vibe, with none of the pretense of the not-too-far Wicker Park bars. We will be regulars for pre-Elbo Room trips. Parking: For some reason, I've always found easy parking on the west side of Lincoln Ave, which makes me comfortable driving. Price: To be honest, I was well supplied with beer and shots... I don't really remember... but the food seemed decently priced. Service: Exceptional - the bartender had a great attention to detail, and allowed us to plug my friend's Blackberry into their sound system when we noticed there was no jukebox. Shots were offered freely, beer glasses were quickly refilled; I got such warm and friendly service, I wondered if I was back in my little dive bars back home where I knew everyone... but nope, it's just a really great establishment to chill and make new friends.

We've been looking for great beer battered fish and chips - it's like a never ending search. Went here based on Yelp reviews and although my fiance loved the fish b/c they were tender and flaky, I thought they were just ok b/c the fish was NOT CRISPY AT ALL. They weren't dripping in oil by any means but for some reason they were limp and soft. Were they not battered enough? Was the oil not hot enough? Or is it like this all of the time? What's worse is we waited 40 min to get our food. They said it was b/c they ran out of beer batter and had to make it - um, I've made beer batter and it doesn't take that long. I think they just forgot to put our order in, which is forgivable when the restaurant is packed but there were only 6 other people in the whole place. We also found that the all you can eat fish and chips on Friday is $1 cheaper than ordering 1 fish and chip dinner. Shouldn't those prices be switched?

I think my favorite thing about Patsy's is that it's generally pretty quiet and laid back - never too crowded. So it's a good place to go if you want to go out for some beer and bar food and be able to have an easy conversation. I really like the pulled pork sandwich with the mac and cheese for a side. The fish and chips is good too. Beer on tap is pretty limited, but they usually have decent choices at least.

Amanda C.
Brunch here was just OK. The service was slow (not because of the kitchen but because the waitress was chatting at the bar with patrons) while we were the only table seated inside. It's very dark inside for daytime which is a drawback. Saturdays all brunch items are $5.95. Bloody Marys are below average for my taste but come with a pickle.

If the service were better, and the bartender didn't make me feel like he was doing me a favor by serving me, I would give this place 4, maybe even 5 stars.

I'm knocking off a star of my previous favorite bar. Nick and Joe sold it to someone. I haven't been since they sold it but the boyfriend said the music was horrible and so were the tots and pulled pork. HOW CAN YOU SCREW UP TOTS? I am sad inside.

Man, I was really excited to come here after looking at the menu. Big disappointment though! We had the beer battered dough thing and it was just meh. The dough didn't taste very good. I had a portobello sandwich and my boyfriend had the sliders. His sliders were very greasy even the tops of the buns. I think he had two and then gave up. Mine wasn't much better, the portobello wasn't very flavorful and the bun was very bland. The fries were not great either. Beer and service were fine but I would never come back here to eat again. I'll be sticking to Cooper's for my bar food needs.

Cajun Dry Rub Wings. Go on a Wednesday for 25 cent wings and get a dozen of the dry rub. It's a different concept, pretty much just some amazing seasoning on the wings rather than a sauce. These wings changed my perception of what a good wing is. A bloody mary a cajun dry rub and a cajun dry rub.

Quaint & cozy bar with a viking bartender that brings his own bottle of Malort. Eclectic playlists feature deep cuts like Marvin Sease's "The Bitch Git It All" (where else in Chicago can you hear songs like this?!). The beer nuggets are especially good when the dude from Gino's East (next door) brings over dough in exchange for booze. Great location across the street from the legendary Home Tavern (the pair make quite a night on the town). If the viking is working, try to stump him with sports trivia. He knows everything from UCW to Women's shuffleboard.

In the search for the best buffalo wings in Lakeview/Lincoln Park, I was really excited about the posts on the quality of their wings. . .They were good. They were not the "jumbo" they advertise on their menu board. . .The fries were the best thing we ordered. Sad to I'm still in search of the best chicken wings in Lakeview/Lincoln Park!

Came here for a get together with friends and had a good time. Enjoyed my first Smithwicks, with a fun discussion on pronunciation. :) We had the wings, beer nuggets, fried mac and cheese, and some tater tots. Everything was really really good and was a TON of food. It was a nice chill bar where we could watch a game without being disturbed and have a good conversation without having to yell. Overall a great neighborhood bar to just relax with friends. My only complaint? I wish they had brought us water without us having to ask for it.

Decent bar food, cute atmosphere. Small space but several TVs including one big screen. Service not overly friendly, but efficient. Tangy bloody Marys, six beers on tap. Recommend the beer nuggets for a starter. We didn't take advantage of the board games and Wii, but I can imagine when things are more lively (we went for lunch), the games get pulled out.

I like Patsy's. The owner Tom is really nice, and the selection of booze is pretty good. The menu is also good, though I'm knocking it down a star because the food is not as delicious as it was with the old chef. That said, it's still good; definitely better-than-average bar food. The beer nuggets are DELICIOUS. They have brunch on the weekends and the breakfast foods are really good. It's really chill and usually not that crowded, so it's a nice place to go to hang out with friends and actually be able to have a conversation. They always have sports on TV, and have a Wii for patrons to play. All together a really chill, relaxed atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

Went for the all-you-can-eat fish on Friday, big thumbs up. Compared to some others I've tried, Patsy's is by far the best. The fish was breaded appropriately, and the filets weren't greasy in the slightest. Looks like there are some great specials on other days of the week as well, including $5.95 anything brunch all day on Saturday and Sunday. Sweet!

The only reason I stopped at this place was because I was having my cell phone worked on at the store next door, but I'm sure glad I did. I'm a huge buffalo wings afficianado and Patsy's has some of the best I've every had in Chicago. Had a great conversation with that day's bartender, Tom, who also happens to be the owner and found out that they have specials every day of the week. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food with a casual, neighborhood bar feel.

If it wasn't for the tracking wheel on my blackberry acting up, i woulda never discovered this gem. The Cellphone Repair Shop is literally next door (try 5 steps) to Patsy's. I dropped off the blackberry, they quoted me a pickup time of about 35mins, cool, i left and started searching out watering holes i can run into for a coupla beers n cocktails to kill time. Ole Lounge was across the street ... eh, i'll pass. Then there's another hole-in-the-wall spot - i think its called Hometown Inn or Pub or whatever, but it just didnt look "inviting". THEN, their was this awesomely savory and delicious aroma peering through the air on this cold, windy, evening on Lincoln Ave. I looked across the street and my eyes locked in on Patsy's Place..... I made my way in and walked into this warm, lil cute spot. Simple basic decorating.... a sitting bench along the rear wall that lines up at a 90degree angle, wooden tables and chairs, a few candles, here and there. The bar is to the left, fully stocked, couple TV screens, cool bartender (i think his name was Nick, cool cat). I ordered a couple Red Label n Gingers. I asked him about that aroma and he told me they baked there own bread, he brought me a sample piece. Shit was delicious! Yummy as hell, rich and buttery. I didn't have time to order any food cause I already had dinner plans at N (prncd. 'enye', 2977 n. elston, u must check it out!). But i'll definitely come back to Patsy's with some friends. I can actually say, with rock solid confidence, that you will love this place; and bet on it.

I love Patsy's. It's very chill most nights (watch out though, it can get loud and busy at times). Nick, the bartender, is super nice and friendly. It's the kind of place where everybody knows your name. The food is great, but I had to take a star off for getting rid of the southwest salad. According to Nick, I am the only one who every ordered it. Boo!

Big fan of this Patsy's Place! Great food and drink, and daily specials to boot! Monday night they have $3 "You Call It's," which included bottles and all taps, and for an extra $0.75 they were offering Gumball Head and Alpha King, two of my favorite Three Floyd's Beers for an amazing price! They also had their killer Beef Brisket Sammie for $5.95 (on Mondays) as well, which comes with their battered fries, that are long, golden, and crispy! Look out Mickey D's!!! There's is no shortage of food on these plates and they even came with a really good tasting coleslaw. The atmosphere is pretty chill, they have a new jukebox, a handful of flat screens and even some tables for smaller groups. Also, I saw a flyer on the wall in the Men's Bathroom, which was clean by the way, that said you can play Wii Boardgames all weekend, I will have to try that. Also, this is always a great place to watch a game at. If you haven't been, you must stop in, you will love this place.

Overall a great neighborhood bar with reasonable prices. I have been here several times and I have noticed Patsy's usually runs great nightly specials; both food and drink. The 25 cent wings on Wednesday are huge and the pours from Brian and Jason are always generous. There is usually a decent crowd but I have almost always been able to find a seat. Tom, the owner, was very accommodating when my girlfriend recently hosted a party at the bar.

Finally stopped in after walking by this place so many times. Definitely stop in because they've always got awesome deals going on. Their chili fries are amazing though next time I go in on a fri I'll have to try their all you can eat fish n chips. This is definitely a neighborhood bar, I think I was definitely in love because the bartender was playing my two favorite bands - Oasis and Green Day. Again went on a quieter tuesday and enjoyed some really good mac & cheese bites & big buffalo wings. If you want a chill environment and not noisy ass drunks, go here. I'll be returning!

A group of my friends went to Patsy's for brunch this past Sunday. They have a $6 brunch entree special on weekends. I ordered a skillet and it was pretty fantastic even though I didn't get exactly what I ordered with the extra veggies (new cook and not the regular brunch waitstaff). I would def go here again because it was not crowded, the server was really nice & friendly and they serve guiness mimosas (sounds awful but it was actually pretty tasty)!

Love Patsy's! The Beer Nuggets are to die for. Nick the bartender is hilarious, and entirely entertaining. The space is cozy. Unpretentious. Favorite bar on the Lakeview stretch of Lincoln.

This was my first brunch experience ever. I absolutely adore brunch now. I didn't even know about the bottomless mimosa thing until I couldn't even take more than a few sips before the bartender was refilling my glass. It was glorious. The skillet was amazing too. Everything is made to order and fresh as hell. Love love love. Will definitely make this a regular spot, and I'm hell bent on trying the skillet cookie. Can't wait.
(5)

My friends and I went for the bottomless mimosas...and breakfast was amazing. It was pretty busy, and there was only one guy working. Chris was Awesome! He was on it, and kept apologizing(I assume that wasn't typical) and was so nice none of us cared. I would absolutely go back for it all!
(5)

What a great place! Cute decor (of what you can see in the dark) of 1920-30's black and white photos and old school phone above the bar. The owners were behind the bar slinging drinks, and boy do they offer a fine service and friendly conversation. Drinks were a good mix of things you don't find at your average dive...but also some of the "classics" like PBR and Stella. We didn't try the food...but it SMELLED amazing! Seems like they have a pretty decent brunch menu at ridiculously cheap prices (like $5.95 per entree). Needless to say, we'll be back to give it a spin during day light hours!

We made a reservation and they gave up our table before the reservation was even up. Made us wait 25 more minutes for a table and just as we were about to leave the told us they "pushed two tables together." We sat down, our waiter was decent but new. When our food finally came out, they forgot about my skillet and there was a long stringy hair in my friends steak and eggs. Two stars for their chilli and mimosas even though the mimosas came in a plastic pitcher. The bloody marys tasted like water as well...

Each time you visit Patsy's you'll walk away with a new favorite from their home cooked menu. You can't beat food that is made to order in this hidden gem.

Given the area, the idea of a low-key place with good food and a great atmosphere (read: not the stereotypical North-Side needlessly pretentious atmosphere), Patsy's is an absolute gem. Great staff, very nice and unassuming, with good music and of course, bottomless mimosas. I had the Cajun wings, which i found to be on-par with the best chicken places in the city (Uncle Remus, Crisp etc.) and the intimacy of small venue only enhances the experience. Five Stars for sure.
(5)

What a great experience. I live in Phoenix and found a great place for mimosas. The did was an unbelievably pleasant surprise. The skillet was fantastic (with sausage). The service made it a 5 star choice. The regulars here seemed to know the owner but I felt I was treated the same as a visitor. I highly recommend trying out Patsy's !!!

Awesome place. The bartender Tony was the man. Like them on Facebook while you are there and you get a free shot. Very old school juke box with great music. Extremely cheap craft beers. Very good food. Jon Taffer would approve.

Had a great experience here the other night. The staff are incredibly accomodating and they definitely make you feel welcome. The laid back , friendly atmosphere is refreshing. There aren't many bars one can go to in the city and be able to have a conversation without competing with overly loud music or other voices. But at Patsy's it isn't an issue. The nostalgic decor depicted by a variety of white and black photographs on the walls adds a unique touch. Wish I hadn't eaten before I went since the food smelled delicious. Looking forward to going back with a group of friends to sample the menu!
(5)
Amanda D.
I was personally contacted by the owner which says a lot about customer service to me. I appreciate the outreach and I have added another star simply because of that; unlike the time I visited, I get the feeling the owner does care deeply about its customers. I have changed my rating based on my new perception that customer service is a top priority but during my visit, that was not he case as stated in my earlier review. I don't though, like being asked to take my first review down. I was kind of irritated by that but I tried to be better and up it a single star because at least the owner showed some semblance of caring.
(2)
Kelsey H.
Service was friendly and great, but the rest of the experience... Not so much. The Bloody Mary tasted like Watered-down Tabasco- no true flavor or spices. Charged for the ridiculously small chaser. Also, my understanding of an over easy egg- the yoke is runny, not the entire egg. If I wanted an uncooked egg, I would have asked for it raw. The toast was cold.
(2)
Mary R.
I've been here a few times and every time the bartender is unfriendly, dismissive, and rude. Tonight I saw him charge another customer $6.50 for a bottle of Stella when it clearly said $5.50 on the menu. Then he gouged me $0.50 on my beer. It's not cool. However the food is delicious and the atmosphere is good. Just be aware that the bartender is a dick.

Went here with some friends for their bottomless mimosa brunch. ~$25 for bottomless mimosas and your choice of entree. Great food and great service!

I wasn't really feeling Patsy's at first but it grew on me. The Good: Food is excellent! I got an omelette with coffee. Both were equally delicious. Our waiter and the manager were super friendly. Everyone in this place seemed to be in a great mood. Lovely atmosphere. The Bad: Patsy's doesn't have a large capacity so the wait for a table was a bit lengthy. It also took a little while for our food to come out. They nickle and dime a bit with their menu - can get expensive quite easily. The Verdict: We enjoyed our experience. Ultimately, we came for good food and an enjoyable time, and we got both. If you aren't in a hurry and have the time then give Patsy's a try

Not quite a fan of this place. I can appreciate the vibe they're going for - relaxed, semi-divey bar serving brunch and dinner. Our waitress/bartender was really sweet but seemed extremely scattered - at one point my boyfriend's Guinness was sitting half poured under the tap for about 5 minutes. My coffee was also lukewarm even though they said they poured a fresh pot. Didn't seem like the manager was much better either; while he was also nice and asked us if we needed anything, he was scooping foam out of the Guinness with a spoon before pouring more and then commented on trying to get the "perfect pour" when he served it. The food was fine, but nothing I'd come rushing back for. I hear the Mac and cheese bites are good though.

I've come here when I'm too lazy to walk any further than 10 feet for brunch or lunch. Each time I've dined at Patsy's, I've had similar experiences: average bar food, a fairly good selection of beers on tap, really slow food service and a small outdoor seating area during the spring and summer months. Their brunch hours are their most popular, where all entrees are $6.95. However, I wouldn't recommend their brunch, unless you aren't looking for anything extraordinary. I think I'm being a bit generous with the rating, as the service is quite slow. Last time it took ten minutes to receive a menu, ten minutes to get our order taken and then another 40 minutes for our food to show up. Also, last time I ordered a bloody Mary, which tasted like watered-down tomato juice. If you are just looking for a quiet place to get a drink, then Patsy's will suit your needs just fine, just don't expect spectacular service during brunch or out of this world bar food.

While Patsy's doesn't bother to sprinkle the menu with the next big thing (creativity IS a bit overrated anyway!), it features a very solid, very vanilla menu full of brunch classics and a well-mixed bloody mary (so says my wife) in a space that isn't gonna win any awards but with prices that won my heart. Dropped by for brunch this past Saturday. Tried the biscuits and gravy, and even the server admitted that the gravy is the winner over the so-so biscuits hiding beneath the surface. There's a small kids menu, and by "kids' menu", I mean french toast "sticks", which was just two pieces of french toast cut into strips, perfect for my one-year-old. My wife liked her bloody but thought her breakfast skillet was just okay. Small patio out front too, so if you time it right you can grab one of the 4-5 tables and soak it in. If you buy a breakfast cocktail, brunch entrees are like $6 each; even if you don't, everything is under $10. Not sure I'll be back; nothing about Patsy's was special, really, but if you live near this location I would definitely check it out!

I went here with some friends for brunch the other day and the place was very short-staffed. The staff on hand did their best to play catch-up, but I'd still be a bit weary about going here during brunch/lunchtime again, especially since the food wasn't spectacular.

I had a groupon for my stay in Chicago and this place was amazing. The place is tiny so the tables are right next to each other which is not comfortable but oh well. The food was delicious and the bartender was so nice and hospitable. Definitely seems like the place to hang for the atmosphere and good food. We had the mac and cheese bites for a starter (AMAZING) and I had the pulled pork sandwich which was to die for. The food was amazing in this place and it seemed like a fun place to hang. Must stop by if in the lakeview area around Diversey.

Patsy's food was pretty good. The service however sucked. The manager spent the majority of his time on his phone, while his crew ran around in an unorganized fashion. The prices and food however outweighed the negative service.

This review is for brunch not drinks. We really wanted to like this place, but the food just wasn't that good. We were looking for someplace we hadn't been yet and it was a late start to the day so when we saw the reviews and the all day breakfasts we thought we found a winner. This place is really cute and our server was really sweet, but the food just didn't work. We had nachos and there were awful- fried chips just don't work for me and the toppings were so meh. The bf got some eggs which looked fine, but he said they weren't great. I got the steak salad. The steak was fine, and the salad would have been better if there wasn't 1/2 cup of industrial cheddar cheese on it. So note to those who want a salad have them go light on the cheese or go without completely. The menu just didn't add up. I think there's serious potential for this place to have some good home country style cooking- and grab a drink in a chill place. But in my book this is just another sub par pub food place in the city. Patsy's can do better.

I can't imagine what the 4 stars are for -- it is certainly not for the food. I waited 45 min (small kitchen, but seriously?) for scrambled eggs, bacon that was too soggy to eat even though I asked for crisp, and toast (thin sliced bread out of a grocery store bag ). Almost anywhere else is better.

This is more of a 3.5 than a 3. We came this past weekend for bottomless mimosas. It's great that they have patio seating. Not so great when there aren't umbrellas or trees to give you relief from the hot sun. We ordered the burgers and bottomless mimosas. The burgers were good. I've never had ham on my burger and it turned out a lot better than I expected. Service was a bit hit or miss. I overheard a patio table say they've been waiting for 20 minutes for someone to take their order. They seemed overwhelmed but in good spirits when you could catch their attention. I wish we could have watched something else other than Nascar though. $80 for three burgers, mimosas and a side of bacon.

My friend and I came here after finding out that the wait at Batter & Berries over an hour and they don't even sell booze! We definitely lucked out with this place and we were the last two to get a table right after they opened. The menu is a little small, but definitely tasty and they do bottomless mimosas with an entree for ~$23. I ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich and my friend got the crunchy french toast. My sandwich was a little boring (I got sausage and pepper jack cheese -- prob my fault for not ordering something cooler), but the crunchy french toast was really good! It's crunchy because it was battered with cereal, which I thought was a fun twist. The only bummer was that the food does come out a bit slow, because they have a small kitchen. There's a message on the menu which warns you about it, so at least they give you a heads up. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and I'm glad Batter & Berries was full!

My friends and I wanted brunch & mimosas this morning m so we ended up picking Patsy's Place randomly off of a Yelp list. I'm so happy we did! I loved the small bar atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing music (think Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers...). Usually I'd go with the classic bottomless mimosas but I had to try the Guinness mimosa made with my two favorite things, champagne and Guinness. What a great combo! I ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich with sausage and pepper jack, topped with a Bloody Mary - I highly recommend both. I wish I knew our servers name to give him credit but he was very attentive and a pleasure to interact with. I'll definitely go back to this little gem :)

Wonderful experience... Found Patsy's through yelp, came to try it out. Bottomless mimosa deal is AMAZING! Food was delicious.... Stack your breakfast sandwich was really good ordered it with eggs over easy. Sister got 4 egg omelette. Very delicious! Service was great sat at the bar. Owner came out and chatted for a while. New favorite brunch place!

I came for brunch on Sunday. We sat outside and had amazing meals along with a $22 mimosa deal (you can order up to two bottles of champagne if you wish and it includes an entree). It was a fabulous deal, although I had no intention of drinking that many mimosas. Service was great. Food was delicious (French toast, skillet). Mimosas were also ideal. Next time, I'll be trying their bloody Mary's. Go! I had a great time.

I've eaten at Patsy's a few times and, I have to say, their food is a thing of beauty. They smoke their own meat for their pulled pork sandwiches, the dry rub on their chicken wings is out of this world (and nothing like you've ever tasted) and the abundance of fresh ingredients they have is out of this world. I would highly recommend Patsy's to anyone and everyone. While I also work in the food industry, I'm going to leave you all with a little word of advice: if you give a smile, you get a smile. Simple as that :)

Haven't been to such a nice pub since I was actually in the UK. Fantastic fish and chips and very pleasant servers. A very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere perfect for a quick meal or relaxing for a long chat with friends. Best of all, fish and chips all you can eat. Definitely give this place a try as soon as you can!

Meh. I wasn't too impressed with the meals that ame out. Of course I probably should have ordered the meatball sandwiches like I was told to. Oops. I guess there's always next time. My burger with cucumbers and a fried egg was just so-so. Maybe it was the bun. I'm not really sure why I wasn't impressed. Hello it had a fried egg on it! Our waiter was kind of awkward, but he meant well, and he got our orders right so it was fine. Of course we had a great time laughing away on the sidewalk tables since it was a nice night, and he didn't rush us so that was a plus. I'd give it a second chance, but not sure how near in the future that will be...

The pulled pork sandwich is DELICIOUS and I like the atmosphere--a good low-key neighborhood bar.

Cozy little bar with a really delicious brunch - fluffy scrambled eggs and the crunchy french toast are my favorites. Mac and cheese bites are good, too. It's also one of the cleanest bars I've ever been to in my life, actually.

This may become my neighborhood bar (when I move to the neighborhood). Great service and they have tater tots. Smallest bar I've been to in Chicago. Did I mention they have tater tots?

(5)Polly P.

(1)Jerome C.
(4)Kelly W.
Great food. Impeccable service. Welcoming atmosphere! We were the first ones in for brunch on a Saturday morning. Maggie and Brian took great care of us. Best skillet's in Chicago, especially the hashbrowns. Will definitely come back!
(5)Vanessa F.
This place is great: there is always a place to sit, consistently great food (fries and wings are some of the best ever) and super friendly bartenders. There are good specials during the week and an outdoor eating area if you feel like eating outside. I pass three other bars to eat here because it's the best in the neighborhood.
(5)Mike S.
had to come back for the wing night. got 15 cajun dry run and 10 buffalo with an order of fries and split with my fiance. we were both pleased (will try something else besides buffalo with the dry rub next time - wasnt a very good combination). the wings were delicious. i wish they had a better beer special to go with their wings but i guess beggars cant be choosers?
(4)Joseph D.
(5)Dustin M.
(5)Cortney R.
This place is cozy and feels like a friend's living room. Don't let the small quarters fool you. Food is awesome and great brunch deals! Devon was our server and he really knows how to make sure his customers leave full and buzzed. :-)
(4)Erin C.
Awesome joint. Great music and grub. Our waiter and bartender Devan served up great recommendations. Pulled pork was smokey but also sweet and the battered fries... Break that diet, they're worth it.
(5)Brett S.
The service was very friendly. The food is not the quickest to come out but it is worth the wait. Hard to find a bar that does the simple food really well. They have great weekly specials. My suggestion to them would be more of a beer selection.
(4)Anthony P.
Absolutely amazing. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The freshness of the food was to "live" for. Truly an exciting brunch. As well the owner was very sweet and personable. Kudos

(5)Robert O.
(5)Jessica F.
The food here is great. The atmosphere was meh though, I wasn't feelin' the football game blasting in my ear or the loud cackling gaggles of bottomless mimosa drunk chicks but I think that was mostly because I was hung over. I'd definitely come here again but not on game day.
(4)Julie R.
We came here for bottomless mimosas brunch. The food was delicious (especially the skillet). All you can drink for only $23 including an entree. The service is very slow so many sure you can spare an hour or two. Overall a great brunch!
(4)David W.
Patsy's is great for a nice low-key brunch. Food is good, fresh, and reasonably priced. Our group took advantage of the brunch special, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would recommended coming here to beat another crowded brunch spot.
(4)Chuck H.
(1)Steve H.
Unheard of!
(5)Stephanie R.
The staff is very friendly, good specials, & a great menu that doesn't disappoint!
(4)Bobby B.
(4)Danny W.
(4)Nikhil M.
(5)Ana M.
(5)Andrew M.
(5)Magen R.
(3)christina h.
Great neighborhood bar. I've been here many times and the food has been excellent. They also have great daily specials for both food and drinks. Brian is my favorite bartender. He's fun and makes great drinks. I always like stopping in when I see him working. Highly recommend this place!
(5)Mallory S.
(2)Loretta P.
(4)Susan F.
(3)Christopher S.
(5)Erika C.
wow. what a pleasant surprise! my boyfriend and i came here for the first time this past Sunday to watch the blackhawks game and redeem our groupon we had recently purchased. don't let the outside fool ya folks. this place is the real deal. if you're looking for a great neighborhood bar who makes you feel at home then patsy's is the place. great entree and drink specials every day of the week! plus a scratch kitchen! yes, the food comes out FRESH. my boyfriend and i split the mac and cheese bites with ranch, and for our main course we got the buffalo chicken wrap and chicken sandwich with fries. both very delicious! okay, now lets get down to business. :)
(5)Andrew K.
had a great time here. atmosphere was comfortable, food was great and the service by server/bartender (tony) couldn't have been better. i'm big on getting good service. i don't expect to be served hand and foot, just to be treated in a respectful manner. tony was definitely that and more. he was friendly, attentive and very easy to get along with. that's a huge plus in my book. if you're looking for a very easy, comfortable neighborhood place to enjoy tasty eats with good service, then this is your place. thanks for the great time!
(4)Lucy N.
(3)Anne L.
(4)Andy K.
This place is solid. Great neighborhood bar and their brunch is the best kept secret in Chicago. Brian and Chris are great. Great service, good people, and really care about your experience. Get the crispy French toast!
(5)Alexandra C.
I love this place. It's somewhere I can go and just hang out on a week night or even on a weekend. The bartenders are great, Bryan especially. They have amazing food. It's a great neighborhood bar. Highlights: Bottomless mimosas on Sunday Breakfast sandwiches Great staff Small and personable

(5)Leah E.
I love this place, the bartender, tony, was beyond friendly and always willing to do whatever we felt like! We spent all afternoon here, and they loved us!
(5)Rachel P.

This place is kind of fabulous. Tiny bar. Huge bar food menu - all of which is delicious... including... TOTS!!! Mmmm. So good. Great bartender. Specials every night. Dart board. Good people. Good beer. Good prices. "Get your woody serviced here"

Nice little bar with good prices and a really nice staff. Check out their deals

Such delicious food!!!! I had the chicken tenders and they were great! The servers were also so friendly. I really like the atmosphere here.
(5)Candace P.

(4)Allison V.
(2)Sophia R.
Awesome place, great food, good specials, and a spectacular brunch. Tony is a good guy and a jolly fellow too. Enjoy. MIMOSAS.
(5)Sarah B.

(4)Mihir P.
Ole Lounge across the street was closed so we stopped here for a beer. The bartender was really friendly. That goes a long way for me as I believe service has been suffering for a long time. They have some great deals so stop in.
(4)Ria C.
(4)Emily C.
My friends and I were doing a "mini drinking tour" around the area and stopped here for dinner. We didn't leave for hours because the food was delicious but the bartender, Tony, was such great company. He was so welcoming, and we will definitely be back.
(5)Ben K.
(5)Ryan S.

(5)Taryn V.
(5)M M.
Friendly Bartender - We had their $5.95 brunch skillet on a rainy Sunday afternoon, it was just great ! Quick service. It's a small place, cozy.
(4)James Michael S.
Stumbled in here with some friends and we were very surprised with the menu offerings. Very large portions and tasty! Very local feeling where the staff makes you feel like you belong here with a quaint vibe.
(4)Nicholle D.

(2)Jim W.
(4)Amanda C.
(3)Gary K.
If the service were better, and the bartender didn't make me feel like he was doing me a favor by serving me, I would give this place 4, maybe even 5 stars.
(2)tammy s.
I'm knocking off a star of my previous favorite bar. Nick and Joe sold it to someone. I haven't been since they sold it but the boyfriend said the music was horrible and so were the tots and pulled pork. HOW CAN YOU SCREW UP TOTS? I am sad inside.
(4)Alexandra B.
(2)Mark P.
(5)Pauly D.
(4)Alcott C.
(3)Kelly G.
(4)Beth G.
(3)allison a.
(4)mcquake j.
Sweet!
(4)Gretchen S.
I had never really noticed Patsy's place, even though I had probably walked by it a hundred times. Out of desperation one night, we got take out from there. The homemade smoked pork sandwich -wow. I will be back!
(5)Nicole B.
The beer battered chicken fingers are da bomb. Yes, I said da bomb. No, I am not ashamed.
(4)Cristine K.
Great neighborhood watering hole with great food. Try their beer battered Nuggets, tastes great with beer.
(4)Nicole C.
-Friendly staff -Good food -Great atmosphere/music Patsy's is a small neighborhood pub that probably can't hold 50 people. It is very relaxed with great service. All of the food that I've tried has been great.
(4)Tim U.
(5)Chi M.
(4)Rose D.
Boo!
(4)Adam M.
i was on a small pub crawl and we stop here for one drink. its a hole in the wall you should check out. it is decent prices and the barterer was nice there is not much to it but you get a real friendly vibe from this place .
(4)Adam F.
(4)Pete H.
(5)Vincent M.
Good, clean bar! Fun times!
(5)Lisa B.
We went to Patsy's on Friday for the fish fry. All the reviews are true...it was awesome. The staff was friendly, the food was fabulous and it had a great neighborhood feel to it. We will definitely be back!!!
(5)Lina V.
(5)N U.
(4)Jenny A.
Love Patsy's! The Beer Nuggets are to die for. Nick the bartender is hilarious, and entirely entertaining. The space is cozy. Unpretentious. Favorite bar on the Lakeview stretch of Lincoln.
(5)Humbolt G.
Can't wait.
(5)Jaime Z.
(5)Jenna S.

Killer deal on weekends and the bartenders were great.
