Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great pizza. I'm very particular about my pizza and my husband and I both agree this is our favorite in the neighborhood (Lou Malnati's is its own thing-- ORD is traditional PIZZA). Love the Charlie salad, and we've order a few different pizzas from here and they've all been great. We've never dined in, usually we get carry out. The pizza is always hot and fresh, thinner crust but still a little fluffy, high quality ingredients, good service. Please go there-- I'd love this place to stick around for a long time!

Pound for pound my favorite pizza place I've ever been to. If you look at my Yelp profile, you'll see that under my interests the only thing I list is "pizza." Everything about this place is great from the service to the food. The other day I called in an order and asked if they had breadsticks because I remember that they didn't the last time I was there and always thought it'd be a delicious addition to the menu. Well, not only did they inform me that they did indeed now have breadsticks, but that I could try them for free. I wasn't surprised to discover that their breadsticks kick just as much ass as their pizza and I'll surely be buying those breadsticks next time I order from there. I've been meaning to write a Yelp review for them for a long time and have never gotten around to it until now, but just believe all the positive things people are saying on here and go grab a six pack (or 12) and head over there. If I wished anything it was that they were open later. I think they close at 10 every night and there have definitely been times where I wanted to order it later than that.

Thin crust pizza I can get behind! So while I am not totally down with all of their signature pizzas, only because they have a lot of toppings I don't care for on my pizza, I was happy to learn that they are more than happy to accommodate for substitutions/deletions (even though the menu says otherwise - guess it pays to be nice and have a smile). Our party went with a half Uncle Jesse/half Theo, sans gorgonzola, add additional parmesan. It was hot and fresh out the kitchen in 10 minutes or so. I love the crust. Thin enough to be a little floppy but thick enough to be fulfilling. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A 16" pizza is plenty for 2 people, even 3. I was a big fan of the pizza and my only wish is that I would have added sundried tomatoes. Next time! Bonus that it's BYOB and double bonus that there is outdoor seating. Price is on point. Rumor has it they have breadsticks, too - must be an off-menu item. I could easily see this becoming a new favorite!

First, I would like to say that as a small food business owner myself, I truly appreciate the fact that the owner has been the person I have interacted with both times I have ordered. And he could not be more pleasant or accommodating! The pizza is very good. Nicely leavened crust, with a great texture, and good, fresh ingredients. They have an entirely reasonable turnaround time for an order as well. This has become my go-to for pizza in this neighborhood.

We just moved to this area and have officially found "our new spot." We ordered a 16" Herbert (roasted eggplant, bell peppers, sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, basil, with mozzarella and crushed tomatoes) for pick-up and it was incredible! The pie was ready in 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon and their staff are really friendly! TIP - if you like a topping less than others, I'd be sure to tell ORD when ordering. They pile the veggies high! All of their specialty pizzas look delicious - I can't wait to try more!

Its great to a delivery pizza that uses brick oven, its just so much better. It taste amazingly good. I suggest any of their menu, but if you try making a customize its really good too.

Great pizza. Great service. Ordered takeout, showed up early, they were super nice and offered water while I was waiting. We ordered a pizza with half Venus and the Colt - excellent. Also, the brownie is really good. It looks like a muffin, but has a gooey chocolate center. Solid pizza!
(5)Emma M.
Simple. Clean. Good pizza. Some of my favorite thin crust in Chicago. Oh and reasonably priced ! most places will tell you they have the "best slice" but ORD truly delivers a quality meal. Nothing outrageous, just good ol' zaaaaaaa (fun throwback soda options and good beers)

Zero stars. Sadly, ORD is no longer a place that we can eat and it's so close to our house... A real shame. Yesterday, we ordered a Venus pizza, which has sausage, onions, tomatoes and red peppers. When I called in the order, I asked him to hold the red peppers and add mushrooms. The owner seemed grumpy, but said he would do it. Then I go to pick up the pizza and the owner was even more grumpy and started lecturing me about how they already discount things so much and they can't make substitutions. I was like, fine, just keep the peppers off my pizza and I'm fine. So, he had a horrible attitude, kept lecturing me, and I explained that my wife and I are seriously allergic to red peppers. I paid for the pizza. I assumed that the pizza had no pepper and had the mushrooms on it. I get home, we start eating. There are mushrooms, but the pizza was loaded with red peppers, tons of them. I spent 20 minutes taking the peppers off one by one to the point I thought we could eat it. So we ate it. My wife ended up being sick all night with a terrible allergic reaction. I spent all day with an upset stomach myself. Horrible experience. Last time I checked, aren't restaurants supposed to offer at least a basic level of customer service. Don't expect it here. This owner's behavior was both inappropriate and baffling. I feel as though the owner put the peppers on the pizza out of pure spite. He seems really gruff and angry about everything. And he doesn't give a damn about his customers if he willfully puts things on a pizza that people ask him to hold for very good reasons like allergies. We will never patronize ORD again. I wouldn't recommend this place at all anymore. If you have food allergies, I would be super careful if you eat here.

I will come here again and again. A month ago, I placed a delivery order and the food came hot and tasty. Cookies are the size of your face. Soft and delicious. Yesterday, I sat down inside and LOVED every minute of it. The people working were so nice and it was pretty empty/close to closing time, so they hooked us up with warm, buttery breadsticks before our pizza came. Tried the brownie this time and oh my god. Yes! Somehow there is a gooey center that I don't understand but I'm not asking any questions. The pizza is wonderful. I ordered the Venus when I dined in and a pepperoni, sausage, and green pepper build your own for delivery. The price is right and you'll leave happy!

Just picked up a pizza and salad. It was delicious! I see you, fresh basil in the tomato sauce! This is a high quality product. Piping hot, great crispy chewy crust. The owner might want to consider adding a corrugated insert in the takeout pizza boxes to help keep the crust dry but I enjoyed pick up and only had to walk a block before I could devour it! Great job to you and your kitchen crew!
(5)Sarah Y.
MmMM! ORD Pizzeria delivered two pies (and gave us must-try breadsticks and brownies on the house) while we drank beers at Half Acre on a busy Friday night. The service and the delivery time was all very commendable. We got our pizzas piping hot, and the pizzas that we got were delicious. One had mushrooms and pepperonis, and the other had sausage. The sauce and toppings were so tasty and the slices are very filling. I can't wait to dine in with them! It's really good pizza! They're open until 10:00 pm, while a lot of restaurants around the Montrose Brown Line are closed at 9 pm. Next time you miss closing time at Spacca Napoli, make sure you give ORD a chance to serve you pizza.

East Coast Pizza Slices!!!! Whooo hoooo. Sorry being from Philly I find it hard to say NY style, even though i have used the term before. Yuck hate NYC, but no need to go off on my hatred for the Mets and Rangers. No need to ask for "Pie Cut' Pizza is a huge plus in my book. More foldable pizza..Chicago can't have enough of these. Love the recent surge of these sort of pizzas. Deep dish you have your time and place, but East Coast is where it's at for slices and quick pizza. So stumbled upon this place while looking for delivery on Sunday. The Yelp pics of slices instantly got my attention, thanks Yelp as always! So went with a basic large pepperoni with a little twist of Jalapeno and roasted garlic. So my only issue was it needed a little more salt and garlic, but these are 2 very big addictions of mine. Which is not very healthy, but I am already eating pepperoni pizza so what's the difference. Like typical Chicago pizza prices I think $20 is still too high, but that's the price of living in Chicago. Delivery was fast, pizza was hot and was eaten for dinner last night. My roommate really enjoyed it as well. I actually think it tasted better heated up. Some good East Coast pies do that for some reason. I am a fan and will be adding this to the rotation. Really like that you can create your own pizza as well.

Going 5 Stars here, great crust/ high quality ingredients/ free delivery? I highly recommend this joint! So far have tried 2 different pizzas.. The "TC" was def the better of the two! Reminiscent of Great Lakes.. someone said and I agree... get dat did!
(5)Riley N.
My new favorite pizza spot. Great crust, flavorful marinara, and interesting toppings. It's obvious that everything is fresh and high quality (which makes everything super delicious). Venus is my fav pizza and the Echo is my fav salad. So happy I discovered this spot!

ORD Pizzeria. Love the pizza. Hate the name. It makes me think of the airport. And being at the airport. Eating airport food. Which is yucky. Not things I really want top of mind when taking a cheat meal head on and ordering a big 'ol pizza pie. Luckily, the pizza is yummy and unique enough to make up in flavor what is lacking in moniker. Really interesting ingredients going on here. Things like herb-roasted potatoes, charred corn, meatballs, and, my favorite, caramelized onions. Mmmmmm.... sweet, mushy onions atop tangy, tomato-y sauce! It's love on crust. While you can certainly order up a classic pepperoni and cheese pie, there are also many foodie-forward options here too for those looking to shake it up a bit. Choices like standard mozzarella versus fresh (artisan) mozzarella and fontina definitely cater to a more discerning taste. Like mine! Ordered up a mozzarella and shaved parmesan pie with caramelized onions, roasted garlic, pepperoni, black olives and fresh basil. It was AMAZE-FAB-TASTIC! Love the ORD style of pizza which is a not thin crust, not deep dish, not woodfired, not neapolitan pizza. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be NYC style (it's not quite that either) but it is the kind that's a bit more doughy while still having a nice crust. See pic if unsure what I mean. Delivery is free, though their delivery area is super small. We live less than 2 miles away and they don't deliver to us. So, we decided to dine in which was a bit of a misstep. On a Sunday evening ORD was empty save for us, the pizza making kids and Sid Vicious. Lots of loud punk music blaring in the background. A date night spot it is not. Really yummy, unique pizza best for carryout or delivery only.

I haven't even had the pizza tonight, and I lurve this place. They don't currently deliver to my address, but they will in a month -- so, they are delivering tonight! Thanks so much, ORD! I'll never forget you. I'll think about you whenever I eat pizza for the rest of my days. Edit: that was GOOD pizza!
(5)Chloe T.
I enjoyed me experience here and I've had many!! I still like the pizza here, although it seems like it has changed a bit. Sometimes on the bottom of the pizza, it tastes a little burned and can be harder than usual, so that kind of stinks. However, the salads remain my favorite!! I rave about them to everyone I know, fresh greens, bursting with flavor through all the added ingredients chosen, pure deliciousness I tell yah! Please do try if you haven't already!
(4)Linh L.
Good and tasty. Great combinations. We ordered the large TC pizza, but instead of pineapples we substituted it for mushrooms. They were very busy. Even though they told me 20 minutes, it was another 20 when we got there to pick it up. Next time (if there is), I would ask them to bake this a little bit longer or cook it well done. They skimp on the sauce and the for/butter so it doesn't make me feel groggy and down afterwards. In other words, this is kind of a healthy pizza.

I put this on a top five list of pickup/delivery-distance pizzas on the north side. Not a clear number one, but definitely one of my favorites. Of course you can build your own pie, but ORD offers a small but shrewdly crafted list of specialty pizzas, so why not go for one of those? The Venus is as alluring as that legendary goddess: fresh sausage, caramelized onions, red peppers, and shaved parmesan. The Colt is a sophisticated version of barbecue chicken pizza without the barbecue sauce: herb-roasted chicken, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and roasted garlic. Or for vegetarian goodness, how about the Herbert: eggplant, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, and basil. As far as the construction of the pie, I give it a qualified thumbs up. It's really, really good; don't get me wrong. Really good and probably unique in Chicago, as others have noted. The crust is outstanding, falling in that Goldilocks zone of thickness and chew vs crunch factor. Ingredient quality is superior, particularly cheese and toppings. In terms of balance though, I find that there is somewhat too much cheese, which makes this a pretty heavy slice. I mean, if you are really hungry, you could take down a twelve-incher...but you ought to feel ashamed afterwards. And I always do. They also offer a few thoughtful salads and cool dressings, e.g. sracha ranch and lemon-honey vinaigrette. Also, free of charge: unlimited sweet alternative rock hits of the 90s.

I really liked the pizza at ORD Pizzeria! I went with a custom pizza and ordered it with arugula, shaved parmesan, sausage, and mozzarella. It was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and delightful. It's hard to describe the style of the pizza as others have noted. Its not deep dish, but its not thin crust either. The slices are big, but not quite NYC style big. I'd personally like the crust to be a touch thinner, but thats just my preference. The crust itself was crispy, and tasty along with the rest of the pie. I'd definitely be back, and plan on ordering from ORD in the future for delivery.

I bowed out and ran for cover when Jon Stewart (my biggest celebrity crush) opened up the flood gates and started another wave of NYC-vs-CHI Pizza battle last November... ... Until the chilly temps set in again & a disturbingly still Tues. evening in May had me craving crushed tomatoes and garlic comforts held within a fresh-dough bed of delivery pizza. I don't know how to thank ORD Pizza for pulling me out of a midweek/season/food funk, so I'll just simply say, it's the best pizzeria experience I've ever had in Chicago. The sauce is fresh and fantastic. I ordered the Venus (Goddess of Pizza Love) and had some of the freshest breadsticks to cushion my food coma blow. I took my dog for a walk between ordering delivery and their 'Zza ETA. After hustling back from an evening walk in the park, I had to promptly wash my dog after she gleefully rolled in some sorta rancid. My delivery arrived right as I toweled her off, and I looked at her sullen face to say "THANK GOD THERE IS PIZZA!". The GIANT, not-shy-on-the-choco-chip Cookie not only made the whole journey worth it, but it was enough to make me forget about John Stewart's betrayal in November. All Around!!

ORD...WTF? I guess that if you're going to name yourself after an airport (a place notorious for disorganization, late arrivals, rude workers and lousy food) you may not have great business sense. That was born out tonight. Generally they have a pie decent enough to overlook lack of online ordering, limited phone lines and a menu lacking options...but it's not good enough to excuse a really crappy demeanor. Maybe tonight I called during a robbery or just caught a major a-hole employee...I guess I'll give them another shot eventually (sooner if I read about a robbery tomorrow), but there are way too many good pizzas in this town to deal with jerks when I'm looking for dinner. After receiving a busy signal for 10 minutes (A busy signal?! How retro!), I finally got through, but was put on hold with an indecipherable grunt. On (re)pickup I tried ordering over a blaring hipster soundtrack in the background, and 3 tries on my name and another 3 on the address weren't enough to convey the right street name. No worries....MAYBE it was a bad connection...perhaps they were just too busy there; given the trouble getting through I wasn't going to try to call back, so I just repeated the address louder, at which point ORDude protested, "No need to be pissed off!" As I explained that I wasn't pissed, just hungry I realized I was talking to a dead line. Did he actually hang up on me? I called back. 5 times (the last 3 more based on principle/curiosity) - it rang-and-rang-and-rang but they wouldn't pick up. Really? If you're going to have insufficient phone lines, no online ordering, and jackass employees you better have REALLY GOOD 'za. This ain't it. I'll probably give them another crack at the rotation down the road (and hate to penalize a biz if the problem is only an outlying worker), but for now I'll skip the airport experience.
(2)Galen G.
This place is awesome! The crust is amazing, one of the top pizza places on the north side.
(5)Ziggy I.
1st experience: Middle-of-the-road, overly doughy crust (just as others describe), good quality toppings. Decent on the whole, but not worth the price. 2nd experience: Burnt. To. A. Crisp. Will not be giving them a third chance.
(1)Janet A.
Currently my favorite pizza in Chicago, and one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I rate it up there with the former Great Lake, which was named the best pizza in the entire country (when it was still open). The flavors are amazing and the ingredients are super fresh and high quality. The staff and owner/chef have always been very friendly and bend-over-backwards accommodating. They seem to have a solid team and be running a great operation from my experience. BTW I have tried the pizza by the slice, and it was amazing. Def some of the best pizza I have ever had, even by the slice.
(5)Thos M.
ORD is good place to dine if you are in the Witness Protection Program cause probably no one will make eye contact with you, come by your table and say how ya doing, hows the food. You will be served in as few words as possible. You might like that. The pizza was good and it was most def not over salted. To me they could ask if you want it on the crispy side cause ours could have stayed in a little longer. The place is clean and the pizza was id say what 25% better than some well known competitors but the all important dining experience could be improved with a little verbal chatter.
(3)Beth B.
This will be my new go to place in my neighborhood. ORD pizza is perfect combination of chewy and crispy. The ingredients were very fresh and the topping portions are quite generous. I love the cilantro on the TC. Thanks for that delicious move! Also ORD cuts the pie into triangle slices, as I firmly believe it should be. If you dine in, it's BYOB and there are just a few tables so you can expect friendly and attentive service. The free delivery is great - we were quoted 45 minutes and our guy arrived in 40. I highly recommend you try this place.
(5)Peater J.
Great pizza. My go-to place for pizza. I love the Louie Pizza w/ Pepperoni, fresh sausage, spicy coppa w/ mushrooms and roasted red pepper. My favorite thing about this place is the toppings. Expertly prepared. fresh and PERFECTLY seasoned. It's not deep dish pizza, but the crispy, non-greasy, stretched crust pizza is the perfect vehicle for their delicious toppings. I'm a fan!
(5)PV R.
So I don't know about you, but when I eat a pizza I don't like eating what myself and my flatmate consider "cardboard". and thats exactly what we had the other day a stiff, what seemed like burnt crust over topped pizza. A good pizza is a fine balance, can't be too crispy or too flimsy, and the toppings need to be proportional to the size of the pie as well... not to mention if there are 4 toppings I don't expect an entire layer of each, because that is down right nasty. For the money this place isn't worth it, with what I spent on that 16 inch pie we could have gotten a better deal somewhere else.
(1)Beth R.
I don't mean to sneeze on the wedding cake, but ORD is not-for-me. Their many five star reviews indicate that I may be in the minority. I recognize that people like different types of pizza, and I'm happy that those who appreciate this kind have it, among the deep dishes and pans and party-cut thins. But I can't get into the floppy slices. And I had high expectations when others lauded the fresh ingredients, but I just didn't get that from the spinach on our pie. Finally, and I say this as I pull a tarp over my head like a Gallagher audience member anticipating getting struck with watermelon - the cheese was greasy and orangey in spots. I am sad to say that our pizza was reminiscent of Domino's, the last time I had it in 1997. Okay, hit me. On the plus side, delivery is free and that is a rare and fragile beast, worthy of generous tips and careful husbandry. Their menu items also have cute names, at least a few of which allude to '80s TV characters. I also have to give a thumb up to offering a (Rice) crispy treat even though I didn't order it. If they had more than one type of crust, I'd give it a second go. But in the words of another '80s TV icon, Alan Thicke, "Well the world don't move/to the beat of just one drum/What might be right for you/May not be right for some....It takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world." And my drum beat ain't floppy.
(2)Christopher M.
Here's to good business. Great pizza, first off. INCREDIBLE customer service. I live down the street for ORD. Been going there since last winter, but it had been a while (trying to drop some weight and pizza doesn't always fit into that). Anyway, we go in last week and get a pie to go. It was handed to us and we went home. At home, we open and find that the pizza is covered in onion, which I am allergic to. Gave them a call and they saif the next 12" is on them. Cut to tonight. When I call to get our free pie, Dan, the owner, apologizes and, since he wasn't there, wanted to know the rundown, I tell him and I feel he genuinely feels bad about it. When I pick up the pizza, not only does he comp me the pizza, he gives us the bigger size and throws in some pop. After talking about the 'hood for bit, I take off knowing that I am lifelong fan. That is how you handle a mistake. BTW, the New York-style pizza is the bomb. Incredible combos - The TC is my fav, jalapenos, Spicy Coppa and cilantro, oh my! - and the crust is perfect.
(5)Sid B.
Simply the best non-deep dish pizza in Chicago. Just wow. Ingredients are so fresh it tastes home made, like you just walked from your farmer's market and chopped up the ingredients and cooked them yourself. Worth. Every. Penny. Every.
(5)Malcolm B.
Do you know why it's called "ORD Pizzeria?" I do! It's definitely NOT because it's ordinary... Ask the owner who also operates the place and he'll happily tell you, as he told me! (Or maybe you can figure it out through their simple, but eloquent, website.) The Venus pizza with its sausage and caramelized onions and shaved Parmesan and red peppers is amazing!! I wrote it like that because I started thinking about ordering again... Don't judge... I also get slices for a quick meal and they do those awesomely well. EAT THIS PIZZA!
(5)Ryan R.
I've been in the area for 11 years and this is by far the best pizza joint in the area in that time frame. The staff is friendly enough for a high volume place. The pizza is thin with a bubbly crust. I love that there is a bit of grease in the box. So good! We also get the echo salad from time to time as not to be complete pigs. All around great place.
(5)Maria W.
My pizza was served cold and over cooked (taste like cardboard), I was there around 9p. Slices are already cooked and they just heat them up, which is ok if you know what you are doing. This place does not. For thin slice pizza, Jimmy's pizza is 100 times better. There is also a weird atmosphere in the place, making it hard to relax. I give this place another year if that.
(1)Mark O.
Rated a 3, but closer to 3.5. Quality ingredients and interesting flavor combinations, but the crust is flavorless aside from the char. Dough needs seasoning and chewiness to get this to a 5.
(3)Mike K.
First off, I love pizza... I appreciate Neapolitan-style wood fired to deep dish and everything in-between. I'll keep this simple to help my fellow pizza enthusiasts; Crust - fantastic, like a great French baguette - Crunchy on the outside and light on the inside. Great texture and flavor. Sauce - fresh and good (crushed tomatoes) but slightly too bland for me. I would prefer some extra kick. I recommend adding the roasted garlic topping to your pizza. It adds what the sauce may be missing. Toppings - fresh veggies, sausage and everything else I've tried is good. Salads - very good. They obviously pride themselves on fresh ingredients and it shows. Personal favorites are the Oscar and Charlie. Lastly, the staff - always cool and easy going. I have absolutely no idea what the small minority are talking about. I've been here maybe 8 times (some carryout, some delivery) and have always had a positive experience. There is one guy in particular (maybe the owner??) who is always very friendly and chill. Special mention: Good music if you dine-in or carryout. Summary: Great neighborhood pizza place with fresh toppings and fantastic crust.
(4)D S.
The food is okay. The toppings are good, it's all nice and fresh. The crust is pretty eh doughy stuff. But the phone system is awful. Put me on hold for five mintues (it's a pizza joint, it doesn't take that long to deal with your other customers.) with no indication that I'm actually on hold, until I get disconnected (and then a busy signal when I call back) is pretty awful. Can't keep up with your incoming calls? Hire more staff, hire a call taking service, say "we're too busy". Random disconnects and busy say "call someone else!".
(2)Layne S.
Ordered from here a few times. The pizza and delivery are good. The crust is a bit crunchy for me yet the fresh toppings and unique chunky tomato sauce make me want to eat the pizza. The sauce is seasoned well and compliments yet doesn't overpower the other flavors. It's a good alternative to all the other pizza places in the hood.
(4)amy c.
Update...nothing is better about this place. Choose Spacca Napoli unless you want greasy, gross pizza! Furthermore. I was disgusted listening to 2 of the workers chat with a customer about a coworker, Dan. It was clear the employees were glad Dan was not around as often and other words were exchanged which shows they are very unprofessional! Not sure how this place stays in business. And, they continue to look unprofessional and low-class too with boxes in their window overnight. I don't get it.
(1)Nicole H.
I walked in and was greeted warmly. I like that! I decided to get a slice. When you order a slice, you can get any of the toppings added which is pretty cool. This was a first for me. I decided to buy a slice of cheese pizza because I like cheese pizza. A lot. It was 10 inches-a nice size. It had a nice taste to it. There's a small seating area and the prices are fair.
(3)Paige M.
ORD is one of those places that is trying really, really hard. Which is better than not trying at all. But still slightly below getting it "right". My three-star review is for the dine-in experience. Service was slow from the get-go. Seemed like they didn't have their "system" totally worked out yet. There was a single girl at the counter taking dine-in, carryout AND delivery orders. It wasn't even busy for dine-in, so I can't imagine the service on a busy night. Music was too loud and their playlist was full of hipster hits (Lana Del Rey over and over) which again just indicates to me they are trying too hard. Inside the restaurant, they didn't turn the lights on until we were literally dining in the dark. Which is fine I guess-- but they should realize they look closed from the outside if they don't have lights on inside! Finally, once our food arrived my guest and I agreed that we could oversee the small annoyances because the pizza was definitely redeeming. Came out super hot and cooked perfect. Ingredients were fresh and blended well. Next time we will do carry-out or delivery.

Since Ranalli's closed three years ago, Ravenswood has been waiting for a suitable neighborhood replacement. Finally! It's here. There are many things to recommend ORD. BYOB. Hand-tossed thin crust pies (not as totally floppy as I'd like, but good for sure). Nice salads. I'll be back.

I have been in search of a hand tossed pizza that compares to my favorite on MN called Pizza Luce. The pictures and reviews lured me to ORD. Ordered the large TC for delivery and they said it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour. an hour and a half later our pizza showed up. It looked good on top when I opened the box until I picked up a piece and it was rock hard and burnt on the bottom. Every thing else just tasted bland and over powered by the burnt flavor. Might of been okay if it had not been burnt but I am not willing to spend another $25 and hour and a half of my life to find out.

Ordered for the first time tonight and very satisfied. First off, person taking my order was great and delivery was very prompt. Salad was huge and very fresh and the pizza is excellent. Fresh toppings and great tomato sauce. Crust might be just a tad overdone, but still a very solid 4 stars.

New York style pizza in Ravenswood? Blasphemy! As my rating would indicate, I was pleasantly surprised. Try the 16 inch thin crust with caramelized onions and green peppers. Eight slices serves two-three. Crust is tasty too. Reasonably priced and quick delivery.
(4)James H.
My biggest surprise ... a thin crust pizza that actually has a crispy under-crust. They invested in the proper oven and technique. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, BYOB, free delivery, fresh, NYC style. Order here. You will not be disappointed.
(5)Christina R.
I love this pizza!! Hands down one of my favorite pizza spots. My go to pizza is cilantro and mushrooms. Their brownie is amazing. It's BYOB as well. It's NOT your typical Chicago style pizza(which to be honest I'm not a fan of the deep dish). I can't say anything bad- pizza delicious, salads not too bad, desserts yum. Their customer service is great.

I popped in on a walk down Ashland around 2pm. The owner (I think) or possibly chef or manager was very nice and welcoming. He talked about the pizzas etc after I asked if they had "by the slice" which they do. He explained the sausage and how it was some nicer type craft made type. And I have to admit it was pretty amazing. You pick the toppings yourself and I chose mushrooms and onions. That's where things went sour. He was very kind and he brought it to my table and said something like "ya, thats a good combo you chose, it looks good to me too." Maybe it's only when they do it by the slice, but it didnt look good to me. It seemed to me as if the basically they had the sausage/cheese pizza made, threw some onions and mushrooms on it and heated it up. It wasn't a sausage/mushroom/onion slice. It was a sausage slice with raw mushrooms and onions on it. The vegetables themselves were good, but it was a mess to eat bc they werent cooked and really within the cheese so they just all fell off. This is probably just a problem when they do by the slice, but if they can't make it work by the slice, they should just sell whole pies, or limit the by the slice options to ones that taste good and work. Again, the sausage was awesome, but the functionality of the slice was poor and the effort was poor. I would try it again, but order a whole pie and see what it's like. It seems like it would be great, although quite pricey.

Ok so I have now been here at least five times. Location, price and slices make it a reasonable place to frequent. After I posted my first review the next slice I got was heaped with toppings. After that it was back to stingyness. There are always new people in the kitchen so there is either inconsistency or miscommunication or both; with the grease and cooking time. Whoever the manager of this place is needs observe his employees in action and figure out what he wants the pizza he serves to look like. After that I will be happy to raise my review to four or even five (gasp) stars. Aside from the aforementioned phone altercation all my interactions with employees have been wonderful so they definitely have that going for them as well!

I have a love-hate relationship with ORD. It is one of the most inconsistent pizza places I order pizza from. Half the time, I get perfectly good pizza that I thoroughly enjoy eating it. The other half, I get pizza that I really dislike and regret ordering pizza from ORD. What spurred me to write this review is because the past two times I've ordered, I received pizza that was over-cooked. I couldn't even enjoy my favorite part of the pizza, the crust, because it was too crispy and hard - like a crouton. I'll continue to order from ORD because there are only a few pizzerias in my area that deliver and I occasionally crave the Theo pie. This place needs to be more consistent with its pizza.
(3)Samuel E.
Delicious. I used to live right by these guys. They are serious about providing high quality NY style pizza with somewhat exotic topping options (and every classic topping too.) Best thing is: a giant slice is big enough to feed a grown man for dinner and cheap enough to be the go-to. I'm drooling thinking of this place.

There are three main pillars that can be used to evaluate a restaurant. Food, price, and service. If an establishment excels at one of the pillars, it can be forgiven for being a bit lax on the other two. Unfortunately, ORD Pizzeria does not excel at any of the three. I have had pizza all over the world and have a varied palate and a fairly good idea of what constitutes a good slice. I've had pizza from here three times. Although the pizza here is above average with the crust being the most interesting aspect, the higher price point and poor customer service leave much to be desired. I most recently had a pick-up order of the Colt, and it was an utter failure. The pizza crust was soggy, the chicken was dry, and most of the other toppings were flavorless. It was obvious that the ingredients were not fresh. Upon bringing it up with the owner, Daniel, the next day giving him feedback with the honest intention of just sharing my thoughts and not expecting any freebies, I was pretty much met with defensiveness. Although he said he was sorry this happened and they would've replaced the pizza last night if I had asked, his tone and body language were telling me he was not accepting what I was telling him and he hinted that maybe the pizza I got was the way it was supposed to be and my taste was off. No points for customer service here, and I don't know of any person who wants a pizza that is both soggy and dry. Honestly, I can only suggest that, if you order from here, it will be hit or miss. You may get a good pizza, but you may equally get a bad one. Either way, you will pay their higher price. If you do get a bad one, they will replace it, but will you actually go through the trouble to replace it? (and will it have any "extra" ingredients added if you do?) Don't expect great service. If they tell you your pizza will be ready in 30 minutes, you may get there and have to wait another twenty. I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, for my time and money, I'm sad to say there are plenty of other places I would rather go.

Came here on a whim looking for some eats, trying to escape the Cubs game traffic madness. Very pleased with how everything panned out. Super delicious pizza. Very friendly staff. Good music. Great establishment. Thankfully not too busy for a Saturday night. Order a Rose pizza. You will not be disappointed. It is one of the most delicious pizzas I have had the pleasure of eating in my lifetime.
(5)Cory W.
Great pie, great staff - worry checking out! Fresh and inventive ingredients, great specialty pies and generally a great pizzeria
(5)Dean C.
The wife and I love this place. The owner is nice and the pizza is our new favorite. The red sauce is the best but you really can't go wrong. I also appreciate the BYOB policy and the craft soda collection. Little unknown fact, the pizza oven they use has been in that location for over 60 years and when you go there you get the feeling it has never made pizzas that good before.
(5)Jeremy T.
I was disappointed, even tempted to give only 2 stars, but I want them to succeed. Caveat: I don't order pizza very often anymore, because I mainly eat a vegan diet these days. I enjoy either a disgusting piece of deep dish pizza (may never eat it again, but it's tasty!) OR cracker-thin pizza. That's the only kind I typically order anymore. I cannot stand a pizza where the ratio of crust to cheese to sauce to toppings favors bread or cheese too much. I want to taste the sauce and I want to taste the ingredients, and I certainly don't want to eat 3000 calories of bread. For these reasons and more, I LOVE Pizza Apart. Some of the reviews for this place compared the two favorably. But this pizza is nothing like Pizza Apart. I found the crust to be too doughy. And I also found the cheese to be a bit off. I'm not sure if there was just too MUCH cheese, or if it was poor quality cheese, OR if it was my vegan tendencies just getting grossed out. The sauce was tasty, and the toppings were fine. Their menu is great, and very vegetarian-friendly in terms of their special pizza creations. Also on paper, their salads excited me. I got the one with figs and blue cheese and it was extremely rich, almost too rich to eat. I probably just ordered the wrong salad, but by the time I had eaten half of it, I was almost full. I also got a side of homemade chipotle (or poblano?) ranch, which had the consistency of water and was absolutely vile. Free delivery was prompt and the customer service aspect was great. I wish them luck, but I doubt I'll ever order again.
(3)Greg L.
What a pleasant surprise finding this place was! Lots of pizza options or build your own. We also split a salad which was nice a fresh. The alcohol option is BYOB, so grab your favorite pilsner (Pony Pils, anyone?) and come on over. A 12" was a great sized pizza for date night for two people. The crust was thin, but not super thin and crunchy. Lots of seats, carry out or deliver available. People were friendly. Order at the counter and you'll be served in 10-15 minutes. Good deal!

I went here on a Friday night with a friend. We'd had a few beers, and thought pizza sounded good. "Eff it," we thought. "Let's give it a shot." First impression: the storefront itself isn't much to write home about. It's small, not a lot of decor, and they played a lot of music from when I was in high school (seriously, it was like 50% Killers' songs, not that this is a bad thing). Also, the pizza is expensive. There's no getting around that. $23 for a 16" pie is steep, especially considering a Chicago's Pizza is down the street. If you're just looking for a quick, cheap, greasy piece of pizza, then this isn't the place for you. But if you're willing to pay, it's absolutely worth the money. The Louie pizza is amazing, and you get the real sense that this isn't just them jacking up the price because they're in Ravenswood; the money goes into the pizza. The toppings on it are sublime, the crust is perfect, and the sauce is phenomenal. Is it my go-to place? Probably not just because of the price; I don't make enough money to where I can feel comfortable dropping a Jackson and change on a pizza on the reg. But if you want a pizza that will impress and are willing to spend the money, give this place a shot.

Been meaning to try this spot out since they opened. They are in the 'hood and always like to support the locals. To echo other reviewers' comments -- the neighborhood was in dire need of a great pizza joynt. First off, the pizza is very, very good. Ingredients are of the freshest quality and you can tell much care went into the preparation of the pie. We had the Venus (fresh sausage, caramelized onion, roasted red peppers, shaved Parmesan, mozzarella and crushed tomatoes). Crust was done right; although, if i had one gripe, the inside layer was a little mushy because of the fresh crushed tomatoes. Sausage had a nice fennel spice to it. Shaved Parm was a nice touch. I think I will try another Specialty Pie next time for comparison. Also had the Echo salad. Good tasting. Everything in it was again very fresh. No nasty brown leaves in sight. Sriracha Ranch dressing was another nice touch. Only downside here was I would have liked the smoked bacon to be a little more crispy. All and all good neighborhood spot. I will order from them again. Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen. Venus pizza: A- Echo salad: B FREE DELIVERY!
(4)Patrick U.
Professional staff. Reliably solid pizza with good salads. Better than your average pizza joint
(4)Ann R.
Delish. The neighborhood needed this place. What makes their pies are the great ingredients. The pizzas are so delicious it's easy to polish off a little more than you otherwise would, but thanks to fresh, quality toppings, you aren't left feeling like you ate a brick. Or at least a brick that makes you feel really, really guilty. My favorite pie is the Cliff, with red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, black olives, artichokes, feta, and mozz. The olive oil they dress the pie with is out of this world!! Also, many thanks to the friendly delivery folks. It's been a horrible winter and your friendly, fast delivery has made it a little more bearable. I'm so impressed you've all been able to keep those smiles on your faces too! Delivery customers - tip big!!
(5)Katie C.
One of Lakeview's most well-kept secrets. The fresh ingredients make the food noticeably better than other pizza joints. My top three recommendations are: 1. The Colt 2. Louie 3. Venus
(5)Kyle F.
Well it only took five years but I finally found a pizza place in Chicago that's perfected the crust. Not too thin, not too thick and layered with fresh sauce and ingredients. Quick and free delivery makes ORD a must for everyone in the area. Seriously, guys. Don't change.
(5)Hal C.
Figured I would get my two cents in early and help out a local business: It's fantastic. Fast (and FREE) Delivery. Noticeably fresh ingredients. Great specialized pizzas (honestly had a hard time picking but ended up getting the TC; I'd highly recommend it). It's not inexpensive, but don't let prices scare you away if you're in the mood for a good pizza. You honestly do get what you pay for here. Keep in mind I'm only one delivery in, but the quality guaranteed it would not be my last.
(5)K S.
SO GOOD. The pizza is really amazing. And the staff is so genuine. I had been meaning to try this place for a while. Ran in to get a slice one time and they were out of slices. That's the only reason they're not getting 5 stars. I ordered a 16' half sausage half cheese pizza for my boyfriend & I to split at 9:10pm tonight. They close at 10pm. The gentleman on the phone said 50 minutes. Spot on. Brought the pizza upstairs and it was all sausage. I really didn't want to call & complain. That's not me, but my boyfriend insisted I call. I'm a vegetarian and there was too much sausage for me to pick off (which is probably a good thing for meat eaters). Anyway, I ended up calling back at 10pm, the minute they closed, and the guy was super nice. Said they'd do whatever they needed to to rectify the situation. I asked for the 12' cheese and it was at my door in half an hour. I wouldn't take a star off for that though because it was worth the wait and because the staff was so appreciative of my business. Great food & customer service. Very excited to have ORD in the neighborhood.
(4)Andre P.
Let's start with the pizza! Great crust - not so Chicago style for a place named after O'hare, but closer to a New York style crust. Fresh ingredients, tasty sauce, topped with cheesy goodness - ummm! We had the Louie - a meat lovers paradise! The place is also BYOB, but be prepared to set your own table (which my girlfriend and I were fine with - this place is not for high maintenance people - it's for great pizza!). So, if you love pizza, give ORD a shot.
(5)Kimberly B.
We had the Venus pizza (16", $22) and the Victor salad (full, $9). The full salad was definitely enough to split amongst three people as an intro/appetizer (and with some left over!). It was fine. It wasn't amazing. I probably wouldn't have chosen it with a different group -- I knew I wouldn't think that combination of things was amazing going in, but it was the only salad we could agree on. The ingredients were super fresh (corn just off the cob, still in little groups from where it was cut). The Venus pizza was really good. It was good fresh upon arrival. It was good after sitting on the plate for about twenty minutes and I suspect Sam will tell us it was good the next morning. And now a story: So, the three of us all have two slices and -- cut traditional pie style -- there are two slices left. And I knew I was full and I knew it was a mistake, but all of a sudden, I decide to cut one of those slices in half (yes, I'm one of those people) and eat it. You know how after eating for a while and being basically full usually the next bite is kind of like "okay, so you've done this already, who cares"? No, it was AMAZING. The juices must have soaked in perfectly or something but Sam and I looked at each other and were like "this is fantastic!" It was BYOB without a corkage fee (sweet!). You pay at the counter when you order, which threw me a bit because I had to pre-tip since I paid on a card and didn't have the right cash for a cash tip later. The best pizza in Ravenswood (yeah, you heard me -- best in Ravenswood).
(4)Lindsay D.
Pizza is absolutely delicious. Crust is substantial with a crunch but not too thin, and overall it's not too salty. I'm very picky about the quality of ingredients and the owner here is too. BYOB if you want to eat in. The place is fresh, airy and very clean. And the Echo salad with Siracha ranch dressing? Oh my, I will be craving that again.
(5)Hunter C.
Awesome East coast pizza! Super friendly staff. The Uncle Jesse is our new family favorite. The inside is spotless with about 8 to10 small tables. Takeout is a snap. They leave out ubiquitous takeout lexicon (DanQFoCalling-KyeTakeYoOrder), they are polite, and make suggestions. Suggestions?! ....for takeout pizza?! As if they're excited for you to eat their num-num creations. Must try, but wait 20 so I can get my order in first. :)
(5)Liz S.
I am so glad to have a great new pizza place in Ravenswood and ORD is beyond great, it's FANTASTIC. We have eaten here for lunch, ordered delivery for client meetings and even done a pickup for dinner. I have been impressed by every kind of pizza my co-workers and I have tried. The ingredients are always fresh and amazingly never greasy (even on the Louie which is stuffed with meat). I am not sure what they put into their pizza sauce but it's EXCELLENT. It's quiet at lunchtime but generally pretty hopping at dinner. Give it a try, one of the best pizza places in Chicago.
(5)Stuart B.
Great pizza, great crust, lots of options for toppings and prices are reasonable. I am not a huge fan of deep dish style, this is more of a thinner crust. I agree with one of the reviewers about the name of the place -- i mean really, is this the best name you could come up with? In any event this doesn't stop me from coming back.
(4)Eric S.
This is our favorite pizza place in Lakeview - particularly for delivery. We tried ORD on a whim one day for lunch - the pizza and salad we ordered were both excellent. The staff was super-friendly and authentic. The pizza is better than anything I've had in a long time. Not quite east coast style but more-so than the other pizza places in Lakeview. The ingredients taste fresh and high quality. We've ordered delivery multiple times since our first visit and it's been great every time. Friendly delivery -- I think but am not 100% sure that the owner delivered it themselves once. Really worth checking out - their prices are good, the service is friendly and their food has been spot-on each time.
(5)Rachel S.
Got a pizza to-go and walked home (5 min away) to find the center 4 inches of the pizza box was wet, so I knew the middle of the pizza was going to be a soppy mess. When I picked up a slice it just drooped like a dish rag. Perhaps the dough in the middle was spread too thin? I won't be back.
(2)KW K.
LOVED this place! I live very close and have not made it over to ORD until this past Sunday. 3 friends and I were out and about walking around and decided we wanted pizza. I suggested ORD to check it out. 2 of my friends I was with had been there and said they really liked it (especially the Louie). As soon as we walked in we were greeted with hellos and warm smiles. Water came immediately to our table and the ordering began. We got the Louie which was excellent! We also ordered a small Cliff (no olives), which was just as excellent! We ordered the Oscar Salad which was more than large enough for the 4 of us us, and breadsticks that were to die for!!! We mentioned it was our first time there and they gave us a free brownie, that we did NOT have room for but took it home. It is BYOB which is great, and the service was very fast. I am so glad I went. I can't wait to take others in the neighborhood here!
(5)Anne G.
Popped in for lunch today. First visit. I will be back. Three of us split the full salad with figs, blue cheese and walnuts. Delish and plenty to share. Each of us had a slice. (They have cheese pizza by the slice and then you can add whatever additional ingredients). Crispy crust, flavorful sauce, fresh ingredients. Good service. Don't love the name, but I loved the food.
(4)Sara W.
Love this place. Although we are a little outside their delivery zone, they have made several exceptions to deliver to us. Their Venus pizza is AMAZING!!! I hope they keep making exceptions because we cannot get enough.
(5)Annie R.
Holy pizza. This is the best pizza I've had since Great Lake Pizza in Andersonville closed, except it's cheaper and WAY less pretentious. I was MUY impressed. And the salads were great. We will be back for more.
(5)Aaron S.
The pizza reminded me of a New York style pizzeria- thin crust but floppy slices, not crispy. Great topping choices for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The people behind the counter were wonderful! One of our pizzas was cooked wrong and the chef came out and apologized for the wait and offered me a free salad while I was waiting. Great customer service and the salad was great too!
(5)Erich B.
I really like this place. The pizza is great, you can even get it by the slice if you go during the day. The salads are great too. They also have a handful of oddball sodas that compliment your meal. Really happy this place is so close to my apartment.
(5)Ryan K.
I have left great feedback before about ORD, so this is just to piggyback onto that. The product is fantastic, really fresh ingredients, flavorful pizza and toppings, and it really is the best pizza in Chicago. The customer service is pretty great and accomodating as well. The only thing that is ever an issue, is consistency. Every once in a while, the crust will be a little burnt, which can throw off the flavor profile for the whole pizza. I still love this place, and I order from here all the time like a fat fat. This little bit of feedback is just for them to make sure that crust doesn't burn :)
(5)Marley F.
Great pizza, fresh ingredients, attentive staff. I went here with a few friends (both vegetarian and meat-eaters), and we were all able to find a wonderful selection of freshly prepared pizzas. We also split some salads which were amazing! I am definitely coming back.
(5)Jason P.
Ord has great pizza, fresh and delicious. They also have great brownies and cookies. I am writing this review because the customer service is outstanding. I ordered pizza for this years Super Bowl during the 5th largest snow storm in Chicago's history. Due to the weather and because I live close I decided to pick up my order. When I got home I realized one of the pizza' s I ordered was incorrect. Whether I misspoke or I was miss heard the owner did not even question me when I called back. He simply made me another pizza and had it delivered free of charge so I did not have to go back out and miss the second half. Thank you ORD pizza I will definitely order again and will spread the word about your wonderful product and service.
(5)Kate H.
Everyone I know likes this place more than I do. Ordering is always hard: last order I was on hold for 5 minutes, which seemed excessive for a weekday afternoon. My favorite pizza is the thin crust cheese with basil (free topping, yay!). Just tried "the Rose" (arugula, herb-roasted potato, caramelized onion, roasted garlic, roasted corn; with fontina and mozzarella cheese & herb-infused olive oil, s/p) which was SUPER BLAND. The Theo (multiple cheeses) was decent. Best thing by far (DO NOT MISS IT): the brownie. Squishy on the inside but firm enough on the outside to stay together. Last time they delivered they were about 5 minutes late and gave me a brownie as compensation. I say, if they're going to give a free brownie every time, they can be 10 minutes late.
(3)Aaron D.
My wife and I have lived in this neighborhood now for 4 years and have been waiting for a great pizza place, and I think we found it! The main event- The pizza was great; crisp crust, medium/thin thickness, and most importantly a burst of fresh flavors. All of the ingredients were fresh, flavorfull and filling. The prices were very good considering the amount of toppings and quality. The atmosphere- Crisp, clean, urban design with great simplistic attention to detail. The music playing was at just the right volume for talking and was very current for the 20-40'ish crowds. The people- We were a little confused when walking in, not knowing it was a walk-up-and-order sort of place. But were quickly greeted and and told we could sit at any table. We brough our own wine knowing it was a BYOB and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Amazing pizza, fun atmosphere...go, eat, enjoy!
(5)Tricia W.
Updating this review, as we recently went back and had a much better dine-in experience. The first time we were told that if we wanted water we had to buy it by the bottle...this time we were given a glass bottle for the table, that was refilled once. The first time it was a huge inconvenience for the counter girl to give us glasses, this time they were given right away. The food here is still amazing, this is going to be firmly in our take-out rotation.
(5)Thanh L.
Had a delicious pizza and salad there last Friday. The atmosphere is low key. You order and pay for everything at the counter and they bring out the food to the table when ready. It's also a BYOB. Check it out!
(4)T L.
Solid 4 star. Good price, not greasy. Yes, there's a lot of good pizza our there but ORD Pizzeria is better then most. I ordered a pizza with a lot of meat yet it was surprisingly light and without much grease. Supporting a local pizzeria is easy when it's this good. Server was very attentive and friendly.
(4)Sam Ryan W.
Best pizza in Chicago! Every time I order from here it's on time, delicious, and delivered with a smile. The Louie pizza and Oscar salad are my faves, but I have yet met an ORD pizza that I haven't loved. Soooo yummy!
(5)Bonnie H.
ORD Pizzeria is a great addition to the neighborhood! Pizza is fresh and flavors are not your typical combinations which i like. I do agree with another poster that it is nothing like Apart Pizza, it isn't, but that's OK. I love Apart, but its just not the same style. I love pizza period. I love all types of pizza and order based on what type i'm in the mood for and there is definitely space for ORD in my rotation. Staff is friendly, shop is cute and I really appreciate new BYOBs that pop up in my neighborhood with good food. Will definitely go back.

Comparable to sex.
(5)Sabrina S.
Welcome to the neighborhood. I wouldn't classify this as a Lakeview location, but more Ravenswood/uptown. Great pizza and really fresh awesome salads. We are pizza purists and I grew up on East coast so for me, i am always looking for pizza akin to NY style, and these guys come very very close. I have not tried any of specialty pizzas - but who needs all that stuff when the cheese and crust are fantastic. Jimmy's still has better marinara and pizza sauce, but from a taste and texture standpoint, and fast delivery, these guys are super!

Sorry, but I've got to dock a star. The other weekend I ordered pick-up and was given a 25-30 minute wait time. No problem. I show up 25 minutes later and had to sit there and wait for another 30 minutes until my pizza was done (I couldn't figure out if our order was forgotten about or they were just running really really far behind). In addition, the restaurant was packed...with people waiting for their pizza. That's right, the restaurant was full of people (tables were full) and not one of them was actually eating pizza during the 30 minutes I was there. They typically get slammed on weekends so they might want to re-think their employee ratio. I've also been left on hold for over 5 minutes (i.e. forgotten about) TWICE. It would also be nice if they could join Grubhub so that I don't have to have cash on hand if I want delivery. It should be noted though that the pizza is still the best in the neighborhood.
(4)John C.
Classic pizzas with a creative spin , excellent, fresh ingredients and a great crust. The same goes for the salads minus the crust! A welcomed addition to the hood.
(4)Eric H.
Fine thin crust pizza that perfectly straddles the line between basic and fancy. The sausage is particularly good.
(4)Paul G.
ORD Pizzeria is very good. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Ordered two slices, one bacon and one pepperoni, and thoroughly enjoyed both. Crust was outstanding and featured that little bit of char on the bottom which gives it a nice bit of extra flavor. Enjoyed my pizza with a blood orange San Pellegrino which was also light and refreshing. Counter service was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Felt like a hip Wicker Park establishment without the Wicker Park attitude.
(4)S S.
I've just been here once- for one slice, but it was a great slice. Similar to NY style. The excellent taste suggests excellent ingredients. Beautiful oven you can see through the pass. Looks like a cute date spot.
(4)Anil S.
Ordered this pizza based on recommendation from Real Kitchen and was not disappointed. It was really outstanding. Great ingredients, just the right amount of cheese and super yummy sauce. The sauce was a little chunky and filled with excellent fresh tasting spices, but not overwhelming. The one thing I thought was pretty amazing was how good the crust was. It was excellent all by itself. I'm not sure I've ever had crust that tasted so good. My only problem was that I ordered two 12' pizzas and ate almost all of them myself. I will definitely be ordering from ORD Pizzeria again.
(5)Rach H.
We've order take out from here a couple times. The pizza is always so delicious especially the specialty pizzas. Most pizzas you get are covered in grease but not here. I would definitely recommend this place.
(4)Jim K.
Dined in and had salads plus two pizza's, large cheese and large sausage, excellent crust. The salad dressings were great, inventive dressings, and the salads, fresh ingredients. The pizza's were very tasty, loved the sauce. The staff was remarkably friendly and you could see that they took care of all the people coming in, whether just for take out or eating in. It's BYOB and just steps away you can get any beverage you desire, or go with the house soda's, all and all a great experience.
(5)Laura I.
Got The Rose pizza tonight to go, it has corn, carmelized onions and arugula on it which isn't my usual combo but I was in heaven on a cold night! Their pizza is the best! Just enough crunch, just enough chew! Amazing fresh flavors. I will be back soon!
(5)Randi R.
This is a mixed review....As a former new yorker I will tell you the pizza is pretty good, and I am thrilled to have new york style pizza close to my apartment. I have tried the Cliff, the Rose and the Herbert and find that the Cliff is the best one. The ingredients are really fresh, but you are definitely paying for them because a large pizza is over $20 which is pricey. The negative is the staff/service. I called to place an order for a pizza last night and was first placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up, and then called again and then was placed on hold (the girl said it will just be a minute but it was more like 5 minutes). She told me the pizza would be ready in 35-40 minutes for pickup. I walked over there 45 minutes later, and the pizza was not ready. I sat there for another 10 minutes before it was ready. I feel that if you are going to pay that much for pizza the service should be better, and they should give you an accurate time frame for when it will be ready.

Tasty Pizza, great service. Did take out slices and dessert that were enjoyed by all. Looking forward to using the free delivery or BYOB dine in next time. Loved the make your own option with all fresh ingredients.

My boyfriend and I ordered pizza from here last night. We were pleasantly surprised about how good this pizza was! The slices were cut big and it was delicious!! This pizza is a tad greasy but that made It that much better!! The crust was crunchy but still pretty thick... I would definitely recommend this pizza to people. :)

Even though it will be terrible for my waistline, I really hope this place does well. Great pizza on both visits, and BYOB with no corkage fee. I also love the fresh and unique ingredients they have that you don't see at most pizza places. I'm so happy my new favorite pizza place in the city is one block away from my house.

Wow! The freshest tasting pizza I've ever had. I usually just tolerate pizza sauce or get no sauce at all, but the sauce was my favorite part of the pizza here! I love the different combinations of toppings available and that you can choose your own out of a huge list. And, there was definitely no skimping on the toppings! We ate here with three children who are normally minimalist eaters, including one who really isn't fond of pizza. They ate so much, we had to order another pizza for them! If you are in the area, you definitely have to eat here or you are missing out!

This is one fresh tasting pizza. First pizza here was great...nice crisp to the crust, good variety of ingredients. I'm certainly rooting for ord and hope to be back...

This is my favorite pizza in the neighbourhood. The crust is on point, and the toppings are not your run of the mill boring. I'm not saying these pizzas are crazy combos like you get at Dimo's. There's a time and a place for that kind of creativity but the pizzas at ORD are creative and delicious. I mean, carmelized onions, arugula, roasted potatoes and fresh roasted corn? YUM! Everyone should go so that this place keeps making delicious pizzas. I can't keep them in business by myself, but I'm sure gonna try.

Just moved into the neighborhood and in search of a good pizza joint. I really wanted to like ORD pizza and I have to say the different types of pizza is something you can't find in the city BUT I do have a couple of complaints. First of all, my delivery was suppose to be between 45-50 minutes and it ended up being about 70 minutes (I had to call to find out what was going on). I'm a patient person so I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as the guy on the phone explained that "they had a rush but the good thing is that the pizza was fresh out of the oven." So we get the large Venus pizza and it was a MESS when it arrived, the crust was SO soggy and sloppy and the ingredients were "sliding" off of the crust. I think the issue is due to the "rush" they had; they didn't wait to cut the pizza so it became extremely soggy in the commute. We actually had to recut the pizza. That being said the flavor was great, I just wish I could've enjoyed it more and didn't have to deal with eating my cheese/ingredients separate from the soggy crust. I would've preferred that they called me to say they were running behind, give the pizza a few mins out of the oven before they cut it, and then delivered it instead of keeping me waiting without a phone call and delivering a soggy pizza.

The hood has needed a good fresh pizza place since Renallis closed. This is it! Had a pepperoni and sausage and was it good. Nice tangy, spicy sauce, cut new York style. Fold that Za and chow away.

There are many good pizzas in Chicago, but few that can be delivered. Ord was terrific. We're lucky to live within the delivery area.

Had my fantasy football victory lunch here and I was very impressed with the food and staff/service. Very simple & clean decor...a welcoming place with a nice openness. The 3 of us (grown ass men) split a full Victor salad, which I would definitely order again. The corn was fresh, the dressing was proportionate, and feta was just the right texture. We also split and 12" Venus Pizza as well as a 12" TC Pizza. Perfect crust, fresh ingredients, not greasy or droopy. I loved it. We ate every last piece with our red wine and the owner, Daniel, was so kind and warm that I will definitely be back for more. Sweet oven dudes!! Thanks again!

Outstanding! My new favorite delivery pizza in Uptown! Ordered both the Venus and the Cliff, and both were just great! Very good crust, fresh toppings, tasty sausage...just nothing not to like. Eat there. Today.

I live right upstairs of this building and have seen about 3 businesses cycle through it in the past year. So I was super Psyched to see a new restaurant, especially a pizzeria, had finally moved in! I thought I would survive the Polar Vortex by just trying out a 12" pizza. I got the Venus and it was sooo flipping good! I also picked up a tastey looking brownie at the counter because... Well why not. It was so soft, gooey, and delicious! All of the employees were really nice! From the young guy who answered the phone to the girl at the counter, even the guy who was back in the kitchen addressed me by name and was super friendly! It's a little more money than I usually spend on pizza, but it was totally worth it!

I live around the corner, and it's great having an actually good pizza place so close. Slices to order! Regional sodas! Friendliness! Good.

Best crust ever. The slow fermentation process does wonders for the chewy yet crisp crust. All ingredients tasted fresh and were all there in abundance. Warm inviting atmosphere with great prices. Can't wait to go back again and again. Thanks ORD!

I gotta say, ORD is the bomb! I agree with other reviewers who point out that Chicago's pizza rep is a little over done. Sure, the deep dish can be great, but who eats that on a regular basis? When I look for good thin crust in this town, I strike out too often but ORD serves up the kind of pizza I crave. Love the style of the crust, just the right amount of cheese and each ingredient really stands out. Good balance=great pie!

Really great pizza. Flavorful with quality ingredients and piping hot out of the oven. If you live in the neighborhood and haven't been, you've got to go.

The pizza here is great! Got a pepperoni and basil pizza. Basil is free, which is cool. Love that I live so close. Can't wait to pick up a pizza to eat in my backyard once the weather gets nicer. It's not a great atmosphere for dining in. A little awkward ordering at the counter and then taking a seat. I do really like the art they have on the walls and the chalkboard menu, though.

Service was good, pizza was excellent. The thin crust was just crusty enough and seasoned well. Wide variety of fresh ingredients to top. Excellent addition to the neighborhood - will be back!

If you are looking for a quality pizza then look no futher. The fire oven roasted crust is a perfect mixture of crispy and soft. The perimeter is crispy while the middle is a nice doughy texture. The sauce is sweet but not too sweet. I have ordered the Venus (sausage, caramelized onion, roasted red peppers, shaved parmesan, mozzarella and crushed tomoatoes) plenty of times and it always tastes exactly the same so you know that ORD has perfected their ingredients and process.Delicious!

ditto on the reviews of a great pizza and fresh ingredients. The owner/staff are super personable and you get a vibe that they are all about making good food and making sure the customer leaves happy. Definitely adding ORD into my pizza rotation.
