Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

By far the best pizza in Chicago! We've ordered several times since discovering them a few months ago and it's never disappointed, both the thin and deep dish are delicious. They're also super friendly, reasonably priced, and free delivery!

We wanted pizza, but decided that we wanted to branch out from Candlelite (which we LOOOVE, but the way, just wanted to try somewhere new). We saw Nueva Italy on Grub Hub and decided to order. We got a thin crust cheese with garlic on butter crust. It arrived super-fast, and was absolutely delicious. Not too heavy on the sauce, and the butter crust really made the meal. We will definitely order from there again.

Delicious pizza! We ordered the thin crust. Delivery man was friendly and on time. The buffalo wings were great too.

there deep dish is consistently really really good. Just ask for it well done like I do. Also, I find if very ridiculous and suspicious that Yelp has filtered 10 of Nueva Italy's reviews!!! They are small business owned by guys who wake up at the crack of dawn and work their other jobs, and the come to the pizza shop afterwards and work their all night. They deserve a fair chance. . . why does jb albertos have 200 reviews that aren't filtered? Why does only my review come up? I bet this review will get "filtered" as well... it's not fair that all their reviews are "filtered" by some arbitrary filtering system just so that they have to pay yelp to get their reviews released to the public. Also it's not fair that when I go to their page, there is ads for other pizza places nearby. C'mon yelp. Make yourselves accountable, don't just make silly youtube videos that don't explain anything about you filtering system. p.s they have free wifi and they are BYOB p. p. s there cheeseburgers are good :)

We ordered the thin crust cheese pizza and a deep dish cheese pizza, and they were NOT GOOD. It reminded me of Dominos or Papa John's. The breaded mushrooms were fine. I love pizza, and I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Tried this place the other day with my best friend on a whim! So tasty! She ordered the chicken Parm sandwich and I had the grilled chicken breast sandwich. The sandwiches were delivered hot and fast and were amazing! Did I mention the delivery was fast? From order to eating was less than a half hour. Next time we are trying the pizza. Don't pass this place up!

Just had delivery from Nueva Italy and was pleasantly surprised. Had a deep dish pizza-- I ordered a small but they sent me a medium (no extra charge) to welcome me as a 1st time customer. Well that was a nice gesture but it wouldn't have mattered if the pizza wasn't good... but THANK GOODNESS it was pretty great. I'm a big-time Malnati's guy and Nueva Italy's pie was damn close. Maybe their crust could have been a little more buttery but everything was at least good about it: Good ratio of toppings, nice sauce to cheese ratio, sauce not too sweet. Oh, and the price was right, too! So... they gave me a good pie and an upgrade for free... so I'm ordering again. And, if the next pie is as good as the 1st I am gonna be one happy man.

Pizza is literally one of my favorite things of all time to eat, so I would consider myself a connoisseur and pretty harsh critic... Fortunately for Nueva Italy, this may just be my new favorite pizza ever! I dined in the other night and had a great time! The restaurant was very clean, my pizza was served hot and fresh right out of the oven (my favorite), staff was SO friendly and accommodating- and just to add the cherry on top of the cake, I learned that it was BYOB, so I was able to run out and bring a bottle of wine while my pizza was being made in the oven! I ordered a thin crust pizza and it was the PERFECT butteriness and crispness and had the PERFECT amount of toppings on it. I could tell the sauce was their own special recipe- and it had an amazing medley of flavors blended into it- but was not too sweet or overpowering as to take away from the rest of the pizza! Ingredients were super fresh also, so it was great all around! Like I said, I'm a harsh critic, but I cannot think of one bad thing to say. They will definitely be seeing me back again soon! I have already told several of my friends about Nueva Italy and they agree that it is an amazing new addition to the neighborhood! I haven't tried the deep dish on my own yet, but according to my friends, it's the best in the city! Congrats to Nueva Italy on being my new favorite pizza spot!

I hesitate to write a negative review when this place has so many good ones, but my husband and I had a thin crust pizza here, which tasted pretty good, but I got sick a few hours later, and my husband didn't feel well either (although he didn't get as sick as I did). I won't be going back.
(2)Tom L.
Ate at Nueva Italy with a couple friends last night (see the review from Jen P. below, who came back for her second try). I thought this was fabulous pizza. Excellent crust. We had a deep dish with tomatoes and garlic and spinach. solid pizza. This is in the same league with Lou Malnati's, and a lot less expensive. Also, noticed they dropped the prices on a few things (including the burger jen was complaining about, i think it's now 4.99, with fries). And the credit card machine was up and running.
(5)Drew B.
Just ordered from Nueva Italy again to give them a second try based on the regular thin crust instead of the butter crust we ordered the first time around. BIG mistake. We ordered a large regular thin crust with sausage, onions and green peppers and made a CLEAR request for regular crust. The butter crust is CRUNCHY all around. NOT our idea of a good crust (see previous review). When we got our pizza, the crust tasted and looked exactly like the butter crust from our first order. We called to check what they wrote on the order ticket since the delivery guy didn't leave a copy. After confirming what we ordered, the order taker insisted that what we had and what she wrote down was a regular crust. So...if you do not prefer a cracker like crust with zero chewiness, I recommend you avoid both the butter and regular crusts as they are exactly the same. We crossed this place off of our list completely.
(2)Jacko J.
Thank you god!!! I live in Edgewater and am a deep dish junkie. There's decent pie in the hood but nothing that blows my socks off. (Calos is my typical go to) I'm a devoted Malnati's fanatic but there's none that deliver here. I gave up cheese for Lent and today was my first indulgence in pizza for a long time. Decided to find something new. Soooooo happy I went with Nueva. I saw another review compared it to Lou's and it's a dead nuts clone!!! I've got a new go to spot in the hood.
(5)Grace C.
First time ordering (1/22/12) and we're sold. Food was hot at delivery. Everything was very delicious! The thin crust is crunchy, but not hard or cracker thin. The wings are very good and meaty. A+

why doesnt everybody go here?????

Three years ago my favorite pizza delivery placed closed. After ordering from them for 15 years, I had to begin the hunt for a replacement that would satisfy my thin crust cravings. After maaaaaaaaaaany different pizzas, I finally found THE ONE! THE ONE with a delectably crispy and buttery crust that crunches and then melts in your mouth. THE ONE with fresh ingredients and ample sausage. THE ONE with a perfectly tangy, seasoned and slightly rich sauce. THE ONE that my heart, soul and stomach yearned for! It took over three years, but..Yes! Yes! Yes!!! I found it!!! And to top it off, one day they accidentally sent me a deep dish pizza. I've lived my whole life in Chicago and the ONLY deep dish I ever really enjoyed was Uno/Due/Malnati's/Gino's East. BUT now I can add one more pizzeria to that list. Their deep dish is AMAZING!!! Also, the woman who answers the phone is amazingly sweet, friendly and helpful. She makes ordering a pizza a delight! (wait is that possible? Umm, yeah I guess so). DEFINITELY try this pizza. You too many find that it is THE ONE for you!
(5)Zehra G.
First time ordering from here. I ordered a 6" personal veggie deep dish pizza (with butter crust) and a pre packaged slice of original cheesecake. The delivery was faster than most places that make deep dishes and the delivery guy was super nice! I mixed up the delivery address but he still came through without any complaints! Thank you for that. As for the taste. It looks and smells like a delicious veggie pizza topped with spinach, mushrooms, green peppers, and tomatoes. The ingredients taste very fresh. The pizza was not soggy at all considering all the other places that I've ordered from. They nicely wrap the pizza in some type of wax paper and put inside the box! Sure this place isn't like any of the fancier end deep dished places but there is something about the pizza that was both satisfying but also lacking some flavor. Nonetheless! The prices are unbeatable and I'm sure I'll be back to try their thin crust cheese pizza and perhaps even pasta. Super adorable and I ordered through eat24.
(4)Amy B.
I wasn't super impressed with Nueva Italy. I moved further north so I was giving everywhere a shot to find my new regular place. I didn't get the butter crust - full disclosure. The pizza wasn't really that flavorful. I was really let down by the regular crust and the lack of flavor in the cheese. Delivery wasn't fast either; my pizza wasn't hot (warm, just not fresh-hot).
(3)Cindy M.
Just had a delivery & these guys were quick I ordered a personal sized deep dish and my fiancé ordered the Gyro sandwich. The pizza was cute & Delish Had a yummy butter crust. While the Gyro was a little skimpy on meat & fries it was delicious as well We will order from here again
(4)Sean B.
Decided to try them for delivery the other day. And boy am I glad I did. Their butter crust thin crust is amazing and I'm *that* guy who has had like 100 different kinds of pizza in this area. Light, buttery, delicious, reheats well AND they beat the delivery estimate significantly and the delivery guy was friendly. Pizza arrived hot and I was offered extra parm and peppers at my door. This will be a staple. But get the butter crust. And cheaper and better than Lou's. Can't wait to try a deep dish after I gym off the holiday...
(5)Leonel H.
There pizza is actually pretty good I haven't tried anything else but when I do I will edit thus review based on their quality. They are affordable and delivery is alright. For a small newly established pizzeria it clinging on against other well known pizzerias.
(5)Jay F.
Phenomenal deep-dish pizza!Appearance can be deceiving,as the outside of this place looks like a small,.taco joint, trying to do pizza.WRONG!Try the buttercrust deep-dish and you will be back!
(5)Jeffrey L.
It's been said that there really is no such thing as bad pizza. Wrong! The deep dish pizza we ordered had all the qualities of a good pizza except flavor. Had I been blindfolded & fed a bite of it, I don't believe I would have been able to guess what it was.
(1)Brett H.
The pizza had absolutely no flavor. Had to add salt and garlic powder just to taste something, anything. Really surprising considering the yelp reviews were mostly good.
(1)Alison P.
I've ordered pizza a couple of times now from them. I've only had the thin crust. It is a solid "good". It is worth it to pay extra for the butter crust, it really does give more flavor. I would probably rate this a star higher if the sauce had a bit more flavor. It is a little bland, but I would pick this place any day over a large chain pizza place, you know who I mean.
(3)Paula H.
OMG, The Best Pizza Ever. We always get the thin crust with the BUTTER CRUST. Fabulous!!! They have amazing sausage, We also love the garden salad with their homemade dressing. I will not get pizza anywhere else, except here. We just get delivery, though they have place to sit don.
(5)Sam S.
Ordered a deep dish pizza delivery and was very disappointed. The pizza had rested at an incline for probably the duration of its travel, and arrived lopsided with all the cheese and toppings slid to one very soggy side (it had even begun to soak through the box). This was unfortunate because the flavor was very good, and the nonsoggy side had a lovely crispy crust. Also, unlike traditional Chicago deep dish (layered crust, cheese, crust, sauce) this pizza lacked the 2nd later of crust, which may have contributed to its misshapen sogginess.
(2)Todd O.
Pizza is an art... you have to have the right sauce, the right crust, and it has to be cooked just right (not over and not under). It's tough to find a good pizza place, despite the fact that most every place claims they're "world famous." Nueva Italy is actually pretty awesome. It's not the best you'll ever have, but it's pretty damn good. It's delicious upon delivery, it's great reheated, and best of all - they always beat their delivery estimate. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. Will I order it again and again and again? Definitely.
(4)Jorge R.
Located on clark and touhy, this small pizza place has the best thin crust pizza. 20$ covers a pizza for two and fries. I honestly love this place and have been a proud customer since 2013 of December. :) if youre looking for a friday night meal this is the place. Befriend the delivery guy theyre the best! I also ordered during the polar vortex and the delivary guy was so nice to walk out in the darn cold and hand over my order. Humble hard working people. :D
(5)Fallon S.
I really wanted to like this place. I got the buttered crust like everyone was suggesting in reviews; and that part was good. But, the cheese wasn't even fully melted. It had that oily and separated cheese kind of look and taste. I could tell that it would have been good otherwise. I was really disappointed, especially for $25.
(1)Ieshia C.
Not sure what all the hype is about. I ordered an x-tra large thin butter crust pizza with an order of fries and some drinks and had it delivered. The delivery guy was pleasant and delivered our order before the 45 minutes to an hour window. Pizza was subpar. Crust ok. Cheese ok. Pepperoni ok. I've made homemade pizzas better than this. I doubt if I order here again. Matter fact, I'll just stick with Leona's and Giordano's. The two stars are for the quick service and delivery guy.
(2)Dave Y.
Great pizza~ Seriously excellent! It was a nice change from Lou Malnati's and the usual Chicago suspects. Don't get me wrong - I love the other deep dish pizzas out there. But there's something different about the crust here. And the service (yes, this is HUGE for me) was great. The owner really cares about his (and his restaurant's) reputation. He goes the extra mile.
(5)Scott H.
I've only ordered from Nueva once, but it has instantly become my favorite pizza place. I absolutely love their butter crust, as well as everything else about this incredible pizza. That said, I will admit to those of you that aren't sure about butter crust that some of the folks that shared this pizza with me were not impressed. I personally think they might be a few screws loose, but I thought it would only be fair to share the whole story. I can't wait for my next pizza night!
(5)Kathryn S.
Love this pizza! Every time I order I eat at least half of an extra large. I've had the regular thin crust and whole wheat thin crust. Both are excellent; crispy, robust, flavorful. This is a small business where the owners obviously work hard and care about their product. I'm moving out of Rogers Park, but I know I will be frequently making excuses to go through and pick up a pizza. Sidebar to the lazy shut ins who order delivery for every meal: stop crying so much about how long delivery takes and put your shoes on. Half of the content on Yelp is suddenly a bunch of whiners sniveling about how the $2 order of fries they had delivered showed up late and soggy.
(5)Marissa G.
We ordered a medium deep dish pizza with mushrooms, onions, and sausage on a cold winter night. It took the usual hour, and arrived right on time. I want to give this pie at least 4 stars-- the sausage was delicious, and the sauce and mozzarella were high quality. But unfortunately, this pizza just does not travel well. The whole bottom of the pizza was soggy and even the crust was soft and chewy (not in a good way). After the first few disappointing bites, we popped a few slices in the toaster and the outside crust was amazing, but we still couldn't dry out the bottom of the pie. It might be happening because of the foil lined cardboard underneath the pizza, but I can't tell. Maybe I'll try their pizza in house next time, but the delivery needs some work!
(3)Teresa C.
my new favorite delivery for italian! ah-maze-ing. tortellini cooked perfectly and the side of meat balls were the best I've had outside my family's cooking. delivery was crazy fast too. can't ask for more :)
(5)Penny L.
such delicious pizza and such helpful staff at the restaurant. The pizza, a thin-crust, was delicious...fresh mushrooms, tasty tomato sauce, ripe olives, and sausage. We ordered a large, thinking we would bring 1/2 of it home. Not so...we ate most of it because it was so yummy that we couldn't quit!!!! We'll be back soon11
(4)Lord Of T.
Their deep dish pizza in the pan with butter crust ROCKS!!!! It hard to find better pizza in the pan!! I order mine with extra cheese and extra sausage.....
(5)Steve A.
Go for the butter crust!! Sausage deep dish was great, would 100% get from these guys again!
(4)Rebecca O.
I love the bbq pizza here. If I want thin crust pizza this is the place I always order from. I usually do delivery and they come pretty fast ( I live close though). The delivery guy is always friendly. I also ate in a few times and the staff is really nice. I have no complaints :)
(5)Luke B.
Have ordered this pizza before using the GRUB hub service. It is a good pizza. However, tonight is like no other night. Here is the order of events 646 - Order placed on grubhub 647 - recieved confim email. Initial time 800 - 810 752 - Update to delivery time moved to 825 - 835 825 - called in to store and the person on the phone looked up my info and pizza and determined that the "pizza was not in the store, SORRY". I said ill wait longer. 850 - Called again, spoke with same lady, said the "pizza was not in store" again. I asked to speak with the manager. When speaking to the manager I first got the "its backed up" excuse. I understand. Then when she asked if i ordered from grub hub after looking it up in the system. She told me that grub hub made an error and was sending out wrong times. Then I was told that the drivers were taking 3 orders at a time and only to certin areas. Here is the kicker. When asked her if she likes cold pizza and informed her that i dont like cold pizza she said I would only be able to get 10% off the price. Then with a little more emphasis about my concern of cold pizza I was told the best i could get would be a 52% discount once the pizza arrived. 1025 - STILL NO PIZZA! I just looked the place up and according to googlemaps it is 1.5 miles away. Had I Only known. Update 1030 called again. Talked with lady, she looked up my order again and said it was no longer in the store and she didnt know where it was. I asked her "isthe driver hitting the bong on the side of the road" "I paced my order at 646 and it is going on 4 hours" I am trying to keep my cool at this point and I ask to speak with the manger who i spoke with before and was told "she is out doing delivery". Then I asked "who is in charge" She said she is the "only one". I said think about it "waiting 4 Hours" Then some guy in the background was talking to her and she asked what pizza i orderd. The guy said that he "never made one with BBQ sauce" So after being LIED to over and over. They are going to make it right now and deliver it for free. I am reasonable to a point. That way I dont look like an ass for flipping out over nothing. If i was told that they didnt make the order from the get go and they would get it done right away I would have been fine with that. It is the LIES, LIES, LIES.

This is hands down my favorite deep dish pizza in Chicago, maybe a tie with Pequods. I was raised on deep dish, and my wife and I decided to try out all of the pizza places on those lists of "best pizza in Chicago", and I gotta say this place wins out over every place we've tried for deep dish pizza. I've never been there, but we order delivery at least once every week or two, and it's always super fresh and super fast. They usually beat the grubhub text updates when delivering. I did have an issue at one point where they must have had a new driver, and he delivered a couple pizzas that had been tilted and all the ingredients had slid over, but I called, and they couldn't have handled it better. They offered to get us another pizza right away, or cover our next one, and they spoke to the driver so I haven't had that issue since. It's similar to Lou Malnati's in style, but it's so much better. Love the butter crust with extra sauce. It's so good. Thin crust is good too, probably in my top three for the neighborhood. Now I feel like ordering a pizza tonight lol!
(5)Susan W.
Ordered on line from EAT 24. Waited an hour and a half for delivery!! Call the restaurant they assured me my order was on its way. Was not happy! But then the restaurant called me and said they were crediting my account and how sorry they were. No that's good business! We will try them again!
(3)Evan H.
I have never posted a bad review and don't like to do so. It should be noted I have had pizza for 13 straight meals. Besides the Australian "No Frills" frozen brand this was my least pizza of all time.
(1)Steven H.
I ordered from here because the famous pizza place who's name starts with and "L" refused to deliver to my house even though I live 2 miles away. Time and Time again this joint puts out an amazing product. Their deep dish buttercrust is amazing and affordable. Their thin crust with fermented dough... OUTSTANDING, better than Home Run Inn. tonight I will be watching a WWE PPV and enjoying a wonderfully tasting and piping hot pizza from Nueva, and I will be using *Yelp to order it again. Thanks know you for serving up one of the best pies on the north side of Chicago!
(5)Maria C.
Pizza is good, but $33 worth for xl thin crust? The buttery crust is phenomenal. I'm not sure what cheeses they use but it had a tangy flavor. I was pleased with the taste but very unhappy with the price.
(3)Julia C.
Yum. Yum. Yum. One of the best pizzas I have had since moving to Chicago. I'm not a big deep dish fan, but I love thin crust. I got a plain pepperoni and extra cheese and it was great. I loved the pizza sauce, too. Delivery was 20 minutes faster than the expected time, which is always great!
(5)Sam M.
First time ordering. Good customer service Fast delivery Great thin crust piece The person taking orders was very friendly, helpful and patient. Took the time to tell me the specials and saved me some bucks. Pizza was great, thin crust was exactly what a thin crust is supposed to be. Thin crispy crust, good amount of sauce, and plenty of toppings. Cheese was evenly distributed and stayed on the slices. WARNING crust is crispy, if you like doughy crust order a deep dish or something else. Delivery was quoted at an hour, understandable for a Saturday night. Arrived in 45 minutes. Very satisfying first experience. Will order again and try their deep dish.
(4)Becky M.
Hands down - best pizza in Rogers Park. I might even go so far as to say it's the best pizza I've had in the 15 years I've lived in this neck of the woods. The crust is buttery and crisp, cheese and sauce are just right. The special with black olives is delicious. Please order from them so they stay in the neighborhood!
(5)Greg D.
Just discovered this place and I'm glad I did! Very good thin crust pizza, butter crust as well. The pizza reminded me very much of some of my favorite places as a kid, and the crust was perfect, nice and crisp. The delivery was right on time, only an hour, and the delivery guy was super friendly. Great pizza, great quality, great price.
(5)p H.
This pizzeria is a hidden gem. The deep dish pizza is delicious--has a perfect balance of crust thickness, sauce, cheese. The giardiniera they use is perfect. And delivery time is very quick! Three thumbs up.
(5)Scott L.
I live around the corner and was excited to see this new pizza place. My experience is similar to others - super friendly service and good pizza. We got a deep dish with pepperoni, and I was impressed most by the crispiness of the outside of the crust, without being burnt, while the inside was nice and cushy. When I originally went I had beer and they apologized for not being BYOB, glad to see that has changed! I certainly think they are worth a try, and I know I'll being going back.
(4)Marisol V.
Absolutely the best place to get deep dish!!! I've ordered online and in person and have had it delivered several times- never had any issues whatsoever. The delivery drivers are all super friendly and sociable even engaging in small chat while delivering, which is I think is a bonus! The deep dish pizza is the best I've ever had. The staff when we go to pick it up is absolutely wonderful and friendly. They have even offered us drinks on the house as we waited and are full of smiles and small chat. I would highly recommend you try it out, you will not be disappointed. It will become our favorite go to place for pizza and great service.
(5)evie s.
I've had their deep dish three times and it is *stellar.* I usually order from Lou's but they were closed one night so I tried this place since Yelp had great reviews. So glad I did. It's a find. Definitely get the butter crust. And the tomato sauce is amazing. I also like that they have a "personal size" option. I ordered one of the pizzas half-baked and it was perfect. They just ask you if you know how to bake it because they do not advertised half-baked pizzas and they do not put directions on it. If you're not sure, google Lou's instructions. Same thing. And that pizza turned out perfectly as well. My new favorite pizza place!
(5)Amanda V.
Moved in to a new apartment in the neighborhood and needs something effortless to follow a busy day of moving and unpacking. Ordered a large thin crust cheese, a personal pan pepperoni deep dish, with an order of mozzarella sticks. Thin crust was delicious, deep dish could have been better. Delivery guy was friendly. More, please!
(5)Jeff K.
Delivery 101: Keep the food warm We ordered a thin crust pizza from here recently, based largely on the overwhelmingly positive reviews posted on Yelp. Went with the butter crust because it sounded delicious. Unfortunately, the pizza we got was lukewarm at best, and the cheese had already started to harden. It looked like it had been sitting out for a while before anyone stuck it in a pizza bag to keep it warm. Quickly zapping it in the microwave helped a bit, but that's going to some pretty extreme lengths. Considering we paid around $30 (tip + delivery included) for a thin crust pizza, I would have hoped it'd at least be warm. The butter crust was pretty good, I'll give them that. I was interested in trying their deep dish at some point, but based on this experience, I don't think I would order from here again.
(2)Iris H.
Uh, Nueva Italy has raised it's delivery prices significantly. Not cool. I might as well just order from Malnotti's or better yet, the oldest and most reliable RP 'za -- JB Albertos. Hey Nueva Italy owners -- it is not cool to change $35.00 (that includes a tip) for a xl pan pizza. Nope, not cool atall.
(3)Chunk M.
This is great pizza especially with the butter crust. I miss the free delivery through grubhub, but the pizza is fairly priced for the quality you receive. Think Gino's east but with a slightly healthier feel. (I"m not sure it's actually healthier, but it feels that way, and I'd argue it is significantly better tasting.) The delivery is quickly very quick and the drivers are always very kind.
(5)Dane K.
Great butter crust pizza. You may get a better deal by phoning them and asking for specials. Their web site is operated by a service that charges them 20% (not that unusual for delivery order sites--Grubhub charges 15%) of every order you make. Do the math. I ordered on their web site for a pickup order, went in and saw the window had a sign for the same one topping deep dish pizza for $8 less. I asked if I could have that and was told no because I ordered through their web site and not over the phone. I completely understood--I tell my friends all the time that these sites are expensive and not to use them.. He was nice enough to then whip out the calculator and calculate my $8 off. I would've been bummed just knowing I paid $8 more but at the same time couldn't blame him, a nice gesture. The pizza itself is great. Upgrade it to butter crust. Thin or deep, both are good. Worth it. Haven't had much besides pizza. I think this is better than Lou M's (and my former favorite Pizanno's), it's more consistent so far at least. Deliveries have been on time, hot and fast.
(5)Russ S.
Just ordered pizza salad and fried mushrooms. Delivery order said 45-1hour. Hour and half later, pizza arrived cold mushrooms bland and cold. Defiantly won't order from here again.

The food here is great. But the people are better. Had an issue with an order and they called me back to make sure I was happy. They made it right. Highly recommended.

My new favorite stuffed pizza in the city. The butter crust really is better than Lou's. Inside, it isn't swanky at all; it's a standard humble little neighborhood pizzeria. The guys are super nice. My wife and I brought a six pack and they offered to put it in their fridge. In terms of pricing: two medium stuffeds with three toppings each were under $40. Looking forward to having their thin crust soon.
(5)Michelle H.
The deep dish small personal pizza is super awesome! Also, the price for a six pack of soda shows you that they make money off their food and not the sides. I also like the Caesar salad. Very very good. My old criticism is that they open on weekdays at 3. Lunch hours??

Hubby and I recently moved to Rogers Park and are enjoying walking aimlessly around to discover good eats. After walking to a place that had no seating, we found that we were close to Nueva so we made that our destination. It was about 11pm, so we were thankful that it was open (till midnight). Great service, the man was very kind. We ordered the "thin" butter crust with pepperoni, bacon and sausage. I put thin in " " because it's not a cracker think crust, it's a bit thicker than I expected but it was amazing. They use a stone oven which creates a crust that is chewy on the inside with a perfect crisp on the outside. Fantastic sauce. So glad we found this place-- we will definitely be back!
(5)Elvin C.
For those of you who want to stretch your dollar...get a second pie for half off. We've been back quite a few times...and we've just gone back to their regular crust and last time...got one deep dish and one thin crust after initially favoring only their thin crust. One note though...the deep dish was taken home and heated up in a pan (crisped to our liking). To judge fairly, we'd have to get the deep dish to dine in. Thanks to all the fans that gave Nueva a try.
(5)Jennifer V.
I really like this place. It's definitely a contender to Lou Malnati's and the service is always fast and friendly. My only complaint is they seem to be really loading on the cheese lately. I love cheese, don't get me wrong ... but this is tipping the scales a bit. Way too much and its taking over everything else. Its not always like that either. Most of the time its just right ... but other times its this big gooey blob that slides down the sides of the slices. Other than that, great pan pizza ... just needs a little consistency with the cheese.
(4)Mimi N.
I got the regular thin crust. Pizza arrived hot on time And it tasted alright. I don't feel I was "wow'd" by it. I usually order petes but they have been slipping lately and I wanted to try the place. Always looking for a good local pizza place. I would say the 4th star is for their exceptional FRIENDLY service! Customer service is important to me. You can tell the guy on the phone spoke with a SMILE! The delivery guy was also very nice too! I can really appreciate good service, and thank you for that.
(4)Asia C.
Their pizza was suprisingly good. A nice change from JB Albertos and closer in walking distance to me than JB's. I always order a buttercrust pizza.
(4)Ruth R.
The deep dish pizza is good, but the breadsticks are awesome. Order them immediately. It was super easy to order online and even when I couldn't hear my phone, the delivery man didn't leave and made sure I got my order.
(4)Kelly C.
Very Very Very good pizza! If you like Lou Malnati's, then you will like this. I ordered the medium thin, butter crust pizza with mushroom and sausage. There was the perfect amount of cheese and the crust was crispy and tasty. The crust tastes similar to Lou's. I ordered on the phone and they were offering a buy one get one half off special, so I ordered a second with wheat crust with veggie toppings. The delivery guy was friendly and the delivery took about 45 minutes - not bad for a Saturday night. I will definitely order from Nueva Italy Pizzeria again!
(5)Toni Y.
Ordered from here after great reviews. I agree the pizza is very good, especially the sauce. Two things stop me from giving a higher rating.....I ordered pepperoni pizza and received plain cheese, and the pizza was ice cold on arrival. I will give this place another try at some point.
(3)Hula B.
a friend of mine introduced me to this place and i am still grateful. pizza is very good; although i do not like their alfredo sauce pizzas. that's ok because the tomato sauce has a great zingy zest to it like i like and crust is thin but still tastey. i haven't tried the 'famous' butter crust, and likely will not, as i'm not sure what it is exactly other than butter for $2 more. but this is my go to place for thin crust pizza in rogers park, unless i want alfredo sauce pizza. trying their burger tonight, so looking forward to that. i tried one of their salads once before and thought it was really skimpy for $5, so won't be having salad there any more. other prices/portions are all fine. i've never been there, although i think they might just be around the corner from my place - they deliver, so YAY!!
(4)Anna M.
I am a pizza fan through and through. I will eat anything and everything from frozen to gourmet pizza. Since moving from the mecca of pizza joints that is the south side of Chicago, I have been on a quest to find a great pizza place on the north side. I have tried four places since moving to Rogers Park and have yet to find anything as good as the south side places... except Leona's (surprisingly)! I ordered a large cheese pan pizza on a Wednesday night for delivery (a minimum of $15 is required for delivery) I ordered through Grub Hub and the estimated time of delivery was an hour from the time of ordering. Delivery took 45 minutes, earlier than the estimated time. The pizza was cut into squares, the cheese was not completely melted, and had the appearance of a frozen pizza. The taste was also that of a higher end frozen pizza. There weren't very many spices that I could taste in the sauce or in the cheese. The best part of the pizza is the crust. I paid extra for the butter crust. I had aspirations that it would be closer to Lou Malnati's butter crust. The crust was good, but not great. I would say, if you're craving pizza, but don't want to go through the hassle of cooking your own pizza in the oven, go ahead and order from Nueva!

Celebrating a good friend's birthday at a home nearby and were on the hunt for good pizza. Earlier that evening the friendly couple hosted a nice soiree with the addition of a "family pack" meal from Pizza hut. A couple pizzas on garlic bread with an order of wings and breadsticks for a mere $20 dollars. That order was torn apart in minutes. People were still hungry and since the birthday boy is a fan of Chicago pizza, I felt it necessary to order up a couple more pies. Sharing is caring. A quick scan on the Yelp app on my android phone for local pizza flavor and this was the first spot to pop up which happens to hold a 4.5 star rating. I called in to find out more details, placed an order and forty five minutes later we were on our way back to the party with pizzas in hands. A thin crust BBQ and a deep dish pizza (my own creation). (Per reviews, everyone says butter crust is a must and so we had it as well) One detail to note about their thin crust is that it's hardly thin. It's prepared like a thin crust but had the crust of a pan pizza. 1/2 of the party loved it, the other 1/2 didn't care much. I think because the toppings seemed to be well done, chicken was dry. Their deep dish pie however was the clear winner. That pie was gone in 60 seconds or less. Whether its giardinera, hot peppers or crushed red pepper, ask for something hot to be added to the pie while baking. It's a must! After four bites into this za it was decided that another order was needed but placed by another. Pizza fresh and hot delivered in about forty minutes or so later. This place is bookmarked for future house party deliveries! Note about the location.. it looks like a dive. When I drove up, I couldn't believe what it looked like. I'll admit, a joint like this.. I would drive past without looking back. Yelp reviews were on point; winner!
(4)Noah E.
I have ordered deep dish pizza here more times than I can count and by far it is the greatest we have had. Delivery is prompt as well. I highly suggest ordering pizza from here.
(5)Chad C.
We have ordered several times and have never had a bad pizza. Deep dish or thin crust are excellent. Add the butter crust, well worth it. 2nd best pizza joint in Chicago.
(5)Laura B.
I've had this pizza delivered probably 4 or 5 times and done carry out once. The deliveries have always been on time and the service is excellent! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, too. Now to the important part, the pizza. AMAZING! The thin buttercrust is fantastic, and they have great prices. I will have to try the deep dish soon! Nueva Italy is my new favorite Chicago pizza place!
(5)Cramden M.
Ordered the deep dish and was pretty disappointed. The butter crust was pretty good, a good amount of cheese, but it was really runny. We cut into it and the sauce ran all over the place. It looks like someone dumped a can of tomatoes on it with all the juice. The sauce was also very bland and tasteless and wasn't helped by the small amount of parmesan that came with it. I don't think I'll be ordering from them with all the other great places in Chicago. The great reviews are probably written by relatives because all true Chicagoans know better.
(2)Joe S.
Try it, excellent pizza, excellent service. What a deep dish!!!!! Shoutout to Miguels older brother (i didnt get his name , but what a mensch)
(5)Sara P.
Ordered a thin crust veggie pizza (onion mushroom, black olive) and jalapeño poppers. The crust is nice and crispy and not too thin, lots of veggies... Delicious. The smell loured my roommate into my room for some munchies. Those poppers are really good. Would def order again, fast delivery for Saturday night :)
(4)Tom A.
My favorite delivery place for pizza. Thin crust is solid, but not up to par to NY/NJ, but deep dish is one of the tops in Chicago. Good ingredients and folks that know what to do with them. Only complaint is they are a bit stingy with their cheese, so I always order extra cheese on deep dish.
(5)Melissa T.
I've gotten pizza delivered many times and every time it has been fantastic (I usually order a deep dish cheese pizza with butter crust). They must make their own delicious chunky tomato sauce which really makes the pizza. The delivery person is always very nice and offers red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. I think it's the best pizza in the neighborhood!
(5)Marge R.
Amazing! Best service you can get! We ordered a salad and pizza on wheat crust. The salad was a typical pizza place salad on iceberg lettuce, but the guy serving us was nice enough to give us two salads, when we only ordered one. The pizza we great. We wanted to try to go a little healthier by ordering the wheat crust with garlic and tomatoes on the pizza. The pizza was a nice size, and delicious. This place definitely hears the call for healthier take out, as the crust seemed full of healthy fiber. We took home left over, which reheated perfectly. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood.
(5)Perry S.
There is not a lot of good customer service these days, and it's more common for people to speak out about really bad service. HOWEVER, I'm happy to report that these guys are at the TOP of their Game!!! NOT ONLY is the Pizza Delicious Chicago Style Pizza...(FOR ONCE REALLY GREAT CHICAGO STYLE PIZZA THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRAVEL DOWNTOWN TO EAT) - but the Customer Service is pretty freaking amazing! It's also BYOB which is a nice perk as well. I love their pizza, and all the employees are classy, respectable, all around nice guys. It's just another reminder why this city is so great! Ask for Miguel...and you're pretty much in good hands. Good Job Boys, and thanks for the great pizza!!! Perry M. Simmons :o)
(5)Kahtan D.
I drove by this place on my way home from work tonight and I decided to give it a try. I ordered a thin crust mushroom pizza. The crust has butter on it which gave it an excellent balance of flavor and crispiness. The pizza was excellent. It took about 20 mins to prepare since they use brick ovens. Definitely worth the wait. Did not taste like a mass produced pizza at all; fresh ingredients, real butter. While waiting, I had a chat with the cashier who was very friendly. I learned that this is a family owned and run business which makes it even better. The place is well lit and very clean. I will definitely go back.
(5)Marc W.
I ordered a pizza and the only two good things that I can say is: 1) Fairly cheap 2) Crunchy crust But beyond that, the sauce, cheese, sausage and green peppers were all pretty much tasteless. The canned olive slices did have some tastes but not very good. Of all the Chicago pizzerias this one is below average in a medocre field. I would have preferred to pay more for higher quality. I'll stick with Apart Pizza. My search for great pizza goes on.
(1)Rob R.
The deep dish pizza is really good. I'm more partial to Giordano's because we had one right by our house growing up. That said, the pizza is tasty. It's not as filling as most other places because their deep dish seems a bit less deep than the other go to deep dish establishments. However, their pizza is much cheaper. And, no delivery charge!!!! I can get a large deep dish with sausage + tip for about $22. That's a deal and a half. This is why Nueva Italy is my go to deep dish place.
(4)David C.
Great thin butter crust
(5)Shakura H.
Seeing a new pizza resturant in the neighborhood is a breath of fresh air because of the lack of restaurant diversity in the barrage of taco restaurants in the Rogers Park end of Clark St. I have driven past the resturant a few times but finally decided to go in and order a pizza for delivery (it is on my way home). I walked in and the guy taking orders was realy nice and helpful, I asked him what their best pizza is he said they sell more thin crust but their deep dish is really good. I have to confess that I am a native Chicagoan and grew up eating deep dish pizza. I have not had it in years because I found it to be a big hunk of pizza w/o the flavor complexity of a good thin crust. I skeptically ordered a cheese deep dish with butter crust ( I was hopping they had fresh basil as a topic and beef; they didn't). I was so shocked at how good the pizza was. The crust is perfectly buttery and crunchy and flavorful. The cheese is flavorful, not too much, not too little, and the sauce is delicious! I didn't need the complimentary cheese & red pepper to add to sauce is so flavorful with the perfect texture, without overwhemling the flavor of the cheese and crust. Neuva Italy has the best deep dish I have had in many years. I did no miss the fresh basil or the beef. I will definitely be back!
(5)James L.
An incredible deep dish pizza that rivals Lou's, Pequods, Gino's East and all the rest. Ordered a deep dish sausage and it was delivered hot and fast. The sauce is excellent and I still have dreams about that crust. Highly recommended!
(5)JnK B.
The deep dish cheese here immediately became a favorite. We get it without butter crust and it's excellent. It reminds me a little of the original Gino's East. The sauce is a little less sweet than Lou Malnati's, which is neither better, nor worse. Just a difference. The crust is really great- more like a pie crust. Love it. We live in South Evanston and they deliver with no problem. Also, they have always arrived about 15 minutes before they say they will!
(4)Tom S.
My favorite pizza place was sold after almost thirty years and it almost immediately became no longer my favorite pizza place. I shopped around and just couldn't find anything that I liked. Then I found Nueva Italy Pizzeria on Grub Hub late one Saturday night and it had 4 1/2 stars. I ordered a pizza and a new favorite was born! I've only ordered their deep dish butter crust but I find it rich and tasty, without tasty too buttery or fake like some pizza place's butter crusts can. The sausage is spicy and is generously spread across the pie. Their service is friendly and quick. I hope they'll be my new favorite for the next thirty years!
(5)Allison S.
You know what? For going out on a limb and trying a new pizza place, this pizzeria was GREAT. I ordered delivery so I can't comment on the actual location, but the pizza I ordered was delicious. As a person who compares most pizza to Lou Malnati's, this place has a thin crust that could really challenge the big powerful Lou's...and is way more affordable. Their Nueva Italy specialty thin crust = a new favorite, their Garden Salad = simple, fresh, and good portion. Really. Kudos to this place - I hope your business flourishes!
(4)Kim Z.
I love this pizza! The deep dish rivals Lou M's and the thin is very, very good as well. The ingredients are fresh and there are plenty from which to choose. Delivery is fast and friendly, and my pizza always arrives piping hot. Love it!!
(4)Karyn C.
Just ordered a thin crust pizza from here. It was so delicious! The buttery crust reminded me of Lou's but from an independent shop. Delicious! We'll definitely order from here again!
(5)Maud W.
Ordered a deep dish with bacon and chicken. Was definitely one of the best deep dish pizzas I have had. Took a bit longer then I expected for delivery to arrive. But all in all, was great, and I will definitely be ordering from here again!
(4)Katey W.
I'm in love. Personal deep dish with butter crust. It's carefully packaged so it's delivered piping hot. The house salad is beautiful. Just beautiful. Sniff.
(5)Scott B.
This place was a nice surprise. I've lived in RP for 6 years and this is my new go-to pizza place! I haven't tried the deep-dish yet, but their thin crust is delicious. It's a lot like Lou Malnati's, IMO, but cheaper. Delivery has been consistently quick - 30-45 minutes every time. Highly recommended!
(5)M C.
If you like Lou's or Gino's you will like this pizza. Tell them not to cut the pizza so the crust stays crisp. Make sure to get the butter crust! Mmmmm soooooo good!
(4)Bill D.
This is the third time I have ordered pizza from here and it is the best pizza in the Rogers Park/Andersonville area. Thin crust pizza is solid with fresh, flavorful toppings. Tonight was first sausage and sausage was tasty and lean. Right amount of sauce and cheese - and as always, came piping hot. Great value - ordering online saves you 10% and all 3 times came within suggested delivery time of 45 mins. The Best!
(5)Todd M.
We tired them for the first time tonight. Their thin crust pizza is really tasty. We ordered the sausage, onion and mushroom combination and it was addicting. The crust was perfect. We also tried the jalapeno and mushroom poppers. The poppers were ok but the pizza was the best part! I would definitely order from them again.
(4)Jeff P.
The guys that run this place give a sh!t. They actually care about how their food tastes, how it goes out, and how I received it. For a small "Mom & Pop" neighborhood place like them, the feedback loop was unbelievable. From the time they picked up the phone to take my order, till my 2x pizzas were delivered they wanted to know if everything was OK. Secondly, I am eating the 2 pizzas right now - one thin, one deep-dish. And I am happy as a pizza eater can be. I was weaned on Lou Malnati's , Uno, Due, Gino's - and I have a high standard for pizza. This pizza ROCKS. Deep-dish (spinach and mushroom) has a buttery, flaky crust that stands on its own. Thin (pepperoni, mushroom and black olive ordered cut in pie wedges) was perfect. Perfect sauce, cheese and attention to detail. These guys are now on our "go-to" list for some of the best eats in Rogers Park. Glad I looked them up on Yelp, and glad I gave them a first shot.
(4)Jodi M.
I have been ordering from this place since they opened....still have an amazing product and have kept it consistent all across the board!!!!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!! You guys are definitely are favorite!!!!!
(5)T K.
Just discovered and tried Nueva Italy last night. We are late on the scene as we learned they've been open for 2 years! Sorry to not have gone there sooner. Pizza was great--we had deep dish with buttercrust. The crust was tasty and was crispy even after our walk home. Good amount of sauce/cheese/toppings. Awesome value for price. They offer Mon-Thurs special of med deep dish two toppings for 12.99, large 2 topping thin for 9.99. This is an amazing deal! The staff working there were so courteous and friendly! Went out of their way to chat and offered us drinks on the house while we waited for our pizza. I want to give them my business! This is such a great addition to the neighborhood. We will definitely be going back!
(4)Russell H.
I moved into the area about 6 months ago now, and this is by far the best pizza I've had around here. You really have to like a buttery crust, but if you do it's a very solid option. Both the thin crust and Chicago style deep dish (think Lou's) are very good, though I tend to lean towards the thin crust. Ingredients are fresh, prices are decent, and delivery is free. My one complaint is that the cheese isn't as gooey as I would like (on either style), not sure if it's because it cooled too much in transit or what (doesn't even get that gooey when I throw in the oven the next day). But just a minor complaint.
(4)Kiki B.
This place is great! Fast and friendly delivery, piping hot, crunchy crust, ample toppings, and very reasonably priced. A great neighborhood option for both thin and Chicago style crusts.
(4)James L.
You know you're doing a great job when I think of ordering from this place before Gulliver's now.
(5)Dori S.
(3)Penny L.
such delicious pizza and such helpful staff at the restaurant.
(4)Teresa C.
my new favorite delivery for italian! ah-maze-ing. tortellini cooked perfectly and the side of meat balls were the best I've had outside my family's cooking. delivery was crazy fast too. can't ask for more :)
(5)Lord Of T.

I love the bbq pizza here. If I want thin crust pizza this is the place I always order from. I usually do delivery and they come pretty fast ( I live close though). The delivery guy is always friendly. I also ate in a few times and the staff is really nice. I have no complaints :)

(5)Becky M.

(2)Daniel M.
The food here is great. But the people are better. Had an issue with an order and they called me back to make sure I was happy. They made it right. Highly recommended.
(5)Alex S.
(5)Amy L.

Perry M. Simmons :o)
(1)Kahtan D.
(5)Rob R.
(4)Jodi M.

This place is great! Fast and friendly delivery, piping hot, crunchy crust, ample toppings, and very reasonably priced. A great neighborhood option for both thin and Chicago style crusts.

You know you're doing a great job when I think of ordering from this place before Gulliver's now.

First time ordering (1/22/12) and we're sold. Food was hot at delivery. Everything was very delicious! The thin crust is crunchy, but not hard or cracker thin. The wings are very good and meaty. A+
