It's alright. Nothing special. Food's average. Price is decent.

I don't really understand why the food here is mediocre. The pieces of beef in the Pad See You are odd tasting and not seasoned enough and the Red Curry with Chicken is on the watery side. Really unfortunate since I could use a good Thai place in the neighborhood.
(2)Yvonne O.
Not what I was hoping for, but very cheap and fast if you are looking for lunch in the west loop. I went here for lunch with friends and ordered a large dumpling soup and some spring rolls. There has to be cinnamon or something in the sauce for the spring rolls - it was off. Then, the soup came and was hot and large, but the dumplings were drenched in pepper inside and the barbecue pork in the soup was really dried-out. The curries my two friends had seemed pretty standard - maybe I should have gone with that?

I'm sure that any respectable Thai person would balk at calling this cuisine authentic by any stretch, but that doesn't mean it isn't tasty. This location has been especially good to me. Quick turnaround means that a take out order takes 5-10 minutes to be ready so I can call from my office, pick it up hot off the grill in the time it takes to get there and go back without missing a step. The service in the restaurant is also pretty good. Nothing to rave about, but quick timely and accurate are all desirable qualities nonetheless. The food itself is tasty, not too oily in my opinion, and the appetizers are great. Not much to complain about from me.

not one, but two bugs in my food. effing gross.......do not eat here.

so i have walked by this place on MANY occasions and i have always wanted to try it but i got my first chance today. overall, i was very happy i did. i went there a little after 11:30 and when my coworker and i got there, the place was definitely more empty tables than occupied ones. by the time we left, however, the place was pretty packed as other yelpers have mentioned. when we got there, i wouldn't say that i felt like they were pushing us out or anything, i just felt like the service was very efficient. this efficiency decreased as the place got busier though. all of the staff stayed very friendly as far as i noticed while i was there. on to the food. we got crab rangoon (very good. six pieces, not large, but it wasn't just straight cream cheese, they had other stuff goin on in those little fried pockets and i was diggin on it), i got Pad Ki-Mao (very good again. the right amount of sweetness and the hot peppers weren't screwin around either, i was crying hot tears. noodles, meat and all vegetables in the dish were done to my liking. i ate the whole plate when i really did not want to... i couldn't stop. the person i was with got the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp. he said he liked it a lot, which was evident as he pretty much finished it all as well. it seemed like he got more food with his meal but i was fine with that as i had plenty of food. i gave this 4 stars for a few reasons. while we both liked the food, nothing really jumped out at me like, hey this is the best Thai i have ever eaten. it seemed like the menu is filled with a lot of very standard dishes that they seem to do a pretty well. i thought the service was pretty good, but i may not think it was as good had i gone there during the main rush. the prices were decent... not to high for the area. i feel like i can get the same quality of food for cheaper elsewhere though. if everything was the same and the prices were cheaper, i would probably be giving this joint 5 stars. i will probably be going back... yay me
(4)Tony G.
Other than the location being convenient if you're in the west loop, there's really no compelling reason to go here. Average service, average(or below) food, a bit high on the prices compared to neighborhood places. Kind of like 'Thai for Tourists'. I'll go back, but only if I really have to have Thai and it's not convenient to go anywhere else.
(3)Kelly W.
when i eat at thai restaurants, i usually don't venture away from pad thai. however, all that changed at my thai. when i work late at the office, there are very few options of places open past 4pm. the train station gets very old very quickly and i'm fortunate to have my thai so deliciously close! everything i've tried here is great! the portions are a bit on the larger side, but not enough for two meals. i would say it is a "guy" portion, in that its too big for me but not astronomically huge either. the service here is usually pretty quick too so you don't have to feel rushed by the time you get your food. if you're ever working late, i would highly suggest it.. or even if you're looking for a great spot for lunch!
(3)Mindy S.
My Thai is definitely a good lunch option when you're craving thai, but make sure you have time. If you get there before noon, there isn't too bad of a wait, but the place fills up fast. And the service is so slow once you order I almost wanted to get up and walk out. Seriously, it was that long. The food is good and it's one of the few thai places by work so I'm sure I'll be back, but I'm sure I'll again be annoyed at the long wait. Just be prepared.
(3)Tiara Lynn A.
My experience involved great food and fast service, though right after we arrived at 11:50 the line began forming. Lunch for two, in and out in 45 minutes, and both of us loved our food. The price was reasonable and the serving well-portioned for lunch, with plenty of food and no leftovers. My red curry was spicy and flavorful and not too coconutty (a big problem with many places). I was extremely pleased and plan to return.
(4)Kat A.
Decently priced, decent food ( a little on the greasy side), decently furnished, decently served (pretty quick for a Loop place at lunch) ... all in all not bad but nothing to write home about (although writing Yelp is the next best thing!)
(3)Sarah F.
I've always left feeling pretty satisfied, but I have yet to leave jumping for joy. They have your typical selection of Thai foods and do an average job of preparing them. The setting is nice, with booths lining the back wall of the restaurant. I have had several waitresses that barely seemed to understand what I was saying, but the meal turned out to be what I was attempting to convey.
(3)Andy G.
I am also having trouble finding a really good Thai restaurant in the Chicago area. Singah Thai or the King and I of Milwaukee need to open a location here. Menu items I recommend here are Pud Thai, curry, soups, and satay (Sp?). What makes this place average is a lack of outstanding menu items. The decor is simple and clean, but it is too minimalistic for my taste. This place is a good value. A lot of the menu items are priced under ten dollars.
(3)Christina S.
I had (and adored) the yellow curry. That syrupy sweet stuff on the spring rolls was too much for me, but the curry was some of the best I've had. Service was fast, but the place was basically empty. Nothing knocked my socks off, but all in all My Thai is a good bet if you're in the area and hungry. That the doors shut at 9 PM is a bit of a drag.
(3)PJ K.
Decent standard-issue Thai restaurant at acceptable prices. Nothing surprising or out of the ordinary on the menu. Good choice if you're already in the 'hood.
(3)Jenny A.
It was ok. Nothing out of this world, but decent. The food was mediocre and the prices reasonable. Service was ok.
(3)Lauren C.
the crab rangoon here is called "poo-thong" which always gets a few laughs out of the group, but it is different from other crab rangoon. it has more of a spicy kick to it. i really enjoy it when breaking away from traditional more creamy crab rangoon. this place is always full during the lunch rush. always! i loove thai
(5)Dan W.
Fast delivery. Great Thai food. The mini-egg rolls are pork-heaven. The thing that really pushed this delivery spot over the edge for me is the willingness of the chefs to make a plate spicy! I always request extra spicy from Asian food places and I usually get a couple extra packets of chili sauce. I asked for extra spicy and some jalapeños and My Thai delivered! My pad Thai was excellent...and spicy! Just what I requested. Great for west-loop delivery. Will order again.
(5)Ian T.
Went as a party of 8 during lunch for a work outing. The dining room is big so the staff was already working hard, but it was around ten minutes between the first and last party member got their order. Everyone was pleased with the quality of their food once it arrived, but nothing extraordinary. Most of the party ordered the bento box lunches, which don't have a lot of room for wowing the patron. I had the Pork Katsu Curry, and it definitely hit the spot. The cutlet was crispy and the curry was standard; a generous portion. Zero complaints on the food. My one big complaint is that our table tops had this rubbery textured coating which trapped old food and other particles. I'm sure they wipe them down with sanitizer, but it's disgusting.
(3)Shirley W.
I did carry out so I didn't really interact with the waiters/waitresses there. Just grabbed my food and left. It was pretty busy the time I went, it was around 1pm on a Friday. My carry out was pretty good! I got pad thai for $8. They give you a LOT. My container was packed. I'm a person who can eat a lot (....and I mean it). But I could only finish half of it. I also got a spicy tuna roll. It has less rice and more fish, which I really enjoyed that, they weren't being cheap in giving their fish. I would totally order a carry out again.
(5)Leang E.
I was trying to find a ramen spot near the loop and Takumi Ramen didn't have seating for the 3 of us so they told us to come here as they also serve ramen as well. We were seated right away, and we all ordered ramen. I got the spicy miso ramen, and that was pretty decent. I wasn't blown away, but it hit the spot on the first day we saw flurries. The prices were reasonable, but the service was definitely questionable. I think they may have a reputation for rudeness or not the friendliest, in which case I could see snippets of that with us and other tables where the servers walked off ignored people.
(3)Gina R.
Had the pad Thai and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi is just alright, but the pad Thai was delicious! I will definitely go back
(4)Erica H.
I had a spicy tuna roll but it really wasn't that spicy. I could barely taste the spicy mayo. Their service is good and they are very quick.
(3)Meredith B.
Good place to grab a quick thai meal in the West Loop. Seating and service happen quickly - they know their clientele is probably on a time schedule! The interior is cute, which is nice because I prefer to sit in a place with good atmopshere than just a grab-and-go joint. You can order from the Thai menu or the sushi menu, and the Japanese restaurant next door has ramen that you can order from here too. So many choices!! I got a seaweed salad from the Japanese side, which was yummy and fresh and had lots of sesame flavor. I got panang curry noodles with tofu and enjoyed it just fine. There was tons of curry sauce over everything! Plenty of noodles and fresh bell peppers.to much on. It's affordable, and not outstanding, but a really solid Thai lunch option.
(3)Calvin Y.
Not so good. $5 Mini Egg Rolls -- bland, but is good if you're craving something crispy. I got their Stewed Pork Ramen ($8) and it tasted like really bad pho. The broth was really bland, however on a positive note, the stewed pork was tender. This place is probably best for those who live in the Presidential Tower and don't want to leave it.

The experience we had with My Thai was nothing short of a disaster. We ordered delivery (bento boxes). We were told 40 minutes on the phone and they were not delivered for 1.5 hours. When they finally arrived, all the food was cold. In addition, the packaging of the boxes allowed for dipping sauce to soak the sushi, rendering it inedible. Aside from the delivery issues, the chicken teriyaki was just plain disgusting. The chicken was strangely rubbery and the sauce was watery and flavorless. The tempura was also flavorless and soggy. The experience was just plain awful. When I called to complain, the chef was very nice and apologetic and offered me a credit for the amount that we ordered. I will use it on some kind of pad thai - never ordering a bento again.
(2)JJ C.
Ok food, ok price. Nothing to write home about but it's a good option if you're in the West Loop and want a quick lunch and you're craving Thai.
(3)Jessica M.
My Japanese friend and I came here around 2pm on Friday. It was after lunch hour so the place was rather barren. We ordered the Thai spring rolls and lunch special with one California, Alaska, and spicy tuna roll. The rolls were only $11.95 and the miso soup was complimentary. The spring rolls were refreshingly decent. It had a thin, floury wrap that didn't have a sticky texture. It also went against the traditional as it was served in a plum sauce that blended very well with the ingredients. (I believe the usual sauces are sweet & sour and Nuoc Cham.) The maki rolls were standard and very economical for the price it charged. No complaints there. The complimentary miso soup on the other hand was downplayed. My friend suspect it was made from an instant soup pack. It was disturbingly salty.
(3)Ryan B.
Pretty good Thai food. I go for a curry, usually. It's pretty good. They have one of the better crab rangoons I've had. The bento boxes are also good and filling!
(4)M D.
So many great memories of delicious food here. When I think of Thai, this is the best I have enjoyed. I have to say, the original Printers Row location was better.
(4)Sara B.
Check your order before the delivery guy RUNS out the door. Last time they forgot my rice, which happens...right? I would go back if it were not for the R U D E response when i called and asked for rice. I love me some red curry, but i will not go here ever again.
(1)Patrick W.
Typical thai food, decent prices.
(3)Paula L.
I used to work in the area and have been here over a dozen times. I've also been to their other locations and they all have delicious food. My past visit was not as excellent as I remember. The service was poor and the waitress got our order wrong. They are conveniently located near CTA and Metra which makes it easy to pick up dinner on the way home.
(4)Faris H.
I came for dinner at 8 pm, for the 1st time visit .. The waitress was so rude and not even smiling, The food was bad for me Obviously re-heated with microwave !! Although she said it's not !! For me it's the first and LAST time ever to visit this place again ,, it's the worst Thai food ever !!
(1)Sampad D.
It has nice ambiance. I went there at around 2 PM on a Saturday and I could feel that they were not really interested in serving. I ordered green curry and a bubble tea. The green curry was on the sweeter side. I would have liked it to be spicy. The rice along with the curry was raw and it further degraded the taste. The bubble tea was also not great.
(2)Roxanne R.
I'm a fan of My Thai. I've dined here and had carry out and I've never had a problem getting a table at noon and my carry out orders are always always on time (less than 10 minutes) I've had the panang curry with shrimp, pad thai, and lard nar and i think all of it is very good. The portion sizes are your typical generous Thai portions. i recommend this place if you're near by and are craving some yummy Thai food.
(4)Christina H.
what i ate: chicken pad thai, shrimp tom yum came here for a quick take away lunch on a biz trip to chicago since it is right by our offices. read the reviews before so had min expectations. i ordered off their reg menu so not sure what the lunch specials are like but it was pretty pricey for my 2 items totaling $17 (yikes). pad thai was ok. not a lot of flavor and wish they gave lime slices instead of lemon. pretty large portion though and it did the trick to fill me up. tom yum was huge, maybe they have a smaller portion i missed?!. it was very hot even after carrying back to my office to eat so that's a plus in this weather. flavor was a bit odd though, not bad, just exactly what i am used to. also the veggies were cut extremely large so almost impossible to eat as a soup with a spoon. was a nice way to warm up. overall decent at best and definitely overpriced for a lunch takeaway.
(2)Michael S.
Eh eh eh... Rude servers. Food is eh. They wouldn't give me fish sauce with chili peppers which I feel is essential to have with a lot of Thai food I eat. Just overall not a place I want to frequent anymore.
(2)Seijin J.
Food not so tasty. Pad Ki Mao was ok, but Pad Thai was not so good. The Mongolian Beef was small portion of meat with lots of rice. Not so good either. Finally, the DonGatsu Ramen was not so good either.
(1)Stefanie G.
Way over priced for mediocre quality. Got Basil Chicken and I have had way better at other places in the city (namely Cozy Noodles in Lincoln Park and Evanston). My boyfriend had chicken fried rice which was better, but still nothing to write home about.
(2)Mari Y.
Not bad. My friends and I met here for lunch during the week. It's a Thai restaurant that serves Japanese and other random Asian dishes that Chicago people are familiar. I ordered the pad thai with tofu. Nothing to write home about. With it being so busy the service was quick. Good place to go if you have catching up to do and food isn't the focus.
(3)Ed S.
Not a bad place -- I've had both lunch and dinner here and the food is good, especially the curry dishes. Soups, salads, and appetizers are all fine as well (especially the Satay). This can be a totally different place depending on when you show up. The times I had dinner there, it was quiet and laid back. During peak lunch hour, however, it can get very crowded very quickly (and noisy as well). O.K. for groups but it's probably a good idea to plan on showing up either before or after the noon-1:00 timeslot on weekdays. Service is O.K. in terms of speed and I've never had a bad experience in that department.
(3)Jared P.
The curry sucked and wasn't spicy enough. They didn't really give a lot of food. My girlfriend's noodle soup was so-so. My honeydew bubble drink had undercooked bubbles and was just a slosh of ice and sugar. Service sucked. Never again.
(1)Marie N.
This is only my 2nd time eating Thai food, so I'm no expert on authenticity. The Shrimp Pad Thai was very good. Of course I would have liked more shrimp but what was there was very tasty. We came at the peak of a Friday lunch hour but were still seated immediately. Our server was very nice. The menu is very large. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked good.
(4)Annie L.
note: i made an account JUST so i can write my honest review on this restaurant. Me and my two friends wanted to try this place out because we were craving for some really good oriental food. First off, the interior decor is great and looks quite elegant so we thought the food would be at least average. Our server came to our table, was polite, and he took our orders like any server would. Then, all of a sudden our server changed. He wasn't serving us food anymore and we believed it was because the restaurant was EMPTY and nobody had much to do during the down time. One of our dishes was the "Katsu Don" (presentation was horrible as the 3 of us had NEVER seen a katsu don covered in egg and SOGGY. and yes, we are all asian too..) and it came with Miso Soup and for some very odd reason, the soup came before our crab ragoon appetizers (below average presentation). Our entrees were the pineapple fried rice, katsu don, and the pad thai. One good thing, the plates are nice and they give you a lot of portion. Seriously, I've had MUCH better dishes than these. Everything was below average, either too bland (pineapple fried rice, pad thai) or WAY too salty (katsu don). My friends and I didn't want to be rude so we just kept our comments to ourselves about the food and just decided to pay and leave. Our 2nd server brought us our check, and we ended up having EXACT change. So, we paid cash, the 2nd server took it and we got up from our seats to put down the tip then leave. Then, our very FIRST server came up to us (he didn't speak english well), put down the bill and laid out the bills and just said "uhh" for like 3 minutes and finally said, after a huge awkward silence, "generally, in american culture, you're suppose to tip your server..." and we were SO surprised but more importantly, OFFENDED by his comment. He said "ohh.." and left after we told him we were putting the tip on the table. All three of us were born in America so do NOT preach about us not knowing the "American culture." I made this yelp account JUST so i can complain about this restaurant and at that "SERVER" who decided to stop serving us in the middle of our visit. We were SO furious and will NEVER visit this restaurant ever again nor recommend to others.
(2)Raquel D.
Decent Thai at decent prices and close to work. Let's say it's 3 1/2 stars. I'm a semi-regular (mostly in winter) since it's close by. They have decent portions and it's pretty nice when you're in the mood for a sit down lunch. i don't know if i necessarily crave anything they offer as it's not mind-blowing, but I'm not turned off by anything either. Panang, pad see eew and fried rice are all pretty good. It's gets super crowded during peak lunch hours so take-out or off lunch hours would be the thing to do.
(3)Sarah M.
My Thai is conveniently located in Presidential Towers where both the residents and the public can access it with ease. The place is always packed during lunch time and for good reason, the food is very tasty. I have brought many people to this restaurant and they have enjoyed their food as well as their service. About twice a month I order the pineapple curry shrimp with extra sauce. There is something about the simplicity of the sauce that goes well with a chicken breast and a bowl of steamed broccoli made at home. I'm not one to fall in love with a sauce but this is an exception. Unfortunately on my part, I did not get their names to list in this review. The next time I'm there, I will make it a priority before ordering.

Good fast quick and easy

HAIR. In Food. BUGS. Walking out of the Food. ZERO PERCENT CHANCE I'm returning to this place. I moved to the area Halloween 2011, was craving Thai. This place was close, had some 'decent' reviews so gave it a shot. I ordered Panang Curry for me and for my roommate, got some crab rangoon and some chicken satay--Ordered a Thai Iced tea as well. Said the delivery was about 45 minutes. Driver was lost but finally made it after an HOUR AND TEN MINUTES - Hi, you're five blocks from my house. The driver FORGOT my Iced Tea and told me it WAS AN INCONVENIENCE FOR HIM to go back to My Thai and bring me back part of the order I was already charged for. Got the 'manager' on the phone who didn't understand why the driver didn't turn around (maybe if you MANAGED better?) and credited me back the stupid iced tea. Fine. I don't care I'm hungry. I dive into my satay (decent but oily) and then get started on my curry. Flavor? Pretty decent. Giant chunks of peppers though so thanks for skimping on the chicken. Couldn't enjoy or critique it much further than that because there was a FOUR INCH BLACK HAIR in my curry. I almost lost my entire meal vomiting into a moving box I was so disgusted. Called the manager back AGAIN and made them credit me for this terrible curry, yet he wanted to bring me some more. Really? I didn't get enough hair in my first round? No thanks. ******* Fast forward to tonight. I give this place a second shot to redeem itself, and my roommate and I actually dined IN this time. I try the satay and the curry for a second time, my roommate takes my cucumber salad and then orders this chopped chicken salad thing. We have less than average customer service, ice in your water is apparently out of the question. So we make do, the music is atrocious and there aren't even that many people in the restaurant... THEN out of my roommate's salad A BUG CRAWLS OUT. Not to be confused with the gross gnats or fruit flies that are flying peskily around our light (Isn't it winter? Last time I checked we don't usually see bugs in winter?), but this bug looked almost like a flea by the way it would crawl then hop about the plate and table. YOU GUYS, SERIOUSLY if there's any time to start health code posting, this is the time to begin. Post a big FAT "F" outside My Thai until the Health Inspector comes in, fumigates, and actually makes the chefs wear hairnets when they cook. Then, and ONLY then will I even consider stepping foot in this disgusting, poorly controlled 'restaurant.'
(1)Jonathan K.
Over the past two weeks I've eaten lunch here three times. I've been satisfied each time. Each time I've had fantastic food, whether a rich, savory curry (which is spelled currie on the menu) or the Teriyaki beef. Get here before noon, though. The place fills up quick!
(5)Lena W.
I eat here quite often. It usually gets quite crowded around noon. The portions are a good size. Easy to share. Prices increased a little bit, but not enough to be unreasonable. Love the spicy beef fried rice. Wish there was something as good near home. They do however, urgently need new plates and silverware.
(4)Yiqing W.
My Thai at PT is a nice one. It has plenty of different traditional Thai dishes, which can fit into my Chinese taste. My favorite is Pepper Steak, which tastes like home. The noodles are also delicious. It has fried noodles and noodle soup, which I like both. Somehow I don't really enjoy the curry. The eating enviornment is decent. And the take out order is very conveninent for me, since I live very close to the restaurant. Good one to try.
(4)Phil E.
2 Words: Hidden Gem. Great food at a great price. If you like spicy I recommend the Pad Ki Mao. Definitely check this place out.
(5)Jon V.
This place is definitely worth a visit, and the best Thai food in the loop. I don't understand how anybody can rate this less than a 3 star. I've been here several times over the last 3 years, and each time I go the food is amazing, the only issue that I have with them as during the lunch hour expect to be there for at least an hour. Not the fastest group of people. Over the past couple of months, I've seen improvements in their food. It had already been great, but they are finding new ways to spice it up and adding a finer touch to the end product. A hidden gem and a must try lunch spot.
(4)Sasha B.
Do not get the bento box! The pad thai here is decent but only stick to ordering thai food from this place.
(2)Kelsey K.
Oh My Thai, how I want to love thee, but alas, I can only give you a "Meh". Oh, too bad, super frowny face. Okay, so here's the scoop. I'm addicted to Japanese and Thai food and I work by Union Station, so it would naturally work out that our paths would cross. I've been there before, but I ordered pretty mundane stuff, so you can't really judge good Thai on non-signature Thai dishes. Well, I ordered some signature dishes this go around. Their crab rangoon (which they call Poo Thong) was, um, weird. First of all, they charge an arm and a leg for them and then they give you 6. Okay, news flash My Thai: THIS LOCATION IS A LUNCH SPOT, DEVELOP YOUR MENU ACCORDINGLY. Don't serve large portions and charge a ton... I mean, really?!?! I ordered the Tom Kha soup and I got about a half gallon of it. Don't get me wrong, I love Tom Kha but I'm not entirely stoked about eating it for the rest of the week. Not only that, but their panang curry isn't so delish. It's brown... ewwww... Okay, so if my favorite place (The Spice, on Milwaukee) delivered here I'd be set. But it doesn't, so I'll continue my quest to find really good, affordable Thai for my office hours... and what a quest it is... Final Verdict: Not true Thai, and not truly good... at all.
(2)Angie M.
Word to the wise: Get to My Thai early for lunch during the week if you want a chance in hell of getting in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Service is touch and go. The waitress come to your table quickly, but then they're rarely seen again. So you better nurse that diet Coke... you're probably not getting a refill. Truth be told, the food isn't too bad! I stick with things that are hard to screw up like Pad Thai and Pad See Eiu, though, so perhaps the more adventurous eater could be disappointed in their entree. It's a tolerable lunch option within walking distance of my office.
(3)Bill M.
My Thai is tucked away within the lobby of Presidential Towers in the West Loop. The food is decent if not spectacular. I ate a spring roll and a noodle dish with beef and rice. I ate here with one of my co-workers during lunchtime, and that time just flew by as the place looked rather busy. It may be best to alert your server ahead of time if you are "on the clock".
(3)Apara W.
This location is inside the Presidential tours- I have had here 4 times and every time I eat from here, my tummy hurts. So never again for me. Veg noodles, fried rice, red curry- nothing was "amazing". Very mediocre Chinese take out type place. Blah.
(2)Borbine K.
I feel compelled to share with my fellow foodies why I like going to THIS particular Thai restaurant (vs Thai Village, or Satay, or Thalia/Thalia Spice) is the portions are well worth the cost and it always tastes consistent, and fresh. Sushi here is good. I like the sushi rice in the rolls and nigiri, it has a subtle sweetness to it, and compliments well with the ingredients in the rolls. My favorite thing though, is the Salmon Teriyaki lunch bento combo @ $11.00. You get a small seaweed salad, small green salad w/ ginger dressing, 3 pcs of California roll, side of shrimp and vegetable tempura, miso soup, rice, and salmon teriyaki. Everything tastes so delicious, and always consistent. Great carry out. Lunch gets super crowded, but very fast service.
(4)V B.
Visited here on a Sunday evening to pick up green tea ice cream and two thai iced bubble teas to go. It took almost 30 mins! There was hardly anyone in the restaurant so no excuse. In addition the ice cream & bubble teas were awful and it tasted like they used powdered coffee creamer to make the thai iced tea.. I've also had lunch here before and the quality of the food is mediocre at best. Don't waste your money here.
(1)Jordana G.
I was excited to finally try this place. It's in my building so I've walked past it a lot. My boyfriend decided that tonight we would go there instead of McDonalds (which is right across from it). For starters the bubble tea smoothie was okay. We tried the mango and Thai iced tea ones. The actual drink part was not bad but the tapioca seemed off because it was way too soft. This was nothing compared to the Mongolian beef my bf had ordered. He was so disappointed by it! He has been here a few times before for lunch at work with some friends and he told me it tasted way better then. When I tried it all I could taste was the over powering taste of salt and way too much pepper ( actually made me cough and my nose start to run). He then got the waitress who we explained to her how off this dish was. She then got the manager who we then had to explain the same issue to her. She told us because we ate some of it she couldn't send it back. I then told her not only did we try mixing it with the rice but I also tried some of it to see how bad it was. She then said she could send it back for the same dish or for something else. We told her the same thing because Mongolian beef is my bf's favorite dish. The second helping he got was better than the first but still had too much pepper in it. The manager then asked how it was and admitted she has never tried that dish herself T_T again just disappointing.the pad Thai I ordered was actually pretty good but did not over shadow the bad Mongolian beef. And the preverbal cherry on the Sunday was after we told her the Mongolian beef was okay she just threw us the check. Maybe I actually wanted to order tempura ice cream?? Feeling like they just wanted us to leave I didn't order it and we just paid the check and left. Still disappointed, really wish this place was better!

Ok, I used to go here a lot and referred people to it. Yesterday, I decided to never think about ordering from them again. Why? Because I found a bug in my food. I've worked in food service a lot, so I think I cut restaurants' accidents some slack. But when I called them, the 'manager' tried to get me to be ok with them remaking the food; WHAT?! Why would I ever agree with that? It wasn't like they made it wrong... there was a bug in it! I told her I would only accept my money back. So I walked back over there and she didn't even greet me; simply said, "you paid with credit card, right?" Um no; you dont remember taking $10 from me 15 minutes earlier (not even during the lunch rush, I might add)? She was just being a pain in the ass because she said, "Give me back the 20 cents" so she wouldn't have to give me change out of her drawer. What ever, lazy bum. So yeah, I got my money back, but not really any apology and nothing to say "sorry for your trouble and here is a gift card so you won't write a bad review on yelp." Not that I would have used the gift card, but I certainly would not have written this if they didn't act like I was being an inconvenience to them. Don't go here; you just can't win with these people...

Great lunch spot if you work in the area. The prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and I got my Thai fix for the week. Will definitely go back.

I like this place, but mainly for one huge reason; they serve Mussaman Curry! I love Mussaman and it's not always found at every Thai restaurant. This Mussaman comes with the traditional brown Thai curry, meat, potatoes, and peanuts. It's pretty good and I recommend getting a little extra spice added to it. I will say, however, that it is not the best Mussaman I've ever had. That has to go to this Thai restaurant in Bloomington, IL called The Thai House. There they put sweet potatoes in it and it seems there's definitely more spice to it. I usually order carryout, but we decided to eat in today and it was pretty good. Service was what you expect, but I did like the crab Rangoon and everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes. I give it four stars because compared to other restaurants in the same league, this one is not too bad at all. My Thai may not make me shake my hips from excitement, but my hips are at least moving to a different beat. (Wait, that didn't make sense...oh well).

We ordered spicy basil with vegetables and the waitress got it wrong. Our dish had chicken...no big deal, still tasty. She neglected to bring us silverware....again no big deal. The most enjoyable part of the meal were the mini chicken egg rolls. OMG, I could eat those bad boys al day long. The absent minded waitress brought my review down a star. The food is always good.

Still go here for every so often... only due to lack of alternatives. Had a horrible customer service nightmare here. This is a popular lunch place in the area.. although I think the quality has gone down significantly in the recent years. We ordered our food and had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. Then the order came out wrong. They said they'd correct it... I told them we don't have much time left to wait any longer and proceeded to walk out. Then they asked me to pay for the meal?!?!!??! WTF... really? Thinking about it still makes me angry. Then they told me either I pay or I'm not welcome there anymore.

Let me just say this: "I'd like to order your fried rice, extra spicy please" 10 minutes later... regular fried rice with two hot sauce packets. WTF.. I told myself that although I work only a block away I will never go back again. That's until I went with a coworker last week and the noise pollution from the construction was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. 20 minutes later after the meal I see him running to the bathroom in which he tells me that was the worst case of flying projectiles since the hiroshima bombing. Nope. Never going back.

I don't know if the 4-star instead of the 3-star is because of the lack of choices for good Thai food in the city! But this place was decent - nothing great - but at least somewhere I can eat decent enough pad thai and so I'm okay with it.

After getting home from a weeklong vacation in Mobile, AL, my apartment had absolutely no food in it whatsoever except for maybe some Diet Coke and Trader Joe's garlic fries. Also, I was really craving some crab rangoon. Sadly, our favorite Chinese place was closed, but Thai sounded good. My bf and I have eaten here before at the restaurant and had a mediocre experience. The sparsely filled restaurant still didn't dictate decent service. The food was okay then, enough to satisfy and nowhere near authentic flavors. The takeout experience proved to be about the same. We ordered some of the regular faves including some crab rangoon. Even though we live about three blocks away, the order would take an hour to get to us. I'm hoping that part of it was because of the bitter cold temps. Once the food arrived, it was again okay. The crab rangoon pieces were tiny, but the spiced up plum sauce was tasty. After the quick appetizer, I went straight to my pad si eew chicken. In general, it was decent, but there was a lot of grease which made some of the noodles a little less than desirable. It makes me wonder if they just dumped the contents of the wok straight into the to go container. My bf's pad thai seemed to have the same amount of greasiness. Overall, it was just a decent delivery experience. The lack of quality really keeps me away from frequenting this place. I get a greater quality for the price at my Chinese place than here. I'll stick to Chinese and search out a new Thai joint in the future.

I've been to this place several times and always with a group. The food was never great. I've eaten several noodle entrees, usually with chicken or veggie and several appetizers. I didn't enjoy any of it, it was eatable but not enjoyable. Everything I've had there had an extremely heavy fishy taste. Having chicken or veggie was like having fish. Service was never friendly, not interested in serving and always super slow. Ambiance is that of a cheap questionable food joint with break apart disposable chopsticks. Food cheaply and fishy prepared. Thai urban kitchen just down the street much better!
(2)Bella D.
Great place to grab a bite at lunch or dinner from work. I enjoy their lunch specials and their service is fast. We get the Bento Box dishes or some yummy Thai food :) Pad-See Eiw and Beef :)

The Rama Chicken entree is my favorite. I enjoy stopping here for dinner. Good service and a great meal.

No, I'm not a regular. Yes, I searched high and low on yelp for a Thai place around this neck of the woods that I could easily walk to. It was such a relief when I arrived, finally, I could pick up some tasty Thai to nosh on the train home. My dish on the menu was listed with a SPICY pepper, this is great because I have a volcanic flavor palate. BLAND SALT is all I could taste! I had to douse so much red pepper sauce on it to even stomach it that I had issues comfortably sitting the following day. This could have been easily avoided if they would cook the SPICY listed dish properly, My Thai on the Metra was a train wreck.

I ince ordered a to go Thai Chicken Fried Rice and it was horrible to say the least. It's better to grab a burger from the McDonalds right opposite to it than spending $$ get this crap..Never again
(1)Kyle H.
My Thai never disappoints if you're looking for good thai in the West Loop. I love the Red and Yellow Curries and if you like bubble teas don't forget to order one! If you've got a big group expect to wait a little bit, staff is friendly and adequate. Order the plum or mango Bubble tea-- ask for it at the end of the meal To Go!

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Presidential Towers building. I've never had any problems ordering carry out here. The food takes about 10 minutes to prepare after you've called it in. The place is extremely busy during lunch hours so try to eat early or have a late lunch. The food is somewhat flavorful depending on what you order. I tried a coconut tapioca drink here and I can tell you it was not good. I prefer Joy Yee bubble drinks instead. The food here is reasonably priced and the servers are friendly.

After years of dining at Siam Rice, it was time to try out My Thai. I went with group of coworkers right at noon, so of course it was crowded. We were all starving so we decided to skip appetizers and ordered our entrees right away. However, while waiting for our food, I saw the waitresses bring out some mouthwatering appetizers so we changed our minds and flagged our waitress down and added in an order of egg rolls. Egg rolls came out right away, piping hot but were just ok - lots of shredded veggies but couldn't find sight of the meat it was supposed to have. It tasted good because we were starving but in retrospect, it wasn't all that great and I would try out the other appetizer before I venture back to the egg rolls. I chose the pad kee moi for my entree - spicy wide rice noodles. The noodles were really good - sweet, salty and nice heat from the spice. There were a few large pieces of shrimp that were cooked well but the chicken lacked any appeal. Huge chunks of dry chicken breast, which goes back to how I rarely order chicken with my thai entrees because the chicken always comes out dry (pad kee moi came with shrimp and chicken). Someone ordered tofu pad thai so I got to try out the tofu and it was so bland! If someone never had tofu and tried my thai's tofu pad thai, they would think tofu was horrible! It definitely did not do tofu any justice and i'm quite sad because I usually order tofu with my thai dishes (by default, its usually good) but now I won't know what to order next time. The pluses this place has over Siam is that it is closer to work for me and perhaps its a bit cheaper. However, I would definitely choose Siam over My Thai anytime.

Smallest $2.00 miso soup i have ever seen. Got it to go!!! measured at home..... 3.5 OZ of miso soup.

I was pretty happy with their Panang curry (though i'd ask for extra spicy next time), as well as their pad thai (same problem). I also tried their katsu kare (Japanese curry w fried pork cutlet) which I've never even seen in Japanese restaurants in Chicago (SHAME!). It is pretty good, not as good as cocokare or anything but still not bad if you need a bit of japanese curry every now and then. Also, everyone there struggles to speak English which I think is a good thing.

This is THE SPOT near downtown for inexpensive, tasty Thai preparations. I usually don't eat out, but when I do, this is my choice for lunch or a quick dinner. My Thai is not for you if you want fine dining or hip decor. It's more of a takeout place -- though the dining room is fine for what it is. My Thai punches way above its price in terms of quality.
(5)Matthew T.
Very yummy. I came here for lunch with my gf andth her father and got in just before the rush. Service was prompt and the menu was very similar to most other comprehensive thai menus I have seen before. I was feeling noodles, so I got chicken pad ki mao and it was good, but pretty standard. The noodles and sauce seemed as though they were traditionally seasoned and the vegetables were cooked to a good firmness. It was all very good, I just wasn't wowed by anything. It tasted like your standard thai food and was reasonably ppriced, I will eat there again if I'm in the area.

It seems you can generally figure out the popularity of a place judging by the crowd - and this place was packed. In the mood for some Thai food instead of another deli sandwich, we hit up My Thai. The food came out fast - and everything was delicious. I opted for the chicken red curry, which had a bite, but was complemented well with the perfect ratio of coconut milk. Don't get stuck trying to figure out what to eat - the menu is huge. Definitely a great sit-down lunch spot for those on a schedule.

Hidden towards the back of the lobby in Presidential Towers, I was a little lost in locating My Thai. However, it was a decent Thai place which was a little empty at dinnertime. We were there around 6:30pm and there were probably only three tables dining at that time. We tried their curry, pad thai and lad nar. Overall - decent and nothing wonderful to rave about. At the same time, nothing to complain about either. It's probably a great dining spot for the residents of Presidential Towers and convenient for those who work in the West Loop to grab lunch at.

Another day of hanging out and doing the tourist thing with my co-workers. We actually went to the location on Michigan Avenue. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat on our way to Millenium Park. I seem to eat Thai food everywhere I go, so to be honest there wasn't anything outstanding about the food (we ordered Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, chicken/beef satay, and crab rangoon), but the service was very fast and efficient. Everything arrived fresh, hot, and quickly - and when they were bringing us our second order of pad thai, a couple of shrimps dropped to the floor. Our server went back to the kitchen and actually brought back some shrimp in a small dish! I definitely liked Thai Kitchen better.
(3)Kar M.
I've had consistently good quality food here, both takeout and dine in. Never a very long wait, always fresh and delicious. I especially recommend the pad ki mao with tofu. My only beef with this place is the inconsistent portion sizes. I have ordered an identical meal as my dining companion and seen them given a good 30% more food. (I enter this situation as a bitter woman because my companion has broken the cardinal rule of food sharing (order something different!) so this really sets me off..) But otherwise, no complaints!
(4)Tom K.
If you want decent Thai food My Thai is the place. But definitely stay away from the sushi. It was a huge disappointment.

Well, my lunch from My Thai was a disaster. Yes, I know I only work about two blocks from this place but I wanted delivery - don't ask. They took my order and said it would take about 45 minutes. About 15 minutes later the delivery guy confirms my address and says he's in front of my building. So I go outside and stand....I continue to stand....and stand....I gave up after a couple of minutes and returned to my desk. The phone rings and its the delivery guy wanting to confirm my address again and to tell me that they had given me the wrong order and he would be back in 5 minutes. I said fine and I would stand outside and wait for him. So, I'm standing....and standing....and standing again...... I give up and go back inside. I decide to wait a bit before doing anything. About 15 minutes pass and I call the restaurant. They tell me he's left with my order and it should arrive soon. About a half hour passes and I'm finally about to cancel the order when the delivery guy calls. Apparently, they had really screwed up my order and he had to have them remake everything. I still tipped him because its not his fault and he was gracious enough to try and refuse the tip but I forced it upon him. LOL. Now let's get to the food. The pot stickers were the fried kind, not steamed and they were cold and had a fishy taste. I moved on to my cold veggie wrap thing (think giant spring roll), which was pretty tasty. And finally, my main course, tom yum soup (tofu). Well, I guess I am spoiled by the Thai place by my house because their soup was seriously lacking. It had about 6 large chunks of green pepper floating in it, some tofu and a couple of giant mushrooms - honestly, I felt like I was shrinking and my food was expanding - these mushrooms were HUGE! I like all the other stuff that's usually in my tom yum soup - the bean sprouts and the other crunchy bits.....this was just...kind of boring.... Oh, and from a coworkers experience, avoid the pad thai here - when you order chicken or beef they don't put any veggies on it (uh, wtf??). You get peanuts, meat and noodles. And the tofu kind, while it comes with veggies, tastes a bit like the smell of wet dog. Today was the end of My Thai for me....I would seriously suggest going elsewhere if you can! I'm not sure how people gave this place 3 stars. Now, I don't think they deserve negative stars like Comcast but two stars would really be pushing it...
(1)Jeremy W.
Not that big of a Thai food fan but with My Thai an exception is in store. Food here is pretty good and doesn't appear to be hastily made and oily like other Thai joints frequented in the past. Went there today and had the Cashew Chicken which delivered! It consisted of fresh vegetables married with sauce (ginger?), cashews, mushrooms, pineapple chunks and a few tiny red hot peppers - all accompanied with a side of steamed rice. The chicken tasted a little gamey but it was tolerable. Verdict: Not a bad meal. We left full with everyone needing to burp or fart.
(3)Dan E.
I would give this place negative stars if I could. So although I'm going to come off sounding like a West Coast foodie-snob, let me just say that this IS NOT THAI FOOD. This isn't even good for whatever it's supposed to be -- Chinese Diner-Thaiesque fusion? I don't even know where to begin...the flacid, pale, rolls in some weird Cinnabon-like paste? The bowl of Skippy that was supposed to be peanut sauce? I'm floored and can't even write anymore. Please, I beg you -- don't eat here. Times are tough, so save your hard earned $$.
(1)Annie K.
Hooray! Finally, a place that has decent pad thai and REALLY good crab ragoon! Our service was quick, the food was inexpensive ($15 each for an entree, split appetizer, and a dt. coke - with tip and tax!). Portions are large, so expect to be hungry or have enough for lunch the next day. I'm a fan.
(4)Laura M.
This place is average. I guess if you are in the area it may be Ok to go and if you are starving. I had the Green Curry and I just wasn't impressed. I'm looking forward to trying Thai Pastry due to the recent Yelp reviews. Can't wait!
(2)Litha R.
Wow! I couldn't believe the food was that bad the first time, so I gave it a second chance. The beef salad was the worst I've ever had. The beef was too thickly cut and very chewy. It was served on iceberg that was so finely chopped it was soggy and mushy. The flavor was too much on the fish sauce side, lacking the citrus tang. I will not be going back there.
(1)Susie C.
This place is OK. Nothing special about the place. Some of their thai food is an interesting mix, but it's not bad. They bring your check over to you before you even finish eating. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing. It's not crowded when I'm there. There's a lot of seating around so I don't know why they want you gone so quick.
(3)Pearl U.
The best Chicken Pad Thai I've ever tasted....but I've only had this in 4 different restaurants...I keep coming back to My Thai!!! It sure is convenient since I stay in the Presidential Towers. I've never seen it busy though....they don't usually open that My Thai side, the other restaurant that's connected serves the food....
(4)Shannon D.
I am an incredibly picky Thai food eater...I've had some of the best Thai in the world (in Thailand) and I have to say this was some of the best I've had in the US! My Panang Curry was perfect and the best fried tofu ever...light and crispy. Did I mention the thai iced tea?! Delicious. Highly recommended and you can't beat the price.
(5)Pete D.
I really enjoy coming here when in the area. Always a great meat at an excellent price!
(5)Cathy B.
I live super close to My Thai so whenever I don't feel like cooking or driving, I go here. I' ve tried their crab rangoons which is not the best but average. Their beef pad thai is pretty good and they give you a nice portion. I've also tried their green curry and I wouldn't really recommend it because it seems a little bland. I do love their thai ice tea. I never had to wait too long for the food, probably 15-20 minutes max. And I never have to make a reservation because it's not usually busy.
(3)Seth U.
I had ordered some food from from My Thai today for a work luncheon... never again. I went safe, the Woon Sen Pad Thai... what I got was an orange noodly mess, peppered with chicken, tofu, peanuts and green onions. Bean sprouts and egg had also been advertised but they must have ran out. What a shame. If you work in the SE Loop area and are looking for Thai food, look elsewhere... I've never had a pleasant experience here.
(1)Liv H.
The pad thai and pad see ewe is pretty good here. The green curry and thai ice tea is very good! It's convenient if you live in Presidential Towers. I always get take out from here and they've always been on time.
(3)Nikki G.
i have a question for My Thai.... How can your food be called Thai? I can't believe how terrible the food is here. Thai food? REALLY? Are you kidding me? My dog wouldn't eat the food from this place. I had the shumai, store bought of course, and the panang curry which was watery and soupy. and last but not least, the pad thai, come on, it's like a signature Thai dish. How do you mess that one up? I would never come back here ever again. The service was good, but the food...really?
(1)Stephen W.
They offer plenty of good Thai choices and put enough on your plate to fill you up. An good added variety for the west loop lunch scene during the work week. They do tend to get you in and out quickly during the lunch rush, so you may not see your waiter/waitress a lot. The line can get long and bottlenecked, so be ready during the lunch rush.
(4)Rudy W.
the food are ok. the phad thai is actually pretty good, and some of the curry is not bad.
(4)Jami K.
Went here with some friends on a Holiday saturday and it was a pretty mediocre experience. I know that Weekends are usually kind of slow in the loop, but they were extremely short staffed. They only seemed to have two waitresses working and they were bussing, seating and taking orders on top of everything. It took about 15 minutes to be seating and in that time we weren't even acknowledged. The restroom is shared with other businesses in the building which meant there was a ridiculously long line...boo! Anyway, while we were seated, we were never asked about water or drinks or anything, which wasn't very nice. Our food did come relatively fast and it was your typical tasty thai fare. It was also pretty cheap, always a plus. I definitely won't go out of my way to go back here, but I may give them another chance when they have a larger waitstaff and aren't so slammed.
(2)Walter F.
well some of the food is ok some is ehhhh. I ordered for pick up today and i asked for a Thai Ice Tea and i received a half a cup of thai ice tea, they didnt even fill up 3/4 of the cup so i am upset about that. Their main dishes is ok, i say stick with the appetizer they seem to be more delicious then the main meals. If you ever eat there be prepared for good or bad depends on the waiter, Ive had some waitress that look at me like I'm stupid for asking for a knife and fork. some other are really nice and attentive. if your in the area and want thai well then try it, its not expensive but if your at home thinking i want to go out to thai or where can i take a date or something stay way.
(2)Nancy H.
A typical Thai restaurant. Keep in mind that I don't think I've ever had exceptionally good Thai food, except maybe Siam Rice (Wells & Washington), which was only slightly above average, but My Thai definitely soothes my itch for Thai food at least twice a month. They have your standard selection of appetizers, noodles, curries, and entrees, and there are some Chinese dishes too. Portions are just right for lunch. Prices are reasonable too: $5-7 for appetizers, ~$6-7 for noodles, $7+ for entrees. I did enjoy the cocunut curry over fried catfish, though. That was unique! Come here before noon, though; the line gets long! If that's the case, at least there are other places to eat within Presidential Towers.
(3)Michelle S.
Went in with a friend from work on a Thursday afternoon, about 1.30. The place was deserted. We got a table right away, were greeted promptly, and had our water glasses filled. We ordered, and our food was out and eaten within half an hour (yes, we were really really hungry). The portions aren't huge (as far as Thai food portions go), and I thought my Pad See Eiw was okay, but not great. I've definitely had better. It is definitely nice to be able to go to a place and get a meal quickly, at a decent price (seriously, it came to $20 for the two of us), and be back at the office in an hour.
