We were left a flyer for this restaurant on our doorstep, and when our favorite Chinese place suddenly closed its doors, we decided to try it out. We ordered: Combo Appetizer (2 egg rolls, 2ribs, 2 fried shrimp, 2 fried wonton, 2 bbq pork, 2 fried wings, 2 crab rangoons) Egg Drop Soup Wonton Soup Sesame Chicken dinner special Shrimp & Broccoli (small) Total with tax came to around $30. The food was pretty good. The shrimp fried rice was delicious, probably some of the best I've had in awhile. There were plenty of shrimps, and lots of flavor. The chicken wings were delicious. I would definitely order them again. The shrimp and broccoli was pretty good. The broccoli was crisp and fresh, but there weren't many shrimps, and the sauce was thick and gooey. When I reheat the leftovers, I'll be rinsing the sauce off. It was kind of gelatinous, and not a nice texture. The sesame chicken was covered in a sweet and sour sauce. We would not order this again. It was my husband's meal, and he woke up sick all morning. I didn't eat this, and I'm not sick today. We didn't care for the ribs/bbq pork, which are pretty much the exact same thing, except that one is on a bone and one isn't. The sauce tastes like the same as the sesame chicken sauce with a bit of bbq sauce thrown in. Not good. All in all, the food gets a 3 out of 5. We ordered at 7:30, and our food didn't get to our house until 9:45 pm. This was on a very ordinary Tuesday night. I told the delivery driver to let the manager know that I am very upset that it took 2 HOURS to bring us our food. His response was that he is actually one of the cooks that lives down the street and that he was told to deliver our food on his way home. So basically, they were waiting for his shift to end so that he could bring me my food over 2 HOURS later. I won't be ordering from them again. It's a shame because I really did like some of their food items, but the fact that they care so little about their customers just isn't acceptable and they certainly don't deserve my business.

Haven't tried much, but the veggie egg rolls are 5 star, big time! The pork fried rice was pretty good, absolutely LOADED with pork, but wasn't very BBQy. Delivery was very fast. No doubt I'll be back!!

My mother and I have come back to this place to eat three days in a row! This is old style Chinese cooking in the flavor is out of this world on all of the dishes we have tried and we try something different every time!

I was referred to this place by a coworker who said their food was pretty good. I ordered the sesame "chicken" lunch special which came with an egg roll and chicken fried rice. I honestly think my dish was made with whatever pork and chicken was available at the time. I truly hope this isn't the meat they use in all their chicken dishes. It was AWFUL! I tend to cut open meat before eating it and one piece was pinkish-brown on the inside; I'm 99% sure it was pork ( and under cooked pork at that)!!!! Mostly all of the sesame "chicken" pieces were fat disguised by the deep fried breading on the outside. I ended up throwing the whole thing away and seriously thought about vomiting up the food I did eat. Never ordering from here again... If I get sick they will be hearing from me!

Quick and easy. Good food. All the typical Chinese food we expect. Delivery available. A pretty nice local spot when you get the hankering for Chinese food. Nothing pretty, but solid. Friendly people too. Just thinking about this place is making me hungry.

I dropped by here on my way home from Physical Therapy and had their Shrimp and Lobster Sauce with no rice. I hadn't had anything to eat that day so a nice big meal would have sufficed nicely. Later on that evening I noticed very bad abdominal cramps. The kind where you're bent over in pain after an hour and shaking because you're finally realizing you now have food poisoning from the cooks' lack of possible hygiene. It took 4 hours for the pain to subside enough for me to sleep that night and today I'm still fighting it. Never again will I drop into this place and unless you enjoy being stuck in the bathroom and dehydrated, in pain, I suggest you do not eat here as well.

In a mall next to a grocery store. Do not expect to dine in this place, there are tables but I never seen anyone dining in but always see people after people coming in to pick up their take out orders. As many people have been, this became our go to spot for quick take out Chinese food. Our usual items are mix between followings: beef chow fun, egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, kung pow chicken, and mongolian beef. When you make an order request free crab rangoons over egg rolls. Their egg rolls are mediocre at best but crab rangoons are fantastic. All of them are pretty good but their chow fun is exceptional in my book. You would not regret it. There are many take out focus Chinese restaurants around here but so far none has better than this place. I highly recommend this place.

So moving to Chicago in 2010, I had to find some new Chinese restaurants. I was 0-10, and was getting frustrated. Then I dialed up Mayflower Chinese. Now this place is delicious! Some of the best fried rice that I have ever had, and that's all that really matters to me. Not super greasy, and doesn't make me sick either. Now that I'm living in Skokie, and am 0-7 here, I usually just drive the 20 minutes to grab my grub from this place.

For the soup alone I used to come here often, they would replace my green onions with ginger when I was sick. I stopped coming for a while sad to say they do not offer ginger anymore. Needless to say, great bubble tea.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
