Gyro, fry, and drink are solid. They are pretty consistent in food quality. Lots of choices. Really quick with pickup/delivery.

Food pretty good but prices are extremely high for your typical hotdog joint. 8 bucks for 2 hot dogs? pricey! The menu is huge! almost too big.. it takes a while to get through it and decide. everything from classic Italian dishes to a Mexican menu to typical sandwiches.. I will continue to come because it's blocks from my house.. but I wouldn't go out of my way.. you can find food that's just as good for a way better price elsewhere.

Went here tonight for dinner. Place was busy, dinner time. Girl at the register clearly is a new worker...I don't mind that. (We all were new at a job at some point, right?). When she asked the other girl (I later found out that her name is Penny) a question, who was so very busy making shakes, Penny not only turned around and talked with attitude to her, but to us as well. The line was getting longer behind us, and Penny did not see the need to help her, nor the other people in line. She turned back around and 'dismissed' us and continued on with the shake-making. I felt sorry for new girl, so I reassured her that she did a great job and wished her luck. Food took long, more than 20 minutes for a burger, steak quesadilla and some beans and rice. People who arrived way after us came, ordered, got their food and left. Wouldn't have minded that much, if the beans and rice weren't ice cold. I've been coming here for a long time. Service has continually declined. My visits are fewer and farther between. It's a shame because they have a great menu and you can satisfy just about anything you might have a taste for in one stop. After reading some of the comments on here, I guess the owners don't care anyway.

Food: 5 stars - really delicious and flavorful gyros - good meat-to-pita ratio. I love that they use white onions, not red, and that they are sliced paper thin so as not to be overpowering. Atmosphere: 4 stars - it's a typical quick service greek place - but cleaner than many others I've seen, which I appreciate. They also have an outdoor seating area with about 10 tables. Service: 2 stars, but I'll give it 3 because they were at least *trying.* We came in last Wednesday for dine-in and had the dog with us, so while G sat outside with the pooch, I went inside, ordered, and waited for our dine in order: a cheesesteak and a gyros sandwich - both of which came with fries. I was shocked that I waited 25 minutes for this order. When I say they were trying, an older gentlemen, presumably the owner, kept asking me what my number was, so I would tell him. However, that didn't stop other orders, which were taken after mine and should've taken longer (burgers and chicken sandwiches - which are cooked to order) from coming out before mine. Lets get one thing straight, gyros is already cooked. It's revolving on a spit, just waiting to be shaved off, maybe kissed by the grill, and dressed. Cheesesteaks do not take 25 minutes to cook. So, either my order got lost somewhere, or something got messed up and had to be re-done. Mr. "what's your number" was also not very apologetic or motivating to his staff... he would just ask me my number and say "I'm telling them (cooks) to go faster. Well, I was standing right there, you really weren't, just saying "where is number 123?" About 3 times. And it still took 25 minutes. At least the food was hot, and the fries were crisp. Not sure I'd opt for dine-in again, but Brandy's is a good option.

Brandy's is a nice place with a big big menu. They are a little on the pricey side but I got their Italian beef and fries. The beefs are good here and the fries are good too and I'm a big fry guy. If they would lower their prices a bit then I would frequent them more.

I really like Brandy's because it has such a wide variety of food to pick from. Most fast food restaurants don't have half the menu choices that Brandy's has. I work in the area and many times I don't have time to eat at a large restaurant. I need to get my food and run and I don't want a hot dog or hamburger all the time. Brandy's offers great Gyros, Beef Kabobs, Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwiches, Steak Fajitas, Taco Salad, Turkey BLT Clubs, all kinds of Pasta Dishes, Fish N'Chips and even BBQ Baby Back Ribs. These are just a few of the items on their menu that my family has tried and love. They also give you generous portions so you have something to munch on the next day. My husband always orders the the double chicken breast sandwich so he can take half home with him. The other thing I like is all the side dishes they give you along with the main dish. Everything is so good there it's hard to make a decision. The Dine-In area is always clean and looks very nice. There's always a TV on so you can watch your favorite sport team or catch up on news events. The only reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is there is no drive thru and parking sometimes is a little crowded during the lunch time hour. But otherwise it's a must go to Fast Food Restaurant.

I like Brandy's. I have been a NWsider for a long time, too long to remember. When the hubs and I moved into the neighborhood, we felt the need to explore every restaurant within our general 5 block radius. Brandy's is located right on Harlem and is a breeze to get to and has a little parking lot. Brandy's is super bright and lit up. Most of the time we order out, sometimes we get it delivered, and a few times we have eaten inside. I enjoy their salads and burgers which seem fresh and made with care. The hubs enjoys the chicken philly. This isn't your typical grease pit because they serve a wide variety of foods and is clean. I would say that Brandy's has something for everyone (dieters and non dieters unite!) The food comes out fast and made to your specifications. The service is good and friendly. I really enjoy this NWside hospitality. The only bad thing I can say is that I think the prices are a little high for the food you are getting. We don't indulge at Brandy's as often because of those reasons.

The food here is great! We've eaten here numerous times. WARNING!!!!! If you order something for delivery, you need to SPECIFY that you want napkins and silverware. I understand small family owned businesses need to keep costs down. Maybe the delivery driver should keep some in his car....

I must have passed this joint a thousand times by now, but I finally tried it out today. I walk in and see an enormous menu that basically spans the entire wall. Not knowing what to get or what was good, I asked the girl at the register a few things about the choices and she seemed like she knew what she was talking about. I ended up going with #1 on the menu which was the gyro with a drink and fries. I do have to agree with what other people have said about the prices. $8.95 for just one gyro, fries, and a drink? It certainly isn't the place to go to if you're looking to save some money. I asked to have it to-go and got my order in a few minutes. When I actually got around to eating it, I was surprised by how packed the gyro was. There was so much meat. I asked for everything on it so it came with tomatoes and sauce and some onions. It was oily, but tasty nonetheless. The fries were also good. They were cooked just the way I liked them - nice and soft inside but with a slight crunch on the outside. I'll probably come back again and try something new. Knocking off a star for the prices though.

Chicken gyro all the way! I get it with the normal gyro sauce and tomato and omg amazing. I'd eat it everyday If I could. I have never been disappointed!

Better than average food, but I have to say it's the HUGE menu they offer for whatever mood you are in. It is a staple on our dine in and delivery schedule as a family.

This also includes the store on Milwaukee Ave as well. Great variety but way to expensive for the quality of food you get. Not one single item stands out compared to other such food joints in the same area. Again, the one positive about this place is that it is truly a one stop shop. Quantity not Quality. This could have been fixed by now ... I wouldn't know it because I will never do this again. They now offer on-line ordering. The last time I used this option I was billed $7.00 more, no not for delivery nor that the tip was included which it wasn't, nor for a "convenience fee", again it wasn't. No I was charged this because their web-site at the time did not reflect their store price change, again at the time I was not aware of. I called the store after finding out that my receipt at the time of delivery did not reflect the receipt I "AGREED TO" on-line. After 45 minutes of arguing with the manager that should not be the customers fault and that "the fault" should be on their inability to control their web-site the manager agreed to reimburse me the difference. After several months they never did, What I said before I still stand by ... 2 stars for quality. ZERO stars for business sense. I lost $7.00 ... by my estimate they lost a few hundred $$$ by not correcting this.

Hands down the WORST beef in town. The beef and hot peppers taste out of date. Definitely won't come here again.

Weird... It took me a while to remember when I ate here and why I was all the way out in Norwood Park! Anyways, I realized it was on the way to the reception for a friend's wedding and we weren't going to eat for a while. Enter Brandy's. So essentially this is a Greek fast food place with your typical gyros, chicken, burgers, etc. It does have bigger sized meals which I thought was neat, but not right. Food was good, but not out of the ordinary for this type of place. Same for service.

Nothing special but food was edible. Prices a little higher than many other similar spots in the area.

This is not "fast" food. We waited 25+ minutes last night around 6:30 for a souvlaki sandwich, a gyro, and two orders of fries. I will think twice about coming here again for a quick meal on my way home. Would be faster to go home and bake a casserole.

Worst burger I have ever had. Ordered the double burger and got to rockhard patties on a bun. They still tasted like they were frozen, Except grease was dripping from them. Don't waste your time at this place.

Nearly $10 for a gyro, fries and drink? It better be excellent for that price. Its just above average here. Seating and parking are easy. Very friendly staff. Dont get me wrong, its not a bad joint to go to, just expect the prices to be a little higher than your typical gyro spot.

This is the second time ordering food from This place but I don't think that I will go back anytime soon. I ordered a polish with fries. The polish did not taste that good and the fries were cold I never had cold fries before. The grilled onion that I ordered with was also cold and it was cut in big chunks. The food is a bit pricy for what you get.

We order from here for delivery and we pick it up. There's so many options to choose from that it's hard to decide . My guy loves the gyros. I will say that it is getting pretty expensive there.

I got the Greek rotisserie chicken and it was very good. Nice flavorful skin and the meat was juicy and fell off the bone. The corn nuggets are also really good. I was expecting more of a corn fritter, but this is less doughy and more of just deep fried sweet corn. So good though.

The menu at this place is pretty overwhelming, and it could really stand to drop a dozen or so items from the board. There are a few gems here, and the best recommendation I can make is to GO GREEK. The gyros and Greek chicken? Great! Italian sausage is dry and bland. Burgers are hockey puck-ish. If Brandy's just stuck to their specialties, I would bump this rating up for sure!
(2)
Brendan M.
Adequate but too over priced for what you get. I looked up the menu online and ordered over the phone. When I paid, the total for two sandwiches was almost $10 more than I was expecting. I don't know who's at fault but the online prices were a whole lot cheaper. Would only return because of the close distance to my home.

I remembered when this was tasty pup where i had my first pizza puff and fell in love! New name, i had to try it! Had lunch delivered, I got the spicy chicken sandwich which came with a drink and fries. The sandwich was great! First off it came on a onion bun which had great flavor just wish It was toasted! The highlight was the spicy sauce that was actually spicy. Places like this to me though have a lot riding on the taste of the fries and they did not disappoint! They were crispy and flavorful. Overall great favors so many options fair prices! Ps they even delivered during a blizzard! Have to five them love for that, deff trying more here!

Went here for the first time last week. Their menu was unbelievable. I am not sure if this is in any relation to the Brandys on Oakton in Des Plaines, but it was very good.

As soon as I walked in this place I knew I would love my food! The girls by the registers always make sure your order is complete and they repeat it so no mistake is made! The cooks are fast and food is just perfect. 1/2 Greek Chicken with choice of potato and choice of soup, salad or cole slaw for 9.00 with tax where do you get that? It was so good I am definitely coming back their salads look awesome! The guy that was sitting next to me had Ribs he told me they were falling off the bone. Their menu is huge but its worth to take the time and choose. I love this place !!!

Brandy's is a Greek-at-heart fast food place with a huge menu (almost overwhelming, really) of food items: gyros, souvlaki, hamburgers, pizza, hot dogs, Italian beef, steak sandwiches, pasta, salads, a whole Mexican sub-menu, pork chops, fish, ribs, breakfast items and on and on. I stood there like a deer in the headlights while staring up at the dozens of menu board signs hanging up near the ceiling. I mean, there's 32 meal combos listed, alone. Brandy's is part of a small local chain: Brandy's in Des Plaines & Chiggy's in Hanover Park making up the rest of the group. It appears they all have the same menu. I went in at lunchtime on a Saturday. The place was packed, with many families and kids, most seeming to be having a good time. And yeah, the place was LOUD. You order at the register near the door, than wait for your meal at the pick up window down near the soda pop machines. My order came up within minutes Seating, though not a huge amount, seemed adequate, with standard 4-top booths along the wall and some high-top tables in the middle of the room. There's outdoor tables for nice weather, along the reasonably large parking lot. I had a very nice lunch combo for $7.99 (plus tax, no tip necessary): a large overstuffed gyros in pita with onions, tomatoes & tzatziki sauce, along with a large order of standard fries and a fill-your-own cup of soda (I chose Minute Maid lemonade, though most Coca-Cola products were on the spigots). With so much coming and going, the doors were constantly opening and I found the place a little drafty (this being late January). The restroom was very clean and functional. Overall, Brandy's is a nice place to go for cheap fast tasty food. And there really isn't anything like it for a mile in any direction, on this largely residential stretch of Harlem Avenue.

I wanna give this place more stars but the prices are ridiculous.... $12 for chicken sand fries and drink. Don't get me wrong the sandwich is fantastic but over priced. The menu is OVERWHELMING. Fast foods, Greek, "Italian", Mexican and breakfast. You don't know where to look first. One chicken sand says chicken "patty" in other words processes garbage patty $7 without fries and drink. Terrible. I don't eat that garbage and the lady was telling me it's all white meat. I said no there's a difference between patty and actually chicken breast, no thank you. I ate here twice and probably can't eat here for a while because of those damn prices. $4.49 for a grilled cheese with no fries or drink? GTFO

Driven past this place a bunch, but never stopped by. Partly because the Yelp reviews are pretty off and on for this one. Tonight, the place I intended to go was closed to Brandy's it was. I got the gyro meal with everything... everything being sauce, onions and tomato. Cost was kind of high for a "fast food" type place, but I do agree with others when they say that the portions are quite large. Especially the fries, I couldn't even finish them. Overall I thought this was tasty. Not sure if it's the best I've had, it was somewhat greasy, but the pita was absolutely packed with meat. I give it 3 stars only because of the price I guess. If I'm going to pay $10 for a sandwich, fries and a drink I could probably go get a good burger or something at a sit-down place right down the road and honestly that would probably win over Brandy's unless I was in a rush. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the food preparation was fairly quick, appropriate for cooking/preparing food instead of throwing pre-made stuff out the window. I'll probably be back. Not a first choice, but not a bad choice either.

Too much on the menu. . Honestly having a value meal that goes to #30 is insane. . Food is blah and seriously 8.50 for a shit gyro. ..nah I'm good!

We have lived in the area for three years now and this place seems to get worse and worse. I mean, we would get food from here anytime we came into the area before moving here and it was top notch. The service and quality of food have gone to shit since the owner opened places in more lucritive areas. The guy with the glasses running this location seems to care about quantity instead of quality which is a crying shame since most places in this area suck and charge way to much for below average food. This place has gone from one of the brightspots of edison park to just another overpriced dump people around here seem to settle for.

This is a great place for Italian Beef sandwiches. They will fill you up. The beef is not dry or tough. It is so good and juicy. They offer sweet peppers and hot giardineira peppers. They have amazing curly fries too. I usually call ahead and place my order so I don't have to wait for it.

Brandy's is one of my goto's for a last minute, "gotta get a decent meal in my belly and I don't feel like cooking" places. I usually get the Chicken kabob plate with rice and Greek salad (hold the onions, they are a bit strong). The chicken is cooked to order & very very juicy. The rice is very tasty and full of flavor. It comes with a nice decent tahini sauce and pita. It's very filling, but I usually follow it up with a side of Greek cream of chicken rice soup... nice thick and tasty. The place has a menu that take up a whole wall... offers a lot of plates. Your typical Gyros, burgers, dogs, fries and even tacos. Whatever you're in the mood for they have it, they even deliver and you can order online. Pretty good last minute goto.. and its right down the street :D

NEVER ORDER DELIVERY! These people are so ignorant. I swear on everything I love that almost every other time I ordered from there, these people would forget something or make something wrong. Compensation?? Hah usually they say 'oh well we will bring it to you now' I hmmm ya ok because I'm supposed to let my food get cold and gross so you can complete my meal. I have even told them to triple check my bag. Now why the hell should I even feel the need to do this? They're rude cheap with fixing food. I'm fed up with their BS. I'll never give them another chance again.

I can only comment on one food...the gyros. I think this place makes the best tasting gyro. I'm not a expert on gyros, but compared to the places I've gone to this one is the BEST for me. The portions of meat in the gyro is great. The service has alway been fair. They need to smile and be more welcoming. One last thing, I'm always cold in this restaurant whether is winter or summer!

Ok when it's good it's good I've been here a lot and not one time can I say the food looked or tasted like crap or come to think about it it's never been not enough I eat on the road a lot everyday and this restaurant keeps me coming back they have there shi... Together and for delivery there like a certain fast food chain that uses freaky fast for a slogan I am always amazed at how fast they are keep it up brandys keep it up thanks for not using cheap ingredients it shows even your hot dogs can't be touched by too many places
(5)
Vivian K.
Out of 10 times I ask for utensils/napkins, I get them ONCE! It's delivery, yes I need napkins and a fork! I include this in all caps in the message part... and still nothing. This happens with the Brandy's on Milwaukee too! If I really need to pay extra for this I will.
(2)
Maggie A.
As everyone else has said: huge menu! Problem, not that much of is not deep fried or grease-filled (which some days is just what the Doctor ordered, ya know?), but the salads are huge and very pretty. If you can't find something to eat here, just stay home. Patio for summer months too!

Great Italian beefs. Been there a few times and the food is consistently good. Definitely worth a visit.
(5)
Erin P.
I've tried this place 3 times and each time my food was just ok. First time I had the chicken gyros. Bread was burnt and I was picking very small bones out with a few of the bites I took. Needless to say I threw it out and ended up making something I had at home. Second time I tried the steak burrito. It was very very bland. Rice and beans served with it were good but disappointed by the burrito. The last time I had a hot dog. Nothing special, but better then my other two times. There are much better hot dog places out there though in my opinion. Biggest turnoff was the first visit. Brandies hasn't really changed my mind about the quality of the food.
(2)
Dominick D.
I don't know what everyone else is tasting from this place, but its mediocre at best. In terms of food, everything is generic and frozen. The chicken gyros is always burnt, the fries are tasteless and soggy, the burgers are dry as a bone, and the soups are thick and bland. This place has steadily gone down hill in quality. Now for the rest of the establishment. The parking lot is a complete clusterf*ck. it's easy to get in but no so easy to get out with limited spots. The menu is a weird fusion of Greek, Italian, and Mexican. It stretches across the length of the restaurant and takes forever to read. Good luck if you decide or just give up and take the first thing you see. The prices are too high and to top it off, they screw up your order almost every single time. This place has gotten away with taking my money and not giving me my food a few times. I've finally had it and will NEVER go back there. There are 20 other similar establishments in a 3 mile radius that I'd rather go to before I choose Brandy's. Get an identity, get better food, and get your orders straight.

Really yummy burger, gyros are good, fries are super yummy steak fries. Brandy's delivers and they are quick and nice. 5 stars, not a complaint to be had here!

Jelena Z.
Brandy's has probably the biggest menu I've ever seen. Don't let it intimidate you! Everything from hamburgers to gyros to quesadillas. It's a bit of a challenge to find something healthy, but they do have salads. However, if you've a hankerin' for some grease, they do it right. The chicken gyro is really, really good. Some of the best chicken I've ever tried off a spit-- it's very thinly sliced, juicy and well-spiced. The only caveat is that their gyro is served with what seems to be mayonnaise instead of tzatziki. Yep, they've found a way to turn something relatively healthy into a fat trap! But not gonna lie, it tastes so good. A see a lot of cops here, so you know it's decent.
(3)
Jenni S.
The usual Greek-inspired fast food fare. Gyros are pretty good. The salads are humungous - ask for extra dressing, subs are pretty decent and the grease is king. Corn dogs, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, mozzarella sticks, the works. I come here for the rice pudding, which is just sick (in a good way!). Only cons i can say is that it's greasy and stay away from the chicken rice soup, which is very bland.

Great turkey burgers! When I walk in the nice lady at the register already knows my order!

I was in a hurry and extremely cranky from being extremely hungry and did not want to stop at a fast food place nor did I have time to stop at a place like Panera when I saw Brandy's and make a quick decision to stop in. (WHEW! Longest run on ever.) From the outside, Brandy's looks like a complete hole-in-the-wall (I've driven by it so many times but never gave it a second look). The inside is bursting with bright colors and funky decor. The restaurant is larger than it looks and has plenty of seating, plenty of menu options, and a very nice staff. We ordered our food to go -- Italian beef was wonderful and hot dogs were.... well, regular good hot dogs. French fries just like any other place like this - good. If I lived a couple blocks away from this place, I'd be visiting on a regular basis!

The food is pretty good. The gyros is delicious but the food is overpriced for sure. The older lady cashier is very rude and lost my business. She needs a smile on her face and fix her personality.

Huge menu and good food! Its a local neighborhood spot for me. Service is always friendly and the food is always good. The chicken gyros are outstanding, not to mention their portions are big as well. At times however it can be a bit pricey depending on what you order. But I would recommend to any one in my neighborhood.

Another great experience. Ordered online, walked in, picked it right up, and was back home in minutes. Always good food. They do have higher prices, but they give you enough food to make it worth your money!

Brandy's offers a variety of food from burgers and fries to Italian dishes. Everything I've ever tried has been good. So why only two stars? It aggravates the hell out of me how inept they are when it comes to taking your order. What's the point of calling ahead when they'll just screw it all up? The other day I ordered a chicken gyro and found a regular gyro sitting in front of me when I opened the box at home. Today I called ahead for ravioli. They took the order but waited till I got there to tell me they were out of ravioli. How about the many times they told me my order would be done in 10 minutes and I showed up to find out the Greek potatoes needed another 20 minutes to cook? Or they're out of Greek potatoes. Side salads or sauces? Better check your bag to make sure it's in there before departing for home. Brandy's would probably operate smoother if it were run by a bunch of baboons. The owner should maybe look into that.

This place is amazing! I work nearby and never tried it. Finally went with a buddy of mine and it did not disappoint. We ordered double cheeseburgers and they were perfect. They had a side of fries and a drink. All for around $7.50 and definitely worth it. I seen a variety of meals here from ribs, to fish dinners, to hotdogs and burgers. Next time II am in, I will grab a gyro. I just need to make sure I am hungry enough for it. I like the old school scarface era feel to the place.

Tons of menu items and a decent spot to get fast food char. Although, they are a bit too pricey. The other night, I picked up three dogs, two orders of fries and the total was around $15. When the dogs are your typical Chicago style which are just a regular size, that's way too much money for a dog that small. (Advertise: They don't pump out enough char smells on the street. I love it when you're driving up the street and the smell of char food hits your nostrils, that's not found here. Which is a main reason I forget about'em when I'm driving through the area) The inside is brightly colored with lots of neon, which kids seem to really dig and outside, seating is available within an enclosed gated area. They give you the eye when you ask for ketchup on your dog. Look! customer's always right!, right?

The food is pretty good here. I had a taste for tacos and thought I would give them a try. They were good. The meat was tender and had a good flavor. There may have been a little too much salt, but not so much I couldn't eat it. The toppings were fresh and the salsa had a very good flavor. I have had other items here in the past and from what I remember there were all good. I had to knock a star off for the price. It was pretty high for a fast food place. It was clean inside. The people were friendly. I would probably go again, but not that often just because of price.

I often forget this one is even here, because we go to the original Brandy's, in Des Plaines, so often. I love that they, unlike most similar restaurants, actually have a kids menu - smaller gyros and sodas for the little ones. That aside, it's just as good as the original Brandy's in quality, if not in service. I haven't been for a while, but I do remember the last time we stopped in having to wait a while for our food, but understanding because it was during football season and it was obvious they had some big to-go orders. The gyros are very tastey, as are the hot dogs and burgers. Whenever we're in the area, we typically stop at Brandy's for lunch, as it's always reliable in its quality.

People who review places like this should really consider the type of place they're reviewing before they get upset. This isn't Alinea or Tru, it's Brandy's. Who cares if the employees barely speak English and drink Modello in the parking lot? It's a Chicago junk food spot! Food is decent here. The fries are cooked well. The gyros are super super greasy though. I don't like mine dripping and I prefer mine cut thinner. The menu is hilariously large. You could eat every day here for 6 months and probably not have the same thing.

My home is located smack-dab in the middle of "Brandy 's" and the famous "Superdawg"... now I know Superdawg is a Chicago icon, but when it's so readily available to you it's loses some of the novelty. Brandy's on the other hand consistently serves up great Hotdog/Gyros/Hamburger/Fries type food. Speaking of....they have fantastic fries! Some our favorites: Chicken Pita (it comes with a yummy honey mustard, but I like their Gyros sauce) A Gi-normous Chicken Philly Cheese Sandwich (it's on the "Hungry Man" side of the huge menu board-my husband gets it and always claims after he finishes it 'Uggg..I'm stuffed, but was it good!") Gyro Plate (one of the best on the NW side) and their good 'ole Vienna Hot Dogs. If your in the mood for some good, fast, no nonsense, tasty hotdog/hamburger stand food, you will not be disappointed.

I've been going to Brandy's for years! When I am in the area and need a fast bite to eat, Brandy's is the place. Have you seen this menu? It's HUGE! You just start to look at it and you are asked "can i take your order?" I feel like saying "Gimmie 20 minutes please".....it's that big of a menu!!! The food itself is good........typical grease pit.......good beef, mozzarella sticks, gyros, steak sandwhich.........fries are good too! It's a bit on the pricey side but over all it's good food! If you're cruising down Harlem Avenue and need a fast bite to eat........stop in! Give it a whirl!!! Yum!!!

I've known this place since it was Hollywood Hot Dog, and more recently, Tasty Pup. I have to say, this is my favorite incarnation. The menu has taken off on some kind of Big Bang- it almost spans the entire wall of the restaurant. Everything is clean and the service is damn quick. I ordered a hot dog, which was above average, a steak taco, which was surprisingly good, and some cheese fries, which were perfect. They had a couple HDTVs with the ball game on, and the whole joint had a friendly, relaxed vibe. Great place to hang out over the summer, for sure.

I get lost here!! : ) Love coming here for quick lunch with my bff gal and we order too much as always!! Maybe a Gyros or Cheeseburger and a pizza puff! LOL Parking lot is great but full always at lunch time but a great place for some major calories treats! : )

This place is pretty good. The food is solid. The pork chop sandwich is the best I've ever had, better than Maxwell Street. I liked the super nachos. The char grilled hot dog is very good. The corned beef sandwich was OK, the problem with that is I have to compare it to Elliott's. The Gyros are good. The prices are a little high, but the delivery is excellent and the variety is fantastic. Don't understand the bad reviews.

This place is crazy! It seems pretty, busy. All kinds of people frequent this joint. The workers can sometimes be kind of rude. I just come here for the gyros basically, and they are good enough to hit the spot. Sometimes, you have the cravings so you have to go get it where you can. The gyros are so big that I just normally order a kids meal so that I force myself to work on portion control - which is a perfect size. I may try some of their other stuff in the future, but for now I'm just sticking to the gyros.

Most people might think Brandy's is just like every other hot dog joint or greasy spoon, but it really is better than that. This is one of those situations where it is hard to explain if you haven't actually been there or live in the neighborhood. People love this place and I have never been there where there aren't at least 3 or 4 groups of people at the tables all chowing down. Whenever I am hungry for some gyros (and my wife isn't around), I will walk over to Brandy's for some good food off the grill. Their menu is the size of a football field which is usually not a good sign of quality, but I will attest that everything I've tried has been good. There is going to be something there for everyone, I assure you! It is just good food quick. What more can you ask?

Gyros tare pretty good!! Salads are quite large. Nice family place. When you need fast food, but don't want fast food...

Although pricey for fast food it wouldn't be the last on my list for some last minute grub. The food is good and fast, I have to be honest every time I leave there full just wondering where I could have gotten more bang for my buck though. I guess I'm cheap but I'm also young. Lets put it this way Ill eat Brandys if your buying.

The food is ok. They have a ton of things on their menus and there is definilty things they do better then others. I live in walking distance but hardly ever go because for what they serve they are very expensive. The staff always very nice and it is very clean inside. The breakfast in the morning is actually pretty tasty and great if you need a little grease after a night of drinking. Just don't expect to order and run since they make everything when you order it, it can take a little while.

There are oodles of choices at Brandy's. It seems as though almost any craving can be satisfied by a trip to Brandy's. Now I'm not complaining, but this causes problems for me! I go in wanting a salad and leave with a hot dog and fries. I can stand in front of that list for hours and never make a decision - it's not good for me and my indecisive ways! My big complaint about this Brandy's location is the parking - during lunchtime, it's sometimes a squeeze to find a spot. If you are a decisive person, who knows what you want, go to Brandy's. The menu will provide you with almost limitless choices to curb those food cravings.

There is certainly a large menu featuring burgers, dogs and more. Prices can be little high for fast food joint, not the friendliest folks in the world either. I think places should remember they are in the service industry and that we could get food anywhere. Also there item called the "hear attack burger"; how classless. If you have ever known anyone who has heart surgery or been thru heart issues you will not find this cute or clever in any way. Also there is a hospital nearby so this makes this item on the menu even tackier. The food itself is very tasty no doubt, it can get loud in here. They have a television they leave running but usually not any stations I love to see.

I have suggestions for the place that may alter your yearning to visit this place. First- please get more vegetarian -friendly items on your menu. I will be your best customer if you do. Second- please actually cook your fries. Every single time I come here and get fries hoping they will be different, they are soggy and wet. Brandy's does have fantastic milkshakes though and the food is pretty good. They get a little ahead of themselves, with Mexican, Greek and Italian items found on the menu. Always makes me a little nervous because the chefs must go nuts trying to keep track of what is what. Overall good greasy food. I've had the Greek salad and it was not very good- iceberg lettuce, not a lot of trimmings, just pretty bland. The grilled cheese is almost ever cooked through. I order it a lot because they don't have a lot of veggie friendly items on the menu (and the salads aren't that good) and it's just slices of cheese in between bread not melted. Just keep it on the grill for about a minute longer and I will be happy! A lot of adults probably don't order it so they might not even know that people complain. There is a ton of seating, pretty good parking and a huge selection of food. Prices are pretty high for this part of town. $6.29 for a 10 inch sub, without fries- and that is for the cheese sub, the others are even more expensive.

We were very happy when Brandy's opened the employees were very amicable and the food... not bad. But, now I have to agree with some of the comments. Employees could care less, orders are not accurate and overpriced. What finished it for me? While walking to our friend's home we saw a couple of Brandy employees (they were wearing the "Brandy caps) on the side street south of the restaurant drinking (what appeared to be Modelo beer) with the hood up and looking at the engine compartment of their truck. Really??? It's a shame and do they return to work and create our orders? Does management approve? Forget about our family returning. And of course we'll let our friends know, but most of them have been discouraged by the service, the food and it's quality lately. Well, no longer a good place!

Kevin P.
Huge menu with lots of good food to choose from. Prices seem a bit on the high side and I've had a few bad items from there but my favorites are some of the best around. Not the friendliest employees from my experience but the food makes up for it most of the time.

According to the signs, they specialize in bbq ribs and chicken but I was jonesing for a gyro and theirs did not disappoint. The Hungry Man meals are ridiculously big. My hubby was thrilled with the 10" philly cheese steak for $9.75 (incl drink and fries). I took a bite and it was pretty tasty. No complaints about the service except that the guy at the pickup window was checking out women as they walked away. That won't stop me from going back but hubby will be in charge of picking up the food.

I like coming to Brandy's. Their food is good. Their prices are good. And I live about 2 miles away. They have one of the biggest menu's I have seen in a long time. I have tried a whole lot of different things from Brandy's' and I have not had anything I did not like.

Italian beefs are average. The Gyros are pretty huge and tasty -- but not enough of that tatzki sauce in them. I saw some customers eating nachos. They looked pretty bad to me. Standard stock chips and canned queso. Like Robert L. mentioned, there is a large menu. It is so large it probably is 10 feet in width on the wall.

Went there yesterday. I have a half an hour for lunch. I ordered the grilled chicken panini and after only 18 minutes my food arrived. The mother and daughter next to me also also chicken, before I did, and still were waiting after 18 minutes. Ridiculous! At $10+ for lunch the service should be lightning fast. Horrible wait time and an indifferent attitude from the clerk when I mentioned how horrible the wait time was. I;ll pass from now on.

After busting out at Parse's Red Hots I headed over to Brandy's, the next closest place to grab a dog. Place was pretty busy. Ordered a char dog and fries. Was a little shocked at the $7 bill. The fries were fresh cut but hard to tell. I must agree with Catherine R. that the fries left something to be desired. Nice atmosphere inside, but almost got trapped in the parking lot by people double parking and blocking others in. Huge menu and selection. Lot's of Greek cuisine that looked authentic. Too bad I was in the mood for a dog.

Menu has just about anything your mouth could want. I've ordered a number of different items, and friends have ordered others, and we've only rarely been disappointed, and never completely disappointed. Sub sandwiches are done better by other places, but the gyros, burgers, chicken, pork chops, salads are great. I order in advance and my food is always ready and hot when I get there and my order is always correct. Prices are also pretty reasonable. Good place!

Just stopped there tonight for a Gyro sandwich and cheese fries. Both were very good. Pretty quick. As someone else said, the gyro could have used more of the cucumber sauce but still very good. Gigantic menu so yes will definitely go again. As someone else said, it used to be Hollywood Hot Dog, then another hot dog place....but now as Brandy's, it has a nice patio outside. Pretty good.

They have gone crazy with the prices for what you get!! They keep increasing the prices and decreasing the amount of food you get. Grilled Chicken sandwich bland and very dry. Soups are okay except they leave the noodles in the soup and they lose shape.

I miss Hollywood Hotdog with it's cardboard pop-up convertible containers in which would nest your kiddie meal of Hotdogs and fries. But Brandy's is a pretty good substitute. It's lacks character a bit, but it has good food and does seam much cleaner than Hollywood Hotdog or Tastey-pup ever did.

I can't belive I forgot to yelp about Brandys. It is awesome with a huge as menu for a char broiled greek food place. They even have mexican food!! My boyfriend had introduced me to this place last year and I go here all the time. I get the souvlagi dinner and my boyfriend gets the football gyros and we split all of it. My dinner comes with a flat pita bread, yougurt-cucumber sauce, 2 skewers of delicous tender juicy souvlagi, 2 wedges of lemon, tomatoes, and oniones. Phew, but thats not all. then you get a choice of either baked potato, fries, or rice. I get the rice which taste okay because my boyfriend gets a boatload of fries with his big ass gyros stuffed with sauce ,tomatoes, and onions!! AND my dinner comes with greek salad with feta and olives. The food taste incredible and although service can be slow especially when there is alot of people, it is only because they are cooking everything right when you order it so its hot and fresh. It is not priced bad for all the damn food you get no joke!! The place is decently clean ususally when I come and the staff is pretty friendly as well. I just hate the parking when its packed, but hell the food is sooo worth it no joke it taste really really good. Go here and thank me laters ;-)

A huge menu with a selection of food to satisfy anybody. Hot dogs are better than average, the gyros is good but it's the grilled chicken sandwich that takes he cake here. The Greek spices thrown on this complete juicy breast of chicken make the sandwich. It's the thing I order most and they know when I walk in what I will be getting. Definitely worth stopping by and getting!!

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

(3)Daniel C.
Brandy's is a nice place with a big big menu. They are a little on the pricey side but I got their Italian beef and fries. The beefs are good here and the fries are good too and I'm a big fry guy. If they would lower their prices a bit then I would frequent them more.
(4)Linda L.
(4)Lulu R.
(4)Xtina X.
The food here is great! We've eaten here numerous times. WARNING!!!!! If you order something for delivery, you need to SPECIFY that you want napkins and silverware. I understand small family owned businesses need to keep costs down. Maybe the delivery driver should keep some in his car....
(4)Abel A.
(4)Crystal L.
Chicken gyro all the way! I get it with the normal gyro sauce and tomato and omg amazing. I'd eat it everyday If I could. I have never been disappointed!
(5)Peter Z.
Better than average food, but I have to say it's the HUGE menu they offer for whatever mood you are in. It is a staple on our dine in and delivery schedule as a family.
(4)Douglas M.
(2)Veronica O.
Hands down the WORST beef in town. The beef and hot peppers taste out of date. Definitely won't come here again.
(2)Michael S.
(3)Margaret A.
Nothing special but food was edible. Prices a little higher than many other similar spots in the area.
(2)Lauren A.
This is not "fast" food. We waited 25+ minutes last night around 6:30 for a souvlaki sandwich, a gyro, and two orders of fries. I will think twice about coming here again for a quick meal on my way home. Would be faster to go home and bake a casserole.
(2)Homer H.
Worst burger I have ever had. Ordered the double burger and got to rockhard patties on a bun. They still tasted like they were frozen, Except grease was dripping from them. Don't waste your time at this place.
(1)Mike I.
Nearly $10 for a gyro, fries and drink? It better be excellent for that price. Its just above average here. Seating and parking are easy. Very friendly staff. Dont get me wrong, its not a bad joint to go to, just expect the prices to be a little higher than your typical gyro spot.
(3)Nick S.
(1)Elizabeth S.
We order from here for delivery and we pick it up. There's so many options to choose from that it's hard to decide . My guy loves the gyros. I will say that it is getting pretty expensive there.
(3)Shaun S.
I got the Greek rotisserie chicken and it was very good. Nice flavorful skin and the meat was juicy and fell off the bone. The corn nuggets are also really good. I was expecting more of a corn fritter, but this is less doughy and more of just deep fried sweet corn. So good though.
(4)Jackie O.
(2)Brendan M.
Adequate but too over priced for what you get. I looked up the menu online and ordered over the phone. When I paid, the total for two sandwiches was almost $10 more than I was expecting. I don't know who's at fault but the online prices were a whole lot cheaper. Would only return because of the close distance to my home.
(2)AJ M.
(4)Doug R.
Went here for the first time last week. Their menu was unbelievable. I am not sure if this is in any relation to the Brandys on Oakton in Des Plaines, but it was very good.
(3)penny S.
(5)Tom H.
(4)cindy r.

(1)Larry H.
(1)Eva M.
This is a great place for Italian Beef sandwiches. They will fill you up. The beef is not dry or tough. It is so good and juicy. They offer sweet peppers and hot giardineira peppers. They have amazing curly fries too. I usually call ahead and place my order so I don't have to wait for it.
(5)Douglas B.
(3)Tatiana T.
(1)Lestat V.
(3)John P.
(5)Vivian K.
Out of 10 times I ask for utensils/napkins, I get them ONCE! It's delivery, yes I need napkins and a fork! I include this in all caps in the message part... and still nothing. This happens with the Brandy's on Milwaukee too! If I really need to pay extra for this I will.
(2)Maggie A.
As everyone else has said: huge menu! Problem, not that much of is not deep fried or grease-filled (which some days is just what the Doctor ordered, ya know?), but the salads are huge and very pretty. If you can't find something to eat here, just stay home. Patio for summer months too!
(3)Zachary R.
Great Italian beefs. Been there a few times and the food is consistently good. Definitely worth a visit.
(5)Erin P.
(2)Dominick D.
(1)Brittany M.
Really yummy burger, gyros are good, fries are super yummy steak fries. Brandy's delivers and they are quick and nice. 5 stars, not a complaint to be had here!
(5)Jelena Z.
(3)Jenni S.
(4)Virginia H.
Great turkey burgers! When I walk in the nice lady at the register already knows my order!
(4)Laura N.
(4)Mark S.
The food is pretty good. The gyros is delicious but the food is overpriced for sure. The older lady cashier is very rude and lost my business. She needs a smile on her face and fix her personality.
(1)Nick E.
Huge menu and good food! Its a local neighborhood spot for me. Service is always friendly and the food is always good. The chicken gyros are outstanding, not to mention their portions are big as well. At times however it can be a bit pricey depending on what you order. But I would recommend to any one in my neighborhood.
(4)Thomas M.
Another great experience. Ordered online, walked in, picked it right up, and was back home in minutes. Always good food. They do have higher prices, but they give you enough food to make it worth your money!
(5)Chris P.
(2)Michael R.
(5)Jacob J.
(3)Edward W.
You name it they have it here. Gyros, chicken gyros, beef, sausage, pizza, salads etc. Great for a quick bite to eat.
(3)Chris B.
Shrimp basket is a must for lent awesome, never fails
(5)Katie E.
I love love LOVE the gyros! Everything tastes delicious, especially great for hangovers - so it helps that they deliver! I go back all the time!
(4)Sara A.
I volunteer at Wright-Way Rescue and we are always ordering from Brandys. Everything on the menu is delicious! We love the chicken kabob dinner. They also have great customer service!
(5)Tom Z.
(3)Tara M.
(4)Tate B.
(3)Liz M.
(4)Dominic R.
Yum!!!
(3)Gene W.
(4)Bella D.
I get lost here!! : ) Love coming here for quick lunch with my bff gal and we order too much as always!! Maybe a Gyros or Cheeseburger and a pizza puff! LOL Parking lot is great but full always at lunch time but a great place for some major calories treats! : )
(4)Ted H.
(5)Leang E.
(3)Michael M.
(4)Laurie H.
Gyros tare pretty good!! Salads are quite large. Nice family place. When you need fast food, but don't want fast food...
(3)kat m.
(3)Bari L.
(3)Erin V.
(4)B. L.
(3)Katherine R.
(2)Patricia N.
(2)Kevin P.
Huge menu with lots of good food to choose from. Prices seem a bit on the high side and I've had a few bad items from there but my favorites are some of the best around. Not the friendliest employees from my experience but the food makes up for it most of the time.
(4)Eliza C.
(4)Zoran D.
I like coming to Brandy's. Their food is good. Their prices are good. And I live about 2 miles away. They have one of the biggest menu's I have seen in a long time. I have tried a whole lot of different things from Brandy's' and I have not had anything I did not like.
(4)Chris O.
(3)John C.
(2)Kat M.
Mehhhhh. Its ok. really big menu.
(3)James G.
(3)Regina D.
Good place!
(4)Michelle M.
(4)Darla M.
They have gone crazy with the prices for what you get!! They keep increasing the prices and decreasing the amount of food you get. Grilled Chicken sandwich bland and very dry. Soups are okay except they leave the noodles in the soup and they lose shape.
(1)tammy s.
(4)Yahaa T.
(5)Brett N.
