This place is good! They will do a lot of things veggie which is great. Their veggie egg rolls are perfection. They also have yummy ginger beers. Good food for the price too. Exceeded expectations. Will go again (or already have...). I got delivery so I don't know about the space yet.

Yeah, I like. Tasty

My boyfriend and I discovered Blue Sprout during our run today so we decided to give it a try. We both felt it was very tasty thai and the service was super friendly! We just ordered take out but the place is very stylish and modern inside, plus it's byob! We ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls (a little on the bland side), Chicken Pad Thai (yummy), Vegetable Fried Rice (Yummy) and Spicy Basil Chicken (Super yummy). And they have brown rice!!! What a great new place in Logan Square!!!

This was the nastiest Thai food I have ever eaten. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it had no flavor at all. I had to cover it in lemon juice and hot sauce so It wouldn't have been a total waste of money. Crab ragoon was all ragoon and very little crab. Portions were also small. Delivery took a bit over an hour and food had to be reheated when it arrived. I wont be going here again

Today was our first time trying Blue Sprout and I wish we would have gone sooner. Yummy food, reasonable prices, quick and nice service for our take out order. The Samosas weren't like any I've had before, they were super-tiny but tasty. Good small vegetarian egg rolls (probably not made in-house but that's fine). Savory Lad Nar tofu hit the spot. My red curry todu was wonderful (with the addition of a whole little container of hot sauce). I'd like to see a mark for vegan &/or vegetarian options on their menu in the future. We'll definitely be back again soon!

I come here with my girlfriend, once a month. The food is great, and the service is even better. One of the other reviewers said that it was in a ghetto area..? Another said something about small portions. Yet another was about bad service. Logan Square is THE up-and-comer as far as neighborhoods go, and this restaurant is in a great location. The portions are HUGE! My girl and I have to share everything. As far as service, the waiter has filled my water four times since we sat down half an hour ago. Take your bad reviews and shove 'em. This place is tight.

I live nearby and have walked past this place numerous times but finally ventured in with my parents when they were in town since they love Thai food. We went on a Saturday night around 6:30 and it was a ghost town. Only people in there the whole time. Frankly my husband and I were scared to dine here after seeing the dust on the furniture and the desolate restaurant. We tried to convince the rents to walk out. But alas my dad already opened the wine. What's a girl to do? So as I sipped on some red I simply informed him that if and when I got sick, it would be his fault. I could not have been more wrong! The food was dynamite. We tried a bunch of apps, soups and entrees between our group and honestly it was all delicious. The service was friendly and attentive as well. I was still nervous as I ate that it would rear it's ugly head later but it never did. Looks can be deceiving I guess. I would totally eat at Blue Sprout again. However the ambiance tainted the experience a bit- if I had gotten take out I think this would have gotten an extra star. Don't be fooled by the empty storefront - give it a try!!!

Everything was perfect, the portion was big! Lee even threw in free tray of edammame with the order which was very nice. Will definetly order again!!

I love discovering a new neighborhood spot! After spending an entire day hustlin' through the new car buying process (go me!), my hubby and I worked up an appetite. His sis and her boo wanted to scope out a neighborhood spot that didn't require too much walking from our Logan Square apt. Resorting to yelp like I always do, I discover this little Thai restaurant that's also byob (best 4 letter word!). We do the 5 min walk in the cold to find an almost empty restaurant on a Saturday night. I don't mind, more food for me. The perky server greets us and immediately opens our bottles and hands us menus. I take a second to gander at the interior and it looks brand new. All the tables and furnishings are dark cherry wood with modern, minimalist-feel, reminding me of stepping into the ikea kitchen section. What I didn't like was a random cardboard box just a couple feet away from me (I posted a pic earlier) because it drew attention away from such a pretty, clean space. We ordered crab rangoons to start and they were super creamy and cheesy, just the way I like it (mama needs her cheese!). My sis in law and her dude ordered tom khas which they loved and after shared a chicken lard na which they said was mediocre. I later had the tofu pad see ew which was amazing and my hubby had the tofu pad thai (pics posted). He loved his dish but as a pad thai master (self-proclaimed, of course), I wasn't too thrilled. The server was really sweet, checking up on us and refilling our waters every chance he could. Overall, I would suggest this place as a neighborhood go-to for a very laid-back sit-down meal to byob or an awesome take-out spot.

Blue Sprout is a nice gem tucked away between the pillars of Logan Square and Wicker Park. Sure you may expect to see some tumbleweed rollby, but if you do decide to swing through you'll find a sound option for thai. I have tried the chicken pad thai, pad khee mao, and beef salad. They were all well prepared, and each owned distinct flavors that deliver as any thai enthusiast would expect. Spiciness was on point, and the noodle dishes had great texture without being oily. Each dish will set you back about $7 which is a great value as well. For those dining in - other than the restaurant being on a semi-deserted part of milwaukee ave., the interior decor is quite nice. For those taking out - there is a door on the side of the restaurant with a to-go counter. Also, if you order take-out, you can get complimentary egg rolls or crab rangoon if you spend over $15.

Ordered delivery yesterday, and the food came as promised, and still relatively hot. It was tasty, but everything was excessively salty. I ordered veggie gyoza and yellow curry with chicken, and Tom kha soup. I could tell that the curry was well done, but a little heavy on the ginger and salt overpowered the dish and made it almost inedible (if I wasn't really hungry and craving curry, I wouldn't have eaten any), but it was tolerable. The soup was also painfully salty, but I could still taste the fresh cilantro, lemon grass, ginger and coconut milk, so again, it was tolerable. But I was looking for good, not just tolerable. I won't be ordering from Blue Sprout ever again. Positive: The gyoza was perfect.

First of all, this place is in ghetto area. We felt unsafe walking from our car to the restaurant (which was just across the street). As we walked into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us. There were only 1 party of customers when we walked in. Other other tables were messy and not cleaned (and the whole time we were there, no one cleaned.) The bathroom had no paper towel or hand drier. They took forever to come take the order and when the waiter came to ask how everything is, we were done eating. Although i am giving only 1 star, the food came pretty fast and tasted good but the service and environment really ruined my experience. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I ordered delivery shrimp pad Thai and crab Rangoon. I was excited to try this place after reading many of the great reviews. After waiting a short 30 min for delivery (I live very close), I opened up my food to find BEEF pad Thai with 3 pieces of shrimp. I'm a pescatarian and haven't eaten any other meat for over 2 years. I quickly called the restaurant to inform them of the situation. I kindly explained to the man on the phone that I do not eat beef and he said "you ordered through eat street, she said you wanted pad Thai with beef and shrimp." Ok fine. That still doesn't change the fact that I did not order beef and I now have pad Thai from your restaurant with beef. He never offered to replace or give me a meal voucher, just quickly hung up after saying he would talk to eat street. $10 down the drain because I couldn't even eat it. To say I'm disappointed in an understatement. I will not be returning.

It is a very standard Thai place. That being said, the price point is fair and the food is solid. Some of the best spring rolls I have had and their Mango curry was delicious. The food seems to range from average to above average and is priced very fairly, the dining room staff (one older woman) was very friendly, all in all a very acceptable place to eat.
(4)Adam S.
I live very close to blue sprout, thus I order from them frequently. They have always been above average. What made them great was the lovely people that work there. The people are still great there but the food has changed quite a bit after my latest takeout experience. Tonight we ordered beef salad, chicken and rice soup, and chicken panang curry w extra veggies. All of these we have ordered before and we ordered them again because, of course, we liked it. The portion sizes for the salad and curry were so much smaller than what we have ordered before. As far as extra veggies it seemed to be the regular amount (i.e. no extra we paid for). Panang tasted very mediocre and the salad tasted good as we remember, albeit smaller and with significantly less "salad". Only thing that did not disappoint was the chicken and rice soup with ginger; same as before. This area isn't hurting for Thai joints so I won't be ordering from here again any time soon, but they are close enough that I will try them again someday to see if they have changed.
(2)Isabelle F.
Absolutely perfect dish! Fresh and flavorful. I ordered the yaki soba with tofu. Good service as well.
(5)Kyle W.
Decent Thai food with reasonable prices and a huge menu. I've never been to the restaurant but ordered takeout several times. Don't go out of you way but if you're in the mood for Thai you could definitely do worse.
(3)Kexin Z.
Nice sit down place, very reasonable price. I had the best pad see eww there. Highly recommend those who love Thai food.
(5)Kim L.
This is very cozy and small right in the corner. The papaya is my best dish, sweet and spicy. The Tom yum noodle is excellent!! Enough for 2. The pad Thai noodles is average. I enjoy my time here.
(3)Kelsey K.
The space is actually quite sad as this used to be a fine dining establishment, so everything in there is exactly as it was before the previous tenant shuttered their restaurant, but the food is run-of-the-mill Thai food. It's fine, don't get me wrong... I would even say that it's the best Thai food in the area, but it's not anything super outstanding and in a neighborhood filled with outstanding eateries, I'm not so sure how long it will last. I hope that it lasts a while as their delivery is great and their food is better than the other Thai options that are in/will deliver to Logan Square. JUST DON'T GET THE FISH IN MANGO SAUCE... yech, that was gross.

Holy spice! After trying several Thai places, Blue Sprout received my friend's approval. He prefers his Pad Kee Mao nice and spicy, like real spicy. Most places have fallen short but he's always generous in saying "it still tastes good." But when we had Blue Sprout delivered a couple weeks ago, his reaction after the first bite was not so much something translatable, rather, a lot of inhaling and exhaling....t'was a spicy dish. Usually, I'll try his but I opted out of it this time. It did look really good, though. The veggies were bright in color and looked firm, always a good sign. The noodles didn't resemble inflated, overcooked ramen noodles. He devoured it. Me? I tend to stick with my Pad Thai with shrimp and I'll add a little hot sauce depending on what kind they send with the food. Theirs pad thai was delicious, their hot sauce was in a packet that looked like a ketchup packet so I steered clear of the hot stuff. OH - they pulled the tails off the shrimp, HUGE points in my book for that one. (It truly is the little things, isn't it?) It tasted fresh, everything from the noodles to the veggies, especially the shrimp. It was a pretty big portion, too. We also ordered the chicken satay and it was really good. A lot of times the chicken doesn't have any flavor, just a lot of grease, so you have no choice but to use the sauce they give you. Blue Sprout's chicken was super tasty and it wasn't overcooked. We were really happy with Blue Sprout. I'm happy to have dubbed it my "go-to" Thai place. I may step outside of my pad thai comfort zone and explore the menu.

Well, this review may not be fair because I ordered for delivery and in my opinion, most delivery is not that great or at least it would be fair to say, never as good as actually having the food brought to you, piping hot, right from the kitchen. I ordered: Spring Rolls Crab Rangoon Tofu pad see ew Mango Cheesecake Thai Custard The food came quickly and of course, when it arrived, none of it was really hot enough but it was still better than usual delivery and it was also 14 degrees out today. Still, I wish restaurants could figure out a way to keep your food hot (now feeling guilty and lazy for getting delivery - lol). Okay, I love Spring Rolls and always order them at Thai places. These were mediocre because the wrap was dry and tasteless. The inner veggies were fresh but also dry. The sauce was good. The Crab Rangoon was pretty good but I prefer the kind that are flatter as these had all four corners meeting at the top with a perfectly round ball of cream cheese on the bottom. They didn't allow, really, for anything less than shoving that whole ball in the mouth at the same time which while tasty, was too much cream cheese all at once. The Tofu pad see ew has a tasty sauce with perfectly cooked broccoli but I didn't like the noodles which is probably all me. I was hoping they were firmer. I knew this one was a gamble for me because I have never gotten this meal , with this kind of noodle, before. The flavor was quite good but the consistency was a bit gross (but like I said, that's probably all me). The Asians overall really kinda blow it on the dessert front, in my opinion. I really don't know why I bothered. I should have known better than to surrender my sweet tooth to such a healthful menu because the Mango Cheesecake was the biggest disappointment of all (though I have not tried the custard yet). It tasted like it had been sitting in their freezer for months getting freezer burn. Don't waste your money. Overall I was not blown away but would try it again. I would definitely think it better eating there instead of getting it delivered.

Panang Curry dish was delicious, and very spicy (I asked for medium, crazy spicy). Perfect portion, though. Tofu was kinda weird, maybe better off with chicken. Good stuff overall.

Blue Sprout has everything - presentation, service, fantastic flavor and reasonable prices! On a chilly Friday afternoon, Blue Sprout warmed us up from the inside out by serving dishes of surprising spiciness and flavor. The restaurant has a streamlined approach to furniture and decor, remaining tastefully appointed but still exercising a minimalist enough hand with the kitsch necessary to identify it as a Thai restaurant. A Bodhisattva here, a flower there. Each dish was beautifully arranged and contained reasonable portions. We were pleasantly served by an extremely attentive and polite waitress. She kept our water glasses full and refilled our hot teas promptly. The Panang curry was spicy, savory, and deliciously thick and creamy over rice, impregnated with flavors of peanut and red pepper. The Thai fried rice tasted fresh rather than greasy, and was filled with diced veggies. The Pad Si Ew had just the right amount of the sweet and savory signature Pad sauce, and came generously spritzed with lime and sprinkled with crumbled peanuts and chives. An excellent experience that worked out to about $12 per person. I can't praise this place enough. I only hope it maintains this level of excellence if I visit during a busier time.

I used the yelp app to order the food online which was really convenient. We got the Mango Curry and the Cashew Chicken. I also recommend trying the delicious Thai iced tea.
(4)Keith A.
Well, I think meh sums up blue sprout for me. It also sums up the food I've had on two different occasions as well. Blue sprout isn't bad, it's just terribly bland. Like, little to no flavor at all. It's disappointing in all honesty as I want to have a good Thai place near me. Both of the times I've ordered, I've concentrated on noodle dishes. Those are what I generally get when I buy Thai anyway. Sadly the pad kee Mao has no heat to it whatsoever. I'm used to it being spicy, and there wasn't much there. The pad see ew was also bland. I didn't notice any carrots in the dish even though I only asked for no broccoli. I got shrimp with that, and the shrimp wasn't that great either. Blue sprout isn't far from my place, so it is very possible that I will order from here again in a pinch. But, I think I'll explore some other places first. The people here are generally very nice, but the food is too bland when there are other options.

I ordered food for delivery early on a Friday evening, added a tip for delivery to be included on the bill, and added delivery instructions. An hour and fifteen minutes later I get a phone call asking why I have not picked up my food. When I clarified that my order was for delivery I was told the delivery guy was leaving right away. More than a half hour later I called back to ask why my food still had not arrived and the man who answered the phone told me "It will be there" and then hung up on me. When the food did arrive ten minutes later, it was five dollars more expensive than what I had authorized to be charged on my card, and it was the wrong order. Obviously I will never order from this restaurant again.

Whaaaat? 4 & 5 star reviews?! I have never had such flavorless Thai. And watery, watery, watery. I could have saved $40, poured a glass of water and been more satisfied. A GrubHub experience we hope to forget fast. He had seared salmon and egg drop soup. He said it was all watered down and flavorless. Like literally devoid of any flavor whatsoever. I had chicken satay, 5 itty bitty pieces and a cup of peanut colored water. The chicken was rubbery. I also had yellow curry, or I should say yellow colored water with things floating in it. Neither tasted like anything at all. The only good thing was the cucumber salad. Free egg rolls, just larger than taquitos FYI, were awful. Couldn't even eat them. Even the soy sauce and sweet and sour packets were sans flavor. Seriously weird. Just in case you do order the yellow curry, be super careful opening it. I started to take the lid off when a stream of liquid shot out unexpectedly and burned my thumb, adding insult and an actual injury. Skip skip skip it. If you have no taste buds, this place is perfect, otherwise wow, go anywhere else.
(1)Molly A.
SO delicious and reasonably priced! we ordered from blue sprout for the hawks game and were not disappointed in the least. we got the wasabi shumai (best thing we ordered - next time we will have to get two!), mango curry, spicy basil chicken and eggplant, plus the pad kee mao (medium spice, with tofu). they were all unbelievable. the amount of spiciness and sweetness combined was divine, and just enough. the delivery was prompt, and best of all, the bill was SUPER low (plus they threw in two tasty and free veggie egg rolls). i can't wait to order from this place again.

I am so excited for another Thai restaurant in the area. We were only very happy to come here for our weekly date night. First thing: it's BYO, which made us very very happy. And we decided to walk, which made parking issues nearly nonexistent. I can only imagine that on a Congress show night it would be nearly impossible, but it's close enough to the California Stop and, on a non-show night, there's plenty of parking on the street. Now onto the restaurant. It's small in there -- from what we can see at least. There seemed to be more room in the back, but we weren't sure. We sat near the door with a TV to my back and through the mirror (a bit distracting). Our server must've been one of the owners because she was very attentive and personable, probably moreso than I am usually expecting. I ordered the Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly (sooooo good!) and we shared the veggie samosa to start. They are even consistent through their delivery service, when my partner and her friends carried out and had it delivered in record time. Definitely want to come back.
(4)Valery S.
Never ever have I had such tasteless Thai food in my whole life. I love Thai everything, the soups, the rice and noodle dishes, the appetizers - everything. But this place was such a disappointment, the Tom Kha (which is the simplest Thai dish you can ever make) was just some coconut milk in water and a handful of mushrooms - literally, that was it - coconut milk, water, mushrooms. The Mussaman curry, another Thai staple, had even less taste than the three ingredient soup. My husband and I remained hungry that night, as we could not eat that food. I was really excited to try this place, as it's just 5 min walk from my place, but I will never go back.
(1)Angie M.
I've been on a big udon kick lately and have discovered that it's just really hard to get good udon delivered. Blue Sprout came highly recommended by a friend and when I saw they had a chicken and shrimp udon soup for under $8 on their menu, I decided to give it a try. Not bad. There were a few problems, mainly with the proteins being on the overcooked side of things, but I think that's just a product of udon delivery in general. Chicken and shrimp continue cooking in super hot broth when it's transported from the restaurant to a home. There's simply nothing you can do about it. Blue Sprout does, however, pack the spinach and noodles separately, so at least the noodles don't get over-bloated and mushy. Once I dumped in some chili sauce, the broth was very tasty. Certainly simple, but there's nothing wrong with that. The portion was absolutely massive. I'm talking a full quart-sized container of broth and then a small to-go container filled with noodles, so you're looking at a VERY hearty amount of soup. Perfect for when you're having a lazy dinner where you just want to spend a long time slurping noodles and sipping broth. Delivery was prompt and friendly. Do it.
(4)Alejandra C.
I'm not sure why this place isn't more popular. It was a bit destitute when I dined in, but the service exceeded expectations. Excellent orange chicken, crab rangoon, and pot stickers. I appreciate that they have a spread of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Filipino dishes to choose from. I recommend this place for the great location, fabulous customer service, and consistently delicious eats!
(4)Tera D.
In the ongoing quest to find a go-to Thai place in our new neighborhood, we officially have a new front runner. Blue Sprout has a great menu that includes everything you'd expect plus a little more. We started with the wasabi shu mai, which definitely fall into the "little more" category, and were SOOOOOO good. If you like wasabi, please order these! For our entrees we split the bamee noodles and the red curry. The pork in the bamee noodles was awesome, but the flavor profile of the dish isn't my favorite - I hadn't tried bamee anywhere before, so it might just not be my dish. The red curry hit the spot, although I did wish it had a few extra veggies in it. We did takeout, which was ready in 15 minutes. We'll have to dine in soon because the inside was cute and of course it's BYOB. Serving sizes were average, but prices were low, and overall it seemed like a good value.
(4)Justine L.
We come to Blue Sprout for dinner when we have a taste for some Asian comfort food. We always get the pad see ewe, medium spicy. The portions are just right so that I eat almost all of it and my husband the rest and then we're both packed to the brim. I've tried their pad thai and pad woo sen, but prefer the pad see ewe. Haven't ventured outside of the standard noodle dishes yet. Honestly, the best thing about Blue Sprout is that they are SO NICE. They seem to be family owned, so many people work the take out counter. Of the many times we've come, we've been helped by a slew of people and they are all the absolutely most friendly people ever. A smile, a hello, a pep in their speech and a genuine enjoy. Their good spirits have us tied and always coming back.
(4)Alexa M.
The food was really good. If it says spicy it IS SPICY. I'm Hispanic so naturally I can take the heat but wow its hot. Love it! Will be back soon.
(5)Nancy C.
Our return visit to Blue Sprout, this time with guests, was a memorable as the discovery Remember your last bad Asian food place where all the sauces were the same? Blue Sprout has a chef. Sauces and spices complement the food. The rice was excellent as were the noodles. Every dish is distinct. Spices resonate in a manner that brings out the best. Guests raved over the soups. My dish has broccoli that was individually cut, crunchy and green - it is a little thing that adds both to the presentation and the texture of the entire dish. The next day, I wanted more. Oddly there are never many folks dining in. Only complaint is that the TV reflecting in a mottled mirror was bothersome. Depends where you sit. The decor is lovely and the service impeccable.

Knock Knock. Hello? Are you open? There's a ringing phone......nobody is answering it. Oh wait. Somebody answered the phone and they're taking an order so they must be open. Sweet waitress, sit down. -Nobody else in the place- -Cool Private restaurant- Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. No waitress, no movement in the kitchen. There's a ringing phone, again.....nobody is answering it. Oh wait. Somebody answered the phone so they must be coming to take our order. Order took. Good. Entree's come out. Where are our appetizers? Spring rolls and egg rolls are super easy to make...... Ok. Eating entrees because we are super hungry at this point. Appetizers come out half way through the dinner. Ok. The food was good. My companions entree was so hot his face turned beet red. He is a black man so that means it was pretty hot. My singapore noodles were basically curry powder covered vermicelli noodles with 2 pieces of shrimp and a little shredded chicken. Chicken flavored curry powder is really what it tasted like. They did bring the food out smoking hot.....I guess that is all I could really ask for. I guess if I was drunk after a show at the Congress I would eat here again. Otherwise probably not. There are just too many other Thai places to eat at.
(2)Zofia S.
I don't have anything to say about any of their other plates other than their Spicy Chicken Pad Thai. I can't say how much I love it. It's so tasty and not dry at all. It is very spicy for some, but I enjoy it. I see a lot of the reviews mention rubbery tofu. Who eats tofu? No wonder. I don't have anything bad to say. Sure you can say I don't have much to review about, but I enjoyed my meals every time I eat in or pickup. About to order now..
(5)Kristin W.
I needed a little Thai in my life and through an online food ordering system, came across Blue Sprout, although I had never heard of it. I got spring rolls and red curry with beef. In less than an hour my food was delivered, and steaming hot at that. I have NEVER had such hot food delivered, so I was impressed with that from the beginning. The red curry was good, slightly spicy (for me) but I'm a weakling, and it's listed as "medium." The taste was good, creamy coconut flavor with a kick. Fresh vegetables and good hunks of beef. The spring rolls were delicious, fresh and light with sweet dipping sauce. I would definitely recommend Blue Sprout for your cold bland nights on the couch!
(4)Claudea H.
Yummy basil chicken and I highly recommend the appetizer platter. Everything fresh. Will come back.
(5)Jason A.
The people who gave 1 or 2 stars for this place don't know what they're talking about. This place rules and it's got great prices compared to all the other new Logan Sq. restaurants that have opened in the last few years. Recommendations: Spicy Basil Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mao, any curry, Bangkok Chicken, Crab Rangoon. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants in Chicago and this place is in the top 10.
(4)Katrina S.
Unfortunately, due to Monday's pad thai I must downgrade the previous review. The few times I have been here the pad thai has been dramatically different. This time it was the worst. It was sickeningly sweet and almost soupy - too much sauce. I had requested extra sprouts but there were hardly any and no green onion. The rice noodles were also thinner than the previous orders - I believe it was angel hair. Just not good and thew most of it away. I will be afraid to try again which bums me out. We need good consistent thai in Logan Square!
(2)molly w.
crab rangoons were delicious. free spring rolls were not. panang curry was watery and lacked flavor. singapore noodle was acceptable. the search continues for a go-to thai place in logan square.

Great food! Great price! We had dinner for two and spent under $30. There aren't a lot of places that you can say that about. We stumbled on this place as we were driving down Milwaukee Ave and decided to give it a try. The place was empty, which can mean any number of things, but I blame the freezing rain and the fact that it was Wednesday night. Robert was so friendly when he greeted us and offered up his recommendations when we asked. Try the wasabi shumai. You will not be disappointed. We got a second order after we finished our entrees. They were that good. They deliver and are on GrubHub as well, so there is no excuse to not at least give them a shot. At this price point, you really have nothing to lose. Thanks Robert! Good luck and we'll see you next time!
(5)george k.
My GF and I ordered from here last night. Not much to say other than: The prices are great, the food is good and the delivery is fast. We tried a variety of items and ended up getting 3 entrees and an app. 3 of the 4 items were really good. So this is a win for me. I am glad it has been added to the neighborhood.
(5)Levi B.
A++, would eat again! Ordered delivery from them last night via Grub Hub. They set an hour delivery time and were 10 minutes early, so that was kind of nice. Although I realize maybe the time was just set so long that it seems better when they're early. Anyway, the veggie fried rice was the best fried rice I've had in a loooooong time. Lot's of different stuff thrown in there, great tasting rice. Friends got chicken teriyaki and wontons and said they were okay. But that fried rice man, so good.

Easy pick up entrance & Tasty food. Finally a good Thai option in Logan Square.

Let me start by saying I am generally NOT a big fan of Asian food--especially Thai. For some reason tonight, I was craving some but didn't just want Chinese that was so-so. Looking on GrubHub, my hubby and I found Blue Sprout. There are so many options and different Asian varieties, I was excited to try something. We ended up ordering the Combo Appetizer to share, my husband got Pad Woonsen, and I got Spicy Basil Chicken and a side of Edamame. Reviews are as follows: Combo App: Veggie Potstickers- ok, but I prefer meat in them. Vegetable Samosa- good, but very small. would like them bigger so there could be more filling inside. Crab Rangoon- I don't like crab rangoon, but my husband said it was good. Coconut Shrimp- I don't like seafood, but these were AWESOME! Shumai- Hubby says "no thanks" to those and he loves seafood and Asian food! Edamame was good; pretty hard to screw that up. I LOVED the Spicy Basil Chicken with rice. Sauce comes on the side, so you can make it as spicy (or not spicy) as you want. My husband's Pad Woonsen was in his words, "a pleasant surprise; the sauce was just perfect". Fair warning though, it's a bit messy! Safe to say we will be ordering from there (or dining in) again!

We ordered delivery from here. The food came very quickly and everything was delicious. The egg rolls were very good, much better than most, and they stayed crisp through the delivery. The coconut shrimp was good, but not great. They were slightly overcooked, but I would try them again. We ordered the Pad See Ew, and this was definitely the winner! The noodles in the dish were some of the best that I have had in a Thai dish. The sauce was well balanced in this dish as well. We also ordered the spicy basil chicken w/ brown rice. This dish was really good, but it was not the best I have had. It could have had a little more spice and a little more flavor. Most of these negative things I pointed out are very minor. I definitely recommend this place and will order from here again.

You can't be the quality and the price on some Thai food. The Blue Sprout is BYOB with no corking fee. The girlfriend and I grabbed two apps the Crab Rangoon and the Sweet Potato Naan Both were great and the Crab Rangoon tasted fresh homemade and fresh. We really enjoyed our entrees too. The Spicy Basil Eggplant Chicken was great with just the right amount of heat. (Got mine with medium spice). The Blue Sprout Fried Rice had a great sweet coconut undertone. I think the best part was getting in and out for under $30 while having great food.

it has been SO LONG since i have eaten inside a thai food restaurant. we didnt eat in at this one, delivery. i go by it a couple times to week on my way to work and keep attempting to remember to try this instead of Anong - which is our regular thai place. so, last night was it! it was pay day and i went all out 2 entrees and 3 appetizers - delivered. first, delivery was pretty quick, less than the 45 minutes they said. we ordered: sweet potato naan appetizer - this is like a pancake...it even comes with maple syrup, tofu cubes - deep fried tofu, pretty thick, and thai spring rolls...the sauce was good but i am just not a huge fan of thai spring rolls. the entrees were pad thai with chicken and the singapore noodle. they were both "a-ok" as yelp suggests, nothing spectacular. couldve used more hot sauce - we only got two very small half full containers of hot sauce and had to break out the siracha instead. so, ultimately, this got 3 instead of 4 stars because i was irritable last night and i didnt get enough hot sauce. but all around it is just another thai food restaurant!

Boyfriend and roommate ordered a whole platter one hungry Friday. Food came quick, hot, crispy, and delicious. Great selection!

Ate here 2 weeks ago and the service was horrible. We were one of two tables sitting so it was not to busy to give good service. We rarely send food back that we order but my husband ordered soup and the broth was tasteless so he asked to switch it for another soup. The soup tasted just like water. The waitress who was difficult to communicate with, brought out the owner who said he would bring out a different dish but had to charge us 1/2 price for the dish we did not like and were sending back. The only reason I gave 2 stars in stead of 1 is my dish was very yummy.

This restaurant has the best Thai food around. I order from here and only here for Pad Thaii and Vegetable Egg Rolls. I usually do carry out and my wait is usually 5 minutes. The owners are so hospitable and nice. Once I ordered food from here for take out and when I went to pay I didn't have my debit card with me. I ran to my car to look for it and to my apartment (which was 200 feet away). I didn't find it. I was very concerned as most would be. The owner let me take the food without paying as long as I came back the following day to pay. I loved how trusting he was. I payed the next day and he even asked about my card. I did end up losing it! The first two times I came in one of the workers (a women, not sure name) gave me an extra order of egg rolls (not on accident). Last weekend my brother and I went here to eat and he said it was really good and immediately decided this would be his official "go to" for thai food. He lives fairly close to me and said he was jealous I had such a great thai place so close to me. I would agree. Eating in the restaurant was a very pleasant experience and the server was so gracious and hospitable. Overall, I love this place and hope they stay! It is nice that there is a thai good like this in Logan Square! I have never written a review before, but this place has such great food and customer service I wanted to write a review.

So yummy! Come here for lunch during work. The lady that works there is beyond sweet & awesome & the foods so good. The lunch special is incredibly cheap it's $7 or $8 for soup, appetizer & entree I like to get the crab Rangoon & tofu pad thai. The toffee comes in large slices not some tiny pieces like in some thai restaurants. There's never been anyone there when we've gone which is a shame because this place is amazing! If I lived close by I'd be here several times a week

Oh my. Lol I don't know people.. not impressed. It had some potential and the one waitress/hostess/busser was very sweet, charming and so polite! The epitome of asian obedience, she bows a lot. I feel like with asians there's no in between. It's either plenty of sass or docile obedience. SASS! obedience. SASS! obedience... complete with head bow after every sentence. Too bad she's MIA most of the time because it seems like it's just her and the cook in the back running the show. Kudos and I understand. It's mostly dead in this place but there's no door bell or bells- anything to let them know that someone just walked in the door. So we stood there for awhile *crickets* then just sat ourselves and grabbed two menus. BYOB by the way! Day drinking here we come. On to the food... I had the pad thai and my friend had the pad see ewe with crab rangoons to split. The rangoons were big and alright. Plump with cream cheese. My pad thai was interesting. It's really, really saucy making the noodles borderline gummy. It was edible and alright. I was famished. Definitely not your standard traditional pad thai hence no pickled turnip bits. Made me yearn for Ben's- the polar opposite (not saucy). Let me sum it up: Dead, slow but sweet with lackluster thai food. My friend lives in the neighborhood and I was in the mood for asian flavors so that's my excuse. Otherwise skip it. I'll be nice and give 2 stars.

I really like the chicken rama and my wife enjoys the tofu pad thai and the blue sprout fried rice. It is a very casual neighborhood place. We are regulars and they always remember my wife's order.

After driving around confused about what to eat, saw this place and parked.... SO GLAD I DID! It was empty but it was almost closing time, so I got takeout. It was ready in like 5 minutes! I've had Thai before so I was expecting fire hit lava. Exact opposite. The Orange is the best non spicy orange chicken I've every had. The sauce is not thick like glue, but so flavorful. Veggies were crisp. Cucumber salad is very nice that dressing is on the side. Will go again.....soon!

Sloooooow delivery. Had to call. No reason. Cold food. Won't order again.

Really great food! First time here and brought my family with. We enjoyed crab ragoon, veggie potstickers and egg rolls for appetizers.; all were delicious. Two of us got the green curry, and the others got fried rice dishes. Good portions and good flavor. Plus they are BYOB. Our server could have been a bit friendlier hence 4 stars instead of 5. We were considering trying dessert but she came silently to our table and dropped off the check without saying a word to us/ not asking if we'd like anything else...guess no dessert? Will definitely be back though. The food was good with good prices!
(4)Joel M.
Great food for the price, I get take out like once per week. They're also really friendly and have fast service. The crab rangoon is my favorite and love their curry dishes.
(5)Veronica R.
Came in on an afternoon super last minute.. Food was fast and pretty good.. We had the whole place to ourselves and popped out the mother of all wine bottles.. :) Veggie Samosa's are yummy. The Pad Thai was good, a little chewy, but still good. The price is beyond reasonable, the place has potential, just seems so cast away..either way me likes!

I order takeout from this place about once a week and it is absolutely wonderful. I am obsessed with their pad kee mao and its spicy goodness. Staff are always friendly and food is made quickly, usually in less than 10 minutes. Although on the rare occasion they mess up the order, they always make a new one and deliver it for free with no problems. And I have noticed that this place isn't much of a sit-down restaurant, I think most of their business is in takeout/delivery. I think this might be why the place is always so cold when you walk in - there is no one eating in to keep comfortable. Definitely 5 stars because it's great having good thai food close by and made by nice people.

In my opinion this is the first viable Thai place in Logan Square and for that matter Bucktown. Very pretty space that was home of the short lived accanto, full menu that contains unique and more authentic dishes. The tom kha was made with lime juice and not vinegar (a huge plus that means they give a shit). Also I had the chive dumplings. Get them fried. Dishes a little dumbed down however (baby corn, bamboo shoot). Have them guide you to the dishes they prepare the best and ask them to make them like they would in Thailand.

I just moved into this neighborhood and tried various delivery places for thai and this by far has been my favorite so far! The service is very fast and the food is very good! The Yellow curry is my favorite. The noodle dishes have the noodles delivered in a separate container so they don't get soggy.
(4)Robin W.
Thank God for a little Thai homecooking! The Square is in dire need of good Thai. The other recent additions are good, but more trendy. I just want some traditional pad thai, pad woonsen, tom kha, etc. Blue Sprout does the basics right! The prices are great. Delivery took um... awhile, but it was worth the wait. I'll probably try to dine-in next time!
(4)Philip G.
Their Pad See Ew was fantastic, as well as the crab rangoon and orange chicken. Great atmosphere, very friendly, and definitely aim to please. The prices and quality are excellent! I hope they last, as there is a real shortage of good Asian food in Logan Square. Check them out!
(4)Jackie F.
Great food and great prices! I have eaten here 3 times now and love their food. Shumai, Pad See Eiw, Yaki Soba noodles, and spicy basil chicken are all excellent. Avg entree price is about $7-$8 and the restaurant is also BYOB. Definitely is a go to place for me now!

This review is for the delivery option - it was WAY fast. We ordered on Grubhub paying via Paypal and had no problems whatsoever. We got our food in about 30 minutes. The vietnamese noodle soup was pretty good, but the spring roll was a little strange: cut like sushi rolls and the wrapper was more like wonton wrapper rather than rice paper. The red curry dish was terrific and spicy. One large entree with rice, a HUGE container of soup, spring rolls, cucumber salad and a side of broccoli delivered all for about $30. Nice.
(4)Marshall G.
Decent food but dreadful service. Don't order delivery from here! They made a mistake on the order and would not even take responsibility, let alone fix it. A couple more repeats to other customers of what they did to me and they will be out of business.

Great Addition to Neighborhood! This is our new go to Thai spot. Delivery/take out is fast and the restaurant is well decorated. BYO is also a plus! The crab rangoon are second to none and the egg rolls are great too! We also like the spicy basil chicken, chicken with mixed veggies and the pad see ew with beef. I also love the spicy chicken and noodle salad and the beef and cucumber salad. I really want this place to succeed because we need more Asian food options in the area and it's a bright spot on this strip of Milwaukee Ave!

So glad to see that other reviewers agree with the feeling I had after I walked away from Blue Sprout yesterday. I'd seen it from the outside multiple times, but honestly the look of it rang "expensive" in my mind. One day I noticed they had menus outside, so I finally took a look...and wow! Pad Thai for under $7 a plate. I've been going to my same Thai favorite place downtown - Panang - and had not yet found another I liked better. Well...I just did. The service was beyond amazing; only one lady was serving everyone (not that the place is big), and she honestly made my husband and I feel guilty about not having the as much of a servant's heart as she did. She was sooo sweet...constantly refilling our water, always smiling. I started coughing at one point (I tend to when I eat spicy things), and a minute later she came and asked me if I was OK, if the food was too spicy, if she could get me anything. WOW. Not to mention...the food was delicious. Now, I'm no expert on Thai - but I know I love it, and I know what flavor is. This had more flavor than anywhere else I'd been, and yet it wasn't greasy. They also had some Japanese dishes, and even an Indian dish or two. Will be going here as our favorite place from now on!! By the way, they do have maybe 5 parking spots to the left of the building that are reserved for customers only. Otherwise, you can find street parking (though probably meter).

We placed an order to-go and it was ready quickly and at a fair price. The food was tasty and I'd definitely do another take out order. Not sure if I would dine in though, it is super quiet in there and I felt like everyone was in on each others conversations.

Great Thai place. Ordered delivery - food arrived hot, still crispy, in 25 minutes, shorter than the 45-60 quoted on Seamless, and the driver followed the special delivery instructions. Tasty food, will definitely order from this restaurant again.
(5)Jorge M.
So good been to a ton of Thai places and this one is up there. Don't let the fancy look of the place detour you. Great food at a great price. The wait staff is super attentive. I ordered the pad kee mow extra spicy and these bastards knew how spicy it was because they were filing my water every every 5 minutes. I didn't care if I was sweating and my nose was running it was great. The pork sumai (probably spelled wrong) was great! Please check it out totally head over tits over this place.

Came here on a Thursday with girl friends...well, we got to talking and not much menu reading, so it took us a long time to decide on appetizers...and to order...but owner/server Robert was patient and helpful. He suggested two dishes and we chose one blind and they were all great! We also got his take on the direction Blue Sprout is heading, which was interesting and exciting. He is a guy that is passionate and lucky enough to be doing what he loves and it shoes in the food served at Blue Sprout. See for yourself!

When we walked into this restaurant, there were two couples there and no staff in sight. We sat down and waited a few minutes before our server came out of the kitchen. After that, the service was very good. Only one waiter in the restaurant, but he did a very nice job. Like other reviewers have said, the decor was beautiful. The food was good. Prices very reasonable. We also appreciated that it was BYOB. I think this restaurant could be a 5 star place in a few months. More people need to discover it. While we were there, two people stopped in for carryout and got their food very quickly. A group of three stopped in, didn't see a waiter, and left again. Once there's more of an atmosphere, I think this place will be a real gem.

Simply terrible. Our cold, flavorless, tiny portioned food was delivered to less than half a mile from them. Awful mushy wonton in warm water is there version of wonton soup. Small burnt dumplings were bland and cold.Their crab rangoons were ok. the pad thai was bland but edible. I should have just ordered manee thai 2 as usual, but I wanted to try something new in my neighborhood. Epic Fail!!!! I should have just eaten the cash.

My friends and I stumbled upon Blue Sprout while we were waiting for a concert at The Congress. Everything we had was amazing!! Great hospitality and super yummy food and AFFORDABLE!
(5)Betsy B.
Good stuff! They just opened up 6 days ago and they're still finding their feet I think. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious! Only rating it 4 stars because we love fresh spicy peppers etc... and when we asked for super spicy it came out lacking that super spice so we were given the sauce that sits on the tables. Perhaps this was just a miscommunication though. The food was still amazing. The interior is really nice, and it's great to support new businesses with sweet employees :)
(4)Karl O.
Good food. Good prices. Good service. Clean modern look. Usually quiet. This is not your typical cookie cutter Thai place. They have dishes from India, the Philippines, Japan and most countries in between. I love the yakisoba, lumpia, miso soup, cucumber salad. BYOB. I usually pick up but have dined in.
(4)Lisa J.
We threw two take out meals away after eating only a few bites- they were awful. There is wonderful thai food in the city. I'm truly sorry to report that it's not here.
(1)Rebecca P.
Awesome! What I really like about this place is the freshness of the ingredients and how zesty the food still is without slathering it in oil like a lot of Thai places in Chicago seem to do. This is for sure the best thai I've had in Chicago so far. Splice that with super cheap prices and really nicely done decor, it's just a great restaurant all around. I'll be back for sure!
