Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I want to write this review but I don't want to write this review. Let me explain myself. I came here with a Groupon. I got a large BBQ Bacon Pizza and a large Buffalo Chicken Pizza with medium sauce. I brought them over to my buddies house for the Bulls game. The pizza was how I expected it to be, delicious until my health conscious body realized what it was being stuff with. This occurred right about when I hit my third slice. These specialty kinds of pizzas just do not sit well with me. This applies to the ones I had at Bije's, as well as ones that I've had from California Pizza Kitchen and other similar places that make exotic pizzas. I should have ordered a mushroom, sausage, and black olive pizza and am sure my taste buds would have been satisfied. However, i was hanging with a couple of friends and watching a Bulls game, so I figured these two pizzas would compliment the game and scene of things a little more than your typical pizza. Guys, Sports, Buffalo Wings....but pizza style :) As I have said, the first couple of slices were great. I actually liked the BBQ Bacon Pizza a lot more because the saltness of the bacon combined with the zest of the BBQ sauce really mixed well with the cheese. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was a bit bland and probably would have tasted better with the suicide sauce rather than the medium sauce. Then again, I am not sure how hot the suicide sauce ranks in at, if it were too hot, it might not be enjoyable. Regardless, I do not think one can go wrong with the BBQ Bacon Pizza. The reason why I debated heavily on writing this review was because I knew I had a bias going into tasting these two pizzas. I knew that at some point my stomach would remind me of my Dad's favorite quote, "A man has got to know his limitations" (Dirty Harry aka Clint Eastwood). For me, my limitations are a typical old fashion simple topping type of pizza, nothing extravagant. I realized that I had tossed my limitations out the window as I saw the grease of the cheese glisten off of the top of the pizza and felt the lard of the bacon clogging my arteries. I should have known better, but I wanted to get something that the guys would appreciate and am always up for trying new things. Therefore, is it really fair that I express my opinion on this pizza? I don't know. I guess you, the reader, get to be the judge. I can tell you one thing though. If I was tossing back beers (even though I don't drink anymore), getting my buzz on, and looking forward to a heavy night of partying...these pizzas would have fit the mood and situation perfectly. This is good "let's get completely wasted and chow down on some greasy food at the end of a long night" pizza. Ya feel me? I hope so :) Now I finally get to mention the thing that I've been most looking forward to write about in my review. Carl Quilici. He's the owner and he's a hell of a guy. I walked in the door to pick up my pizza and was greeted by his wonderful personality. We got to talking for a few seconds. I hear a little history on how long his restaurant has been around and can tell he is really sincere about making people feel welcomed when they come into his place. He is also a very humble person who realizes the economy is ruff, but rather than complaining about matters, he gives praise to the Lord for blessing him with enough business to remain open. God Bless guys like him who do not take things for granted and whom always remain thankful. Carl, if you are reading my review, I am sorry that I only gave your place 3 stars. However, while I do not live in the immediate area of your bar, I will definitely make it a point to visit you again one day and to suggest your pizza to all of my friends who live in the surrounding area. I have some really diehard Karaoke buddies too and will definitely bring up the fact that your place is the place to be on Thursday nights. In the meantime, I wish you all the best brother and hope that anyone else reading this review has the pleasure of meeting you and tasting your delicious pizzas. Thanks for everything.
